Intro

Hey welcome the Xereth's guide to the coolest and my favorite character in
the Dynasty Warriors series Lu Xun. Here is where you will find out how to
get him, the best ways to gain experience and make Lu Xun the best character
in the series.

Lu Xun History
*****************************************************************************

Born 183 Died 245

A very thoughtful young man in Wu history. Lu Xun became a general under
Sun Ce and later marrying his daughter became and brilliant tacticianer
along those of Zhou Yu. Upon getting a reward from Sun Quan he became
Supreme Commander of the Wu Forces at the battle of Yi Ling. Claiming victory
over Liu Bei's Shu forces.

Game History
*****************************************************************************

Lu Xun has appeared in Dynasty Warriors 2 and 3. In Dynasty Warriors 2 Lu Xun
was the under dog to others in the game. Not playing a crucial role to that
of others. Voice acting not bad at all. Graphics wise could have been better.
But what can you expect to one of the first games out for the Playstation 2.
In 3 Lu Xun became an important character. Playing a better part in the series.
Kicking ass through and through. Having an istant death move for your fourth
weapon helped alot. (those pitiful fools didnt see it coming at all) Ok so
instant killing was alot of help. What can I say to each his own. Looks
improved alot in 3 and voice acting as well. In 4 he is better the ever. Still
claiming the cool approach and everything Lu Xun is at the top of his game
here in 4. Looks cool and the added models add for diffrent looks other than
the same look through the last 2 games. Voice acting isnt to bad at all.
Prefer 3's though. So there is his history through 3 games and maybe if there
is a 5 (which i hope so) some improvments are still there. Nothing is perfect.

How to get him
*****************************************************************************

This isnt to hard for you to get Lu Xun. Its simple, play as one Wu character
of your choice out of the first 3 Wu generals which are Sun Jian, Huang Gai,
and Sun Shang Xiang. I went with Sun Jian. He uses a sword and is not that bad
at all. So whoever you choose play as them until you get to chapter four. Once
completing that chapter it will you have 2 new generals. Which are Lu Xun and
Lu Meng. So you can finish it up with the person your playing as now and than
go back. (I dont think so. Yes now they are all doomed I have the man now) Ok
done jumping for joy here. So now you can play as Lu Xun all the time. So on
to playing now.

Weapons, experience, items, orbs, harness, and his last weapon
*****************************************************************************

Weapons

Lu Xun through out the series uses two swords in the game. So here is the
stages through out the game that Lu Xun's weapon increases.

 Currently Weapon starts out at level one. With gaining experiene by killing
 Generals on any map however many there are. Starting out you will be at the
 Yellow Turban Rebellion. Generals there give out low experience around that
 of 102 experience. You can gain 2, 4, 8, and so on when you get a special
 move off on a general. Once along in the game say at the battle of Hu Lao
 Gate you will run into generals such as the Mighty Lu Bu. Which gives off
 tons experience for killing him. (thing is got to do it first, um good luck
 to those who try starting out) Lu Bu will ask for a duel. Say no unless you
 have played as Lu Xun about twice through then you will clean his clock on
 normal mode and gain great experience. So hang in there.

 There are three stages you will go through earning experience for your
weapon. Once at leave 3, you will have his second weapon, on his 6 his third
and once you reach level nine the ultimate fun begins to earn his elusive
fourth weapon. During level ups the weapon will get stronger by attack.

 Level 10
 Power +52
 Attacks 6

 Aquiring Lu Xun's Final Weapon

  Taking some patience and taking some time will be needed in gaining his
final weapon. You can either go to free mode under Hard or going through
Musou Mode to aquire his weapon either way which does not matter. I suggest
going through free mode in which just going to the battle is easier. So go to
stages and choose the Battle of Yi Ling. This is where Lu Xun is Supreme
Commander of the Wu army. Start out the battle by protecting Zhu Ran until the
fire attack is commenced. Upon that go to the stone maze. (Save before going
in just in case something happens so you dont have to do this again if you die
in battle) So go through the maze once exiting the maze a message will appear
(You have aquired your final Weapon) Now all will bow down before your might!
Save after the message. (just in case, you never know what can happen) Kill
the final general and power is yours. Make sure before doing this your weapon
is at level 9 and is maxed out completely. So there it is in a nut shell on
aquiring his final weapon.

 Items to use on Lu Xun or so I think is the best. But to each his own here
do what you like its just an idea.

 Harness Red Mare (Fastest horse what can I say)
 Orb Instant Death (at least Level 5 or better)
 Item Speed Scroll Level 10 (Fastest man on two feet)
 Item Tortoise Amulet Level 10 (Defense cant be two safe)
 Item Tiger Amulet Level 10 (Best way to beat up the other chinese rif rafs)
 Item Peacock Urn Level 10 (Never can have enough HP)
 Item Dragon Amulet Level 10 (Got to have that box of Musou in the morning)

 Based on what I choose I do quite fine. But others have better choices or
prefrences but heck this is me and im just a lonely soldier boy.

Also the best way to aquire good levels on your items and and orbs are to set
the difficulty at normal or hard. Easy just gives you weakly items and doesnt
do you any good. Got to play hard for those hard to reach items. Just keep
hacking away at those officers.

Officer drop items list
******************************************************************************

Once killing an officer an item will appear where they fell in battle the
list below contains the items that may pop up. Which are added to the
character permenatly.

  Attack Boosters

  Bronze Sword Attack +1

  Iron Sword   Attack +2

  Silver Sword Attack +4

  Gold Sword   Attack +8

  Defense Boosters

  Footsoldier's Shield Defense +1

  Nobleman's Shield Defense +2

  General's Shield +4

  Emperor's Shield +8

  Also if none of the above show up a Treasure box will appear which may
contain several diffrent items which are equipable to your character

Ok so we have reached the end. It was fun. Still alot more to do. Still have
to kick some more butt in 4 and I have lots more generals to play as. So until
than im going to get a good nights rest and play some more in the morning. And
just maybe there will be another game to come my way after this one is over
with. Like Dynasy Tactics 2. Cant Wait!! So until than have fun and dont stay
up to later kicking Dynasy Warrior butt everywhere.
