01.)                    INTRODUCTION                                 G0100
===============================================================================

Welcome to 'Simple 1500 Series Vol. 31: The Sound Novel' for the Playstation,
released by D3 in 2000.

According to Wikipedia the word "Sound Novel" was first coined by Chunsoft who
developed visual novels (basically a 'Choose Your Own Adventure' style book in
digital form) with added background noise. Until then most of these adventure
games were dead quiet. The term has since been used by other companies
developing similar games which are more popular in Japan than the point & click
affairs one sees common in the West. Most of these games have very little
interactivity. With modern consoles and thus added storage space on the media
these games actually started to have voices, although maybe only used for
certain common phrases.

Suggestions, comments or errors - tell me about it. Enjoy!

02.)                    BASICS                                       G0200
===============================================================================

At the start of the game you are asked to input names of characters which will
be used for the entire game. The game does not provide many details of the
persons within the game and silhouettes are used for shapes. You as the reader
are supposed to fill in the rest with your imagination.

03.)                    WALKTHROUGH                                  G0300
===============================================================================

This walkthrough generally contains the quickest way to get an ending.
Alternative routes also exist and you can play around with the options all on
your own (which is actually the point of the game). Check the Flowchart for the
entire outline:

Use the <Save> point indicator to know when to save and start reload for trying
another path. This saves you replaying the entire game, and the beginning is
rather lengthy. You do have to replay the entire game for the accessory option
at the very start. Picking the Item option at the start (Yes) will enable the
variation for the last ending.

XX.)                    FAQ                                          GXX00
===============================================================================

Q) Can I play this game without knowing any Japanese?
A) Certainly not. I mean, you can play it, get through it, getting an ending
  (if not a bad one) is guaranteed but enjoyment factor will probably be close
  to zero if you do not understand any of the story.
