I. Introduction [NTR]

This document is created as a guide for creating characters or as a
reference for playing the game. This document may help you a little
through the game, this document is not a walkthrough FAQ to help you
finish the game but only a guide to characters and some informations about
Blaze and Blade.

Warrior
-------
Male default name :Katran

Weapon type :Swords
Advantages :Shield, Strong offense / Defense, Slash Attack
Disadvantages :Can't block magic, no special skill
Comments:
Warriors are strong fighters and don't have magical attacks, They are good
at hand to hand combat. So, when you choose a Warrior, lower the INT and
POW distributions. Warrior's attack range can be lengthened by using the
slash attack (Read Section IV - In-Battle.).
Priest
------

Weapon type :Clubs / Wands
Advantages :Healing magics
Disadvantages :Weak defense, Magic is time consuming
Comments:
Priests can be very hard to play at start, but when you go on further, you
can play it a little easier. Priests can play major role in group because
he acts as the healer. Priests can be very useful in dungeons with undead,
Priest's magic is made for them. For character points distribution, you
may want to put some points to its AGL to have some initial defense points
at the start.
Rogue

Advantages :Running ability, Opens locked doors, Can safely
open treasure chests
Disadvantages :Short attack range, Recoils when it hit a wall
when running
Comments:
Rogues are easy to use because they can run and grab some experince gems,
they can avoid traps from treasure chests and unlock a door which often
contains valuable items. Lower their INT and POW for they don't use magic
attacks.
Sorcerer

Advantages :Strong magic attacks
Disadvantages :No special skills
Comments:
Sorcerers are also hard to use at first, they can cast strong magic spells
so put points to their INT and POW, remember also to put points on their
AGL for defense.
Hunter
------

Weapon type :Bows
Advantages :Use of Herbs, Can find secret paths, Long range,
Does'nt need a straight aim at the enemy
Disadvantages :Takes time to attack, Only good at forests
Comments:
Hunters are very useful. They can attack enemies without jumping at them
and don't need a perfect aim to hit, as long as you fire the arrow onto
the enemies' direction. They also store different kinds of healing herbs
to prevent damage and status effects. Put some points on their CON to have
an effective use of herbs.
Elf

Advantages :Magic, Can open sealed doors
Disadvantages :Magic is up to level 4 only
Comments:
Elf is the preferred character in this game, because they can cast magic
and can open sealed doors. They are a balanced fighter so, the
distribution of points should be balanced.
Dwarf

Weapon type :Axes
Advantages :Shield, Can destroy boulders
Disadvantages :Can't block magic, No Slash attack
Comments:
Dwarves are strong fighters, they can use shield and can crush an obstacle
in their way. They are good at close combat and have no magic spells so
put out some INT and POW points.
Fairy

Female default name :Zathia
Default speech :Childlike
Weapon type :Wands / Rods
Advantages :Status effect magics, Auto-Float, Mid range
Disadvantages :Weak defense
Comments:
Fairies are quite difficult at start for they have weak physical stats.
They can also be safe at melee combat because of their mid range attacks,
they can use status magics to enhance their stats or to make opponents
drop their skills. Higher its INT and DEF for a good stats at start.

III. Magic [MGC]

This section lists the magics of a Sorcerer, Priest, and a Fairy. The
magic spells of an Elf is also the same as the Sorcerer but, it only
reaches at level 4.
If you want to cast a spell manually, hold down the select button and
execute the command. Buttons that are together means they must be pressed
simultaneously.

IV. Herbs [HRB]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
This section lists the herbs hunters use. You can refill your herbs by
talking to the Herb Girl in the Roadside Inn. Herbs can be very tricky
when used in in-battle since they all work even if you don't have a
certain status effect so, be careful and get familiar with the herb
appearances.

V. Tips / Hints [TPS]

Creating Characters
-------------------
• Bonus Points
When choosing points for a character, don't be satisfied with 30 to 33
points. Try picking a new set of points until you receive a special bonus
points.
• Protective Elements
Choose a protective element that most monsters have, like Fire, Darkness
and Evil element. Choosing other elements are not that helpful because
very few monsters have these elements like Light and Holy. Normal elements
should be Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth.
Auction
-------
• Duplicate Items
Enter an auction and sell an armor or weapon. Save the character who
bought the item and reset the game. When you load the saved data, the
item is duplicated. Only weapons, armors, and accesories can only be
bought and it must be unequipped.
• Unidentified Items
You can not buy an armor, weapon, and accessories that are not identified.
In-Battle
---------
• Slash
The slash attack is only for warriors. To do this, simultaneously perss
the square (attack) and any direction on the D-pad. This move can also
be performed in the air.
• Resting
Characters that have low health can restore HP by pausing for a while.
The character's HP is regenerated depending on its constitution. The
higher the constitution, higher points are regenerated.
• Resting II
You can also regain your HP while battling with monsters. Just turn on the
analog button to activate your analog pad or unplug the controller from
the controller port. The game should pause with a message telling you to
insert the controllers. While the game is paused, you regain HP and MP.
This is very important in case you require HP while on battle. If you have
a status elements like poison, paralysis, and petrification, curse and
magic drain, it will still continue to take effect even when the game is
paused until the side effect is gone or you ran out of HP.
Magics
------
• Consuming MP
If you are using a character that uses magic, don't make it reach to 0,
your character will get stunned.
• Insufficient MP
If you cast magic but have you don't have the required MP, the magic will
not work.
Miscellaneous
-------------
• Getting Items
Opening a trasure chest makes a character display an 'OK' sign, it means
that the item or equipment can be used by that character. If there is no
'OK' sign, the item or equipment cannot be used by that character.
• Refill Hunter's Herbs
When a Hunter ran out of Herbs, Talk to the Herb Girl at the Roadside Inn.
She refills the Hunter's herbs.
• Inventory
The Inventory option lists identified items that you acquire so, save the
game when you have identified the items before you delete your unwanted
objects.
• Start Menu Screen
At the Start menu screen, you can also press the X and Square button
instead of the start button.
• Materials
When you add an element at your weapon, then you add its counter element,
the first material you added will be subtracted by the number of the
counter element you add.
• Counter Elements
Fire - Water Light - Darkness
Earth - Wind Holy - Evil
Wood Ruins
----------
• Finding Secret Paths
To find a secret paths, you must be a Hunter. Find an area which has a
straight line on the ground commonly near the trees, an ordinary wall of
trees has a jagged pixels on the ground or on their root, but if it is a
straight line, its a hidden path. Only hunters can enter this, if you do
this with other characters, it won't work.

Palace of the Immortals
-----------------------
• West Wing Hidden Room
There's a hidden room behind the save point in the West Wing area.
• Hidden Item
A hidden item is located in the pit near the chest containing "Blue Dragon
Key". You need to jump to get the item.
Old Palace
----------
• Shortcut to Dark Wizard
You can only do this if you have an elf. Before fighting with the Dark Elf
at the second time, there will be an option, choose the 2nd option. After
the battle, you'll receive a "Black Quartz Key". Go back to the place
where there is a sealed door (the opposite of this is a locked door), the
one near a portal. Open that door and go straight, there's a room in there
with a black chest. Open it and you'll receive a "Dark Elven Sigil" (if
you can't open it, you did'nt acquire the Black Quartz Key from Dark Elf).
This sigil is used to open the door ontop where you fought Dark Elf, a
portal on the end leads to another portal that leads to Dark Wizard. With
this path, you don't need to go to the 'Crystal Maze' and put the crystals
one by one.
• Hidden Room
After you fought Dark Wizard, face to the north and jump to the wall,
you'll enter a hidden room.
Ruins in the Lake
-----------------
• Collapsing Pillars
Don't walk near a stone pillars because it will fall. Stone pillars are
very slow when falling so you have time to run from it.
• Four Treasure Chests
These four treasure chests are located in four sides of the Ruins' map.
Those chests will only appear if you defeated Kraken.
Valley of White Silver
----------------------
• Griffon
When fighting with Griffon, don't kill him with his back near the edge.
His experience gem or drop item will fall.
Ancient Ruins
-------------
• Treasure Rooms
Go straight toward the giant pit and stop when you're near the edge.
You'll see another layer of ground, try to get there. On the east, there
are two pillars, the jump on the wall at the back of the south-eastern
pillar and you'll enter a secret room. The other one is at the back of the
south-western pillar.
• Defeat Doppelganger
Before entering the door leading to the boss Doppelganger, unequip your
items and enter the door. When the battle starts, equip your items back.
The Doppelganger is a complete copy of your character. With this, you can
defeat them easily. Doppelgangers can't use magics.
Mountain of the Fire Dragon
---------------------------
• Shortcut to Fire Dragon
Enter the first door and face to the North, there are floating platforms
that leads to the Fire Dragon.
