BE SURE TO READ THIS FIRST PART! You can read this faq as long as you
don't change ANY part of it (including this small introduction). Also,
you can print it but only for use at your home, you may NEVER sell
this stuff or else you will make me really mad and maybe I won't work
anymore! Finally, if you want to use this faq on your site (or use
any party of it for other things, like writing your own faq or something)
you have to mail me and ask me for it, I will almost surely grant it to
you! =)

1. Getting Started

This faq is mainly for those people who want to get as much from the
Tournament Mode as possible. I will try to give you as much strategies as
possible, but some decisions will have to be taken with your own mind, and
you should pick the types of attacks that better fit your experience.
Also, I accept your own contributions for strategies, and around here I
will try to cover as many aspects of that mode as possible.
Oh, and if you were wondering, to enter this mode you just have to click
the "World Tournament" option in the main menu! There, you will be able to
fight 3~5 battles (depending on the mode), one at a time, and if you
win
all of them, you will receive a lot of money, depending which mode you
played.
However, your best bet around here is taking a Custom character, and if
you want any suggestions about that, check section "2. Nice Character
configurations for you to use".
If you want to know how much money you will win, or you just want to see
general information about each of the tournaments, be sure to read the
section "3. Information about each specific tournament".
Also, there are certain capsules that can't be used in all the
tournaments, if you want to know more about them, read "4. Unusable
Capsules".
If you have any questions, be sure to check section "5. Frequently Asked
Questions", as they probably will be probably already answered there.

2. Nice Character configurations for you to use

All of them will be given in this configuration:

Character Name: (the default of the character in here)

Best Used on: (the type of tournament it is best used on)

Capsules: (each of the capsules you should use)
cp1: [name 1]
cp2: [name 2]
(...)

+ (the number may vary, but this is a good point about this configuration)

+

+

- (the number may vary, but this is a bad point about this configuration)

-

Strategy: (the strategy you should follow when you are using this
          specific configuration)

This is easy to understand, and I hope that everyone can really find this
to be the easiest way to understand all the information. Also, the
characters are ordered by their names, if you were wondering...

Character name: Cooler

Best Used on: Cell Games

Capsules:
cp1-4: Cooler's spaceship
cp5: Sauzer Blade
cp6-7: Sparking!!

+ > You will win extra money at the end

+ > You only have a special, but it strikes for multiple hits and causes a
   good ammount of damage

+ > You will actually have 6 health bars: 3 "normal" ones and 3 that
   should
appear after your character dying and auto-using his spaceship
   capsule.

- > You don't have any transformations

- > You just have one death move

Strategy: Use the death move at short range, if possible in the middle of
a combo. Don't worry about your health, since your spaceship
capsule will be of great help.

Character name: Frieza

Best Used on: Cell Games

Capsules:
cp1-4: Frieza's spaceship
cp5: Destruction Beam
cp6-7: Sparking!!

+ > You will win extra money at the end

+ > You only have a special, and it can cause a fair ammount of damage at
   long range

+ > You will actually have 6 health bars: 3 "normal" ones and 3 that
   should
appear after your character dying and auto-using his spaceship
   capsule.

- > You don't have any transformations

- > You just have one death move

Strategy: Use the death move at long range, and try striking with short
range combos when the enemy is near you. Don't worry with your
health, since your spaceship capsule will be of great help.

Character name: Frieza

Best Used on: Cell Games

Capsules:
cp1-4: Frieza's spaceship
cp5: Second Form
cp6: Third Form
cp7: Final Form

+ > You will actually have 6 health bars: 3 "normal" ones and 3 that
   should
appear after your character dying and auto-using his spaceship
   capsule.

+ > Good for players who like a more physical battle

- > You don't have any death moves

Strategy: As soon as possible, try increasing your Ki and advancing to
Final Form. Then, strike physically as much as possible and
defeat your opponent by doing so. If required, wait until the
spaceship is activated and keep on fighting, eventually you
         will win.

Character name: Goku

Best Used on: everywhere

Capsules:
cp1: Kaioken
cp2: Super Saiyan
cp3: Super Saiyan 2
cp4: Super Saiyan 3
cp5: Super Saiyan 4
cp6: Kamehameha
cp7: Warp Kamehameha OR Spirit Bomb

+ > You will have a good physical attack power

+ > Your death moves are quite good, and using them you will be able to
inflict good damage on your opponent at long range, or at short range,
   if used in combos

- > You can't heal yourself

Strategy: Transform as soon as possible and keep on transforming to the
highest possible level, use normal punches or kicks at short
range and, if you like it, Dragon Rush. You can also try to
use your death moves as part of your combos, but be careful
when using them or they may be avoided.

Character name: Goku (or Vegeta)

Best Used on: Cell Games (ONLY USABLE THERE!)

Capsules:
cp1-7: SSJ4 Gogeta

+ > If you can fuse, you will win the battle easily

+ > You will be able to transform and use a Kamehame attack

- > You won't win much money

Strategy: As soon as the battle starts, run away from your opponent and
keep on increasing your ki bar. When you are able to, transform
and try to fuse. Then, use "Big Bang Kamehameha" as many times
as you can and finish the enemy in no time.

Character name: Goku (or Vegeta)

Best Used on: Cell Games (ONLY USABLE THERE!)

Capsules:
cp1-7: Potara (Vegito)

+ > If you can fuse, you will win the battle easily

+ > You will be able to transform and use a Kamehame attack

- > If you can't fuse, you will be in BIG trouble

- > You won't win much money

Strategy: As soon as the battle starts, run away from your opponent and
keep on increasing your ki bar. When you are able to, transform
and try to fuse. Be careful, since if you miss it (hey, you have
75% chances of suceeding) you will be in BIG trouble. When you
fuse, just attack using "Spirit Sword" (I think that's its name,
if I recall) or your death moves.

Character name: Hercule

Best Used on: anywhere

Capsules:
cp1-4: (any 4-slot armor you like)
cp5: Champion Belt
cp6: Hercules False Courage
cp7: Turtle Shell

+ > A really HIGH defense, which makes him hard to hit

+ > "Turtle Shell" only affects your opponent, since Hercule can't
   teleport anyway

- > You don't have any special attacks

- > You won't win any extra money

- > You will have long matches

Strategy: Just attack as much and as quickly as you can, and stay away
from the borders, if you are in an arena. Eventually you will
deplete your opponents' health bar and win.

Character name: Kid Buu (or Omega Shenron)

Best Used on: Anything but Cell Games

Capsules:
cp1: Concentration
cp2-7: Sparking!!!!!!

+ > You will loose less Ki by dodging

+ > You will win a good ammount on money at the end of the tournament

- > Requires good skills

- > Deeply depends on luck

Strategy: Go to one of the sides of the ring. When attacked, just teleport
to the back of your opponent and send him to the outside of the
field. Sometimes he may also teleport to your back (when you are
trying to teleport to its back) so you must be quite careful
with it. By using the Concentration capsule you will be able to
teleport more times, so good luck with it! :) Also, this kind of
technique can be used by anyone, but characters with more
         initial Ki bars work better!

Character name: Kid Buu (strategy contributed by Acyris)

Best Used on: Anywhere

Capsules:
cp1: Vanishing Ball
cp2: Kamehameha
cp3: Warp Kamehameha (or any 1 slot attack booster)
cp4: Concentration (Cell Games) or Turtle Shell (World Tournament Levels
cp5: Vaccine
cp6-7: Viral Heart Disease

+ can use all of kid buu's moves
+ viral heart disease & vaccine: deadly combination
- can't heal yourself
- no extra money

Strategy:
At the start of the match, quickly get away from your opponent, then use
vaccine immediately (G + down + down), this will stop the draining of your
health while your opponent still suffers the effect of viral heart disease
capsule. Continue mashing your opponent until he's down.

Character name: Uub

Best Used on: Anything but Cell Games

Capsules:
cp1: Ki Cannon
cp2-7: Sparking!!!!!!

+ > You will win A LOT of money at the end

+ > You can push the enemy for outside the field with your Ki Cannon

- > It relies a lot on luck

- > It depends on the skill of whoever is playing with Uub

Strategy: Just keep on using Uub's Ki Cannon to try pushing your opponent
to the outside of the arena.

Character name: Uub

Best Used on: Anything but Cell Games

Capsules:
cp1: Ki Cannon
cp2: Turtle Shell
cp3-7: Sparking!!!!!

+ > You will win some more extra money at the end

+ > You can push the enemy for outside the field with your Ki Cannon

+ > There is less probability for the enemy to teleport, as Turtle Shell
   will be drainning their Ki

- > It relies a lot on luck

- > It depends on the skill of whoever is playing with Uub

- > Not very good if you are a type of player that likes to teleport

Strategy: Keep on using Uub's Ki Cannon to try pushing your opponent
to
the outside of the arena. Sometimes he will try to counter you
by teleporting, but Turtle Shell will cause your opponent to
lose his Ki more quickly, making this strategy even better.

Character name: ? (anyone you want, but Omega Shenron is your best bet)

Best Used on: Anything but Cell Games

Capsules:
cp1-7: Sparking!!!!!!!

+ > You will win the maximum possible money at the end

+ > Easy way to win

- > Depends on the ki of the current character

- > It depends on the skill of whoever is playing with it

- > Can sometimes depend on luck

Strategy: Go to one of the sides of the ring. When attacked, just teleport
to the back of your opponent and send him to the outside of the
field. Sometimes he may also teleport to your back (when you are
trying to teleport to its back) so you must be quite careful with
         it.

Character name: Kid Buu or Omega Shenron (strategy contributed by Acyris)

Best Used on: Anything but Cell Games

Capsules:
cp1: Turtle Shell
cp2-7: Sparking!!!!!!

+ > You will win some extra money in the end

+ > Your enemies won't be able to teleport to your behind, at least easily

- > You can't heal yourself

- > You don't have many attacks

- > You don't have transformations

Strategy: Kid Buu starts with 6 full bars of ki, Omega Shenron with 7. If
you're playing in World Tournament Game, and after using
vaccine, charge to fill up all your seven bars of ki. Then get
to the edge of the stage, and when an enemy comes near and
attacks you, teleport counter to kick him outside of the ring.
This will drain 6 bars of
your ki, but the advantage is that
your enemy can't teleport counter you anymore since they also
need 6 bars of ki to do a teleport counter. That's why I only
recommend using Turtle Shell against opponents with 3 or 4
         baseline of ki.

Do you know that you can also submit your own strategies? Just read the
"Contacts" section of the faq and use the "hlp" subject, I'll review your
post and publish it (if I think it is worthy) as soon as possible!

Unlocking this one will be harder, but it will surely be worthy of the
trouble. First, you will have to unlock the Dragon Arena mode (which can
be done by finishing the Dragon Universe mode for all its characters),
play it and have Cell break into a battle (which is a random event that
will happen sometimes) and defeat him for acquiring this mode!

4. Unusable Capsules

Here you will see a list of capsules which are unusable during the
tournaments, and by tournaments I mean any tournament EXCEPT for Cells
Games, since you can use any capsules in that one.

- #17 Accel Dance, #17 Ultimate Move
- #18 Accel Dance, #18 Ultimate Move
- Absorption, Super Buu's Ultimate Move
- Babidi's Mind Control
- Close Call, Videl's Ultimate Move
- Fusion (Gogeta)
- Fusion (Gotenks)
- Fusion (SSJ4 Gogeta)
- Potara (Kibitoshin)
- Potara (Vegito)

However, these may not be all the capsules which unusable during the
tournaments. In order to know if a specific capsule is usable or not, you
have to equip it and then highlight that capsule on the menu. If it shows
up in yellow, it means that you are facing an unusable capsule.

5. Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Where can I get [insert capsule name here] ?

Answer: That is not the main point of this faq, but most of them can be
bought randomly in the shop. If you need more information about
this, be sure to read the other faqs around here.

Question: What is the best strategy for defeating [insert name here] ?

Answer: It always depends on the character that you are facing. If he/she
is a lot smaller than you, you can be in big trouble, so your best
best is always picking a medium size character. Also, wait for the
enemy to be "tired" before attempting a Dragon Rush attack, if you
are not a very experienced player.

Question: I've equipped capsule [insert name here], but it doesn't show up
during the battle. What the hell is happening?

Answer: There are some capsules that can't be used in the tournament.
Those include the Fusion Capsules (among others) and despite not
any information is given, you simply won't be able to use them in
the battles. Also, be sure to check section "4. Unusable Capsules"
of the faq, as it can provide you some more information about
       this.

Question: How can I fully destroy the ring?

Answer: You can't. The tournament rings are undestructable, just like the
       scenario inside Buu.
As for Cell Games arena, you can destroy it
       by using a powerful attack.

Question: What's the best way for trying to win more money?

Answer: Personally I would use the last strategy from section "2. Nice
Characters configurations for you to use", but the one first one
with Frieza (from that same section) will also grant you a fair
ammount of money while providing a good attack strategy.
