01.)                    INTRODUCTION                                 G0100
===============================================================================

Welcome to 'Atlantis no Nazo' for the NES, released by Sunsoft in 1986 and also
planned for release by Activision as 'Super Pitfall II' at some point. Due to
this cancellation it is only available in Japan but the game is fully English.

Suggestions, comments or errors - email me about it. Enjoy!

02.)                    BASICS                                       G0200
===============================================================================

You start the game with seven lives. You lose one for getting touched by an
enemy or anything the enemy fires (drops maybe), fall down into the abyss,
explode a bomb near yourself or run out of time.

Your aim is to reach the boss, but the secondary goals are to find a lot of
treasure and with the help of items. These items are described below.

There are many, many different paths through the game by taking different
doorways. There is always an obvious way to continue and often you get a clear
choice. and then there are very hidden "warps" as there are actually no doors,
or just invisible ones. Where a door takes you is impossible to tell until to
try. Obviously this guide is here to tell you where you are going.

Controls:
`````````
Left and Right walks or faces into that direction. Down is used for crouching.
A jumps. Use the direction keys to alter this. You can also alter your guy
while already in the air - NES physics style. If you do a running jump you
can also reach much higher ledges, and avoid enemies as well. A small jump is
often required, thus only jump up straight into the air and move the direction
a little when in the air. You can also use blocks or columns to stop your jump
from going to far, maybe more of an advanced technique. Icy regions make it
hard to reach higher platforms you normally would use a running jump to reach.
It is therefore advices to keep the pace going as you jump across peeks and try
not to come to a sudden halt. You may be forced into making a really awkward
jump from a tiny ledge; and lets face it: it is just so much cooler to see a
player jumping across platforms like a daredevil than a scaredy-cat. Double-
jumping is what I refer to when immediately jumping again when landing. It will
give you a boost to reach higher ledges but is difficult master. Do not mistake
this for a modern "double jump" where you just press it again in the air.
B throws a bomb (okay so maybe they are dynamite sticks but I will continue
saying bomb); if you duck and throw it will not drop so far away, if you jump
and throw a bomb it will have a slightly longer arc. Using bombs is not only
good against enemies but also for opening closed doors.
START pauses the game.
The game also makes use of the microphone that came in a Japanese controller.
Its use is described in the Items section. This kind of screws you over if you
have this on a non-Japanese hardware but then you should not really get it
working with some kind modifications anyway. Lastly, the microphone use is
limited to just a minor feature you can live without.
Display:
````````
Before each zone you get an introduction screen. It will display your score
as usual at the top, mention which zone you are about to play and also display
the items you are currently holding. Finally you also have the mount of lives
in the bottom right corner.

During the levels the display also shows the score at the top of the screen.
You control the explorer guy in the center. Interactions in this screen include
entering doors, bombing enemies and doors, opening chests (simply walk into
them) and picking up items. There are also enemies in the game and some of them
drop projectiles.

Doors:
``````
There are three kind of ways to traverse through the level and there are two
kind of doors.
One is the regular door which is either closed or open. To open a closed door
you need to bomb it. This also means that if a door is suspended in mid-air
then there is no way to ever bomb this door open and you will never be able to
go through it. Sometimes this door is invisible and must first be bombed to
reveal the outline. Another bomb is necessary to open it as well.
The second type of door is more like a warp, since it is an invisible door and
also always open. I still refer to it as a door because the zone you end up in
usually has you come from a door. There is no actual way of knowing where a
warp is besides walking into it.
The third kind of traveling is done by committing suicide. It sounds strange
but usually you will need to blast yourself with a bomb or drop into the abyss
at a certain spot to reach a zone.
Items:
``````
There is a total of eight items. Most of them have an immediate effect on the
game as soon as you pick it up. Its effect is lost when the item is lost too
such as when dying. Note that an item will not appear in a level if you already
have it in your inventory.

Name:  Bulb
Found: 4, 18, 38, 47, 68, 80
Use:   You will see the area for a short time when you explode a bomb. Without
      this item you might be doomed in some levels. I highly suggest you grab
      this as soon as possible.

Name:  Boot
Found: 6, 22, 53, 64, 87
Use:   Enables jumping on clouds which is required for some levels but not for
      completing the game.

Name:  S
Found: 5, 32, 62
Use:   Superbomb, kills every enemy on the screen instead of just the local
      target.

Name:  Up
Found: 9, 50
Use:   Kind of useless. You gain 3 points whenever you press Up on the
      controller. There are far better ways to get points. Turbo controller
      users might find this interesting to cheat on their score, but then
      again using a turbo controller is kind of cheating eh?

Name:  2 (Double)
Found: 66, 75
Use:   Doubles treasure chest contents. Thus if you pick up a chest worth 10
      points you will a little "x2" next to the pop-up text to indicate you
      get this twice. Good for these record-breakers.

Name:  Clock
Found: 25, 35, 52, 77
Use:   Slows down the timer. Great to have this icon.

Name:  Mic
Found: 29, 44, 55, 66, 98
Use:   Sing into the second controller to trigger all enemies freezing. Instead
      of singing you can also just make a random loud noise of course.

Name:  Star
Found: 10, 54, 88
Use:   Invincibility. Do not fall down and lose this one if you can.

Name:  Treasure
Found: Almost every zone
Use:   Not a "real" item but just adds to your score. Comes in many forms
      starting with 1 and up to 1,000,000; often stacked on top of each other.

Enemies:
````````
Bird
May drops triangle things down. Do not ask. These are the first enemies you
encounter but actually not the easiest ones to avoid. They usually fly high
up and will not bother you directly but their "projectiles" are somewhat
annoying.
Worth 50 pts to kill.
Snail
These slow-moving creatures are normally in caves and fall into some gap where
they just get stuck. Easy to remove from the surface of the... Atlantis. They
can shield themselves from your bombs with their shell - sneaky buggers.
Worth 30 pts to kill.
Fish
Always jumps out of the water into your direction, sometimes schooling. Tends
to be predictable.
Worth 30 pts to kill.
Worm
Kind of slow but better than the snails.
Worth 20 pts to kill.
Bee
They are slow flyers and home into your position, but they are stupid and
will miss by a mile and slowly turn around to follow you again. Or maybe not
it really depends how fast you even get by them.
Worth 10 pts to kill.
Scorpion
These killers stand still at one location and just want to block our path.
When they are in combination with mummies (and they often are) then they can
block a vital path and you need to act quickly before the mummy homes in on
you.
Worth 10 pts to kill.
Slime
Can jump from ground to ceiling when possible, very fast for that action but
only mediocre crawler. You want to hope it is not jumping.
Worth 20 pts to kill.
Skeleton
Jump around and mummify you when touched. Easy to avoid since it crawls out
from the ground and jumps over you. Simply wait a second before advancing as
it jumps. In tight areas you will have to be more careful or place a good
bomb.
Worth 50 pts to kill.
Monster
Shoots fish at you pretty fast. Jumps out of water. Probably the second
toughest of the enemies in this game.
Worth 100 pts to kill.
Mummy
One touch will mummify you. May also shoot fireballs. If it does then this is
a tough foe and probably worse than the Monster. If it just slowly crawls
around then I would not be worried too much. Can come in groups to make them
slightly more fierce, a group of fire-spitting mummies on the other hand...
These guys take three bombs to kill.
Worth 100 pts to kill.
Zavira
End boss statues. Spits multiple fireballs and there are more than one
statue. Cannot be defeated in any conventional way and "beating" him ends the
game.
Secrets:
````````

*Secret Final Zone:
In Zone 20, you'll see 3 big Moai statues standing next to each other and the
message "KEYWORD NAGOYA" on the screen. In Japanese NA means 7, GO means 5 and
YA means 8. So throw dynamite 7 times on top of the left statue, 5 times on top
of the middle statue and 8 times on top of the right statue. If done right,
you'll be warped to what is also called the Final Zone but not to be confused
with the actually end of the game.

*Invincibility:
At the title screen, on controller 1, press B 33 times, then hold Up & Select
at the same time and then (while still holding the buttons) press A 22 times.
Now, while still holding the buttons, on controller 2, press and hold Down, A &
B and press Start on controller 1.

*Level Select:
At the title screen, press Select 33 times on controller 1, then press A 22
times on controller 2, then at the same time press and hold A, B & Start on
controller 1. Keep holding them until you start the game. Once in a level,
press Select to automatically increase levels.

Cheats:
```````
Game too tough for you? Yes it is quite tough. Use these cheats (Game Genie) to
help you get through the levels.
Lives:
SUVEAOVK
Invincible & No Timer:
SXOUYYAX
SZNUPZAX
SZOLPGAX
SXUAAPAX
The Invincible cheat does not prevent you from dying when falling down of
course, and you can still get mummified. In some cases you MUST blow yourself
up to reach a doorway which means you need to turn this code off temporarily.
===============================================================================
03.)                    WALKTHROUGH                                  G0300
===============================================================================
There used to be a flowchart on GameFAQs but it is gone now. There are some on
the web but they all seem to have mistakes of sorts or are not clear enough.
The game is not quite easy to map out. Making an ASCII representation of this
would be insane so we will have to do without one.
For the shortest route the secret is to warp ahead the best way. First go to 1,
then 2, then 3, 6, 8, 10 and here take the secret warp to Zone 25. This level
takes you all the way to 94 if you take the correct exit. From 94 you can only
got ahead to 97 and this leads to 100 already. 10 levels to finish the game.
You need the boots to manage this feat though as one level requires some cloud
walking but the good news is that Zone 6 contains one already.
A more normal approach is to at least touch half the levels to reach the boss.
It does not change the outcome of the game but you will have had more from it.
The route I recommend in that case is 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 16, 19, 21,
23, 27, 30, 32, 33, 34, 36, 37, 38, 40, 43, 44, 45, 48, 47, 52, 56, 57, 58, 60,
61, 65, 67, 69, 70, 72, 73, 74, 75, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 85, 89, 92, 96,
98, 99 and the Final Zone 100. For other shortcuts you should consult the
flowchart after all. If you do not want to play through the entire game and
then you can always chart your own path using it.
Note that a lot of description here is written from the perspective coming from
the early levels to the later ones. This means that if you really want to get
far and work backwards then you might get confused of "on the left". I have
tried to keep the descriptions from the perspective of the level design but I
can also not verify how the level might be played in reverse when wanting to go
from, lets say, Zone 94 to Zone 41 rather than actually going forward as most
normal players will.
Mystery Adventure Start...
~~~~~~~
Zone  1
_______

Treasure: 2 (100; 500)
Enemies:  Bird
Doors:    3 (Z2, Z11, Z33)

This being the first level it is naturally easy. First run left to grab the 500
treasure and if you wish to find a really secret doorway that goes all the way
to <ZONE 33> you can drop off the ledge on the left. There is no indication
that there is a door, and you really need to drop off dead straight and not
jump. You basically just jump up and then slightly tilt left and keep doing so
until you eventually drop off the ledge into the zone. Daunting for the first
level maybe.

If instead you follow the path right you soon come across another treasure
chest. Shortly after that there is a door in the trees taking you to <ZONE 2>.

If you purposely miss out on this by jumping over and continue right there will
soon be another door to <ZONE 11>. You need to bomb this door open to advance.

By the way, warping ahead to zone 33 might sound really fast but actually you
can find better shortcuts soon that will finish the game even quicker; if you
are into that.

~~~~~~~
Zone  2
_______
Treasure: 3 (100; 1,000; 10,000)
Enemies:  Snail
Doors:    4 (Z1, Z3, Z5, Z9)
If you bomb this door you return to <Zone 1>.
Continue left for a fair bit and eventually you seen an open door at the top
that leads to <Zone 3>.
From this door you can continue right around the same amount it took to this
door and near the ceiling is an open door leading to <Zone 9>. This is also the
end of the cave.
If that is still not enough, on the left of this door is the entrance to
but you need to bomb <Zone 5>. Getting to appear takes a little effort. First
you must stand on the right of the previous door, around the same height just
before the steps lead further down. Throw a bomb and it should just land two
spaces left of that door, revealing another one. Do not forget to bomb it once
more to open up!
~~~~~~~
Zone  3
_______

Treasure: 2 (100; 1,000)
Enemies:  Snail, Fish
Doors:    3 (Z2, Z4, Z6)

You can take the door on the left to <Zone 2> if you wish.

From the left door, start running and jumping to the right; this level reminds
me a little bit of Super Mario Bros. It will take a long time but at the end
you are greeted with an open gateway to <Zone 4>.

The third and final door in this level, <Zone 6>, is very tricky to find. From
the door leading to Zone 2 you want to go right until a larger gap in your way.
You should spot this easily. After this there will be four short gaps in the
floor and the zone entrance is found by dropping down into the third on from
the left.

~~~~~~~
Zone  4
_______
Treasure: 2 (100; 1,000)
Enemies:  Skeleton, Bird
Items:    Bulb
Doors:    4 (Z3, Z7, Z10, Z25)
The spikes do not actually hurt you so do not be afraid to move around. The
skeletons are tough for so early in the game. You can only reach the right part
of the level when coming from Zone 10 or Zone 25, including the Bulb. Do not
attempt to jump the game from the left.
The door on the far left leads to <Zone 3>.
From this door, follow the path right and eventually this leads to an open door
to <Zone 7>. If you come from the right side of the level then this door is
across the very large gap in the center.
<Zone 10> is at the top in the center of the level. You can only reach this
when actually coming from Zone 10 itself and just return back inside.
Coming from there means you can jump to the far right and carefully continue
along this way to reach the open door to <Zone 25>.
~~~~~~~
Zone  5
_______

Treasure: 2 (2 x 1; 100,000)
Enemies:  Worm
Items:    S
Doors:    2 (Z2, Z24)

The way to <Zone 2> should be clear to you.

There is an S icon on the left and there is actually a hidden door behind this
icon. Bomb this space and bomb the door that appears to warp quite far ahead
in the game, all the way to <Zone 24>.

~~~~~~~
Zone  6
_______
Treasure: 2 (100; 1,000)
Enemies:  Bird
Item:     Boot
Doors:    2 (Z8, Z32)
You must be coming into this level from Zone 4 and there is no way back.
The boot can be collected just a few steps to the left followed shortly by an
open door to <Zone 8>.
The door to <Zone 32> is hidden in the rock just one tile left of the other
door but at the ground for you to bomb it.
~~~~~~~
Zone  7
_______

Treasure: 2 (1,000; 10,000)
Enemies:  Skeleton, Bee
Doors:    3 (Z4, Z8, Z37)

Bomb the door on the left to find a way to <Zone 4>.

There is a long and boring road to the right that eventually leads to <Zone 8>.

Jump over Zone 8 and take a long leap of faith into the empty space to warp to
<Zone 37>. Do not think I am wrong in this description just because you did not
jump far enough. You really have to take a small running start from the door and
then jump at the last moment to really fly into that warp, and be careful of
the bee(s) around there.

~~~~~~~
Zone  8
_______
Treasure: 15 (15 x 1)
Enemies:  Snail
Doors:    3 (Z10, Z15, Z20)
Starting from the left you have a long way to go until eventually reaching
<Zone 10> in plain sight. There are some average jumps you need to master to
get there but nothing too major.
Before reaching said door is a treasure chest and further left is a small chasm
two ledges wide. There is a hidden door to <Zone 15> right there.
Continue on to the right and eventually you will find <Zone 20>.
~~~~~~~
Zone  9
_______

Treasure: 1 (200,000)
Enemies:  -
Items:    Up
Doors:    2 (Z2, Z8)

Quick one-room level. Either return back to <Zone 2> or grab the treasure
(200,000!) and the icon and continue to <Zone 8> on the right.

~~~~~~~
Zone 10
_______
Treasure: 3 (2 x 100; 10,000)
Enemies:  -
Item:     Star
Doors:    3 (Z4, Z8, Z12)
The far left is the door to <Zone 8>.
If you have the boot item then you can walk on the clouds. It allows for
collecting the star near the left side of the level.
The far right has a door to <Zone 12>.
Just to the right of this door is a hidden door to <Zone 4>. Carefully jump
over the door to Zone 12 to reach it.
~~~~~~~
Zone 11
_______

Treasure: 2 (2 x 50,000)
Enemies:  Worm
Doors:    2 (Z1, Z52)

You can already see the rich treasure below. The left one might look like
trapping you but you can still jump out of there. With the treasure in hand,
there is the way back you came to <Zone 1> if you blow up the door.

The second and really sneaky method to advance is to blow yourself up when
standing on the right treasure chest. You will obviously jump up and descend
into the ground for a moment, only to be greeted by <Zone 52>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 12
_______
Treasure: 3 (20; 100, 10,000)
Enemies:  Bird, Skeleton
Doors:    3 (Z10, Z13, Z14)
Left is a door to <Zone 10>.
Somewhere in the middle is a treasure chest, the first one if coming from the
left. There is a somewhat large gap on the right of this chest followed by a
small one. This contains a hidden door to <Zone 14>.
All the way right is the door to <Zone 13>. I recommend dropping a bomb down
there before jumping down.
~~~~~~~
Zone 13
_______

Treasure: 3 (100; 1,000; 2,000)
Enemies:  Worm, Mummy
Doors:    4 (Z12, Z16, Z22, Z44)

I will describe it from the door to <Zone 12> in the center of the level.

Run left, jump up left and drop down further left to find a small gap, again,
on the left. Bomb this spot to find <Zone 44>.

On the far left side a door to <Zone 16>.

Near the right of the Zone 16 door is a treasure chest. There is a hidden door
on the same spot if you throw a bomb there. It leads to <Zone 22>,

~~~~~~~
Zone 14
_______
Treasure: 2 (1,000; 2,000)
Enemies:  Snail
Doors:    1 (Z12)
Nothing here but some very minor treasure chests and plenty of snails. Hardly
worth coming here as you just need to take the same door back to <Zone 12>.
~~~~~~~
Zone 15
_______

Treasure: 1 (200,000)
Enemies:  -
Doors:    1 (Z8)

Nothing here but a nice 200,000 treasure chest. Jump to get it and bomb the
door open to return to <Zone 8>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 16
_______
Treasure: 2 (5; 100)
Enemies:  Bird, Mummy
Doors:    3 (Z13, Z18, Z19)
The dark blue block on the right side of the level has a door to <Zone 13> and
a secret door to <Zone 18>.
You can traverse through this level jumping over the skeleton and also go
through the large ribs. Be vary of the mummies that lurk down there.
All the way left in this level is the entrance to <Zone 19>, nearby the
skeleton's skull.
~~~~~~~
Zone 17
_______

Treasure: 2 (5; 200,000)
Enemies:  Fish
Doors:    1 (Z19)

You come from <Zone 19> and the obvious door is the only way to continue. There
is a fish jumping around so be a little aware while you pick up the easy
treasure and return to the previous area.

~~~~~~~
Zone 18
_______
Treasure: 3 (500; 5,000; 10,000)
Enemies:  -
Item:     Bulb
Doors:    3 (Z6, Z16, Z26)
Wherever you start this level you have one all doors lined up one top of each
other. The top one leads to <Zone 16> and two secret ones are in the middle of
this line, <Zone 26> and the bottom is a one-way trip to <Zone 6>.
There is also a bulb here you might want to pick up.
~~~~~~~
Zone 19
_______

Treasure: 3 (20; 100; 1,000; 2,000)
Enemies:  Slime
Doors:    4 (Z16, Z17, Z21, Z88)

Coming from <Zone 16> you can go right back.

To proceed you need to go right and eventually you will see a suspicious-looking
S-curve leading up to nowhere. Bombing the end of this area leads to a door to
<Zone 88>. This is a return trip if you want some treasure but that area is also
not very easy.

Shortly after this is a jump up. Jump left and one tile off the drop is a
hidden door to <Zone 17>. This is a little de-tour that leads right back to
here so you might want to take the trip.

On the right of the previous door is an open door to <Zone 21> guarded by a
sneaky slime.

~~~~~~~
Zone 20
_______
Treasure: 0
Enemies:  -
Doors:    2 (Z8, Final Zone)
Here you can only find three Moa statues and a cryptic message. Both doors lead
back to <Zone 8>.
The super secret is found in the secret word "Nagoya". In Japanese "Na" means
seven, "Go" means five, "Ya" means eight. While standing on the statues you
need to throw bombs 7 times on top of the left statue, 5 times on top of the
middle statue and 8 times on top of the right statue. This should warp to a
<Final Zone>, not to be confused with the actual final boss zone.
 |~~~~~~~~~~~~|
 |"Final Zone"|
 |____________|
 Treasure: 1 (4,000,000)
 Enemies:  -
 Doors:    1 (Z20)
 This is a secret zone you can reach from Zone 20 after doing a certain thing
 as described in the zone. Simply touch the boss for 4 million points and
 return back to <Zone 20>.
~~~~~~~
Zone 21
_______

Treasure: 2 (4; 5,000)
Enemies:  Skeleton
Doors:    2 (Z23, Z24)

Coming from Zone 19 you are dropped right at the door to <Zone 23> and you may
want to quickly take it before the skeletons jump on you.

There is of course another zone you get reach. Run left (the treasure is just
4 in this one and if you want the 5,000 points then also run right first) and
jump into the bottom left corner. The hidden warp is actually not in the corner
but one space to the right. Finding this takes you to <Zone 24>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 22
_______
Treasure: 2 (2 x 50,000)
Enemies:  -
Item:     Boot
Doors:    1 (Z13)
There is a boot here and some decent treasure. Otherwise just return to
<Zone 13> via the door you came from.
~~~~~~~
Zone 23
_______

Treasure: 1 (10)
Enemies:  Worm, Skeleton
Doors:    2 (Z21, Z27)

Coming from Zone 21, take the door back to <Zone 21> if want for any reason.

Once you jump the gap in the middle you cannot return. The jump is not too hard
itself but the enemies in this narrow corridor surely are. The open door on the
left leads to <Zone 27>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 24
_______
Treasure: 2 (10; 100)
Enemies:  Bee, Mummy
Doors:    2 (Z34, Z35)
In the middle of the level is a small gap with a treasure chest. It is quite
tricky to jump out from there once you drop down. Instead lob a bomb into the
gap from the side and reveal a door, blowing up again to open of course. This
leads to a small level <Zone 34> which will return you back here afterwards.
If you went down to the zone then you have to jump back out and take the normal
door at the far left side to <Zone 35>.
Zone 25
_______
Treasure: 2 (2 x 50,000)
Enemies:  Bird
Item:     Clock
Doors:    3 (Z4, Z33, Z41)
Small level, just watch out for the birds especially when you go for the clock.
Left door leads to <Zone 33>, right door to <Zone 4>.
There is a secret hidden door just to the right of the one leading to Zone 4.
It warps far ahead to <Zone 41>.
~~~~~~~
Zone 26
_______

Treasure: 2 (100; 5,000)
Enemies:  -
Doors:    2 (Z18, Z32)

This is a jumping zone that just leads to the next level. There is nothing
else here but some minor treasure and some messages the developers have left
in the sky.

Left door leads to <Zone 18> and the right door leads to <Zone 32>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 27
_______
Treasure: 3 (3 x 1,000)
Enemies:  Fish, Monster
Doors:    4 (Z23, Z28, Z29, Z56)
The left edge of the area has a door leading to <Zone 23>, assuming you come
from here you do not want to go back since there is no way to go anywhere in
that level.
Progressing right is not too hard. Eventually you will come to two closed doors.
Take the left door to <Zone 29> and the right one to <Zone 28>.
If you continue on you can come to the end of the level. It appears to just
hold a treasure chest but there is a suspicious-looking platform at the bottom
which warps to <Zone 56>. This is quite a far warp.
~~~~~~~
Zone 28
_______

Treasure: 4 (2 x 1,000; 3,000, 5,000)
Enemies:  Worm
Doors:    2 (Z27, Z30)

This level is pitch dark. Luckily you start on safe ground and can see the
slimes fall down on the right. Avoid this trap as you continue right slowly. If
you want to head back to <Zone 27> then bomb the spot you started out at. It is
a corner and therefore not too hard to bomb.

On the far right you eventually come to two treasure chests on the same screen
with a small higher ledge in-between them. There is an open door in the middle
leading to <Zone 30> which you probably want to take as quickly as possible to
get out of here but the treasure behind it could also quickly grabbed.

~~~~~~~
Zone 29
_______
Treasure: 2 (3; 100,000)
Enemies:  Worm, Skeleton
Item:     Mic
Doors:    4 (Z27, Z31, Z32, Z42)
This is a junction level with many doors. The far left of the level leads to
<Zone 27>.
Going left from here and a couple of daredevil jumps later you can find three
adjacent doors. The right-most leads to <Zone 31>, the middle one to <Zone 42>
and the left one to <Zone 32>. Do NOT take the middle door!
~~~~~~~
Zone 30
_______

Treasure: 2 (2 x 50)
Enemies:  Slime
Doors:    2 (Z28, Z32)

You start this zone on the left with a door to <Zone 28>.

This level is icy and therefore slippery. If you want to make the jump to the
ledge above you must first stand all the way left at the edge. After multiple
small jumps you will reach a large mountain with an open door in the bottom
left. Make the jump to leave this place and arrive at <Zone 32>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 31
_______
Treasure: 1 (100,000)
Enemies:  Skeleton
Doors:    1 (Z29)
You come from <Zone 29> and the only door leads back there. Avoid the jumping
skeleton while you grab the nice treasure and then head back.
~~~~~~~
Zone 32
_______

Treasure: 2 (20; 50)
Enemies:  Skeleton
Item:     S
Doors:    2 (Z33, Z37)

There are two doors on the left side. One is already in plain sight and the
hidden one is just one tile on the right. Bombing it will take a little bit of
skill but there are no enemies at this area of the zone so not much trouble. The
left one takes you to <Zone 33> whereas the right one warps you a little bit
further to <Zone 37>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 33
_______
Treasure: 3 (1; 200; 1,000)
Enemies:  Scorpion, Mummy
Doors:    1 (Z34)
This is just a one-way level to <Zone 34> on the right. Nothing hidden here at
all. The level starts rather easy but later it gets more crammed and a mummy
might corner you with scorpions blocking the way on the other end.
~~~~~~~
Zone 34
_______

Treasure: 3 (3 x 1,000)
Enemies:  Fish, Monster
Doors:    2 (Z36, Z37)

I will be describing it coming from the left side. Soon you will reach a
treasure chest and that means the real action is about to start. Perform those
insane jumps across the water and soon you will see another treasure chest.
Standing on the slightly higher pillar on the left (two left of the chest) and
doing a rather high and long jump right warps you to <Zone 37>.

I recommend the zone warp as you will be done with the level immediately and
also skip an annoying level next. Else continue to the door on the far right.

~~~~~~~
Zone 35
_______
Treasure: 2 (100; 100,000)
Enemies:  -
IconsL    Clock
Doors:    1 (Z24)
You are only here for treasure. Grab it, then return back to <Zone 24>.
~~~~~~~
Zone 36
_______

Treasure: 2 (1,000; 10,000)
Enemies:  Snail
Doors:    2 (Z32, Z37)

The only way to reach this level is from <Zone 32> and the way back is pretty
clear: bomb the spot you started at.

To make it across this level you want to be slow because every few seconds the
lights will flicker. Go right, up the second floor and then left until you find
is a column of torches with a treasure in the distance. You will recognize this
from the tiny gap leading to the third floor. Go up there and walk left to warp
to <Zone 37>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 37
_______
Treasure: 3 (4; 1,000, 10,000)
Enemies:  Fish, Snail
Doors:    2 (Z38, Z39)
There are two doors on the far right of the level. One is in plain sight,
taking you to <Zone 38>. The similar-looking gap on the right of this has a
hidden door to <Zone 39>. Coming from the left side of the level has a few
tough jumps.
~~~~~~~
Zone 38
_______

Treasure: 2 (100; 10,000)
Enemies:  Bird
Item:     Bulb
Doors:    2 (Z37, Z40)

Oh yes, this level is pitch dark. If you want to go back and find an
alternative route then this is your chance to take the door to <Zone 37> again.

Remember that a bomb will light up an area for a millisecond.

Continuing on you can find a bulb icon. Be aware that this is on top of a chasm
so you can slowly creep up to it and grab it but do not take a single step
forward after that. Further right there is a secret door to <Zone 40> on the
last platform before a large chasm you cannot cross.

~~~~~~~
Zone 39
_______
Treasure: 3 (500; 50,000; 100,000)
Enemies:  Bees
Doors:    2 (Z37, Z49)
This looks like a one-way trip back to <Zone 37> via the entrance door but
there is a trick to reach the lower door as well.
Throw a bomb on the tile lined up with the door below and stand on this tile as
it explodes. It will kill you of course, but you will fall into the doorway
below and warp to <Zone 49>. Sneaky.
~~~~~~~
Zone 40
_______

Treasure: 1 (20,000)
Enemies:  Snail
Doors:    2 (Z38, Z43)

Should you really want to go to <Zone 38> then there is a door on the left.

Real adventurers advancing want to find <Zone 43> on the far right (this is a
one-way trip). This place is icy and thus slippery but the snails are rather
dumb enemies and you will not have much trouble here. The jumps are almost too
easy for a level this far in the game.

~~~~~~~
Zone 41
_______
Treasure: 1 (100,000)
Enemies:  -
Doors:    2 (Z25, Z94)
No enemies here, just a door going to <Zone 25> on the right and a hidden one
leading to <Zone 94> just one tile right of this one. Blowing it up is the
tricky part. Stand on the left, jump and then throw the bomb in mid-air. It
should bounce just in the middle and not hurt you.
~~~~~~~
Zone 42
_______

Treasure: 0
Enemies:  -
Doors:    -

This is a trap. The zone only contains a "Black Hole" and you will fall to your
death immediately, losing a life and re-entering the level where you continue
losing a life over and over again. In other words if you have entered this level
you might as well restart the game.

~~~~~~~
Zone 43
_______
Treasure: 3 (500; 5,000, 10,000)
Enemies:  Slime
Doors:    2 (Z44, Z53)
Shortly after dropping from Zone 40 and going right you have to some mediocre
jumps. There is also a treasure chest. Notice the four tall pillars on the
right and bomb the third one from the left to find a door to <Zone 53>. I
recommend going there for a quick treasure hunt and you will be right back.
Continue right until you find a door to <Zone 44>.
~~~~~~~
Zone 44
_______

Treasure: 2 (2 x 1,000)
Enemies:  Bee
Item:     Mic
Doors:    1 (Z45)

This is TOUGH level. Each jump is almost a leap of faith. If you have the boots
then you can make this slightly different but using a cloud as platform here
and there does not really improve your chances of making it across. The only
way out of this place IS to make it to the right and leave for <Zone 45>. Good
luck!

~~~~~~~
Zone 45
_______
Treasure: 2 (4; 4,000)
Enemies:  Snail
Doors:    3 (Z44, Z46, Z48)
You will probably start out on the right of this level which is going to <Zone
44>.
The left part of this level, which is actually rather easy platforming with
some dumb snails thrown in, has two opens doors waiting for you. The one on
the far left is to <Zone 46> and the other one to <Zone 48>. Both ways continue
about the same length and later merge in Zone 56.
~~~~~~~
Zone 46
_______

Treasure: 1 (4,000)
Enemies:  Snail
Doors:    3 (Z46, Z50 x 2)

This super easy level has a door back to <Zone 46> from which you must have
come from, else there is a normal door to <Zone 50> and a hidden one. Since
there is not much point to find the hidden one as it also leads to the same
spot in <Zone 50> I do not recommend wasting your time. If you must know, it is
slightly left of the treasure chest, five tiles away.

~~~~~~~
Zone 47
_______
Treasure: 2 (10; 400)
Enemies:  Bee, Skeleton
Item:     Bulb
Doors:    2 (Z48; Z52)
This level is a long stretch of some kind of desert. The left side is a door to
<Zone 52> and the right side to <Zone 48>. There is a Bulb item sitting right
in the middle of your path and the enemies are nothing special, easy to avoid
in this open area.
~~~~~~~
Zone 48
_______

Treasure: 3 (200; 500; 1,000)
Enemies:  Worms
Doors:    2 (Z45; Z47)

It is pitch black here but actually that is not so bad. The position you come
from <zone 45> also takes you back there.

Use your bombs as a guide and keep going left. There is a gap between each
section and you can tell by the worms dropping down or the treasure chest on
the opposite side that is slightly lower than your position. As you make it
across three gaps you will automatically run into the doorway to reach <Zone
47>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 49
_______
Treasure: 1 (200,000)
Enemies:  Skeleton
Doors:    2 (Z39, Z50)
This level is a long tunnel of skeletons. The left door goes to <Zone 39> and
if you came from there then you could return to get the treasure but there is
no way to continue. The treasure in this level is a lot more interesting.
The door to the right leads to <Zone 50>.
~~~~~~~
Zone 50
_______

Treasure: 3 (10; 300; 400)
Enemies:  Worm
Doors:    2 (Z51, Z52)

Whether you arrived here from zone 46 or 49 does not matter since you always
have to make your way to the left side of the level. There are two doors which
are clearly seen. The top one goes to <Zone 52> and the bottom one to <Zone
51>. Picking one or the other is not a shortcut and they both eventually lead
to Zone 56 but I think you are better off going to Zone 52.

~~~~~~~
Zone 51
_______
Treasure: 2 (500; 1,000)
Enemies:  Fish, Snail
Doors:    2 (Z54, Z56)
This level is hardcore. Icy and fish flying around and also snails thrown in
for good measure. Some tough, tough jumps are required to progress.
Normally you start out from the left side. Going right you will eventually
come to some lower plateaus. There is a hidden door to the right of the last
plateau. It leads to <Zone 54> which is not only for a good item but contains
that unique 1,000,000 treasure chest. It returns you back here afterwards.
Reach the end of the level to find <Zone 56>.
~~~~~~~
Zone 52
_______

Treasure: 2 (500; 1,000)
Enemies:  Bee
Item:     Clock
Doors:    2 (Z56, Z91)

If you come from Zone 48 then you cannot return. In that case you want to
go all the way left to find a door going to <Zone 56>.

There is a hefty shortcut to find if you stand at the leftmost part of the
bridge. Blow yourself up to land in <Zone 91>. This is a one-way trip.

~~~~~~~
Zone 53
_______
Treasure: 1 (200,000)
Enemies:  Bird
Item:     Boot
Doors:    1 (Z43)
There is only a way back to <Zone 43> here and the treasure chest is a nice
reward for finding this level. Watch the birds.
~~~~~~~
Zone 54
_______

Treasure: 2 (500; 1,000,000)
Enemies:  Bee
Item:     Star
Doors:    1 (Z51)

So this level gives you a star, that might already be worth visiting. From the
start you want to jump on the small niche above and then reach the star. If you
have the boot (if not then forget this level!) you will land on the cloud
below. Going further right eventually leads to some saucy treasure but it is
rather risky.

Use the door you came in from to return to <Zone 53>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 55
_______
Treasure: 1 (200,000)
Enemies:  -
Item:     Mic
Doors:    1 (Z59)
This zone is only reached from <Zone 59> which also takes you back there. Note
that zone is only reached via the level select cheat.
~~~~~~~
Zone 56
_______

Treasure: 3 (20; 200; 1,000)
Enemies:  Mummy, Scorpion
Doors:    3 (Z57, Z62, Z76)

This is a big hub of a level. Surprisingly there are more ways to get here than
leave. It is easiest to describe the exits and you can make your way to there
from your arrival point.

There is a large blue wall in the center of the level. It has a not-so-secret
door to <Zone 57>.

On the right of above is a secret door. You have to bomb the corner of the
wall to find it. It leads to <Zone 62>.

To reach the gateway to <Zone 76> you have to do some sneaky climbing to the
top of the columns and then jump over to the left side across the very large
gap. From there you can make the jump with ease.

~~~~~~~
Zone 57
_______
Treasure: 2 (50; 100)
Enemies:  Slime, Snail
Doors:    2 (Z56; Z58)
This spooky effect is more annoying than anything.
There is really nothing hard in this level but for some jumps being blocked off
by wandering slime or snails. All this is slow paced. The door on the right
goes to <Zone 56> and the open door on the left to <Zone 58>.
~~~~~~~
Zone 58
_______

Treasure: 3 (10; 2 x 50)
Enemies:  Monster, Snail
Doors:    2 (Z57, Z60)

This level is mostly dark but the light flickers once in a while. There is a
door on the left side of the level leading to <Zone 57>.

If you come from the left then eventually you will pass through a gate to
<Zone 60> but there are some tricky jumps to make in the dark. This and the
monsters thrown in all add up to a tough level.

~~~~~~~
Zone 59
_______
Treasure: 4 (3; 5; 200; 3,000)
Enemies:  Bird
Doors:    3 (Z26; Z55; Z69)
The only way to reach this zone is through the level select trick. I do not
know if this was a mistake from the developers as they are three legitimate
ways out of this level and one leading to a zone only reachable from this one,
but nevertheless it should be included for completion's sake.
~~~~~~~
Zone 60
_______

Treasure: 3 (30; 500; 4,000)
Enemies:  Slime
Doors:    3 (Z61; Z64; Z68)

Whether you start from the door on the left or the one slightly more right, two
of the exits are in this place and you do not really want to bother exploring
the rest of this cave. It is packed with slimes and unworthy treasure chests.

Either take the left door to <Zone 61> or fall through the gap to find <Zone
68>.

If you feel adventurous you can seek out the door further right leading to
<Zone 64>. That zone is a return trip with just a boot and some minor treasure.

~~~~~~~
Zone 61
_______
Treasure: 1 (1,000)
Enemies:  Slime, Snail
Doors:    2 (Z60; Z65)
Easy level. As far as I know there are only slimes here and the snails always
crawl on the cave roof.
The left has an open door to <Zone 65> and the right has a door to <Zone 60>.
~~~~~~~
Zone 62
_______

Treasure: 1 (300)
Enemies:  Skeleton, Worm
Item:     S
Doors:    2 (Z56, Z63)

Unless you want to seek out the 'S' this is a super easy. Avoiding the
skeletons and worms is not too tough but the two doors are so close together
that it feels odd not to just skip ahead. The left door leads to <Zone 56> and
the right one to <Zone 63>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 63
_______
Treasure: 1 (200,000)
Enemies:  -
Doors:    1 (Z60)
Dropping in from Zone 62, grab the treasure and reveal the hidden door in the
middle of the floor. it leads to <Zone 60>.
~~~~~~~
Zone 64
_______

Treasure: 2 (5; 10,000)
Enemies:  -
Item:     Boot
Doors:    1 (Z60)

If you need a boot you can grab it high up. Else you can take that minor
treasure before returning to <Zone 60>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 65
_______
Treasure: 2 (2,000; 20,000)
Enemies:  Monster, Snail
Doors:    2 (Z61, Z67)
Icy level but luckily there are not much hazards to consider. The monsters are
also just ok to get through unharmed. The left has a door to <Zone 61> and on
the right is a door to <Zone 67>. If the latter is closed then you need to
carefully bomb it first; and by careful I mean do not get stuck in the gap on
the left of it.
~~~~~~~
Zone 66
_______

Treasure: 1 (100)
Enemies:  -
Item:     2, Mic
Doors:    2 (Z71, Z80)

This "level" is just a jump from one side to other. If you do not have one of
the above items then you will pick it up in the process and you can also get a
lousy treasure chest if you come from the left. Going to <Zone 71> is actually
traversing backwards in the game so I recommend you seek out <Zone 80> even if
you just came from there. The only reason to go to zone 71 is for some treasure
if you are into that.

~~~~~~~
Zone 67
_______
Treasure: 2 (2,000; 50,000)
Enemies:  Snail
Doors:    2 (Z65; Z69)
Coming from the right you have to take the upper route to get anywhere. You can
also go back to <Zone 65> of course. The left area is a little easier and leads
to <Zone 69> in a short time.
~~~~~~~
Zone 68
_______

Treasure: 2 (2,000; 10,000)
Enemies:  Worm
Doors:    1 (Z72)

This place looks like zero fun but it is actually not too difficult. Throw
bombs to light up the place and slowly jump to the right. There is an open door
in the air which might be hard to spot at first but clearly does not fit the
level pattern. This is a one-way trip to <Zone 72>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 69
_______
Treasure: 1 (10,000)
Enemies:  Bee
Doors:    2 (Z70, Z86)
Overall this level is super easy. Coming from the left you can only go right
and avoiding the bees is a cakewalk. Eventually you will find <Zone 70>.
The tricky part is finding <Zone 86>. Basically you must find the largest of
these pyramids in the background and stand right in the middle of it, lining
yourself up with the tip. Press DOWN on the controller fifty times and you
will warp. Doing this while avoiding the bees is going to be hard.
~~~~~~~
Zone 70
_______

Treasure: 0
Enemies:  -
Doors:    1 (Z72)

A real joke but you can die if you are sleeping. Hold right as you fall to
drop into <Zone 72>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 71
_______
Treasure: 2 (50,000; 500,000)
Enemies:  -
Doors:    2 (Z66; Z72)
So you really want that treasure eh? Else you are better off turning back to
<Zone 66> fast. This place is icy and you need to jump on tiny pillars to make
it across to <Zone 72>. I think the half mil are not worth it but if you are
really so desperate to go back to take another shortcut somewhere then be my
guest.
~~~~~~~
Zone 72
_______

Treasure: 3 (20; 50; 1,000)
Enemies:  Bird, Mummy
Doors:    2 (Z52, Z73)

If you come from zone 70 then you will drop right on another door which goes
to <Zone 52>. This is quite a step back so I do not really recommend going
that direction unless you have a specific reason.

Battling through the horde of mummies is not easy task, and the birds thrown
in for good measure are not helping here. It is advised to stay on the second
floor as long as the scenery allows it. On the right side is a door to <Zone
73>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 73
_______
Treasure: 3 (20; 100; 1,000)
Enemies:  Fish, Snail
Doors:    2 (Z72, Z74)
This is one of those annoying cave levels where you always get stuck in the
scenery. I recommend staying near the top to avoid the fish almost by default.
The top left corner has a door to <Zone 72> and the bottom right of this cave
leads to <Zone 74>. There are really no wrong turns you can take.
~~~~~~~
Zone 74
_______

Treasure: 2 (100; 200)
Enemies:  Skeleton
Doors:    2 (Z73, Z75)

A super easy zone with only skeletons burrowed into the sand. Once they pop out
just wait for them to jump over your head and continue your journey. Left leads
to <Zone 73> and right to <Zone 75>. You do not even have to perform more than
one jump to complete this place.

~~~~~~~
Zone 75
_______
Treasure: 0
Enemies:  Bee
Item:     2
Doors:    2 (Z74, Z77)
You only reach this place from zone 74.
There is only one jump to make, and if you do not care for the "2" item then
this is easy. The bees cannot touch you in this walled-in area so just ignore
them. The jump to reach the 2 and still make the lower door is tough but with
practice you should know how to do it. From the top door (leading back to <Zone
74> of course) jump to the right and not just for the item but way high up
above it, then grab the item on the way down as you steer left. You should just
land in the open door to <Zone 77>.
~~~~~~~
Zone 76
_______

Treasure: 1 (200,000)
Enemies:  -
Doors:    2 (Z56; Z77)
</pre><pre id="faqspan-2">
This short level looks like a door going back to <Zone 56> is the only place to
go but that gap on the right should have given you a hint that this is not just
a gap. Jump into it to land in <Zone 77>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 77
_______
Treasure: 2 (2,000; 50,000)
Enemies:  Worm
Item:     Clock
Doors:    1 (Z78)
Most of these worms will commit suicide with all these gaps in this level. It
is rather tough to proceed but for a level this late you might expect nothing
less. You must be dropping in from the left and the door you seek is at the
very right to <Zone 78>. If you come from that zone then turn around since you
cannot only leave to continue that way.
~~~~~~~
Zone 78
_______

Treasure: 1 (50,000)
Enemies:  Bee
Doors:    2 (Z77, Z79)

Coming from <Zone 77> (you can go back if you wish but there is nowhere else to
go in there) you start in the bottom left corner. The first jump is already a
toughie as you try to land on the large block in the center. Once you make that
you might be wondering how to reach the exit. Simply jump on the small block
left above the door and then jump to the block on the right and slightly
higher. Continue doing that until you reach the top and the right wall has been
climbed. There are bees waiting for you to make this trickier. The next part is
also not easy as you need to slowly jump and turn until you drop on the block
at the very far right almost falling into the abyss. From there you can make it
to <Zone 79>.

Zone 79
_______

Treasure: 3 (2,000; 5,000; 20,000)
Enemies:  Fish, Monster, Snail
Doors:    2 (Z78, Z80)

A linear affair but the monsters really pile up on you. This is made worse by
a couple of gaps in the broken bridge you might not pay attention to when
already battling it out with those foes. The door left goes to <Zone 78> but
you cannot continue once you get there, and therefore you want to take the door
on the right to <Zone 80>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 80
_______
Treasure: 3 (4,000; 30,000; 50,000)
Enemies:  Worm
Doors:    3 (Z66, Z79, Z81)
This place has two layers of platforms and if you are the bottom then the only
way to reach the top layer is with those walls that sometimes part through. You
will know what I mean when you get there. Jumping through the pillar-like walls
is a little tricky. Half-way through the level is an open door to <Zone 66>
which requires a precise jump to touch. Taking this path is mainly for some
bonus items.
The left door leads to <Zone 79> and the right one to <Zone 81>.
~~~~~~~
Zone 81
_______

Treasure: 0
Enemies:  Bird
Doors:    2 (Z80; Z82)

I do not know what to tell you, this really is the entire level. The birds do
not even have a chance to attack you so the only hazard is you bumping your
head into the ceiling. Bottom door goes to <Zone 80>, top door leads to <Zone
82>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 82
_______
Treasure: 0 (2 x 10,000)
Enemies:  Bee
Doors:    2 (Z81, Z83)
This could be the hardest zone in the game. The jumps required here are really
no joke. To top it all off you also have to contend with bees swarming in.
Having a boot here really helps to allow for an extra "ground" to stand on. A
couple of extra jumps that are not so tough will surely be better than dealing
with the alternative.
~~~~~~~
Zone 83
_______

Treasure: 2 (10,000; 50,000)
Enemies:  Bird, Mummy
Doors:    2 (Z85, Z93)

Is it just me or does this level remind you off Castlequest? Nevertheless you
have a door on the left going to <Zone 85> and if you look at this room you
could notice a door-size gap on the opposite end of where hat door is, just
above the path you came in from. This has a hidden warp to <Zone 93>. This
skips a few levels ahead - not bad.

~~~~~~~
Zone 84
_______
Treasure: 1 (4)
Enemies:  Skeleton
Doors:    1 (Z83)
This zone can only be reached by using the level select cheat. Once here you
can continue to <Zone 83> via the only door available.
~~~~~~~
Zone 85
_______

Treasure: 3 (2 x 50; 10,000)
Enemies:  Fish, Monster, Snail
Doors:    2 (Z83, Z89)

This is what I call a late-game level. Basically the couple of jumps you make
here are nothing too special but there are a lot of enemies needing your
attention (i.e. bombs). Left goes to <Zone 89>, right to <Zone 83>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 86
_______
Treasure: 2 (5,000; 50,000)
Enemies:  Mummy, Scorpion
Doors:    2 (Z69, Z87)
Pitch dark level. The goods news is that if you came from <Zone 69> then you
have a door right there. The rest of the level is a nightmare so you might just
want to do that!!
As you cannot see where you are going and the area is totally slippery you are
almost dead before getting started. Keeping lighting up the area with bombs and
slowly creep ahead. Wondering why these enemies are not moving? Because they
are standing on a tiny platform you are supposed to clear, jump on, stop, then
jump off to the next horribly placed block.
Should you make it past these there is a door waiting for you going to <Zone
87>.
~~~~~~~
Zone 87
_______

Treasure: 3 (400; 500; 50,000)
Enemies:  Bee, Mummy
Doors:    2 (Z86, Z90)

This level has a lot of enemies but your bombs will clear out the path. It
looks like a maze but actually most of the path is linear. If you take the
wrong floor left or right you will soon notice.

The top right corner of this place has a door to <Zone 86>, going to the bottom
left leads to <Zone 90>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 88
_______
Treasure: 2 (5,000; 200,000)
Enemies:  -
Item:     Star
Doors:    1 (Z19)
The entire zone is dark. Naturally you can bomb the spot you stand to return
to <Zone 19>. You can walk right and drop onto the treasure but you have to be
careful an jump up again to the spot you dropped from. If you jump left from
the starting point you can climb over a wall that leads to two more treasures
and a star. It is rather risky.
~~~~~~~
Zone 89
_______

Treasure: 2 (20,000; 50,000)
Enemies:  Snail
Doors:    3 (Z69, Z85, Z92)

Another dark level and if you do not like it then turn right back around. For
example if you start in the left corner than bomb the door for <Zone 85>. If
you decide to continue then note the icy ledges. I will continue explaining the
level from this perspective to make it easier.

Soon there will be a gap in the level and this is (luckily) rare. Hop over it
and jump up to a plateau. There is a running jump required to get up here.
Soon there will be another abyss and it leads to <Zone 69>. Getting this is
almost too easy but you really do not want to go there I think.

Instead, jump over the gap and continue right to <Zone 92> which is down at
the end of the last hill. Watch out of the cruel gap just after the treasure
chest and several spots where you can get hopelessly stuck. Tough, cruel level.

~~~~~~~
Zone 90
_______
Treasure: 1 (200,000)
Enemies:  Fish, Monster, Snail
Doors:    2 (Z87, Z93)
This level might be super tiny but there are so many enemies crammed into it
that you might not even see most of it before you die. Knowing this you should
be careful to advance as some fish jump out of the water. There is a nice big
treasure next to the left door which leads to <Zone 93>, the right door leads
to <Zone 87>.
~~~~~~~
Zone 91
_______

Treasure: 2 (100,000; 200,000)
Enemies:  -
Doors:    1 (Z95)

If you arrive here from Zone 91 you will fall right into the door leading to
<Zone 95>. Quickly steer left or right to avoid this or just come back from
Zone 95 again. This level just has two nice treasures.

~~~~~~~
Zone 92
_______
Treasure: 4 (30; 100; 1,000; 5,000)
Enemies:  Slime
Doors:    2 (Z89, Z96)
Straight-forward level. Unless you want to sacrifice a few lives for some lousy
points I say you stay at the top of the level. The left door leads to <Zone 89>
and I highly suggest you do not seek out that level backwards. The slimes tend
to bounce between levels but if you listen to my advice you should be out of
danger for the entire level and eventually jump down to the door. Right would
be <Zone 96>.
~~~~~~~
Zone 93
_______

Treasure: 1 (300,000)
Enemies:  -
Doors:    1 (Z96)

You are stuck in this room forever... unless you find a door near the left
side triggered by a bomb. This door leads to <Zone 96>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 94
_______
Treasure: 1 (300,000)
Enemies:  Snail, Fish, Monster
Doors:    3 (Z41, Z60, Z97)
Coming from the left where <Zone 41> is, jump across the gaps and up on the
ledge. Bomb the spot on the right slightly northeast of the treasure chest.
This leads to <Zone 60>. Ignore that and continuing right up, then carefully
drop down to the long ledge at the east end. You need to drop down there.
Once you make it, and still avoiding all those hordes of foes, drop a bomb into
the corner and time your jump to not get killed by it. It will reveal a passage
to <Zone 97>! Do another timed bomb jump and you are out of here.
~~~~~~~
Zone 95
_______

Treasure: 3 (2 x 1000; 10,000)
Enemies:  Bird, Slime, Snail
Doors:    2 (Z91, Z93)

You only come here from <Zone 91> and this is the left door going back. There
is some minor treasure in this level but you mainly want to avoid the enemies
as you track a little right and find an open door to <Zone 93>. I would head
out of this place before more birds show up.

~~~~~~~
Zone 96
_______
Treasure: 3 (100; 2,000; 50,000)
Enemies:  Mummy, Scorpion
Doors:    1 (Z98)
A small level and you are forced to use bombs a lot (not that there is anything
wrong with it). The only way out of this place is at the east side going over
to <Zone 98>. And now for something completely different...
~~~~~~~
Zone 97
_______

Treasure: 0
Enemies:  Bee
Doors:    2 (Z94, Z100)

You must come from <Zone 94> to get here thus the door right here takes you back
to said zone.

If you have boots then you can continue up on the ledges and land on the left
of the top wall. You will not actually see the character anymore. Take a leap
of faith to the clouds on the left and then continue to <Zone 100>.

~~~~~~~
Zone 98
_______
Treasure: 1 (50,000)
Enemies:  Worm
Item:     Mic
Doors:    2 (Z96, Z99)
You can go to <Zone 96> from here (left door) but there is no point as it is a
dead-end. Do a double-jump from that door and continue left from pillar to
pillar and the only thing stopping you is that it eventually stops and you also
want to stop jumping. Drop down to <Zone 99>.
~~~~~~~
Zone 99
_______

Treasure: 3 (10; 300; 30,000)
Enemies:  Bird, Mummy
Doors:    2 (Z6; Z100)

This is an easy level in terms of acrobatics. This also the only level that
loops (makes me wonder why not more). It is supposed to confuse you but
actually the only way out of here is a hidden door in the little niche that is
all too obvious. Bomb it and get out of here to <Zone 100>!

But wait! There is more! When you complete the game (not just coming back from
zone 100 without winning first) there is an open door to the right of this one
which goes all the way back to <Zone 6> and giving you the chance to replay
some of the early games and collect even more treasure. Great, or not great,
you decide.

~~~~~~~~
Zone 100
________
Treasure: 0
Enemies:  Zavira
Doors:    1 (Z99)
Also called "Final Zone" but not to be confused with the secret zone reached
from Zone 20.
You only have to fight the end boss here, apparently called Zavira. It is quite
tough to avoid the minion statues' fireballs as you run right to collect the
crystal. Once you pick it up you get a CONGRATULATION message and the statues
seize. This IS the ending. You may now use the door to return to <Zone 99> and
then warp back to zone 6 from there if you want to continue playing.
