- You guys all know the drill.........no taking without my permission
first. Just use this guide for your own use......blah blah blah. It's
a simple concept that I know we all know, so just keep with it. Now
onto playing as the cutest character in the game.....Xiao Qiao.

1) Bio of Xiao Qiao

- First let me just point out that there's not a whole lot to this girl
in the real story of ROTK, but I'll go with what I've got.....

- Well first off she's the youngest sister of the Two Qiaos. Her and
her sister were both suppose to have unrivaled beauty throughout the
land. She later marries Zhou Yu. Really there's not much to them in
the story, and they're not suppose to participate in battle, but the
people at Omega Force decided that they would rough it up in the art
of war in this game.

2) Earning Xiao Qiao

- Alright, to earn them you're going to have to goto a special chapter
in the Wu Storyline. Really it doesn't matter who you are when you
go into this special chapter, but the story is only suppose to have
Sun Ce and Zhou Yu in this chapter, so make it the way it's suppose
to be by playing as one of those two. The chapter's name is called
"The Two Qiaos", and here's how to earn that chapter.

- First you must of gone through the Wu story once. Once you've beat
beat the Wu story one time you can get this chapter.
Start a new Wu game and choose The Yellow Turban Fortress first. Beat
this stage however you like, it doesn't matter how it ends just so
long as you win at it.
Next choose The Yellow Turban Rebellion and defeat this stage however
you want as well, just win.......that's all you have to do.
Once you've done that a screen showing the title "The Two Qiaos" will
appear.

- On this stage you must rescue the Qiao sisters from Dong Zhuo. Start
off the stage by going where each Qiao sister is at and helping them
out. Once you've got the sisters you must escape. This is where you
start hacking and slashing your way to the bottom of the screen. Dong
Zhuo shows up, but if you beat him the stage still doesn't end. The
only way to end it is by going to the bottom of the stage and defeat
the general down there. Once that's accomplished and you've beat the
stage, not only do you earn a new stage to play in Free Mode, but you
earn both Qiao sisters. There you have it.......that's how to get
Xiao Qiao.

3) A Quick Note on Xiao by Kingpet

- I got this e-mail from a reader of my FAQ and thought that maybe it
would benefit anyone else. I copied the e-mail as is so no changes
were made. Try it out for yourself.....

- thats what her name sounds like in chinese, though im not sure which
tone those two words are, (im sure the 1st word is 'small', her
sister is 'da qiao' which the first word sounds like big, so it would
make sense to call her small.)

neways, this is email is to inform that she r0x0r more that she looks
. when i first tried her i thought she would be a little wimp that
ill have the labor to lvl. little did i know.

give her vorpal orb (mine is lvl 3. must find 4!!!) with tiger
(screw hp/defense for now hehe) and give her some good bg for defense
. her ssst PWNS, mainly b/c 1) her attack fans are charged so any orb
she wears takes effect, granted full musou or lvl 10 2) it hit
forward AND bacward so it hits any creeping solder trying to whack u
from behind 3) it knocks down crowd like mad 4)and it boomerangs back
so any stupid soldier trying to creep up on you after ur charge will
mostly likely gets whacked by the returning fan, im not sure but i
think orbs are more effective on back attacks (and most likely the
solder back will be facing the fan on the fan's return)

as a result, u will hear ALOT of death when u do that move.
but, it gets even better. her 6st (6 s follow by a charge) gives her
spinning, though doesnt sound too impressive, it does good dmg in
duels (and a TON of weapon pts bonus)
not to mention following it with a true musou hehehe.

4) Attacks

- Well I'm sure you know by now that Square does your combo and
Triangle does your charge attacks, so here's her attacks....

T - She does alittle temper tantrum attack swinging her arms wildly
before doing a b***h slap.

S,T - Her little launcher attack, this attack also swings behind her
covering her back as well.

S,S,T - The extra combo, here she swings her fans in front of her
before throwing her fans outwards both in front of her and
behind her, both doing semi circles in horizontal and vertical
directions. This attack gets longer when you get new weapons.

S,S,S,T - She throws her fans both frontwards and backwards knocking
away anyone that gets in the fans path.

S,S,S,S,T - The launcher attack that smacks the opponent back to down
to earth in big hurry.

S,S,S,S,S,T - This is an improv version of her musou attack, except it
doesn't have the distance of her musou. This attack will
tear up a general's life if it hits properly.

- On horse -
When you attack normally she throws her fans far out to one side once,
and if you keep pressing the Square button she'll throw to the other
side.
Her charge attack on the horse is an attack that throws both fans to
both sides at the same time, with a great amount of distance to boot.

- Musou -
Her Musou attack is a pretty great one to take out a group of enemies.
She starts off by flipping rapidly, creating a sort of buzzsaw motion.
After she's finished with that she does a little twirl hitting the
closest person and finally throws out her fans while floating in the
air, and making the fans circle her. A pretty decent musou if I do say
so myself. It is possible to attack a single person with this attack,
but it is a bit tricky to combo with.

- Jump Attack -
Her jump attack is sort of good, but not really. She jumps into the air
and does a helicopter spin. This should be used only to swat off people
on horses or stop someone from using an aerial attack. It's not the
best type of offensive move that she has.

- Running Attack -
This attack is one of her cutest attacks in the game. She jumps out
forward tackling any and all in front of her. This is a great move to
use against groups of enemies. The big downside to this move is that
she takes her time getting up from it leaving her wide open. So despite
it's cuteness, it is a very major flaw in her attack arsenal.

- Taunt -
Her cutest move in the game. She hops around and screams out "I'm gonna
beat you up!" while surrounding herself in butterflies.

5) Weapon

- Here's how to get her 10th weapon, along with info on her other
weapons....

- Double Fans -
Lvls 1-3
Just an ordinary pair of household battle fans used to take on an army,
nothing special....
Only 4 attacks

- Peach Fans -
Lvls 4-6
Her fans get a little bigger with a pretty little design on them
5 attacks

- True Grace -
Lvls 7-9
Now it's time to show everyone that she's more than just a cute little
girl.....
all attacks open

- The 10th Weapon -

- Ok first off there's a few things that you must do before you can
consider even going after the 10th weapon. First you must get his
weapon up to level 9. Basically just keep leveling the weapon up til
it can't go any higher. Next off you're gonna have to play the game
on hard. If you're still a rookie to the DW scene then take your time
practicing things on normal, then go to hard on some of the easier
stages until you start to get the hang of things on hard. Fortunately
this can be done on Free Mode, so no worries there. Here's a check
list of what you need to do.

- Have earned Xiao Qiao
- Have weapon to level 9
- Have earned the stage Battle at Cheng Du
- Made sure to put the difficulty setting on Hard
- Have adequetly highten your stats

- Now on to earning the Xiao Grace.......

***NOTE: If you have earned Red Hare it'll make things alot easier for
you!!!!!!!!***

- This level is not gonna be easy let me tell you (It took me like 7
tries to get things just right!!!!) You have to make your way to the
bamboo forest where the Shu army ambushes you, then you have to find
and kill Guan Ping and Guan Yu in the bamboo forest all before Ma
Chao or Ma Dai shows up as back-up for the Shu army. Basically, you
are working within a time limit here.

- Alright......when you start the level you start off in front of Wang
Ping. You can defeat him if you want, but to save time just make your
way past him. Defeat one of the two sub-officers to get inside the
castle. Once you're inside just make your way to Ma Su and leave him.
When you reach Ma Su the back gate is open to the bamboo forest, so
if you find Ma Su, you find the entrance to the bamboo forest. Start
off by going to the very top route of the bamboo forest. By now Zhuge
Liang should of already tipped you off that there are ambush parties
waiting for you. In anycase go along the top route first and
eventually an ambush party will come up. Skip this group and keep
down that path until you run into Guan Ping's ambush party. Guan Ping
will announce himself so you'll know that it is his ambush party that
showed up. Defeat him as quickly as you can.

- Guan Yu's ambush party is on the bottom bamboo forest path. Just keep
on that path until an ambush party shows up and Guan Yu announces
himself. If you've already killed Guan Ping and Ma Chao or Ma Dai
hasn't shown up yet, then target Guan Yu and defeat him immedieately!
For some unknown reason, the Ma Chao/Dai back up troops like to
appear around the time you're fighting off the second person you have
to kill in the bamboo forest. That is why you need to make everything
as fast as possible. Once you've located and memorized where both
Guan's will show up then all you have to do is just get there and
defeat both quickly. Now trust me when I say you'll probably spend a
few tries on getting this 10th weapon so just get your rhythm down
right and you'll get Xiao's final weapon in no time.

*** Here's an e-mail that I got from Simon "kOrEaNrIcEbOi" Kim that has
another way of getting the Lvl 10 weapon. Actually it's the way I
said to do it above, but he worded the whole thing way better than
I could, with the exception of fighting Zhang Fei ***

*** First off ride up to Zhang Fei, try to beat him in a duel. Save
when you beat him in a duel. Keep trying, reload if you lose/tie.
It's not part of getting the weapon but it will releive pressure on
Sun Jian later. Plus it gives your army a morale boost. Ride up,
beat Guan Xing to get into the fort. Beat Ma Su. (save after each
general defeat.) Ride into the forest, trigger Guan Ping's ambush
(it should be in the north.) Do not go to the far left (west) or
you may trigger Ma Chao to appear. Guan Yu's ambush should appear
somewhere south of Guan Ping's. You should get the weapon message
after you beat him. Beat him, take red hare, ride back to Sun Jian,
and defeat all the generals and soldiers around him. Make sure
there's no red in Sun Jian's fort when you leave, otherwise he
might be defeated when you leave. Then just finish the stage and
get your weapon. It's one of the harder ones to get, but not that
hard. Took me about 40-50 minutes.

*** Here's an e-mail with another perspective on how to get her weapon.
I got her weapon the way I said to do it, so I have no idea if this
one works or not. It is in original e-mail format so no changes were
made to it. ***

*** I've been trying to get Xiao's tenth weapon all day, and i finally
got it. You have to change what your faq says about how to get it.
first of all, Ma Dai starts on the map, he has nothing to do with
getting the weapon, and second you have to defeat ma su. thats it.

*** In yet another way of getting this weapon, this one's brought to you
by Tristan Ash and is in it's original e-mail format with no changes
made to it ***

*** Hi, I asked you about Xiao Qiao's Level 10 weapon a few days ago,
remember?

I got it finally, I just wanted to tell you what I did to get it so
you can put it in the FAQ if you want to.

Kill one of the sub-officers guarding Luo Castle to get in, then
defeat Ma Su (must kill him). After defeating Ma Su, you have 5
minutes (I timed it) before Ma Chao shows up to kill Guan Ping and
Guan Yu in the Bamboo Forest. If you did it right, the weapon
message comes up right away. Just finish the stage however you want
after you kill Guan Ping and Guan Yu and you'll get the weapon.

Lvl 10
Now you can look cute and pass out the butt whippings at the same time!
All attacks available
+50 strength

6) Overall Stats

- Alright........here's the basic lowdown for Xiao Qiao. The grading
scale's an old fashioned one.....1 lowest.....10 highest. I'll give
my personal perspective on each stat to let you know why it's rated
that.

Strength: 7
Defense: 6
Speed: 9
Technique: 10
Normal Attacks: 6
Charge Attacks: 9
Musou Attack: 7
Horseback Riding: 8
Dueling: 7
OVERALL RATING: 7

Her strength is just enough to get her by. She can take on a great
amount of people, but that comes after you've done alot of tweaking on
her strength stats.
Her defensive skills aren't that great, and she always seems to be sent
flying off by enemy attacks. She's not one to take damage the greatest
either.
Her speed is her main thing. Use it to your advantage.
Her overall technique is great. With significant practice with this
girl and she'll be more than a cute face.
While her normal attacking combo is great, the rest of her normal
attacks seem to be just for show. Granted they're cute like her running
attack, but cuteness doesn't exist on the battlefield.
Her charge attacks are her by far what kills the enemy. All of her
charge attacks are damaging and useful, keeping enemies at bay from a
distance, to destroying any that get close.
Her musou attack is very good, but it takes some time to fully get use
to and then be able to fully utilize it to it's full advantage.
On a horse she is a force to be reckoned with. Attacking on a horse
could sometimes save your butt from a sticky situation.
Overall she's a very decent character to use. If you put the time in
to learn her pros and cons then you'll be able to take on armies with
this girl without probs.

- Well here's the lowdown on her suits......

- 1st suit - default
- 2nd suit - same as first, but with dark red and white colors
- 3rd suit - not much of a change from the 1st....just has shorter
sleeves and her hair in a bun
- 4th suit - same 3rd....another color.....
- 5th suit - Her DW3 suit
- 6th suit - same as 5th....different colors...

beat that stupid Bridge Melee challenge! I'm gonna have ulcers trying
to beat this darn challenge!
