STEP 1, CHOOSE A CHARACTER

_Hit Points (HP)_             Number of points of damage a hero can
take.  All three characters start with 50 HP.
_Stamina Points (SP)_     Number that represents the hero's energy. It
is depleted when running, picking up buildings, etc. It gradually
regenerates.

_CHARACTERS__

Herc, hero               50 hit points,  70 stamina points
Atlanta, archer       50 hit points,  40 stamina points
Jason, the agile       50 hit points, 50 stamina points


So who is it?  Herc is strong, and has quick hits, but has a bad
distant attack.  Atlanta has a slower and weaker
attack but has an awesome long range attack  (10 arrow shot).  Jason
has a rather weak attack any way you look at it. I would say the most
challenging to start out as of the three.




----------BEGINNING----------

Grab coin and continue down . Kill cyclops and head east. If Atlanta,
use your long-range attack to take out the out of range cyclops, a
secret lies ahead. Take spears and head east again. There should be a
house and a locked door. Hit targets to get coins. Head west then jump
down at the ledge. Under the house is garbage. Take catapult and find
key. The second and third rocks have coins underneath them as well as
the sheep. Go down the ledge. Coin underneath the sheep by the Shepard.
Grab spears underneath the house and the bird.  Coin underneath the
house on the right side. This place should now look familiar. Follow
path until you get to the door. Grab the spears and coin underneath the
house. Follow path.

___CUT SCENE__

Before fighting the bone soldiers, grab the coin on the island to the
right. Fight. Go swim by the man fishing and get the gyros and bombs.
Grab spears underneath the rock. Head west to get spears. Now go back
to the regular path and head up north. Fight.  Follow path. Hit bone
soldier with a bomb to get secret.

___CUT SCENE__

Head east and then go in the cave to the north. Grab items.  Follow
path. Fight.  Go to the northeast exit first to get the coin. Now go
northeast. Follow path. Now before jumping of the waterfall. Kill bone
soldier to get secret to the right.  Fight old hags. Go southeast to
save (1 coin). Grab items under boats and houses.  Follow path. You are
now in the forest. Fight. Go north (not strong enough to lift big
rocks). Follow path.  West is a shop to buy frogs. Don't buy any.  Go
south.


-----------------------BOSS--------------------------
The boar, possibly the easiest boss ever. Keep a distance and use bombs
when possible. When he is shooting lightning out of his mouth, hit him
close up. Grab Athens key. Make sure to get the heart. And pickup the
boar and your will get the "boar head". Now go trade it with the boy by
the frog shop. Keep progressing the maze.  When you see the next enemy,
notice the shortcut sign to the right.  Off to Ellis now.  Follow path
until you get the wasteland with the birds. Ignore the first right
turn, keep going. Now head west to get items, then go right.
and follow the paths. DO NOT FALL DOWN. Get to the path where you see a
"PATH" sign. Then after that fall down. Follow path, until you see a
left turn, right turn, and a fisherman. Go right. Make sure to kill the
cyclops. Get the heart on the south end of the walkway. Grab scientist
to give you the code to open the door. 3131 means run into the 1st door
3 times, etc. Get warped back with catapult.  Now backtrack and go the
same way again. This time jump in the water from the high ledge. The
fish will bite you twice if you're good.  Pay man to the far west now
and he will give you a passage way.  Fight.  Follow the long path.
After a long walk. Jump in water and follow path.

__CUT SCENE__

Welcome to Ellis, the city were people of Greece train for the
Olympics. Wander around an find weapons under houses and visit the
couple of shops. Here is a note of what to look for:

*Garbage* underneath the second house upon entering the city.
*Gyros* 2 gold a piece. Don't stock up too much, you will get a lot
later.
*House with Target*  is west of the stairs.

note the path going south. Instead go north up the stairs

*Mr. Muscle Man* costs 1 gold. A good deal. Raises SP by 20.
*Iron Cow*  just north of Mr. Muscle Man, has a gold piece underneath.
*House with Target*  has spears underneath.
*Scribe* costs 1 gold to save the game.
*House at far west* garbage is underneath, still hold onto that house
throw it on the unreachable target in the water (left).

Note path to the north. Instead, go northeast, where the enemies are.
See those targets on the east wall? If Atlanta use arrows, if
Herc/Jason throw a bomb or an enemy.  Kill enemies and follow path
until you see water. Go straight west from the bottom of the path. This
is one of two islands. It is occupied by skeletons. Invade the small
graveyard and pick up the house to reveal a coin. Now backtrack and
swim north. This is Circe's island. Kill cyclops, grab up a free potion
(turns you into a pig) and be off. Backtrack now and revisit Ellis. Go
back to Mr. Muscle Man. Now go north and visit the big "monument" or
whatever that says Welcome.

_____CUT SCENE_____

Get all the secrets discussed earlier (and every time you visit the
city). And now go south. Follow path until you see archer guards to the
west. Follow that path and kill enemies. You will be rewarded with
arrows and a coin if you threw that house into the target (in the
water) in Ellis. Before you leave the little path, there is a secret to
the south. Jump down and you will notice the trees to the east. Go
east, then south, then west and you should see a guard sitting .

*Frost breath* 2 gold, pick one up, but not anymore than that (for
now). Get back to the regular path now. Follow path until you see
fortress walls to the east. Follow it until you see a target house
(spears underneath). Continue till you see the entrance at the
southeast part of Sparta. There is a split path. Go North for now.
Again there will be a split path. North is the right path. Pick  coin
underneath the stand. Follow path, notice bombs for sale (3 gold) and
continue. Oh no, enemies! Knock these guys down three times and they're
done for. If one of them broke the walls to the west. Follow the path
to get a coin. Follow path to the north. Underneath stand is a barbell
(+5 SP). Now your on the top part. To the west (and then south) is a
gyro and a crow. Now go east. Underneath the target house are spears.
Note the man to the right of this. For 80 spears he will trade you a
gyro. Do it.  Follow the path to the east. There are soldiers that are
trying to climb up the walls. Hit there ropes to make them fall down (a
lot easier than fighting them). Now there is a tough soldier. Make sure
to kill him because he gives you a key every time. Go north through the
door and then go through the opening by a door labeled Bessy. Grab all
keys. Now unlock the door where you see a fat man sitting. Let the
tough soldier open break the walls, kill him and search around. Hey its
the cow! Here's you adventure now. Take the path to the north, its a
shortcut. With Atlanta it will be a challenge (you'll have a few rests
on your way back). Follow path and grab barbell after fights with tough
soldier and archers. When you get to the cliff, THROW the cow off,
don't walk off, your character will fall off without the cow. Return to
Ellis now.

_____CUTSCENE______
_____CUTSCENE______
Backtrack all the way back to the beginning. On the way, right when you
see those trees pop up out of the ground, go east through the secret
path. Now there is a catapult and a man, notice the path to the north.
Pick up the large bolder and go there. Now a split road, go south.
Follow path and when you see a small opening at the south, use a
potion. AH!!!! YOU'RE A PIG!!!  It'll ware off. Pick up items before
you morph back to the hero. Backtrack all the way when there was a
split road. Go north to restore health. Backtrack yet again. Take that
catapult and go straight east until you see a sign labeled "Athens".
Follow path, use key and take catapult. Kill enemies and throw one at
the target to the left. Take catapult. Follow path and pick up huge
bolder near a guard.  Follow path, kill enemies, and pick up that coin.
Now your at water with dangerous fish. Jump platform to platform. Go to
the west and grab a coin, now backtrack.  Follow path and cross the
waterfall. Follow path and you'll be there, Athens. Make sure to take
the path north by the cyclops then north again to save (2 gold) and Mr.
Tough Guy is finally here. He gives you more HP. It costs 3 gold and
its much worth it. TO BE CONTINUED (MARCH 2001)...
