For the total HP and MP of each character just add the starting HP and MP to the
sum of bonus for that level. Example with TERRA at Lv 40 HP = 2534 MP = 514:
2494 (sum of HP bonus) + 40 (TERRA’s starting HP) = 2534
498 (sum of MP bonus) + 16 (TERRA’s starting MP) = 514
“Lv” is the level.
“Experience” is the amount of experience needed to reach that level.
“HP+” is the HP bonus for the level.
“HP =” is the total sum of HP bonus gained up to that level.
“MP+” is the MP bonus for the level.
“MP=” is the total sum of MP bonus gained up to that level.
“TERRA,” “CYAN,” “SABIN,” and “CELES” are skills learned at that level.
Note: The first 2 skills for each character are learned before the starting
level and are included for completion purpose only.
3. Get 9999 HP & 999 MP By Level 99---------------------------------------------
Note: This is to get 9999 HP and 999 MP without equipment such as the Green
Beret, Red Cap, Muscle Belt, Bard’s Hat, Minerva, or Crystal Orb.
To get 9999 HP for any character by level 99 use the Esper “Bahamut” (HP +50%)
for three level-ups between levels 59 and 74. Get “Bahamut” from Doom Gaze.
To get 999 MP is a little different from the previous method. The characters
starting with 10+ MP will automatically get 999 MP by level 99.
For 999 MP by level 99 LOCKE needs 3, CYAN needs 5, SHADOW needs 4, EDGAR needs
4, SABIN needs 7, and SETZER needs 1 additional MP using “Crusader” (MP +50%).
SABIN is the only character that may need to get two level-ups all the others
can do it in one depending on the MP bonus. Get “Crusader” after defeating all
eight dragons.
4. A few kupos------------------------------------------------------------------
I decided to create this guide because the current experience guide was only
intended for FF3/FFVI (Final Fantasy 3/VI) on the SNES (Super NES). If and when
I play my FFVI SNES version I may even send dinobotmaximized the missing
information so the SNES experience guide can be complete too. While the
experience requirements and HP level bonus are accurate; the MP level bonus is
not compatible with the PlayStation version. I did not make lengthy individual
character charts because, there is no need since the experience requirements and
level bonus are the same for all characters. I sincerely hope that this guide is
of help.
