This is Mark here, also known as ultrasilver64. This is my first FAQ I've
made for the PS2 and I hope it helps you. Enjoy!

chests that pop up around the Georamas in Dark Cloud.

4. Info on the Miracle Chests /
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

There may be times when you find chests all over the place and wonder what
they are. Well, I'll tell you. According to one of the villagers in Nolun
(Carl), they are known as Miracle Chests. They appear each time you clear a
floor and access the next one. So, it's best to check them regularly.

5. Preperation /
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before you start Treasure Hunting, it's best that you do the following for
each Georama. First, make sure that you have cleared the floors of a
Dungeon until you can go no further. Next, try to free up some room in
your inventory (that's items AND attachments) so you can collect them more
freely without being restricted. Collect the ones that are available BEFORE
you start building (This is especially important in Matataki Village or you'll
lose 3 chests in the process!). Then when you have further access, go back into
the Dungeon and clear the remaining floors. Once you've done that, collect the
remaining ones and you should get them all!

6. How to find the Miracle Chests /
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Locating the Miracle Chests can take a while (trust me, it's worth it!!),
but it doesn't have to be a chore! The Miracle Chests have an 'eye' on them
and will contain items that are either supportive, enhancing or rare. Take
note of that!

Each Georama piece has Miracle Chests OUTSIDE AND INSIDE them so check all
over to find them. Some chests can't be found because of the awkward camera
angles. To rectify this, explore the inside of someone's house in
first-person (use R2 to switch). Then simply use the left stick to move and
the right stick to look around!

Also, the main Georama Base (the empty space where you place the pieces)
will have Miracle Chests too. Finding these require you to explore every
nook and cranny of the Georama. They can be tricky, but worth it! A good
tip is to remove ALL Georama pieces from the Base and explore it, before
putting them back.

7. Miracle Chest Locations /
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

NOTE about Stat Attachments: The attachments for Attack, Endurance, Speed
and Magical Power ARE fixed, but the amounts randomize between 1 and 3.
If you want the maximum, just save before opening its chest and save if
successful. If not, reset and try again. For clarity, I've missed out their
values and left them with '+' at the end.

Note about Miracle Chests in Dark Heaven Castle & Demon Shaft:

It recently came to my knowledge that Dark Heaven Castle & Demon Shaft
has NO MIRACLE CHESTS AT ALL! Since the plot reveals how they appear, no
Miracle Chests appear in Dark Heaven Castle or Demon Shaft after that.

Note from me regarding above statement:

Well, I knew that there were none at Dark Heaven Castle or Demon Shaft and yet,
someone tries to prove me wrong! I got an e-mail in March 2003 from somebody
(and I won't give any names!) who said that there WERE some in Dark Heaven
Castle. Well, after being told I was incompetent about it, I wasn't going to
go down without a fight!

So, I booted-up Dark Cloud and went through the game with a fine-tooth comb
and matched the Miracle Chests to the ones in my FAQ. And the result? A TOTAL
FABRICATION!

So to confirm it once and for all...

THERE ARE NO MIRACLE CHESTS IN DARK HEAVEN CASTLE OR DEMON SHAFT! PERIOD!!!
