Why a FAQ?
I enjoy playing this game, especially on a hot summer's day. You dive for
treasure, and explore wrecks and the ocean bed for items. There isn't much of
a story, and really the diving and salvaging is pretty much all you do, but
Everblue has a gentle charm that I find soothing.
Perhaps it is not surprising that this is yet another PS2 game that has no
FAQ, but I thought I would attempt to rescue it from complete obscurity. After
all, there might still be a place for a first person diving game, and the
diving part of Everblue is very good indeed.
If you enjoy this, then there is another Everblue game called...Everblue 2,
which is slightly more complex in that it involves more characters, and some
aggressive fish. There is also Endless Ocean on the Wii, which is similar and
easier to find.

Resetting the Game
------------------
Press the L1,L2,R1,R2,START and SELECT buttons at the same time during the game
to return automatically to the title screen.
--------
Settings
--------
You can select from 6 different sounds for the sonar and board colours.
You can change the message speed to slow/normal/fast/very fast.
The flashlight and underwater controls can be reversed.
----------------------
01. Saving And Loading
----------------------
You can ONLY save the game when you (as Leo) are above sea level. You can make
a total of 8 saves, but beware, as each save uses up a lot of memory card
space.
You will get a Game Over screen if you dive too deep, run out of air, try to
carry too many items, or get attacked by too many sharks! (Not really, as
there are no aggressive sea creatures in this game.) But it is surprisingly
easy to get caught out if you find yourself lost in a dark wreck with no exit
close by. If this happens all progress since the last save will be lost, but
other than that there is no penalty.
----------------
02. Diving Guide
----------------
This is a game about diving, and so that is what you spend most of your time
doing. You play as Leo, (Leonard) and no, you cannot change the name.
As in the real world, so in the virtual, and all the things you would expect to
see are here. The game lets you see exactly what is going on so you can check
on everything all the time while in the water. Your compass will help you swim
in the right direction, you can see your depth, stamina and air, and you are
warned if you are running low on anything. You carry a sack to put anything
you find inside, and how much you can carry is restricted by the size of the
sack.
There are red warning icons that are shown on screen if you are at risk:
- a red sack shows that you have exceeded the load for the sack.
- a red dive-suit shows when you are running low on stamina.
- a red air tank shows when you are running low on air.
If you see all three then get back to the surface immediately! This is easy
to do when you are in the ocean as you just select "Surface" from the menu,
and you will automatically be returned to the docks if you have a boat.
However, if you are inside a vessel, it is not so simple, because you will
have to find the exit point before you can either go outside to the ocean, or
surface back to town. You can continue to swim even if you have run out of
air, but your stamina will decrease rapidly and although you can boost it with
Mega-ade and Supertonic recovery items, their effects will be short-lived.
Although you will not be able to stay in the water for very long to begin with,
eventually you will gain better equipment and diving skills. Your staminaa
increases as a result of undertaking longer and deeper dives, and the maximum
is 9999. In fact, the game is fairly non-linear as you can go where you like
for much of the time, the only restriction being your stamina, dive suit and
air. You can even gain access to a wreck before you have officially found it:
if you can locate it.
---------------------
03. Island Guide: Map
---------------------
The island of Daedalus is where you are based and there are various diving
spots around the island. You can see a map of the whole area from the menu
screen, and this also shows ocean depths when you put the cursor on an area and
leave it there for a moment. The map works on land and in the water.
You can see where you previously surfaced as indicated by a blue flag, and the
location of your previous dive, as indicated by a red flag. After you have
found a wreck you are able to go back there instantly simply by talking to the
boatman at the docks, and using the cursor to pinpoint the precise spot which
is labelled on the ocean map. However, later on in the game the places you
want to explore are beyond the reach of the boat and you have to swim there
from the edge of the uncharted water.
You can also visit the main town and talk to people there and buy and sell
things. There is the appraisal place where you pay to have chests unlocked and
new finds identified, an auction room where you can buy and sell items, a
synthesising facility where you can make recovery items and precious jewels,
and various shops and individuals who will be interested in receiving different
things from you. The fact that you have to use the cursor to point and click
for movement when in town, makes things much simpler.
----------------------
04. Photographs: Album
----------------------
Once you reach a certain level of diving proficiency, which is actually early
on in the game, you are given a camera and then can photograph aquatic life.
Your pictures can be put into an album and shown to the local photographer.
Not much is made of this feature, though you can take some nice pictures if
you want.
--------------------
05. Titles And Coins
--------------------
There are a number of titles that you can receive for various achievements and
tasks completed, although these are just there for fun, this is one of the
main goals of the game: to get all possible titles. Coins are also listed
under the same heading in the menu, and these are a sign of a special
friendship and given when you do something especially nice for someone, or
fulfil a request. You will often be rewarded in other ways as well, sometimes
with cash, valuable items or with additional information.
-------------
06. Game Flow
-------------
The basic pattern of the game is this:
DIVE > PICK UP ITEMS > SURFACE > APPRAISE > GIVE/SELL AND BUY > REST AND SAVE.
REPEAT!
You will have the chance to explore huge wrecks and collect a vast range of
items. When you first pick something up, although you will see its weight, you
won't know exactly what it is or how much it is worth. To find out more, you
must get the item appraised and this costs money. You will also find chests
and boxes which have to be unlocked (again costing cash), and then the items
inside may also require appraisal. (The last thing you pick up is first on the
list for appraisal.) This means that you need a steady supply of gold (the
currency in the game), and must sell things in order to have enough for all the
appraising.
The majority of items that you can find inside wrecks will regenerate for each
visit. Only the chests, travel case, trunks or boxes are single and non
repeatable finds. If you intend to sell or give something to someone, first
make sure you can obtain it again.
Before setting out to dive again always remember to rest as this will recover
all stamina and refill your air tanks. Even if you have run out of money you
can still stay at the inn, and just have to agree to wash dishes.
o After each dive speak to people again and things may have changed.
o Even if you don't find much on a dive, stay underwater as long as you can,
and you may get an increase in Stamina.
o There is no time limit, and you can go wherever you like when diving, the
only restriction is your equipment and stamina, and having a boat!
o Only sell things that can be found again. Keep items that look as though
they might have a use, especially things found inside chests.
o Your inventory does not count towards your diving sack, so you can store as
much as you want.
o Be nice to people and help them out whenever possible and you will be
rewarded with items, new information and their friendship coin.
o Upgrade equipment whenever you get the chance, and go on extra dives to find
and then sell stuff, if you need more cash for better things.
o Don't forget to recover after every dive. This is cheap, (only 60G), and you
can do as many dives as you want without much cost, besides your time. Even
if you have no cash you can still rest, though you have to wash dishes!
o DO NOT SELL THE WETSUIT. You will be given this and must keep it, as you
cannot buy a replacement, and it is essential for Cao's race. (All credit to
cade who found out about this.)
o You cannot pick up heavier things, (in wrecks) until you have a larger sack.
Anything that has a light showing around the edge can be taken, but if it
does not show this light, then it is too heavy for your current sack.
o You can only find things on the ocean floor if you are using the correct
sonar. If you have equipped the wood element, for example, you cannot find
clay items. Many chests can be found this way using the Metal element sonar,
and precious stones using the Stone element.
o When you find items listed in green, don't sell these because they will be
useful in fulfilling various requests.
Although I have listed as many items as possible and tried to identify all
locations, there is a degree of randomness about many of the treasures you can
find. Don't be alarmed if you don't find exactly the same things, especially
on the sea bed. However, the things inside the wrecks have set locations, and
most of these items will re-generate. Chests are one-off finds, and they also
have fixed locations.
Select "New Game" and you will be in the first scene immediately. After
pressing X a few times to complete the talking you will find yourself
underwater. Move forwards using the left stick.
If you want to check the controls and information, press Triangle to bring up a
small menu to the upper right of the screen. Use the directional buttons to
look at each section.
o------------------o
| Sack | You can read the item Poetica in the sack.
| Sonar | You cannot examine the quest item: Gaea Gem.
| Map | You can change the settings to suit.
| Quest Items | The other sections are not available.

o----------------------------------o
| Time 0.01'06" Sack 150/10000g | At the bottom of the screen you can see
o----------------------------------o current diving time, sack items and cash.
You will notice that the time stops when you are in this menu. There is
nothing much you can do with anything, and you cannot use the surface command,
as this is just the introduction to the story.
Go on down the corridor using the right stick for the flashlight and the left
and right together to control sideways movement. Use the left stick pressed up
for forwards movement.
You will stop at the end of the corridor and a message will ask you to press
the R1 or X button to open the door. Do this and then, continue forwards and
turn to the right until you reach another closed door. Press X to open it and
carry on and then a scene will occur. After the scene, press X to clear the
message on screen.

Leo and Marco
ooooooooooooo
Leo is found at the docks talking to Marco. Answer whatever you choose, and
scroll through the conversation until you are told to get an item from "our
apartment". Speak to Marco again to get more information and then move the
cursor to the right of the screen to "Town Edge".
Now you can point and click to talk to all the people you see and get
information about the inn from the doors next to Ursula on the left. You can
rest at the inn and get your tanks filled, though you don't need to do that
right now.
Click on the green door at the top of the stairs for information about
appraisals, and the small green door under the stairs locates Gorto's
Synthetics. You can speak to Carlo, Ursula, Captain Marcello, Gallo, and the
Steel Drum (!) Clock on the poster on the wall at the bottom of the steps:
this is the Newspaper.
Click on the blue door at the top right of the screen and you get Wood Element
and the option to read three books. These will always be available if you
want to check them again later.
ooooooooooooooo
The Three Books
ooooooooooooooo
A. INTRO TO DIVING
1. Equipment
Change equipment using the "Gear" menu. You have five types of gear. All the
first four things can be upgraded:
Suit: determines how deep you can dive
Tank: determines how long you can stay under water
Fins: determine how fast you can swim
Sacks: you use this for the things you collect.
Miscellaneous equipment: things that might help you.
2. Dangers
There will be an alarm mark when the conditions are dangerous. This could be:
a) a tank alarm: when you have used half your air
b) a suit alarm: when you have dived beyond the capabilities of your suit
c) a sack alarm: when you carry items beyond the weight capability of your sack
These last two mean that you lose stamina. You can compensate by throwing
away things from the sack.
B. INTRO TO EXPLORING
1. Item Appraisals
When you return to shore you should get your items appraised. Then you can
decide what to do with them.
2. Uses of Items
Sell them, give them to people or collectors, hang on to them. You will need
money for buy better equipment and this is how you make it.
C. MARCO'S NOTE
1. For those in a hurry: use the right analogue stick to speed through text.
You can chance the message speed as well. It is listed under Settings.
2. For those with time to spare: use SELECT to find out more about items and
see information on maps. You can turn off the movement arrows in town.
ooooooooo
The Sonar
ooooooooo
When you have seen everything, (and there is not much), go back to the
previous screen at the Docks, and speak to Dino on the boat if you wish, and
then speak to Marco. He is standing directly under the left hand white sail
of Dino's boat.
He will give you the Sonar and then tells you to attach the element to the
Sonar. This will enable your sonar to detect items made of wood, which
includes furniture, paintings, chests, etc. You need the Sonar because the
things you are searching for on the ocean floor are not visible. They are
buried in the sand and the sonar will give a reading to indicate exactly
where.
Check out the Help for more instructions on how to use the Sonar. You use the
L1 button to listen for the sonar pulse.
1. When an item responds, it will reflect the pulse and give you an idea of
how far away it is.
2. If it far away the sonar pulse will take a while to bounce back to you.
3. If it is close the pulse will return to you almost at once.
4. If there is no item, then there will be no pulse.
5. To get the item, press X or R1 to pick it up.
Now press triangle and you can check your menu and save your game. (The save
screen is rather nice with lots of fish displayed, and your current location,
time played and cash will be recorded.)
ooooooooooo
Diving Gear
ooooooooooo
You start with very basic gear: just a bathing suit, a Mini-tank and belt
pouch.
Your current stats are shown at the bottom right of the screen.
These are Stamina: 800/800
Air: 200/200
Cash: 5000G
This section introduces the overall pattern of the game as outlined before:
DIVE > PICK UP ITEMS > SURFACE > APPRAISE > GIVE/SELL AND BUY > REST AND SAVE.
REPEAT!
ooooooooooooo
Let's DIVE!!!
ooooooooooooo
Speak to Marco and select Dive. Even if you are not yet sure about how things
work, the easiest way to find out is to have a go! The worst that can happen
is that run out of stamina or air and drown. Game Over I'm afraid, so make
certain to save first!
1. Watch the green numbers at the top left of the screen to see what is
happening to your St.(stamina) and Air. These will slowly decrease as you
move deeper and further. As your stamina decreases the ocean starts to
turn pink. To begin with it will be your stamina that goes first. If it
decreases too much you will die and it is GAME OVER!!!
2. The small vertical green bar indicates your current depth.
3. Now press Triangle to check the dive menu. This pauses the game as well, so
you will not lose any air or stamina while checking things.
o------------------o
| Sack |
| Sonar |
| Map | You can change the settings to suit.
| Quest Items | Anything you pick up will be visible in the sack.
| Settings |
| Surface |
o------------------o
4. If you need to go back to the docks, just select SURFACE!!!
5. Now to check out the sonar Press L1 and a green icon will appear showing a
nearby item. You will hear the sonar sound, and so keep moving north. The
sound will get faster and the intervals shorter so keep pressing X and soon
enough you will pick up: "DIRTY SHOES"
6. You then have the option to pick them up or leave them. You will get some
more information at the bottom of the screen, which will tell you the
weight: 180g, but all the other fields will show ????? since you have to
get items appraised to discover their value.
7. Keep heading north and you may find another item: WOOD STICK
8. Now another Wood Stick, only this one says: Too heavy! in red lettering.
It's weight is 300g. If you also see two red blobs flashing in the top
bar, this is not a good sign. However you can manage the extra weight for
a short time, though it will decrease your stamina and air quickly.
9. Once your air and stamina are getting low and if the ocean turns red
the best thing to do then, is to surface. You don't have to swim back to
the start of the dive.
After this fist dive I had Dirty Shoes 1, Wood Stick 1, Wood Stick 2.
ooooooooo
Appraisal
ooooooooo
Now you have the option to keep any recovery items in the sack (good idea!),
and the rest, move to your inventory. Now consider this. Think of all those
RPGs where you carry around tons and tons of items and heavy equipment with not
a backpack or even a pocket in sight. Here you are facing reality. EVERYTHING
has a weight, and you are restricted as to how much you can physically manage
to carry. However, this ONLY applies to underwater. When you are on shore
you can have as many items as you like in your inventory. (I imagined Marco
and Leo's apartment stuffed to the gills with loot!)
Then you will get a diving report, indicating:
o----------------------o
| Maximum Depth 21m |
| |
| Diving Time: 2 min. |
o----------------------o
When you get back this first time, Marco will have found a Hotel Register,
which he gives to you. (Actually this is random.) He tells you to go to
Fedelico's Appraisals at the town centre to get everything appraised.
Do this now.
Select "Appraise" and then the cursor will show on the first item. The amount
shown is how much each appraisal costs. Yep. You didn't really expect that
this would be a free service?!? Then he will tell you what is what. For
example:
Wood Stick was a Boomerang,
2 Wood Sticks were Charcoal (since there were two, you only have to pay once.)
Dirty Shoes were Wooden Shoes.
Once everything has been appraised there will be no items left on the screen,
and you can now select "Sort".
o---------------------------------------------------------------o
| Appraise Open Locks SORT | Appraisals |
|---------------------------------------------------------------|
| | |
| Normal Sorting | Hotel Register 1 |
| By Sale Price | Charcoal 2 |
| By (underwater) weight | Wooden Shoes 1 |
| By number held | Boomerang 1 |
| | |
| | Cash 5000g |
|---------------------------------------------------------------|
| (This screen explains the meaning of the options ) |
| |
o---------------------------------------------------------------o
Select different ways of sorting and look at the right hand part of the window
to see the items arranged in different order.
oooooooooooooooooo
Buying And Selling
oooooooooooooooooo
Speak to Ursula and you can sell the things you found, although at this point
in the game Ursula will have nothing that you can buy. Keep selling items to
Ursula whenever you have some to spare and eventually she will reward you with
her coin.
You will get a full description of every item when you sell it. You can see
this information and choose to keep the item if you want. To sell
something, use the directional buttons to indicate how many you want to sell,
and the till will ring, and the item disappears from your list.
Sell Boomerang for 2850 G, Charcoal for 800 G each and Wooden Shoes for 1380.
Check the "Hotel Register" or any "Book" type item, by going to your inventory
and selecting to read it. You can sell this item as well. (I know, odd that
someone would pay quite that much for such things, but you need the cash.)
At this point you can sell most of what you have found, although once you get
access to the wrecks it is best to keep things until you have checked if they
might be of use to someone, although if you have more than one of an item it
is usually safe to sell it.
ooooooooooooooooooooo
Recovering And Saving
ooooooooooooooooooooo
Now go to the inn to recover. It costs 60G. and will replenish air and
stamina, no matter how much air you have used, or how low your stamina. Save
your game before the next dive. If you don't have any cash then you can agree
to wash dishes and stay for free. (Don't worry, you don't actually have to do
anything at all.)
ooooooooooooo
Diving Again!
ooooooooooooo
Now all there is to do is to go back in the water.
1. This time, select MAP and Look, to see your precise location.
It is Offshore Area, Depth 4 metres
2. Swim west and you will find a wooden structure in the sand. Hunt around
here to find a few things.
3. If you find something you have already had appraised, it will show what it
is immediately. I picked up the boomerang at the south side of the area,
at 2m depth.
4. Go further past this structure to where there is a walled area, and check
your map again. You will be getting in deeper water. Eventually when the
red colour starts to appear, re-surface.
5. This time the dive was for 3 minutes and 25 Metres.
Marco will have also found something: this was Work Gloves and Hotel
Register in my game but it might also be Sailor's Cap or Cowboy Hat. It is
random, so just accept whatever he gives you.
Marco will tell you about Luca's Treasure and how Cao was hired to find it.
Speak to Marco again and he will direct you to Vanessa Street west of the
fountain. First sell off the items, and rest at the inn. Then follow the
arrow pointing left past the inn to the square.
There are various people, an old man, jogger, child who are on a perpetual loop
passing through the fountain area. You can talk to Isabella and Tina at the
cafe and Porco at the fruit and veg stall. Paggio, the tall man with a yellow
hat, will tell you that there is another town called Chentro Town but that the
road is closed. Check the orange doorway in front of Paggio for information
about local events if you want.
Continue left to find a small alley. Maria will tell you something about Luca,
and that you can buy his things from the shop. Martino is the photographer.
You can also speak to Erio on the first floor by just clicking on him with the
cursor. The Photo Studio is the large brown door, but it is closed for now.
Return to Ursula and buy Luca's Letters for 700G. Then click the inventory and
Use to read the letters: you can do this for any book or letters you find.
Luca's letters inform you that there is a chest due West of the harbour.
Return to the docks and speak to Marco, and then start your third dive.
oooooooooo
Third Dive
oooooooooo
Location: West, next to the rock, and 17-18 metres down.
1. Change your direction using the right stick so that you are facing west.
This will mean that the red N arrow of the compass will be pointing right.
Then swim in this direction. Keep an eye on the map and the depth, to find
the right spot.
2. If you check the map you should see a red flag marking the start point and
an orange Leo heading west from this. The map will also tell you the
depth.
3. If you don't find anything at first, wait until your stamina is fairly
low, at around 100, and re-surface and with a bit of luck you may find that
your Stamina has increased despite not getting any results, and Marco will
have found some more items for you to sell.
4. You will cross some seaweed and green plants if you are going in the right
direction and the water will start to get deeper. Start using the sonar.
5. There will be some small rocks and then a larger rock is visible slightly
north west. The chest is found when you reach the spot at the top of the
large rock. Weight 450 g. Pick it up and you will get a bit of victory
music. You can continue to search if you want, or head back to town.
6. This time the dive was for 4 minutes and 24 Metres. Marco will have also
found something: Manheling, Cowboy Hat in my game.
oooooooooooooo
After the Dive
oooooooooooooo
Don't bother to stay at the inn this time (you'll get a free stay if you follow
the story), but take all these items to be appraised. Select "Open Locks" and
pay 600G to have the chest unlocked. It contains: Mega-ade 300 x1 and Knitted
Scarf x1.
Don't sell the items. (If you sell Luca's letters Marco will tell you to buy
them back.) The Mega-ade is a recovery item for stamina so put this in your
sack. Go and speak to Maria with the letters and scarf in your inventory and
in return for the scarf she will give you Maria's Ring.
Then she explains about the "trust coins" These are given to to people as a
token of trust or thanks. You already have a coin from Marco, your best
friend, and now you will receive a second one from Maria. You can see the
list of coins under the menu heading "Titles."
Return to the docks and tell the truth. You then have the option of giving the
ring to Marco. Now, I don't exactly know what the effects of this gift might
be, in the long run, but he thanks you and says he will display it in your
shared apartment. I take the view that since the game is partly about getting
rewards from people that you help, it must make sense to select the "be nice to
people" option whenever there is a chance. In fact, you get the Ring back
eventually. After this chat, you will automatically sleep and recover. Follow
the instructions to go to the docks to check up on Marco and Cao.
You now get your next dive goal: the ferry Viola. Speak to Cao and accept his
challenge. You have to bring back the most valuable item from the ship.
He will give you "Ducky Feet." These are diver's fins, so first equip them
using the "Gear" command from the menu, and then talk to Marco for the
location of the Viola, and he will give you the Viola Map.
oooooooooooooo
First Attempts
oooooooooooooo
You will fail at first, but you must undertake a couple of dives before you
can get the information and help you need. This is useful, since you can
increase your stamina and find some items to sell. You can find the Viola by
heading North and then slightly East, but you will not be permitted to enter
without a better suit.
1. You must head due north from Daedalus Island. Make sure the red pointer
is facing N and swim with the rock wall to the right.
You can use the sonar and might find Wooden Shoes depth 22m
2. Stay in the water until your stamina in under 100 and for around 4 minutes
and your stamina will increase again, this time to 1100! Marco gave Leo
Mandheling.
3. Try again. You will have to go through some deep water. Head slightly to
the west of north and the water starts to get shallower again...19 m.
Marco gave Leo Panama Hat.
Hmm. After a couple of tries I spoke to Dino on the boat at the docks and he
said you need a better suit. There will also be another guy at the docks who
won't say anything just yet.
ooooooooooooooooooooooo
Preparing for the Viola
ooooooooooooooooooooooo
So go back to town and to the fountain area. There will be a guy at the
fountain. Speak to Al and you can buy some equipment from him.
Light Suit 4800G
Air Tank 80 6100G
Ducky Feet 1000G
Small Sack 8000G
This is why it is helpful to have had a few dives by this time so you have
enough cash to buy everything. Speak to the girl, Sophia, sitting on a box at
the edge of the square. Answer truthfully and she will give you the Clay
Element to give to Cao. She also has a shop where you can buy more Mega-ade
items.
Mega-ade 300 800G
Mega-Ade 500 1500G
Then speak to Porco the fruit seller and he will tell you how to find the
Viola.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Porco's Directions to the Viola
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
o Small reef: heading north west from the island. (A reef is just some rocks.)
There's a clay plate buried near there to help divers find it.
o Use a clay element on the sonar to help locate it.
o Then once at the rocky reef, head north west. There are rocks that lead you
north east and another clay pipe to help you.
o There are four rocks that act as way points, and then the Viola!
Check with him again and he will repeat the directions and give you information
about the sonar elements.
ooooooooooooooooooooooo
'Beginning Photography'
ooooooooooooooooooooooo
Go left to Vanessa Street and speak to the Martino who will give you an
underwater camera and photo album. Check out the note on the wall next to
the large dark brown door and you will get instructions on using the camera.
o Taking Photos
Press R2 lightly and move the finder to the subject and then press R2 again
firmly. While the finder is on screen you can also see the number of photos
you can take. To be able to take more, get your photos developed at the
photo studio.
o The Photo Studio
Develop your photos, and select the ones you want to keep in the album. It
costs 100G to develop your snaps, no matter how many you've taken.
o Your Album
You can edit the album using the "Album" menu. Choose "Exchange" in the Album
menu to look at and move pictures in the album. You can also add comments to
the photos and delete any you don't want to keep.
oooooooooooooooooooooooo
Cappochio: Alcohol Quest
oooooooooooooooooooooooo
Talk to Cappochio who is sitting and drinking at the end of the street. Listen
to him, and agree to bring him any alcohol you find. Speak to him again to
find out more about the alcohol, and he will tell you the kinds of drinks he
wants. Give him one of anything alcoholic you find, though he doesn't take
multiples. If you return and talk to him again after giving him a few bottles
he will tell you what drinks he still wants.
Maria will mention that there is a strange object on the Viola that that was to
be auctioned.
ooooooooooooooooooooooo
Finding The Ferry Viola
ooooooooooooooooooooooo
1. Put your heading so the red arrow is slightly to the right of the top and
you will come to some rocks at a depth of about 15m. Make sure the clay
element is equipped to your sonar. You can do this in the water.
2. At a depth of 15m you will find the Clay Plate. Keep heading north west
and there is another clay plate at a bunch of rocks at depth 16m. There
is yet another at 15m heading to the north east. The red pointer should
be to the left of the top of the dial. You will still be in water that is
around 16m depth and follow the rocks finding more metal plates as you go.
3. If you find yourself losing sight of the rocks, or getting too deep, where
there are lots of dolphins, then turn back.
4. In fact the ship is due north of the start point, but just follow the
directions you were given to have the best chance of finding it easily.
5. Once you have found it you can enter or not. If you have some air and
stamina left, then go inside and use your flashlight to go to the end of
the first corridor. Shine the light and hold it steady on the book, which
will appear with a light shining around it, and press X to pick up the book
Diving Life.
6. Be warned: you cannot surface inside a wreck, so need to leave if your air
is running low. Turn around and return to the other end of the corridor
and there is a black space on the right where you entered. Head into this
and you have the option to go outside, or go to the surface.
7. After this dive: Maximum Depth 42m, Diving Time: 11 min. Marco had Work
Gloves, Darjeeling, Hotel Register.
8. After the dive get the info from the book, and chat, and sell off excess
things. Rest and save. Read the information in the Books for extra ideas
about where to dive and hints about the story.
Diving Life: Daedalus Island Top Diving Spots
Red Rock Reef: Due west. Depth 17m. A beautiful reef surrounds a giant red
rock
Fan Rock East, Depth 25m. Currents around a U-shaped reef collect items
dropped in the ocean.
Carlo's Reef: Southesat: Depth 18m. Large schools of fish and discarded steel
parts.
ooooooooooo
Photo Album
ooooooooooo
Talk to people again and Gallo, who is sitting on the table, will tell you
about titles. He will give you new titles throughout the game if you keep
talking to him and accomplishing new feats of diving and collecting.
Carlo will tell you that one day he might give you the location of his
favourite fishing reef. Get the film developed. Be careful on the photo
screen as if you leave before selecting the photos you want keep they will be
lost forever. You can have 20 in the album. Select Keep and then you can
check all the photos individually to decide which ones you want to keep.
Click on a photo and a red book will show. In fact it is just as easy to
select them all and then delete them directly from the album.
ooooooooooooooooooooooo
Going Back to The Viola
ooooooooooooooooooooooo
I don't know why, but this time it was much easier to find. Head more or less
north and slightly east, and you will pick up more sonar sound from the rocks
on the way. Check the world map to verify your position and on the way take a
few pictures.
oooooooooooooooo
INSIDE THE VIOLA
oooooooooooooooo
You can take pictures of the fish inside the wreck if you like.
Here is a diagram of the ship which I hope will help. As you can see, there
is not much to it although in the dark it can be a little disorientating.
1. Look at your Viola map and you can see the exit marked in blue and your
current position showing as a flashing yellow light. You are on level 1.
2. Go down the corridor and highlight the doorway on your right. Click on it
to open it and go through. There is a map on the left wall you can take.
3. At the end of the corridor there are openings to the left and right. Go
left and through another door into a cabin. Pick up the book on the floor
and the Mega-ade 300. Highlight the large map on the wall and get this too.
There is a Pretty Bottle on the floor. Get this and now turn to look at
the right side of the couch and pick up Travel Case. There is a book
hidden on the bottom shelf of the central low table.
4. Exit the room, and as you go down the short passage you will see another
bottle on the floor. I used a Mega-ade bottle to boost my Stamina and
picked this up too: Pretty Bottle.
5. By this time your sack is likely to be full, or overfull. You can still
continue to explore for a little while if you want, but of course the
drawback is that the more you find and pick up, the heavier the sack will
be and the faster your stamina will deplete.
6. If you want to chance it, go through the other doorway and then pick up the
bottle on the floor ahead of you. This is Cloudy Bottle. The left hand
room has more bottles on a high shelf on the left wall.
7. By this time my stamina was starting to decrease rather too quickly and the
sack weighed over 2000g, so I decided to call it a day.
8. Check the map and leave it be for a few seconds and it will show your
route. It will show the route you took from the point of entry, and your
current position. Exit by leaving this room and going right and then left
and then back through the dark opening in the side of the ferry.
9. After this trip, even though I was only out for 6 minutes, my Stamina
increased from 1100> 1500. This is what you want! Marco gave Leo
Manhedling and Cowboy Hat.
oooooooooooooo
After the Dive
oooooooooooooo
First get the stuff appraised.
I had 2 Pretty Bottle, Ferry Fan, Cloudy Bottle and another Pretty Bottle,
Travel Case and Dirty Map, as well the stuff from Marco. One Pretty Bottle
was Dry Gin, the Dirty Map is Mediterranean Map. The 2 other Pretty Bottles
were both Mega-ade (expired), and the Cloudy Bottle is Pilsner.
Get the lock opened, and you will find a Guide to Daedalus x1, Paperback Book
x1, Mega-ade 500 x1, in the Travel Case.
Talk to Gallo to be congratulated on finding the ferry and the items, and he
will give you your first title: Seeker. Talk to him when you have dived up to
40m, and you will get another title: Explorer of Shallows.
Give the beer and gin to Cappochio and wait for his comment. You can see the
drinks items on the inventory.
Paggio will tell you that construction has started on the road.
ooooooooooooooooooo
Searching the Viola
ooooooooooooooooooo
Now all you have to do is keep going back to the Viola and salvage everything
that you can carry. This may take a few trips, and by the end of it you will
have enough money for new equipment and your stamina will have increased again.
Also take some more pictures until you get a good set of fish to show to
Martino, and you will be able to receive his coin.
Most items will be repeats of what you already found, but make sure you search
the second room on the left in the corridor and find the Red Shiny Stone. This
is easily visible at the far side of the room. There is also "Catalog of
Alcohol" on a high shelf, Green Stone on the table, and s on the floor
on the far side of the desk. Pick up the Ferry Lamp from the floor. (After
appraisal Massino will give you 100g for showing him this item!)
ooooooooooooooo
After the Dives
ooooooooooooooo
Marco found Darjeeling and Cowboy Hat. Once you find the red stone Marco will
be impressed and you receive a new title: Bronze Diver. The RED STONE is a
quest item.
You will not have to pay to rest if you successfully complete a mission.
Visit the Appraisal guy and he will hang on to the Red Stone to research it.
One Cloudy Bottle is stout and another Weizen. Dirty Map (taken from the wall
of the corridor) is Nautical Map. Inside the Work Trunk is a Black Umbrella
x1, Saga of the Dragon x1, and Small Coin x1. Appraise the Black Umbrella:
it is a Parasol.
If you return, most of the items you can get will be the same as before,
except for the locked cases and the Red Stone.
oooooooooooooooooooooooooo
New Information and People
oooooooooooooooooooooooooo
MASSIMO
There is a man in a white shirt called Massimo. He is interested in any heavy
items you find. They must have been appraised. Check the rankings and he will
show you a list of three things: a pickaxe, Tsubame-gaeshi and work gloves are
all are listed by weight ranking. Give him something heavy and he gives you a
cash reward.
MARTINO'S COIN
Show a photo from inside the Viola to photo the guy and he will ask you to show
him more photos. You will receive Martino's Coin. Choose to show him your
album and he will then give it a name. He will also name each photo. If you
fill the photo album, and show it to Martino you will get a new title:
Photographer. (I had one bad pic of a fish inside the Viola in the album and
thought I'd give this a shot...He named it "Photographic Monstrosity"!)
CAPPOCHIO
Visit Cappochio and although he really wants wine and spirits, I gave him a
beer, but eventually you will want to give him a lot more alcohol so anything
you give him now is not wasted.
AL AND MARCO
Al will tell you there is a diving shop in Chentro Town. Marco will be sitting
with Isabella at the cafe, and Tina will want you to comment on Marco.
FAN ROCK INFORMATION
Speak to Marcello and Carlo for information about Fan Rock which is due east
of the town. This is a place for seeing fish and picking up items and your
next destination.
After you have done everything you want to do, the next task is to get hold of
a bigger boat and a new captain, and this means completing a task for Zuccho,
the silent man at the docks.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Zuccho's Coin and Metal Element
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
To progress now, speak to Dino at the docks and he will introduce you to his
friend (the silent guy) who has a larger boat. Speak to Zuccho and ask about
the boat. Keep talking to him whatever he says and he will tell you about a
120 Grana coin he dropped from his boat. He will give you the Metal Element
for the sonar, so equip this and then you can dive by talking to him.
Since it is impossible to know where to look, just take a dive, and on your
return speak to Dino to get more information. The location is Fan Rock, due
East of the island. Go along the coast to the east of town, following the
rocks
1. From the start turn around and head east. Fan Rock is marked on the map so
keep checking that you are heading in the right direction. The red mark
should be in the middle of the left side of the dial.
2. You will eventually see some seaweed and a large rock will face you. This
is Fan Rock. Swim around it using the sonar first making sure you have the
Metal sonar equipped. (You can equip sonar when you are in the water.)
3. You will be able to go between two huge rocks and then when you leave this
part the sonar will start to sound. Continue north along some small rocks
and broken wood debris to find the coin.
4. You are at the centre of a circle of rock walls. There is nothing else to
find here right now, so either swim around for a bit and take some photos,
or return to the town.
5. Zuccho will take the coin and promise to take you out on his boat.

oooooooooooooo
After the Dive
oooooooooooooo
Buy the item Buffout for 16000G from Ursula when you have the cash. Check at
the inn and they will tell you to talk to Marco about going out on Dino's boat
with Zuccho. (Whichever option you select to tell him, the result appears to
be the same.)
That night Marco gives you Maria's Ring, and the next day you should speak to
Isabella who is still sitting outside the cafe. Again there seems to be no
difference in her response to either choice of comment. After these events
Zuccho is now your new partner, and Marco won't be seen again for some time, in
fact he no longer has a role in the game.
oooooooooooooooooo
Diving with Zuccho
oooooooooooooooooo
First of all speak to Zuccho and he will give you a Wetsuit and an Air Tank
100. Equip these, and the Buffout. This should bring your Stamina up to 2250,
and Air to 200. Now you are ready for deeper waters.
WARNING DO NOT SELL THIS WETSUIT!!! You need it for Cao's race.
Dino explains that you can now select a location and the boat will take you
there, and so you can start your dive from the boat. This only works for
charted waters and if you want to go into uncharted areas you must swim,
although the boat will take you to the edge, and when you decide to surface you
don't have to swim back to the boat, since you will automatically be back at
the docks.
When you are ready to dive, the world map will appear with a red pointer.
Select your location and dive! You can go anywhere you like, but this is just
a suggestion.
Try the reef due south first. At 37m to the south of here I found Fishing Lure
using wood and metal sonar, and Iron Plate at depth 33m. Gold Sand at 29m
depth heading east along the southern edge of the reef. Another Iron Plate at
depth 44m. Gold Hook at 23m depth, Screw at 27m Depth. When you surface you
will be back at the dock.
ooooooooooooooo
After the Dives
ooooooooooooooo
Visit Federico for the usual appraisal. Gold Sand will cost 2000G to be told
it is Gold Dust. You can show the Iron Plate to Massimo for a 50G reward.
Federico will also tell you that he doesn't know anything about the rock you
left with him. Dr. Roberto in Chentro Town might know, and now the
construction of the road is finished, so you have access to the new town. You
will get the Red Shiny Stone back. (If he doesn't say anything about this, I
found that if I went back to the docks and then revisited him he initiated this
conversation.) You need to have this information before Paggio will ask you
about the scrap metal.
ooooooooooo
Scrap Metal
ooooooooooo
Talk to Paggio in the town square and he will tell you that they usually throw
their scrap metal into the reef to the south east. You have the option to take
the scrap for him or not. Of course say you'll help out!. You receive IRON
SCRAP. He also gives you a Seawalkers. Speak to him again and he tells you to
talk to Carlo the fisherman.
Speak to Carlo and give him the Lure you found. You get Carlo's Coin!
He will tell you to go to a place called "Reef Hill" to the south east, and
look on the map for a place that is 18m deep, and then search for the Sunken
Bus. This is that reef you have just been to.
Before leaving equip the Seawalkers fins, and and make sure you have rested at
the Inn, and saved your progress.
1. Locate a point in the centre of the reef where the depth is 20m or less.
2. Go there in the boat and then search for the Sunken Bus! You should find it
fairly quickly using the Metal Sonar. It is situated in the sand at
precisely 19m Depth.
3. Swim up to it and click X and a message will appear. Click again and
choose to bury the iron. You will then get another message to say that the
bus has become a reef and there are metal plates scattered around.
4. You can take a picture of the bus and search around for a few more things.
There is a wooden chest nearby at 24m Depth, so try to find this.
There is also Old Jewel Box at 31m Depth slightly to the Southwest of the
Bus. (You can also find Gold Sand, and Corsican Pipe around this area.)
5. When you have had enough, return to town. At the end of this dive my sack
was filled to bursting at a whopping 4606g. With around 7 minutes diving
time the maximum stamina increased from 2250 to 3000.
oooooooooooooo
After the Dive
oooooooooooooo
Cao will offer you a chance to compete in a scuba race. You can't beat him
yet, but you can have a go if you like, just to see what it involves. Speak
to him again if you want to test your skills.
Get the chests unlocked and decide what to sell. After selling some more
stuff to Ursula you will get her coin: I am not sure exactly how many things
you have to sell, but after a few dives and selling off most of the spare
things to her, it should be around this point in the game.
Now you have a lucky coin you can toss it in the fountain. A message says:
You feel luckier! Old Jewel Box...show the Beryl Knife to Massimo to add to
his list of weighty items.
ooooooooooooo
Paggio's Coin
ooooooooooooo
Now go and speak to Paggio and get his Coin and you can get to Chentro Town by
following the arrow behind him. This is a surprise...not at all what you
might expect.
Now that the road to Chentro Town is open, you should go there. If you have
just completed a dive, don't rest until you have spoken to Dr. Roberto. This
is a minor detail, but it will save you 60G.
ooooooooooooooooo
People and Places
ooooooooooooooooo
Andrei: Antiques trader. Listen to him. He will open a museum.
He is interested in: carvings, ceramics, clocks, pictures,
arms, treasures.
Terera Algheri: Wife of famous archaeologist. Has Juno key.
Dr. Roberto: Mineralogist. Hand over the Red Stone and report to him the
next day.
Messina: Cao's friend from the astronomy club. Interested in maps and
navigation.
Auction Rooms: Sells various items. You cannot get inside here yet.
Marine Shop: Upgrade equipment here for the race against Cao.
Pazzolini: Collects furniture
Jio: Doorman to Auction Rooms
ooooooooooo
Dr. Roberto
ooooooooooo
Give the Red Stone to Dr Roberto. You can't go diving at this point, as Zuccho
will just tell you sort out the Red Stone. Dr. Roberto is the man in a suit
with a briefcase. He tells you to return tomorrow.
You can't get inside the auction house with your diving equipment, and after
chatting to the other people the best thing is to buy a better sack from the
marine chop and then rest at the Inn.
There will be a letter from Marco in the morning. Go and see Isabella and
tell her everything... You can comfort her first if you like.
The next day go and find Dr Roberto again. You discover that the stone is "Red
Chalkeia" (whatever that is...) Anyway you are soon told how important it is
and that a certain Dr. Bello had found some and then was in a ship wreck, 60
years ago. Now you get the news you've been waiting for: there is a new wreck
to explore, the Juno!
Talk to Captain Marcello, and then to Cao, but you won't get any information
from him until you beat him in the race.
oooooooooooooooooooooo
Buy the Best Equipment
oooooooooooooooooooooo
For the time being you can go and search the rest of the reefs and earn some
cash so you can buy the best equipment to help in the race, though in fact the
only item you need to purchase is the Speed Fins.
Drysuit 1800G
Tri-mix 80 22000G
Speed Fins 9500G
Large Sack 1200g
ooooooooooo
More Diving
ooooooooooo
Try going to the very edge of the charted waters just near the bumpy bit
underneath the compass on the right and at a depth of 100m: just where the two
areas meet on the map you can find a Wooden Chest. You will only be able to
stay out for a couple of minutes, before the red signs warn you to quit. Make
it to 120m or thereabouts and you will get another title from Gallo. Take some
photos there too. Do a few more deep and long dives to increase stamina again
from 3000-4500!
oooooooooo
More Coins
oooooooooo
MASSIMO'S COIN
Revisit the Ferry Viola with a better sack and higher Stamina and you can pick
up heavy furniture like the desk, television and chair. Get the chair and
have it appraised and show it to Massimo. It weighs 3000g and he will give you
his coin as a reward.
TINA'S COIN
If you have "Piece of Wood" you can give it to Tina at the cafe, and you will
get her coin.
PAZZOLINI'S COIN
He will appear to the left of the Auction Rooms at some point after you start
visiting the Juno, and what better way to offload some of the furniture! He
wants a cabinet, a desk, a chair, a bed and a light. Select to give him
furniture and you will be shown a list of the relevant items. At this point in
the game you won't be able to lift a bed, so you can't fulfil his quest just
yet, but when you do, you will receive his coin.
oooooooooooooooooo
GOLD STONE: Pyrite
oooooooooooooooooo
After reaching Chentro Town you can buy the Large Sack and with this return to
the Viola to pick up heavier items that you could not highlight before. This
includes the Gold Stone in the first cabin on the right inside the Viola: you
need this item for the next quest to get the Juno Key, so make sure to have it
appraised as "Pyrite".
ooooooooooooooo
Cao's Challenge
ooooooooooooooo
Now, the real reason for winning this race is so that Captain Marcello will
tell you the location of the Juno: he wants to know that you are a skilled
diver, and this is how you can prove it! This race is the "deal breaker" of
Everblue, and if you can't beat Cao, you can't find out the location of the
Juno... However, the truth is that you CAN continue with the game even if you
fail to beat Cao. All you need to do is find the Juno and then things will
carry on as if you had been told by Marcello. Even after exploring the Juno,
you can still attempt to beat Cao, although after you have access to much
better equipment this initial race will no longer be available, and Cao will
challenge you to an even tougher race. There is a third race as well, where
the time to beat is 32 seconds. Fortunately finding new wrecks is not dependent
on beating Cao in these harder races.
SUMMARY: TO WIN THE RACE
o-----------------------------------------o
| Buy the Speed Fins in Chentro. |
| Wear the Wetsuit that Zuccho gave you. |
o-----------------------------------------o
This first becomes available when you return from the Sunken Bus.
Your Goal is to beat Cao's time of 1'22"36 seconds and then you will be told
the location of the Juno shipwreck. It is very hard to do.
Since I started writing this FAQ I thought I had better take a look on other
web-sites to see if there was anything else available about the game. There
wasn't of course, except the one thing that does exist is a so-called "cheat"
It made me laugh.
ooooooooooooo
Defeating Cao
ooooooooooooo
This is the "cheat" for Cao's race which appears on many different websites:
"Get a perfect run to beat his time. This requires very good use of the
controls, especially the Left Analog-stick, to complete the course without
hitting any obstacles."
Well, duh!
ooooooooooooo
First Attempt
ooooooooooooo
Check the records to see the time and equipment he used and the score you have
to beat. You won't manage to do so with your current equipment, but you can
have a go. Just follow the course and use the searchlight to guide you up over
boxes and around corners. You can try this but I doubt you will manage anywhere
near Cao's time with the current equipment. He will tell you as much too. You
need speed fins!
In fact you may notice that the key to the manoeuvering is not just the left
stick, but the right as well. It is by using the searchlight that you can
move up over boxes, and swing around corners.
His time is hard to beat, but by getting used to the course, and knowing where
the obstacles are, you stand a better chance, once you get the speed fins. In
fact, you CANNOT beat his time without the fins so don't even bother about the
speed for now. Just learn the course. Sorry, but there is no short-cut to
success.
In fact, I had considered mapping it out, but I don't think there is much
point to that, since you can hardly look at a map while playing the game and
concentrating on a speed run. I find that the main thing is to try and
remember the two places where the boxes block your path and you have to go up
and over them. Oh, and ignore the fish.
oooooooooooooo
Second Attempt
oooooooooooooo
Try it out with the speed fins bought in Chentro Town and you might do it. I
got 1'29'90 at my first attempt. Next I thought I would try with the same
equipment as Cao, once I have enough cash to buy it all. However, this is a
mistake. Sneaky Cao does not want you to beat him, so he wore a drysuit.
DON'T do this, as it is virtually impossible to get a better time.
I only discovered this fact thanks to cade, a fellow diver.
ooooooooooooooooooo
Diver to the Rescue
ooooooooooooooooooo
I have to admit that, despite many many attempts, I failed to beat Cao's time
and had just about given up any hope of continuing with the game, and then a
fellow diver came to the rescue. Many many thanks to cade who responded to
my cries for help on the GameFAQs Everblue message board. Cade told me the
precise location of the Juno after beating Cao. I then followed these
directions and found the ship, and the game allowed me into the wreck and
continued from that point, despite the fact that I had not won the race
against Cao.
I also learned from cade, that the ONLY way to beat Cao is to wear the Wetsuit,
and NOT the apparently better Drysuit. I had sold the Wetsuit by this point in
the game and so had to replay to test this out. In fact my current time is
1.22.38", using the Wetsuit, so just a couple more seconds to get the win!
So, you have a choice. Attempt to beat Cao using the Wetsuit and Speed Fins.
If you manage this, great! If not, then you can still continue with the game
and get inside the Juno, except that you will have to follow my directions,
rather than the Captain's. (Which are all credit to cade who told me exactly
where to find the Juno.)
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Directions for the Scuba Race
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
The first turn is to the right. Keep heading right to get past the obstacle
and then, veer left for the next one. The second turn is to the right and
immediately after that is the hardest bit: going up to get over the two sofas.
The best way to do this successfully is to go up high before turning the corner
so you are already at the right height to clear this. If you hit something,
just start again. The next turn is to the left. Stay left to go under the
obstacle and then veer right for the next one which is also at a height, where
a box blocks the way. Then, veer slightly left and down for the next obstacle.
After that, veer right to get past the next obstacle and stay on this course
for the next one. Then head left slightly for the next obstacle and this is
followed by a right turn. You can pass the next obstacle to the left or right,
but it's best to keep to the right. Keep going past the next one and then
there is another right turn, after which it is straight ahead to the end. But
keep high because the side tables make the path narrower at the floor.

This is a long section because the Juno is a HUGE ship and there's a lot to do
and to find. Take it slowly, searching the rooms bit by bit and remember that
nearly all items will be replenished for your next visit so you cannot miss
anything.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
i. Directions for the Juno
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
All credit to cade.
The Juno is directly east of the location of the Sunken Bus, in water 80m deep.
(To point your compass east, the red arrow should be pointing left.)
There are lots of large broken metal plates on the sea-bed, and in fact they
make a wide, grey coloured path that leads to the ship. Find some of these
flat areas and follow them until you reach the end where the Juno is located.
Actually the ship is so large that it can be found at 73m as well, and the
metal plate path goes all the way around it.
Once you have found the shipwreck you can return there directly by selecting
the location from the world map using the pin point cursor.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
ii. The Key to the Juno
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Enter the Juno and swim forwards through the open doorway. You will see a
metal grid blocking a lift to your left and at the end of a short corridor
there are large double doors which are locked. To get the key for these doors
you must:
o------------------------------------------------------------o
| Find the "Dirty Cap" in the Juno |
| Find the "Gold Stone" in the Viola |
| Appraise both to get: Bello's Hat and Pyrite |
| Give Bello's Hat to Teresa to get: Juno Map and Broken Key |
| Give Broken Key and Pyrite to Gorto (Synthesis Shop) |
| He mends the key and you get to the Juno Key |
o------------------------------------------------------------o

Key Item: Dirty Cap (Bello's Hat)
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Speak to Dr. Roberto who tells you to talk to Captain Marcello. He will tell
you to talk to Teresa, so trek back to Chentro and do just that. Teresa will
reveal that she has the Key to the Juno. However, before she will give up the
key, Teresa wants you to find her dead husband's hat which is in the Mezzanine
area of the ship. In fact this is the only floor that you can explore for now.
1. Dive to the Juno and from the entrance go forwards to the locked metal
grill.
2. Turn down the wide corridor and follow it around until you reach an open
door. This area is arranged in a square so, just keep going around and you
will end up back where you started.
3. There should be a red canister on the floor as a way mark. You are more
likely to run out of air before anything else.
4. When you find the open doorway go inside and there is a hat on the floor.
Pick this up, and the nice music will play to tell you this is what you
came for. It is called DIRTY CAP.
5. You can pick up other items if you want to, but before getting the map, you
might end up running low on air, so for now, maybe just head back out of
the ship.
oooooooooooooo
AFTER THE DIVE
oooooooooooooo
Get the Cap appraised when you return to town, and it is BELLO'S HAT. Take it
back to Teresa and receive JUNO MAP and BROKEN KEY. She also asks you to give
her anything else you find that might be her husband's. Speak to her again and
she tells you that Mr. Gorto may be able to mend the broken key. At last, a
new shop!
Return to Town Edge and Gorto will be at his shop behind the green door. If
you have Pyrite in your inventory he will mend the key using that, and you get
JUNO KEY! Now Gorto's Synthetics is open for business and you can begin
synthesising
Speak to Teresa again and she will give you a hint of where to look for the
things that belonged to her husband.
o------------------------------------------------------------o
| The 2nd Class lounge. |
| He had files, and in the restaurant he sat near the deck. |
| The 1st class smoking area. |
o------------------------------------------------------------o
After getting the key you can now open the large double doors and enter the
rest of the ship, and your next task is to find all these locations and
retrieve the items for Teresa.

NOTE: this diagram is actually upside down as you enter the ship from the
upper side on the Juno ship map. However I could not make myself alter it, as
it FEELS as if you are heading up from the entrance. It will work just for
this section, but it won't match up with the subsequent diagrams. Sorry about
this. If there are lots of complaints then I will change it in response to
public demand *grins*.
Once you have the Juno key it's time to return to the Juno. You will arrive at
a doorway and simply swim down the corridors and turn left where you see the
red extinguisher on the ground. This corridor takes you past the metal grill
on your left and directly ahead is the double doors, which you can now open. If
you check your map this is Level 1 Mezzanine.
Turn left past two long wooden benches and you arrive at a left turn down some
stairs. This is to First Class and there will be another loading screen if you
go down here.

Return to the hotel and you will be given an old treasure map of the Juno!
This is named the Doctor Map and is in fact a map element which you use in the
same way as other elements on the Sonar. Equip this as it will show you the
location of a treasure on the Juno.
This time when you enter don't go through the large double doors, but instead
head right in the direction of the red cross marked on the Juno map, and enter
the first open door to the right. Here you will find the Doctor Chest. Weight
930g, a treasure chest found with the Doctor Map. There is also Voyage Journal
on the floor: Weight 50g and Sale 200G. You won't be able to carry anything
else in this room for now, but head to next room for a Clock, Weight 1800g, and
a Ship Lamp Weight 1200g. This will take you over the limit so pick it up and
then head back out of the Juno.

mezzanine entrance on the Ship Map, except at the lower area, Level Two.
You can return to the ship and enter again at the First Class Deck from the far
side of the ship in the same position as the mezzanine Deck. Follow the
corridor to the your right and you end up at the bottom side of the ship at
Second Class Deck A. (See the next map)

Speak to the inn person again and you will be told that Ursula collects map
elements and may have some for sale, though she won't have any yet. The
Captain will tell you that his grandfather was the captain of the Juno and that
he would take tea in the second class lounge. Get everything appraised and
show the heavy stuff to Massimo for extra cash rewards.
Stay in the water for 7 minutes and your stamina may increase from 4500 - 6000.
Another long dive of 7 minutes and stamina increases from 6000 - 8250, and
finally after another long dive stamina reached 9999, though I later realised
that this was with the Buffout item equipped which increases stamina by 50%!

From Deck B head left and go through the two wooden doors into a room where a
couch blocks another door. Swim over this obstacle and you gain access to a
huge area with heavy furniture. If you continue up the corridor past this room
you simply circle around and end up back on the Second Class Deck A.
This large room is the second class lounge. In here you can find the SUITCASE
Key Item for Teresa. Swim directly forwards from the doorway to the corner
where there is a bureau and you will find the Key Item ENTRANCE KEY. Use this
on the large double doors at the end of the other corridor leading up from the
Deck B, and this takes you to the Entrance area. This is a large room with a
grand staircase leading up to Level 1 and down to Level 3.
ooooooooooo
Captain Map
ooooooooooo
Enter the ship at the left hand doorway from the second class deck B and go
into the Second Class Lounge. From the blocked door head left down the wall and
the sonar will start to show green after you turn the corner, however you may
not see anything and the sonar will stop, but don't worry about this. Keep
going and looking along the floor, and there is a bureau set against the left
wall and you will see a small round jewel box in the far corner. This is
CAPTAIN JEWEL BOX. Weight 2015g
This is crucial because it gives you the item Superstring Device. You equip
this as a Miscellaneous item (remove the Buffout if necessary), and your sack's
capacity will increase, which means you can now pick up heavier objects. I had
thought I had maxed out my stamina at 9999, but I had forgotten that I had the
Buffout equipped.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
vii. Level One, Two and Three: Entrance
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
This is a large staircase in a large and mostly empty space. The stairs give
you access to all three levels, although to begin with the top Level 1 door is
locked. The easiest way to the Entrance area, is to use the Second Class Deck
B Level 2 access to the Juno, which is the place where you first found the
large double locked doors.
Go up the stairs to the top floor and the double doors are locked. You have to
find the Captain's Key (in the Restaurant). There is a Painting on the floor
where the stairs divide: "Marcello", and another on the wall: Painting: Smiling
Woman Cloudy Bottle is at the base of the stairs on Level 3: Margaux
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
viii. Level Three: Restaurant
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
From the Entrance area swim down the stairs to the lower deck, and then find
the large wooden doors in exactly the same place as they were on Level 2, and
open these. Check your Juno map to see your location as the Restaurant. Follow
the corridor heading straight forwards and then, turning right at the corner
and then, left. You will find two sets of doors that can't be opened from this
side, so swim up the corridor and through one Metal door onto the Restaurant
Deck, which is at the upper side of the ship. Swim all the way left along the
deck until you find another single Metal door. Open this and continue through
the next wooden door into the kitchen, and then left, and left again, and you
will be inside the Restaurant. Find the double doors and you can unlock them.
Exit the ship by swimming up to the deck again and through the now open metal
door. You will have to swim along the corridor before you can turn to find the
exit. Just follow the map below to help find your way around.
Return to Daedalus Island and talk to the Captain after finding the Restaurant,
and he will hint about looking in the refrigerator. After finding the Violin
speak to Captain Marcello again, and you have the option of giving him the
violin. Do so and you will receive his coin, after all you can always get
another violin since you have found a spot where they grow again and again.
(This is a good way to make cash quickly.)
Now you can enter from the Restaurant Deck. Turn right and swim through the
open door to the kitchen. Also be aware that you will only be able to pick up
the heavier items if you have the better equipment that is available. The
DrySuit Deluxe will prevent you from losing too much stamina in the deeper
water of the Level 3 area.
oooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Dirty Case and Captain Map
oooooooooooooooooooooooooo
The Dirty Case is on a table to the left of the left hand set of double doors
nearest to the deck. This is the third of Bello's items which you should take
to Teresa after having the case appraised and unlocked. Get the case opened
to find Bello's Files and give this to Teresa. Speak to her again to receive
her coin and then a gift of a map element: Captain Map, which reveals the
location of the Captain's Key found inside the Fridge
Be careful here, as it is easy to lose your bearings in the restaurant as it
is a very large room.
ooooooooooooooo
Small Jewel Box
ooooooooooooooo
Kitchen Appliances will miraculously regenerate just as everything else does,
so take as many as you like! The fridge is behind a door in the wall opposite
the entrance. There is a Small Jewel Box on one of the empty shelves to the
right. This holds an important item so take it back to have it appraised.
(Captain's Key won't be there at this stage...at least I didn't notice it the
first time in the Fridge.)

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
oooooooooooooooooooooo
Key Item: Purple Stone
oooooooooooooooooooooo
After you have obtained the Captain's Key from the fridge in the Restaurant
area you can unlock the doors on the top floor: Level 1. If you remember: you
reach here from the Second Class Deck B and go through to the Entrance area and
then up the stairs.
These doors are on the opposite side of the area from the previous double doors
as they lead to the bow of the ship, the Wheel and Captain's Room. Navigation
is easy here, as there are only two separate rooms: the Radio Room and the
Captain's Room. From the Captain's Room open the inner door into the bedroom
and here you will find the PURPLE STONE.
Leave the ship and present the stone to Dr Roberto. After a night's rest
return to him only to be informed that the stone is just glass and of no value.
You can return to the Juno for more plundering, but the helpful doctor will
tell you about another two locations and mark these on the world map, so you
might want to do some more exploring and discover these two new places.
ooooooooooooooooooo

Getting inside the Auction House
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
After finding the Suitcase and having appraised Bellos' Suit, take it to Mrs.
Teresa Algheri, and she will help you out by having a suit made. This is very
handy as it means you can finally get inside the Auction Rooms. Just do
another dive or two and revisit her to get the Tuxedo!
ooooooooooooo
Auction House
ooooooooooooo
Simply equip the Tuxedo from the inventory and even though you are still
apparently wearing your flippers you can enter. Talk to the guy outside for
information about how to enter items for the auction and make bids. Use the
cursor in the normal way to speak to the people there. They change with each
day so be sure to find out what kinds of things they are interested in buying
as well as well as selling.
PEOPLE
Carla: nobility
Montello: diving equipment
Don Seccho: never quits until he wins
Andrei: collecting antiques
Zubano: made a bundle on the stock market, will gamble big
Antonio: rich
Messina
Lida
Paulo and Anna
Auction M.C.
You can put an item in the auction. Select this option to see a list from your
inventory and a list of today's items at the auction. If you don't sell
something then an item will come up for sale that has not been identified in
the listing.
For example: 1. Cowboy Hat
2. Sneakers
3. Copper Dragon
I started with the Gold Flower Vase. This then becomes the first item on the
list, but you can decide where to place it. For example: choose 3 and your
item will be after the third item. Once you have decided you can have the
auctioneer wait or continue. Go outside and your item will be on the auction
listing with the registered buyers. This day it was Montello, Lida, Don Seccho
and Zubano. You cannot withdraw the item after submitting it, so you might as
well let the auction go ahead.
You can bid for anything, and it is especially useful to go for things you
don't already possess, and this information is shown on the screen, as is your
current cash. The bidding will start at a set amount which is a the normal
sale price of the item, and after one item you can leave if you like.
You have three choices:
Bid Make a bid
Watch Don't bid, but stay in the bidding
Give up Stop, or don't even attempt to bid and the auction will continue
until that item is sold.
The Gold Flower Vase sold for 6300G. The money will immediately go into your
cash reserves.
Now, if you want to bid you need to do so for each round that the item is
still for sale, or you may find that either there is no sale (if there are no
bids), or other people bid and buy before you can make a bid. Given that items
are sold for more than you can sell them for, the benefits of buying at
auction are hard to fathom...
However, after a while you will discover that important diving equipment is
sold here, and the best sack in the game, apart from the one you get from
Massimo. In fact, in order to receive Massimo's sack you first need to buy the
one at the auction so you can pick up and carry the very heavy objects that he
requires. Don't worry if you miss getting the stuff the first time at the
auction as the same sale is repeated every "week". Ideally you want to try and
buy the Santa's Envy Sack when Montello is NOT bidding!
Be careful when bidding because if you don't bid and opt out of the auction
items can go by unsold without anyone bidding, and you could lose your chance
to get something you really want. Make sure to save first.
These locations are revealed when you take the Purple Stone from the Captain's
Room on the Juno, to Dr. Roberto and they are marked on your map with a red
cross. You can never enter the Fighter Plane but there is a good amount of
treasure to be found on the sea bed in that area, so it is well worth visiting.
Navigating the Spada is confusing and you can only enter and exit on the upper
deck. Be warned!

You are instructed to find this first, so you might as well.
Select the edge of the charted water closest to the eastern cross, then swim to
the red cross making sure you are facing the right directions by checking with
your map. Head out from the edge of uncharted waters and you are likely to
come across a jewel box and wooden chest if you have the metal and wood
elements attached. I found an Iron Chest at 108m, Old Jewel Box 431g at 111m,
Bronze Coin at 107m, Silver Coin at 105m, Old Jewel Box at 104m just to the NW
of the cross.and another wooden chest at the same depth. There are more Old
Jewel Boxes at 104m, 105m, 107m heading to the bottom edge of the left cross.
Iron Chest 106m. (Contained: Mega-ade 1000x1, Carved Fish x1, Gold Dust x1)
Eventually you will discover a sunken plane where there are some torpedo
looking shells on the sea bed, at depth 112113m. You cannot get inside the
plane so after picking up as much stuff from the sea bed as you can, return to
base.

Cao And Robber Map
oooooooooooooooooo
You may find that Cao has disappeared from the dockside. If you haven't yet
beaten him in the first race, then you will have lost your chance. You can
report to Dr Roberto and tell him the ship isn't there and then he will advise
you to check out the next place.
Check with Ursula and she has the Robber Map for sale at 3000G

ii. Finding The Spada: Old Ship
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
This is Costello's Brigantine and once you have found it the ship will be shown
on your save screen.
This southern red cross is reached in the same way. Start out at the edge of
the uncharted water and make sure you are heading in the right direction, which
is due south. At 113m you can find a wooden chest. and then you will see some
wreckage on the sea floor if you continue to head due south from the centre of
the red cross. The ship is at the depth of 114m. You will always have to swim
to the Spada as the boat won't take you out into the uncharted water.
oooooooooooooooooooo
Navigating the Spada
oooooooooooooooooooo
You can ONLY enter and leave the ship on Level One, although there are three
separate entrances here once you have found them all. The exits are marked in
blue on the Spada ship map, and the stairs up and down are shown in turquoise.
This place is huge and more difficult to navigate than the Juno because there
are no corridors, and one deck looks very much much like another. The Upper
Deck exits are in three separate parts of the ship and do not connect with
each other directly so the primary task is to find them all, and once you have
done that you can plunder the ship at your leisure.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
iii. First Visit: Level One: FORE UPPER DECK to AFT UPPER DECK
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
The first time you enter the Spada you should aim to find your way to the
middle exit of the Upper Deck, as this will then give you better access to the
rest of the ship.
You enter near the bow of the ship on Level 1. Turn left from the entrance
point and then go through the first door on the left to pick up some useful
items: Sailor's Chair, Mug, Alt, Heavy Rum, Pilsner, Cutlass. There are more
items in the first door to the right of where you came in. The exit is the
central doorway of the three. Be careful to avoid the eel and, once you have
your bearings, head down to the Middle Deck using the central open hatch.
LEVEL TWO: MIDDLE DECK
Swim to the left moving along the centre of the ship and you will reach a long
wooden wall. (If you enter the door here you can find Large Object (1600g)
one of the key items you need later. This is the WYVERN ASTROLABE!
There are two doors to the middle cabins which you can investigate if you keep
to the right and swim down the ship heading to the left and at the upper side.
The left one has nothing, just toilets (no need to flush!), and there is a
large box, and a wardrobe in the next one. My first time here and I was
already running low on stamina and air so I retreated to the surface. (The
Large Box is Sailor's Chest which contains the STONE ELEMENT for the Sonar)
The exit is up the stairs to the Aft Upper Deck.
LEVEL ONE: AFT UPPER DECK
Swim right from the stairs and there are three cabin doors, the left one
contains a cannon and various things: Cutlass, book, mugs, and drink, and the
right one is another exit. If you have time go into the right hand cabin and
pick up the Small Object on the cabin floor. This is a key item! Nice music.
This is the MERMAID'S COMPASS. Then enter the middle of the three doors and
this is another exit. Hand the key item to Messina when you get back to town.
Now you can enter the ship from this place which makes things a little easier.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
iv. Finding the Lavender: AFT UPPER DECK VIA HOLD TO CAPTAIN'S ROOM
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Key Items: Djinn's Telescope
Dragon's Lodestone
Lavender Stone
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
This is a long swim, so don't bother to pick up anything heavy as you will
find another exit at the end of it, and this makes returning to the Spada a
lot easier. (I had only 32 Air left at the end of this, so I was glad to find
this exit!)
Follow these directions from the Aft Upper Deck to the Hold.
LEVEL THREE: LOWER DECK
From the stairs at the aft upper deck go down to the middle deck and then there
are more stairs to the lower deck, Level Three. From the stairs head right,
and enter the second cabin where you will find a small hole in the floor and a
long metal ladder which leads down to the HOLD.
THE HOLD: OPTIONAL DETOUR
You can do a slight detour for another key item if you swim all the way to the
right, wending your way through the large barrels. At this far end of the
hold there is another metal ladder leading up (to the right of two sets of
short steps, and close to the lower wall of the ship near to bow). Go
up the ladder onto another platform on this deck and swim left to find another
set of steps leading to the Lower Deck, Fore. In this small space you can find
DJINN'S TELESCOPE, which is the third of the special objects. You have to then
return to the hold and swim all the way to the far end, so if this seems too
far just leave the detour out and return to pick up this item another time.
REACHING THE CAPTAIN'S ROOM
From the hold, exit the room where you arrive and swim all the way left,
heading to the back of the ship. However, you must make sure that you are
travelling along the higher part of the hold as there are two levels to this
area. You don't want to be down in the bilge, so check your ship map to see
the description of exactly where you are. This upper part of the Hold is a
deck running all the way along both walls of the ship. Once you reach the far
end you will find a door close to the lower side of the ship. Enter here and
go through another two doors to the upper side of the ship and you will find
some steps leading up to the next level.
Take these steps and you are now in a small room on Level 3, Lower Deck, and
there is only one way to go: up some more steps. This takes you to Level Two,
Middle Deck and the First Mate's Room is through double doors with skulls on
them. You can ignore this for now and just head down the passage to the lower
side of the ship again and up some more steps.
Now you will be in the Aft Upper Deck Captain's Room and the music will start
to play. Go through the first skull door and then turn left through double
doors into the Captain's Room. The LAVENDER STONE is on the desk. If you have
time, the fourth key item: DRAGON'S LODESTONE is through the door behind the
ladder in this room. If your air is running out, then you can easily return to
pick this up, and for now just approach the ladder and you can leave the ship
safely.
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Navigator Map And Cursed Map
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
You will receive a title "Gold Diver" for this achievement from Zuccho, and Cao
had disappeared again after this, preparing for another challenge race.
Ursula will now have two new Map Elements to sell: the Navigator Map and Cursed
Map, both for 3,000 gold and these reveal new treasures on the Spada.
Speak to Dr Roberto to receive his coin and he will find out about the stone
overnight. Give the Telescope and any other of the four key items to Messina.
You cannot go back out to dive until you had investigated the Stone. Now you
will discover that the Lavender Stone is indeed Chalkeia and that Dr Bello must
have been carrying the true Purple one. Speak to Captain Marcello again and
he will tell you about the lower levels of the Juno, and that's the next
destination, although you can continue to explore the Spada and find masses of
additional items.
Check the list of things people want and Jio (the auction doorman) wants a
shovel and the kid in Vanessa Street, something to help him swim.
i. The Elevator

iii. Level Four: Third Class

v. Finding the Green Stone
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
i. The Elevator
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
You will be able to go back to Juno only after finding the Lavender Stone
inside the Spada and having it checked out by Dr Roberto. Now you will
discover that the Lavender Stone is indeed Chalkeia and that Dr Bello must have
been carrying the true Green one. Back to the Juno! Speak to Captain Marcello
again and he will tell you about the lower levels of the Juno. He will also
explain how to open the doors of the elevator by lifting up and sliding over,
and he will also give you the sub level Juno map.
Enter at the Mezzanine Deck and swim to the elevator. Now there is nothing to
it, once you have the instructions from the Captain, as there will be a new
option: Lift and Slide! So do just that and now the lower levels of the Juno
are open. You can't go any higher so swim down a tad and you have the helpful
option of going to Level 2, 3 or 4. After opening the top doors, all the
elevator doors are now open which makes further plundering of the rooms much
easier to accomplish.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
ii. Level Three
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
This small area is at the far end of the corridor leading down from the
kitchen and can only be reached when you can lift the boxes that block the
corridor, or when you have access to the Elevator.
However, if you remember, the rooms at the left on the Restaurant Deck were not
accessible before, so you might want to check this level out first. You should
be able to pick up the boxes blocking the corridor and then behind these is a
suit of armour and a room with a green wooden chest in the top right hand
corner: (weight 2750), and large Green Stone (this is Bloodstone) in the top
left corner. (weight 10g). Move the next set of larger boxes out of the way
and you will be back in familiar territory, the corridor that leads to the
kitchen area.

Now go back, and down the central corridor heading right, and remove the boxes
blocking the way. You can just pick them up and then, once they are in your
inventory, select to discard them. Enter the last room on the left at the end
of this corridor and there is a Blue Jewel Box in the middle of the floor.
Go back down the corridor and turn left and then remove more boxes to find the
cabin C2. Pick up Duralumin Case which contains Strange Bottle x1 = Supertonic

From the entrance at the south side of the level turn right, and enter the
narrow metal door at the end of this corridor. This is a very big area, called
Third Class Luggage, so swim towards the right and you will see some boxes in
the middle of the area. Equip the Gang Boss Map and you can find the box.
The first cabin to the left of the entrance has Cloudy Bottle = Trappist, and
Wooden Chest, (8050g) (contains Bronze Statue = carving of a saint, Pretty
Vase = Rococo Vase, Aztec Mask) and various bits of furniture.
From the luggage area you can swim north and there is a door leading out,
although it's hard to spot because there are two beds propped up against it. To
get through the top left metal door in the luggage area you must first remove
four freight boxes, and do the same to access the middle metal door on right
hand wall.

v. Finding the Green Stone
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Key Items : Dirty Shoes
Caretaker's Key
Green Stone
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Once you've exited from the far side of the engine room, return and swim right
and through the first doorway and then through to the next room and here you
can find Dirty Shoes: key item. They are behind the tumbled over bed.
Continue down this corridor and there is another cabin door facing you. This is
the caretaker's room and there is the Key Item: Caretaker's Key on the floor.
(weight 115g)
Follow the corridor to reach The Boiler Room There is a wooden chest (900g) to
the top left of the area. This contains: Chalcedony x10, Quartz x 4, Corundum x
2. And the nice music will start around about here. You can't get further
forwards from the chest so turn back and head up the centre of the room towards
the bow of the ship. At the far side there is a door which requires the
Caretaker's Key. Simply swim forwards over the pipes to the green light you
can see ahead. Now return to the corridor and exit. You have found all three
Chalkeia Stones!
oooooooooooooo
After the Dive
oooooooooooooo
You will now be a Platimum Diver. Cao will be back with a third challenge
race.
Teresa will remember that her husband was pals with the maintenance man. You
will of course have the Dirty Shoes for her, but first need to get them
appraised. Give the shoes to Teresa and get Suit Hood and new title: Tear
Jerker.
Now Zuccho visits you at night to tell you about Alberto and how you found his
coin. Zucho thinks he may have killed your "pa." He gives you Alberto's Coin
and tells you to meet him at the abandoned building in Vanessa St the next
day. If you go first thing, he won't be there yet, but just wait a while and
then go to the buildng next to the drunk and get Reregulator and father's
letter from Zuccho. Then return to the dock and agree to forgive Zuccho and
get his coin. Read the letter (select Use from the menu, and you will discover
the location of the Ruins of Protopolis.
Al will tell you there are auctions of scuba gear! Once you have managed to
buy the Le Porteur larger sack you will be able to pick up a bed and other
heavy items on the Juno. However, there is still a better sack than this!
oooooooooooooo
Pazzolini Coin
oooooooooooooo
Once you can pick up a bed give Pazzolini his required cabinet, desk, a bed,
lamp and chair. You get his Coin and Santa's Envy! This sack will let you
carry 50,000g. Now you can finally pick up the really heavy stuff.

Matter Compressor And Ouroborous Map
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Pick up an oak bed from the Mezzanine Level and show this to Massimo and you
will receive the Matter Compressor and Ouroborous Map The Matter Compressor
is a very useful device because it means you can store an item of ANY WEIGHT!
Only one at a time of course, but who really would want to shift more than one
grand piano at once?
Speak to Messina and he will tell you about the Pirate's Star treasure and
that these four items are necessary if you want to find it. They are all found
inside the Spada.
I have already described the location of these in the other section on the
Spada, and you can view the maps for the Spada in Section 20 to help find the
rest of the loot inside the ship.

Agrippa Map
ooooooooooo
You will need the Matter Compressor to pick up this chest,
Enter at the Aft Upper Deck and make your way down to the Hold from the lower
Deck. As soon as you emerge from the Mast Room you will be heading for the red
cross, which is slightly down from the centre exit and to the back of the ship.
However, although you will hear the sonar, there is nothing to be seen on this
lower area of the Hold. You need to be on the higher floor that runs around
the edge and you can reach this by swimming to the other side of the entrance
room towards the prow and then swimming up when you can.
Swim to the bottom side of the deck and when you enter the room with the masks
you will hear the sonar again. The Agrippa Chest is in the top right corner of
that room. Weight 20000g. You can exit from the Aft Upper Deck, captain's
area. The Agrippa Chest contains Vanadium x1.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
The Puzzle And Messina's Coin
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Messina will explain the solution to the puzzle after you have given him all
four key items from the Pirate Ship.
First the astrolabe and the telescope..when they fit together they point 50
degrees. The lodestone and the compass. They fit together too and point to
244 degrees. So the place where the Pirate's Star is at an altitude of 50
degrees, direction 244 degrees...he calculates and then shows you the location
on the world map. It is where the rocks are to the far right in the centre of
the edge of the map. This is called the Labyrinth. He hints you should use
the metal sonar and gives you his coin at last!.
ooooooooooooo
The Labyrinth
ooooooooooooo
Head due east along the central line of the map. With the Metal Sonar equipped
I found Iron Chest weight 1733g at 107 m. Mega-ade 1000x1 Carved Fish x1, Gold
Dust x1, You will come to a dead end at the wall at about 124m so head south
down the edge of the rock and through the gap. which is basically a narrow lane
between two high walls heading due east. Then you will reach another rock wall
so turn south and hug the left wall until it turns east again. In a short
distance you will turn a corner, now going north. Again the passage turns and
now you are going west and soon north again for a fair way and then it turns
east once more and you can see you are getting closer to the red cross.
Use the sonar to help from this point on and you'll enter an open area where
you'll discover the Pirate Lord Chest (1520g).
This is Costello's iron treasure chest, and it contains Yellow Stone x1 =
Topaz, Citrine x1, Crystal Skull x1. Show the skull to Messina and you get a
new title Treasure Hunter. Collect over 300 items and you will gain another
title: Master Packrat from Gallo.
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
UNDERSEA RUINS OF PROTOPOLIS
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
LOCATION
Found at depth 198m in the far south east bottom corner of the world map where
there are some rocks. As you get close to the site there will be a few purple
eels and you might see some pillars as 188metres. It's best to ignore the
pillars as they lead in different directions, so keep checking your map for the
right direction to the wall.
You will recognise the entrance by the change in the rock face and the bubbles
emerging, however you must have found all three Chalkeia stones before you can
enter. Press X to see the notice that you have arrived and to enter. Return to
town and speak to Gallo for two titles: one for diving over 200m and the other
for finding the ruins. Once you have found it there will be a red cross
marking the site, but you will still have to swim all the way out there.
By the way: you discover the location of the ruins when you read Alberto's
letter after Zuccho gives it to you.
PREPARATION
You cannot pick anything up in here until you get to the final cavern, but you
should equip the Re-breather to give you more air, as this is what will run out
before anything else. You could also try the Accelerator as an alternative,
but remember that you have to press the L2 button to activate it: at least it
helps in getting to the Ruins faster, so this might be a better bet. Make
sure to equip the Dolphin Suit of course.
Equip the fastest fins, and stock up on Supertonics so you can boost your
stamina if your air runs out before you have completed the ruins: although the
stamina boost won't last long with no air left, at least it gives you a
fighting chance.
ORIENTATION
Although you enter facing south, once you are inside you are actually facing
due north, which can be very confusing at first, but this means the red marker
on your compass is facing up.
Basically you have to keep heading north whenever possible, but I have been
kind enough to map the ruins so it shouldn't be as hard as it would be
otherwise! When I found the correct route I had just time left to put in one
of the Large Gems and chose the wrong indentation and then drowned. Poor Leo.
You should be saved this fate if you follow the route mapped out and ignore all
side passages.

ENTER
Just keep going north keeping to the path that has the statues lining it, and
head past the large Pillar until you reach the open area with a large stone in
the centre. From here, continue north, and then east, until you can swim under
a stone bridge heading to the west. After this the way is easy to follow and
you will enter another large area with many statues. You enter from a higher
level and must swim down to the bottom. Keep heading north and then west, and
follow the tunnel to the door, when music starts, so you know you are heading
in the right direction at last.
Elephants guard the tunnel and then there is another door. You reach a
pedestal to the left of the doorway, and have to put something in it. Put the
Red Chalkeia in the red pedestal and Lavender Chalkeia in the blue one that is
to the right of the room, and the door opens. Swim forwards and put the Green
Chalkeia in the green pedestal and another door opens. First swim to the right
and pick up the Blue Gaea Gem.
Swim ahead down the long corridor.into a large area with a large shining pink
gem on the ground and three of those pretty white stationary floating creatures
Pick up the Uranus Gem which is dark PINK. Highlight the two indentations that
are at either side of the gem's location and put the Gaea gem in the left one
and Uranus in the right.
Then the game takes over and you automatically circle and move whatever amount
of air you have left: so long as you have some you will be fine. Bright light
and bubbles show.as you swim up to the light past turtles and fish and dolphins
circling...lovely
ONE MONTH LATER!
You have calmed the sea and the poster above the captain will say so. Speak to
everyone and get their news and finally speak to Zuccho again for the real end
of the game.and nice gentle sea noises.
THE END!!
And go and play Everblue 2 for the continuation of the story.

This is the option to make better things by combining varous items at the

lot and Gorto will give you the AGRIPPA MAP. The easiest things to obtain are
the recovery items, but you don't need to have completed the whole list to get
this: I still had seven stones not yet found.

8. THE AUCTION HOUSE .................................................... *L08
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
After finding the Suitcase and having appraised Bellos' Suit, take it to Mrs.
Teresa Algheri, and she will help you out by having a suit made. This is very
handy as it means you can finally get inside the Auction Rooms, but first just
do another dive or two and revisit her to get the Tuxedo!
Simply equip the Tuxedo from the inventory and even though you are still
apparently wearing your flippers you can enter. Talk to Jio, the doorman, who
is standing outside, for information about how to enter items and bid.

The items for sale will only change when you stay the night at the inn. The
last item on the list will not be identified, and if you choose to sell
something, then this final hidden item will disappear and not be sold.
Here are some of the groups of items appearing at the saleroom. Most of the
items can be found elsewhere, but a few are unique. The coins might be the ones
you don't already have and some items will help to complete the collections for
various people.
These are some of the titles given to your photos by Martino, the photographer.

10. HEAVY ITEMS FOR MASSIMO ............................................. *L10
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
He will only keep a record of your top ten heavy items, and after you have
given him heavier things, he will no longer accept the lighter objects as any
new item must be heavier than the 10th one on his list. The heavier the item,
the bigger the reward. Give him something heavy and you will receive the
Knight Map, and the essential Matter Compressor, which allows you to pick up
an item no matter how heavy it is, can only be obtained from Massimo.
He gives 1000G for items over 1100g, and 5000G for items over 40,000g. It is
worth while showing him items because it's a quick and painless way to make
extra cash and you don't lose your stuff, he just makes a note of the weight.
Some examples:

Keep talking to him and he will tell you what he still wants for the auction. I
ended up with two categories left: arms and treasures, and you won't be able to
find an "arms" item until you find the Spada. After giving him the Cutlass and
Silver necklace (a treasure item) I finally received his coin and the Map

can continue to give him the same range of items for new titles and rewards.

When you give him an item, he will comment to let you know what category it is
if you are unsure. You can only give him the things he actually wants, but
you lose the item, so if you want to keep your inventory full make sure you
have more than one of each. (I found that I had forgotten about the items form
The Viola as I had obtained some of these before he appeared, and sold them.
There is also a bed that can only be obtained from the ferry after you have the
Santa Sack.)

These Map Elements are used with the Sonar and will reveal the location of a
particular chest on a wreck. This chest will not appear unless you have
equipped the Element, and when you do, it will show the map of the wreck and
the location of the chest marked by a red cross. After you have found the
chest, the Map Element is "used up" and will disappear.

every one separately although their contents will be identical and they will be
shown on your screen as owning x 2, 3 or whatever number you might have

Thanks to Arika for creating a game that goes against the tide of other first
person games, and for Everblue 2, too!
Thank you to GameFAQs for hosting boards for every game and making it possible
for me to find someone else who also likes Everblue. Also thank you for
posting this FAQ.
Many thanks to cade who rescued this FAQ by successfully completing Cao's race
and finding the location of the Juno.
Thanks to Saikyo Mog for the usual good advice and words of caution. Best to
learn how to swim before diving in at the deep end, or words to that effect.
I am glad I listened to you for once. ;)

First Draft : Completed up to finding the Key for the Juno.
November 25th 2007
Second Draft : Complete rethink and changed the formatting. There is a long
way to swim yet, but reached the Brigantine after having some
problems with my maps of the Juno: now pretty well sorted out.
Only an introduction to the Auction Room so far.
25th February 2008
Third Draft : More exploration of the Juno, Spada, Labyrinth and Protopolis.
Lots more titles, coins and treasure! Although the final part
of the FAQ is complete there is more mapping to do and items
to list as well as other improvements. I have reorganised the
contents again.
14th March 2008
Fourth Draft : April ....2008
Fifth Version : March 2011. Completed the walkthrough and improved the
formatting, although some items and Friendship Coins are still
unaccounted for.
