Why this walkthrough when there are so many others?:
This walkthrough does not bog you down with information about the enemy units
that you really don't need to know. This walkthrough tells you the storyline of
the game, how many of each type of enemy units there are per level and key
information about difficult situations in the levels. This walkthrough also
tells you when to check the Network and what to look for as you play through the
game.
I also have been folowing this series of games since 1997 when I originally
obtained my first copy of Front Mission 1. I REALLY enjoy the whole series and I

WALKTHROUGH

Your war machine is called a:
Wanzer
(pronounced Vanzer) - short for Wandrung Panzer, German meaning 'walking tank'

One final note: Don't forget to change your defensive types (Anti-Impact, Anti-
Pierce, Anit-Fire) for each mission to get the best defensive preformance out of
your wanzer. Use the enemy info (at the beginning of each mission (in the
walkthrough) to determine which is best. For more information on what all this

The game begins at an USN Alaska radiation laboratory base. A wanzer and a
freight hauler blast their way out of the base with a large container. The USN
base forces spring into action, but a quickly cut down by bomber. A carrier
arrives and picks up the container and takes off. This FMV is the coolest Front
Mission FMV I have ever seen!
The game starts at Kirishima Heavy Industries testing facility where Kazuki
Takemura is testing a wanzer.

JDF Okinawa Base

The first menu that will pop up will be a name menu. There are 3 selections. The
first one is enter your first name, the second is to select your last name and
the third option is to confirm your selection. To just use the default name,
choose the last one (Kazuki
Takemura). The scientist now has Kazuki run the tests on the SHUNYO Wanzer.

Mission 1

Notes:
1.) This mission is just a tutorial mission split up into 2
sections. The first is part is attacking a single wanzer. The
wanzer does not fight back, so its quick and easy.
2.) The second half is attacking another wanzer that fights back.
It is pretty easy as well. It all just gets you familiar with
the weapon systems which are almost exactly like previous

Kazuki will next be talking to another pilot, Ryogo and the testing engineer in
the office after the mission. They all begin discussing the JDF's forces and
it's recent increase. They even discuss what happened in Front Mission 2! Next
the location menu will appear where you can
talk to Ryogo or the scientist Koike. Before you do anything, save your game
incase you decide to play the other storyline. After talking to both of them you
talk to Ryogo again. He asks you to with him to deliver some construction
wanzers. This is where you choose which storyline to play. You have an option to
play 2 different ones. Choose the first one and you go with him and play
thestory line with Emma. Choose the second one to play the story line with
Kazuki's sister
Alisa. This is Emma's storyline.....

Mission 2
Kazuki and Ryogo travel to the construction site to deliver the new wanzers.
After returning to the lab, the group takes off to the heliport to go to the JDF
base in Yokosuka. Once the group
lands and you (Kazuki), Ryogo and the test engineer debark the helicopter a huge
explosion happens! All the sudden the base's auto defense system activates and
starts attacking anyone and everyone. Koike tells the helicopter pilot to take
off. The helicopter doesn't get far and is shot down. Kazuki and Ryogo decide
they must stop the malfunctioning defense system.

Notes:
1.) Move quickly to the gun turrets and take them out. It isn't
difficult.
2.) Just as you finish defending yourself, special forces wanzers
show up! Koike and the guard shows up and explains that the
group was asked to stop the malfunctioning guns.

1.) You can access this address (MFA/GOVERNMENT/JAPAN) and get
some wallpaper for the Network desktop.
2.) You get the address: (KIRISPV/CORPORATION/JAPAN).
3.) From that site you get the address for:
(KIRSHIMAID/CORPORATION/JAPAN).
4.) At that site you get the address:
(OKINAWAOCD/GOVERNMENT/JAPAN).

1.) Now you access the first Inter Mission of the game. This a
place where you can save the game and then continue on.

1.) Kazuki checks his email back at Kirishima Industries and his
sister (not blood related) Alisa has sent him a message. She
said that she got transferred to Yokosuka base where the
massive explosion/accident happened. Kazuki takes off at once
to see if his sister was in the accident. The guard at the
gate tells you that you can't get in. Ryogo suggests that you
check out a bar where many of the Japanese Self Defense Force
employees use often. Kazuki and Ryogo head out to the bar and
cannot find her. They instead find Emma (Emir) Klamsky a
lovely USN scientist who wants to sneak into the base to see
what happened. Kazuki wants to get into the base to see if
they can locate his sister so he agrees to go with her.

back to Yokosuka base

Mission 3
The three manage to sneak onto the base (in their wanzers) and head down an
elevator platform to one of the lower levels. They open a bay door only to see a
huge hole where the base used to be! The middle of the base is completely gone!
All that is left is a gaping hole deep in the earth. Emma knows that the Japan
is getting ready for war and she knew this is what they are currently up to... a
mega-weapon. The trio is caught off guard when alarms go off and enemy wanzers
show up.

1.) Stay together and finish off each wanzer one at a time.

Mission 4
Now its a race to get out of the base before getting killed. Emma knows that
they are as good as dead now they have seen what the JDF is up to. The group
must race to the elevator platform so they can get back up out of the base.

Notes:
1.) Stay together since Emma cannot move fast. In order to open
the bay doors, you have one of your wanzers finish their turn
on the square infront of the door activation panel. Watch the
beginning of the level to see where it is. BUT DON'T BOTHER.
Before you open the doors, finish off the wanzers that are
following you. It will end the level early!
2.) If you go ahead and go through the other door on your way to
the elevator platform another bay door opens and more wanzers
pour out after you. This mission is over once you get all you
wanzers on the platform or you destroy all the enemy wanzers.

Mission 5
Once the group gets back outside the base their way is blocked by a literal road
block. The street elevates up to block their escape. Some wanzers and gunner
trucks block their way.

Notes:
1.) After several turns you get some assistance from a bomber. The
road block is wiped out and after that at the end of each turn
you get to command a 2x3 area bomb drop. Don't have the bombs
drop on any of your group. Once all the enemy units are
destroyed the mission is over and the group has escaped.

back to Kirashima Industries
1.) Emma talks about how a developmental weapon of great
destructive power was stolen from the USN by the JDF and how
she was out searching for it when the accident happened. We
also learn of Kazuki's hatred for his father. Emma also takes
some time out to explain a few things about equipping weapons
and parts in the Panzer Setup Menu. See GamePlay section (on
the site) for more detail.
2.) Now you can access the battle simulator and tutorial from the
Network as well as shop online.

to Kamariya

Mission 6
Kazuki, Ryogo, and Emma make a break for it, hiding the wanzers in a heavy
hauler. But soon they encounter trouble. A roadblock has been set up by the
police (Police wanzers! Cool!). Emma gets nervous but soon some military
helicopters show up and detect the group. The scramble out of the hauler just
before it is blown sky high.

Notes:
1.) Try to take care of the helicopters first, they do the most
damage.
2.) You will need to get through the partition in the road. Just
attack it like you would any other enemy unit.

Mission 7
You group has to face more enemy units on the freeway. The JDF special forces
commander is finally named... Kuroi. He is determined to eliminate everyone in
the group that sneaked into the JDF base and witnessed the destruction.

1.) Take the missilers out first. Then work on the other units.

Mission 8
Traveling down the highway a bit more, the group comes across a tollbooth.
Parked at the tollbooth is a heavy hauler just big enough to carry the wanzers
undetected. But before you can commandeer it, you will have to fight off enemy
units in the area.

1.) You will have to destroy a section of the tollbooth to get to
the other side to get to the enemy units over there.

To Yokohama

1.) The group hides at a mechanic's place and soon find out that
they are front page news. The JDF is telling everyone that
Kazuki and Ryogo are to blame for the explosion.
2.) Before you go on, you are taught how to buy equipment and
upgrades. Pay attention to the lesson.

To Honmokufuto

Mission 9
Before you can make it to Honmokufuto, JDF forces find the group and they are
forced to get out and fight!

1.) The mechanic at the depot gives you the address:
(JPO/GOVERNMENT/JAPAN).
2.) There you get the address: (IGUCHI/CORPORATION/JAPAN). There
you can get a training level and a background for the desktop.
3.) Kazuki gets mail with the address: (ARMOREDKIN/OTHER/JAPAN).
4.) There you get the address: (NETCOMSYS/CORPORATION/JAPAN).

Mission 10
After the last battle Emma notices that the wanzers that attacked were not JDF
forces. They were in unmarked wanzers. Soon the group arrives at the airport
where a FAI agent (Dennis) is standing by to get you all out of there. Before
you can get away, some more of those unmarked
wanzers get in the way.

Mission 11
Before the pilot can get everyone out of there some more wanzers show up. You
have to keep them occupied while the pilot gets the plane ready to go.

Mission 12
Dennis recognized the unmarked wanzers as Da Han Zhong troops. Kazuki is shocked
to see them here in JDF territory and wonders why they want to capture them. The
group finally escapes JDF territory and joins the USN 3rd fleet out at sea.
While Emma was talking to the captain of the
ship Kazuki learns that the mega-weapon is called MIDAS. The one that went off
by accident was actually a copy of the real one which no one has been able to
locate yet. The guys are shown to quarters and Emma tells Kazuki that MIDAS is
actually a research project, not a weapon. It creates energy, but it is also
very destructive and thats why everyone is interested in obtaining it. The
private FAI squad purple haze discovered that the OCU took possession of the
original MIDAS and flew it to one of their bases somewhere. After traveling to
Australia to try to locate MIDAS, the group encounters enemy forces again. This
is the first level where you select who goes onto the battlefield. All your
units (at this time) can go. The FAI agent Dennis now joins you group.

Notes:
1.) You will get a different mission 13 and 14 depending on if you
destroy the armored vehicle or not. The only real difference
is that Yun will join you earlier in the game if you destroy
the vehicle.
2.) If you decide to destroy the armored vehicle. The armored
vehicle has 2 body listing, so you will have to know out both
of those to completely destroy it. Concentrate on it first.
Network:
1.) The aircraft operator gives you the address:
(USNNAVY/GOVERNMENT/USN).
2.) Kazuki has new mail.
3.) Ryogo has new mail.
4.) Dennis has new mail. Be sure to reply to the message.

Mission 13 "A" (If you destroyed the armored vehicle in Mission 12)
The container had scientists in it! The OCU scientists were on their way to
research a military transport crash in which high-tech weaponry was being
transferred. Serov, the scientist would not say what weapon was on the transport
but everyone thinks it was MIDAS. The group leaves the scientists and takes off
on a USN sub to the place where the transport crashed in Sumatra. The group
walks in on a battle at the crash site. OCU forces are facing some unknown
troops that are surrounding the crashed transport and they are getting
demolished. The group goes in to assist the unknown forces.

Notes:
1.) Attempt to keep the NPC wanzers (red colored) from getting
blown up. It doesn't matter if they do though.
2.) Now go down to Mission 14.

1.) The methane wanzers are pretty easy to destroy and they don't
do a lot of damage.

1.) Now go down to Mission 15.

Mission 14 "A" (If you destroyed the armored vehicle in Mission 12)
The group finds out that it helped a man named Hatta and his guerrilla force.
The cargo wasn't MIDAS after all but Hatta says that he knows someone who can
help. Hatta takes you to a bar to meet Moneymaker, a hacker for hire. later you
are taught how to buy booster upgrades for your wanzers. Now you can get the
ability to have the wanzer "slide" further distances than it can normally walk.
Later on we see a dream that Emma has about her past. Hatta shows up and tells
Kazuki that Moneymaker was arrested by the military. Before you leave you now
have the chance to choose which location to visit, you can go on to the prison
to break Moneymaker out or go to the city streets (to go upgrade and buy stuff).

1.) Stay out of the spotlights! The accuracy of the enemy units
increases if you are in the spotlights.

1.) The Sensitive Girl in the bar gives you the address:

2.) Talk to the Bad Luck Guy in the city streets. He is a wanted
man that if you send an email to JPOLICE@0710 you can get a
reward for the information.
3.) Kazuki has new mail. Be sure to reply to the message.
4.) Emma has new mail: the website: (AUSPEND/OTHER/AUSTRALIA).
5.) Speak to Hatta, he gives you the OCU website password.

to Philippines

Mission 15
During the escape with Moneymaker more troops show up and catch Kazuki and
Moneymaker without a wanzer! A shot rings out and the enemy unit is destroyed in
then nick of time. Its Purple Haze! they give you an escape route while they
take on the enemy reinforcements. Later Moneymaker asks to join the group (only
if you destroyed the armored vehicle in Mission 12). Her real name is Yun Lai
Fa. Dennis finally gives in. They head back to Yun's place and access the data
she
earlier hacked. It appears that MIDAS was sent to the Philippines with the
scientists they earlier encountered. Alisa's name was on the list too. The group
heads to the Philippines and the base where MIDAS is being held. In this next
mission you also get to choose which direction
to get into the base. You can attack through the front gate or go the Alpine
detour.

1.) Destroy the huge wanzer as quick as you can. He delivers a

1.) Attempt to take out the helicopters and cannons first. If you
took this route into the base, next go to mission 17.

Mission 16
Now in the base the group goes heads for MIDAS and Alisa. Only follow this
mission if you went through the front gate.

Mission 17
As the group enters a large section of the base, MIDAS is taken away and a
strange looking wanzer attacks!

Notes:
1.) This is the first mission where I had a hard time. Don't rush
into this one. Stay at the back and let the enemy come to you.
Keep your units closely together.
2.) Take plenty of repairs!
3.) Take out the mounted rail cannons soon, because they do some
big damage!
Network:
1.) Jose gives you the address: (PAPEL/CORPORATION/SINGAPORE).
2.) The Prototype wanzer gives you the address:
(JML/CORPORATION/AUSTRALIA).

Mission 18
The group finally finds Alisa and the other scientists. Now the group is also
joined by Lukav and 2 of the scientists. The group needs to escape the base.
Your Units : 8
Enemy Units:

3 Cannons 1 Tank
Notes:
1.) The other 4 units in this mission are Alisa, 2 scientist, and
the USN commander Lukav. They will move out into the open like
idiots and they will get killed. There is not a lot you can
do, but stay close to them and hope the enemy attacks you
instead of them.
2.) Take out the closest cannon on the mountain side. It does some
nasty damage.

Mission 19
The groups sees Lukav, Alisa, and the scientists away to safety and they head
off to help Purple Haze. As the team reaches Purple Haze they quickly see that
things are going badly. The Group goes in for revenge for Purple Haze. The plane
with the MIDAS bomb on board takes off! If
you chose to take the Alpine route earlier Jose will help you out as an NPC.

Notes:
1.) Load up with plenty of repairs. These OCU Marine wanzers pack
a heavy duty punch!
2.) Don't rush into this level, stay back in a small huddle and
let the enemy come to you.

to Taiwan

Mission 20
Now we finally get to see what the MIDAS technology can do! It causes massive
destruction! Wow! The OCU would have done anything to keep MIDAS from falling
back into the USN's hands. Back at the USN fleet a message comes in from Dennis,
Lukav and the scientists did not return to the submarine. Emma reveals to Kazuki
that Alisa is her sister, Aliciana Klamsky! Emma's family left Alisa with Isao
Takemura, Kazuki's father for safe keeping because she was so young. the rest of
Emma's family was murdered by a certain organization. We get to see the
flashback of what happened to Emma's parents and how a wanzer pilot saved her
life. Emma then tells Kazuki that she intended to take Alisa back to the USN
with her since she was her only living family
left. later the group is informed that the bodies of the scientists were found
but no Lukav or Alisa. The naval captain thinks Lukav is a double agent for the
DHZ.

2.) If you destroy the dam in this mission you will go on to
different missions.

1.) Talk to the Operator at the Aircraft Carrier and you get a new

there is no response from the diversion team, or you can go to Yingko.

1.) Before you go on, you have the chance to visit a shop! I
suggest selling all the wanzers you have captured so far (see
gameplay section) and upgrade as much as you can here. After
you are done, go back to the empty house to continue on.

Mission 23
The group is caught trying to sneak onto the base where Lukav and (hopefully)
Alisa. Several tanks and other units show up for the unexpected welcome.

Notes:
1.) Stay back and let the enemy come to you. Once they stop
coming, start moving your group slowly towards them.

Mission 24
As the group heads into the base Han shows up again with a huge wanzer and
attacks.

Notes:
1.) The huge wanzer has a nasty surprise. When it attacks, it
bombs whole areas, so keep your units spread out a bit so they
all wont get damaged when it attacks.
2.) Look out for the tanks of napalm!
3.) Load up on plenty of repairs.

Mission 25
The group heads back to the embassy to see if the traitor ambassador can tell
them anything about Lukav.

The group needs to cross a bridge being patrolled by Changli Army units. Marcus

Mission 28
Now the team is closing in on Lukav although he may already be on Da Han Zhong
soil. They need to travel through an underground tunnel. Just as everything
seems to be quite a train shows up and unloads more enemy units. This level is
similar to the subway mission in Front Mission 2.

Notes:
1.) Watch out for the train. It attacks with missiles. If you are
lucky enough to eject the pilot of the train, get in quick!
You can gain control of that awesome firepower!

Mission 29
The tunnel ahead is clear so everyone sighs with relief. There are a couple of
glass portals in the tunnel that let you see the floor of the ocean. All the
sudden torpedoes come though the glass and wanzers come out of the torpedoes! We
see that Lukav is infact a traitor and wants
them all dead. We also see soldiers called "Imaginary Number" soldiers....
hum... what could that mean?

1.) These wanzers have a lot of HP so be careful.
2.) You can either take all your wanzers and head up one side or
(if you are careful) split your team into 2 groups and have
each group take a side.
3.) Also remember if you eject one of the pilots of these tough
wanzers, get in it quick before he can get back in!

Mission 30
Dennis takes the team to a Hua Lian Rebel headquarters. He knows the leader of
the rebel group, Huang. Huang agrees to help you if you assist him in helping
Hua Lian rebels at Sanya base. Chang is sent along with you. Commander Nan needs
you to destroy an inspection team that will be checking out the oil platform at
the base. If the inspection team finds out that the Hua Lian rebels have control
of the base, they will be finished.

1.) you will have to split up your team here. So balance them
carefully. Each team will also have one NPC wanzer with them.
2.) There are 2 NPC wanzers on your side. They will come in handy

the blue light or on the elevator. At the end your your turn
it will ask if you with to go up or don't.

Mission 31
After the mission the team heads downtown for a break to the fighting. You also
meet Ling, a young lady fighting with the rebels. After heading back the rebel
base a report comes it that one of the rebel transports is under attack. Ling's
brother, Wuo Ben is in that transport. Kazuki decides that they will go and
assist the transport group. When they arrive Ling finds her brother's destroyed
wanzer. Quickly some Changli troops show up.

1.) Two more enemy units will show up after several turns in the
battle. Lan, part of the RRF (Rapid Reaction Force)and another

Mission 32 "A" (if you destroyed the armored vehicle in Mission 12)
The team heads back to the rebel base. Huang explains a little bit about the
Rapid Reaction Force. Kazuki also has a heart to heart with the grieving Ling.
Soon we find Yun giving into old habits by hacking into the DHZ computer system.
she see that a reward is being offered for the capture of some illegal aliens in
the country (your team). She thinks she could make some cash if she sells out
the group. She sends a message saying she knows where the illegals are and wants
to know how much she can get if she gives them up. Before she can get any
farther
Ryogo shows up. She quits what she is doing and leaves with him back to the
base. After getting back to the base Yun gets a reply from the DHZ, it says to
go to Wuzhou base and the reward will be paid later. Yun tells Kazuki that she
found out that Alisa is being held at Wuzhou
base. The trap is set and the team heads for the base. At the base a man named
Woo meets the group outside the base. Yun recognizes Woo and inturn he
recognizes her. Woo was one of Yun's rivals back in Singapore. Woo is working
for the DHZ and set the trap for Yun and Kazuki's team. Soon Lan and the Rapid
Reaction Force (RRF) show up.

Mission 33
There are 2 different Mission 33s, (depending on which level you played on
Mission 32) but they are pretty much the exact same thing. After the battle Yun
lets Woo have it! Woo runs away screaming revenge. Kazuki confronts Yun about
what she did. Yun leaves the group. The group
heads back the rebel base. When Kazuki goes to his room, Yun is there. After an
argument she leaves. Ryogo follows her to the downtown area. She comes to her
senses and get back in with the group. The team leaves the base for awhile and
heads to the shop where they meet Zhuwen
another rebel. They all head back to the base. The team is asked to escort
Zhuwen to Guilin. A small village nearby (Longsheng) is under attack from enemy
forces, the team heads out to help. It appears that an RRF solider is protecting
the village from a whole squad of some unknown wanzers. Jose (if you got him, if
not someone else) runs off to assist the RRF solider and Kazuki decides to help
out the RRF solider.

Mission 34 "A" (if you played mission 32 "A")
If Jose is in your group you just leave the village. If Jose is not in your team
Li joins your group. We now see Alisa again after a long time. Lukav has her and
is awaiting Emma's arrival. Lukav reveals that Emma is Alisa's sister. As the
team is heading away from the village they run into a battle with Serov. If you
remember Serov was one of the OCU scientist that the group picked up back in
Australia. The Changli soldiers with him are afraid of him and his physco ways.
He reveals that he left the OCU and joined the DHZ. He wants a fight and the
team gives him one.

Notes:
1.) The missiler (Serov) is kinda wacko. After you knock down his
HP a bit he starts going mad and attacking no one in
particular on his turns. Some of his forces back off and will
stay away until you destroy him. I suggest going for him

Mission 34 "B" (if you played mission 32 "A")
If Jose is in your group you just leave the village. If Jose is not in your team
Li joins your group. We now see Alisa again after a long time. Lukav has her and
is awaiting Emma's arrival. Lukav reveals that Emma is Alisa's sister. As the
team is heading away from the village they run into a battle with the Genie Arm.

Notes:
1.) The Genie Arm goes malfunctions. After you knock down it's HP
a bit it starts going mad and attacking no one in particular
on it's turns. Some of his forces back off and will stay away
until you destroy it. I suggest going for it first. The Genie
Arm also has a ton of HP.

Mission 35
Before Serov dies his tries to say something. He says he and Emma are alike, but
Emma can't get him to explain more before his wanzer blows up. The team heads
back to the Guangzhou rebel base. Dennis tells Kazuki that an old friend of his
Wei Ching Yee wants to meet with him. It seems that Wei has many enemies as
well. Dennis saves his former best friend from some enemy agent. Wei thanks him
and lets him in on his news. Wei reveals that the Ravnui National Labratory (at
them mention of this lab, Emma goes pale) there is a lab called Orsha that is
conducting unethical genetic research. The head of the genetic projects was made
ambassador to the DHZ. Wei thinks that's suspicious. At the mention of the
project leader Ban, Emma goes pale again, but she just says its nothing. The
group is told that a researcher has escaped from the National Labratory and
taken to the rebel's base in Xiamen and has some research info with him. The
team wants to go talk to him. Before they leave Emma tells Kazuki that her
parents worked at Orsha Labratory and that they worked under Bal. Bal was the
man that killed her parents. When they get to Xiamen they meet the defector
Ivan. Once again Emma is startled, but keeps quiet. Ivan reveals that he was
tired of being a guiena pig. He was working with the Imaginary Number Project,
the engineering of a perfect human being. Once Bal had come to the DHZ as an
ambassador, he set up a new lab and began working on this new project. This new
type of engineered human is designed to be efficient in mind and body. One of
the drawbacks is that they live a short life. Serov was one of the Imaginary
Number Project's experiments. Ivan is also one of the failed Imaginary Numbers.
Lukav is also one too! Suddenly the base comes under attack by Imaginary Numbers
out to destroy the failed Imaginary Number, Ivan. and the team has
to go out and defend it. Ivan goes into battle, but soon his short life comes to
an end as he goes insane just as Serov did. He jumps in the way of an attack on
Emma and saves her life by sacrificing his.

Mission 36
Kazuki tells Huang that he thinks Lukav is at the Ravnui Embassy in Shanghai and
he wants to head there. Huang doesn't like the idea. Later Kazuki goes out
looking for Emma who has been shaken by the events in the last mission. She says
she feels something familiar when she was
around the Imaginary Numbers like Serov, Lukav, and Ivan. Kazuki gets her to
come back to the base so they can get ready to get going. Kazuki thinks that if
they lure out the Rapid Reaction Force they have a much better chance in making
it to Shanghai. After they leave they soon lure
out some troops, but they are not the RRF. The are part of the Wulong
Mercenaries. They are there to collect on the bounty on the team.

attackers. Liu Hai-feng, Bal's personal security commander

Mission 37
The group meets a young girl that lives with her "brother" a young man named
Kwang. She found Kwang in the wreckage of a plane that was shot down by the RRF
several years back. It appears that the current chairman of the DHZ (chairman
Jie Bo Liao) had the RRF shoot down the plane (that was carrying former chairman
Ming and his family so he could become chairman. Dennis speculates that Kwang
might be Ming's son and they could use that to overthrow the current evil
chairman (Jie). Later Lixian confirms that Kwang is Kwang Ming, son of murdered
chairman Ming's son. Kwang is told who he is and decides to pick up where his
father left off. He leaves with the team back the rebel HQ. Jose/Li (which ever
one is in your group) goes to see an old friend
who is a USN spy when things go wrong thanks to a DHZ agent. Soon the Wulong
Mercs show up. In This mission, you get 3 wanzers and Jose/Li will not have a
wanzer.

Mission 38
After the battle, the daughter (Ran Fong) of his dead friend gives him (Li/Jose) </pre><pre id="faqspan-2">
a necklace with a micro chip in it. the team takes the girl back to the rebel
base and Ling asks to take the girl in and raise her. Later Yun figures out
what's on the chip. It contains detailed
information on the DHZ mobile fortress, TIANLEI. If they can use the info to
destroy it, they will be able to get to Shanghai. To get more info before
attacking the base, the group goes after the engineers who built it. Suddenly
there is a message for Dennis that says that there
has been a military coup in Japan! The group put that bit of news to the side
and concentrates on getting to one of the only engineers still alive. They find
him (Zhun Xi Liang) in a bar in Guiyang drunk off his rear. he decides to help
out and they all leave to get the password to
get blueprint info from his former finace, Mei Lin. The group is stopped along
the way. The Wulong Mercenaries are harassing a guy named Linny Barilar, an
aspiring business man who thinks that his methane wanzer will make him rich. The
group goes in to help him out even through he has a serious attitude.

Mission 39
The group gets the password and access the blueprint files to the mobile
fortress. Linny joins your group. don't worry though, he doesn't have that
crappy wanzer he had before. This mission requires you to use ALL your units to
form 2 groups. The first group (A) will have Dennis as it's leader and group (B)
will have Kazuki as it's leader. Be sure equip all your units with the best
technology! Split them up equally. Be warned, group (A) fights in only one
mission, while group (B) does the other 3. The mission is to stop and destroy
the Da Han Zhong mobile
fortress. The rebel forces cripple the base with some explosions while your
groups go in for the attack. The only way to destroy it is to go for the power
plant deep in the base.

mountain a bit so the cannons on the fortress cannot reach

The second group goes in for the attack. They head down to the second level
where several enemy units are waiting.

The third level is where the power plant is located. After Kazuki sets the
detonation sequence everyone gets a nasty surprise. The timer gets cut in half

Mission 43
The group attempts to invade Shanghai now that the DHZ forces are in confusion.
The first step is to take control of a supply depot. To get there they have to
wipe out some already demoralized troops.

The group reaches and attacks the supply depot. In order to get into the depot,
some rebel wanzers must come in and build some bridges.

Don't let both of the NPC wanzers get destroyed or you won't

While the rebel forces are getting set up for war, they are setting up fake
inflatable wanzers on the beach. An enemy spy plane comes in for a look. It is
shot down and the group goes to investigate.

falls for the decoy and attacks the phantom wanzer forces. Emma's teams swoops

Emma's team is forced back by DHZ reenforcements. The other team hits the
crowded city and a platoon of enemy units. Kazuki has a bad feeling about
fighting in the heart of the city. Liang Hua shows up and starts evacuating
civilians from the city.

Everyone is back together now and plan on using the Hua Lian rebel's attack as a
means to sneak away. Just when everything seems to be going their way the Wulong
mercenaries show up. Rudolf and Rebecca want to avenge their fallen comrades and
this time, it's personal!

Mission 52
The group get off the armored train and before long they arrive near their
destination, the Ravnui Embassy. Some Real Number troops pop up and all hell
breaks loose.

1.) Don't worry about the missiler wanzers (Spider looking
things). Go after the other units. Just keep using repairs on
yourself.

Mission 53
Kazuki uses the front door to the embassy, well he uses it for target practice
and the group goes in. Kazuki and Emma find Alisa but they also run into Lukav
and Bal! Now we see what happened to Emma's family and we finally understand why
she has devoted her life to the USN.
But wait!!! Emma reveals that the reason that her parents were killed by Bal's
men was because they had stolen something from Bal........ they stole Emma and
Alisa from the labratory!!!!!!!!!!!! Bal tells them that he created Lukav,
Alisa, and Emma. They are all Imagniary Numbers! Bal said that he knew that the
USN had rescued Emma so they could use her to make MIDAS. Now with both girls
Bal is confident that they can build another MIDAS. All the sudden Lukav reveals
that he was just using Bal and now he no longer needed! Lukav intends to rule
the world! Lukav grabs Emma along with Alisa and takes off. Bal takes off to try
to stop them as well! Ryogo saves Kazuki in the nick of time and then the group
takes off and tries to go after Lukav. Wow, what a twist!

Mission 54
Yun starts attempting to locate Lukav. She finds out that Bal is heading to an
old missile silo with a platoon of wanzers. He must be going after Lukav to the
get Emma and Alisa back. Dennis is shocked by something that the USN tells him,
but we don't know what it is yet. We also see Lukav as he attempts to persuade
Emma and Alisa to join him in ruling the world. Lukav is also dealing secretly
with the JDF! Bal shows up and then Lukav sends in troops and also Chairman Jie
is there in an alliance with Lukav! Bal and his bodyguard Liu Hai-feng are
destroyed by Lukav's forces. Kazuki and the other head into battle so that can
get in the base to save the girls.

and harder to hit. You will need to gang up on each unit to

Mission 55
Aganinst Dennis' instincts, Kazuki heads off into Yancheng base. Marcus talks
some sense into Dennis and they all go in the base together. Lukav talks to
Alisa and Emma again and now we see that the young Kazuki is considered a major
threat by Lukav and Lukav decides its time to do away with the boy. As the group
gets to the center of the base Lukav is waiting and even shows the two girls
waiting to be rescued.

Notes:
1.) Lukav is located in a hard to get to space. The floor around
him is rotted away and you can't surround him. You will just
have to do your best. Try destroying the crates nearby to get
in closer to him.
2.) Take your time and gang up, these wanzers are tough!
3.) After you defeat Lukav Bal's bodyguard Liu Hai-feng blast into
the base. he didn't die after all. Liu knocks Lukav off into
one of the pits surrounding him. he then goes after the girls,
wanting to destroy all the Imaginary Numbers to honor Bal. the
battle resumes and you have to destroy Liu.
4.) After you defeat Liu he urges Kazuki to destroy Emma and Alisa
because Lukav's plans involve them and if they are destroyed
his plans of domination will fail. After his wanzer blows up
the battle (if there any wanzers left) continues.

Mission 56
You finally get Emma and Alisa back saftely and the group heads off to attempt
to get back to Japan. While the group is out we see what Dennis was ordered to
do by the USN. He has orders to kills Emma. After much soul searching he decides
to disobey orders, knowing that he will be in
big trouble with the USN. He confides in Marcus and the rest of the group his
decision to disobey orders. Emma also reveals that their father, Isao Takemura
might have something to do with Lukav and the coup. The group goes to an old
shipyard to procure a ship to get back to Japan. After meeting an aging Da Han
Zhong solider that believes that he owns the shipyard the USN special forces
shows up to "punish" the traitors for disobeying orders and to carry out the
original orders to kill Emma.

1.) The special forces are good and you will need to be extra
careful when battling them.

Mission 57
The old man Yang tells the group that he rebuilds the ships that the military
throws away and he agrees to give the group a ship to use. Have the group talk
to Yang before they set out then go to the hangar and buy some equipment for
cheap! The group gets the ship loaded and they set out for sea. Before they make
it to Japan some patrol/attack boats show up to destroy the ship. Kazuki thinks
that his father Isao Takemura set them up.

Notes:
1.) Take long range attacking units on this mission!
2.) Make sure you have some repairs and some missile reloads too!
3.) The level might end early (as it did when I played).

(NETCOMSYS/CORPORATION/JAPAN) on the picture that's with the
mail to get Woo's email address.

Mission 58
A battleship starts shooting at the team and force them to surrender. After that
the group is "escorted" to the Sasebo base. Kazuki's father is there! Kazuki
starts in on his father about the coup he started. Isao denies he started the
coup but everyone else seems to have their
minds already made up. He also tells the group that Lukav is not dead and in
fact is in Japan. Isao tells them that the man named Sasaki planned the coup and
the MIDAS project. Isao was caught spying on Sasaki and was made the scapegoat
in the whole matter. Sasaki plans on mass producing MIDAS bombs with Lukav. He
also reveals that Lukav can make the MIDAS bombs without the help of Emma or
Alisa since he is an Imaginary Number himself. Isao tells the two girls that he
did know that they were Imaginary Numbers from the beginning, but he did not use
them, he loved too much for that. Isao tells Kazuki that he will deal with Lukav
and MIDAS and that he should stay out of the matter now. Isao is arrested by
Sasaki's puppets in the JDF. It seems that Sasaski's men are not finished
looking for Kazuki and his friends. The JDF special forces find the group and
attack.

Notes:
1.) Bring your group together and go after each group of two, one
at a time.
Network:
1.) Kazuki has new mail.
2.) Emma has new mail.
3.) Jose has new mail.
4.) Marcus has new mail. Reply to that mail. Also Marcus can mail
Susan Armstrong.
5.) Secret wanzer: Go to (ARMOREDKIN/OTHER/JAPAN) then go to the
BBS. Go and look at the 3rd message and you will see a phone
number 555(XKR)224. Take the number to
(AUSPEND/OTHER/AUSTRALIA) and use the Inferno Dial located in
the Garbage Pit and dial the number. The parts of the new
wanzer will be placed in your inventory so you will have to
put it together yourself.

Mission 59
The group feels the need to join the 8th division. They head out to join them.
Next we see Isao talking with Kawada when Sasaki shows up. He has gotten the
Japanese government to back the use of the MIDAS project and tells Kawada to
leave Takemura's children alone since he feels that they are no threat anymore.
He also believes that once they have a MIDAS bomb finished they will no longer
need Lukav's assistance. Sasaki gives the order to destroy the 8th division.
Soon the 8th division (with the team now as members) comes under attack by the
JDF's 4th division. Kazuki gets the 8th division commander Takiguchi to retreat
while the team holds the attackers off. He agrees and the team goes against the
4th division.

Notes:
1.) Take you best units into this tough battle.
2.) Destroy the missilers first.
3.) Use the mountain that you start out on as a nice place for
defense for a couple of turns.

Mission 60
Sasaki issues orders to continue pursuing the 8th division and to plan a
surprise attack to destroy the force. Upon seeing what is happening the group
decides to block the attacking force at Nagahama where they suspect that a
surprise attack will be mounted. The enemy wanzers debark at the harbor but
their surprise raid is caught by surprise by the team.

Notes:
1.) These are some heavy duty wanzers and they are pretty close
together so take plenty of repairs and try to keep your units
close to each other.

Mission 61
The team comes up with the plan to try a pincer attack by attacking at Mt. Aso
and Omuta. Alisa is a real tactics genius! The group has to split up again.
Group A has Kazuki already in it and team B has Ryogo and Yun already in it so
balance the rest of your forces. Group B will attack at Mt. Aso first and group
A will go on and attack at Omuta.

Notes:
1.) There are lots of tanks so go in quick and take them out fast.

1.) Talk to Former Solider and he gives the password: SINTJ.

Mission 62
Kazuki's team has to face off with the forces in the city of Omuta. It turns out
to be Kuroi and his special forces. Before the battle Kuroi and Kazuki get into
a argument about MIDAS and Kuroi's vision of a more powerful Japan.

Notes:
1.) Make sure you quickly go after the helicopters.

Mission 63
All the sudden the base at Sasebo surrenders. Although everyone thinks it could
be a trap they go to investigate it. It turns out that Lukav is sending in the
DHZ fleet to attack Japan so as to get the MIDAS. Kawada and Sasaki saw that
they were being used by Lukav and now need the assistance of the 8th division
and Kazuki's team. Lukav is headed to Okinawa City where MIDAS is located. Isao
tells Kazuki that his group is going after Lukav. The group heads out and sneaks
into the harbor to get an LST to go to Okinawa City. At the harbor where they
land some wanzers come up out of the water to attack. Even some wanzer/subs!

Notes:
1.) Stay away from the fighters as much as possible.
2.) Attack Rosavia with missiles from a distance.

Mission 64
Lukav and his DHZ forces have taken control of Okinawa Ocean City and is
starting to move into the mainland. The only way to get into the city is way of
a bridge leading into the city/island. The stage is set for the final assault on
the MIDAS labratory base. The end is in
sight!

Notes:
1.) Be careful of the attackers with cannons, stay way back and
let them come to you. This will give you time to do some
damage to the other units. Once they get close enough to
attack you. Take all of your units and gang up on them fast!

1.) Ryogo has new mail.
2.) Linny has new mail.
3.) Talk to JDF solider, then to Koike in the Hangar and he gives
you the password: EHOBA.

Mission 65
After arriving in the residential area of Okinawa Ocean City the group runs in
to Lukav in a huge wanzer! He is blocking the entrance to the base where the
MIDAS is. Jared and Rosavia are in huge wanzers as well.

1.) After the first turn Lukav and his bad wanzer heads into the
base! Whew!

Mission 67
The group gets to the core and the power unit that holds the MIDAS bomb. Alisa
is sent in to dismantle the MIDAS but she can't! It has been merged with the
power unit. the only way they can get it apart is to disconnect the different
power units of the City/Island. That would
require actually dismantling the city! The team splits up one last time, one
group to evacuate the citizens and the other to start the dismantling sequence.
Emma and Kazuki are on one team (A) while Ryogo is on the other (B). The group
needs to get through a large room where the pistons of a huge engine go up and
down to get to the control room. Jared has an ambush set up to stop the team!

Notes:
1.) This was (to me) the most difficult level of the game simply
because of the time it takes. If you want to skip the
rising/lowering piston animation, press the start button.
2.) The pistons change position every turn and this makes it
impossible for some wanzers to move much. Take only 2 legged
wanzers on this mission.
3.) I suggest also saving the level (in the "in game' save slot)
right after you start this level. I had to restart this level
more than 4 times and I could have saved a lot of time if I
had saved at the very beginning of the level instead of having
to go through all the dialogue before the mission.
4.) The 4 legged wanzer (Jared) can be beaten easily from a
distance. He will not move off the piston closest to him. So
all you have to do is keep attacking him with a long range
rifle from as far away as you can.

Mission 68
Emma, Kazuki, and Iaso make it to the control room. First they have to try to
abort the separation sequence started by Lukav. The abort program isn't working!
The process starts! This is some cool animation! Okinawa Ocean City starts to
separate from the mainland and starts out
to sea! Emma orders Ryogo to use the DHZ's landing crafts to evacuate the
citizens off the island. Kazuki and Emma go help while Alisa and Isao stay in
the control room. At the wharf the Changli soldiers are getting nervous at
what's going on.

Mission 69
The citizens are carried away to safetly leaving the city to the final battle!
Isao and Alisa are in the control room and Alias says that she intends to take
the MIDAS far out to sea and to detonate it herself. Isao says that he will
sacrifice himself and pleads that Alisa listen to him. She sadly agrees.
Suddenly Lukav shows up! Alisa is captured again and you must go for it all in
this final fight in the core of the base. There is no time since the island
begins its collapse into the ocean! Ryogo has a plan and the group blasts
through the wall with the LST and decide to end it once and for all! Lukav has
the upper hand but suddenly a wanzer blasts in from behind and knock over
Lukav's wanzer! Its Isao! Lukav uses his deadly beam cannon and blasts Isao's
wanzer, killing him. This is the last straw! No Mercy...... Isao's sacrifice
gives the team just enough time for Alisa to get away and for the group to go in
and save the world!!!!!!! Lukav's wanzer has some sort of laser weapon that does
major damage so you will have to keep clear of him until you can attack with
confidence.

4 Missilers 1 Boss
Notes:
1.) First off gang up and attack and attempt to destroy (or
incapacitate) at least two of the missilers. Then you can
split up and take on the others and finally Lukav.
2.) I found that the missilers kept attack Kazuki and would not
stop. This is good since it kept the heat off the others as
they did their thing. I kept Kazuki at the back (but still in
missile range) and just kept repairing parts that got damaged.
This kept him around long enough to keep the missilers busy.
3.) 2 others started up the side ramps (each one on a different
side) toward the Lukav while the last guy (Ryogo in my case)
went straight ahead and stayed right infront of and below the
platform where the Lukav was.
4.) Lukav was so occupied with destroying Ryogo that I was able to
bring the 2 wanzers that went up the side ramps to get right
up on the boss and attack with out much trouble.

Mission 70
Alisa tricks the team and she stays to set off the MIDAS bomb. She knows that if
its not destroyed, others will find it and use it for their own evil purposes.
The team sets off the MIDAS bomb safetly and saves the day! The JDF denied
claims of a mega weapon and all evidence
of MIDAS was lost in the Okinawa Ocean City disaster although the DHZ tried to
spread the information. The USN and Japan plan to work together to fight the
DHZ. The president of the USN holds a press conference to denounce the DHZ and
the OCU in an attempt to cover up the fact that they developed the MIDAS by
discrediting the other nations. The team lands at the embassy during the press
conference to deal out some final justice and to tell the REAL truth!

1.) The enemy doesn't have high HP bodies, but their weapons do
some big damage.
2.) The secret of MIDAS is revealed! What an ending! What a news
conference!!!!!!!
