Story

Well if you have wayched the 110 minute anime novie released by Streamline
Pictures in 1991 and followed the anime series currently released by Manga
Entertainment you might get the idea of this games story and events. Anyway
here's an overview:
Written by Tetsuo Hara and illustrated by Buronson(get the scoop by reading the
graphic novels) Hokuto No Ken takes place in the year 199X- the exact date is
unimportant,and most probably unknown,because civilization has been all but
destroyed by nuclear war.Earth is now a barren wasteland , complete with
marauding mohawked motorcycle punks. With the loss of advanced weapons and
technologies (such as firearms), these brigands leaders wield power through the
use of martial arts whose ancient secrets give them mystical powers.Into this
lawless nightmare strides a living engine of Justice: Ken Shiro, master of a
secret martial art called Hokuto Shin Ken.Ken eradicates any evildoers he comes
across when they prey upon the weak. His superhuman skiills destroying his
enemies' bodies in shocking ballets of gore.This , along with an ever changing
cast of characters and equally impressive archvillains and allies ensured HNK's
classic success.

Codes & Secrets:

Unlock secret charcters in the 2Player VS mode
You must  play the story mode and beat the big boss in a particular chapter
without getting killed by that big boss.DO NOT GET KILLED BY A BIG BOSS and
press Continue in the GAME OVER screen otherwise you won't be able to unlock
that character in the VS mode.
NOTE: Do not forget to save your game after  completing each chapter.
