This guide is essentially the same information for monsters that can be
found in my Appendix file (called 2/2 at Gamefaqs), but the only information
on monsters shown are the locations you can find them.
If you are looking for monster drops, those are present in a couple of
guides at Gamefaqs (including my own). If you are looking for monster HP and
other stats, those are also present in a couple of guides at Gamefaqs as
well, although not in my Appendix. There is no way for me personally to
check and confirm the stats myself, so I did not feel like copying them from
a web site or the Bradgygames guide with no way to confirm them. My
apologies.
This guide has every single area, floor, and locale that I have found a
monster at in all 10 of my playthroughs of the Japanese and North American
versions of the game. There may be a few more spots to fight monsters at,
but this should suffice. I hope this helps you find that elusive monster you
can't seem to find.
Most bosses are not included, due to having to fight them. There are 2
bosses here though, because the fight with them is optional. You can fight
them later on at another area, so you should be able to still get them.
If you do not know where a place is, please refer to a walkthrough.
This text file is for all intents and purposes a quick reference guide to
finding an enemy and nothing more.
If you want to find a specific monster, simply press control+f on your
keyboard to bring up the 'search/find' menu, then type in either the
monster's name as it appears in the game, or enter the number of the monster
you are looking for as it would show up in the Defeated Monster List screen.
This guide has nothing to do with the recruitable monsters that you can
see while walking around on the overworld. They do not count in the Defeated
Monster List, either.
Please note that a * before a location refers to the mixed-around
encounters after beating the Black Citadel.
