I. The Basic Stuff

1. Why an FAQ on Puppet?

The character Puppet is an enemy on Tobal #1 as you all should know.
That annoying creature that is made out of wood and is quite weak, but
enough of them can pound you up. Well, don't get too excited, he isn't a
secret character or anything,( On Tobal 2 its an exception though...),
but besides that... He was an enemy, and he has moves that I would like
to give you to know what he can really do, plus, for those people with
him as a playable character on Tobal 2 also have an opportunity in the
future to check out my FAQ on Puppet the playable character on Tobal 2,
the sequal to Tobal #1. The FAQ on how to execute these moves will be
found in the mid 2001.

2. When Fighting Puppet

When you are fighting Puppet, beware of his iron ball fist. His punching
attacks are more deadly than his lower attacks. One really good
advantage is that his health is in the range of 50-70, so he can be
defeated easily. The disadvantage is that you encounter these things too
much throughout the dungeon. They are the most common of the species
found along the dungeon, and with enough damages from these fighters you
can be toast. When in combat with one of these, use upper attacks most
of the time. This is because it is rare for a puppet to block that area,
and it inflicts more damage. But furthermore, they are not much of a
threat.

3. Puppet History

The Puppet has been known as the little tree-guy walking around the
dungeons. He is quite annoying, and is found in two colors I have a
record of. The two colors you can find him in is brown, his name is
Puppet, and White, his name is White Puppet. Also on Tobal 2 he is known
as monster #182 in the list of playable Quest enemies. Also, he has a
stem with a leaf at the end of it pointing out of the top of his head.
He is seen with two iron balls connected at the end of his arms like
iron fists, and a branch-like nose, with red eyes just above it. The
funny thing is, he has been found in other games besides the Tobal
series such as Tekken 3, and Tekken Tag Team on PlayStation 2, except
his name is Mokujin, and the games also have a playable character as
Mokujin's Wife, Tetsujin. Tetsujin is almost identical to Mokujin,
except she has a flower sprouting from the stem rather than a leaf. The
only differences between Puppet and Mokujin is that Puppet is Skinnier,
and has two iron ball fists, Mokujin has one. Also, Mokujin has another
costume where he is made out of the metal gold. Puppet and The original
Mokujin are wood, and Tetsujin is just the same. There are other slight
differences, such as how Mokujin has the ability to use other
character's moves from the game, and where if he occupies the character
known as Yoshimitsu's moves,( The sword user), he, instead of using a
sword like Yoshimitsu, uses a branch for a sword. And that is the most
information dealing with Puppet so far.

II. The Moves

1. Introduction

There are quite a few moves that Puppet occupies in Tobal #1, and Tobal
2. I will not post how to use these moves, because this is an FAQ on the
Tobal #1 version of Puppet, and it is simply to inform you on what you
are to see or to be awaiting for when you enter a battle with him. The
way to execute the moves are shown on my FAQ coming soon on Puppet for
Tobal 2, where you can actually play as him. Please don't write to me
concerning the button combos to execute the attacks, I will just trash
it. Enjoy...

2. The Moves

A hit with the mighty iron fist.

Upper Cut
A hit to the jaw with the fist

Low Punch
A punch that is executed to the stomach

This is to hard to explain, but he jumps and performs an attack that is
quite unusual

German Suplex
Same as above, except he isn't found jumping to perform this attack.

3. Conclusion

And this is to conclude my studies of the known moves that the enemy
Puppet plays on the Player. I hope this has informed you, and helped you
to figure out the perfect choice to make, when you are at one of those
problems where you are at 1/365 health, and you need one move to help
you, and in this case it goes for fighting the Puppet. I will post a
gameshark code to play as Puppet on Tobal #1, if I finally manage to
discover it. Thank You.

III. The End

1. Tobal #1 Secrets

a) Alternate costumes:
Hold Up during character selection.

b) Hom suicide:
Press L1, L2, R1, R2, X, Down. Hom will turn himself off. Note: Another
version of this code is to press Down + R1 + L1 during a match.

c) Hint: Character demo:
To see a preview of a character fighting any known character on the game
(including dungeon enemies), there are two things you must do. First,
fight the enemy you would like to see in the demo and have them knock
you out. Then, wait at the title screen and the demo will begin. It will
show a random character fighting the enemy that previously killed
you, including dungeon enemies, or, Puppet.

d) Hint: Moving your character's eyes:
You can move a character's eyes during their victory pose by pressing
the D-pad.

e) Adjust camera view:
Hold L2 + R2 when the game loads after the character selection, until
the match begins. During a two player game, both controllers must be
used for this code.

I know many other codes, so, if you wish, you may ask me for more, or if
you need any help on the game.
