Solution to the Secret of Monkey Island

Part One, The Three Trials
--------------------------
Enter the kitchen when the cook walks left to serve the pirates.
Get the fish by stepping on the loose board in the lower right corner.
In the circus, accept the job and use the pot as a helmet.
Buy a map from the citizen, and a sword and shovel in the shop.
Take the chicken, and a look on it, in the voodoo house.
Talk to the prisoner, then get him a breath mint at the shop.
Ask the shopkeeper about the SwordMaster, then follow him
Take the yellow petal in the forest.
Your map gives the directions (left, right, back) to the treasure.
The troll wants nothing but a Red Herring.
Get some training at the house at the end of Mˆle‚ Island.
Say you DO have what it takes thrice, then he will train you.
Now stand on the path and challenge all pirates. Keep track of the insults.
Keep fighting until you're told to fight the SwordMaster.
Use the yellow petal on the meat, then give the meat to the piranha poodles.
Give Otis the gopher repellant, open his cake and return to the mansion.
Take the Idol under water. If you wait ten minutes, you'll die.
Take all the mugs in the Scumm bar, then fill one with grog in the kitchen.
If the mug is near death, use it on another mug.
Free Otis by melting the lock with the grog.
Show your note about the governor to the SwordMaster.
Use the chicken to cross the river to Meathook's and show him the note, too.
Ask Stan the Ships Salesman if he takes credit.
Ask the Shopkeeper for credit, then send him back to the SwordMaster.
Open the safe the way he did it and buy a ship at Stan's.
Keep trying until he asks only 5000 PoE for it, then go to the dock.
Part Two, The Journey

Search the captain's hut, go up the rope ladder and down the hatch.
Take everything you find with you. Open all casks in the hold.
Open the cereal, then use the toy prize in the cupboard in the captain's hut.
Use Jolly Roger, ink, fine wine, rubber chicken, cereal, cinnamon sticks
breath mints and gunpowder on cooking pot, use map on red hot fire
Take some more gunpowder and use it in the cannon nozzle.
Use the giant piece of rope on the cannon and use the pot.
Part Three, Under Monkey Island

Take the banana. Enter the jungle and head for the fort on the left.
Pull the cannon and take everything you find.
Go to the river fork and go up.
Pull the strange object twice, then go up and push the rock down on it.
Continue pulling and pushing until you hit the banana tree. Take the bananas.
Blow up the dam with the gunpowder, using the spyglass.
Take the rope from the body at the pond.
Use both ropes to climb down into the chasm and take the oars.
Row around the island and walk to the village. Take the bananas.
The exit is under the loose board under the skull.
Give all bananas to the monkey in the jungle all the way south.
Walk to the clearing east of the island, pull the nose and go to the Head.
Take the idol and give it to the cannibals.
Take the banana picker and give it back to Herman.
Use the monkey head key in the monkey ear.
The villagers have a head to show you the way in the Monkey Head.
Exchange the leaflet for the head, use it inside the Head.
Beg the head for its necklace, then wear it yourself.
Use your compass to get the ghost key in the ghost LeChuck's hut.
Use the ghost feather to get the ghost grog from the ghost crew.
Give the ghost grog to the ghost rat to be able to get the ghost grease.
Use the ghost grease to un-squeak the ghost door and get the ghost tools.
Use the ghost tools on the ghost crate to get the anti-ghost voodoo root.
Return the root to the cannibals and the seltzer to the ghosts.
Last Part, Guybrush Kicks Butt
------------------------------
This part is very easy. Just talk to everybody and you'll be able to pass.
Use your seltzer on any ghost who bothers you.
Take the root beer at Stan's and use it on LeChuck.
Congratulations, you have won (now wasn't that easy?)
