Game Overview/Controls
#######################################################################
Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi is the first dragonball game developed
by Spike, and offers a completely new take on Dragonball games. Moving
away from the traditional 2D and 3D fighting games of the past,
Tenkaichi offers a very original experience.
Warriors from the series battle it out in completely three dimensional
environments, allowing the player to fly freely throughout the stage,
and destroy various objects in the landscape.
Another change in the game is the decision to go back to the system
seen in older dragonball games on PSX and SNES, allowing the player to
choose specific character forms, as opposed to the more recent system
of In-Game Transformation seen in the Budokai games developed by Dimps.
The learning curve of the game is also a bit steeper than previous
dragonball games, but it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to learn.
Spending 5 minutes looking through the manual or going through the
tutorial will save you a lot of frustration in the long run.
Budokai Tenkaichi is a very good representative of actual battles in
the series, allowing a suprising amount of freedom for a fighting game,
and a fun, challenging game to play alone or with friends.

Battle Terminology
=======================================================================
Terms that you'll see in the walkthrough, or in the game.
Favorite Technique- Support moves that can boost a character's stats,
create a shield, or hinder the enemy in someway.
Finishing Move- A powerful attacking technique. Most signiture moves
can be found in this category.
Super Finishing Move- An incredibly powerful attack, in a competitive
fight, this should only be used in times of desperation. This attack
can do tons of damage, but is rather hard to initiate and use, compared
to finishing moves.
Max Power Mode- If a character has at least 1 favorite technique Orb
filled, they can power beyond their yellow ki bar, you can continue to
power up into a light blue zone. Upon reaching your max, you will be
given a small amount of time at max power, allowing you to fire your
super finishing move. Once you use anytype of finishing move, the limit
is automatically reached.

Part III- Walkthrough
#######################################################################
This section begins with the first four default battle gates in the
order they appear, then the unlockables, in the order they appear in on
the menu screen. Note: The Frieza saga all took place on Namek, that's
why there is no stage listed there.
=======================================================================
Saiyan Saga
=======================================================================
Battle 1
Match Up: Goku vs Raditz
Stage: Earth Wasteland
Requirements: Survive Until Time Runs Out!
Strategy: Not a very hard battle, just keep close to Raditz to prevent
him from using any major attacks, and keep using melee combos. Once you
build up enough ki, you can knock him back, and use a kamehameha.
Special Z-Items: Character Illustrations
Battle 2
Match Up: Piccolo vs Raditz
Stage: Earth Wasteland
Requirements: Defeat the enemy using the Special Beam Cannon!
Strategy: To start off, you should fire a destructive wave, knocking
Raditz to the ground, then move in close, and use the same strategy as
you did with Goku. Once his health bar has turned yellow, use a charged
melee attack to send him flying away. You ki should be about full now,
so just let loose with the cannon and you should have an easy win.
Special Z-items: Raditz
Battle 3
Match Up: Piccolo vs Great Ape (Oozaru)
Stage: Earth Wasteland
Requirements: Secure Victory with Swift Attacks!
Strategy: As soon as the fight starts, hit the monkey with a
destructive wave. Once the ape is down, start charging up for another
few strikes of the DW. Keep firing, charging and firing again. Melee
attacks are next to useless here, but if he gets too close, used a
charged punch or kick to create some distance. Blast him til he stops
moving.
Special Z-items: None
Battle 4
Match Up: Kid Gohan vs Piccolo
Stage: Earth Wasteland
Requirements: Survive Until Time Runs Out!
Strategy: Another easy survival match. Just keep close and use melee
moves, no need to let up really. If only they were all this easy..
Special Z-items: None
Battle 5
Match Up: Yamcha vs Krillin
Stage: Kami's Lookout
Requirements: Secure Victory with Swift Attacks!
Strategy: A little sparring session between the turtle students.. Just
don't let Krillin build up too much ki, or he'll blow you to bits. Stay
close with some melee attacks, but keep in mind that Yamcha doesn't
need much ki to fire a kamehameha. If Krillin somehow gets away from
you, don't hesistate to blast him. On a side note, there is a
dragonball located inside the main temple on the lookout. Destroy it to
grab the dragonball. The best way to do this, is to position it between
you and your opponent, then launch your main finishing move to blow it
up.
Special Z-items: Z-item fusion
Battle 6
Match Up: Krillin vs Yamcha
Stage: Kami's Lookout
Requirements: Secure Victory with Swift Attacks!
Strategy: Now the tables have turned, and you've got control of the
mighty midget. Basically, use the same strategy you did with Yamcha,
but beware of Yamcha's wolf fang fist. If he activates it, try to press
L2+X immediately, so that you can go into burst mode with him. Twirl
the sticks to turn his attack into your advantage. Other than that,
just wail on him with the usual attacks. On a side note, there is a
dragonball located inside the main temple on the lookout. Destroy it to
grab the dragonball. The best way to do this, is to position it between
you and your opponent, then launch your main finishing move to blow it
up.
Special Z-items: Z-item Fusion
Battle 7
Match Up: Chiaotzu vs Tien
Stage: Kami's Lookout
Requirements: Secure Victory with Swift Attacks!
Strategy: Once you grab control of Chiaotzu, rush for a bunch of melee
attacks. It wont take long to see that Chiaotzu's strong point is
speed. Take advantage of this by using a lot of charged attacks, the
chase after and start over. Once you have enough ki, feel free to use
either of clown boy's finishing moves. Try your best to avoid any of
Tien's ki attacks, because they tend to hurt, a lot. On a side note,
there is a dragonball located inside the main temple on the lookout.
Destroy it to grab the dragonball. The best way to do this, is to
position it between you and your opponent, then launch your main
finishing move to blow it up.
Battle 8
Match Up: Tien vs Chiaotzu
Stage: Kami's Lookout
Requirements: Secure Victory with Swift Attacks!
Strategy: Use almost exclusively melee attacks here. Chiaotzu seems to
enjoy jetting off to the edge of the area to charge, and then letting
loose with a bunch of finishing moves. Avoid this by staying on his
tail at all times, and keeping close so that he can't fire. In the
event that he does get away, try to match his finishing moves with one
of your own. If you can manage to start a dodonpa struggle, you can
overpower him for added damage. On a side note, there is a dragonball
located inside the main temple on the lookout. Destroy it to grab the
dragonball. The best way to do this, is to position it between you and
your opponent, then launch your main finishing move to blow it up.
Special Z-items: Z-item Fusion
Battle 9
Match Up: Tien vs Saibaman
Stage: Earth Wasteland
Requirements: Defeat the Opponent Within the Time Limit!
Strategy: Both whip and stomp him. Whomp him. Don't even bother taking
time to charge or fire ki blasts. Get up close and personal and kick
his @$$. If he does get away, watch out for his finishing moves, since
they do a suprising amount of damage. High speed rush should be guarded
against the same was as Yamcha's Wolf Fang Fist (Use L2+X to go into
burst mode) If you do find yourself going into yellow health for some
reason, get some space between you, and start sending finishing moves
his way. A couple dodonpas should give you the win.
Special Z-items: None
Battle 10 Match Up: Yamcha vs Saibaman
Stage: Earth Wasteland
Requirements: Defeat the Opponent using the Kamehameha!
Strategy: Same as with Tien only this time, when the little guy gets
into the yellow health range, back off and fire a kamehameha his way.
If he doesn't die, do it again til he finally falls.
Special Z-items: None
Battle 11
Match Up: Krillin vs Saibaman
Stage: Earth Wasteland
Requirement: Defeat Your Opponent With All Your Might!
Strategy: Basically the same as with Tien. Attack melee style, and
beware of his finishing moves. If he does somehow gain a lead on you,
back off and start using your own finishing moves.
Special Z-items: Saibaman (if you did all 3 fights here)
Battle 12
Match Up: Krillin vs Nappa
Stage: Earth Wasteland
Requirement: Survive Until Time Runs Out!
Strategy: The first mildly charging survival fight... which means RUN
LIKE HELL! Get up in the air and get moving, because Nappa will be
firing beams and chasing after you in an instant. You should only stop
if you have enough ki to knock him back with a kamehameha. If he does
manage to get close, block his initial hits, then counter with a
charged melee smash.
Special Z-items: None
Battle 13
Match Up Chiaotzu vs Nappa
Stage: Earth Wasteland
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent with Farewell, Mr. Tien
Strategy: This is the first fight you'll have to finish with a super
finishing move. Start off by rushing in on Nappa. Luckily, he seems to
have lost some of his ridiculous power during his fight with Krillin.
Beat him with melee attacks as you gather ki, then fire dodonpas his
way. Once he reaches yellow range health, back FAR away from him. Go
into some far corner and charge you ki bar, all the way until the blue
bar flashes "MAX". Once it does, make your way back towards Nappa. When
you reach a good range, activate the move to go flying at him, and end
the match.
Special Z-items: None
Battle 14
Match Up: Tien vs Nappa
Stage: Earth Wasteland
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent with Ki Blast Cannon!
Strategy: Same as with Chiaotzu, only don't kill yourself. Use charged
melee, and mix in some dodonpas here and there. Once he's in yellow
health, back off and charge up for ki blast cannon. Fire as many times
as nessecary to win.
Special Z-items: None
Battle 15
Match Up: Kid Gohan vs Nappa
Stage: Earth Wasteland
Requirement: Survive Until Time Runs Out!
Strategy: Well, the freakish strength from his fight with Krillin has
returned, and Nappa is ready to stomp you out. Quickly go in and use a
charged melee combo, then take to running. Fly a couple laps around the
area, only stopping to fire the full power energy ball at Nappa.
Special Z-items: None
Battle 16
Match Up: Goku vs Nappa
Stage: Earth Wasteland
Requirement: Defeat Enemy with Kaioken Attack within Time Limit!
Strategy: Not a very hard one.. just kick the hell out of Nappa, should
be easy enough. Once you get him to yellow health, make sure you have
two favorite technique orbs, then use the Kaioken, followed immediately
by the Kaioken Attack for the win.
Special Z-Items: Nappa
Battle 17
Match Up: Goku vs Vegeta (Scouter)
Stage: Earth Rocky Area
Requirement: Defeat Opponent with Kamehameha
Strategy: A pretty easy fight, as long as you know how to fight (which
you should by now). You can help yourself out by using kaioken, as it
will boost the strength of your attacks, and you defense and speed.
Special Z-Items: Scouter
Battle 18
Match Up: Goku vs Great Ape (Oozaru) Vegeta
Stage: Earth Rocky Area
Requirement: Survive Until Time Runs Out!
Strategy: Oh my god. That's all that can describe this fight. First
off, fire a kamehameha off the start of the match, no matter what the
case. Then GET UP IN THE AIR AND START RUNNING. Go charge some where,
and wait for him to come at you. Under no circumstance should you
attack him before he does you. If he gets close to you, try and use a
charge combo, but don't expect much. You have to try and use your
kamehamehas to keep him as a distance, while running at the same time.
That's pretty much all I can say, I find this to be the hardest fight
in any of the Z-Battle Gates.
Special Z-items: None
Battle 19
Match Up: Great Ape (Oozaru) vs Greate Ape (Oozaru) Vegeta
Stage: Earth Rocky Area
Requirements: Defeat Your Opponent With All Your Might!
Strategy: This one is all about Finishing Moves. Vegeta will have you
out classed in speed, attack, defense and basically everything you can
think of. What you need to do is get as far away as possible, then just
start charging up, and using gigantic rock throw, over and over. If you
get a chance, use your super finisher as well. Vegeta will give out
rather easily.
Special Z-items: None
Battle 20
Match Up: Great Ape (Oozaru) vs Vegeta (Scouter)
Stage: Earth Rocky Area
Requirements: Defeat the Opponent Withing the Time Limit!
Strategy: Wail on him. Use whatever you want, just be careful with some
of his finishing moves, because if you get hit too much, they can cause
some trouble.
Special Z-items: A Final. Lonesome Battle (Upon 100% completetion of
Saiyan Saga)
=======================================================================
Frieza Saga
=======================================================================
Battle 1
Match Up: Kid Gohan vs Dodoria
Requirements: Survive Until Time Runs Out!
Strategy: Honestly, this is one of the easiest survival fights. You can
just fight him hand to hand, and you'll make it through. Mix in some
charged melee attacks, since he'll have to kill time by rushing all the
way back to you. If you just fight him normally, you'll probably have
more health then him when the fight is over.
Special Z-items: None
Battle 2
Match Up: Krillin vs Dodoria
Requirement: Survive Until Time Runs Out!
Strategy: Just like with Gohan, kick the crap out of him. Fight him
like you would any other enemy, since he's not stronger than anyone
you've fought before.
Special Z-items: None
Battle 3
Match Up: Vegeta vs Dodoria
Requirement: Defeat Your Opponent With All Your Might!
Strategy: Interestingly enough, Dodoria seems to have picked up some
health and packs a little bit harder of a punch than he did against
Gohan and Krillin. It's best to guard right at the start of the fight,
since he'll more than likely launch a super mouth blast your way.
Because his ki starts so high, he'll probably use a couple of those in
the beginning, so be catious rushing in on him. Once he's low on ki,
feel free to fight him however you want. Be sure to use Vegeta's normal
ki blasts, since he can fire so fast, and the galic gun.
Special Z-items: Dodoria, Vegeta (fusion capsule)
Battle 4
Match Up: Vegeta vs Zarbon
Requirement: Defeat Your Opponent with All Your Might!
Strategy: Nothing too hard, just beat him up how ever you choose. Watch
out for his High Speed Rush though, he seems to enjoy using it. Use the
same method as before to counter it (L2+X)
Special Z-Items: Zarbon
Battle 5
Match Up: Vegeta vs Zarbon (Post Transformation)
Requirement: Defeat Your Opponent With All Your Might!
Strategy: Well, Zarbon hasn't just gotten a whole lot uglier, he's
stronger now too. Physical attacks wont do to much to him, so try to
keep your distance and use galic gun, along with some normal ki blasts.
If he does manage to get close, don't be afraid to knock him away with
some charged melee attacks. He likes to use High Power Rush, but once
again, just counter with L2+X.
Special Z-Items: Zarbon (Post Transformation)
Battle 6
Match Up: Kid Gohan vs Guldo
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent Within The Time Limit!
Strategy: Wow, a VERY easy fight. Knock him around whatever way you
want here. Only way you would lose would be if he ran away. He's a fast
little guy, so just make sure to keep him at medium to close range.
Special Z-items: None
Battle 7
Match Up: Krillin vs Guldo
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent Within The Time Limit!
Strategy: See above.
Special Z-items: None
Battle 8
Match Up: Chaiotzu vs Guldo
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent With All Your Might!
Strategy: For the record, I have no idea why this fight is even in the
game. Anyway, as Guldo will comment on after you beat him, Chiaotzu and
Guldo are very similar characters. You're around the same speed, so
he'll have some trouble running away from you. You can just keep at a
medium distance, and start firing away with finishing moves. Anyway you
choose, this fight is rather easy.
Special Z-Items: Guldo
Battle 9
Match Up: Vegeta vs Recoome
Requirement: Survive Until Time Runs Out!
Strategy: Fight him like a normal enemy. BUT BE CAREFUL OF HIS ERASER
GUN! It will take off 15,000 damage. Get hit by it more than once and
you'll be in trouble. Use galic gun to keep him at a distance, and if
you run low on health, just start running away.
Special Z-items: None
Battle 10: Kid Gohan vs Recoome
Requirement: Survive Until Time Runs Out!
Strategy: Not to tough of a fight, just fight him like you would anyone
else. Whenever you get a chance, try to knock him away with a charged
melee attack or grab, and send a ki blast/finishing move after him. Be
careful of his finishing moves though, they'll take a large chunk of
health from you.
Special Z-items: None
Battle 11
Match Up: Goku vs Recoome
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent Using Kaioken Attack!
Strategy: Knock him around, using whatever method you want. But still
be careful when he uses Eraser Gun, it still hurts quite a bit. Once
you have him down to yellow health, activate the kaioken as soon as
you're able. Once in kaioken, use the kaioken attack immediately.
Repeat until he's over with.
Special Z-items: Recoome
Battle 12
Match Up: Goku vs Burter
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent using Kaioken Attack!
Strategy: Beat him up just like Recoome, knocking him down to yellow
health just before using the Kaioken Attack. He's a bit faster than you
and Recoome, but thank fully his finishing moves are weaker as well
Special Z-items: Burter
Battle 13
Match Up: Goku vs Captain Ginyu
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent with All Your Might!
Strategy: The fight against Ginyu isn't any harder than the two before.
Beat him down however you wish, and try not to get hit with any
finishing moves. Personally I used kaioken against him, just to make
things a bit quicker.
Special Z-items: Captain Ginyu
Battle 14
Match Up: Vegeta vs Jeice
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent With All Your Might!
Strategy: Oh man, teach this pretty boy a lesson. Beat him around
however you like, and be sure to use Galic Gun for about 9,000 damage.
A very easy fight, as it should be.
Special Z-items: Jeice
Battle 15
Match Up: Kid Gohan vs Goku (Ginyu bodyswapped)
Requirement: Defeat the Enemy Within the Time Limit!
Strategy: Really nothing to say here, just beat him down. Melee attacks
wont do to much damage, but your Full Power Energy Ball should do
plenty. Just use that to blow him away.
Special Z-Items: None
Battle 16
Match Up: Krillin vs Goku (Ginyu bodyswapped)
Requirement: Defeat the Enemy Within the Time Limit!
Strategy: Just like with Gohan, beat him senseless. Your kamehameha
won't do as much damage as Gohan's energy ball, but it will suffice.
Just keep it up til Ginyu falls.
Special Z-Items: None
Battle 17
Match Up: Vegeta vs Goku (Ginyu bodyswapped)
Requirement: Defeat the Enemy within the Time Limit!
Strategy: Ginyu has gotten a lot more offensive than he was before, and
he'll likely try to knock you around using melee and stun attacks.
Luckily, they don't hurt much. Beat him up and use your Galic Gun to do
massive damage.
Special Z-items: None
Battle 18
Match Up: Vegeta vs Frieza (1st Form)
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent with All Your Might!
Strategy: This one can go either way, depending on how good you are at
countering high speed rush attacks, and dodging finishing moves. You'll
probably want to stay close to Frieza, using melee attacks to avoid his
death beam and high speed rush. As long as you can avoid those attacks,
you'll be fine.
Special Z-Items: None
Battle 19
Match Up: Kid Gohan vs Frieza (2nd Form)
Requirement: Defeat the Enemy within the Time Limit!
Strategy: As is usually the case with Kid Gohan, melee attacks wont be
too effective here. Just use a charged melee or grab move to knock him
away, then start firing your Full Power Energy Ball. It should do
10,200 damage per hit, and basically tear Frieza to shreads. Keep it up
until you get the win.
Special Z-Items: None
Battle 20
Match Up: Krillin vs Frieza (2nd Form)
Requirement: Survive Until Time Runs Out!
Strategy: Run! No really, you'll need to. Knock him away initially,
then use your kamehameha to make sure he doesn't get close again. If he
does, try to knock him away again, and start running again.
Special Z-items: None
Battle 21
Match Up: Piccolo vs Frieza (2nd Form)
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent with All Your Might!
Strategy: Not too hard of a fight. You should probably use destructive
wave from the start of the fight, and then rush in for some melee
moves. Use a mix of finishing moves and melee attacks to get the win.
Special Z-items: Frieza (2nd Form)
Battle 22
Match Up: Kid gohan vs Frieza (3rd Form)
Requirement: Survive Until Time Runs Out!
Strategy: First off, BEWARE OF HIS KI BLASTS. They are VERY fast and
will likely rip you up. His melee attacks are almost as bad. Best thing
is to just play keep away, and fly a couple laps around the area. DO
NOT LET HIM USE HIS SUPER FINISHER. You'll get hit.. just try not to
get hit hard.
Special Z-items: None
Battle 23
Match Up: Piccolo vs Frieza (3rd Form)
Requirements: Survive Until Time Runs Out!
Strategy: Again, watch out for the ki blasts. Piccolo is a bit stronger
than Gohan, so if Frieza gets close, feel free to knock him away with a
charged melee move, or just beat him down for a little while. Keep him
at a range with destructive wave.
Special Z-items: Frieza (3rd Form)
Battle 24
Match Up: Vegeta vs Frieza (Final Form)
Requirement: Survive Until Time Runs Out!
Strategy: Man, this fight is a lot easier than you'd expect, coming
after the last two fights. Just fight him like a normal enemy. He
probably wont use death beam, but watch for it anyway. If he uses his
favorite technique "Full Power" run like hell, because death ball is
coming, and it will do about 2/3 of your health in damage.
Special Z-items: Hatred of Saiyans, Frieza (Final Form)
Battle 25
Match Up: Goku vs Frieza (Final Form)
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent Using Spirit Bomb!
Strategy: This fight is quite similar to the one before it, in terms of
how you should attack and how Frieza will act. However, you'll be
actually be able to hurt him this time.. Once you get him down to
yellow range health. Back FAR away, and start charging. As soon as you
hit Max Power Mode, wait and see if Frieza is standing still. Once he
is, launch the spirit bomb.
Battle 26
Match Up: Super Saiyan Goku vs Frieza (Final Form)
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent With All Your Might!
Strategy: The epitome of bad assery. At least it was back when Goku was
the only super saiyan. Take Frieza to school however you wish, and make
sure you do it hard. Still watch out for his death beam though, he can
still hurt you a bit.
Special Z-Items: Super Saiyan Goku
Battle 27
Match Up: Super Saiyan Goku vs Frieza (100% Final Form)
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent Using Super Kamehameha!
Strategy: Beat him down like you did before, only this time, calm it
down a bit once you get him to yellow ranged health. He's gotten a bit
better, and may use his destructo discs to do a heafty little spot of
damage. Once he's in yellow range, fire away with one or two super
kamehamehas to end this fight, and the battle gate.
Special Z-Items:
=======================================================================
Andriod Saga
=======================================================================
Battle 1
Match Up: Super Saiyan Trunks (w/ Sword) vs Mecha Frieza
Stage: Rocky Earth Area
Requirement: Defeat the opponent within the time limit using Shining
Sword Attack!
Strategy: Watch out for a death beam/ball to start off the match, they
sting quite a bit. Sadly, this fight isn't as easy as it was for the
real Trunks, and you'll have a bit of trouble with Frieza, ecspecially
with his finishing moves. Try to stay close to him, and use the sword
for some nice combos, and charge smash him. When you get the chance,
use either finish buster or burning attack for some added pop. Once
he's in yellow health, charge up and use your finisher
Special Z-Items: Super Saiyan Trunks (w/ Sword)
Battle 2
Match Up: Yamcha vs Andriod #20
Stage: Earth Wasteland
Requirement: Survive Until Time Runs Out!
Strategy: Not too tough right here. What you need to do first is hit
Gero with a full charged melee attack, then fly out of the little
passage way. Once you're out in the open, just play keep away, and use
kamehameha's to keep him at a distance.
Special Z-Items:
Battle 3
Match Up: Super Saiyan Goku vs Andriod #19
Requirement: Survive Until Time Runs Out!
Strategy: Andriod #19 is one annoying dude.. You'll probably want to
block the first moment of the match, since there's a good chance that a
finishing move will be headed your way. After that, get close to him
and start punching. Go melee all the way here, never letting up for a
second. If you let him get away, he'll start with high powered rush and
his full power energy wave, both of which can devistate you. Best to
keep it to hand to hand combat, until time is up.
Special Z-Items: None
Battle 4
Match Up: Super Saiyan Vegeta vs Andriod #19
Stage: Earth Wasteland
Requirement: Defeat the enemy using Big Bang Attack!
Strategy: Easy/10. Just kick his sorry little wanna be mime arse. When
he's down to yellow health, charge up and use your ultimate. Still
watch out for his High Power Rush and Energy Wave though.
Special Z-Items: Andriod #19
Battle 5
Match Up: Piccolo vs Andriod #20
Stage: Earth Rocky Area
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent With All Your Might!
Strategy: Block! He's about to hit you with a full power energy wave.
If he doesn't fire, consider yourself lucky. Anyway, this one shouldn't
be to hard, just whoop on him real nice like.
Special Z-Items: Andriod #20
Battle 6
Match Up: Super Saiyan Vegeta vs Andriod #18
Stage: Mountain Road
Requirement: Survive Until Time Runs Out!
Strategy: This one isn't as tough as you'd might think. If you're good
enough, you can just fight her like any normal enemy, and have no
trouble at all. If not, then just use charged melee attacks and
finishing moves to keep her at bay, while you run laps aroudn the area.
Special Z-Items: Andriod #18, Super Saiyan Vegeta
Battle 7
Match Up: Piccolo vs Cell (1st Form)
Stage: City Ruins
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent With All Your Might!
Strategy: Another fairly easy fight for Piccolo. Just beat up on cell
like you would anybody else, mixing finishing moves and melee attacks.
Special Z-Items: None
Battle 8
Match Up: Super Saiyan Trunks (Fighting)
Stage: Hyperbolic Time Chamber
Requirement: Secure Victory with Swift Attacks!
Strategy: Time to teach Daddy a lesson. Trunks's physical attacks can
destroy Vegeta, doing thousands of damage points in every combo. Just
smack him all around the chamber, and watch out for his finishing
moves. Burning Attack can do upwards of 13k damage, so use it whenever
you can.
Special Z-Items: Super Saiyan Trunks, Z-Items
Battle 9
Match Up: Piccolo vs Andriod #17
Stage: Islands
Requirement: Defeat the Enemy Using Hellzone Grenade!
Strategy: #17 isn't exactly a slouch, but he shouldn't give you too
much trouble. His ki bar is full from the start of the match, so watch
out for a finishing move right at the word fight. Melee attacks wont
work too much, but feel free to use them to pummel #17. Use destructive
wave frequently, and if you find yourself with some spare ki, charge
and use the Special Beam Cannon. Once he's down to yellow health,
charge and use your ultimate.
Special Z-Items: Andriod #17
Battle 10
Match Up: Andriod #16 vs Cell (1st Form)
Stage: Islands
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent with All Your Might!
Strategy: #16's best point is his physical attacks, so get right to it.
Just dash up close and melee till you can't anymore. Cell should be no
trouble.
Special Z-Items: Andriod #17 (fusion), Andriod #16
Battle 11
Match Up: Tien vs Cell (2nd Form)
Stage: Islands
Requirement: Defeat the Enemy Using Neo Ki Blast Cannon!
Strategy: Oh boy... Tien is way overmatched here, and Cell isn't about
to let you forget it. Biggest things to watch out for are Cell's health
drain attacks. Nothing will piss you off more than having Cell all the
way down to yellow, prime for the killing, only for him to get back to
green using YOUR health. Unless you're very confident in your melee
attacking ability, I suggest that you stay back and spam finishing
moves in Cell's direction. It may be shameless, but you're there to
win, not to look pretty, right? Once Cell is in the yellow range, let
loose with your Super Finisher asap.
Special Z-Items: Super Saiyan (fusion)
Battle 12
Match Up: Teen Gohan vs Goku
Stage: Hyperbolic Time Chamber
Requirement: Secure Victory with Swift Attacks!
Strategy: Don't go easy on the old man, give him everything you've got.
The method you pick here isn't all that important, since Goku doesn't
seem to be in the mood to fight back. Even so, beat him down quickly,
since he seems to be just fine with launching a spirit bomb your way if
he gets the chance.
Special Z-Items: Super Saiyan Teen Gohan
Battle 13
Match Up: Super Saiyan Super Vegeta vs Cell (2nd Form)
Stage: Islands
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent with All Your Might!
Strategy: Kick his ass. Nothing more nothing less. One of the easiest
fights in the game, and for good reason.
Special Z-Items: Cell (2nd Form)
Battle 14
Match Up: Super Saiyan Super Vegeta vs Super Trunks (Fighting)
Stage: Islands
Requirement: Secure Victory with Swift Attacks!
Strategy: Oh how the tides have turned. Now you'll get to whoop on
Trunks with Vegeta, and it's almost just as easy. Trunks wont be using
many finishing moves, so no need to be defensive. Both you melee
attacks and finishing moves will do hefty damage, so how you fight is
up to you.
Special Z-Items: None
Battle 15
Match Up: Super Saiyan Super Vegeta vs Cell (Perfect Form)
Stage: Islands
Requirement: Defeat the Enemy Using Final Flash!
Strategy: Well, this won't be all that fun. Cell is very strong. Very,
very strong. His finishing moves will do around 12k-14k damage, so be
constantly aware of any attack he might try to pull. I suggest that you
get in close, and go to work with your melee attacks, since distancing
yourself will only give him time to charge and fire finishers. Once
you've got him down to the LOWER PART of his yellow health, use the
Final Flash.
Special Z-Items: Super Saiyan Super Vegeta
Battle 16
Match Up: Super Saiyan Super Trunks vs Cell (Perfect Form)
Stage: Islands
Requirement: Survive Until Time Runs Out!
Strategy: Beat him up. All you need to do is get close to Cell, and use
a charged melee attack to send him flying over the horizon. Wait for
him to get back, then send him packing again. Wash, rinse, repeat for
60 seconds.
Z-Item: Cell Perfect Form
Battle 17
Match Up: Hercule vs Cell (Perfect Form)
Stage: Cell Games Arena
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent with All Your Might!
Strategy: Why this fight is in the game? I dunno. Why are you actually
supposed to beat Cell? I dunno. What I do know is, it's not as hard as
I'd expected. All you need to do is charge ki, and spam Present Bomb
like it's your only goal in life. 5 or 6 exploding presents later,
you'll be good to go.
Special Z-Items: Hercule
Battle 18
Match Up: Super Saiyan Goku vs Cell (Perfect Form)
Stage: cell Games Arena
Requirement: Defeat the Enemy using the Instantaneous Transmission
Kamehameha with in the Time Limit!
Strategy: Let me just say, this fight is not hard. I got a perfect on
Cell in 33 seconds, while replaying this fight, to write out this
strategy. Goku's physical attacks will absolutely pummel Cell, and his
super kamehameha will do 14k damage. Once he's in yellow, charge up and
use the Warp Kamehameha (Like the shortened name?)
Battle 19
Match Up: Super Saiyan Gohan vs Cell (Perfect Form)
Stage: Cell Games Arena
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent With All Your Might!
Strategy: This fight is almost the same as it was with Goku, only your
finishing moves won't have as much pop. Cell isn't too much trouble
though, just put him down.
Battle 20
Match Up: Super Saiyan Goku vs Cell Jr.
Stage: Cell Games Arena
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent with All Your Might!
Strategy: This is the 1st of 7 straight fights against Cell Jr.. bear
with me as I copy and paste the exact same strategy. Kick Cell jr
around the arena. His special beam cannon can hurt quite a bit, but it
shouldn't be a problem for the super saiyans. With Tien, Yamcha or
Krillin, try to use a lot of finishing moves to knock him around. With
the others, basically any method will be effective. Have fun killing
all of them.
Special Z-Items: Z-Item Fusion

Special Z-Items: Cell Jr.
Battle 28
Match Up: Super Saiyan 2 Teen Gohan vs Cell (Perfect Form)
Stage: Cell Games Arena
Requirement: Defeat the Enemy using Super Kamehameha!
Strategy: This fight isn't very hard at all... If you didn't figure it
out in the previous fight, Gohan is incredibly fast in this form. Just
use that speed to pummel Cell. careful not to get carried away though,
still gotta use the ultimate. When you get him to yellow health, you
can use Gohan's nifty favorite technique, power to the very limit to go
immediately into max power mode and use your ultimate.
Special Z-Items: None
Battle 29
Match Up: Super Saiyan Vegeta vs Perfect Cell (Perfect Form)
Stage: cell Games Arena
Requirement: Survive Until Time Runs Out!
Strategy: BLOCK! Death beam headed your way! After that, run away to
create some space. BEWARE OF SUPER KAMEHAMEHA/DEATH BEAM. Otherwise,
use charged melee attacks to knock Cell away, then use full power
energy wave to keep him at a distance. If he dragon dashes, and you
don't have enough ki to fire the full power energy wave, use explosive
wave to kill about 3 seconds off the clock.
Z-Items: None
Special Z-Items: None
Battle 30
Match Up: Super Saiyan 2 Teen Gohan vs Perfect Cell (Perfect Form)
Stage: Cell Games Arena
Requirement: Defeat the Enemy using Super Kamehameha!
Strategy: About the same as last time, only this time around, Cell has
picked up more health and a better death move. Still shouldn't matter,
just watch out for super kamehameha and death beam as you wittle away
at his health. Once he's down to yellow, use power up to the very
limit, or power into max power mode, and use the super kamehameha to
finish Cell for good.

=======================================================================
A Lonesome, Final Battle
=======================================================================
Battle 1
Match Up: Bardock vs. Dodoria
Stage: Earth Rocky Area
Requirements: Defeat your opponent with all your might!
Strategy: Start the battle off with a Full Power Energy Blast Volley
finishing move.
Immediately begin charging your ki, and once he gets up, you can just
rinse and
repeat. This is a fairly simple battle.
Special Z-Items: None
Battle 2
Match Up: Bardock vs. Frieza (1st Form)
Stage: Namek
Requirements: Defeat your opponent with all your might!
Strategy: Frieza proves to be more of a challenge than Dodoria. He is,
in fact, quite the aggressor. I recommend starting this fight off in
the same fashion as the previous, with a Full Power Energy Blast volley
finishing move, followed up with an immediate charging of your ki.
Frieza will be coming at you with both physical and energy attacks, but
you should be able to overcome them if you keep your distance and mix
things up with your finishing moves. One thing to watch out for is
Frieza likes to use the High Speed Rush, but just use a finishing move
before he gets to you, or side step to avoid this.
After the defeat of Frieza, it will "end the saga", but if you go back
in you will find one final battle to give you the 100% completion
achievement.
Battle 3
Match Up: Bardock vs. Goku
Stage: Namek
Requirements: Defeat your opponent with all your might!
Strategy: Time to test the boys abilities. Start this battle off with a
High Speed Rush, then begin to charge your ki. Goku will fight just as
aggressive as Frieza in the last battle, except he tends to use more
energy shots. Just stick to Goku, not giving him a chance to mount an
offensive with continuous High Speed rushes, and you'll have the battle
won in no time. For your efforts, you'll be rewarded the Kakarot<F>
potara.
Special Z-Items: Kakarot <F>

The Universe's Mightiest Warrior
=======================================================================
Battle 1
Match Up: Goku vs Cooler (Final Form)
Stage: Mountain Road
Requirements: Defeat the Opponent With All Your Might!
Strategy: A tough one to be sure. Mix your melee attacks with your
finishing moves to steadily wittle away at his health. Be careful not
to let him use Super Nova, as it will be devastaing to your health if
it hits. Use kaioken whenever you can for an added boost in power.

=======================================================================
The Legendary Super Saiyan
=======================================================================
Battle 1
Match Up: Super Saiyan Goku vs Broly (Legendary Super Saiyan)
Stage: Islands
Requirements: Defeat the Opponent With All Your Might!
Strategy: Most importantly here, DO NOT CHARGE BROLY. He can't be
stunned by normal melee attacks or ki blasts, so it would be like
running straight into a truck. What you should do is back off, and
start charging. Use your finishing moves as you see appropriate, and do
your best to keep him at a distance. If he does get close, use charged
melee attacks to knock him away again.
Special Z-Items: Broly
=======================================================================
Threat of the Galactic Warriors
=======================================================================
Battle 1
Match Up: Super Saiyan 2 Teen Gohan vs Bojack (Post Transformation)
Stage: City Ruins
Requirements: Defeat the Opponent With Super Kamehameha!
Strategy: If you've fought Broly, you'll find that Bojack is alot like
him. Melee attacks will be close to useless, so move away as fast as
possible and start spamming Masenko. Keep charging and firing until he
is red health. Yes, red. At this point he'll probably start coming
after you, so do you best to get away, and charge to max power. Fire
the super kamehameha as soon as he stands still.
Special Z-items: Galactic Warriors, Z-Item Fusion
=======================================================================
The Evil Monster Janemba
=======================================================================
Battle 1
Match Up: Super Saiyan Gogeta vs Janemba
Stage: Hyperbolic Time Chamber
Requirements: Defeat the Opponent Using Stardust Breaker!
Strategy: This fight is unusually hard, considering how it went in the
movie. At the start of the fight, you should quickly dash to your
right, since Janemba will most likely try to nail you with a quick
finishing move. Use charged melee attacks to knock Janemba away
whenever he gets close, then use Super Kamehameha to do some nice
damage. Once he is around red health, charge up and use the Stardust
Breaker. His finish moves tend to hurt, so you should watch out for
those as well.
Special Z-Items: People's Maliciousness, Z-Item Fusion
=======================================================================
The Revenge of Baby
=======================================================================
Battle 1
Match Up: Super Saiyan 4 Goku vs Baby Vegeta
Stage: Earth Rocky Area
Requirement: Defeat the Opponent With All Your Might!
Strategy: One of the two GT fights. And it's not a tough one either.
Goku is more than enough to stop Baby. Melee attacks will tear Baby up,
but then again, so will ki attacks. In general, this one is really
easy. If you're feeling confident enough, try to beat him with the 10x
Kamehameha for some style points. Baby has quite a bit of ki, but don't
worry about it, since he never seems to want to use it on a final
flash. There is no reason for you to lose this fight.
Special Z-Items: SS4 Goku's Fusion, SS4 Vegeta's Fusion
=======================================================================
The Ultimate Andriod
=======================================================================
Battle 1
Match Up: Super Saiyan 4 Goku vs Super 17
Stage: Mountain Road
Requirement: Defeat Your Opponent with x10 Kamehameha!
Strategy: Block! He'll most certainly start off the fight with one of
his annoying as hell finishing moves. After that, do as you please. He
really isn't all that hard, just watch out for his Hell Flash finishing
move. Once he's down to around yellow health, go to the edge of the
area, and charge to max power. Once he's standing still, fire the x10
Kamehameha.

Goku
=======================================================================
First appearing as a child in the popular TV-anime Dragonball, Goku
continues his leading role as an adult in the follow-up series Dragon
Ball Z.
Born on the Planet Vegeta, our hero began his life as the Saiyan
?Kakarot?. A low-class warrior by birth, the infant Kakarot, second son
of Bardock, was sent to Earth just before Planet Vegeta?s destruction.
After arriving on Earth, however, he met with an unexpected accident
which cost him his memory. He was found by a kindly old man named
Gohan, who took the oby into his care and raised him as his very own
son. It was Gohan who gave young Kakarot the name by which he is now
known ? ?Goku?.
Since his first encounter with Bulma and the ensuing quest to find the
seven magic Dragonballs, Goku has encountered many fierce opponents who
have pushed him to test his limits in both body and spirit. He has even
started a family with his wife, Chichi. As Goku has grown, however, so
have the stakes for which he fights. The fate of the entire universe
now rests on Goku?s shoulders as he battles increasingly powerful
adversaries such as Frieza, Cell, and Majin Buu.
Always willing to sacrifice himself for the greater good, Goku has felt
the sting of death two times, first in the battle against his brother
Raditz, and again during the explosive climax of the battle with Cell.
But not even death can stop Goku! Because of his heroic efforts, he is
allowed to continue his training in Other World until such time as he
can be wished back to life by the power of the Dragonballs.
After defeating the evil Kid Buu and bringing peace back to the
universe, Goku departed with the reincarnated form of Buu, the young
boy Uub, in order to train him. Together, Goku and Uub can continue to
push their strength to the edge of their limits and beyond.
Later, in Dragonball GT, Goku is returned to his boyhood form by the
Black Star Dragonballs, and must embark on a journey that spans the
universe in order to save the Earth.
Since first transforming into a legendary Super Saiyan during the
ferocious battle against Frieza on Planet Namek, Goku has been able to
push himself to ever-higher levels of power through intense training.
He has demonstrated these powers in battle, transforming into Super
Saiyan 2, Super Saiyan 3, and the ultimate Super Saiyan 4.
Among Goku?s favored special-techniques are the Kamehameha Wave, the
Spirit Bomb, Kaio-Ken, and Instant Transmission. He is also quite
adept at using the techniques of his friends, such as the Destructo
Disc and Solar Flare.
Goku?s greatest ? and perhaps only ? weakness is his inability to stand
up to his wife ChiChi, who constantly hounds him to quit his ?karate-
bum? lifestyle and get a real job.
Favorite Techniques
-Solar Flare
Cost: 2 Orbs
Notes: Blind the enemy when nearby and facing them, allowing for a
counter attack. Not all that useful, compared to after image or
explosive wave.
-Kaioken
Cost: 2 Orbs
Notes: Boosts speed, attack and defense for as long as ki allows.
Allows the Kaioken Attack finishing move to be activated. Users can not
charge until their ki has reached 0.
Finishing Moves
-Kamehameha
Cost: 33,000
Notes: The blast of the turtle school, originally created by Master
Roshi, it is now a signature technique among several of the Z-fighters,
and even some of their enemies.
-Kaioken Attack
Cost: 28,000
Notes: Goku must have the favorite technique Kaioken activated to use
this technique. This move begins with a high speed dash launch, and
will begin only if the first strike lands correctly
Super Finishing Move
-Spirit Bomb
Cost: 100,000
Notes: The last move Goku learned from King Kai. This technique calls
upon the energy of the living things around it, gathering it all into a
single strike. This technique has been the downfall of many a villain
in the dragonball series
=======================================================================
Super Saiyan Goku
=======================================================================
Bio: Tales of the legendary Super Saiyans of old had been passed down
for a thousand years, but even among the Saiyans themselves, there was
much doubt that such a form ever actually existed. In truth, any
Saiyan whose power level is above a certain threshold has the potential
to become a Super Saiyan. Only those with a calm, still heart are able
to achieve the Super Saiyan state; and even then, only by suffering an
extreme sense of danger, anger, or sadness can the power actually be
awakened. In Goku?s case, witnessing Krillin?s death at the hands of
Frieza (Final Form) was the key to his transformation.
The energy involved in a Super Saiyan transformation causes the hair to
stand on end and turn a golden color. The facial expression is
sharpened, and the color of the irises turns to a bright emerald green.
A Super Saiyan?s power level is fifty times greater than that of his
normal state. The massive energies involved cause the emotions to
become stirred, and make it difficult to remain calm. As a downside to
the transformation, illnesses progress much more rapidly in this form,
perhaps because of the body?s increased metabolic activity.
There are no particular changes to the techniques Goku uses while in
his Super Saiyan state, although, since he possesses a much higher
power level, each of his techniques packs a much greater punch.
Favorite Techniques
-Afterimage
Cost: 2 Orbs
Notes: A teleportation technique, allowing the user to dodge an attack
by moving to the side. Very useful for eluding Finishing moves.
-Full Power Charge
Cost: 1 Orb
Notes: Power up your yellow ki bar to max.
Finishing Moves
-Super Kamehameha
Cost: 43,000
Notes: The blast of the turtle school, originally created by Master
Roshi, it is now a signature technique among several of the Z-fighters,
and even some of their enemies.
-High Power Rush
Cost: 42,000
Notes: Rush full on for a physical attack. Only successful if the
initial blow lands.
Super Finishing Move
Instantaneous Transmission Kamehameha
Cost: 91,000
Notes: A technique that combines Goku?s instant transmission and
kamehameha skills. Launched by an initial physical blow, the move with
only be successful if it lands.
=======================================================================
Super Saiyan 2 Goku
=======================================================================
Bio: Having achieved the ability to transform into a Super Saiyan, it
is possible to reach this higher form through further training and
battle experience, or through a burst of extreme anger.
During the Super Saiyan 2 transformation, in addition to the increased
length of the hair and sharpening of the features, the air around the
body surges with a lightning-like aura.
Those who achieve this form all share a similar increase in power over
the first Super Saiyan state, but changes in personality can vary
widely, depending on the factors leading to the transformation.
In Goku?s case, after dying during the final battle with Perfect Cell,
he gained the ability to achieve this transformation while training in
Other World. Goku used this form to battle Majin Vegeta, after the
Saiyan prince had been subverted to Babidi?s powers.
Favorite Technique
-Instantaneous Transmission
Cost: 2 Orbs
Notes: Allows the user to teleport directly infront of their opponent.
Useful for surprise attacks, but a high risk of getting punched, kicked
or blasted in the face upon arriving next to your enemy.
-Explosive Wave
Cost: 1 Orb
Notes: A wave of energy that completely surrounds the user, protecting
from all attacks, except super finishing moves. This technique can be
used at any time if you have enough orbs, and is very useful.
Finishing Moves
-Full Power Energy Blast Volley
Cost: 35,000
Notes: A series of power full ki blasts.
-High Power Rush
Cost: 42,000
Notes: Rush full on for a physical attack. Only successful if the
initial blow lands.
Super Finishing Moves
-Super Kamehameha
Cost: 91,000
Notes: The blast of the turtle school, originally created by Master
Roshi, it is now a signature technique among several of the Z-fighters,
and even some of their enemies.
=======================================================================
Super Saiyan 3 Goku
=======================================================================
Bio: In this form, the hidden powers of a Saiyan are tapped to their
fullest. Notable physical features include extreme growth of the
golden hair and the disappearance of the eyebrows. A Saiyan?s power
level is increased dramatically in this form.
In order to maintain this powerful transformation, a great deal of
energy must be consumed. As such, the form is only sustainable for a
very brief time outside of Other World.
Goku gained the ability to achieve this form through intense training
in Otherworld. He knew that performing the transformation while on his
visit to Earth would drastically reduce the amount of time he was able
to stay in this form. Therefore, he fought Majin Vegeta in his Super
Saiyan 2 form, and only resorted to the Super Saiyan 3 form against
Majin Buu (good) in order to buy much needed time.
Later, in the final battle against Kid Buu on the Supreme Kai?s planet,
Goku was able to utilize this transformation to fight an evenly matched
battle with the monster. However, he was unable to find enough time to
store the energy necessary for a finishing blow. Thus, the battle
ended in a draw.
In Dragonball GT, after being returned to his boyhood form, Goku is
still able to make the Super Saiyan 3 transformation, though with a
more youthful appearance.
Favorite Techniques
-Instantaneous Transmission
Cost: 2 Orbs
Notes: Allows the user to teleport directly infront of their opponent.
Useful for surprise attacks, but a high risk of getting punched, kicked
or blasted in the face upon arriving next to your enemy.
-Power up to the Very Limit
Cost: 3 Orbs
Notes: This move allows the user to power up into Max Power mode,
allowing them to use their ultimate. As an added bonus, attack, defense
and speed are all increased for as long as Max Power mode lasts.
Finishing Moves
-Full Power Energy Blast Volley
Cost: 36,000
Notes: A series of powerful ki blasts
-Super Explosive Wave
Cost: 42,000
Notes: The user creates a large field of energy surrounding his body,
destroying everything within the wide range.
Super Finishing Move
-Super Kamehameha
Cost: 95,000
Notes: The blast of the turtle school, originally created by Master
Roshi, it is now a signature technique among several of the Z-fighters,
and even some of their enemies.
=======================================================================
Super Saiyan 4 Goku
=======================================================================
Bio: The ultimate Saiyan form, first displayed by Goku in Dragonball
GT.
Only Super Saiyans who can maintain their rationality while becoming
Great Apes can attain this form, which boasts the greatest power level
of any Super Saiyan type.
The golden hair and gold aura that were key characteristics of previous
Super Saiyan transformations disappear, and are replaced by black hair
and reddish fur over the top half of the body, both being features
never seen before.
Having lost his tail long ago, Goku was unable to transform into a
Great Ape. The Elder Supreme Kai used his powers to help Goku regrow
his tail once again, thus restoring his lost ability. As Goku
transformed, he lost all rationality and began to run wild. But seeing
the tears of his granddaughter Pan, he recovered his senses and
successfully transformed into a Super Saiyan 4.
While in this form, Goku?s personality becomes one of the composed
combativeness. The increased power level also enables him to use super
charged fighting techniques, such as the 10x Kamehameha.
Favorite Techniques
-Instantaneous Transmission
Cost: 2 Orbs
Notes: Allows the user to teleport directly infront of their opponent.
Useful for surprise attacks, but a high risk of getting punched, kicked
or blasted in the face upon arriving next to your enemy.
-Power up to the Very Limit
Cost: 3 Orbs
Notes: This move allows the user to power up into Max Power mode,
allowing them to use their ultimate. As an added bonus, attack, defense
and speed are all increased for as long as Max Power mode lasts.
Finishing Moves
-Full Power Energy Blast Volley
Cost: 37,000
Notes: A series of powerful ki blasts
-Super Explosive Wave
Cost: 43,000
Notes: The user creates a large field of energy surrounding his body,
destroying everything within the wide range.
Super Finishing Move
-10x Kamehameha
Cost: 91,000
Notes: The blast of the turtle school, originally created by Master
Roshi, it is now a signature technique among several of the Z-fighters,
and even some of their enemies.
=======================================================================
Vegeta
=======================================================================
Bio: An elite warrior of the Saiyan Race and the prince of the Planet
Vegeta.
Born as the prince of Planet Vegeta, he was blessed with a gift for
fighting. While he was conquering other worlds as one of Frieza?s
servants, his home planet Vegeta was destroyed by Frieza.
After receiving a transmission from Raditz, Vegeta learned that there
were Dragonballs on Earth which could grant any wish. He proceeded to
Earth, where he first met and fought against his eternal rival, Goku.
While on Planet Namek, Vegeta found himself fighting on the side of
Goku and his friends, in a joint effort to defeat Frieza. He was
unable to withstand the power of Frieza?s final form, however, as a
single blast from the evil tyrant ended Vegeta?s life.
Having been restored to life by the Namekian dragon Porunga, Vegeta
took up residence at Bulma?s house, devoting his days to intense
training. As time went on, he and Bulma grew closer, and ever since,
he has fought alongside Goku as one of the Earth?s greatest defenders.
Vegeta?s enormous sense of pride will not be satisfied until he has
become the greatest saiyan. No matter how far he pushes himself
through training, however, it seems Goku is always one step beyond him.
For this reason, Vegeta harbors complex feelings of anger and envy
towards Goku. The fact that Vegeta is always second to Goku causes him
considerable anguish.
In order to prove himself the mightiest Saiyan once and for all, Vegeta
allowed himself to be controlled by the wizard Babidi. As Majin
Vegeta, he then used his new powers to challenge Goku to battle.
However, at the revival of Majin Buu, he was forced to abandon the
fight before its final conclusion.
Following the interruption of his battle with Goku, Vegeta sacrificed
his own life to save the Earth, blowing himself up in an effort to rid
the world of Majin Buu. He was later returned to life through the
power of the Dragonballs, and during the final battle against Kid Buu,
he set aside his pride and fought united with Goku.
Although he was forced to admit that Goku was the greatest Saiyan
during the final battle with Kid Buu, Vegeta?s desire to be the best
remained unchanged, and he continued his rigorous training in the hopes
of one day surpassing his rival.
Initially, Vegeta possessed the cruel, killer instinct of a Saiyan
warrior, but during his time on earth, his heart gradually began to
soften. Even so, his warrior?s pride remains intact, making it
difficult for him to express any sort of affection.
Among Vegeta?s favored fighting techniques are energy blast such as the
Gallic Gun. After he transforms into a Super Saiyan, he adds
additional moves to his arsenal, such as the Final Flash.
In Dragonball GT, Vegeta changes his hairstyle and grows a mustache.
He receives a tremendous shock, however, when his daughter Bra tells
him that the mustache does not suit him, and he ends up shaving it off.

Super Saiyan Vegeta
=======================================================================
Bio: Tales of the legendary Super Saiyans of old had been passed down

to become a Super Saiyan. Only those with a calm, still heart are able
to achieve the Super Saiyan state; and even then, only by suffering an
extreme sense of danger, anger, or sadness can the power actually be
awakened. In Vegeta?s case, the anger at his own inability to surpass
Goku fueled his transformation.
The energy involved in a Super Saiyan transformation causes the hair to
stand on end and turn a golden color. The facial expression is
sharpened, and the color of the irises turns to a bright emerald green.
A Super Saiyan?s power level is fifty times greater than that of his
normal state. The massive energies involved cause the emotions to
become stirred, and in Vegeta?s case, cause him to become even more
aggressive and belligerent.
The first time Vegeta appears in this form, he uses a powerful new
finishing move, the Big Bang Attack, to dispose of Android 19.

-Explosive Wave
Cost: 1 Orb
Notes: A wave of energy that completely surrounds the user, protecting

used at any time if you have enough orbs, and is very useful.
-Fishing Sign

Finishing Moves

Notes: Rush full on for a physical attack. Only successful if the

Super Finishing Moves
-Big Bang Attack
Cost: 93,000
Notes: Another of Vegeta?s original techniques. A massive ball of ki
launched from a single palm.
=======================================================================
Super Saiyan Super Vegeta
=======================================================================
Bio: This form has also been referred to as an Ascended Saiyan, or
Super Saiyan Second Stage, and is not to be confused with the Super
Saiyan 2 transformation.
After being humiliated by Android 18, and realizing that his Super
Saiyan powers did not yet make him invincible, Vegeta trained with
Future Trunks inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, where he discovered
this powerful transformation.
When taking this form, Vegeta?s muscles swell, making his body several
sizes larger than normal. Otherwise, there are no exceptional changes
in his physical appearance. The lightning-like aura associated with
the Super Saiyan 2 transformation is not present in this form.
While in this form, Vegeta?s speed and power are elevated far beyond
his previous Super Saiyan limits. He is also able to use a new super
finishing move, the Final Flash.
Incidentally, there is an even more specialized transformation beyond
this stage, called Super Saiyan Third Stage. In this stage, however,
the increase in power comes at the cost of reduced speed and mobility,
and the strain upon the body is intensified, thus making the
transformation impractical.
Favorite Techniques
-Explosive Wave
Cost: 1 Orb
Notes: A wave of energy that completely surrounds the user, protecting
from all attacks, except super finishing moves. This technique can be
used at any time if you have enough orbs, and is very useful.
-Full Power Charge
Cost: 1 Orb
Notes: Power up your yellow ki bar to max.
Finishing Moves
-Big Bang Attack
Cost: 43,000
Notes: Another of Vegeta?s original techniques. A massive ball of ki
launched from a single palm.
-High Power Rush
Cost: 43,000
Notes: Rush full on for a physical attack. Only successful if the
initial blow lands.
Super Finishing Moves
-Final Flash
Cost: 100,000
Notes: Yet another one of Vegeta?s original techniques. After
gathering energy in both hands with arms spread wide, Vegeta forces his
wrists together in a position similar to that of a kamehameha, but
sideways.
=======================================================================
Majin Vegeta
=======================================================================
Bio: After the final battle with Cell, Vegeta continued his intensive
training in the hopes of surpassing Goku and regaining his title as the
mightiest Saiyan. However, as he watched Goku?s battle with Yakon
inside Babidi?s spaceship, Vegeta was shocked to discover that he had
not closed the gap between himself and Goku in the least.
Vegeta concluded that this gap could be bridged if he allowed himself
to be controlled by Babidi and thereby returned to the way he used to
be, possessed of a cruel warrior?s heart, unhindered by concern for
family and friends. Thus, Vegeta submitted to Babidi?s power and
became Majin Vegeta.
After using Babidi?s spell to draw out his power, Vegeta?s fierce pride
enabled him to disobey the wizard?s commands. Instead, he challenged
Goku to a long awaited battle. The fighting was intense, but because
their powers were so evenly matched, the battle eventually ended in a
draw. Unfortunately, the massive amounts of energy released had
already succeeded in reviving the monster Majin Buu.
In order to defeat Majin Buu, who had been revived because of his own
selfishness, Vegeta bid farewell to his family and friends and blew
himself up in a massive flash of energy. Unfortunately, Buu was not
completely destroyed by the blast, and Vegeta?s noble sacrifice was in
vain.
As Majin Vegeta, there are no significant changes to his key
techniques. But since his powers have been boosted to their maximum
levels, the force of his attacks are increased substantially. In this
form, Vegeta?s strength may be equivalent to that of a Super Saiyan 2.
One indication of this is the lightning-like aura surrounding his body,
a key characteristic of the Super Saiyan 2 transformation.
Favorite Techniques
-Explosive Wave
Cost: 1 Orb
Notes: A wave of energy that completely surrounds the user, protecting
from all attacks, except super finishing moves. This technique can be
used at any time if you have enough orbs, and is very useful.
-High Tension
Cost: 1 Orb
Note: Increases physical attack strength until a finishing move is used
and fills the yellow ki bar slightly. Can be used multiple times for an
added boost.
Finishing Moves
-Big Bang Attack
Cost: 46,000
Notes: Another of Vegeta?s original techniques. A massive ball of ki
launched from a single palm.
-Final Flash
Cost: 97,000
Notes: Yet another one of Vegeta?s original techniques. After
gathering energy in both hands with arms spread wide, Vegeta forces his
wrists together in a position similar to that of a kamehameha, but
sideways.
Super Finishing Move
-Final Explosion
Cost: 0
Notes: An end all desperation technique in which, the user commits
suicide in an attempt to destroy the enemy in the ensuing blast. Majin
Vegeta?s health will be reduced to zero if this move is activated.
=======================================================================
Super Saiyan 2 Vegeta
=======================================================================
Bio: Having achieved the ability to transform into a Super Saiyan, it

In Vegeta?s case, the ability to take this form was earned through many
years of intense training. We first see Vegeta undergo this
transformation as he stands against Kid Buu, holding the monster at bay
while Goku gathers the energy for the spirit bomb.

Super Saiyan 4 Vegeta
=======================================================================
Bio: Only Super Saiyans who can maintain their rationality while
becoming Great Apes can attain this form, which boasts the greatest
power level of any Super Saiyan type.
In the final battle with Omega Shenron, Vegeta transformed into a Great
Ape with the aid of a Blutz Wave Amplifier created by Bulma, which then
enabled him to take this ultimate form.
As with Goku, the golden hair and gold aura that were key
characteristics of previous Super Saiyan transformations disappear.
These are replaced by reddish fur over the top half of his body, and
black hair sporting a reddish tinge.
In the storyline, Vegeta underwent Fusion with Goku soon after taking
this form, so the variety of techniques and fighting styles available
to him have yet to be seen.
