Hello and Welcome to my One Piece Grand Battle FAQ!! I started watching
the Anime One Piece a couple of months ago and it is still running! I
just love the anime! So....if you are a One Piece fan, you might like
the game also! Sit back, relax, watch the Anime, play the game and enjoy
reading my guide!!

2. Basic Controls

/\ Button- Jump (press again for Double Jump)
[] Button- Grab Item
X Button- Block
O Button- Attack
L1/R1 Button- Charge (then press the Command for Hyper Combo)
Throw- Close to the opponent and press []
Throw Item- Grab Item and press f + O
Downward Attack- Jump then d + O
Upward Attack- u + O
Air Recovery- While being knocked in the air, tap X

3. The Main Menu
----------
There are four Modes (3 Modes, the last can be unlocked) that you can
choose from. And they are:
Event Battle (Going Merry Boat of Mugiwara Kaizoku Dan)
- Single Player. Fight your way through 6 stages. A second
player may join in and finishing the game using a character will unlock
a secret character. See my Secrets Revealed on unlocking other
characters.
Grand Battle (Crossed Swords)
- Versus Battle. In this mode there are three types of
Battle mode that you can choose.
1P Vs. 2P- Play against your friends (or rivals)
1P Vs. COM- You against the Computer
COM Vs. 2P- Same as the second but your friend against the Computer
Option Mode (Helm of the ship, you know...the wheel thingy?)

opponents. When this is done, connect it with Kaenboushi!

6.a How to use Hyper Moves
In order to use it, here are some instructions (I'm very sorry, this is
my first time doing an ASCII and it is unimpressive):

For example, this is your lifebar and the two letter I represents the
border for your Hyper Moves and the box is which level the life bar is
in (Sample A). As the opponent receives damage to you, the "LV 1" which
appears can now be used by tapping L1 or R1 and the button command
(Sample B). Be careful, though. If you use a healing item, you will
restore health but if it is near the border, it will reduce by 1 meaning
if your life bar is in Level 2 and you used a healing item, it will go
back to Level 1.

5. Secrets Revealed
----------
Note: In order to unlock a certain charcter, you must play Event Battle
Mode.
Unlock Treasure Item
Clear Event Battle with any character (difficulty doesn't matter).
Unlock Buggy
Clear Event Battle using Luffy or Zoro.
Unlock Don Krieg
Clear Event Battle using Sanji.
Unlock Kuro
Clear Event Battle using Usopp.
Unlock Tashigi
In Event Battle, choose Zoro and defeat Buggy in your first play. Then
in your second play, choose Zoro again and when you reach the last
stage, Tashigi will fight you.
Unlock Captain Smoker
In Event Battle, choose Luffy and defeat Buggy in your first play. Then
in your second play, choose Luffy again and when you reach the last
stage, Captain Smoker will fight you.
