I. Brief Histoy of Sun Ce
Sun Ce was Sun Jian’s eldest son and the older brother of Sun Quan, the first
Wu Emperor. Sun Ce was only seventeen years old when his father was killed in
battle against Liu Bei. Sun Ce stayed in the south and gathered a large
following of people. These men included Huang Gai, Cheng Pu, Han Dang, and
others that served under Sun Jian. Sun Ce also attracted many new talents such
as Lü Fan, Zhang Zhao and Zhang Hong. At this time, Yuan Shu was still the
major authorithy in the south, and Sun Ce went to see him in Shouchun to offer
his services.
Sun Ce was able to impress and win the loyalty of all that surrounded him by
displaying great bravery and skill in battle. He was also very proficient
in the management of civil officials and allocation of resources. Yuan Shu
often boasted about his new officer’s prowess but attributed all of Sun Ce's
victories to himself, which greatly annoyed Sun Ce and his men. Yuan Shu
however did not feel like giving Sun Ce a command of his own. Instead, he
appointed Sun Ce as Colonel Who Cherishes Righteousness and allowed him to
fight rebels and barbarians in Danyang.
Sun Ce, an accomplished military strategist, laid the foundation of the early
Kingdom of Wu, and paved the way for his younger brother Quan, who eventually
became the first Emperor of their country. Sun Ce was admired and loved by his
officers and attendants, and in many ways he carried the spirit of his father
Sun Jian with him through his work. After Sun Quan ascended the throne as
Emperor of Wu, Sun Ce was posthumously titled King of Changsha. Sun Ce died in
200, at 25.

III. Pros and Cons of Using Sun Ce
Pros:
-Fast
-Decent Musou attack
-Pretty well-rounded character
Cons:
-No strong point
-Hard to level up weapon
-Attacks are somewhat limited
Basically, Sun Ce is one of the best characters statistically, but one of the
hardest to level up physically. He is very fast, and his attacks allow for
numerable attacks in a row. However, when facing a crowd, he will have to take
them on one or two at a time. His attacks are sometimes hard to aim, and his
overall strength is somewhat low. Give him a try.

Attack: average
Maybe a bit below, but generally average
Life: average
Pretty good. He can withstand some serious hits before going down.
Musou: average
Okay. Nothing speacial here.
Defense: average
Good. This will stop Sun Ce from getting the bejeezus beaten out of him.
Reach: below average
Ugh. Not so good. Got to get in close to deal damage.
Crowd Clearing: average
Depends how skilled you are. Still, decent.
Speed: above average
Above and beyond the normal speed. Unbelievable with the Speedd Scroll.

S= Square
T= Triangle
ST- Flip kick. Opponent goes flying up.
SST- Rapid smash. Repetitive and dangerous, up to 7 attacks.
SSST: Blow away. Spins forward, damaging everyone he touches.
SSSST: Flip kick. Press again to jump up and smash your opponent to the ground.
SSSSST: Multi Smash. Continuous attacks.

VI. Level 10 Weapon
Name: Overlord
Attack: +54
Method: Defeat Yu Ji (the real one which drops the +4 shield) in under 3:00.
You can defeat the illusionary ones first, as long as its under 3:00. This is a
little tough, but can be done. As soon as you find the Yu Ji with the big life
bar, just keep attacking him over and over again with your best combos, or keep
attacking with SST move (square, square, Triangle). This has been known to not
work. The first time I attempted to unlock it, I beat Yu Ji in about 2:09, and
still the weapon did not appear. If this happens, just try it again. Usually
it will work, and if not, just keep trying. The main problem here is the
fake Yu Ji's and their Musou attacks. The Musou attacks not only take a chunk
of your life out, but also slows you down. To avoid getting Musou-ed, block as
soon as you see the sword light up. Or just run. The shadow army poses a small
threat, but nothing that running cant take care of. Keep your goal in mind,
and charge into victory.

VII. Level 11 Weapon
Name:Hierophant
Attack: +69
Method: Defeat the 5 fake Yu Ji's. One of them drops an axe, save it for now.
Then kill the real Yu Ji (high morale, longest life bar) . Yu Ji will
return. Wait for the second real Yu Ji in front of the Imperial Seal (from
a wooden box). Get the axe, then use the Imperial Seal musou to kill him. You
must be very quick, because he will run after about 15 seconds after he gets
hit. Save at this point. Finish the stage by defeating the third real Yu Ji,
who returns once more. Do not defeat other fake Yu Ji's. Also, there is about
a 5:00-5:10 time limit. After extensive training, here is my discovery:
Trial 1: 5:57
Failure
Trial 2: 4:56
Success
Trial 3: 6:09
Failure
Trial 4: 5:23
Failure
Trial 5: 4:39
Success
So, assume a 5 minute time limit. Use the strategy above, and you should be
well off. This is a very difficult task. Keep in mind that this must be on
the Exteme difficulty level, and the fake Yu Ji's are super-charged and
will not hesitate to go Musou on you. DO NOT LET THEM MUSOU YOU! The Musou
attack will usually kill you, and if that dosen't Yu Ji probably will. Also
watch for the Shadow Army; it is invincible and strong. There is no way to
destroy the shadow army, or I should say, I haven't found a way yet. Until
I do, make sure you avoid large groups of them. Good luck!

VIII. Orbs and Good Items for Sun Ce
Here is a list of items that I think fit Sun Ce very well. Remember, these
won't make you invincible, but it will allow you to win battles with realitive
ease.
Set 1
Harness: Red Hare
-Fastest horse, great selection for anyone
Orb: Lightning-Level: 4
-Increases crowd-clearing abilities, since his standard for it is low
Items:
Peacock Urn
-Life MAX up
Tiger Amulet
-Attack up
Master of Musou
-True Musou attack regardless of current life
Elixer
-Musou gauge fills faster
The balanced set. Makes for the overall Sun Ce, but with no particular
strengths or weaknesses.
Set 2
Harness: Elephant
-Slow, but powerful. Recommended for games with many enemies
Orb: Vorpal-Level 4
-Attack up, instant kills against soldiers, what more could you ask?
Items:
Tiger Amulet
-Attack up
Herbal Remedy
-Charge attack up
Master of Musou
-True Musou attack regardless of current life
Power Rune
-Attack increases, but lowers defense.
The attack-based set. Makes an attack oriented Sun Ce, ending up like a
psychotic Lu Bu incarnate. Damage is unbelievable. Weaker defense and life, so
watch it. Some people use a Peacock Urn instead of the Herbal Remedy,
but dazed characters will usually be completely annihilated by a charge
attack.
Set 3
Harness: Shadow
-Cant be dismounted by enemies, making it just plain cool
Orb:
Optional-Level 4
-It dosen't really matter.
Items:
Horned Helm
-Mounted attack increases
Cavalry Armor
-Mounted defense increases
Elixer
-Musou gauge fills faster
Optional/Peacock Urn
-dosen't really matter, recommend Peacock Urn
This is the horse set. With this set you can see your enemies die to your horse
while you are left high and...er...dry. This is also the most malleable of the
sets, since you can customize the orb and the last item. While discovering this
set, I found that a Peacock Urn works very well, and the orb is still all your
choice. You could also use Musou Armor and Vorpal Orb, with Red Hare if your
going for a ground attack and mounted attack even. Have fun with this one.
Set 4
Harness: Optonal
-None is essential to this set, but its up to you
Orb: Vorpal-Level 4
-Attack up, instant kills against soldiers, what more could you ask?
Items:
Peacock Urn
-Life MAX up
Tiger Amulet
-Attack up
Tortoise Amulet
-Defense up
Elixer
-Musou gauge fills faster
This is the best Sun Ce if you have a high Musou and decent everything else. His
attacks are devastating, he can take excessive amounts of hits, he can unleash
his Musou Attack constantly, and officers get cut down in 5-7 hits. This is one
of the best Sun Ces possible, and us ethis on your way to leveling him up.
