Here are the Actual requirements for getting the costumes in the Japanese
version of DoA2H*C. The requirements may or may not be the same for the US
Hardcore and Japanese Dreamcast Limited Edition. All the info was taken from
the Japanese strategy guide: Dead or Alive 2 Hard*Core Perfect Guide. The
Japanese version DOES have extra costumes NOT found in the US version they are
denoted by (Japanese Exclusive).

There are four ways to get each outfit, two with and two with out using a UPS
file. One is quick but insanely hard while the other is long and tedious but
easy to do. If you use the UPS the costumes will be saved to the UPS and not
the system file. This means if you copy your system file for a friend they will
not get all the costumes (the UPS is not transferable). It also means if you
bring your UPS file to a friends house you can fight with all the costumes you
have earned and they have not, and vice versa.

They will be noted as such
SYS1: save to system file, hard way
SYS2: save to system file, easy way
UPS1: save to UPS file, hard way
UPS2: save to UPS file, easy way

When it say "beat story more", "Play 50 times", etc it is assumed that you are
using that character.

Survival mode items, after you beat 50 people in survival mode you can get the
Medal, after you get the medal and have collected all the other items, new
special items will appear for each character. Note these items are insanely
rare and almost never appear, their appearance frequency is 15/1712.
