1. Introduction

I finally decided to make a guide about the different cutscenes in the Dynasty
Warriors games. I personally take great interest in finding all the cutscenes
and I noticed no one had made one for DW5XL. Hopefully you will find it
informative and helpful.

2. The events
-----------------------
I have personally tested all the cutscenes and the way I have described to get
them has worked. There may of course be other triggers or triggers that I have
presumed were there. Some of the cutscenes can be triggered regardless of who
you're playing as, but I have not tested the stages with characters other than
the recommended ones. Mabey I will if I suddenly get alot of time on my hands
or by request.
This guide will only contain events that trigger cutscenes. This means that
events of the type "Pang De arrives as reinforcements" won't be found in this
guide (unless of course, Pang De's arrival was accompanied by a cutscene). Also
standard cutscenes will not be covered. By standard cutscenes I mean the intro
scene where you see the territory you are fighting in, officers going into
hyper-mode, officer retreats etc.
The names I have given to the cutscenes are taken from the top of my head.
Feel free to come with name suggestions if you have better alternatives
-Struggle for the Book
Wind vs. Fire
Play as: Pang Tong, Zhang Jiao
Requirements: as Pang Tong, encounter Zhang Jiao or vice versa
Description: The two throw their staffs at each other. The staffs fly up in the
air where they are caught by their respective owners. The to fight a little
before they circle each other. Pang Tong critzises Zhang Jiao for being to
impatient while Zhang Jiao vows to see the heavens
Effects: none, just a special character cutscene
Encounter
Play as: Pang Tong, Zuo Ci
Requirements: as Pang Tong, encounter Zuo Ci or vice versa
Description: The two runsideways opposite one another, when Zuo Ci shoots out
his cards. Pang Tong makes a whirlwind an the cards fly back into Zuo Ci's
hand. Zuo Ci tries to entice Pang Tong to come with him. But Pang Tong says
he would rather live life instead of just watching events unfold
Effects: none, just a special character cutscene
Encounter
Play as: Zhang Jiao, Zuo Ci
Requirements: as Zhang Jiao, encounter Zuo Ci or vice versa
Description: Zhang Jiao is running along when suddenly some floating cards
appear in front of him shortly followed by Zuo Ci himself. Zhang Jiao says
he wants the book and that Zuo Ci should step aside. He shoots flames at Zuo
Ci with his staff which Zuo Ci deflects with his cards. Zuo Ci then says
that Zhang Jiao shoudn't get the book because if his great ambition
Effects: none, just a special character cutscene
-Rescue at Lou Sang Village
First Meeting
Play as: Zhang Fei, Guan Yu
Requirements: as Zhang Fei, encounter Guan Yu or vice versa
Description: the two warriors face each other, then fight a few bouts. Zhang
Fei asks Guan Yu if he is the leader, but Guan Yu responds that he is
looking for a man of virtue. Zhang Fei mocks Liu Bei's fighting skills and
they decide to help him together
Effects: Zhang Fei/Guan Yu will now follow you
Finshing the Job
Play as: Liu Bei, Zhang Fei, Guan Yu
Requirements: with all three oath-brothers alive, defeat Zhang Bao
Description: Liu Bei slays a soldier. Zhang Fei is close by and so is Guan Yu.
Liu Bei thanks them for their help and offers them a drink when the fight is
over. Zhang Fei says it's time to work up an appetite and the three get ready
for more fighting
Effects: None, just a cutscene showing the three brothers
The Magical Yellow Turbans
Play as: Liu Bei, Zhang Fei, Guan Yu
Requirements: move towards Zhang Jiao's position
Description: Zhang Jiao os standing alone talking in a strange echo voice. He
says something about the Yellow Turbans and two rocks (I'm not sure what it
is) shoots out from his staff
Effects: boulders will start falling from the sky at the last part of the path
up to Zhang Jiao
-Ou Xing's Rebellion
Failed Sneak Attack
Play as: Huang Gai
Requirements: get spotted by the troops guarding the passage towards the castle
Description: you see the castle wall, where you're supposed to infiltrate the
castle has been sealed of by some sort of barricade
Effects: the infiltration has failed and you must find another way to help the
Suns.
A New Path
Play as: Huang Gai
Requirements: get the event described above, then go back to where you started
and defeat the Gate Captain that guards the wall there
Description: the wall preventing you from going further is blown up
Effects: you can now rendevouz with the Suns
A New Recruit
Play as: Sun Jian, Sun Ce
Requirements: at the beginning of the stage, head to the northern village
Huang Gai will appear and you will get a message to save the village
together with Huang Gai. Do this by defeating Zhou Chao and the cutscene
will trigger
Description: Huang Gai slays a couple of soldiers. A new wave of troops
approaches him, but suddenly Sun Ce comes and slays them. Sun Jian then
comes riding on his horse and praises Sun Ce. He gets of his horse and asks
Huang Gai if he will join him. Huang Gai eagerly agrees
Effects: the northern village is saved
Notes: I haven't found a way to trigger this event while playing as Huang Gai
Opening the Gates
Play as: Sun Jian, Sun Ce, Huang Gai
Requirements: the requirements are different, depending on who you play as:
Huang Gai: infiltrate the castle and kill both Gate Captains defending
the gates and the cutscene will trigger
Sun Jian/Sun Ce: get the event above. When you start closing on Chang Sha
castle, Ou Xing will close his gates. This will make Huang Gai will go and
infiltrate the castle. When he is ready at the western gate (check the map),
go and defeat Yang Feng. This will trigger the cutscene
Description: the gate opens and there stands Huang Gai. He calmly walks out
when some soldiers charge him. He easily disposes of them, and then says
something about the bandits being in the wrong
Effects: both gates will open
-The Ten Eunuchs' Rebellion
The Noble Protector
Play as: Yuan Shao
Requirements: defeat the stage
Description: Yuan Shao slays some eunuchs, when Dong Zhuo comes. Dong Zhuo
yells at Yuan Shao for ruining his dream. Yuan Shao denounces Dong Zhuo and it
looks like they're getting ready to fight. Unfortunatly the cutscene ends
there
Notes: the event will not trigger if you rescue He Jin
A New World
Play as: Dong Zhuo
Requirements: defeat the stage
Description: Dong Zhuo kills a eunuch and them kicks him away. He approaches
the imperial carriage, but from behind Yuan Shao comes and tells Don Zhuo to
know his place. Dong Zhuo hits Yuan Shao to the ground and says that he is
clinging to old ideas, now it's time for Dong Zhuo's world
Notes: the event will not trigger if you rescue He Jin
-Battle of Yan Province
Trapped
Play as: Diao Chan, Lu Bu, Zhang Liao
Requirements: Zhang Liao crosses the bridge in the west
Description: it just shows a bridge collapsing
Effects: you can no longer use the bridge
Trapped, Again
Play as: Diao Chan, Lu Bu, Zhang Liao
Requirements: take Pu Yang castle AFTER Cao Cao arrives (Cao Cao arrives 10
minutes into the stage. Then defeat Xiahou Yuan, Xiahou Dun and Cao Ren. Cao
Cao will taunt Lu Bu and then Lu Bu (Zhang Liao if you're playing as Lu Bu)
will charge Cao Cao. After Lu Bu/Zhang Liao crosses the central bridge, the
cutscene triggers
Description: it just shows a bridge collapsing
Effects: the bridge is now down and the morale of Lu Bu (if you're playing as
Diao Chan or Zhang Liao) or Zhang Liao (if you're playing as Lu Bu) goes down.
Cao Cao's morale increases
Fighting for Love
Play as: Diao Chan
I can't remember how to get this cutscene at the moment. I'll have to do some
more testing. If you know how to get it, please let me know.
A Loyal Vassal
Play as: Zhang Liao, Lu Bu
Requirements: get the "Trapped Again" event. Now meet up with Lu Bu/Zhang Liao
and defeat Dian Wei and Xu Zhu. This should trigger the cutscene
Description: Lu Bu is surrounded. He slays some of the soldiers, but that
leaves him vulnerable from behind. Suddenly Zhang Liao comes jumping out of
the air and slays the troops threatening Lu Bu. Lu Bu asks Zhang Liao if he
thinks he is as strong as him. Zhang Liao answers that no one can match Lu
Bu's skills, but that his will to fight is as strong as any. He then slays
some more troops in a very stylish way
Effects: Lu Bu/Zhang Liao is rescued and gives his thanks
Notes: when playing as Lu Bu Zhang Liao will charge directly at Cao Cao. To get
Dian Wei and Xu Zhu over to you (Zhang Liao will die if you leave his side)
just hurt Cao Cao a little and defeat soldiers. When they come, they will both
be in hypermode. Be careful when you take them out so you son't kill Cao Cao
before them
-Imperial Rescue
Discussing the Army
Play as: Xiahou Dun, Cao Cao
Requirements: quickly defeat Guo Si and head towards Li Jue. When you defeat Li
Jue, make sure that the three other officers are close. After Cao Cao talks
about keeping the carriage safe, the cutscene will trigger
Description: Dian Wei and Xu Zhu are slaying some soldiers, while Cao Cao sits
on his horse watching them. Xiahou Dun rides up next to him and praises Dian
Wei and Xu Zhu. Cao Cao agrees, but says he will also need Xiahou Dun's help
in achieving his goals.
Effects: none, just a special character cutscene
The Two Bodyguards
Play as: Dian Wei, Xu Zhu
Requirements: I think I've figured it out now, and it seems that basically all
you need to do is be close to the other character when you approach Lu Bu. I
haven't tested it enough to be sure, but it seems to work
Description: Xu Zhu is rolling through enemy soldiers. Dian Wei helps him up.
Xu Zhu says he doesn't actually like to fight, but he can't let Cao Cao lose
to remnants of Dong Zhuo. Dian Wei agrees and says that they must also fight
for the new future that Cao Cao will create
Effects: Xu Zhu/Dian Wei (depending on which one of them you are playing as)
goes into hyper-mode
-The Two Qiaos
Let the Trials Begin
Play as: Zhou Yu, Sun Ce
Requirements: happens at the beginning of the stage
Description: Zhou Yu and Sun Ce are riding, when they are stopped by Wu
soldiers. The soldiers say they can't let them pass. Sun Ce comments that it
looks like they're being tested. Zhou Yu replies that it will at least be
then telling her he loves her
The Final Trial
Play as: Zhou Yu, Sun Ce
Requirements: meet up with the two Qiaos
Description: your character (and the other if he's around) run towards the two
Qiaos. They say they have no problems with your looks, but they wonder if you
can beat them in battle. Then the fight is on
Effects: none, just a special character cutscene
-Husbands and Wives
For Their Husbands
Play as: Yue Ying, Zhen Ji
Requirements: as Yue Ying, encounter Zhen Ji and vice versa
Description: it's basically Yue Ying and Zhen Ji badmouthing each other, while
their husbands stand in the background
Effects: you start a fight with other couple
A sister's Love
Play as: Da Qiao, Xiao Qiao
Requirements: as Da Qiao, encounter Xiao Qiao and vice versa. You may have to
along side your sister before the event triggers
Description: the two Qiaos are staring each other down, when Sun Ce and Zhou Yu
come and break them up. The two sisters say to their husbands that they have
to settle this and they jump at each other.
Effects: you start a fight with the other couple
-Battle of Ji Castle
Fighting for What's Right
Play as: Ma Chao, Pang De
Requirements: happens at the beginning of the stage
Description: Ma Chao and Pang De are watching some soldiers fight. Pang De
comments to Ma Chao that he seems to be driven only by his personal anger. Ma
Chao responds that he has not forgotten the true meaning, but his desire for
revenge is what drives him. Ma Chao rides away, and Pang De says that at least
he will fight for what is right
Something to Fight for
Play as: Ma Chao, Pang De
Requirements: defeat the stage
Description: Ma Chao is rallying his troops after the victory. Pang De says to
Ma Chao that he will take his leave of him. Ma Chao is shocked and tells Pang
De that the fight for Liang has just started. But Pang de walks away while
saying he must find something to fight for that is greater than himself
-Battle of Jia Meng Gate
Rockslide
Play as: Zhang Fei, Zhuge Liang, wei Yan
Requirements: not sure exactly what triggers this, but it happens very early in
the stage, and I doubt it can be prevented
Description: Zhang Wei is standing atop a mountain. Peons on either side of him
push boulders down the slope. One of the peons looks like he'll be tumbling
after...
Effects: a rockslide begins on the north-western pathway
A Fierce Duel
Play as: Zhang Fei
Requirements: encounter Ma Chao
Description: Zhang Fei is running towards Ma Chao. Fei strikes at Ma Chao, but
the saddle is empty. Ma Chao has jumped out of the saddle, lands on Zhang
Fei's spear and then jumps back into the saddle again! Ma Chao then says he
will fight for the Five Bushel's Sect. Zhang Fei replies that Chao isn't the
only one sworn to defending something. Then the two warriors charge each other
Effects: none, just a special character cutscene
Surrender
Play as: Zhang Fei, Zhuge Liang, Wei Yan
Requirements: defeat Ma Chao quickly two times. If you delay to long, he won't
surrender
Description: Ma Chao staggers to the ground, clutching his spear. He wonders
if there is anything he can protect. The character you are playing as will
talk to him and convince him of joining Liu Bei
Effects: Ma Chao defects and will now fight for Liu Bei's forces. Liu Bei calls
for an all-out attack
-Battle of Yang Ping Gate
Impressive Unity
Play as: Cao Cao, Xiahou Yuan, Zhang He, Cao Ren
Requirements: happens at the beginning of the stage
Description: Xiahou Yuan looks at the land they are about to conquer and is
impressed. Cao Cao on the other hand wants it subdued quickly and orders his
generals out on the field
The Stage is Set
Play as: Zhang He
Requirements: defeat enough statues on the first level for the stairs to appear
Description: as the stairs rise up from the ground, Zhang He is standing at the
top. He leaps onto the stairs and calls says they must take to the stage they
have been given. Butterflies surround him of course
Effects: Cao Cao will call for a charge by the main army and Zhang Lu will
retreat to the main camp
The Key to Victory
Play as: Cao Ren
Requirements: head for the upper level and destroy the statues there to reveal
teh stairs
Description: as the stairs rise up from the ground, Cao Ren is standing at the
top. He comments that the stairs must be the key to victory and rallies the
army to attack
Effects: Wei Force's morale rises
-Battle of Ru Xu Kou
Successful Attack
Play as: Taishi Ci, Lu Meng, Gan Ning, Zhou Tai, Ling Tong
Requirements: for Gan Ning, you have to defeat the officers and base in the
central area, then get to the boat to the west of the central area. For the
other characters just let time go by and Gan Ning will take care of it
Description: Gan Ning runs towards the boat and jumps onto it. He raalies his
men and they to jump onto the boat
Effects: a boat will now link the western pathway to the central area
Another Boat
Play as: Taishi Ci, Lu Meng, Gan Ning, Zhou Tai, Lng Ting
Requirements: let the surprise attack be a success. Then it happens short after
Description: you see a boat. Nothing fancy
Effects: a boat appears south of the central area
Counterattack
Play as: Taishi Ci, Lu Meng, Gan Ning, Zhou Tai, Ling Tong
Requirements: allow Xiahou Dun to reach the boat south of the central area
Description: some Wei soldiers have gone ashore. Xiahou Dun leaps over them on
his horse and calls for the troops to attack
Effects: the boat will have moved to Tashi Ci and Lu Meng's starting position
and Xiahou Dun will be there too with his force. Xiahou Dun will get a morale
boost and head straight for Sun Quan
The Last Boat
Play as: Taishi Ci, Lu Meng, Gan Ning, Zhou Tai, Ling Tong
Requirements: for Gan Ning, manage to sneak by the Wei soldiers after you have
successfully attacked the center area. And it will happen when you reach the
point sout-west of Wei's main camp indicated to you by Lu Meng. For the others
just make sure the battle is going well enough for Gan Ning to do his job
Description: you see yet another boat
Effects: a boat appears, making it possible for Gan Ning to strike at Wei's
main camp
Fighting for the Fallen
Play as: Taishi Ci, Lu Meng
Requirements: defeat Zhang Liao three times, then meat up with Tashi Ci/Lu Meng
depending on who you're playing as
Description: Taishi Ci slays some soldiers. Lu Meng approaches him and
compliments his skills. Taishi Ci says it's easy and that he only fights to
keep his promise to Sun Ce. Lu Meng the says that the he shall fight for Zhou
Yu
Effects: none, just a special character cutscene
Notes: thanks to oyster for pointing out that the cutscene works with both
characters
Friendly Rivalry
Play as: Gan Ning, Ling Tong
Requirements: let the surprise attack be a success. Then meet with the other
character to trigger the cutscene
Description: Gan Ning is running and slays two Wei soldiers. Ling Tong is
standing and waiting for Gan Ning, applauding sarcastically. Gan Ning runs by
him and tells him to shut up and do his job. Ling Tong wields his Nunchaka
and replies to Gan Ning that he musn't get in his way
Effects: none, just a special character cutscene
Always There
Play as: Zhou Tai
Requirements: take the western attack base as instructed. Then just linger in
the area while Zhang Liao defeats Lu Meng and Taishi Ci, and Xiahou Dun
reaches the Wei boat and crosses over. Sun Quan will say something like
"Enemies... Everywhere.." and a message will appear telling you to rescue Sun
Quan quickly. This is your que to go to his aid. The cutscene triggers when
you reach your lord.
Description: Sun Quan is in a deadlock with a Wei soldier. Sun Quan wins it and
cuts the soldier down. He turns around and sees that he is surrounded. Some
of the soldiers sneak up from behind and just as they're about to strike, Zhou
Tai pushes Sun Quan away and takes the blows. He the says that no one will
come near his lord
Effects: none, just a special character cutscene
-Battle of Han Shui
The Hero From Chang Ban
Play as: Zhao Yun
Requirements: happens at the beginning of the stage
Description: Cao Cao is sitting furiously atop his horse, yelling that they
not be losing this fight. He gets a report from a soldier that a general has
taken a stand on the bridge as we see Zhao Yun standing proudly on the bridge.
Cao Cao calls for an all-out attack, and we see Zhao Yun preparing himself
against a wave of Wei soldiers
Respect Your Elders
Play as: Huang Zhong, Zhao Yun
Requirements: for Huang Zhong, you have to succeed in your surprise attack.
Take out the guards with your bow and without being noticed. If you manage
the cutscene will trigger when you approach the bridge north-west of Wei's
main camp. I have gotten it with Zhao Yun as well. I believe the way to get
it is defend the bridge well. Don't let anyone pass you and you should get it.
I did it on chaos, so I don't think it has anything to do with difficulty
Description: three Wei soldiers are standing guard when suddenly Huang Zhong
comes running towards them. He shoots one of them down, but the archer
standing there fires back. Huang Zhong jumps in the air, dodges the arrow and
at the same time shoots the two remaining soldiers! He then raises his sword
to the sky and says he will keep fighting
Effects: Huang Zhong's unit will attack Wei's main camp and Shu get a morale
boost
-Battle of Mai Castle
Never Give Up
Play as: Guan Ping, Xing Cai
Requirements: let time pass and play as you normally would. A soldier will say
that you are cut of from your reinforcements. Guan Yu will order Guan Ping to
secure the east road. This will trigger the cutscene
Description: Guan Ping is riding along, when he realizes that they are
surrounded. Suddenly Guan Yu comes flying and slays the Wei troops in Ping's
way. He tells his son not to give up, Guan Ping nods and takes of to secure
the reinforcements
Effects: you are told to secure the eastern checkpoints if you're Guan Ping.
Guan Ping will start moving along the east road if you're playing as Xing Cai
Never Give Up Part II
Play as: Guan Yu
Requirements: let time pass and defeat officers. A soldier will say that you
are cut of from your reinforcements. Guan Ping will order you to secure the
east road. This will trigger the cutscene
Description: Guan Yu is surrounded. Suddenly Guan Ping comes flying and slays
the Wei troops in Yu's way. He tells his father that he will hold out. Guan Yu
responds that he is proud of the man Ping has become and that he will go
secure the reinforcements
Effects: you are told to secure the eastern checkpoints
Your Own Path
Play as: Guan Ping, Xing Cai
Requirements: as Guan Ping, encounter Xing Cai and vice versa
Description: Guan Ping is slaying some Wu soldiers when Xing Cai approaches
him. The two rejoice that they are still both safe. Suddenly they realize that
they are surrounded. Guan Ping wonders where their path will take them. Xing
Cai says they must choose their own path
Effects: none, just a special character cutscene
-Battle of Xin Castle
One Last Fight
Play as: Xu Huang
Requirements: happens at the beginning of the stage
Description: Xu Huang stands and denounces Meng Da. He suddenly takes to his
chest and goes down on his knees. The soldier holding his horse helps him up.
Xu Huang gets on his horse and says he will slay Meng da in the name of Wei
and his former friend Guan Yu
Betraying the Heavens
Play as: Cao Pi
Requirements: happens at the beginning of the stage
Description: Cao Pi and some soldiers are standing together. Cao Pi denounces
Meng Da and says that betraying him, is like betraying the heavens itself
Who's the Real Traitor?
Play as: Sima Yi
Requirements: defeat Meng Da
Description: Meng Da is clutching to his spear, on the verge of death. Meng Da
is surprised at the speed of the Wei army. Sima Yi says that it was easy
anticipating Meng Da's moves. Meng Da says that he is not the only traitor,
but then he dies. Sima Yi says he will only betray his lord when the world can
be his. He then walks away laughing
Effects: Xin Castle is yours
-Battle of Shi Ting
The Tiger Takes the Field
Play as: Lu Xun, Sun Quan, Sun Shang Xiang
Requirements: happens at the beginning of the stage
Description: Sun Quan is mounting his horse when Shang Xiang comes running. She
expresses her worries for her brother, but Sun Quan laughs at her, saying he
will not die until he has finished the work his father and brother started.
Shang Xiang is convinced and Sun Quan rides of
Bridge Colapsing
Play as: Lu Xun, Sun Quan, Sun Shang Xiang
Requirements: allow the tactics to work. This means you must secure both flanks
or help by defeating sub-officers, depending on who you're playing as. When
both flanks are secured, Lu Xun will order Zhou Fang to take out the bridge
Description: it just shows the bridge collapsing
Effects: the bridge to the south-east of Wei's main camp will be destroyed
The Ploy
Play as: Lu Xun, Sun Quan, Sun Shang Xiang
Requirements: will follow right after the event above
Description: Sun Quan jumps up and cuts down a Wei soldier. He then yells out.
His troops attack and Sun Quan tells them to show their valor
Effects: the Wu army mobilizes and get a morale boost
Surrounding the enemy
Play as: Lu Xun
Requirements: after you've succeeded in your ploy, Sima Yi will comment that
he also has a trick up his sleeve. Lu Xun will understand and call for two
task units to destroy the bridge
Description: just shows a bridge collasing
Effects: the two bridges near Wu's main camp will be destroyed
Notes: to get this event, you must also have defeated the spy in your own
ranks. You will get a report by a soldier that there is a traitor right after
you secure the north-eastern flank. Just look through your troops till you
find a task leader. He will defect once you get near him
Fire Attack Yet Again
Play as: Lu Xun
Requirements: get the event described above, then go to the last road leading
to the Wu camp. Go to where it is narrow and Lu Xun will call for a fire
task unit. Retreat back a little and let some Wei soldiers approach you. This
should trigger the cutscene
Description: some Wei soldiers are charging Lu Xun. he says he won't let them
surround him. As the soldiers come close, Lu Xun turns around and fire shoots
up from the ground. Then Lu Xun says something about the fires turning the sky
red
Effects: Cao Zhen's reinforcements are trapped in Wu's main camp
-Battle of Mt. Qi
Starting the Ploy
Play as: Zhuge Liang, Jiang Wei, Wei Yan
Requirements: happens at the beginning of the stage
Description: reports are given to Wei Yan and Jiang Wei that they shall retreat
from mount Qi. First Jiang Wei praises Zhuge Liang for his wisdom and calls

The Two Master Minds
Play as: Zhuge Liang
Requirements: encounter Sima Yi
Description: Zhuge Liang comes up to Sima Yi and says that it would have been
easier to win the battle if Cao Zhen was in charge. Sima Yi is in a way
flattered that Zhuge Liang has heard of him, but goes on to say that so has
everyone. He then says he will defeat Zhuge
Effects: Sima Yi goes into hyper-mode

Fighting for a Way of Life
Play as: Meng Huo, Zhu Rong
Requirements: happens at the beginning of the stage
Description: some Wei soldiers are riding toward some nanman troops. The
nanman troops are cut down and the Wei troops push forward. Meng Huo and Zhu
Rong are standing together as they discuss the coming invasion. After some
philosophic thinking from Meng Huo, they agree they must fight to protect
their land.
Breaking the Wall
Play as: Meng Huo, Zhu Rong
Requirements: take the central area and then help both of the flanks, resulting
in an all-out attack. Meng Huo will then order King Mulu to break the wall
with his elephants. It seems that you also get this cutscene if you don't
rescue any of your allies
Description: a herd of elephants run down the wall
Effects: the middle path is now passable
Breaking the Wall Part II
Play as: Meng Huo, Zhu Rong
Requirements: it seems if you rescue only one of your allies, Cao Zhen will
arrive as reinforcements and bring a ram. Not sure of the exact requirements
Description: a ram breaks the wall
Effects: the middle path is now passable
Culture Clash
Play as: Meng Huo
Requirements: encounter Sima Yi
Description: Meng Huo and Sima Yi face each other. Meng Huo asks Sima Yi if the
land isn't big enough for them both. Sima Yi replies that it will only be big
enough when it is all his. Meng Huo understands there is no other way and they
get ready to fight
Effects: none, just a special character cutscene

3. Events I've missed

All the events described in this guide are self-found. That means that I
probably don't have all of them. In this section I will "discuss" the events I
believe I have missed.
I remember having gotten a cutscene with Diao Chan and Lu Bu while playing as
Diao Chan, but I can't remember how I got it. I think it happened after Cao Cao
arrived and that Lu Bu somehow came to your rescue, but I'm not quite sure.
Others that might be there:
Jiang Wei at Mt. Qi
Lu Bu at Battle of Yan Province
There may of course be more as well. If you know about any, or even if you have
a theory of how to get one, please let me know.

1.00 Has all the cutscenes I have found (with exceptions being the two at Nan
Zhong concerning the middle wall), but some requirements may be missing
