II.  STORY
=============================================================================
Somewhere in a deep volcano is an evil sorceress.  This sorceress is none
other than Nasira, sister of Jafar whom Aladdin defeated in Disney's Return
of Jafar.  Nasira is intent on reviving Jafar and getting revenge on the
street rat Aladdin.  She captures Princess Jasmine and the Sultan and puts
the palace guards under her magic.  It's up to Aladdin and his pals, Genie,
Abu, and Iago to save the day.

IV.  GAMEPLAY
=============================================================================
1.  Game screen
The screen centers around Aladdin.  The lower right meter indicates the
amount of life you have left.  Enemy attacks and fire/lava can hurt you.  Get
Genie juices to restore the life.  The number by the meter shows how many
extra lives remain.  Up to 9 lives may be earned.

The objective is to get to the end of each level.  Along the way will be
enemies, items, and checkpoints.  Passing a checkpoint will cause you to
restart from the last passed checkpoint if you die.  You do not need to kill
any enemy nor get any non-stage related items like coins, rubies, and Genie
tokens to complete levels.  You may have to get some stage related items to
complete some levels.

You will be permitted to save your game after the end of each level.  If you
run out of lives you can choose to continue if you have continues left.  The
number of continues remaining will be shown.


2. Title screen
Choose START GAME to begin the game.  You can choose from a new game or load
a previously saved game.

Choose OPTIONS to enter the options screen.  You can choose among the
following options:  Center Screen, Sound Options, or Vibration.

Center Screen
-------------
Use the D-pad or analog stick to adjust the screen.  Press SQUARE to return
to the default setting.

Sound Options
-------------
Use the D-pad or analog stick to adjust the sound effects, speech, or music.
You can also toggle between Mono, Stereo, or Surround sound.

Vibration
---------
Use the D-pad or analog stick to toggle between vibration (ON) and no
vibration (OFF).


3.  Status screen
When you pause the game, you will be shown several things.  The top left is
the game screen.  To the right will be shown the amount of non-stage related
items like coins, rubies, and Genie tokens that you have collected so far.
The right number is the maximum amount to be found for that level.  Below
that window will be shown any stage related items that you have collected.
The lower left window displays options that you can pick from.  You can
adjust the camera view from passive (does not rotate unless you do it) or
active (always behind Aladdin) in Options.  You can choose to return to the
map screen to pick another level, quit the game, or resume play.

Insects that can sting you.  Attack to kill.

Black Spirits
Evil creatures that can stun you momentarily.  Attack quickly to kill.

Brooms
Magical cleaning aids that will attack you.  Attack quickly to kill.

Cannons
Magical devices that shoot cannonballs out.  Stomp or attack to destroy.

Club Bandits
Stun with a projectile first and then attack to kill.

Cobras
Snake that can poison you.  Get antidote to cure poison.  Stomp to kill.

Cricket
Small bothersome insect.  Stomp to kill.

Crocodiles
Large reptiles that pack a mean bite.  Attack quickly to kill.

Desert Creature
Will kill you instantly by eating you.  Cannot be killed.

Eagle Men
Masked bird man that will attack.  Block and crouch counterattack to kill.

Egyptian Bulls (throw 4 daggers to stun him.  then slash once with sword)
Masked bull man that must be stunned with projectiles first.  Then attack to
kill.

Fire Eaters
These Agrabah locals will breathe fire on you.  Just attack them to make them
choke on the fire.

Fire Golems
Fire monsters that throw fireballs at you.  Can also burn when touched.
Attack quickly to kill.

Fire Snakes
Snakes with fire on them.  Stomp to kill.

Fireballs
Small magical flames that attack with fire.  Stomp to kill.

Ghouls
Undead man who cannot be killed.  Attack quickly to temporarily stop him.

Guards
Swings a spiked club.  Block and counterattack.

Kali Statues
4-armed statue that carries swords.  Will slash or spin slash.  Block and
crouch counterattack to kill.

Man-eating Plants
Large plant that bites or stings you with its sharp thorns.  Attack quickly
to kill.

Mummies
Attacks cause it to counter with green gas.  Throw projectiles to kill.
Sometimes drops its hand after death.  Kill the hand with a stomp.

Palace Guards
There are two types.  The first will attack.  Just block and counterattack.
The second type requires you to throw an apple at him to stun him.  Then
counterattack.

Pillows
These aren't your ordinary soft pillows.  They want to kill you.  Attack them
quickly to defeat.

Rats
Small rodents that can bite you.  Stomp them to kill them.

Skeletal Horsemen
A skeleton centaur.  Block and crouch counterattack to kill.

Skeletons
Undead monster that carries a sword and a shield.  Block and crouch attack to
kill.

Snake Men
Large snakes that can poison you with their attack.  Block and crouch
counterattack to kill.

Spiders
Arachnids that bite.  Crouch attack to kill.

Stone Demons
Big rock monsters that jump and cause a shockwave or pound the ground with
both hands.  Can't be killed.

Sword Bandits
Carries two swords.  Will either slash attack or spin slash.  Block and
crouch counterattack.

Zombie Men
Stun with projectiles.  Then attack to kill.

Zombie Palace Guards
Two kinds.  First kind spins around with a mallet.  Counterattack when he
gets dizzy.  The second kind attacks with a staff.  Counterattack to kill.


Bosses
------
Razoul
The captain of the guards is under Nasira's spell and will do anything to
stop Aladdin.

Arachnid
This spider is the boss of the Oasis and wants Aladdin for lunch.

Anubis
Egyptian god that will stop all intruders in the Great Pyramid.

Evil Sultan
Holds the real Sultan captive and wants to fight to the death.

Nasira and Jafar
The evil villains behind all the trouble in Agrabah won't stop until Aladdin
is defeated.

VII.  BONUS ROUNDS
=============================================================================
Slots
=====
The slot machine game occurs at the end of each level where you've collected
at least 1 Genie token.  You get to try your luck as many times as you have
Genie tokens for the level that you just completed.  Here are the possible
slot combinations that I've encountered.

3 Grey Aladdins = 1 life
3 Gold Aladdins = 3 lives
3 Genie lamps   = 1 continue
3 Genie         = free spin
3 Nasira        = nothing
2 Genie 1 Lamp  = nothing


Blue Gem Challenge
==================
The blue gem challenge is a collection of 5 mini-games that occur randomly at
the end of each level where you've collected at least 1 ruby.  You get to try
as many times as you have rubies for the level that you just completed.  The
choice of which mini-game that you play is purely random.  Here are the
possible mini-games along with their objective and strategy to win.


Aladdin Cloud Stage 1
=====================
Goal:   Get 100 coins in 60 seconds
Prize:  100 coins and blue Genie gem

It may be easier to use either the D-pad or analog stick depending on your
preference.  All you'll be doing is press LEFT or RIGHT for this bonus round.
Go right and follow the blue arrows in the background.  Jump on the clouds
and bounce to collect the coins.  Take your time to fully collect all the
coins on each cloud before bouncing to the next.  I find it easier to make
the jumps by pushing LEFT or RIGHT until Aladdin starts to fall from his
jump.  Then I let go of the direction and he lands safely on the cloud.  You
should be able to finish the round with plenty of the time to spare.


Aladdin Cloud Stage 2
=====================
Goal:   Get 100 coins in 45 seconds
Prize:  100 coins and blue Genie gem

This round is just like the other cloud stage.  Use the D-pad or analog stick
to move LEFT and RIGHT.  Bounce from cloud to cloud collecting the coins.
Take your time again because you get more than enough time to finish even
when you go slow.  Follow the arrows on where to go.  The final jump will be
a long drop downward.  Make sure that you move while falling so you can
collect the coins on the way down.  Land on the last cloud platform to end
the round.


Aladdin Pie Throwing
====================
Goal:   Hit 10 Nasira targets in 30 seconds
Prize:  100 coins and blue Genie gem

You'll get unlimited pies so don't worry about running out.  There are four
stationary targets in the back and 6 moving targets closer to you.  Aim for
the stationary targets first.  In the worst case, you'll miss the back target
but hit one of the closer targets.  After hitting all the stationary targets,
hit the moving ones.  Don't move the crosshair while you're throwing or
you'll throw off (no pun intended) the trajectory.  Position your crosshair a
little bit away from the target and throw a pie when it starts moving towards
the crosshair.  You should hit the target just as it passes your crosshair.
You can also do a last minute aim adjustment just before you throw if you
feel that you pressed the button too soon.  You should have enough time to
make many misses and still win.


Aladdin Surfboard
=================
Goal:   Get 50 coins in 45 seconds
Prize   50 coins and blue Genie gem

You'll need to do tricks like a 360 and 720 degree spins to get coins in this
bonus round.  A 360 is one full spin.  A 720 is two full spins.  You do a
full spin by either rotating the analog stick one full circle or by pressing
the D-pad in all the directions in a circular motion.  You also need to go
somewhat fast so press UP for most of the round to speed through.  You might
want to slow down (press DOWN) when collecting the coins so you don't miss
any.

Start by following the path around.  You'll see signs that read "360" and
"jump."  So jump and do a 360 by spinning once completely around.  An orange
explosion will indicate that you successfully executed the move.  Get the
coins and follow the path.  You'll see a sign that says to jump.  So jump.
Don't do any tricks or you'll fail to make the jump.  Jump again after you
land to make the second jump.  Get the coins in the path.  You'll soon come
to a sign that says "720."  So get ready to jump off the ramp and do two full
spins.  Get the coins that appear.  You'll see a sign that says "360" but
there is no ramp.  So jump off before you reach the edge of the water and do
a full spin.  Get the coins.  There's another sign that reads "360" and no
ramp again so do another full spin after you jump off the platform.  Then
drop off the next platform and jump over the final pit to get the last coins.


Jasmine Skateboard
==================
Goal:   Get 100 coins in 45 seconds
Prize:  100 coins and blue Genie gem

You'll probably want to use the D-pad for this stage.  Always press forward
when jumping to maximize the distance of the jump.  Also constantly press
SQUARE to speed up.  Speed up and jump over the pit.  You'll go up a ramp.
Speed up and jump over the pit.  Jump over the next pit and you'll land on
some fez hats.  Don't bother jumping and just roll down each hat.  You'll
land on a yellow snake.  Continue speeding up and jump at the last moment
when you get to its tail.  You'll land on a blue platform.  Jump off when you
get to the end.  Jump again just moments after you land as the sign in the
background tells you to do so.

The camera will change views and you'll be on Genie's tongue.  Don't lose
control now.  It helps to let go of the D-pad once you've cleared the jump so
you roll down the middle.  Get the coins and jump off at the last moment when
you get to the end of the blue platform.  Continue forward and jump onto the
rest of Genie's hat.  Jump once more at the end to the clouds.  Get the last
coins to end the bonus round.

VIII.  WALKTHROUGH
=============================================================================
This walkthrough will guide you through the entire game.  I will guide you on
how to complete each level while gathering all the items.  I assume that the
reader knows to collect all coins in sight.  Use as much/little as you need.


Agrabah level 1
---------------
Coins  :  46
Red Gem:  3

Okay, it's the first (and easiest) level so take the time to practice all of
your moves.  Walk down the steps to your left when you're done practicing.
There will be a blue pot to the left.  Smash it with your sword to get a
coin.  Get the other coins afterwards.  Then go back and get the other coins
near the stairs.  Then go right to Genie.  He'll be present in many lamp
locations around the level so pay attention to what he has to say if you
don't already know all of Aladdin's moves.  Follow the coin trail to the next
lamp.  Go up the steps to the right.  At the top is another lamp.  Get the
ruby.  Then jump down and follow the coin trail in front of you until you
reach two wooden platforms.  Jump on them to the checkpoint.

Then get the Genie token.  Go down the steps to the next lamp.  There will be
lots of pots in front of you.  Smash them all for coins.  Then go to the
lamp.  Jump over the fence.  Jump on the haystacks to the ledge above.  Go to
the lamp.  Genie tells you to get your sword ready so do that.  Then go down
the steps and fight the guard.  Block his attack and then counterattack.
You'll get a ruby.  Smash the pots in front of you.  The pots on the left
contain Genie juices that will heal you if you're injured but it won't heal
you now since you shouldn't have gotten hurt yet.  Go up the steps to the
checkpoint.

Smash the pot for another Genie juice.  Go through the door.  Genie will
teach you how to stomp.  Jump down and fight the rats.  You can stomp to kill
them but I find it easier to just slash them with your sword instead.  Get
the coins around you.  Now go through the door.  In the next area, will be a
guard.  Kill him first.  Then smash the pots and get the coins.  Go to the
lamp.  Then get the apples by the lamp.  Then aim and hit the three Jafar
targets with apples.  You'll get a Genie token.  Now go left to the locked
door.  Hit the switch inside.  The wooden platform by the three Jafar targets
will now move up and down.  Ride it up.  Jump on the balcony.  Then go
through the door.  Get all the coins in the next area.  Then jump and grab
the clothesline.  You'll zip to the exit.



Agrabah level 2
---------------
Coins  :  25

Go left.  Get the silver coin in the corner.  Then get ten apples by the
stand.  Throw the silver coin in the well (the white "pot" in the middle of
the area) by walking up to it.  A gate will open.  Go through it and follow
the path until you reach some hot coals.  Jump on the platform on the coals
to safely cross.  Then attack the fire eater on the other side.  Go up the
stairs and get the coins.  Follow the path to the next hot coals.  Smash the
pot to the right to get a ruby.  Then push the platform to the coals until it
stops.  Jump on it and cross the coals.  Get the key.  Then go up the stairs
and attack the fire eater.  Follow the path to the next hot coals.  Push the
platform onto the coals.  Then jump across.  Hit the fire eater.  Quickly
push the platform onto the coals.  Jump across and hit the fire eater.  Then
follow the passage.

You'll be back at the well area.  Toss the silver coin you got into the well.
Another gate will open.  Go through it.  At the end of the passage will be
two Jafar targets.  Hit them with your apples.  The wooden platform will then
form steps to the platform above.  Jump on them to get the silver coin.  Now
head back to the well area and toss the silver coin in.  Another gate opens.
Refill you apple supply and go through the gate.  The path swill split in two
directions.  The left path is locked so you'll go right.  Follow the path to
the checkpoint.  Smash the pots in the area.  Then defeat the guard by first
throwing an apple at him to temporarily stun him.  Then slash him while he's
still stunned.  Go through the door.  Genie will teach you how to swing in
the next area.  Face the rope and rotate the camera so that the platform on
the other side is directly to your north.  This will make the swing easier.
Jump on the rope to start swinging.  Build enough momentum and jump off to
land on the platform.

Block immediately after landing.  The guard will miss.  Attack him
afterwards.  Then smash the pots.  To the left is a fire eater.  Hit him.
Then jump on the rope.  Rotate the camera and line up the next rope so that
it's directly to the north.  Swing and jump to it.  You'll now need to jump
to the platform to your right.  It's impossible to reach unless you're facing
it so first rotate the camera so the platform is to the north.  Now you can
rotate yourself in two ways.  You can push in any direction other than the
one Aladdin is facing to slowly turn.  Or you can swing to the right until
Aladdin is swinging at you.  Now you can swing and jump to the platform.
Block right after you land.  The guard will miss.  Kill him afterwards.
Smash the pots.  Then swing on the rope.  It may be easier to reach by
jumping from the platform on the hot coals.  Swing to the next rope.

You'll need to swing from this rope to the key on the wooden platform.  Do
the necessary lining up and land on the platform.  Jump on the next rope and
swing to the checkpoint.  Kill the guard in the area below.  Smash the pot
for a ruby.  Then go through the door.  There will be a camel walking around.
Go to the right and jump on the haystacks to get the Genie token.  Jump back
on the taller haystack.  Wait for the camel to come back around.  Jump on its
back.  Ride it close enough to the platform with the Genie token.  Jump and
get it.  Then jump and smash the pot on the haystack for a ruby.  Unlock the
gate and go through.  Follow the path and you'll see that you're back at the
fork from earlier before.  Go right to get back to the well area.  Toss a
silver coin in the well.  The last gate will open.  Go through and do not
smash the pot just yet.  Turn right and you'll see a guard.  Stun him with an
apple.  Then slash him.  Smash the pot.  Then go through the door.



Agrabah level 3

Smash the pot.  Then turn around and get the coins in the corner.  Go through
the tunnel to the apple vendor.  Put your sword away.  Sneak up and get ten
apples.  Then get all the coins in the area.  You can't get past the guard
for now so go through the door.  Follow the coin trail to the door to the
north.  Go in and you'll learn that you need 30 coins to play the game.
You're short a few coins so go outside and smash the pots by the man to get
the coins you need.  You should have exactly 30 if you didn't miss any coins
so far.  Go back to the door and pay the man 30 coins.  Start smashing every
pot in the room.  One of them has a ruby in it.  You only have 15 seconds to
do it.  Go back out and go to the man.  Kill the guard in the passage.  Smash
the pot and follow the path to the guard by the door.  Stun him with an
apple.  Then slash him.  Get the coins to the left.  Smash the pots to the
right.  You will see coins on platforms to the north.  Stand on the right
corner and jump to the platform with 3 coins.  Jump to the next platform with
2 coins.  Jump to the platform with 1 coin afterwards.  Jump on the flying
carpet.  Ride it to get near the platform with 3 coins.  Jump to it.  Now
look to the north and you'll see many platform with coins.  Jump to the
northeast platform with 2 coins.  Turn right and jump to the high platform
with 3 coins on it.  Turn left and jump to the platform with the ruby.

Now jump back to the platform with 2 coins from before.  Stand on its upper
left corner and jump to the platform with 1 coin.  Jump from here to the
platform with 5 coins on it.  Now jump back to the platform.  Then jump to
the platform with 1 coin on it.  Jump from here to the platform to the north.
Now enter the door.  Buy the cake from the man for 30 coins.  Smash the pots
in the room.  Now head back to the guard from the beginning by the apple
vendor.  Give him the cake to pass.  Go through the tunnel and kill the guard
on the other side.  Smash the pots and get the coins in the area.  Get the
Genie token on the awning.  Then get the checkpoint.  Go through the door.
You can't control the camera in the next area.  Go right and steal apples.
Then go through the door to the north.  Kill the guard.  Smash the pots in
the room.  Go through the door.  Kill the guard.  The path splits in two
directions.  The left path is blocked so you're forced to go right.  Follow
the path until you get to some pots.  Smash them.  Then kill the guard.
Activate the switch.  A wooden platform will be activated.  Go back to it.
Get on the moving platform and jump to the platform to the left and get the
coins.  Smash the pot for a ruby.  Now get back on the platform.  Ride it to
the top.  Jump to the platform to the right.  Go in the door.

Smash the pots, kill the guard, and go through the door.  Get the coins to
your left and right.  Go to the flute man.  Jump off behind the flute man.
Get the key.  Go across the bridge to the door.  Throw apples at the birds.
Get more apples outside if you run out.  You'll get a flute.  Go back and
drop down.  Go through the door.  The locked door will open.  Go through.
Then take the right passage.  Go through the doors until you're back at the
moving wooden platform.  Get back to the flute man.  His carpet will now
move.  Get on the carpet and ride it to the platform on the other side.
Smash the pot.  Then activate the switch.  Ride the carpet back across.  Go
through the door.  Go through the next door.  The wooden platform to the
right will now be moving.  Ride it up.  Jump across the platforms to the door
to the left.  The platform to the left will need to be activated too.  Go in
the door and get the checkpoint.  Smash the pots in the room.  Go through the
door and smash the pots.  Now jump and swing across the platforms to the
right until you reach the switch.  Activate the switch.  Head back to the
wooden platform that you just activated.  Ride it up and enter the door to
the right.  Kill the guards.  Then activate the pole.  Touch it to end the
level.



Sultan's Palace
---------------

You're inside the palace in a large room.  You'll begin the level standing on
a coin that you'll get automatically.  There are stairs to the north but you
can't open the door yet.  Behind you is a door that leads to a dead end for
now.  To your left and right are two pillows in the corners.  Kill them by
getting near them first.  They'll start to attack you.  Quickly swing your
sword repeatedly until the pillows are dead.  It takes 3 hits to kill them.
Get the coins in the room and smash the pots for additional coins and Genie
juices.  The east door is locked so go to the west side of the room where the
passageway is.  There is a guard there that attacks by spinning himself while
swinging a hammer.  Block his attack until he completely stops and is
standing around dazed.  Then quickly counterattack.  Then block immediately
as the guard will attack again.  Repeat the strategy to kill the guard.

Continue down the passageway.  You'll see a pool at the end.  Turn to the
right and kill the pillow that's in the corner.  Then kill the crocodile in
the pool by continuously attacking it.  You might get hurt a little in the
process but that's okay.  Now get the Genie token.  Then get the coins in the
room.  At the end of the pool is a white switch with a red diamond on it.
Step on the switch in the pool to activate ledges in the room.  Climb up the
ledges to the top.  Get the coins and Genie juice there.  Then activate the
switch.  The east door in the first room that you started the level in will
now be open.  So go back there.

On the other side of the door is a checkpoint.  Follow the coin trail around
the corner.  You'll see a cannon and a pillow at the end of the room.  Kill
the cannon by first dodging its cannonballs and then attack it once.  Kill
the pillow afterwards.  Get the coins and Genie token.  Then activate the
switch in the room.  Ledges will form on a wall in the room.  Climb them.
Kill the pillow in the corner at the top.  Get the coins and kill the guard.
Follow the coins to the end of the hallway.  You'll see ropes in the air and
the ground below.  Jump down below and kill the guard there.  He's just like
the guards in Agrabah so just block his attacks and counterattack.  Get the
coins in the area and then activate the switch in the pool.  A platform will
rise up.  Now climb up the wall that looks like a honeycomb.  Then swing
across the ropes.

You'll land on the platform that you raised up before.  Kill the cannon to
the north.  You'll be at a long pool.  Jump on the ledge and collect the
coin.  Another ledge will form.  Quickly jump to it before the ledge that
you're on disappears.  Continue this for the next few ledges.  You'll get all
the coins in the air.  Then kill the crocodile in the water.  Now to the
north is another pool.  To the right is a locked door.  Kill the pillow in
the left corner first.  Now looking at the pool will reveal 3 switches.
Stepping on a switch will create a waterspout.  You'll need to step on the
switches 3 times each to create large enough waterspouts that can be used to
reach the platform above.  So jump on the right switch 3 times.  Then jump on
the middle switch 3 times.  Finally, jump on the left switch 3 times.  The
waterspouts will now be able to support your weight.  Quickly jump on them
and use them to climb up to the platform above.  The waterspouts last for a
little while so you shouldn't have to rush too much.

Get the coins at the top.  Then activate the switch.  The door in the room
will open.  Go through and you'll see that the floor is iced over.  To the
north are two brooms.  Kill them by attacking with your sword repeatedly
until they die.  Three hits will kill them.  Follow the passageway.  At the
end is a blue pillow.  It acts like a trampoline so jump on it to bounce up
to the platform above.  Get the Genie juice.  Then follow the passageway.
You'll see the floor below you.  Look down first and you'll see a blue pillow
below.  Remember that location for now.  Then drop down and kill the guard
below.  Go back to the pillow now.  Use it to reach a floating platform high
above.  Look around and you should see a ledge that you can reach by jumping
from the platform.  Jump to it and break the pot to find a ruby.  Drop back
down and get the Genie juice in the pool.  Then jump on the pillow to bounce
up to the platform above.

Kill the guard there.  Get the coins and bounce on the pillow at the end.
Rotate the camera so you can see the pillars in the room.  You should see a
pillar with a single coin on it.  Bounce to that pillar.  Another ledge will
appear.  It will form a bridge to the pillar with the Genie token.  Jump
across to get the token.  Turn and you'll see a ruby on top of a pillar.
Wait a few seconds for ledges to appear.  Then jump across them to the ruby.
Now jump back across the ledges to the pillow.  Use it to bounce up to the
platform above.  Get the coins and go through the checkpoint.  Now to the
north is an opening in the wall that leads down.  Don't go down yet.  Instead
go to the left.  Turn and you should see a rope.  Jump on top of the wall.
Then jump and grab the rope.  Swing across to the other side and you'll find
a ruby.  You have to be careful because there is no way to climb up if you
miss the rope.  You'll have to backtrack around later which is annoying.  Now
drop down and kill the guard below.  Get the coins.  Then follow the hallway.
Kill the cannon in the corner.  Follow the hallway until you see a guard.
Kill him.  Then to the north is a pool with a crocodile in it.  Kill it.
Then get the coins around the pool.  Jump on the ledge above the pool to
activate another ledge.  Quickly jump across the subsequent series of ledges
to reach the platform above.

Get the Genie juice and coin at the top.  To the north is a locked door.  So
go right and enter the doorway there.  You'll be in the Sultan's bedchamber.
Get the key.  Then activate the switch.  The locked door will open.  Go
through it and you'll be back at the first room of the level.  If you missed
the ruby from before, just go right and follow the path around until you get
back to the checkpoint where you can try the jump again.  Then follow the
path back to the first room.  If you grabbed the ruby on the first try, then
go up the stairs to the north.  The key will unlock the door and you'll see
another door at the end.  Go through it and you'll be in an icy room with
four brooms.  Kill all four to get Genie tokens for each one.  Then go
through the doorway at the end to the Sultan's throne room.  You'll see
Nasira.  Approach her to end the level.



Dungeon level 1
---------------

You'll be playing the level as Abu.  He has slightly different controls than
Aladdin so get used to them now.  The key moves to know are Abu's attack
(press CIRCLE, NOT Square button like Aladdin) and his double jump (press X
twice) off of walls.  Obviously Abu cannot block attacks since he has no
weapon but he can sometimes dodge attacks by crouching.  Anyway, get used to
his controls now.

Start by going up to the old man.  You'll need to give him 3 candles in order
to receive a sleeping potion to knock out the guard.  Follow the passage and
you'll run into the guard that's guarding Aladdin's cell.  Go left and you'll
find a lamp.  Iago will be giving you tips instead of Genie now.  To the
north are some coins that you can get by double jumping.  You'll then see a
ruby.  Get it by first lining yourself up near the wall but not directly next
to it.  Leave yourself a little space.  Then jump off the edge of the ledge.
Push against the wall and double jump off of it while you're still airborne
to land on the ledge with the ruby.  It may be easier to use the D-pad
instead of the analog stick in this case.

After you've gotten the ruby, drop down.  Now follow the passage.  You'll see
a barrel and a passage going left.  Skip it for now.  There's a guard in
front of you wielding one mean looking mace.  You can either first jump out
of the way of his attack and do a roll attack or sneak up behind up and then
do it.  Either way, the roll attack will knock the guard on his back if
successful.  Now here's the tricky part.  The controls for Abu's roll attack
aren't that great so you'll need to use the analog stick to control where Abu
rolls.  You need to keep roll attacking the guard until he dies.  It should
take about 4 or 5 rolls to do it.  The hard part is making sure Abu connects
with each roll because he tends to roll away.  The guard will get up and
attack you if you take too long so try to kill him quickly.  After you killed
him, you'll see a passageway with a trail of coins in it.  Take that passage.

Follow the passage through the doorway.  Continue following the passageway
until you come into a torture chamber with a guard.  Kill him and get the
coins in the room.  Then follow the passageway on the other side of the room.
You'll come to another room.  There's a single platform in the air.  Jump on
it and another platform appears.  Follow the platforms to reach the high
ledge.  Get the coins and go through the doorway on the left.  You're now in
a large room with bats (you can hear their shrieks).  Crouch to avoid their
attack.  Turn right and you'll see a tall wooden scaffolding and a
checkpoint.  To the north is a Genie token on a high ledge.  Push the
scaffolding to the wall opposite the Genie token for now.  Climb up the side
of the scaffolding with the mesh to the top.  You should see a ruby on a
ledge by the wall.  Double jump to get it.  You can also push the scaffolding
closer to the ruby if you like.  Now push the scaffolding against the wall of
the Genie token.  Climb up and get it.  Now push the scaffolding left to the
other ledge in the room.  Climb up and get the candle.  Now you'll need head
back.  Backtrack until you get back to the passageway where Aladdin's cell
is.

Go to the passageway that I told you to skip earlier.  Follow it and you'll
soon see another split in the passage.  There's a huge stone that will try to
squash anything in its way.  Avoid that route for now and head down the other
way.  Get the Genie juice on the table.  You'll come across another lamp.
Iago tells you how to avoid the bats but you already know how to do this ^_^.
There's a checkpoint in the room.  Get all the coins.  Then double jump onto
the ledge by the torch.  Activate the switch to raise the wooden platform in
the room.  Then jump up to find a Genie token in an alcove in the wall.
Double jump off to the left to find another alcove with a ruby in it.  Get on
the wooden platform now.  Get the coins and activate the switch at the end to
open the door.  The room contains two guards, some coins, and a candle.  Kill
the guards first one at a time.  Then get the coins and candle in the room.
Now head back to the huge stone from before.

Follow the passage and you'll soon see spikes in the floor along with fences
set up to make the jump more difficult.  Stand next to the fences.  Then jump
through the opening to avoid the spikes.  Don't jump too high or you'll hit
the ceiling.  Don't jump too low either or you'll hit the spikes.  Continue
doing this until you get to the doorway at the end.  Go through and activate
the switch on the other side.  The lighting gets a little dimmer.  The room
has 3 rotating platforms and three ledges, one in each direction.  Don't miss
your jump or you'll die.  Wait for a platform to get directly in front of
you.  Then jump on it.  The camera will switch over to an overhead view while
you jump so don't let that disorient you.  Jump over to the right ledge
afterwards.  Be careful not to jump too far into the ledge or you'll get hit
by the rotating blade.  Go around the blade and activate the switch at the
end.  The lighting will get dimmer some more.  Now get back on the rotating
platforms.  While you're waiting for the platform to come around you should
see the ledge to the right of the one you're on now.  That's the one you want
to get to next.  Get on the platform and head on over to it.  Activate the
switch there to dim the lights once more as well as opening a door.

Get back on the rotating platforms and jump over to the last ledge that you
haven't yet visited in the room.  It's the one to the right of the one your
on now.  There are more spikes in the floor.  There's a rotating blade here
as well to make matters worse.  Wait for the blade to spin around and then
jump.  Follow the passage to find a room with a candle in it.  Get it and now
go back to the old man from the way beginning.  Give him the candles and
he'll give you the sleeping potion.  Now go up to the guard by Aladdin's
cell.  He'll drink the potion and then drop a key.  Get the key and unlock
Aladdin's cell with it.  Enter the cell to end the level.



Dungeon level 2
---------------

Go straight.  You'll see a rotating blade.  Dodge it and follow the passage.
There will be spikes in the floor.  Jump over them the way you did in the
last level.  Follow the passage until you find two huge stones that drop down
squashing everything in their way.  There is a safe spot between the two
stones that you can stand under.  However, you should be able to quickly run
past both stones without having to wait.  Wait for the closer stone to drop
and run under it as it rises.  The second stone should be rising too at this
point so run under it too.  Follow the passage and you'll encounter a guard.  </pre><pre id="faqspan-2">
Kill him by blocking his attacks and counterattacking.  He'll die after 3
hits.  Now go to the torches in the room and you'll see 3 wooden platforms
sticking out of the wall.  Jump on them and climb to the ledge above.  Get
the Genie juice and coins that you find.  Then enter the doorway on the left.

You'll be in a large room.  There's a guard on the far side but leave him
alone for now.  Look at the torches on the walls.  You should see something
blue just below the flame.  The blue "things" are bats.  So approach the
torches and kill the bats by attacking with your sword repeatedly.  Then kill
the guard.  Climb up the chains on the wall.  There's a checkpoint at the
top.  Now you'll be at a room with 8 rotating platforms.  To the left are two
platforms with a Genie token and a key respectively.  You'll need to be
careful with your jumps here.  Using your shadow to judge where to land while
jumping will be very helpful as will rotating the camera for the best view.
Jump on a moving platform.  Now don't risk lives by jumping across the other
platforms.  Simply wait on the platform and let it rotate you closer to the
Genie token and key's platforms.  Jump over to them when you're close enough.
Then jump back on the moving platforms.  Jump over to the passageway
afterwards.

You'll see what seems like a double edged rotating blade.  However it is just
an optical illusion.  It is actually two separate rotating blades.  Wait for
the farther blade to be spinning away from you.  Then quickly run through on
the left side before the closer blade hits you.  You'll unlock the door.
Kill the guard in the next room.  Then you'll see a skeleton chained on the
wall.  Approach it and it will attack you.  Block and then do a crouching
attack.  Then block and repeat the process until it's dead.  You can also
attack it standing up but it usually blocks your attacks.  There's a
checkpoint on the left side of the room.  Jump past the spikes and you'll see
a long room with some rotating platforms.  Jump on them and then wait for the
platform to spin around to the next set of rotating platforms.  Continue to
wait.  Jump only when the platforms are close together.  Rotate the camera
for a better view.  You'll see more spikes in the floor on the other side.
Go through the doorway.

Jump past the next set of spikes.  You'll see a large room.  There's a
floating platform in front of you but stand near the edge and look down.
You'll see an alligator in the pit below.  Jump down and kill it by
repeatedly attacking with your sword.  Then get the coins and smash the pot
for a ruby.  Use the protruding wooden platforms to get out of the pit.  Now
jump on the floating platform to create another platform.  Jump across the
platforms to the other side.  Jump past the spikes and you'll soon come
across a series of crushing stones.  You'll have to stand in the safe spot
between each stone to pass this time.  Use the first person view to look for
the safe spot.  Also note the cracked portions of the floor.  That is where
the stone will land so walk just past that to be on the safe spot.  Do this
several more times to safely pass the stones.  There is a Genie juice and
checkpoint waiting on the other side.

You'll see some floating platforms.  There are swinging spiked poles above
each one.  You'll need to carefully time your jumps here so you jump and land
on the platform just as the pole finishes swinging away from the platform and
begins swinging towards it again.  Wait for the poles to swing away.  Then
jump just as they begin to swing back.  You should land on the next platform
safely just as the next pole swings away.  Crouch and repeat the process for
each platform to get across the pit.  You can also just jump through all
three spikes without stopping.  There's a room on the other side with two
skeletons in it.  Go to the right and follow the coin trail left.  Kill both
skeletons individually.  Then get everything in the room.  Through the
doorway will be more platforms.  This time there are swinging axes.  You
won't be able to avoid them no matter what you do.  You'll have to jump
across the platforms without stopping because they will start to drop after
you land on each one.  Wait for the first axe to swing towards the platform.
Jump once it is directly above the platform.  Then quickly jump across the
next two platforms without stopping or you'll fall and die.

Jump over the spikes in the floor and you'll find another room with a guard.
There's also a bat on the torch to the right.  Kill the guard or bat first.
After killing both, approach the skeletons on the wall.  Kill each one
separately.  Break the pot for a ruby.  There will be more spikes as well as
rotating blades to avoid in the next passage.  Go through the doorway.
You'll be at a room with a skeleton to the right and a moving wooden
platform.  Kill the skeleton and get on the platform to reach the ledge
above.  Get the coins that you find there and go through the doorway.  Turn
around and get the coin behind you on the other side.  Then get the last coin
in front of you and approach the magic carpet to end the level.



Return to the Palace
--------------------

This is the first carpet level.  This level moves fast so you need to react
quickly.  Have your fingers always on the L1 and R1 buttons to quickly move
sideways.  Always shoot with SQUARE to break doors open.  You only get 2 hits
before you die.  So you really have 1 hit that you can afford since the
second hit kills you.

There are a lot of coins in the level but you don't have to get them.  The
goal is to survive to the end of the level.  Follow the coin trail.  The coin
trail starts low.  Then you'll pass some pillars.  The checkpoint is just
beyond.  The coins turn right slightly.  Then they stay in the middle.  Soon
you will fly over some stones.  The coin trail dips down and you'll see a
checkpoint.  The coin trail makes a sharp right around a stone.  Then it goes
back to the middle.  Smash the door open and the coin trail goes left.  Smash
the next door and the coins go down.  Then they quickly ascend up past an
arch.  Smash the next door and the coins dip under an arch.  Quickly fly up
to avoid the oncoming wall.  Then fly down as the coins dip under another
arch.  There's a checkpoint under the arch.  The coins stay in the middle
through the next door.  Then they go right a little by the waterspouts.

Fly up over the wall.  Then dip down to the checkpoint.  The coins resume
right after the checkpoint in the middle.  They soon turn right and then
quickly make a sharp left around some pillars below an archway.  Then they
turn right and go up through another checkpoint.  Then they go up to the next
door.  Then there are no more coins.  Dodge the waterspouts and fly under the
arch to the checkpoint.  Then fly up high to avoid the wall.  Now fly to the
exit.



Battle with Razoul
------------------

It's time to fight the captain of the palace guards, Razoul.  He has two
attacks.  The first is to charge at you screaming and swinging his sword.
The second is to jump and cause a shockwave to spread outward on the floor as
well as to cause objects to fall down upon you.  You'll know he is going for
the shockwave because he'll laugh just before he jumps.

To beat him, you need to block all his sword attacks.  Attack him when he
spreads his arms and just stands there.  Dodge his shockwave attack by
jumping when he does his laugh.  You can also run away since the shockwave
has a limited range.  He'll then stand there with his arms apart.  Quickly
charge at him and attack.  Repeat the process until he's dead.  It will take
6 hits to defeat Razoul.  A snake artifact will appear when he's defeated.
Grab it to end the level.



Oasis level 1

There's a cobra to your right.  Be careful to dodge its attack.  Jump and
stomp on it to defeat it.  Do not get hit or you'll be poisoned.  The
antidote can be found in a jar at the top of the hill to the right.  There's
a bee in your way though.  Kill the bee by attacking it.  Then kill the
spider at the top of the hill by crouching and attacking it.  Smash the pots
for the antidote and some coins.  Go back to the water and search the area
for coins.  By the palm tree near the water should be a path.  Go through and
kill the sword bandit on the other side by blocking all of his attacks and
counterattacking afterwards.  Three hits will kill him.  Get the Genie token
in the area.  Now go back to the hill with the antidote on it.  Follow the
path around smashing pots that you come across as well as collecting coins
that you see.  You'll run into a sword bandit soon enough.  Kill him and then
you'll see a tar pit.  Jump on the big rock in the tar to get across.  You'll
reach a checkpoint.

You'll run into some more bees.  Kill them all.  You'll then see a tar pit.
Press L2 to rotate the camera and you'll see a pot hidden in the corner.
Smash it for a full Genie juice.  Now carefully jump across the rocks to get
past the tar pit.  On the other side is a sword bandit.  Kill him.  Follow
the path and you'll encounter a spider.  Kill it.  Continue along the path.
You'll come across another tar pit.  Jump across the rocks carefully.  Watch
out for bubbling tar that might hit you.  On the other side of the pit is a
spider.  Kill it.  Follow the path and smash the pot to your right when the
path widens up for some coins.  Then kill the sword bandit in the distance.
You'll be at another checkpoint.  There's a cave to the right but don't go in
just yet.  Get the coins to the left.  You should see a path to the left as
well.  Go there and you'll see a tent.  Get the coin in the water before you
enter the tent.

There is a green button on the floor.  In the back is a man and his 5 snake
baskets.  Step on the switch.  The man will cause his snakes to appear in a
certain order.  Watch carefully and remember the order that the snakes
appeared.  Assuming that the snake baskets are labeled A-E as shown below in
figure 1.

The order to hit the snakes with your sword is A, E, C, B, D.  Hit the snakes
with a crouching attack because a standing attack can hit 2 snakes at once
and that will ruin the order.  Don't worry if you mess up though.  You can
step on the green button to try once more.  You'll get a Genie token for
getting the correct order.  Now smash the pots in the tent for a full Genie
juice.  Then go back outside and to the cave entrance.

You'll be standing over a huge area.  Look down below and you should see a
coin on a palm tree to your left.  Jump down and get it.  Then drop down and
kill the spider in the corner.  Get the coin and then climb up the slope.
Follow the path around the corner to find an old man who wants something cold
in exchange for helping you to cross the spike pit.  He'll open a cave
entrance in the huge area for you.  Go back and you should see the entrance
to your left.  Kill the spider by the entrance.  Then smash the pots.  Now
enter the cave.  Inside is a man who sells ice cream.  Buy one from him.
Then smash the pots next to his stand for coins.  The entrance you came in
became sealed the moment you bought the ice cream so you'll have to take the
exit behind the ice cream man.  You'll see a Playstation loading screen for
the Oasis only without the text.  Don't worry, this is normal.  You'll be
outside the cave after it finishes loading.

You'll notice that while this should be an exact replica of the huge area
from before, there are some slight differences.  Namely, there's a checkpoint
awaiting you.  The pots that you smashed are also back.  There is now a Genie
token in the corner where you killed the spider earlier.  Get everything in
the area.  Get the coin above the palm tree by standing next to the wall
where the slope is the highest and jumping towards the tree.  Then climb up
the slope to give the ice cream to the old man.  He'll build you a bridge to
cross the spike pit.  Don't fall in or you'll die.  On the other side is the
checkpoint.  Go through the opening.  In the next area will be a waterfall.
Notice the Genie token behind the waterfall?  Jump down and get it.  Then
climb back up the ladder.  Now look straight ahead and you'll see a vine.
Jump and swing on it.  Land on top of the palm tree.  It will act like a
trampoline and bounce you higher.  Grab the next vine that you see.  Continue
swinging across until you reach the ledge with the opening to the next area.

Kill the sword bandit to your right.  Smash the pot for a Genie juice.  Enter
the cave.  The cavern will have 9 symbols in the floor.  There are three
stone blocks to the right.  Each stone has a different symbol:  camel, snake,
and fish.  There's a ruby on a ledge high above you.  The goal here is to
push each stone to the proper spot.  The proper spot for each stone is to
match the animal on the stone to the environment that it belongs to.  The
order of the symbols on the floor is shown in figure 2.

So push the camel stone to the desert symbol, push the snake stone to the
grass symbol, and push the fish stone to the water symbol.  Stones will
emerge that you can use to reach the ruby.  Technically you just need to push
the snake and fish stones to their proper places because you can use the
camel stone as a stepping stone to jump to the middle stone that emerged from
the ground.  Leave once you're done getting everything in the cavern.

Go down to the tar pit and get the coin on the rock.  Then go back up the
slope.  Jump on top of the palm tree nearest to you.  Bounce to the next palm
tree.  Then bounce to the small stone ledge.  Jump over to the next palm
tree.  Continue bouncing from tree to tree until you get to the final tree.
Then look to the left and you'll see coins between the two rocks in the tar
pit.  Get the coins.  Then stand on the lower rock.  Jump from there to the
palm tree that it is nearest to.  Bounce to the ledge and kill the sword
bandit there.  Smash the pots to find coins and a ruby.  Go through the
opening.  Kill the spider and get the coins to your left and to your right.
Follow the path across the bridge and you'll see a tent.  Don't go in yet.
Get the coin in the water.  Then go behind the tent and smash the pots there
for some coins, Genie juice, and a ruby.  You should have 60 coins if you
grabbed every one up to this point.  Enter the tent to end the level.  You'll
get the last 5 coins for finishing the level.



Oasis level 2

There's a bridge in front of you.  Get the coin behind you first.  Then cross
the bridge.  Smash the pots on the other side.  Then kill the sword bandit
that's ahead in the path.  Smash the pots to near the edge of the ledge.  Now
you should see two geysers that blast the platforms in the air.  You'll need
to jump on the first platform.  Now the tricky part is to jump to the next
platform when it's in the low position.  Watch the platform with the first
person view to see the high and low positions.  Then just wait until you see
an opening with which to jump across.  You have to do the jump somewhat
quickly because the second platform doesn't stay in its low position that
long.  If you miss, just jump back on the first platform and try again.

When you finally cross, you'll collect ten coconuts.  Save them for now.  Now
there are three geysers to cross.  It's the same strategy here as before.
Simply jump from platform to platform only when the platform you're on is at
its high position and the platform you want to reach is at its low position.
The first two platforms are easy to cross.  The third platform will be the
tough one to time properly.  It drops down at nearly the same moment that the
second platform drops so you'll just need to jump a split second before the
second platform drops and you'll land on the third platform just as its going
down.  You'll encounter a club bandit when you pass the geysers.  A full
frontal assault won't work here.  You need to first stun him by throwing a
coconut at him.  Then slash him when he's dazed.  Now there's another set of
geysers to pass.  Just repeat the same process as you did the previous
geysers.  These geysers are a lot easier to time your jumps for.  You'll find
a checkpoint on the other side.  Smash the pots and enter the opening.

You'll be in a large waterfall area.  Go right and climb up the slope to find
an old man who tells you to do some "serious monkeying around."  It's the
clue on how to open the cave.  So smash the pot.  Then walk down the slope.
You'll find a cave entrance at the bottom.  Get the Genie token under the
waterfall before you enter the cave.  Once you're inside the cave you'll see
a large pit filled with spider webs.  Jump on the nearest spider web and it
will act like a trampoline.  Use it to bounce and collect the coins.  Then
drop down and kill the spider at the bottom.  Jump on the lowest web.  Then
bounce to the next web up.  Bounce from there to the high web.  Then bounce
to the ledge and you'll see another pit with webs.  Drop down and kill the
spider.  Then use the webs to bounce yourself to the last web before the
ledge.  To the left is a pot on another ledge.  Smash it for a ruby.  Then go
through the opening on the other ledge.  Kill the spider.  Then smash the
pots.  Follow the path and you'll find a checkpoint and another spider.

Continue forward to find a large monkey totem pole.  Drop down and smash the
pot at the bottom for a ruby.  Then refill your coconut supply by grabbing
the coconuts next to the totem pole.  Then bounce back up to the ledge above.
Now you'll need to throw coconuts into the mouths of the monkey faces on the
totem pole.  You need to throw them in the correct order or the monkey face
will shoot a coconut at you.  Jump to avoid it.  The order to throw is the
top face first.  Then throw into the bottom face.  Throw into the middle face
last.  The boulder in the cave's way will then move out of the way.  Head
back to the old man now.  Enter the cave behind him.  You'll find a
checkpoint.  You'll see a river.  The current will be strong and you can only
barely fight against it by jumping repeatedly.  To the right is a cave
opening.  It leads to the waterfall in the previous area.  Don't let yourself
get pulled to the opening by the river current or you'll just have to climb
back up the falls area again.

You'll see two kinds of turtles in the river.  One is green and does not
move.  Think of it as a rock that you can stand on.  The second is purple and
moves around.  You'll need to jump on those kinds of turtles to navigate up
the river.  So jump on the green turtle.  Wait for the purple turtle to come
around and jump on it.  If you miss, just quickly jump around and you should
be able to land back on the green turtle.  You can also try to fight the
current by jumping against it but it doesn't always work.  Ride the purple
turtle forward.  Then jump off on the land to the left with the pots.  Smash
them for coins and a Genie juice.  Then jump to the green turtle.  Wait for
the next purple turtle to come closer and jump to it.  Ride it until it
starts to turn around and head back.  Jump off to the land to the right
before the turtle completely turns around.  Get near the edge of the sand and
jump to the green turtle.  You'll see a Genie token in front of you.  Just
jump in the water and jump constantly against the current.  Be sure to push
up on the analog stick so that you slowly win against the current.  You
should be able to get the Genie token this way.  Then get back on the green
turtle.

Wait for the purple turtle to approach and jump on it.  Ride it until it gets
near some land on the left.  Jump off and kill the sword bandit there.  Smash
the pot for a ruby.  Then jump on the green turtle.  Wait for the purple
turtle to come to you.  Jump on it when it gets near.  Ride it until it
starts to turn back.  Jump off and you'll notice that the current won't pull
you at this part of the river.  Get the last coin under the waterfall.  Enter
the waterfall to end the level.



Battle with Arachnid
--------------------

This huge spider wants to make you its next meal.  It has two attacks.  The
first is to shoot a web at you if you simply stand around.  The second attack
is a charge that it uses when you jump on its nest's webs.  Jumping on the
leaves will not prompt the Arachnid to use this attack.  You'll see that the
Arachnid's back is flashing red.  You'll need to attack that part with your
sword.

The strategy to win is to simply run along the edge of the mountaintop until
you get behind the Arachnid.  Then jump and land on one of the leaves behind
the Arachnid.  Don't land on the webbing or the Arachnid will turn around and
charge at you.  Now slash its back.  Then jump back on the mountaintop and
repeat the process.  It takes 4 hits to win.  Also be careful not to fall off
the mountain or you'll die.

Another (not too effective) strategy is to just engage the Arachnid one on
one.  It will charge at you repeatedly.  You'll get hurt but you can quickly
capitalize on your temporary invulnerability to sneak behind the Arachnid and
attack its back.  As I said, this isn't too effective (or smart) so use the
original strategy instead.  You'll get both scarab halves for winning.  Grab
them to end the level.



Cave of Wonders level 1
-----------------------

This level involves chasing the golden scarab.  Follow the scarab's path as
it flies around the level.  Do not stray too far from its path nor get too
far behind the scarab or else the desert creatures will kill you.  There are
crickets to get in your way.  There are also spiders in sandtraps along the
path that can slow you down so jump over them.  There are three rubies in the
level.  You should be able to see them at the edge of the screen as the
scarab flies around.  They are usually positioned just near a desert creature
or sandtrap so move just enough to grab them and then quickly get back on the
scarab's path before you die.  It helps to jump continuously as you're
running around so you can see the scarab better.

The scarab flies around in a set path so there isn't too much I need to
instruct you with but I'll briefly describe the path it takes.  It starts
going north.  Then it turns left and goes up the hill.  It flies leftward
over the hill.  Then it passes over a sandtrap.  Now it flies to the right up
another slope.  Then it turns left over another sandtrap.  You'll then come
across some tornadoes over a sandtrap.  Then it flies up to the right and
you'll see a rock with a ruby on it.  Next it flies to the left a little and
then to the right to a sandtrap.  Then it flies left to a tornado.  Now it
goes rightward over the hill.  At the bottom is the second ruby next to a
sandtrap.  The scarab flies to the right.  It will then turn left and go
straight through a sea of desert creatures all eager to eat you up.  Then it
goes over another hill.  On the other side is the third ruby next to a
sandtrap on the left and a desert creature on the right.  The scarab makes a
sharp left now and goes straight after that.  After a few hills, it turns
right and over the hill is the entrance to the Cave of Wonders which ends the
level.



Cave of Wonders level 2
-----------------------

There is only 1 enemy in this level so the main thing that can kill you is
yourself because there are a lot of tricky jumps to make.  Abu is in front of
you.  He'll lead you through the first area so follow him.  Collect the coins
that you see on the way.  There are three coins in the first area.  Follow
Abu through the opening at the end of the passageways.  There are two paths
to choose.  You'll see Abu standing at the checkpoint on the left path but
ignore him for now and take the right path instead.  The cone shaped stone in
the air will drop after you jump on it so leap off quickly.  Dodge the
rotating blade.  Then at the end of the platform is a pendulum.  Wait for the
platform to swing over and jump on it just as it is swinging at you.  Rotate
the camera to a 45 degree angle so you get a better view of the distance that
you need to jump.

Once you're on the pendulum you'll want to face the platform with the coin on
it.  Wait for the pendulum to swing to the left.  Then wait a second as it
starts swinging back to the right.  Quickly jump to the platform as it
swings.  Now turn the camera so you get a side view of Aladdin and the
pendulum.  You'll notice that it stops swinging almost directly next to the
platform you're on.  So you'll need to jump just a little bit this time.
Wait for the pendulum to swing and jump on it just as it comes to a complete
stop before it begins swinging back the other way.  Ride it the other way and
you'll also notice that it stops next to the ruby's platform.  So let it
swing all the way and then take a small hop to the ruby's platform.  Now wait
for the pendulum to swing back before jumping on it.  Get back on the coin's
platform the same way you got on the pendulum, with a small hop.  Now comes a
tricky jump.  You'll want to wait for the pendulum to finish swinging to the
right.  Then jump over to it before it swings to the left.  Then jump off to
the platform.  Dodge the rotating blade again.  Then don't bother jumping on
the cone shaped stone.  Just jump directly onto the far platform.  Now go
take the left path by jumping on the cone shaped stone to reach the
checkpoint.  Resume following Abu.

The path is filled with rotating blades.  Take your time to avoid them.
There's no rush as Abu will wait for you.  Jump onto the lower platform after
you've passed the two blades near each other.  Follow the platform around and
you'll see four spinning blades and a checkpoint.  It's more work to avoid
the blades than its worth so charge through them.  Go up the slope and you'll
see Abu run into a small hole.  Unfortunately you can't fit in.  So turn
around and look to the left.  You'll see a higher platform that you can jump
to.

Follow it until you get to a pile of rocks that you can pick up.  Stock up 10
before you move.  In front is a large golden statue.  Look at its left hand.
It's a bit too high to jump to now.  Turn right and you'll see a Jafar target
to the left of the statue.  Hit it with a rock.  The statue's left hand will
lower down.  Jump on it.  Don't worry if you overshoot the jump.  You'll just
fall down on the four rotating blades from earlier.  Just run around and try
again.  Stand on the left hand and wait for it to rise back up.  Now jump to
the right hand.  Then hit the next Jafar target.  The right hand rises up.
Jump from here to the cone shaped stone.  Then jump to the platform.  Follow
it as it slopes down.  Then jump off from the end of the platform to the
checkpoint below.  There's a bat by the checkpoint that you can kill if you
want to.  Go through the doorway.

You'll see a switch.  Don't activate it yet.  Go left and kill the skeleton
first.  There's ice blocking the left passage.  Look up and you'll see coins
and a Genie token.  Activate the switch now.  A platform appears.  Get on the
pile of gold first.  Then jump from there to the platform.  Follow the
platforms up to find another switch.  Activate the switch.  More platforms
appear.  Jump on them.  The ice shatters as you jump on the farther platform.
Jump from here to get the Genie token.  Then go through the passage that you
just opened up.  You'll reach a checkpoint at the end.  There's a switch near
the pit.  Activate it and some platforms appear.  Jump across them quickly
before they disappear.  Don't get careless with your jumps here.

Get the key on the ledge on the other side.  Activate the switch that you
find there.  More platforms appear.  Go the right edge of the ledge and jump
from there to the platform to minimize the distance you need to jump.  Aim
for the corners of the ledge on the other side to make the jump from the
platform a little easier.  Your key will shatter the ice and you'll find a
ruby on the other side.  You'll come to a dead end.  Look up and you'll see a
series of cone shaped stones leading to a switch atop a very high ledge.
Stand on the pile of gold to the left.  Then jump to the stones and make your
way up to the switch.  If you mess up the stones will come back.  It helps to
rotate the camera as you jump.  Activate the switch and more platforms appear
over the pit.  Quickly run back to it and jump across the platforms before
they disappear.  You'll find a checkpoint on the other side.  Follow the
passage and you'll see two cone shaped stones to jump across.  Jump across
them and you'll see a pendulum to the left.

Rotate the camera as necessary.  Then wait for the pendulum to swing at you.
Then jump over to it as the swing stops.  You'll make the jump with no room
to spare.  Then jump across the cone shaped stones to the platform.  Follow
it and jump to the lower platform.  Then look ahead and you'll see a ring in
the air.  Jump and grab it.  Swing and jump to the checkpoint below.  Go
through the doorway.  You're almost done now.  The only thing remaining is an
icy slide.  Jump on the slide to begin your descent.  You'll slide somewhat
fast so it may be advisable to use the D-pad to control yourself as you
slide.  Don't get too near the edge of the slide or you'll slip off.  There
are 27 coins on the slide so you might want to kill yourself intentionally if
you pass some for those people aiming to get all the coins in the level.

The coins are in the following order on the slide.  I'll use "L" to indicate
the left part of the slide, "M" to indicate the middle of the slide, and "R"
to indicate the right part of the slide.  One of the coins requires you to
jump.  I'll indicate that coin by saying "jump M."  There's also a checkpoint
midway through the slide.  I'll indicate that with "checkpoint."  A ruby is
at the end of the slide right before the exit.

Cave of Wonders level 3

You'll play as Abu for this level.  Get used to his controls and how far he
jumps in the first room.  Then proceed through the opening behind Genie.
There are no enemies in this level but there are a lot of tough jumps to
make.  Follow the path and avoid the rotating blade.  At the end of the
platform is a moving platform.  Jump to it when it gets near.  Ride it to the
other side.  Jump on the cone shaped stone afterwards.  Enter the opening.
Follow the path to a checkpoint.  The camera zooms out and you can see a map
on a ledge in the middle of the a ring of moving platforms.  Follow the
platform around in a circle until you've collected all the coins.  Then stand
near a corner of the "ring" you just ran around where the path bends.  Jump
to one of the moving platforms.  Then jump to the middle ledge and get the
map.  Jump back on the platform and jump off to one of the corners of the
ring.  Then go to the other checkpoint and through the opening afterwards.

There are two paths to take.  Go left and get the ruby.  Then go back and
take the right path.  Follow it around, jumping across the stones until you
reach a switch.  Activate it.  Some platforms appear.  Hop across and
activate the other switch that you find.  Cross the checkpoint and activate
the switch at the end.  You should see a platform off to the side that goes
up and down.  You'll need to jump on it.  At the bottom are some more
platforms.  Jump across them to reach the ledge with another piece of the
map.  Activate the switch.  Then jump back up across the platforms.  Continue
following the platform once you're back up.  Jump across all the cone shaped
stones quickly but carefully.  You'll find a checkpoint.

Further ahead is a pendulum.  As usual, just time your jump as it swings
towards you.  Follow the path around to the opening.  Follow the path to find
another checkpoint.  Then just follow the path around and up until you reach
a switch.  Activate it.  Some platforms appear.  Hop across them.  Activate
the switch at the top of the platform on the other side.  There's a
checkpoint ahead.  Go through the opening.  You'll be in a room with tall
stone columns.  As always, moving the camera will be most helpful.  Double
jump onto the ledge to the left.  Then jump to the column.  Jump from there
to the ledge by the wall.  You'll see two coins off to the side.  Jump off
and get them.  You'll drop back down to the bottom.  Just jump back up again.
Now jump for the column this time.  Then jump across the cone shaped stones.
Jump up to the ledge by the opening.  Then turn around and you'll see a ruby
on top of the tallest column.  Get it.  Then go through the opening.

You'll be in a room with some white substance on the floor.  Don't touch it
or you'll get hurt.  Jump across to the moving platform to get another piece
of the map.  Then ride the platform until it starts moving back the other
way.  The other platform should be moving towards you now too.  Jump to it
now.  Then jump to the doorway.  You'll see a piece of the map and a ruby
before the camera zooms back down to you.  Jump across the platforms and pick
up the rocks.  Jump on the platform with the white hexagon-shaped ring on it.
Throw a rock at the Jafar target.  The platform will rise up.  Jump to the
next platform.  Hit the Jafar target there.  The platform will rise.  Jump to
the third platform.  Hit the Jafar target there.  The platform rises.  Jump
to the cone shaped stone and then to the platform.  Hit the Jafar target to
make the platform rise.  Get the ruby and the fourth piece of the map.  All
four pieces of the map will now appear on the blue board which unlocks the
door.  Go through it.  Get the mallet in the middle of the room.  Go through
the doorway to end the level.



Cave of Wonders level 4
-----------------------

This is another carpet level like the Return to the Palace level only it's
much harder.  Constantly shoot by pressing the SQUARE button.  The safest
spot is to stay in the middle of the screen.  There are several boulders and
doors to be smashed.  Use the slowdown (L1 + R1) sparingly as there are
several places where the action zooms right by a critical checkpoint.

The coin trail starts in the middle.  Blast the door.  Then it quickly goes
right and then left around the corner.  Then it goes somewhat to the left
until the checkpoint.  It goes back to the middle.  It stays in the middle
until you go through the vertical shaft.  Then it goes left past a lava flow.
Then it sharply turns right and up through the checkpoint.  Then it drops
down a little.  Then it goes back to the middle again.  It stays in the
middle during the lava pit area.  Then it dips down.  Then it goes back to
the middle for a while.  Then it turns left around a column.  Then it goes
under an arch.  Then it goes over an arch.  Then it goes down the middle and
you'll fly off to the exit.



Pyramid level 1
---------------

This is not really an actual level where you fight per se.  It's just a small
area that connects the other Pyramid levels together.  There's nothing to
collect nor anything to kill.  Here's a map of the area.  There's an old man
to the east.  He tells you that you need both Chronicles of the Dead to enter
the Great Pyramid.  You can get one Chronicle from Pyramid level 2 and
Pyramid level 3 respectively.  I suggest you enter the levels in order
starting with Pyramid level 2.  You'll reappear on this level whenever you
finish Pyramid level 2 or 3.  You can re-enter each level as many times as
you want although it's not very useful to do so.  There is one exception to
this.  If you want to get both Chronicles very easily, you can enter and
solve Pyramid level 2 twice.  For reasons unknown, the game will count the
second trip through the level as though it were your first, meaning that
grabbing the Chronicle for the second time will count again.  Now you don't
even have to enter Pyramid level 3.  This trick also applies to Pyramid level
3.  Please use this trick only as a last resort or for fun.

There's a mummy in the room and a cobra guarding some daggers.  Avoid the
mummy for now.  Wait for the cobra's mouth to close (indicating it's asleep).
Then steal the daggers in the same way you steal apples.  Now kill the mummy
by throwing 4 daggers at it.  The mummy will drop a Genie juice.  You could
also have killed the mummy with your sword but you would have gotten hit by
its counterattack.  There is only one way to go now.  Dodge the swinging axe
and go through the door to the next room.  In the next room will be a closed
door.  To the left is a statue with an opening beneath it.  You'll see two
flaming daggers painted on the wall.  This should clue you in on what to do.
Throw a dagger into the opening.  A flame should light up in the opening.  If
not, try again.  The door will then open once the flame is lit.

You'll now be in a large room.  There's a lamp to your right.  Iago gives you
the next clue which is to "jump like crazy".  Examine the room.  You'll need
to climb up to reach the doorway.  Unfortunately, it's too high up.  You'll
have to solve the puzzle to proceed.  There are 2 blocks in the room.  One
has two footprints on it while the other can be pushed along a track in the
floor.  Push the block along the track until it is on top of the black square
in the floor.  Now go back to the "foot block".  Look around and you should
see a ladder on the side of a column.  Climb up the ladder.  Now leap off
onto the foot block.  You'll cause the other block that you pushed to go
flying in the air and land on a column.  Now climb back up the ladder.  Then
jump on the block on the column.  You can now jump up the columns.  Jump over
to the checkpoint first.  Then go through the doorway.  Dodge the swinging
axe in front of you.  You'll see an Egyptian bull swinging a pretty mean
looking mace.  He'll swing his mace if you are in his range.  He'll try to
headbutt you if you get even closer.  Grab the daggers in the room.  Now
throw 4 of them at the bull to stun him.  Then run up and slash him with your
sword.  You'll get a ruby for killing him.  Get some more daggers.  Then go
through the door.

Go up to the lamp and the clue Iago gives you refers to the walls.  Walk
around the room in a circle until you come back to the lamp.  You'll notice
that there are 13 doors altogether.  Each door is marked by 3 Egyptian
symbols (ankh, bird, eye, feather, snake) around the door.  Going through
each door will all lead you to the same room that has a black board on the
left and a dagger opening on the right.  I'm pretty sure that the game will
not let you proceed further unless you go through this room at least once,
even if you pick the right door the first time.  One time I went through the
correct door and it still brought me to the board room.  Only after going
through the board room and lighting up the board did the game let me proceed.
Anyway, throw a dagger into the opening.  The black board will illuminate and
you'll see 15 Egyptian symbols.  Only 3 will light up though.  The symbols
selected will change each time you play.  Remember the 3 symbols carefully.
Now go through the door.  Look at the 13 doors again.  Find the door whose
symbols match the ones that lit up on the board.  Go through it and you'll
arrive in a room with a checkpoint, a cobra guarding daggers, a dagger
opening high up on the wall, 2 closed doors, and a high ledge that is out of
your reach.

Throw a dagger into the opening and one of the doors will open.  Go through
it and you'll find 2 Genie juices and the first of the two Chronicles of the
Dead (looks like a stone tablet) that you need.  There will also be another
passageway.  Go through it and you'll see a pit with 3 platforms hovering
above it.  Don't fall down or you'll die.  Jump across the platforms before
they fall down and grab the key.  Go through the door.  You'll be at the high
ledge from the room with the checkpoint.  Use the key to open the other
closed door.  Go through the door.  There will be a Genie token in front of
you but the door will close if you try to get near it.  Refill your dagger
supply at the chalice to the right.  Now look at the left wall.  There should
be a section that has no hieroglyphics on it.  Walk up and push against it.
The wall will slide forward, revealing a hidden passageway.  Avoid the flames
from the cobra heads on the wall.  On the other side of the passageway will
be the Genie token and an Egyptian bull guard.  Kill him and grab the token.
Then go through the door.

There will be an eagle man in the room.  Block his attacks.  Counterattack
after he strikes.  Four hits will kill him.  Go through the door.  You'll be
in a large room with a statue in the center and closed doors on all three
sides.  Fill up your daggers from the chalice to your left.  Then go to the
door on the right.  Throw a dagger at the opening to the left of the door.
Smash the pot in the room behind the door to find a Genie token.  Head back
out and go to the door to the right of the door that you're at now.  Throw a
dagger into the opening to the right of the door.  Go in and you'll see a
mummy.  Don't get too near or he'll start to move.  Just kill the mummy with
daggers from a distance so you won't get hurt.  You'll get a ruby.  Head back
out and refill your dagger supply.  Now go to the last door and throw a
dagger into the opening on the right side of the door.  Now immediately
block.  A skeletal horseman will charge out at you.  Block his attack until
he raises his sword.  You can then slash/crouch slash him or throw a dagger
at him.  Do it fast or he'll block your attack.  Five hits will kill him.
You'll get a ruby for defeating him.  Now go through the door that he was
guarding to the exit.



Pyramid level 3
---------------

There's a cobra guarding some daggers, a closed door, and a dagger opening in
the room.  Steal some daggers.  Throw a dagger into the opening marked by the
2 flaming daggers to either side of the opening.  The door will open.  Avoid
the flame from the cobra head and go through the door.  There's a mummy
directly in front of you.  Quickly throw four daggers to kill it.  The door
will open.  Refill your dagger supply with the chalice to the right.  Then
smash the pot for a Genie juice.  Go through the door.  There will be two
rotating blades to your right and a dagger opening to the left.  Throw a
dagger into the opening.  The door will open.  Avoid the blades and go
through the door.  There's a movable block in front of you.  Look at the door
to the right.  The top portion of the door is gone so push the movable block
to the door.  Use the block to jump over the door to the other side.  There's
an eagle man in the room.  Get your sword ready and kill him.  The door will
open afterwards.  Go through.  You'll find the checkpoint.

There's some platforms in front that you can jump across.  Don't do that yet.
Jump into the pit below and go to the end where you'll find a pot.  Smash it
for a ruby.  Head back and jump on the Egyptian statue in the left corner to
get back up above.  Now jump across the platforms to the other side.  There
are six platforms.  The first three are solid meaning they won't fall down.
The last three will fall down shortly after you jump on them so jump quickly
across them.  Go through the door on the other side.  You'll be in a room
with rotating platforms.  Jump on one of them.  Jump to the next set of
rotating platforms.  Then look to the right and you'll see a key on a ledge.
Get the key and then get back on the rotating platform.  Jump to the ledge
and go through the door.  You'll see black dots in the floor.  Stand next to
them and wait.  Spikes will appear.  Wait for the spikes to retract before
proceeding.  Get the Genie token.  Then wait for the second set of spikes to
retract before approaching the door.  There's a safe spot in the middle of
the door that you can stand on while you wait for the door to unlock.

Follow the passage and avoid the cobra head flames.  You'll find a room with
a cobra in it.  Throw a dagger at it to kill it.  Now refill your dagger
supply with the chalice in the room.  Then smash the pot in the corner.  A
mummy will appear.  Kill it with daggers.  Sometimes the mummy's hand will
still remain after you killed the body.  Throw another dagger at the hand to
kill it.  Throw a dagger into the opening.  The door will open.  Refill your
dagger supply before going through the door.  There's an Egyptian bull to
your left.  Kill him.  Then throw a dagger into the opening.  The door will
open.  Go back to the previous room to refill your daggers before you go
through the door.  The next room has a movable block in front of you.
There's a moving platform against the wall.  There are also platforms high up
that you'll need to reach.  First push the block against the wall.  Use the
block to jump to the moving platform.  Ride it up and jump to the column next
to the dagger opening.  Throw a dagger into the opening.  The door below will
open.  Turn and you'll see some platforms in the air.  Jump across them to
get the Genie token on the other side.  You could also have ridden the moving
platform and jumped across the heads of the two statues in the room.  Go
through the door afterwards.

There's a mummy to your right.  Kill it quickly.  You'll get a ruby.  Then
refill your daggers with the chalice in the room.  Step on the switch in the
floor to open the door.  Go through and you'll find yourself in a large room
with some large black steps in front of you, a lamp in the back, and a moving
platform against the wall.  Turn right and smash the pot at the end for a
ruby.  Now walk to the lamp.  Iago tells you about the cat statue.  Step on
the switch to raise the platform that the statue is on.  Now turn around and
climb up the big steps.  Stand at the top of the steps and wait for the
moving platform to come around.  Jump over to it.  Ride the platform to the
other side.  Jump off and push the cat statue to the ledge.  Then push it
onto the black column marked with a cat symbol.  The cat statue will slowly
push the column downward.  Climb back up the steps and you'll notice two
platforms rising up from the floor.  Wait for them to fully rise and jump
across to the door.  You'll find a Chronicle of the Dead on the ledge by the
door.  Go through and get the coins.  Then go through the doorway to end the
level.



Pyramid level 4
---------------

There's a cobra guarding daggers in front of you.  Sneak up and steal the
daggers.  Then kill the mummy behind the cobra with the daggers.  Turn the
corner and look at the floor and the walls.  You should see holes in the
walls.  Jump over the floor to pass the trap.  Around the corner are rotating
blades and flames from the cobra heads.  Stay near the edge of the wall so
you go under the cobra heads.  Then just avoid the blades.  You'll see rings
over a pit.  Jump and grab them to swing across.  On the other side is a
column.  Push it over and use it as a bridge to cross the pit.  There's a pit
with two platforms that come out of the walls.  Jump across both to cross the
pit.  They don't retract completely in the wall so you can stand on them if
you don't jump across fast enough.  You'll find a chalice on the other side.
Refill if you need to.  You'll see a passage to the left.  Take it.  There's
a cobra head.  Jump up and you should be able to see the pit past the cobra
head.  So carefully walk past the cobra head.  Then jump over the pit and
enter the door.  Kill the mummy for a ruby.  Go back and refill your daggers
at the chalice.

Go to the end of the passage and you'll see three platforms that come out of
the wall.  Jump in the pit and smash the pots for Genie juices and a Genie
token.  Climb back up with the ladder on the wall.  Now the platforms will
retract all the way this time so you'll need to jump across all three in one
try.  Time your jump so you jump and land just as the first platform emerges.
Then quickly jump across the other two before they retract.  Go around the </pre><pre id="faqspan-3">
corner and you'll see a passage heading to the right.  Pass it for now.  Go
straight ahead and enter the door at the end of the passage instead.  There's
a cobra guarding daggers in the next room.  Refill if you need to.  Then go
through the door.  You'll find the checkpoint.  Kill the Egyptian bull in the
room.  Go around the corner and dodge the flames.  Jump across the platform
and smash the pot on the other side for a ruby.  Now head back to the passage
that you skipped before.

Wait for the spikes to appear and retract before proceeding.  Go through the
door.  There are two eagle men and an Egyptian bull in the room.  Kill the
eagle men first.  You'll probably be fighting both at the same time so be
careful when you attack.  Kill the bull next.  Go through the door.  The next
room contains many blocks.  Iago tells you move the blocks to deflect the
laser.  That's exactly what you're going to do.  Examine the blocks and
you'll see that they have arrows on them.  The blocks in the tracks may be
pushed one spot over provided that no block is in its way.  To the left is a
switch.  Press it and the laser will shoot out from the left wall.  You'll
need to push the blocks around to change the laser's path so that it ends up
hitting the door.

Start by standing by the switch.  Now rotate the camera so that the switch is
at the south part of your screen.  Now the room should look like the figure
below.

following order.  I push only 1 block at a time.

go through the door to end the level.



Battle with Anubis
------------------

It's time to fight an Egyptian god, Anubis.  He's a pushover compared to the
other bosses that you've fought.  He has one attack that he'll use if you
stand too far away from him.  That is, he'll shoot lighting bolts at you with
his staff if you stand too far away.  He'll do nothing but stand there if you
stand close enough.  His strength lies in his defense.  The ring around him
will protect him from all attacks.  A black spirit will be flying around.
Kill the spirit to remove the ring for a short amount of time.  Don't get hit
by the spirit or you'll be stunned momentarily.

Begin by killing the spirit flying around.  The ring disappears.  Attack
Anubis with your sword while the ring is gone.  Do it quickly or the ring
will reappear.  Now two spirits will fly around.  Kill both quickly or the
other will reappear.  The ring disappears when both are dead.  Attack Anubis
again.  Now three spirits appear.  Kill the one flying around the edge of the
room first.  Then kill the two flying around Anubis.  Now attack Anubis
before the ring reappears.  Three more spirits appear.  Kill them first and
then attack Anubis to finish him off.  Congratulations, you just killed an
Egyptian god.  You can stand over his fallen body if you want.  You'll get
two snake artifacts for winning.  Grab them to end the level.



Crumbled Palace
---------------

You'll play as Jasmine in this level.  The only thing she can do is hide in
the urn by crouching.  You cannot be seen by the guards in this level.  Do
not let them see you and don't let them see you move.  Crouch to hide in the
urn but don't move while hiding.  Rotate the camera around to see where they
are.  If they see you they'll start to chase you.  You can try to jump away
to another platform but they'll most likely catch you.  Then they'll kick you
back to the beginning or to the last checkpoint you passed.  You don't lose a
life but it can get very annoying to have to repeat the same parts over and
over each time you get caught.

Go forward and jump on the pillow.  Bounce up to the ledge to the left.  Jump
over the pit to the platform with the two coins.  Get them.  Then go to the
edge of the platform.  You should see a ledge below.  Drop down.  Drop down
one more time the platform below that.  Get the coin and then jump on the
pillow to bounce to the ledge above.  Get ready now because the next ledge
that you bounce to will have a guard on it.  Jump on the pillow and bounce to
the ledge above.  Hide immediately.  Rotate the camera and look for the guard
to the left.  He should be patrolling the area near you.  Wait for him to
have his back turned before moving.  He'll stop and then take a look around.
Do not move during this time.  He'll start heading back eventually.  Sneak up
behind up but do not get too close.  Get the coins.  Then head back to the
pillow.  Bounce up the next ledge above.  Get the coins there.  Then drop
back down on the pillow and bounce to the highest ledge.

There's a guard there.  Hopefully he won't see you as you land.  Jump back
down if he does see you.  Hide when he doesn't see you.  Wait for him to have
his back turned before you move.  Get the coin on the left side of the
platform.  You should be able to see a lower ledge to the left that has a
ruby on it.  Jump down and get it.  Then drop back down on the platform
below.  Jump on the pillow to bounce back to the ledge above.  Now you should
see the other coin in the corner of the platform.  Go there after the guard
has his back turned and you'll see the coin is part of a coin trail leading
down.  Jump down and follow the coins.  You'll find a checkpoint.  At this
point, a guard to the side should have spotted you and is trying to get you.
Too bad he's on another platform.  Just hide until he stops chasing and heads
off in the other direction.  Slowly sneak up behind him and follow him.  Then
jump on the higher platform and get to the pillow.  Get the coin.  You'll see
some pink cages to the right.  Go there and watch out for the guard.  Sneak
around to the back and you'll find some coins.  Go back to the pillow.

Bounce up the ledge above.  Get the coin.  You'll hear some crowing.  There's
a crow above you that can hurt you if you touch it.  Go to the end of the
platform.  Get the coin on the higher platform.  Then turn and look down.
The other coin leads to a platform below.  Drop down.  There's a coin on
another platform near you.  Get that one too.  Then look down.  You should
see the checkpoint off in the distance to the left.  Drop down in that
direction aiming for the stairs and head for it.  There's a scroll behind the
checkpoint.  Get it and Genie will unlock the gates.  The camera will now
follow a path to the gates.  Study it carefully as that will be the path that
you will follow.  Now go behind the throne to find a ruby.  Then go down the
steps from the left side.  You should see a coin on top of a broken part of
the wall.  Carefully jump on the wall and walk up to the coin.  Get down and
watch out for the guard.  There's another coin on a wall.  Get it.  Then walk
to the corner of the wall.  Turn the camera and you'll see two pillows.  Jump
over to the ledge of the lower pillow.  Get the coin on the platform.  Then
go to the edge where you'll see a coin trail leading downward.

Jump down and follow the coins.  Now look to the left and you'll see a guard
on the platform below.  Wait for him to have his back turned.  Then jump off
without using the pillow and land behind the guard.  Quickly move out of his
patrol path and hide.  Wait for him to have his back turned before you jump
on the pillow.  Bounce up the ledge above for a ruby.  Drop down and head for
the gates.  Go left and you'll find a pillow by the left wall.  Jump and
bounce to the balcony above.  Get the coin.  Go through the door and you'll
appear on the other balcony.  Get the coins.  Jump on the edge of the
balcony.  Look down below for any guards.  You should see a cement walkway
leading off in the distance.  Jump down when the coast is clear and follow
the walkway.  You will soon see a guard in the distance by the gate.  Hide
quickly.  Wait for the guard to walk away into one of the side areas next to
the gate.  Then quickly run to the gate to end the level.



Ancient City level 1
--------------------

This level is a race against time or rather the magic portal.  You have to
hurry if you want to make it before it closes on you.  You have 180 seconds
to make it.  There are lots of skeletons in your way.  They only take one hit
to kill and they won't block most of the time so just run and cut through
them.  Don't forget to pick up the stuff they drop though.  You have about
15-20 seconds to spare if you follow my strategy.  Remember to always keep
moving.

Remember that there are 128 coins in the level so you can use your coin total
to see how you're doing against time.  There is no checkpoint so it's a one
shot deal.  Get all the coins that you see.  Go forward and swing across the
pit.  Let go of the vine when you've swung all the way forward.  You don't
need to build up your swing in this level.  Kill the skeleton for coins.
Don't bother blocking.  Just slash away to kill it.  Continue forward.  Don't
forget to get the coins on the rocks.  Jump over the lava.  Boulders start
raining down.  Dodge them by avoiding their shadows.  Kill the skeleton on
the bridge for a ruby.  Kill the skeleton around the corner for coins.  Jump
over the tree root by jumping over its left side.  Kill the skeleton for a
Genie juice.  Kill the next skeleton for coins.  The cracked ground behind
the skeleton will crumble so jump over the pit.  Jump over the two platforms
in the pit.  Jump over the lava and kill the skeleton for coins.  Go to the
next lava stream.  Smash the pot to the right for a ruby.  Jump over the
lava.  Kill the skeleton for a Genie juice.  The cracked ground just past the
skeleton will collapse so jump over the pit.

You should have about 120 seconds now and have collected 43 coins.  Jump over
the next series of platforms to cross the pit.  The fifth platform that you
jump to will be the one that's to the right of the fourth platform and not
the one to the north.  Jump across the lava next.  Go up the hill where
boulders roll down on you.  At the top of the hill is a ledge to the right.
Jump down and across the lava.  The skeleton there will block so do a
crouching slash to kill it.  You'll get a Genie juice.  Jump over the lava
and smash the pot at the end for a ruby.  Now jump back to the top of the
hill.  Jump off to the right.  Kill the skeleton for coins.  Kill the next
one for a Genie juice.  Jump over the next series of platforms to cross the
pit.  Then jump over the lava on the other side.  Kill the skeleton for
coins.  Jump down to the platform below when you get to the end of the
platform that you're currently on.  Kill the skeleton for a Genie juice.

Swing over the pit.  Then jump over the lava.  Kill the skeleton for coins.
Jump over the lava.  Then kill the next skeleton for a Genie juice.  Go
around the corner where the camera will shift a bit.  You'll see a boulder
ahead.  Look at the ground in front of the boulder.  It's cracked so get
ready to jump over it.  Get the coin on the rock.  Then jump over the lava.
Kill the skeleton for a Genie juice.  You'll climb uphill now.  You should
have 100 coins at the top of the hill and around 50 seconds left.  The camera
will now switch to a side view.  Don't get careless with your jumps now.
Kill the skeleton for a Genie juice.  Now you'll see some vines.  Remember to
let go of the vine when you've swung all the way to the right.  Do not build
up your swing because it's not necessary and you're running low on time.

The camera now switches back to the original view.  You'll reach the end of
the platform.  Turn right and jump to the platform.  Turn right again and
jump to the next platform.  Then jump off the platform.  Go uphill and kill
the skeleton for coins.  You're in the final stretch now so just continue
forward.  Kill the next skeleton for coins.  You'll go uphill again.
Boulders roll down now.  You should have all 128 coins at this point and 15-
20 seconds left.  Jump down and you'll see the portal.  Enter it to end the
level.



Ancient City level 2
--------------------

There's three Kali pillars and a lamp in front of you.  Approach the lamp and
Genie will clue you in on pushing Kali statues.  Now to the right is a broken
bridge.  The door to the north is closed.  So go left and across the bridge.
Kill the skeleton on the other side of the bridge.  There's another skeleton
just past him.  Kill it and jump over the tree root.  Between the two rocks
ahead is a skeleton.  Kill it and you'll reach the end of the platform.  Jump
and swing on the vine in front of you.  There will be Genie juices and rocks
on the platform that you land on.  Stock up your supply of rocks.  Then jump
and swing across the vine by the broken bridge.  Go straight until you reach
the broken bridge.  Turn right and go across the bridge.  There's a zombie
man on the other side.  Throw 4 rocks at him to stun him.  Then run in and
slash him twice with your sword to kill him.  Go across the bridge behind the
zombie man and activate the switch.  The broken bridge will now be fixed.  Go
across it and you'll find a checkpoint.

Next to the checkpoint is a Kali statue.  Recall Genie's clue from earlier.
Push it until the statue starts to move on its own.  Start blocking.
Counterattack afterwards with a crouch slash.  Then block again.  Repeat his
process to hit the statue 5 times to win.  You'll get a ruby.  Now near the
checkpoint is a switch.  Activate it and some platforms appear.  Jump across
them to the other side.  You'll find two stone demons.  They are can't be
killed so dodge their attacks and get the Genie token.  You'll see a fallen
log that you can walk across.  Go across it to find a checkpoint.  There's a
skeleton guarding the checkpoint so kill it first.  Now you should see
several vines.  Jump and swing across them.  You don't have to build up your
swing to make each vine.  On the other side is a Kali statue.  Collect the
coins around it first.  Then look to the right and there is a Genie juice on
a platform.  Get it.  Now push the Kali statue to make it attack you.  Then
kill it like before.  You'll get a ruby for killing it.  Ahead is another
fallen log.  Walk across it.

Go left and kill the skeleton first.  Then go back to the right and get the
three Genie juices.  Run to the end of the platform and swing across the
vine.  Go to the end of that platform and you'll see some floating platforms.
Quickly jump across them because they will drop after you land on them.
There will be a Kali statue on the platform afterwards.  Push it and then
kill it after it comes to life.  You'll get a ruby for winning as well as
causing a door at the level's starting area to open.  You'll see some coins
on small platforms.  Follow them down to the platform below.  Walk around the
platform and kill the two skeletons that appear.  Now go to the bridge and
get the first coin.  Stop and look down.  Notice that a section is missing.
Jump over the gap and get the second coin.  The bridge section after the coin
is also missing.  So jump over that gap too.  Get the coins on the platform.
The bridge to the left is broken.  Go to the north and you'll see a switch on
a ledge.  Activate it to fix the broken bridge.  Go across the bridge and
you'll find yourself back at the starting area.  Go to the right behind the
three Kali pillars and enter the door to end the level.



Ancient City level 3

You start out in a large room with seven doorways, three on the right, three
on the left and one to the north.  I've drawn a map below and labeled the
doors with letters.

I'll be referring to the letters in figure 7 to guide you through the level.
Get the coins and Genie token behind you.  Then go right and kill the man-
eating plant by attacking it three times with your sword.  Don't touch the
plant or its thorns will hurt you.  Go through passage A.  Enter the door.
There will be a mini obelisk in front of you.  To the left is a golden harp.
Further to the left are stars rising from the floor.  You'll need to push the
obelisk directly on top of the stars.  Walk around the room and kill the
three skeletons that appear.  Now look at the floor.  You should see a dark
track along the floor that leads from the obelisk to the stars.  Push the
obelisk along this track.  It will open once it's on the stars.  Gate D
unlocks.  The harp will come to life and shoot musical notes at you.  Get out
of the room before they hit you.

Go back to the main hall.  Turn right and jump over the pit to go to passage
B.  Watch out for the rats that come out of the hole in the wall.  Enter the
door.  There's another obelisk in the room.  The stars are far on the other
side of the room.  To make matters worse, it's raining boulders.  With the
camera rotated so the stars are directly to the north, push the obelisk left,
up, right, up, left, and up.  Gate E will open.  You're going to get hit by
the boulders so try to move the obelisk as fast as you can.  Get the two
Genie juices in the room before you leave.  Go back to the main hall.  Go
right and get the Genie juice.  There's a ghoul by the juice.  You can't kill
him permanently although you can kill him temporarily.  Slash him four times
with your sword to send him to the floor.  He'll get back up after a short
amount of time so get away fast.  Now go to passage C.  Kill the two man-
eating plants that you encounter and enter the door.

More obelisk pushing again.  First kill the two man-eating plants in the
room.  There's two ghouls in the room and they're bound to get in your way so
kill them as much as necessary.  Now rotate the camera so that the stars are
directly to the north.  Push the obelisk right, up, left, up right, up, and
left.  Gate F will open.  Get out of the room and head back to the main hall.
Now go straight and get the coins.  Skip door G for now since you can't kill
the zombie man guarding the door yet.  Get the coins as you head for passage
D.  Enter the door and you'll reach the checkpoint.  Walk over to the right
and jump over the pit.  Kill the skeleton that appears.  Walk to the left and
kill the other skeleton that appears.  Then jump over the next pit and kill
the skeleton that appears there.  The passage ahead is guarded by suits of
armor.  Wait for them to retract their spears.  Then run past them one at a
time.  Enter the door.  A gate locks you in.  Move forward and kill the
skeletal horseman that appears.  You get a ruby for killing it.  Get the gear
in the center of the room.  Now get out and go back to the main hall.

Proceed to passage E now.  Enter the door.  There will be two paths left and
right.  Go to the right.  Avoid the armors' spears.  Enter the door on the
other side.  There's a checkpoint to the right.  Look around the room and
you'll see that the path winds around to the left side.  Follow the path
quickly as boulders will drop down halfway down the path.  Don't bother with
the ghouls and run past them.  Try to get the coins while you're at it.
You'll find a large pipe organ.  Step on the green button to activate the
organ.  You'll need to reproduce the order that the keys are pressed.  So
watch the organ.  Then jump on the keys.  I've labeled the keys 1, 2, and 3
starting from the left so press keys 2, 1, and 3 in that order.  You can try
as many times as it takes to get it right.  Just step on the button if you
mess up.  The gate will open.  Go through.  Kill the man-eating plant.  Get
the gear behind it.  The pit in front of you is too far to cross so head back
the other way.  Go back to the main hall.

Go to passage F now.  Enter the door.  Run past the ghoul and jump over to
the checkpoint.  Collect the rocks behind the checkpoint.  Jump across the
pit and ignore the ghoul.  Jump over the next pit and enter the door.  You've
entered what seems like Hell.  There are lots of black spirits flying around.
Kill them all.  Then get the Genie juice to the right.  There's a ruby in the
back part of the room.  Jump over the pit to get the gear.  Then head back to
the main hall.  Go to passage G.  Kill the zombie man there by throwing a
rock at him to stun him.  Then attack him with your sword while he's stunned.
One hit is all it takes.  Now enter the door.  You'll find a checkpoint.
Look at the wall in front of you.  You'll see some gears and three holes.
Walk up to the gears and you'll place the ones that you've found into the
holes.  The platform will now move up and down.  Ride it up.

There will be an octopus tentacle sticking out from the right wall.  Jump
past it.  Kill the two man-eating plants in your way.  There's a skeleton
near them so you'll have to fight it as the same time.  You'll get a ruby for
killing the skeleton.  Continue forward and you'll see a pit.  There's a
tentacle to the left.  Look down at the pit.  You should see three dark
colored platforms.  Jump over to the farthest one and quickly jump off after
you land because it will drop once you step on it.  Kill the two man-eating
plants on the other side.  Run past the ghoul to the door.  There's a huge
pipe organ in the room.  Step on the green button to see the what keys to
press.  I've labeled the keys 1-8 starting from the left.  Press keys 5, 7,
4, 1, and 2 in that order.  You can try as many times as it takes.  I find it
easier to press a key and then jump back on the floor so I don't accidentally
press another key.  You'll end the level when you press the keys in the
correct order.



Battle with the Evil Sultan
---------------------------

This is a hard boss battle because it takes a long time to win.  It may be a
close fight depending on how well you can dodge his attacks.  It's just like
the previous carpet levels only you have fewer things to dodge.  The Evil
Sultan will have two attacks.  The first is to fly around and throw fireballs
at you.  The second attack is to fly at you.  Don't stop shooting during the
fight.

Start by flying around and dodging the Evil Sultan's fireballs.  Try to hit
him as many times as you can.  He'll soon become invulnerable to your attack.
You'll know this because he changes to a golden orange and faces you.  The
Evil Sultan will try to home in on your position and then charge at you.
Move around to avoid getting hit.  He'll repeat this a few times.  Then he'll
resume throwing fireballs at you.  Continue to hit him as best you can.
He'll alternate between throwing fireballs and charging at you from here on
out.  He'll begin to throw two fireballs at you when his life gets lower.  It
will take 16 hits to kill him.  You'll get a snake artifact for winning.



Nasira's Lair level 1
---------------------

This is a hard level because of all the lava that can kill you.  Make sure
that you can jump well because hard jumps are what this level is all about.
You'll see lots of molten hot rocks.  Do not touch them or you'll get hurt.
Get the coins in the area.  You'll find a switch.  Activate it.  There's a
Genie juice by the lava bed.  You'll see platforms flowing downward.  You'll
need to jump across.  Falling in the lava will hurt you EACH TIME YOU TOUCH
IT so your temporary invulnerability when getting hit will not work here.  I
find it easiest to jump to the first platform when it just comes into your
jump range because you can use your shadow to help guide your jump.  Jump
across the next several platforms.  You might want to stand on a platform a
little longer near the end of the lava so that you can make the final jump to
the platform.  There's a checkpoint on the other side and a Genie juice.
Follow the passage around.

You'll come to a lava pit.  Jump over it carefully.  Touching the red rocks
will hurt you.  Continue onward.  You'll find another lava pit.  There are
two paths to take.  Jump on the platform and take the north path to get a
Genie juice.  Now turn around and jump back on the platform.  Take the other
path now.  You'll then come to a fork in the path.  Go left.  Jump over the
lava and you'll fight a snake man.  Block his attacks.  Then counterattack.
Do not touch him or you'll get poisoned.  Three hits will kill him.  You'll
get an antidote.  Get the key.  Then go back and take the other path at the
fork.  You'll come to more lava.  Jump over the lava.  In front of you is a
Genie juice.  You can go left or right now.  To the right are some rotating
platforms that drop.  That path leads back to the lava pit where you turned
around after getting the Genie juice.  Go left instead.

You'll see some lava.  Jump to the first moving platform.  Ride it near the
ruby's platform.  Jump off and get the ruby.  Jump across the other moving
platform to the other side.  There's a pendulum swinging over a lava pit.
Jump to it carefully.  Ride it as far as it will swing.  Then jump off to the
second pendulum just as it stops swinging too.  Then jump off to the next
platform.  Follow the path around the corner and you'll unlock the door with
your key.  Jump across the lava.  There will be a Genie juice in front of
you.  To the right are some ice crystals.  Gather up as much as you can.
Then there are two paths to take.  Go right and use the ice crystal to kill
the fire snake.  Jump across and you'll find a checkpoint.  You're in a large
lava room now.  Run to the end of the platform.  You'll see many pendulums.
Falling down here will spell your doom because you won't have enough time to
try to get back on solid ground.  Therefore, you'll need to be extra careful
with your jumps.

Wait for the first pendulum to swing all the way to the right before you jump
to it.  Now ride it and watch the next pendulum.  Jump to it when it stops
swinging.  Ride and you'll see two more pendulums that stop swinging near
each other.  Jump to the one swinging left and right first.  Then jump from
there to the other one.  Jump from there to solid ground.  You'll find a
checkpoint just ahead.  Follow the passage and you'll see some sharp rocks
sticking out from the lava.  Jump on them and they'll start sinking.  Run to
the top of each rock and jump from there to the next rock.  Repeat this for
each rock to cross the lava.  There are two Genie juices ahead.  Now you'll
see more lava.  There are two moving platforms as well as a ring in the air.
Jump to the first moving platform.  Then jump to the ring.  Swing over to the
other moving platform.  Then jump to the other side.

Kill the fire snake with your ice crystal or sword.  Get the ruby to the
right.  There's a checkpoint to the left.  Follow the path and you'll find a
sharp rock in the lava.  Jump on it and get across the lava.  There's a
pendulum swinging now.  Jump on it as it swings at you.  Then jump across to
the other side.  You'll see a higher platform above the lava.  Rotate the
camera so you get a side view.  This helps you to jump off at the last
possible moment.  Jump at the last moment and you'll find a checkpoint at the
top.  Rotate the camera 45 degrees so you can see the platform that you have
to jump to.  Jump across the first two platforms.  You'll see a platform
that's higher up.  Rotate the camera sideways like before and jump off at the
last moment to clear the jump.

Activate the switch.  A platform will move on the lava.  Jump on it.  Rotate
the camera sideways to help you jump.  Wait for the moving platform to go as
far as it can before jumping to the next platform.  Don't worry as the next
platform will not fall down so take your time jumping to the next platform
afterwards.  There will now be rotating platforms on the lava.  Jump on one
of them when it gets near.  Ride it around and jump to the next set of
rotating platforms.  Jump to the single platform in the lava to get a Genie
token and a ruby.  Activate the switch there and some platforms appear behind
you.  Jump back across the rotating platforms.  You'll now see the new
platforms.  Don't let the moving platform to the right fool you into jumping
off to the side.  There are only four platforms to jump across.  Jump across
them carefully.  Take your time since they won't drop.  Jump to the ledge on
the wall.  Look up and you'll see another ledge higher up.  Jump to it.  Jump
up to the platform and you'll find a checkpoint.

There are more sharp rocks in lava.  Jump across them.  Then you'll see stone
shaped stones that will break apart after you land on them so jump across
them quickly but carefully.  You'll see a ring in the air.  Don't bother
grabbing it because you can make the jump without it.  You'll come to some
more sharp rocks.  Jump past them to some more cone shaped stones.  There's a
ring that you can grab if you want to take a breather since the stones will
reappear after you break them.  Let the ring come to a complete stop.  Then
make the ring start to swing just a little and jump off when it reaches the
peak of its swing.  You'll find a checkpoint.  There are more cone shaped
stones to jump across.  Jump across the first five stones.  Then jump and
grab the ring.  Let the ring stop completely.  Then make it move a little and
swing off to the next stone.  Jump off to the sharp rock.  Then jump over the
next cone shaped stone.  Jump across to the next stone.  Then jump from there
to the sharp rock.  Jump on the ring and swing to solid ground.  Enter the
doorway to end the level.



Nasira's Lair level 2
---------------------

Go across the bridge and you'll encounter a fireball.  You can kill it with
two stomps.  Jump across the sinking platforms to the other side.  There's
another fireball.  Kill it and run to the left where you'll see a fire golem.
Dodge his fireballs and attack him once with your sword to kill him.  Jump
across the next sinking platform.  Follow the path and jump over the lava
near the corner.  Around the corner is a snake man.  Kill him for an
antidote.  Now look down and you'll see a huge lava pit with several
pendulums swinging.  It shouldn't be any surprise that falling down here
would spell death for you.  Look at the first pendulum in front of you that
is swinging left and right.  You need to jump and land on it as it is in mid-
swing.  That is let the pendulum swing all the way in one direction.  Then
let it start to move back in the other direction.  Now jump a split second
after it starts moving to land on it as it passes the middle of its swing.
Now let it swing back to the right and jump to the ledge with the key.

Jump up to the ledge above for a coin.  Now it is hard to see where to jump
from this higher ledge so drop down to the key's ledge.  Stand near the edge
opposite the wall.  Rotate the camera so it's directly behind Aladdin and you
can see the top of his hat.  You should be able to see the first pendulum at
the top of your screen.  Jump on it when it swings all the way over.  Ride it
and watch the second pendulum.  You'll notice it gets close to your pendulum.
In fact it's close enough that you can walk onto the second platform.  Do
this quickly or you'll fall down.  Now watch the third pendulum and jump to
it when it stops swinging.  Jump to the solid ground below.  A snake man
waits for you.  Kill him for an antidote.  Go around the corner and you'll
come to a pendulum again.  Jump on it as it swings towards you.  Then jump on
the sinking platform.  You'll need to quickly jump to the second pendulum
before the platform sinks completely.  Jump over to find a checkpoint.

Go around the corner and you'll unlock the door with your key.  Get the three
Genie juices on the other side.  Follow the path and you'll fight another
snake man.  It will take five hits to kill him.  You'll get an antidote.
Enter the door.  Kill the fire golem to the right.  Now you'll see some Genie
juices above platforms in the lava.  To the left is a solid path that you can
use instead.  Get the juices only if you need them.  Otherwise just pass them
up.  You'll then have to jump over some sinking platforms.  A snake man waits
on the other side.  Kill him for, you guessed it, another antidote.  Around
the corner are some flames from statues.  Wait for the flames to recede
before running through.  You'll see some floating platforms over the lava.
They won't fall down so you can take your time jumping across.  Rotate the
camera to help your jumps as it's very easy to over jump the platforms.  You
might want to quickly jump over the last two platforms so you can kill the
fire golem on the other side.

Go around the corner and you'll see three spinning cobra heads.  Jump down
and get the coins and Genie juices.  Then jump on the ledges on the south
wall to climb back up.  Now you'll see three paths to take.  Jump on the
statues and take the left path first.  Kill the snake man for a ruby.  He
won't poison you which is why there's no antidote.  Then take the north path.
Kill the snake man there for another ruby.  There's no antidote for the same
reason as the other snake man.  Finally go to the right path.  There's a
checkpoint there.  The snake man here can poison you.  Kill him for an
antidote.  Then go through the door.  Approach the lamp and Iago says that
this is the final room where all your skills will be tested.  He's referring
primarily to all you JUMPING skills.

Falling down here will spell almost certain death.  Go across the bridge and
turn right.  You'll see a pendulum swinging at you.  Jump to it when it
swings at you.  Jump to the Genie token on the ledge.  Rotate the camera so
the next pendulum is at the northwest part of your screen.  Jump to it when
it gets near.  Next to the pendulum are two cone shaped stones.  Jump to the
first stone when the pendulum swings all the way to the left.  Then quickly
jump the stones to the ledge before they drop down.  Rotate the camera so you
can see the next pendulum to jump to.  Jump to it when it gets near.  Now
wait and watch the pendulum as it swings.  You'll notice that it almost
completely overlaps the next pendulum at the peak of its swing.  So let the
pendulum swing all the way over.  Let the pendulums overlap.  Then just walk
over enough to the next pendulum so that you stand on it.  Let it swing and
you'll see that the next pendulum is swinging exactly in sync with the one
you're on now.  You'll need to let the pendulum you're on now swing as far as
it will go.  Then take a leap of faith and jump towards the next pendulum.
It will start swinging towards you and you'll land safely just in the nick of
time.

Jump to the ledge and activate the switch.  You'll see some platforms appear.
They forms steps down to a platform on the lava where you can get a ruby.
Rotate the camera to help in jumping.  Jump to the nearest platform.  It
won't fall so take your time.  Jump to the next one to the left.  Then just
walk down the platforms to the ledge with the ruby.  Now turn around so that
the platforms are directly to the north.  Look to the right and you should
see a stone column rising out of the lava.  You'll need to jump to there from
the fifth platform up.  Now look down and you will see a series of stones
going to the left.  Jump down on the first sinking stone and jump across the
others to the cone shaped stones.  Jump up them and get the Genie token at
the top.  Enter the door to end the level.



The Final Battle
----------------

Ok, it's time to fight to free Agrabah once and for all.  Remember the
volcano that Nasira was in during the opening movie?  The fight is here.  In
the middle of the lava pit is Jafar's head.  Nasira will be flying around
Jafar in a circle shooting magic at you.  Not only do you have to avoid her,
but you also have to dodge the rocks that drop down.  Begin the fight by
running around avoiding Nasira's shots.  Grab the ice crystals that appear.
Nasira will eventually hold up the snake artifacts that you collected for her
in her hand.  Throw an ice crystal at her.  She'll drop the artifact.  Break
the artifact by slashing it with your sword.  Do it quickly or she'll reclaim
the artifact and use it to increase Jafar's life.  Now run around again and
grab more ice crystals.  After a short while, Nasira will hold another snake
artifact in her hand.  Knock it out of her hand and break it.  She'll do this
four times.  If you fail to knock off the artifact, she'll drop it into the
lava pit and Jafar's life will increase.

After 4 artifacts are dropped/destroyed, Nasira will merge with Jafar and his
head will spin around shooting fireballs from his jewel in his turban.  Rocks
will be falling so dodge those too.  Aim for his jewel with your ice
crystals.  You can destroy the fireballs with your ice crystals.  Repeat
until he's dead.  His life will vary depending on how successful you were in
destroying the snake artifacts from Nasira.  The more artifacts that you
destroyed, the lower his life meter will be.  Each snake artifact give him a
quarter of his full life or the equivalent of 2 hits.  If you destroyed all 4
snake artifacts, it will take 1 hit to win.  Destroying 3 artifacts takes 3
hits to win.  Destroying 2 artifacts takes 5 hits to win.  Destroying 1
artifact takes 7 hits to win.  Destroying none of the artifacts will require
8 hits to win.

Congratulations on finishing the game and restoring peace once again to
Agrabah.

X.  FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q:  I'm stuck in the pyramid.  What do I do?
A:  See my walkthrough on the pyramid levels for the solution.

Q:  What does collecting all the coins do?
A:  Nothing.  It's just for the sake of completeness that you should get all
   the coins and red gems.

Q:  What does getting the blue Genie gems do?
A:  You get a special screen after the normal ending congratulating you if
   you manage to collect all 20.

Q:  The game says that Ancient City level 3 has 53 coins but I can only find
   52.  Where's the last coin?
A:  I'm just as stumped as you are.  I have yet to find the 53rd coin even
   after multiple thorough searches.  I'm not sure it even exists because I
   searched every nook and cranny of that level.

Q:  How do I get all the coins in the Return to the Palace and Cave of
   Wonders level 4?
A:  I recommend playing both levels with the maximum 9 lives.  Then just
   carefully follow the coin trail.  It's difficult but possible to get the
   coins.  If you fail to get all the coins, just don't save the game and
   quit.  Then load up the save and try again.  With enough practice, you
   can get them all.  It also helps to not get any checkpoints so you don't
   lose the chance to get any coins that you missed earlier.

Q:  Can I kill the stone demons in Ancient City level 2 or the ghouls in
   Ancient City level 3?
A:  No.  They are not killable.

Q:  I'm stuck in Pyramid level 4 and your puzzle solution step 7 says to push
   block B left to spot 10 but block D is at spot 10.  What do I do?
A:  There was a typo in version 1.00 of this FAQ.  I meant for you to push
   block B left to spot _8_ instead of spot 10.  This error has been
   corrected for FAQ version 1.01 and higher.
