_______________________________________________________________________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Controls are simplistic since this is a point-and-clicker. The on-screen icon
determines available actions.

|¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯|¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯|
| Arrow  | General icon (when moving camera around)                         |
| Fist   | Selected item/area can be taken or used                          |
| Finger | Movement in the directed area is allowed                         |
| Swirl  | Gives historical info on selected area (has no gameplay purpose) |
|________|__________________________________________________________________|

For normal Playstation controls, X-button is the "operate" key and O-button
brings up the menu. L1/R1 slowly rotate the camera, which is helpful, as the
normal movement icon can be quite sensitive, resulting in inaccuracy. Other
buttons are of no importance.

Additionally, base controls can't be changed. However, players who have a PS1
mouse can use that peripheral to perhaps have more enjoyment.

II. WALKTHROUGH                                                          [WLKT]
_______________________________________________________________________________
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
The game begins with the protagonist ("Little Serpent") witnessing a guard
committing murder. He's soon blamed for the crime and flees. Days later, he
returns to his hometown. Default inventory: Blowpipe, Bag of Cocoa (14), and
Necklace of the Murdered Nobleman.

1) THE VILLAGE, ATOYAC
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
• Advance one screen into town
• Speak with Quilaztli, the doctor (automatic)
• Approach house with the red-framed doorway -- Little Serpent's home
• Take the Digging Stick leaning against the exterior
• Enter house
• Turn to the right and approach cluttered corner of living space
• Open floor basket and take the Cocoa Beans (×10)
• Exit house

Quilaztli's clinic is the nearby house with a blue-framed door.

• Speak to Quilaztli in the back area of his house
• Inspect the female statue nearby
• Take the Incense from within the statue
• Select Incense from the inventory and give it to Quilaztli
• Exit the clinic

The murderous Otomi soldier from the intro will confront Little Serpent in an
exchange. The only option here is fleeing, though the segment isn't timed.

• Advance down street past clinic (×5) toward waterfront
• Hop onto a nearby boat
• Advance into the plantation canal (×4)
• Advance further into the canal (×3)
• Backtrack (×3) and disembark at the dock
• Advance (×2) on dry land to board new boat
• Advance (×2) to reach world map screen

A few areas are available, but it's Tlatelolco -- the home where the poet
Tlatli lives -- that is the real destination.

2) MERCHANTS' QUARTER OF TLATELOLCO
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
This place is bigger than the last village, but doesn't need to be explored
fully now. Be careful about venturing too far across the stream bridge, as a
guard near will spearhead (literally!) Little Serpent's demise. Some of the
locals can be questioned about the poet, though it's not necessary to find
his residence.

• Advance towards house with blue doorframe (×2)
• Turn and Tlatli's house, which has a yellow doorframe
• Enter the back room for an FMV with the filth-eating priest
• Go through dialogue options with priest
• Pay him his fee (5 beans) to get the "Necklace of the Murdered Poet"

Once paid, the filth-eater leaves upon exiting his screen. The next two bullet
points below are currently optional.

• Inspect floor rug (in screen where one talked to priest)
• Take the "Jewel Found at the Poet's House" underneath
• Take the Blood-stained Parchment from a nearby floor mat (has barrel on it)
• Talk to Bird, the poet's slave, on the other side of the house
• Try exiting house to find soldiers are guarding it
• Return to backyard near Bird and face the canal entrance
• When a boatman passes by, quickly inspect him to escape the poet's house

Players will now be on the other side of town and can work their way back to
the quarter's entrance. Those who want to save some backtracking for later
can visit the red-roofed marketplace (near entrance) and purchase the items
listed below. The woman just inside has the first two dyes; the last two are
by the guy in the back.

• Purchase the Light Blue Dye (3 beans)
• Purchase the Yellow Dye (3 beans)
• Purchase the Dark Blye Dye (3 beans)
• Purchase the Red Dye (3 beans)

3) CRAFTSMEN'S QUARTER
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
• Advance towards town well
• Go through Chimalli's dialogue options (mandatory)
• Advance further into town (×2)
• Speak to Turquoise
• Show her the "Jewel Found at the Poet's House"
• Go through her dialogue options to get the "Poem Given by Turquoise"

Turquoise speaks of a feather dresser, Chacoatl, who was Tlatli's friend. He
may know more.

• Reenter the district after the sunset FMV
• Enter Chacoatl's house (right side of temple square)
• Speak to Chacoatl's slave
• Pay two cocoa beans when asked
• Talk with Chacoatl in backyard
• Show him the Blood-stained Parchment (poet's necklace removed from items)

Chacoatl suggests seeking the aid of Tlilpotonqui ("Woman Serpent"), a prince
and lord. A plan is hatched to meet him by delivering a feather shield he
commissioned. However, it's currently incomplete. As mentioned in the last
section, purchasing certain dyes from the Tlatelolco marketplace is needed.

• Purchase the Light Blue Dye (3 beans)
• Purchase the Yellow Dye (3 beans)
• Purchase the Dark Blye Dye (3 beans)
• Purchase the Red Dye (3 beans)

When all are collected, inspect the feather shield in the backyard's corner.

| PUZZLE 1: FEATHER SHIELD | http://i.imgur.com/CPLauGy.png |
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
The goal is to dip the cotton (in red bowl) into dyes, then place them on
the shield's incomplete portions. First, set the inventory dyes into the
silver, rectangular holder, then proceed to finish the artist's original
design. Don't forget to set the feathers as well. Since there's no green
dye, use a pre-dyed feather for that. The finished product'll look like
the above image.
___________________________________________________________________________

If done correctly, the game will exit the feather shield screen automatically.
If the design is wonky somehow, talk to Chacoatl and he'll give a "clue" by
arranging some elements correctly.

Either way, speak to that helper when done to learn the next destination is
the palace at Tenochtitlan. The "Shield of Feathers" is in the inventory now.
Speak with Chimalli outside the house, then return to the world map.

4) TENOCHTITLÁN SQUARE
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
• Advance up the main street (×2)
• When the beggar asks for money, agree to earn the Gold Bracelet
• Advance (×2) towards the guarded main street staircase nearby
• Speak to the nearby guard

Entrance to the palace is forbidden no matter what dialogue option's chosen.

• Backtrack one screen, then move alongside the canal
• Talk to the boatman and pay his fare (2 beans)

He'll ferry Little Serpent to the dock where provincial taxes are collected.
Approach the tax collector (Qualpixque) standing nearby to be dragged into
his problem: sorting the offerings. Refusal isn't an option...
 _____________________________________
PUZZLE 2: TAXATION & REPRESENTATION
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
The offerings must be sorted so that Tenochtitlan gets half the taxes'
total worth; the other two provinces get a quarter. Jaguar pelts, cotton
bales, and bags of shells are worth 100, 20, and 1 apiece, respectively.
The solution is simple math -- divide the 885 beans worth of loot evenly,
or as much as possible. Tenochtitlan gets 442; the others get 221. A bag
of shells will be left over.
___________________________________________________________________________

For the help, Little Serpent gets to keep the spare bag of shells, worth 25
beans. (Players will have run quite low by this point, no?) The palace can be
entered via the docks, and leads to a courtyard with various NPCs around. To
find Woman Serpent's chambers, after entering the area, turn to the right and
advance, then turn to the right again and move toward the nearest entryway.

• Speak to guard about the "precious object"
• Show him the Shield of Feathers
• Advance into the room (×2) toward Woman Serpent
• Speak to the lord using all dialogue options (Bag of Amaranth is earned)

After the cutscene, Little Serpent is in the basement.

• Locate, and take, the Knife hidden in the cell's straw bedding
• Cut the cell door's ropes (×2) at the prompted locations
• Exit the cage
• Move toward the other cells for an automatic scene

Little Serpent learns that a secret is buried at the feet of a Xochiquetzal
statue in his house. One of the guards by the entrance is gone now.

• Approach cellblock exit
• Use the blowpipe on the jaguar cage (visible through doorway)
• Enter the courtyard and escape to the other side
• Talk to Woman Serpent's scribe past the stairway (Magic Rattle obtained)

Past the scribe, Little Serpent is back on the docks. Reenter the palace and
approach Woman Serpent's room again, only this time, take the right-hand hall
around to the back door (guarded by a jaguar knight). Show the new rattle to
gain entrance.

Speaking with Woman Serpent gives a proposal: find the cause of the "great
evil" in the land and the captured parents get a reprieve.

5) THE VILLAGE, ATOYAC [II]
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
• Approach Little Serpent's house
• Take the Digging Stick leaning against exterior (if not done already)
• Enter said dwelling and visit the backyard
• Approach the shed by the steam bath
• Using the Digging Stick, dig (×2) below the Xochiquetzal statue
• Take the unearthed "Treasure"
• Exit town

6) CRAFTSMEN'S QUARTER [II]
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
• Speak to Chimalli by the temple
• Speak to Chacoatl's slave to learn his master's already left
• Ask Turquoise about "Green Serpent, Seven Flint" clue
• Advance (×2) past Turquoise to find the jeweler, Seven Flint

Seven Flint won't help do anything without being given a faggot of wood. This
can be purchased from any wood seller in any town, although the nearest one
is the screen between Turquoise and Chimalli. (Cost is two beans)

• Give wood to Seven Flint
• Show "Necklace of the Murdered Nobleman" to Seven Flint

Seven Flint reveals another man with the same name lives in Tlatelolco -- a
vital clue.

7) MERCHANTS' QUARTER OF TLATELOLCO [II]
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
There's no clue to where Seven Flint lives, but canvasing the area reveals
the merchant lives on the other side of the canal, i.e. left of the entrance
area. Those who want to save some time can purchase octli alcohol at the
marketplace (5 beans) as soon as possible.

• Cross the canal bridge
• Advance (×2) toward the guarded palace
• Approach NPC standing nearby for automatic conversation

Seven Flint's location will be revealed: a white house at the nearby dead end,
literally one screen away.

• Enter Seven Flint's house
• Advance (×4) into back storehouse
• Approach storehouse's back wall
• Use the Knife on the part of the wall that can be inspected (by red mural)
• Try stealing the necklace inside
• After speaking with Seven Flint, give him the "Treasure" mask
• Exit storehouse
• When Mountain Head appears, inspect the snake basket

Our protagonist flees to the world map. However, the lead on Three Rabbit, a
local lord, still needs to be followed up on.

• Reenter the merchants' quarter
• Talk to the friendly NPC from earlier

He reveals an older slave knows Three Rabbit's schedule. He lives behind the
palace (three screens away).

• Speak with old slave
• Give gourd of octli alcohol to him

The old-timer won't give any information without playing patolli. Players bet
1 cocoa bean per game and Little Serpent must win twice consecutively to move
the plot forward. (To play, one rolls "dice" on the east side of the playing
mat.)
 ___________________
PUZZLE 3: PATOLLI
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Patolli's ancient checkers played on a gameboard like two racetracks. The
goal is to get all pawns onto the board, then do a lap a circuit, getting
them back off the board. The two "racetracks" intersect in the middle. If
one lands on an enemy piece, it's knocked off the board, giving a large
advantage. (In other words, try not to move pieces into the intersection
if possible, or at least do it when no pawns can land on it. Pieces can't
go backwards or land on their own friendly pieces.) Try to get as many
pawns into play as soon as possible to both start their laps going and to
maximize the opportunities in knocking enemy pawns off.
___________________________________________________________________________

The strategy of keeping the fourth pawn at the beginning of the intersection
to knock off pieces is often done by the opponent. Also remember to be mindful
about bunching up pawns, as the rounded part of the game board counts as two
spaces, and can't be stopped on. (In other words, rolling a 1 won't get past
it.)

After winning the annoying minigame, the slave reveals Three Rabbit often
visits the Tezcatlipoca temple at the Center of Ceremonies. Explorers may
remember that area at Tenochtitlan Square. Ignore it for now, though.

9) CRAFTSMEN'S QUARTER [III]
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
• Return to Chimalli
• Talk with him about Three Rabbit (may require reinitiating conversation)

He reveals Turquoise may be able to get him into the Center of Ceremonies.
She's currently at a school in Tlatelolco.

10) MERCHANTS' QUARTER OF TLATELOLCO [III]
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
The calmecac where Turquoise resides is near the entrance. She should be
visible in its front yard from the marketplace's (exterior) entrance. Speak
with her to obtain a Drum meant for "Flower of Stone," a poetess.

11) TENOCHTITLÁN SQUARE [II]
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
• Advance (×5) up the main street
• Show the Drum to the guard
• Move past the guard to enter the Center grounds

I'll make a map for this area since it can be rather confusing. The paths
shown are made up of natural impediments and guarded pathways.

                                |_   _______|
                                  |A|

To begin, make it to Papatzin's location for a conversation. Next, make it to
the first priest's location. (He gives directions if asked.) This area's also
important due to the guard behind him -- depending on exploration, he may
move, giving ingress on that previously guarded street. If he doesn't, walk
around that temple and enter from the north. Reaching the House of Song'll be
a cakewalk by that time. Flower of Stone is in the basement chamber.

• Speak with the poetess
• Give her the Drum
• Show her the "Poem Given by Turquoise"
• Exit the building and visit the Annex
• Show the guard the "Necklace of the Murdered Nobleman"

The guard will kill Little Serpent if he tries blabbing about Three Rabbit,
however, so don't do that.

• Enter the annex
• Approach the nearby guard
• Solve his 1st riddle (an eye)
• Solve his 2nd riddle (a nose)
• Solve his 3rd riddle (a mouth)

The body parts reference the conversation the patolli-playing slave gave
earlier, remember. Answering incorrectly forces a do-over, but no instant
death this time.

• Advance past the riddler
• In the next room, move into the corner instead of approaching duo directly
• Eavesdrop on the Papatzin and Three Rabbit
• When they leave move to the open area where they were standing
• Approach nearby wall
• Take the Obsidian Mirror (black spot) on the altar
• Take the Stele (red box) sitting on floor beside altar
• Use Stele on the designated space below altar's Tezcatlipoca statue
• Move statue

Note that moving the statue without placing relocating the box causes it to
fall off and shatter, alerting the guards. Bloodthirsty guards.

• Take the Gourd of Poison underneath the statue
• Return to annex vestibule area (learn that the scheming duo is around)
• Use Obsidian Mirror when the arrow icon becomes a fist
• Exit the annex
• Revisit the poetess at the House of Song

Doing this will likely require going around the temple structure with a blue
foundation. The document hasn't been translated yet, but she refers Little
Serpent to her friend Ayocuan at the palace. Presenting him a yucca elefantis
flower (also found at palace) will be a sign of trustworthiness.

Exit the Center of Ceremonies grounds for an automatic convo with Chimalli.
He mentions that Woman Serpent is out of town, preventing any updates on his
end. (Not that it matters, since any optional backtracking to him up to this
point is fruitless.) However, we still have to enter the palace -- there's a
method for doing this.

• Return to the area where the fisherman first gave Little Serpent a ride
• Advance (×3) further past there, toward the palace exterior
• At the wooden gate, use the Knife to cut the wall rope (lowers bridge)
• Advance again to find an eagle knight
• Show him the Magic Rattle, then enter passage he's guarding

This will eventually lead back to the palace courtyard, near where Woman
Serpent was first visited.

• Speak to the poet in the garden area
• Move one screen away (towards guard) for internal musings
• Approach white-colored flowers in the planter
• Look up at the tree's white bloom
• Move closer and take the yucca Flower
• Present the Flower to the poet (receive "Poem Given by Ayocuan")

He notes one of the Tlatli's letters mentioned a tzompantli (wall of skulls)
in the Center of Ceremonies, and suggests going back to the poetess for more
help. However, passing through the front gate is impossible for now.

• Enter the construction site to the right of the Center's main gate
• Pick up the Torch on the ground (spin around a bit to find it)
• Use Torch on the burning brazier to light it
• Enter the construction site's dark sewer
• Advance (×2)
• Enter left-hand passageway
• At the dead end, turn clockwise and use wall button near a torch

Little Serpent will emerge a ways past the Center of Ceremonies' main gate.

• Advance (×2) like normal, until stopped by a random priest
• Show him the Magic Rattle -- it'll be confiscated

Players can return to the House of Song poetess (and present Ayocuan's poem),
but it's not truly necessary.

• Pick up the Ladder leaning against a building (see previous map for where)
• Approach the tzompantli's broad face
• Use ladder on high-up spot where fist icon appears

Our intrepid protagonist will climb to the top.
 ______________________
PUZZLE 4: SKULL WALL
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
The solution to the puzzle is to stack all columns in the same order as
the leftmost three: upright, left-leaning, right-leaning, upside-down. If
done right, players can move the last bone on the rightmost stick to get
the "Poem Found on the Wall of Skulls" underneath. The puzzle is annoying
but doable -- it may require moving items out of place to get underneath
pieces, then restacking. It may be easier to start placing the correct
foundations as soon as possible, while also completing the stacks in any
order.
___________________________________________________________________________

Leaving the wall at any time (hand icon on screen periphery) exits the wall
and resets the puzzle. Make sure not to do it accidentally when moving the
body parts!

• Return to Cuicani at the House of Song
• Show her the "Poem Found on the Wall of Skulls"
• View both poem halves (in inventory) and align them correctly

To do this, inspect any poem half with the inventory "eye" icon. Then, without
leaving the screen, select the other half. There'll be some overlap, but it'll
be obvious what goes where -- just look for the small red circles that match.
Exit the screen when they're properly connected to get the "Combination of
Poems".

• Show Cuicani the "Combination of Poems" for a clue
• Exit building
• Visit the tlatchtli pitch alongside the wall of skulls (left side)
• Try approaching right-side hoop

The nobleman baller will forbid any searching unless Little Serpent can put
the ball in the hoop within six tries. Refusal ain't an option.
 _____________________
PUZZLE 5: TLATCHTLI
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Pick up the ball near the nobleman and approach the hoop as close as one
can go. Try a few times to make the basket. Little Serpent always misses
if shot from farther away. (Becoming a slave is a game over, naturally.)
___________________________________________________________________________

The guard details will have changed again, offering a shortcut right near the
tzompantli. Hooray!

• Speak with Cuicani at the House of Song yet again
• Return to the building's main hall
• Move to the left-hand side where all the murals are
• Inspect the "Three House" mural
• Inspect the "Five Serpent" mural
• Inform Cuicani of the findings

She divines the poisoned spring to be Chapultepec's. The next area starts
automatically after the sunset FMV.

12) SOURCE OF CHAPULTEPEC
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
• Advance towards, then along, the rocky cliffs (×3)
• Speak with the mouthy guard
• Pretend to be one of Three Rabbit's hunters (other option = game over)

He requires a test of prowess to let Little Serpent through -- shooting two
songbirds in the previous area. To do this, backtrack a couple screens to the
starting point. One bird spawns in the hilltop tree; another in a tree two
screens from the starting point (where world map access would normally be
given). Blowpipe 'em and retrieve their bodies -- this usually requires a
small search of the encircling road. (Those having trouble finding the birds
should watch the trees carefully for the flapping animations. If there isn't
one, circle around and try again.)

• Return to the mouthy guard
• Present the "Two Birds Shot Down and Killed"
• Advance (×2) past the guard for a small FMV
• Approach, then speak with, the storage shack guard
• Move toward the parrot cage hanging off shack's side
• Take a Jar sitting nearby
• Talk to guard again to learn about a password
• Approach parrot cage again
• Feed it with the Bag of Amaranth to learn the password

Laughably, trying to feed it wrong items may have it call the guards.

• Talk to the guard yet again
• Choose "in topco petlacalco" (other options = game over)
• Advance (×2) into the storage cave
• Take the Stick leaning against the wooden beams
• Move to back of the cave
• Use the Stick to break a pottery jar
• Exit cave for a Mountain Head scene
• Advance (×2) down available footpath
• Pick "I cannot poison my own people" option (other choice = game over)
• Enter the aqueduct

13) THE VILLAGE, ATOYAC [III]
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
All items other than the Knife, Bag of Cocoa and Gold Bracelet are gone now.

• Speak to Quilaztli
• Advance to the town waterfront and move into the irrigation canal
• Disembark near the central house like before
• Approach the house
• Pick the orange Medicinal Herbs growing along the fence (using the Knife)
• Deliver them to Quilaztli
• Take Antidote from entryway room (gourd sitting on floor)

14) TENOCHTITLÁN SQUARE [III]
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Time to see Woman Serpent. Without a Magic Rattle, use the very first method
to infiltrate the palace: paying the fisherman to reach the docks. There'll
be an automatic scene with Woman Serpent's helpful scribe en route.

• From the docks, advance inside (×3)
• Before the stairs, turn left to spot the odd brown-colored wall section
• Use the knife on that section

Note that the normal fist icon doesn't appear until the knife's equipped, so
this can throw players for a loop. The secret passage leads to the courtyard.

• Speak to Ayocuan in the garden
• Pick the "Might you be on the side..." option
• Enter Woman Serpent's room through the front door (guard is preoccupied)
• Locate where Woman Serpent is resting in a corner bed
• Use Antidote on him

Enjoy the ending FMVs!

[Q] - Is this game worth seeking out?
[A] - It's not a stone-cold classic like Myst, but it has a certain charm to
it and isn't overly difficult. Some parts, like playing patolli, aren't
      amazingly enjoyable, though.

[Q] - Can I play this on an NTSC console?
[A] - No. Original Playstations are region-locked, so you'll need a PAL PS1,
a modded NTSC PS1, or an NTSC PS1 that can fudge the rules with a
      third-party peripheral (usually a "Swap Magic"-style disc).

[Q] - Does looking at the informative parts (houses, items) do anything?
[A] - No, learning more about Aztec culture has little significant value in
terms of gameplay. It's more of an edutainment aspect.

[Q] - How do I enter the palace's secret passage near the game's end?
[A] - In the hallway between the docks and courtyard, there's a section of
the wall that's brown-colored. Use the knife on it to move through; it
can't be done without brandishing that item.
