Hello everybody, thank you for using my FAQ. I’ve seen a great Moogle FAQ,
but isn’t it more fun to be able to read all letters the Moogles send each
other by using you as a mailman?
I have much time at the moment, and I like Moogles. So I think that’s

This is my first In-depth Guide. I made the FAQ because I think that some
people want to know the funny things the Moogles say. Not like you really
need the information, but it’s fun to know.

Q: What’s a Moogle?
A: A Moogle is a funny-looking creature. It sees as if it has its eyes
closed. They have a bon-bon looking thing on their head. It’s called
pompom. They have a small body with a big red nose and batlike wings on
their back. And a very important thing: they often say Kupo.
Q: Is there a difference between Moogles?
A: Of course there is. You have a male Moogle and a female Moogle, yet
it’s sometimes hard to see whether they’re male or female. There are
Also different Moogles like the traveling Moogle named Stiltzkin or the
deliver Moogle Artemicion.
Q: Why are there Moogles in the game?
A: They have a great purpose in the game. They can save your game!!
You can also use Tents. Tents can heal your life for a great deal.
Some Moogles have a Moogle Shop. And there’s another option called
Mognet.
The very first moogle that allows you to save is Kupo. He explains it this
Way - Kupo: “I enter you in Moogle Diary! If you want to save game onto
MEMORY CARD, just ask us moogles, kupo! And you can regain health
if you have a tent, kupo!”
Q: What’s Mognet?
A: Mognet is a mail delivery system between Moogles. They can send and
receive letters to and from Moogles in other locations. But delivery
has been very sporadic lately, so they want you to help them deliver
their mail. Moogles will always ask you to deliver mail when they say:
“I’ve got a favour to ask of you," although sometimes depending on their
personality, they may say something a bit different. You will always be
able to deliver mail, even if you have control over an other character.
But know that you can only have three letters in your pocket. You can’t
take four letters. This isn't really a problem, however, because as long
as you follow this sidequest diligently, you'll never end up having so
many letters that you won't be able to carry another when it comes time to
receive it. Sometimes you will receive letters from other people. Ruby for
example.
If you tell a moogle you won't deliver their letter, they'll say "I'm
so sad, kupo..." However, this is another case where you can't screw
yourself because you can always go back in and agree to deliver the
letter. The "default Mognet menu" message at this point is "I want
mail! Kupo!"

This is where I write the full letters the Moogles send each other.
Sometimes letters may change because of a certain action taken by you.
I will write it down if it’s a letter that can be different. Notice that I
took over exactly the same text, lines, punctuation and paragraphs as in
the game.
The first Moogle you meet is Kupo. He’s in Alexandria and he tells you all
about Mognet. Here's his explanation:
Kupo: Kupo! I'll tell you about Mognet! Mognet is a mail delivery system
between moogles! We can send and receive letters to and from
moogles in other locations! Kupo! But delivery has been very
sporadic lately! So I want you to help us deliver mail! Kupo!
Will you help us?
Sure
*No way
Explain Mognet once again
If you're heartless enough to Kupo "No way," then Kupo will just say
"I'm begging you! Please help us! Kupo!" If you keep saying it, the
message just continues to repeat, so it would seem that this is an
offer you can't refuse, at least not directly.
He’ll ask you to give a letter to Monty.
Kupo: I have a favour to ask, Kupo! I want you to deliver a letter to Monty!
You now have control over Steiner. Go to the Moogle in A.Castle/Guardhouse.
This is the Moogle Mosh. If you’ve jumped a couple of times playing the
jump-rope game, then Mosh will read a letter with Steiner.

The number, of course, changes depending on how many times you skipped.
In Evil Forest, the Prima Vista/Crash Site you will find the Moogle Mosco.
You can’t do anything here, except saving your game or use a Tent. However,
Mosco will explain the Active Time Event system and have you do your first
one --- if you try to cancel out, he'll insist that you hit SELECT. After
you got permission from Baku to leave Tantalus and save Garnet from Plant
Brain, go to Mosco again and he’ll have a letter for you.
Mosco: There's a letter for Zidane!

In Evil Forest/Spring you’ll find Monty in a tree. You’ll see his pompom
sticking out. Give Monty a letter.

Monty: A cold place... Oh, I know where he is! Kupo! There must be
something strange going on.
The day after you’ve escaped Evil Forest a Moogle will come to you. It’s
Monty!! Good to know he made it out of Evil Forest too. He’ll tell you
about Mogster in an ATE, "Teach Me, Mogster!" Visit the "ATEs" section
of this guide under "More Moogle Things" to learn more about it.
After that, he’ll give you the Moogle’s Flute.
With this flute, you can now call a Moogle anywhere on the world map so you
can use a Tent or save your game. Press Square to play it and Moguo the
Moogle will always come to you.
In the Ice Cavern/Cave you will find a frozen Moogle. You can melt the ice
around the Moogle so you can free him. After you freed him you get to see
another "Teach me, Mogster!" ATE called "Teach Me, Mogster!" Lesson 2.
You get to meet Mois the Moogle. You have to deliver a letter
to Gumo for him.
Mois: Hey, you gotta deliver a letter to Gumo for me! Kupo!
You will find Gumo in Dali, in the Inn. Give him the letter.
Gumo: A letter from Mois? Hmm... I don't like Mois, but I'll read it
anyway. Kupo.

Gumo won’t give you a letter to deliver.
In Dali/Storage Area, in the underground you can find another Moogle in a
barrel. His pompom will be sticking out. You will find Kumop. He’ll ask you
to deliver a letter to Mogki.
Kumop: I have a favour to ask, kupo! I want you to deliver a letter to
Mogki!
In the Lindblum Castle/Guest Room (first time in Lindblum) you will find
Mogki. You can now give her the letter.
Mogki: It's a letter from Kumop, kupokupo! Thank you very much! Kupokupo!

Mogki: Stiltzkin! Stiltzkin! Stiltzkin! I wonder if he stopped in Lindblum!
Talk some more with Mogki about Mognet and she then asks you to deliver a
letter to Atla.
Mogki: I have a favour to ask, kupo! I want you to deliver a letter to Atla!
You wake up in the Inn in Lindblum and get to see the final "Teach me,
Mogster!" ATE (My first synthesis lesson.) There’s a Moogle in the room
next door. This is Moodon the Moogle. He’ll give you a letter from Ruby.
Moodon: There's a letter for Zidane!

A little later you’ll find yourself at Lindblum Castle/Dragon’s Gate.
You can see a Moogle here. It’s Moonte. Moonte has received a letter from
Stiltzkin.
Moonte: I got a letter from Stiltzkin! Do you know Stiltzkin, kupo?

Moonte: He went to Burmecia? It might be dangerous there! Kupo!
In the Gizamaluke’s Grotto you will find a Moogle near a big bell. Her
husband is trapped inside the bell. She’ll ask your help, but you can’t
help her either because the bell is too big. Then the Moogle will sniffs on
Vivi and she will smell the Kupo Nut you got in Lindblum, in a mandatory
ATE called Vivi's Shopping. It would seem this is another offer you can't
refuse because if you say she can't have it, she'll just cry "Pleaaase!!!
Kupooo!!!" and eventually you'll have to give it to her. Give her the Kupo
Nut and her husband will be free. They’ll run away to a room on the right
of the bell after you’ve freed him. Go here. You will find the Moogle
couple here. The female is called Mogmi and her husband is called Moguta.
Talk to Mogmi. She’s received a letter from Moodon.
Mogmi: There's a letter from Moodon! It's probably a letter of
congratulations on our marriage! Let's read it! Kupo!

Mogmi: It wasn't a congratulation letter, but it was fun to read! Kupo!
This letter can be different. It depends on which character you let win the
Festival of the Hunt and the points they have.
Moguta is "kupo for kupo nuts" and wants more. Starting from this point
onward, moogles will give start giving you kupo nuts when you deliver
letters to them. Check the KUPO NUTS section of this guide for more
information on this.
Before you leave, talk to Moguta. He'll say that he loves Kupo Nuts and
ask if you do too. If you say "Not Really," he'll say that he hates you.
(Hee!) However, once you finally say "Yes," he'll say that he likes you
and when you try to leave, he'll give you the Holy Bell, which will enable
you to continue onwards.
Once you get to South Gate with Dagger and Steiner, you will notice a
Moogle on your left. It’s Grimo. He’ll ask you to deliver a letter to
Nazna.
Grimo: I have a favour to ask, kupo! I want you to deliver a letter to
Nazna!
In Burmecia/Vault you will see the Moogle Atla. Give Atla the letter.
Atla: Thanks for delivering the letter from Mogki! Kupo!

At the Summit Station where Steiner and Dagger arrive, you will see Nazna
at the resting area. Give her the letter.
Nazna: A letter from Grimo? Kupo! Thanks for the delivery!

Now, talk to Nazna again about Mognet and she’ll give you a letter. You
must deliver this letter to Mochos.

In Treno/Knight’s House you will find Mogrich with a dog. Mogrich likes to
fly about in circles, so it may take a small bit of effort (not that much!)
to catch him. He’s received a letter from Stiltzkin.
Mogrich: There's a letter from Stiltzkin! Let's read it together! Kupo!

When you have control over Freya in Cleyra, go to the Inn again and talk to
Mopli. She will have a letter from Monev.

Mopli: That sounds awful! Kupo!! I'm gonna pack and leave with Stiltzkin!
Again, in Cleyra you will find Mopli with Stiltzkin to the right of the
entrance. It’s where you fought the Antlion. They will be here once you’ve
fought Alexandrian soldiers outside of Cleyra and return. Mopli will ask
you to deliver a letter to Serino.
Mopli: I have a favour to ask, kupo! I want you to deliver a letter to
Serino!
If you access the Mognet menu again when talking to Mopli, she'll say
"Oh, no..." Mopli also shows up again later inside the Cleyra temple so
that you can save your game or rest before your next big battle.
On the Red Rose, after you’ve heard the conversation between Brahne and
Beatrix, return with Zidane to the area where you were before and a moogle
will now be there. It’s Serino. Go to her and give her the letter.
Serino: A letter from Mopli? How unusual! Kupo! Let's read it together!

Talk to Serino again and she will give you a letter you have to give to
Moodon.
Serino: I have a favour to ask, kupo! I want you to deliver a letter to
Moodon!
In Alexandria Castle/Chapel you will find Mosh while you have Dagger in
your hands. He’s just received a letter from Kupo.
This letter can be different. It depends on what your reaction was to
Brahne’s question. When Queen Brahne asks Dagger if she believes her, you
have the option to “Believe her” or “Don’t believe her”
The Believe Her Letter:
Mosh: Kupo! I just received a letter from Kupo! Let's read it together!

In this very same Chapel, Mosh will give you a letter you have to deliver
to Monty. He will give you the letter after you’ve escaped from the
Bandersnatches.

In Pinnacle Rocks you will find Monty. Give the letter to Monty.
Monty: Thanks for delivering this letter from Mosh! Kupo!

When you want to exit Pinnacle Rocks, you will be given the option to leave
Pinnacle Rocks, or to stay. Stay in Pinnacle Rocks and go back to Monty.
He will say he’s just received a letter from Stiltzkin.
Monty: Kupo! This letter is tattered... It's from... Stiltzkin, kupo. I'm
scared. Read it along with me?

If you access the Mognet menu again with Moorock, he'll say "Oh, I love

Later in Pandemonium, you will meet Moorock again.

The traveling Moogle I named before is called Stiltzkin. You can sometimes
buy items and other things from him. Do this and he can continue his
journey. If you don’t buy his stuff, he won’t give you a special item in
the end. Buy everything he sells!! You can get better items by progressing
the game and meet him again. Also, the things you buy from Stiltzkin are
cheap and sometimes rare. Here's something else interesting about
Stiltzkin --- Stiltzkin has apparently decided to drop the use of the
normal moogle patois --- you don't ever hear him say "kupo."
Here are the places where you meet Stiltzkin. The first time you meet
Stiltzkin he’s in Alexandria and talks with Kupo about going on a big journey.
After that he leaves.
Stiltzkin: Kupo...? You here?
Kupo: Kupo! Stiltzkin! Why that getup? You leaving, kupo?
Stiltzkin: Yeah, and this time I might be away for a long time.
Kupo: I'll miss you, kupo.

In Burmecia/Vault he will appear once you get the Lightning Staff in the
chest behind Atla. He’ll ask if you want to buy something.
He’ll sell you a Soft, Hi-Potion and Ether for 333 Gil.
Once you buy items from Stiltzkin, he generally has a comment about the
area he's in.
Stiltzkin: I can't stand all this rain.
When you have control over Freya in Cleyra, go to the Inn and you will see
Stiltzkin. He’ll sell you a Hi-Potion, Ether and Phoenix Pinion for 444 Gil.
Stiltzkin: This place is so dusty, you know! I can't stand it.
Later, the Black Mages will invade Cleyra...
Stiltzkin: Wh-What the...? What just happened?
In Fossil Roo, you will find Stiltzkin standing next to Mogki.
Buy the Phoenix Pinion, Remedy and Ether for 555 Gil.
Stiltzkin: What the heck is this place!? It's like a maze!
On the Mountain Path/Roots you will find Stiltzkin standing next to Suzuna.
Buy the Magic Tag, Tent and Ether for 666 Gil.
Stiltzkin: Conde Petie is a beautiful place!
In Alexandria/Steeple you see Stiltzkin next to Artemicion and Kupo.
Buy the Phoenix Pinion, Hi-Potion and Elixir for 777 Gil.
Stiltzkin says that he'll use the money for his next journey.
Stiltzkin: I've been thinking about how the Mist disappeared, but I gotta
do more traveling to find the answer.
And so begins Stiltzkin's next journey.
Once you enter Oeilvert, immediately go to the right to find these Moogles
here!! If you first go to the left, you won’t be able to buy Stiltzkin’s
stuff. In Oeilvert/Star Display you see Stiltzkin next to Mooel.
Buy the Hi-Potion, Emerald and Elixir for 888 Gil.
Stiltzkin: There's something fishy about Mognet getting fouled-up. What the
heck is Artemicion thinking?
In Bran Bal go to the Storage Room and you will find Moorock in a pot. Free
him, exit the Storage Room and enter again. You will now see Stiltzkin.
Buy the Diamond, Ether and Elixir for 2222 Gil.
Stiltzkin: What a strange place...
On disc 4, go to Alexandria/Steeple. Stiltzkin will have a comment before
offering to sell you anything.
Stiltzkin: I tried to figure out what Artemicion was doing, but I didn't
understand how he felt.
Now you can buy a Moonstone, Ruby and Elixir from him for 5555 Gil.
Stiltzkin: Thanks, buddy. I'll sell you stuff again when I get more.
Talk to Stiltzkin again and he will say: “Oh, I wanted to do something for
you, ‘cause you always buy stuff from me.”
You will now receive a Ribbon.
Stiltzkin: Traveling the world has taught me how little I know!

You can reach Mognet Central with at least a Gold Chocobo. Go with your Gold
Chocobo to the north-east of the Outer Continent. Here’s an island where you
can find a Mountain Crack. Use your Chocobo to open a Mountain Crack with a
Dead Pepper. You can also reach it by using a Red Chocobo (mountain and
shallow-water crossing) or a Dark Blue Chocobo (ocean, mountain and shallow-
water.) You need to call Choco near Desert Palace, there are some tracks here.
Now go to the beach to the opposite of Desert Palace. Here you can follow the
reef to the island where Mognet Central is located. Of course, if you have a
gold chocobo, then you can simply land in one of the forests on the island. If
you have a dark blue one, then all you have to do is travel the most direct
ocean path and travel through the shallows. Also note that once you have the
Invincible, you can land on this island with it --- although you will need to
visit at least once with your chocobo to crumble the mountain cracks. If none
of this stuff about Dead Peppers or chocobo types is sounding at all familiar,
then try one of the Chocobo FAQs here at GameFAQs.
This is Mognet Central, the place where letters come and go. You will
realize there’s a problem after talking with the few Moogles that are in
here. They say the machine stopped because they need a certain item.
Mogreg: This is Mognet Central!
Mogliana: I wonder if Mognet will go out of business, kupo?
Mogriffin: The grown-up moogles don't know what to do, because the
equipment is broken!
Mosh: I wonder if Mognet will ever be the same?
Moss: If only we had that item...
Artemicion keeps saying that he shouldn’t have used it on himself so much.
Artemicion: I shouldn't have used so much of it on myself... I only did it
because it makes my coat soft and shiny... but after I used it
all up, the gears started to grind...
If you've been following the moogle letters and sidequest as well, then you
probably caught wind of the problem (and some idea of what caused it) before
ever even stepping foot in Mognet Central.
Notice also the music here --- this "Moogle (Mogri's) Theme" --- a remixed
version of "Mog's Theme" from Final Fantasy VII, also "Critter Tripper
Fritter" from Final Fantasy V. Why it's called "Mogri's Theme" is apparently
unknown --- there aren't any moogles in the game named Mogri, although there
are some with names similar to that.
You can solve their problem at disc 4 only. Before starting this sidequest
it's strongly recommended that you put Quina in your party --- you'll find
out why soon. Go to Alexandria/Steeple and talk to Kupo. He says:
“I think we’re getting close to solving the mystery of Mognet! Kupo! Then
he wants you to deliver a letter to Atla. Atla is the Moogle in Burmecia.
You meet him in the Vault, the place where you could save before you fought
Beatrix in disc 1. Give Atla the letter.
Atla: A letter from Kupo? I wonder what it could be? Kupo?

at the Ice Cavern, but since you can’t enter the Ice Cavern, go to Qu’s Marsh
in the Mist Continent. Walk to the entrance of Fossil Roo and give him the
letter. You must have Quina in your party in order to reach this area, so if
s/he's not in the party, you won't be able to get in. Aren't you glad now that
you added hir before starting the sidequest? If you didn't, you'll have to go

For some reason, the game breaks from the normal format here by adding
in the words "A letter" in the heading --- there doesn't seem to be any
reason for this, though. Kupo will say he doesn’t know where to get it.
Now go to the mini-theatre and talk to Ruby. She will give you the
Superslick, necessary for the machine in Mognet Central.
Ruby: Well, fry my hide! How'd you know I use this here Superslick in
my hair? You want to try some? How come you be a-needin' it? You
wanna be beautiful like me? Yer' pullin' my leg, aren'tcha? No?
Well, I'll get my folks to send some more. You can have this one.

Now go back to Mognet Central. You may also wanna visit Moguta one more
time and exchange the Kupo Nut you received from Kupo, however, it's
worth keeping in mind that if you do, you'll be left without one in your
Key Items inventory.
Now talk to Artemicion. He’ll ask if you want to give it to him. Give it to
him. Stiltzkin will use the Superslick on the machine and it will start
working again!!

A Kupo Nut is a Moogle’s favourite food. There’s a Moogle called Moguta and
he really loves them. If you give him a Kupo Nut, you will get an item in
return. You can find Moguta in Gizamaluke’s Grotto. Moguta is Mogmi’s
husband.
The first time you meet them, Moguta will be trapped in a bell. Vivi will
give Mogmi the Kupo Nut so Moguta can break free. I don’t count this first
Kupo Nut in my “Kupo Nut” section, because you don’t really get an item.
Moguta will give you one item per Kupo Nut. What item you get is random
(usually --- there are a few that are set and can't be changed.)
So you can actually just reset if you don’t like the item and try again.
Remember this!! You can never have more than 1 Kupo Nut!! The reason for
that is probably, because it’s a key item.
Q: Why am I doing this?
A: It’s a little side-quest, you won’t get anything special, just a lot of
items and two pieces of equipment. It’s up to you whether you want to do
this side-quest or not.
Q: Where do I get Kupo Nuts and what do I get for them?
A: You get your first Kupo Nut in Lindblum. Vivi will receive the Kupo Nut
in an ATE you can’t skip, so you can’t miss it. I don’t count this one
in because you don’t get an item from Moguta, except the Holy Bell, but
this key item is connected with the story line.
You can actually get a Kupo Nut every time you meet a Moogle after you met
Moguta. You must give the Kupo Nut to Moguta in order to get one from an
other Moogle, because you can never have more than 1 Kupo Nut, remember?
The Moogle you give a letter to will say: “I’ll give you this in exchange
for delivery!” Then go to Moguta as soon as you can and give him the nut.
After that you can get another Kupo Nut from any Moogle, that is, if you
delivered a letter. The Moogle won’t give you a Kupo Nut if you already
have one.
Total of Kupo Nuts you get from who:
1. The first time you enter the Dragon’s Gate, you have to deliver a
letter to Moonte. Don’t give it to him. First go to Gizamaluke’s Grotto.
Here you will meet Moguta. This is the time you can get Kupo Nuts from any
Moogle. Return to the Dragon’s Gate and you will get a Kupo Nut for the
delivery from Moonte. This can not be done if you don’t meet Moguta first.
Moonte, Dragon’s Gate. You will get an Ether/Phoenix Pinion/Tent.
I’m not sure whether this is true or not, because I was too late to try it
out. I highly suspect that you will just get an Ether, Phoenix Pinion or
Tent, but I’m not sure. I also don’t know if it affects the items you get
later in the game, but I suppose not.

2. For Atla’s Kupo Nut at Burmecia you will get
an Ether/Phoenix Pinion/Tent
3. For Nazna’s Kupo Nut at the Summit Station you will
get an Ether/Phoenix Pinion/Tent
4. For Monev’s Kupo Nut at Cleyra’s Trunk you will get an Elixir
5. The second time you come in Dragon’s Gate, don’t give the letter to
Moonte. Why not? Because you already have a Kupo Nut. You got this one
from Monev at Cleyra’s Trunk. First go to Gizamaluke’s Grotto and give
Moguta the Kupo Nut. Return to the Dragon’s Gate and deliver the letter
to Moonte. You will now get a Kupo Nut. Deliver it to Moguta and you’ll
get an Ether/Phoenix Pinion/Tent.
6. For Suzuna’s Kupo Nut at the Mountain Path/Roots you will
get an Extension!!
7. If you give the letter to Moodon you get from Mogki in Lindblum/Guest
Room and first give the Kupo Nut from Suzuna to Moguta, you can get a
Kupo Nut from Moodon if you go back to Lindblum again. Deliver it to
Moguta and you’ll get an Ether/Phoenix Pinion/Tent
8. If you deliver Mimoza’s letter to Mooel inside Oeilvert, you get a Kupo
Nut from him. Of course you will have to go to Moguta first after you
escape the Desert Palace. First go to Moguta, then to Esto Gaza.
You will get an Ether/Phoenix Pinion/Tent.
9. Mogrika in Esto Gaza will give you a letter to bring to Moolan in Mount
Gulug. You will get a Kupo Nut from Moolan. Once you get this Kupo Nut,
return to Moguta immediately, because you will also get a letter from
Moolan to deliver to Mogtaka who is also in Mount Gulug and which you
will also get a Kupo Nut from. You get an Ether/Phoenix Pinion/Tent.
10. You can get another Kupo Nut for delivering Mogki’s letter to Kumool.
You’ll get an Ether/Phoenix Pinion/Tent.
11. Deliver Moorock’s letter at Bran Bal to Mozme at Pandemonium and you’ll
get a Kupo Nut from her. For this Kupo Nut
you will get the Aloha T-shirt!!
Doing the Mognet Central Side quest will also get you Kupo Nuts.
12. Deliver the letter from Kupo at Alexandria to Atla and you get a Kupo
Nut. You will get an Ether/Phoenix Pinion/Tent.
13. Deliver the letter from Atla at Burmecia to Mogryo and you get a Kupo
Nut. You will get an Ether/Phoenix Pinion/Tent.
14. Deliver the letter from Mogryo at the Black Mage Village to Kumool and
you get a Kupo Nut. You will get an Ether/Phoenix Pinion/Tent.
15. Deliver the letter from Kumool at Ipsen’s Castle to Mois and you’ll
get a Kupo Nut. You will get an Ether/Phoenix Pinion/Tent.
16. Deliver the letter from Mois at the Fossil Roo/Entrance to Noggy and
you will get a Kupo Nut. You will get an Ether/Phoenix Pinion/Tent.
17. Deliver the letter from Noggy at Daguerro to Kupo at
Alexandria/Steeple and you will get another Kupo Nut.
You will get an Ether/Phoenix Pinion/Tent.
Doing the Kupo Nut sidequest is the only way to get that last Aloha T-shirt
into your inventory. You get seven of them from a chocobo dive-spot, but the
last one, for your eighth character can only be received this way. You don't
have to really follow this sidequest religiously though in order to get it,
generally just delivering at least one Kupo Nut to Moguta on Disc 4 should do
the trick.

Once you land in Evil Forest, a Moogle will explain something about the ATE
(Active Time Event).
ATE, kupo!
Active Time Event is a system that lets you see other events that are
happening at the same time elsewhere, kupo! Press the SELECT button when
you see the icon flashing below. You can press the button anytime while
the icon is flashing. Try pressing SELECT, kupo!
Some ATEs show up in blue lettering, while some show up in gray. The gray
ones are mandatory and you'll be taken into them automatically quickly
enough, even if you don't hit select. This first one, The Forest Keeper,
is in blue lettering, however if you try to Cancel out, the moogle will
insist "Please select the event! Kupo!"
Later, you'll have an opportunity to learn more about the game in a series
of ATEs called "Teach me, Mogster!"

| Eiko is the only one who can learn this ability. So, what does this |

| Madain Sari was a village of summoners, but these days, it's more like |
| a village of moogles. Madain Sari is packed with moogles who look after |
| Eiko and help her out. These moogles are Chimomo, Mocha, Moco, |
| Momatose,Morrison and, of course, Mog, who normally stays with Eiko. |
| (See "About | Mog" section below.) The Madain Sari moogles don't serve |
| the normal moogle functions --- you can't save your game or use a tent |
| with any of them and they don't participate in Mognet either. However, |
| after a certain point, talking to Momatose will allow you to rest and |
| Morrison standing near the exit to the village will offer to sell you |
| items. Lani will show up here later too, saying that the moogles agreed |
| to take her in. |

| Eiko will say that she never knew Mog was an Eidolon and that she |
| always looked after her disguised as a Moogle. Even though she was |
| weak, she fought her best to protect her. Then Eiko will receive |
| Mog’s Ribbon. |

| Mog also has a Tetra Master card. You can only get Mog's card by |
| playing the Rare Phantom in Memoria. Its position is 91 (top-right) on |
| the grid and its default statistics are 0M00. |

| Mog was also the name of a playable character in Final Fantasy 6 (3 US),|
| a "slam-dancing, fast talking" moogle who attacked with spears and |
| could learn dances based on various environments. FF6's Mog was very |
| masculine, hence Zidane's comment that he didn't Mog was female. |
| One other thing to note was that moogles were known as "mogs" in FF7, |
| in the "Mog House" game available in the Gold Saucer. |
