<>Walk Through<>
Intro: The story begins when Mary-Kate and Ashley are sold a pair of
enchanted necklaces. When they combine the two halves a spell is cast over
the mall, sealing most of the stores and people as if time stands still.
Mary-Kate and Ashley are trapped in the mall until they can win the five
magic gems missing from the enchanted necklace. To win each gem they'll
have to complete a quest at one of the mall's open locations.
<>Mall Controls<>
Use the directional pad or the left analog stick to move around freely.
<>Mall Locations and Levels<>
There are five levels and two other locations in the mall. I will go
through the levels and locations of the mall in clock wise order.
Keep in mind you can play the levels in ANY order you want and replay
them to win "Tokens" for the "Slot Machine" at the Bonus Boutique
location.
<>Information Booth<>
To your left from where you start the game is the Information booth,
approach the desk and a menu will pop up with
a list of the five stages in the game. Select a stage and you will go
through a tutorial of that stage. This can be very useful.
<>Fash-Level<>
In this stage your goal is to put on a fashion show and take good pictures
of Mary-Kate and Ashley on the run way. First choose which sister to dress
first. Next, choose which run way to use, the "Tiki Hut" run way is not
available until you unlock it at the "Bonus Boutique".
Next, choose how many outfits to model in your show. If you're trying
to finish the stage quickly just choose 2, but if you want to have
fun with it choose 4 or 6.
Next, you have to put together the out each out fit. Press up or down to
high light the 4 sections of the out fit: Hair/Head, Shirt, Pants/Skirt
and Shoes. Press the X button to select and zoom in on a section and press
left and right to see the different Items/Options available for that section.
Press X when you have found the one you want and the 'Style' and 'Color'
option menus pop up on the screen. (Note: Items unlocked at the
"Bonus Boutique" do not have extra options)
Choose the 'Style' first and then the 'Color'. After the color is selected
you'll be returned to the "Outfit Section" screen, repeat this for all 4
sections until you're satisfied with the outfit and then press the
"Square" button to move on to the next outfit. When all you outfits are
picked out it's time for the show!
The Runway: Your job now is take great pictures of Mary-Kate and Ashley
as they walk the runway.
[Camera Controls-Runway]
Press the L1, L2, R1 and R2 buttons to switch between the 4 camera views.
Use the directional pad or the left analog stick to move the camera.
Press the "Triangle" button to Zoom in or out.
Press the "X" button to take a picture.
Switch between the camera views and zoom in on the model, try to take
a picture when she stops and does a pose.
When you're all done, choose your best picture you took of each outfit.
You'll get points for each picture. Both the amount of points you CAN
earn and the amount you NEED to get to win the gem increase when you choose
to show more outfits in the show. No matter how many outfits you show,
if you get a close and centered picture of each outfit you'll get a high
score and win the gem!
<>Lizzie's Lunch-Level<>
In this stage you must serve food to customers before they become
impatient and leave.
[Controls]
Use the directional pad or the left analog stick to skate around, press
the "X" button to pick up or put down an item or to throw an item away
in the Trash Can.
On the back wall there are five icons: 'Hamburger' 'Icecream' 'Pizza'
'Pretzel' and 'Hot Dog', they represent the spot where that food item
will appear after a customer orders it. On the right side is a 'Soda Fountain'
where you must pick up 'Drinks' for customers when they order them.
On the left side is the 'Trash Can', if you pick up a Food Item and then
have no customer to give it to because the customer who ordered it left,
use the Trash Can to throw it away. DON'T put an Item down on a Counter
when you have no customer to give it to, because if the next customer
orders something else you won't be able to serve it to them! You loose
a little money when you throw food away, but you'll loose more if you
block of a counter with it!
In the front is the counter where customers will stand and order food
and wait for the food to be brought to them.
Above the customers head will be an Icon that shows what food item they
have ordered. They will also say what they are ordering when they first
show up. Around the food icon over the customers head is a colored circle
that measures the customers patients. The circle decreases and changes
color from green to orange to red as the customer waits. If the circle
decreases completely the customer gets mad and leaves.
On the bottom left is the money earned. Every customer served increase
the money earned. In the bottom middle is the timer, each round(shift)
last a set amount of time. In each round/shift you must increase the
money earned to a set amount to move on to the next round.
That amount increases each round, but so does the speed at which
customers appear. On the bottom right is your Tips Earned. For
every customer served you get a little tip. To win the Gem in this
level, YOU MUST HAVE 100$ IN TIPS AT THE END OF THE FIFTH ROUND!
You'll have to do five rounds/shifts and each one will become more
difficult then the last. When a customer orders an item it appears on
the back counter that has it's icon above it. Pick it up with the 'X'
button and then put it down in front of the customer by pressing the
'X' button again while standing in front of them. In the later rounds
customers will order drinks along with food, so you'll have to pick
their drink up at the soda fountain and give them those as well before
they'll leave. It's usually best to serve the customers in the order
they appear, but sometimes you'll want to serve who ever is closest to
you.
Choose which sister to play as and get to work! Even if you fail at
first keep trying and you'll get much faster and this level's Gem will
be yours!
<>Just Say Snow-Level<>
In this stage you'll pick a Snow Board, choose an opponent and race down
three slopes to win a Gem!
You'll have to race on three different slopes and win 2 out of 3 on each
to progress to the next!
[Snow Board Controls]
Use the Directional pad or the left analog stick to move from left to
right as you go down the slope. Press the "Square" button to slow down.
Press and hold the "X" button to make the "jump meter" on the bottom
right, release the "X" button when the meter is close to full to do
a jump. While jumping press R1, R2, L1 or L2 to do a special trick.
Be careful though, because doing a trick to late in the jump can
cause you to slip up and slow you down.
First choose a board. There's only 3 at first but after the during the
first slope you can unlock the 4th board by getting enough "Snow Flake"
tokens on the way down. Do the same on the second slope to unlock the
5th board! I recommend the orange board. One you can use the 4th and 5th
boards use them instead.
Next, choose who you'll race against. "Jeff Rocket" is the easiest to
beat, so choose him if you're trying to clear the stage. If you want more
of a challenge, any of the other three snow boarders will make it a pretty
tough race!
While going down the slopes always try to pass between the Red and Blue
flags! Doing so gives you a speed boost, but if you don't go between the
Red and Blue flags your opponent gets a speed boost instead. Also get
as many of the purple "Snow Flake" tokens as you can on your down so
you'll be able to select a better board on the next slope. Slope 3
doesn't have any "Snow Flake" tokens though, because it's the last slope.
Make sure you don't crash in to the walls, doing so
will often turn you around and it will take a while to face the right
direction again. Getting turned around will usually cause you to loose
the race.
Slope 1: This is the most strait forward of the slopes. Just go between
the flags and try to get the purple "Snow Flake" tokens.
Slope 2: This one's a little harder and has more curves. The hardest part
is going through the Cave area where you might need to press "Square" to
slow down so you don't hit the wall.
Slope 3: The last slope starts off with an area with lots of curves,
just don't go to fare to ether side and you'll be all right. The next part
has you boarding down streets in a small town. The turns are very sharp
and it's easy to hit the walls and get turned around. There is a fork in
the path bit both routs take you to the same place. As long as you press
"Square" to slow down when you're going too fast you'll do all right. The
final area is a wide open one with some ramps. Going over the ramps or not
doesn't seem to make a difference, just go between the flags and make your
way to the finish line! Win 2 races on each slope and you win this Levels
Gem!
<>Bonus Boutique-Location<>
I'm sure you've gotten 1 or more "Tokens" after wining a Gem, well this
is where you use them! The Bonus Boutique is a slot machine that you can
play with your tokens.
WARNING! SAVE YOUR GAME BEFORE PLAYING THE SLOT MACHINE!
At the slot machine screen, press "X" to use a token to play the machine
or press "Triangle" to return to the mall. If you're lucky your token
can unlock special options for the 5 game levels! But, if you're UN-lucky
the slot machine can steal extra tokens from you, that's why you should
ALWAYS SAVE YOUR GAME BEFORE PLAYING THE SLOT MACHINE. That way if you're
UN-lucky you can just re-load your saved game and try again!
[Bonus Boutique Unlock able Options]
*Extra Outfits for Fash Level.
*Tiki-Hut runway for Fash Level.
*Disco stage for Music Nation Level.
*DJ dance partner for Music Nation Level.
*Bonus Dance Moves for Music Nation level.
<>Music Nation-Level<>
In this stage you must put together a dance and film it to impress some
producers.
First choose which sister play as, then choose which location to film
the video at. The "Disco" location must be unlocked at the Bonus Boutique
before you can use it.
Now you need to put the dance together. Press left or right on the
directional pad or the left analog stick to switch between the sets of
dances. Choose up to 10 dances that you like then press the "Triangle"
button to watch the dance animation's. When you're ready press the
"X" button to stop watching and press the "Square" button to move on
to filming the video.
While film the video select "Record a Dance". While filming the video
press the R1,R2,L1 and L2 buttons to trigger special effects and press
the directional pad or the left analog stick to switch camera angles.
You must use these features through out the video to score high enough
to win the gem. Don't change the camera angle so often that it creates a
strobe effect, but do change it often.
When you're done, press the "X" button and select "Submit Recording to the
Producer". Then you'll watch the video as a meter in each corner fills.
When the video's over, if you didn't win look at the different meters.
If the dance meter is low you should choose to pick new dances. If the
dance meter is high but the "Camera: or "Effects" meter is low, choose
to re-record the dance and use the camera and effects differently.
This level just takes some trial and error but eventually you'll score
high and win the Gem!
[Other Music Nation Options]
*If you've unlocked the "Dancing DJ" option at the Bonus Boutique, then
you can press L1 at the Dance selection screen to have the DJ dance with
you instead of the back up dancers.
*You can put in your own CD and play a song from it during the music video!
Press the "O" button on the dance selection screen to look at the
"CD Player". Then choose the "Eject" option, then remove the game disc
and put in your CD, then you can use the "Track" and "Play" options to
select the song you want, Then can choose "Return" to go back to dance
selection screen and continue the stage as normal. When it's time for you
to return to the mall the game will prompt you to remove you CD and put the
game dick back in.
<>Catch A Wave<>
It seem Mary-Kate and Ashley have bragged about hanging out with a couple of
life guards, so now they need to take some pictures to prove it!
[Catch a Wave Controls]
Use the Directional pad or the left analog stick to move the camera view
around, "Up" lowers it, "Down" raises it. Press the "Triangle" button to
zoom in and out. Press the "O" button to make your sister walk up to the
boys. Press the "X" button to take a picture.
To get high points for each picture, try to get it of you sister next to
both boy when they're looking towards the camera or striking a pose.
You need to score a certain amount in each round to move on to the next!
After each part of a round, you need to pick your best picture you took.
Choose which sister to play as and get ready.
Round One:
1.The boys are sitting on the Bench, press "O" to make your sister walk up
to them and zoom in and take a picture of the three of them.
2.The boys are crossing the street, press "O" to have you sister walk to
the corner and wait till they get there and take a picture.
3.The boys are sitting on some stairs, press "O" to have you sister walk to
them and take a picture when they're looking up.
4.One boy is waiting across the street, press "O" to have you sister walk
to him and wait for the second boy and take a picture of all three.
5.The boys are skateboarding, press "O" to have you sister walk into view
and take a picture when both boys are visual.
You need 160 points to pass round one.
Round Two:
1.After the van moves press "O" to have you sister walk to the boys and
take a picture.
2.press "O" to have you sister fallow the boys down the street, pressing
"O" too often will make her walk ahead of them. Take a picture when they
turn around. The last stop is the easiest to get a good picture.
3.The boys pop up from behind the surf boards, from behind the masks and
behind the tree, press "O" to have you sister walk to one of the
spots and wait till they pop up there to take a picture.
4.The boys pop up from behind the surf boards, from behind the masks and
behind the middle doors, press "O" to have you sister walk to one of the
spots and wait till they pop up there to take a picture.
5.The boys are randomly behind one of the three red doors, press "O" to
have you sister move in front of one of them and hope they show
up behind it before the time runs out. This one takes some luck.
6.Now the boys pop up from behind red pots in a lot filled with pots.
Press "O" to have you sister move to spot and hope they pop up there.
Round Three:
1.Just press "O" to have you sister walk up the boys and take a picture,
if people get in your way just take another.
2.The boys are popping up from behind the seats in the movie theater,
press "O" to have you sister go to a spot and take the best picture you
can when one or both boys pop up!
3.Press "O" to have you sister fallow the boys along the beach. Take a
picture of the three when they stop and pose, if you miss the first chance
don't worry they'll be many more! When you get to the life guard tower
you will have to take several different pictures of both sisters with the
boys, just zoom in and take good picture each time!
If you don't score high enough you'll have to try again, but when you
do you'll win the Gem from this level!
<>All Five Gems Won<>
When the credits start rolling DON'T RESET! After the credits you can save
your game so you can keep playing and use any tokens you have to open up
extra options fro the levels at the Bonus Boutique!
