Yo! Welcome to my One Piece FAQ! This is an RPG game which you take
control of 3 young pirates in search of the treasure called "Inishie no
Kakera" with the help of the other pirates who will aid you on your
journey. This is great game, though so sit back, relax and read!

2. Why should I make this Guide?
----------
I bought this game last Wednesday and I played it for 4 days. Well, for
those who don't understand Japanese, this is your opportunity! I'll try
my best to cover up some Japanese in this Guide!

3. Controls
----------
Directional Pad/Analog Stick
Field- Move ship
Status- Move up or down
Battle- Choose Techniques (Help Card), Choose who will you
attack
X Button
Field- Brakes (or Stop)
Status- Move automatically to the bottom choice
Battle- Run Away Command
O Button
Field- Confirm
Status- Confirm
Battle- Attack Command

Field- Not Used
Status- Not Used
Battle- Defend Command

Field- Opens the Status Menu
Status- Exits automatically without having select the Exit
Battle- Auto Battle (for the rest of the turn, press X to
cancel)

*Once you returned to the Grand Map Menu, all of the weapons,
accessories and Carddass you obtained are still yours but you will start
your quest from the beginning so think twice before attempting to go
back. Saving your game can be only done on the Grand Map.

The Option Menu contains a lot stuff that you can see or watch.

Movie
Carddass Lecture Movie (the physical card game rules)
Opening Movie (Don't press the Start button!!)
Prologue (After you finished editing you own characters)
Carddass System and Data Load
You can load your Carddass Data here and view the cards you obatined
during your journey.
Exit
Return to the Title Mode or on Grand Map Menu.

5. Starting your Journey
----------
Here are the steps accomplishing to create your own party:
1. Once you start the game, Luffy will introduce himself and welcomes
you to the world of One Piece. In this story, you (the Hero) will get to
take part in the game! Then choose any color by pressing the Left or
Right Directional Pad or Analog Stick you want to the Hero and if that
satisfies you, press O to finish.
2.Next, the character type. The character type is the statistics of each
charcter and affects your status as well. For the Hero, here are the 5
character types that you can choose:
Luffy Type Buggy Type Kuro Type Krieg Type Arlong Type
Attack - 50 Attack - 40 Attack - 30 Attack - 50 Attack - 50
Defense- 40 Defense- 40 Defense- 30 Defense- 50 Defense- 40
Speed - 30 Speed - 30 Speed - 50 Speed - 10 Speed - 20
Choose whichever you like, as long as you are satisfied in the character
type you chose.
3. Then, the Hero's name. Now this is the hardest part (for those who
don't understand Japanese) since the maximum characters is 4. I've
provided some Japanese, both Hirigana and Katakana and here are the

Feel free to print them, I give you permission for that and also keep it
for your future Japanese lessons (in case you want to learn). Once you
are done...
4. It's time to edit your Male partner! Zoro will come in and you will
be able to choose any partner you want! Basically, I like the guy with
the bandanna with his Japanese like clothes but it's up to you who do
you want to choose. After that, choose your partner's color.
5. Now, the character type. You get again to choose 5 different
character types and they are:

Attack - 50 Attack - 40 Attack - 20 Attack - 40 Attack - 30
Defense- 20 Defense- 30 Defense- 30 Defense- 20 Defense- 50
Spped - 30 Speed - 30 Speed - 50 Speed - 40 Speed - 20
Then next, name your partner.
6. It's the Female Partner's turn! Sanji will come in and gets you to
pick the lovely ladies. Hmm...my suggestion is don't pick kids. After
choosing, pick your partner's color costume.
7. The character type. You have a choice of 5 types for the female
partner and they're:
Nami Type Alvida Type Tashigi Type Vivi Type Kureha Type
Attack - 30 Attack - 40 Attack - 50 Attack - 20 Attack - 40
Defense- 30 Defense- 50 Defense- 10 Defense- 30 Defense- 10
Speed - 40 Speed - 10 Speed - 40 Speed - 50 Speed - 50
Damn! Some of their defense are HORRIBLE!! I recommend using Alvida or
Nami.
8. Then, the girl's name. Make sure it's a cute name!
9. You're done creating your party, but what about your Kaizoku Dan
(Pirate Group) name? Usopp will come in and will ask to name your group
consisting of 4 characters.
10. Last, your motto or catchphrase? Luffy comes in and explains on how
to make a catchphrase consisting of 12 characters with the use of
punctuation marks and don't leave a space. Here is my example (ignore
the quotation mark):
"Minnatachi!Tatakauze!"
It's up to you on how will you make a catchphrase that will encourage
you or your party. If you don't like it, you can change it anytime on
the Grand Map Menu and selecting Option.
11. Nami will ask you if this is your desired party? If you like it,
then let's get the show on road! Ready to go!!
