As you (may or may not) know, there are MANY different characters in this game
that can be recruited. What you also may know is that each one requires you to
do or have certain things and favors to gain their help. That is the purpose of
this FAQ: to tell you the name, location, and way to get each character. As
with any of my FAQs, if you find ANY errors in my spelling, grammar, or
something that is simply MISSING COMPLETELY (ie. missing characters,
locations), please let me know at the e-mail address at the top of the FAQ. All
contributors to the FAQ will be fully credited, unless a request to withhold is
given.

How To Get: When you enter Balance Valley, you will come across a
sick girl. Max will recommend that you go and find a
Doctor Dell for her. Head to Palm Brinks and find Doctor
Dell (near the lake). Get him, and bring him to Balance
Valley. Once you do this, he should join shortly.
In case you cannot understand
the above explanation (for some
strange reason), here are
Christopher Angel's EXACT words: "It's part and parcel of moving from Chapter 2
to Chapter 3. When you enter Balance Valley,
you find a sick girl. Max recommends they go
find Doctor Dell, who lives by the lake in
Palm Brinks. You get him, come back to
Balance Valley, and he joins."

How To Get: Getting Milane is done almost exactly the same way as
getting Max's Dad, yet slightly different.
If you remember correctly, Milane gives you a weapon. If
you build up this weapon twice, Milane should join you
upon returning the weapon to her.
**NOTE** You must talk to Milane as MONICA, not Max. Max cannot
recruit Milane.

must compete in 10 rounds of Spheda AFTER getting Mina's
quest.
**NOTE** You must recruit Mina with MONICA. Mina will not respond
to Max.

"After years (okay, minutes) of experimentation I found
out how to turn off all the candles in the church in
four easy moves. All numbers are counting from the
bottom of the church, that is, two rows of candles

very well be the same for you. To recruit Blinkhorn, you
must accomplish the hellish task of beating Blinkhorn's
2.00 minute time of running from the Police Station out to
a boat on a lake, and running back to the Police Station.
I promise you, it _IS_ possible, but I also promise that
it is VERY hard. Good luck!

book he wants, and he will join. Afterward, he will repay
you the unused amount of money.

3/6/03 - v 2.1 -- Well, I'm still getting a TON of e-mail, and I'm STILL
getting a bunch of Milane e-mails, even though I cleared up
my little error from earlier. Strange, strange world.
I've added yet ANOTHER character I seem to have left out:
Olivie. That's basically all that this update consists of.
3/2/03 - v 2.0 -- Well, the e-mails just keep PILING IN! I guess it doesn't
help that Dark Cloud 2 has been in the top 3 Most Visited
FAQ Pages for some time now, does it?
I've added some corrections to a couple characters. I've
corrected my MILANE section, so if you can't get her now,
don't blame me. Just ask me, ok? Also, corrected Rosa's
Recruitment, and added two characters: Pau and Mina. I hope
this update can hold you all of until I get time to write
what each character does, and what Chapter to get them in.
2/25/03 - v 1.2 -- I've gotten QUITE A FEW e-mails about this FAQ since I put
it up. Most of those e-mails, however, were just to tell me
about "what a great FAQ I've written", and I appreciate it.
Feel free to send your compliments or complaints, as long as
they are capable of being read, and are written in a nice,
calm attitude, then all criticisms are welcome. As for
updated, I've had a couple people worrying about Max's Dad's
name, so I've corrected that. I also received word from one
"Christopher Angel" about recruiting "Doctor Dell", so I've
included the info I received from C.A. on how to get Doctor
Dell. I've also been getting a lot of e-mail on one
character: Milane. Maybe it's just me.
P.S. Sorry about the huge update entry; I promise it won't
happen again!
2/19/03 - v 1.0 -- First version of this FAQ. I have all of the characters that
I know of. First draft, may be spelling and grammar errors.

my free time (a very long time, I promise you; MANY hours -
I was out of school due to a diabetes-related sickness, so I
