game series.
Playoffs- Take a team through the playoffs if you don't want to play
a full season.
Spring Training- Create a character and try to make the team through
spring training. A season follows.
Home Run Derby- Anything can happen in this slugfest. Take the best hitters
to the plate and let them do what they do best: hit. Hit
anywhere from 2 to 30 outs (by evens).

Some of these strategies apply to baseball in general while some are
game specific.
Lineups:
First Slot- Usually put your fastest runner here.
Second Slot- If you put your most consistent runner here so you can
move your first hitter around the bases.
Third Slot- Most people usually put there strongest hitter here or the
fourth slot.
Fourth Slot- Most people usually put there strongest hitter here or
the third slot.
Fifth Slot- This is a very tricky slot. You want someone who can get a lot
of RBI's since the first, second or third hitters might be on
base. Of course, you don't someone important since the fourth
hitter often makes the last out. Put a well rounded hitter here
that can hit for power and to get on base.
Ninth Slot- You probably want to put your weakest hitter here, the pitcher
if you are playing no DH.
Base Running:
If you have men on third and first you can make them both run but only
have the guy who started on third run back. You will have runners on 2nd and
3rd instead of on the corners.
Hitting against Left Handers:
This strategy has been extensively tested by me. It works against just about
every left-handed pitcher that doesn't throw a screwball. This only works in
batting cursor mode.
When you see where the pitch is being thrown position the cursor right where
it is below and to the left of the ball. Then, when it is almost at the
plate swing while moving the cursor up-right. This creates a lot of home-run
chances.
Here are few tricks you can use if the game is against your favor.
-Turn the batting cursor off and when the ball is thrown, swing while
pressing down. After doing this a couple of times, you will be getting
double after double while scoring a run every time.
-Hold down L2 while pressing the D-Pad and a pitch type to get more
power and a chance at Total Control Hitting.
-This is for an easy 3 outs. First, make a catch, it doesn't matter who, and throw
it in to second base. Make sure it doesn't hit the ground. Now hold down and
triangle at the same time. Eventually, your centerfielder will move in and your
shortstop will overthrow the secondbaseman. If your centerfielder makes the
catch, you get another out. You can do this twice in one inning.
This section is to provide you with a list of all the players in the game. The players
are listed by there rating. It is provided in a list by teams.
