ABOUT THE GAME:
===============

Many of those who have heard about it in April of 2000, they could not believe
their ears. Instead, it is true, Devilman has been transformed by Bandai in a
video game for Playstation! Even in a good game I would say (though, of course,
entirely in Japanese-sigh!). Graphics a bit 'oscillating peaks artistic
surprising, as the introductory movie that simply leaves you breathless, and
points not really convincing, as the movie follows the introduction. However
convince Devilman 3d and how, carried out in every detail, beautiful and fierce
as they want his fans. The story is divided into two chapters, the first in
which you interpret that Akira must merge with Amon, the second in which you
interpret Devilman who must clear Miky kidnapped by demons. The CD is related
to a nice instruction booklet very colorful.


The video game reminds many ways Devilman Nintendo in 1989, with a brand new
look and feel. I refer primarily to the idea of the characters to save. In
fact, in Chapter 2 of the game you have to save many hostages before he could
release Miky who has been kidnapped. This idea was probably taken from the
original game to increase the difficulty, inserted the possibility that the
other characters being attacked by demons and asked the help of Devilman. You
could choose whether to grant or deny, if, however, was left to die
un'ostaggio, their score of humanity fell. The same applies to the new video
game: if you can not save un'ostaggio drops the final score of the level. It
seems strange to say if you stop at appearances, but the main difference
between the two games is that the first (the 89) is darker. And 'in fact set in

To make the game more horrific the developers have seen fit to sweep a first
part (Chapter 1) of adventure in which you interpret that Akira helpless,
trapped in the haunted house of Ryo, trying desperately to escape the demons
that chase . This part is definitely the most successful, suspense, action, and
easy puzzles are carefully measured and demons are graphically very beautiful
and very well characterized (they have different strengths and weaknesses and
inteliggenza artificial reacts differently from demon to demon!) . Certain
actions, if carried out, may slightly alter the course of events so as to face
enemies more or less strong. Interesting (though very frustrating) the idea of
the bar indicates that fatigue fatigue Akira and prevent him from running over
a certain period without breath. Carina also the idea of flashbacks to tell the
beginning of the story, much more effective than a long introduction that most
know by heart (it's just that the manga and even the dialogues are essentially
those). Also interesting is the change in the plot towards the end of the first
part, if, in fact, initially the story takes place in a way almost identical to
the manga (only for the sake of the game and Akira Ryo split) when the
protagonists finally able to come to room the Sabbath, they find a little
surprise ... Not that it really changes the course of events so much, but I
find that this small change awakenings the player's attention on the plot.



The main shortcomings of the game, however, are unfortunately soon be visible.
The film, made with the same graphics of the game are often worth and textature
run at large for the screen in most of them, I just can not see why not they
have made with the same (Splendida!!) graphics sigletta initial. Then, in many
ways, the game is guilty of naivety thus avoiding too easily some monsters in
the game, but it all starts to become frustrating when a demon is implanted in

is already too much for a modern video game. Another flaw is found quite

The scene is placed in a point in the game where you can not save and to be

kidnapped by demons. The largest and most wonderful difference from Chapter 1
is the extraordinary ease with which Devilman to pieces demons. Spectacular and
satisfying. I read some book reviews of some criticism on this point, I agree,
as I said, it's very rewarding experience immediately the big difference
between the power of Akira and that of Amon. In addition, the fact that the
lesser demons are not easy to defeat makes it less difficult the game (the idea
of the second part looks like a scrolling beat-em: weak enemies but many mega
bosses very strong, in this case a too!), and allows you to become familiar
with the new commands, download a little 'mounting frustration and invent
spectacular combo. Yes, because in Devilman, as in fighting, there are moves,
very nice and partcolari with all the classical repertoire (wings Devilman
Devilman radius ...) and something new, plus you can invent your own
combinations and fatalities for mostly very sadistic but definitely having an
effect like "attarra the enemy - Tear the heart - and eat it!". Meet demons
well known as Ghelmer, Agwel and Jinmen but the game ends when you least expect
it leaving you with a written (in Japanese) rather puzzling that tells you that
Silen awaits for the final battle and gives you a score on your way to play the
game. Voting ranging from A (the highest) to C (sufficiency). In reality,
ranging from A to E (which are the votes of Japanese school) but of course if
you finish the game you should have at least enough. Well, after that the game
gave you your good mark risbatte you to the main menu. And Silen?!
In fact the game is not finished there is indeed a Chapter 3, in which the face
Silen precisely, but it is a hidden chapter and to be able to unlock it you
have to finish the game on Normal mode with a grade A (which includes a lot '
of things ...). Frankly, I find that putting the end of the game in a secret
level is an idea at least debatable (but as it occurred!). However, those who
managed to face speaks of Silen as an opponent virtually invincible! (The rest
of Devilman in the comic did not defeat mica ...).
If you try to unlock this Chapter careful to one thing: the final written
Japanese, which speaks of Silen, always speaks of an A, this is not, however,
the vote that you have reached you, but theoretically, you have to reach ( yes,
because the game warns you of the existence of Chapter 3 and also tells you how
to unlock even though in Japanese). Your vote will appear later.
The game also has another secret level, this time a beautiful idea, which is
called Special Chapter and is the TV version of the game. There is a new
soundtrack, new combos and fatalities, new storyline and especially the signing
of Devilman! There is only one flaw: it is easier to get to Chapter 3!
Basically just complete the game once (Chapter 1 and 2) within 2 hours and you
will see a new entry in the menu that says SPECIAL.

BRIEF EXPLANATION FOR THOSE WHO MUST ALSO STARTED:
The game of Devilman is NTSC, which is the mode of Japanese TV, so if your TV
supports only PAL (who is the western one) you will not see anything and you
will see the screen in rows dancing.
The game is all in Japanese though the dialogues of Chapter 1 are easily
ascertainable to those who have read the comic, there are simple puzzles to
solve and understand the language of some help but everything is still playable.
The main menu items are:

moves plus some combo

The controls are really easy to understand and after a while you should know
most of them, however, I give you a list. Since they are different for Chapter
1 and 2 I have divided into two parts.
Chapter 1:
square: Commands Action, opens doors, picks up objects ...
O: Used to walk slowly without making noise (very useful for the entire first
chapter)
triangle is used to lower and walk on all fours.
X to jump (saltare. .. well let's say the small hops, you need more than
anything else to hang the handholds on the ceiling or exceed webs)
L1: around 180 degrees (which, is perhaps the most useful command of all!)
R1: Run (I highly recommend you use it only if you are on the carpet, or in
closed rooms, or you'll immediately upon the demon of the moment!).
Select: Open the menu from which you can select objects.
Start: Pause (a menu appears to disable or enable the vibrations).
commands R2 and L2 have no effect
Left, Right or Down to 2 times: fast moving or small jump in the chosen
direction (Left, Right, Back) useful to avoid the blows of the enemy.
Chapter 2:
Square: Punch
O: Shot of Judo (it has a stun effect on the opponent)

During the course of the game you will find many items that can be used: some
keys or maps or other items to solve parts of the game, then there are bonuses
to recover life (HP) and energy bar fatigue (SP - S does not going to fatigue
but for Stamina).

at a later time, or shaped like a tube, collecting them if you use them

Use the {} Fatality Stunning that takes the least amount of time to run so that
you can apply the Fatality Atterrante {} before the enemy recovers.
CLINCHER X COMBO by Annie May
You can perform these steps only closely and if the opponent is stunned or
landed, but if he is standing, stordiscilo first pressing O and then running
one of these combos:

Up + Triangle + O = Rip 'em good

CHAPTERS SECRETS.
Special Chapter:
TV Version
Complete the game on NORMAL difficulty, within 2 hours and less than 10 saves.
EX Chapter 3:
To open the secret chapter, complete the game with a grade 'A'.
To obtain a vote:
1) The game must be set to NORMAL in the Manga version (not TV Special).

2) you have to collect all the objects (including ampoules) HP (RED) and SP
(GREEN) in Chapter 1, plus you have to use very little HP cassette and use
vials only (not boxes) for the SP.

3) Use only two rescues (of Apocalypse Now say 0).

4) Do not use any continues (should be around 20, but vary depending on the
point in the game, set the difficulty and the way you play).

5) Finish the game within two hours:
a. Run whenever you can (in safe rooms and carpets) in Chapter 1.
b. Constantly run like Akira in Chapter 2.
c. Take the shortest path in each level.
d. Defeat the enemies as fast as possible (the demons are definitely weak
against combos and fatalities).
6) you have to save all the hostages:
a. To save the first group, knock out the demon in the walls. Do not forget to
go back and save the hostage G-2.
b. The second group is owned and have to knock him out with Akira in human form.
c. The third group must be saved in order, before the time indicated in the
clock expired (ration time to kill before the enemy if the timer allows). The
clock will reset every time you save a hostage.
d. The last hostage is Miki. To save you must defeat the final demon before

WALKTHROUGH Chapter 1

Floor 1:

Subjects: - HP tape

Well, select New Game and prebarati to RUN!
