1. Introduction

This FAQ was written to help you customize your weapons and armor more to
your liking. In order to modify your own weapons you will need a cheat device
to modify the values that the game looks for in order to load the weapons and
stats.

*IMPORTANT NOTE*

While you have these codes on, picking up other weapons or armor is useless.
For instance if you have the Weapon mod on and you pick up another weapon from
a battle, the weapon you just picked up will simply dissapear. It WILL NOT be
in your inventory at all. Same thing applies for armor. You most likely will
be losing any extra weapons and armor if you load a previously saved game. It
is highly recommended that you only do this on a new game that you want to
either just look at the different mods or play a game from beginning to end
with mods.

This ability will, when it is made, be able to let you choose the percentage
modifiers alot more easily. As of right now you must play a game without the
modifier codes and pickup a weapon/armor that has the modifier you want
"ex. - Weapon "Adamantine Battle Axe" you would give this battle axe to the
character you want to use the mods on, then place the modded weapon on top of
the "Adamantine Battle Axe" and you would then get the result of "Adamantine
Bastard Sword" if you placed a Bastard Sword on top of it.

3. Explaining the Code
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This section explains what each line of the code does for the modifiers. I
will be using the Code Breaker as my example:

The Mastercode is what makes all the codes able to workfor the game. This has
to be at the very top of the list of codes to get them to work.

2A2B2B9F 00000001 - This first line tells the game to activate the specified
Armor Slot to activate, allowing you to modify everything
inside it.
2A2B2B83 00###### - This second line tells the game what Armor piece to load
into the slot that you acivated. You will have to replace
the ###### with certain values to get the Armor piece that
you want from the value section.
2ABF2A87 3F800000 - This third line tells the game that whatever is in this
specific slot weighs only 1 or in some cases 0. If you
wanted, you could possibly change the last two digits to
be a different weight, but why bother when it is already
really low.
2AAF2A87 0000$$$$ - The fourth line tells the game how much strength in
defense the armor has. The max it can be is 9999, an
important note is that if all four armor pieces were 9999
and you equiped them all. Then your total defense would
become negative, allowing the enemies to hurt you. To get
past this make two pieces 9999 and the other two 5000 or
lower. This will make you an incredibly tough armor set,
making you pretty much invincible. If you don't know how
to count in HEX then read below the weapon mod code
explanation.

2A292B87 000000?? along with +'s to use on the specified weapon. Each Weapon
2A162B87 000000?? type has a different result with it.
2A072A88 0000$$$$ - The last line tells the game how much strength in attack
the weapon has. The max it can be is 9999, but the weapon
won't actually be able to deal 9999 damage. This is due to
all the modifier's it also has to go through, you can
possibly with the right modifier's get it way above 9999
or it may just sit below it. It is most likely that
everytime you use 9999 strength on the weapon, it will be
an instant kill.

*Explaining HEX Value Editing for Armor ans Weapons*
****************************************************
The easiest way to modify the strength's for your defense in armor and your
offense in weapons is to get out the computer's calculator. Switch it to
Scientific and click Decimal (Dec). Type in any number from 0 to 9999 and
click the HEX button.
For example:
9999 = 270F
So you would take the code your going to put it in "2A072A88 0000$$$$"
Switch the $$$$ with 270F
and you will get "2A072A88 0000270F"
Anothe example:
93 = 5D
Since it is only two digits long you place "00" in front of the "5D" so you
don't place it like "5D00"
Taking the code "2A072A88 0000$$$$"
Switch the $$$$ with 005D
and you will get "2A072A88 0000005D"
For reference , the HEX numbering system goes like this:

4. Modifier Codes

As far as I know the Original and Greatest Hits versions of Baldur's Gate:
Dark Alliance will work with these codes. These will not work with GameShark
Media Player Bundle.
With the codes you will replace the ##, $$, @@, and ?? with the values in the
Values section below.

the fact that it would be a long list of nothing but repeats. If you are using
GameShark Version 2, Action Replay Version 2, or GameShark Version 3 you can
put the values that you wish into the appropriate slots then download a good
code converter from GSCentral's Website:

This will have instructions on how to use it. Also use the following
