Introduction
===========================================================================
Hello boys and girls;
Welcome to my favorite episode in the Space Quest series, Space Quest V.
Why is this my favorite?
Well, this is one of the few episodes that really focusses on Space Travel
and you got a good interaction with other characters, making the story a
lot fancier.
The downside is (alas) the copy protection. The copy-protection shows once
you become captain of your own (garbage) ship and when you order your
navigation/amory guy (Droole) to lay in a course. He'll ask for
coordinates. These coordinates were back in the day given in a magazine you
received when you bought the game. If you obtain a legal copy now, you
should have gotten a list of coordinates. Unless you can help me verify
these codes can be freely given out, I can (alas) not put them in this FAQ.
The game should work well in both DosBOX and ScummVM.
If you wish to obtain the game, I bet there are a lot of abandonware sites
you can download the game from, I don't care if you do, however, despite
what those sites claim this is not legal. I needed to point that out.
If you can give me any adress where this game can be obtained legally,
lemme know and I'll note it in this FAQ (since I got the game back when it
was still new).
I need to note, as is common for Sierra games, there are tons of ways in
which you can die. And you do not only have to watch out for your own life,
but that of your future wife, Beatrice Wankmeister, as well. Remember, your
future son of which she is the mother, saved your butt back in Space Quest
IV, so if Beatrice dies, she could not give birth to your son, and thus a
time paradox will happen, and blah, blah, blah (see the death section).
So I advice you to save alot.
I deem it technically possible to render the game impossible to beat,
however, the game is written in a way that does not make it easy to mess it
up so bad, but you are warned. :)

===========================================================================
Cast of characters
===========================================================================
*:> Roger Wilco
Our hero. Always a janitor, but now he's aiming to become a become a
true space captain at StarCon. And he becomes ones (by cheating) of his
own GARBAGE SCOW, the Eureka.
*:> Beatrice Wankmeister
As we know from Space Quest IV, she is Roger's future wife and the
mother of his future son. Beatrice is ambassador for StarCon and she is
an activist in keeping the universe clean for, what she calls "sludge"
bandits. She appears to be hardly taken seriously and Quirk tries to
secude her sexually (in which he miserably fails, though he doesn't
realize it).
*:> Reams T. Quick
Captain of The Goliath. He also dislikes Roger and this becomes even
worse when he detects a romance coming up between Roger and Beatrice.
This guy is gonna make your life hell.
*:> Flo
The communications officer on the Eureka. She appears to have married
and divorced 18 husbands already, and she becomes quite jealous when
she detects the romance between Roger and Beatrice.
*:> Droole
The navigation and arms specialist on the Eureka. He likes to shoot
things (which got him demoted to the Eureka) and has a sarcastic way to
view things.
*:> WD-40
A female terminator, sent after you to kill Roger after the male
terminator failed back in Space Quest III. Once defeated Cliffy will
repair and reprogram her and she becomes a member of Roger's crew.
*:> Cliffy
Chief engineer of the Eureka. He loves the ship even though it's just
a garbage scow. Though Cliffy seems a bit clumsy and easy going, you
will need his services bad to finish the game.
*:> Spike
A pet you'll gain during this adventure. It can produce acid, and
you're going to need that.
WLK0000000000
===========================================================================
StarCon Academy
===========================================================================
*:> Corridor
= Exit South x3
*:> Hit the door
*:> Classroom
Now you gotta answer your test, work this way. Look outside the test,
then take a look at the pupil on the left of the screen and you'll get
all correct answers. Do that with all questions and you'll do fine.
Be aware though, a robot makes a surveillance and if he sees you
spying on the other students you'll be expelled from the academy and
that counts as death.
Also, some questions contain hints for later in the game, so yo may
want to remember them.
You do score points the first time you sneak an answer. If you don't
wish to sneak the others, all answers are in the Test Answer section of
this FAQ.
*:> Corridor
= Exit South
*:> = Hit the most southern door
= Pick up the scrub-o-matic (the strange red thing)
= Pick up the Safey cones
= Exit South
*:> Exit East
*:> Great Hall - Upper area
= The "ring" is an elevator, step onto it to go down
*:> Great Hall - Bottom
= Place the safety cones on the floor
= Place the scrub-o-matic on the floor
= Open it
= Mount that thing
= Now you need to go over the logo until it shines, not a single pixel
may remain dirty.
If you did this well you'll meet Quirk who tries to flirt with
Beatrice (and miserably fails), but Beatrice appears to be interested
in you. Well I won't spoil what happens next.
You get control over the game again, once both Quirk and Beatrice
leave.
= Leave the room in any direction
*:> Great Hall - Upper area
= If you see an alien as a guard exit north (if you see a human guard,
skip this)
= Exit West
Now you'll have a cutscene with a strange creature in the computer and
a meeting with Beatrice. Just sit it out until you get control over the
game again.
*:> Corridor
= Exit South
*:> Check out the board where all the students are.
Well, you will now be transferred to the Eureka (another joke by Quirk).
You'll meet Droole and Flo here.
You cannot return to StarCon any more, ever, but luckily there where not
missbale actions or items required before coming to this point.
*:> Eureka - Bridge
= Exit the bridge
*:> Eureka - Corridor
Here you'll meet Cliffy.
= Check out the toolbox
= Take the laser gun
= Take the pills
= Take the fuse
= Take the punch hole
(you may need to move some items to find all these)
= Clean up the toolbox (handy icon)
= Press the red button
= Stand on the elevator
*:> Eurea - Airlock
= Open the closet next to the spacesuits to get a mask
= Go to the console
= Select "Elevator Door"
= Ente the elevator
*:> Eureka - Corridor
= Go to the bridge
*:> Eureka - Bridge
= Sit in your chair
= Order Flo to hail StarCon and she'll tell you, you got to go to
Peeyu, Gangularis and Kiz Urazgubi. You can do these three in random
order. But for this FAQ I'll use the same order as I just noted now.
= Order Droole to lay in a course for Peeyu
= Order Droole to go to lits speed
You will see a cut-scene of the female terminator. You'll get to deal
with her later.
WLK0000000001
===========================================================================
Peeyu
===========================================================================
*:> Eureka - Bridge
= When Droole says you are approaching the destination order him to go
to Regular Speed
= When Flo says she detects some waste order Droole to activate the RRS
Flo will intercept a message between "Maggot" and "Dung Heap".
Remember this, as this message will be important later in the story.
= Optionally you can talk to Flo and Droole to ask them about their
opinions on this intercepted message but they both know more than you
do.
= Order Droole to lay in a course for Gangularis and go Lite Speed
WLK0000000002
===========================================================================
Gangularis
===========================================================================
*:> Eureka - Bridge
= When Droole says you are approaching the destination order him to go
to Regular Speed
= When Flo says she detects some waste order Droole to activate the RRS
Now Flo will tell you she detects a life form in the trash
compartment. (Don't try to leave the region of this planet or you will
die).
= Stand up and go to the corridor.
*:> Eureka - Corridor
= Open the waste compartment
= After Spike went away exit west
*:> Eureka - Engeneering
= Leave engineering and come back
= Walk around here and Spike will jump on you
= Open the red cylinder to the east
= Put Spike in it
= Put the pills in the cylinder and this will calm Spike down
= Go back to the bridge
*:> Eureka - Bridge
= Order Droole to lay in a course for Kiz Urazgubi
WLK0000000003
===========================================================================
Kiz Urazgubi
===========================================================================
*:> Eureka - Bridge
Upon your arrival at Kiz Urazgubi, WD-40, a female terminator will
shoot at your ship and force you into orbit of the planet.
If you try to leave or do not beam down on time, your ship will be
destroyed.
= Go to engineering
*:> Eureka - Engineering
= Stand on the transporter
= Click on the transporter pad with the "order" icon and you'll beam
down to the surface.
*:> Kiz Urazgubi - Pond
I recommend you to save upon your arrival. Any wrong move and WD-40
will get to you and kill you, so this goes quite precize
= Go behind the waterfall and there's a passage behind it, hit it.
*:> Kiz Urazgubi - 2 caves
= Exit East
*:> Kiz Urazgubi - Log bridge
= Get onto the tree, and you'll fall down. That is supposed to happen
don't worry.
*:> Kiz Urazgubi - Pond
= Pick up the stick
= Hit the passage behind the waterfall
*:> Kiz Urazgubi - 2 caves
= Hit the western cave
*:> Kiz Urazgubi - Waterfall Caves
= Hit the western cave
WD-40 will come after you, if you go back into the cave now right
away, you'll be killed.
= Jump to the other cave (don't enter the cave)
= Climb to the small rock on top of the hill you're on.
= Use the stick on the rock
You won the first round against WD-40, but you haven't won yet.
= Go back down and jump to the other side
= Enter the cave
= And hit the cave behind the waterfall
*:> Kiz Urazgubi - 2 Caves
= East
*:> Kiz Urazgubi - Log Bridge
= Crawl through the log bridge to the east side
= Use the stick on the bananas hanging here
= Try to get one
= Make your way back to the west side through the log bridge
= Exit West
*:> Kiz Urazgubi - 2 caves
= Enter the eastern cave
*:> Kiz Urazgubi - Pond
You'll see WD-40 get out of the water. She cannot become invisible
anymore, but that doesn't make her any less dangerous
= Go back to the Log Bridge
*:> Kiz Urazgubi - Log Bridge
= Go into the log bridge
= When WD40 lands on the bridge put the banana in her back (if you wait
too long, she'll leave. If that happens, just get out of the log and
crawl back in and she'll appear again).
= Get out west
= Pick up WD-40's head
= Go back to the pond where you started since you beamed down and
Cliffy will sent you back to the Eureka.
*:> Eureka - Engineering
Safely back on board your ship, but you are not done here yet.
= Leave the room (the game will note you heard Cliffy beam back on
board) and come back here.
= Stand on the transporter room and beam back down
*:> Kiz Urazgubi - WD-40's ship
= Go to the edge of this mountain (and you'll find out the ship is
really here. Only cloaked).
= Use the strange object you just got from Cliffy to open the ship
= Stand on the elevator pad to enter
*:> Inside WD-40's ship
= Examine the hatch to the eat
Now after your first action and countdown will start, and if the time
runs out you'll be dead, so be quick
= Open the top latch.
= Open the bottom latch.
= Turn the upper left dial.
= Turn the lower right dial.
= Open the upper left panel.
= Open the lower right panel.
= Turn the lower left dial.
= Turn the upper right dial.
= Open the upper right panel.
= Open the lower left panel.
= Get the cloaking device
= Now stand on the elevator and you'll automatically end up on the
Eureka
*:> Eureka - Engineering
= Now go to the bridge
*:> Eureka - Bridge
= Order Droole to lay in a course for the Space Bar.
= Once you get here order him for Standard Orbit
WLK0000000004
===========================================================================
Spacebar
===========================================================================
*:> Eureka - Bridge
Upon your arrival Flo and Droole will run away, meaning you cannot
leave here until this part has been completed.
= Go to the Engineering room
*:> Eureka - Engineering
= Take Spike from his cylinder. You're going to need him here.
= Beam down
*:> Space Bar
= Detail, you may want to take a look to the balcony above the
transporter. Not needed to finish the game, but it's a good thing to
remember anyway. ;)
= Go sit with Flo and Droole
= Sit out the animation and you'll get from a business man a business
card and a small sack of space monkeys.
= After that you'll be challenged to a game of battle cruiser by Quirk.
It's a bit of a 3-layer sea battle game in a space setting. It
doesn't matter if you win or lose, however winning scores you points.
= After the game you'll see Cliffy get arrested. Go sit with Flo and
Droole again.
= Throw the space monkeys in your glass (now I don't know if there's a
time limit now, but knowing Sierra I'd count on it. Therefore make
sure you got Spike with you before doing this).
= Exit East (not the transporter)
*:> Space Bar - Prison
= Wait until the guards leave
= Examine the panel
= Go to the second cell on the left
= Use Spike on the bars to get Cliffy out
You'll automatically get out of the Space Bar, which will blow up and
you'll automatically be on the bridge of the Eureka.
*:> Eureka - Bridge
Flo will tell you StarCon wants you to go to Klorox II
= Tell Droole to lay in a course for Klorox II
= Order Droole to go Lite Speed
= Once Droole tells you are are approaching the destination, go in
regular speed.
= Once Flo said she couldn't detect any trash, order Droole to go into
orbit
= Leave the bridge (Droole will run to the transporter as he thinks
you'll need him. And he's right, but you'll find that out soon
enough), and beam down to the surface
WLK0000000005
===========================================================================
Klorox II
===========================================================================
*:> Klorox II - Desert Town
Droole will leave to do some searching himself. He'll pop up when you
need him, so don't worry.
= Exit West (the place to click is hard to spot)
*:> Klorox II - Trashed barrel
= Look at the barrel. Remember the code 41666 on it, as that is the
only destination you can give to Droole that is not part of the copy
protection (that's why I display it in this FAQ).
= Leave this place
*:> Klorox II - Desert Town
= Enter the building in the middle of the screen
*:> Klorox II - Greenhouse
= Save your game before you touch anything (I'm serious)
= Try to access the computer and you'll be attacked by a "pukoid".
= While he attempts to spit in your face, avoid his spit by turning
your head in time. If you fail you'll mutate yourself (which counts
as death), if you make it long enough Droole will come to the rescue.
(The best time to turn your head is half a second after he spits).
= Pick up the note which was dropped by your attacker
= Try to use the computer again
= Type access code: 80869
= Browse through all the pages (and if you truly care about the story
ready everything)
= Call Flo with you communitcator (and you'll ask her to beam you up)
*:> Eureka - Engineering
You may notice WD-40 here. She's harmless to you know, and a member to
your crew. Trust me, you're going to need her later in the game. For
now, leave her be.
= Go to the bridge
*:> Eureka - Bridge
= Sit on the commander chair and Flo will show you a distress signal
from the Goliath. They appear to be in trouble. A cutscene following
up will show you that the Goliath and her crew are in serious
trouble.
= Talk to Flo and ask her the source of the message (she'll tell you it
came from Thrakus)
= Order Droole to lay in a course to Thrakus, go to lite speed and all
the blah blah and go into the planet's orbit
= Now before you leave your chair, remember the test about a strange
planet? Ah to cut it short, press the orange button to call WD-40
= Ask her to scan the planet (and she'll tell you the planet's
atmosphere is toxic to humans).
= Go to engineering
*:> Eureka - Engineering
= Put on your oxygen mask, and you'll beam down to the planet
automatically
WLK0000000006
===========================================================================
Thrakus
===========================================================================
*:> Thrakus - East
= Exit West
*:> Thrakus - West
= Go through the plant to go East
*:> Thrakus - East
= Examine the pod (look inside, or you'll burn your hands)
*:> Escape Pod
= Pick up the coat
= Press the red button that is revealed
= Leave the pod
*:> Thrakus - East
= Exit West
*:> Thrakus - West
= Walk around until Beatrice attacks you
*:> Thrakus - Hanging
= FIRST!!! Call Flo with the communicator
= Then use the coat and help Beatrice out
= Now wait until Bea throws you a vine
= Grab that vine (you'll now be beamed aboard the Eureka)
*:> Eureka - Engineering
= Press the button to the east to reveal the Cryo chamber
= Open the Cryo Chamber
= Pick up Beatrice
= Put her in the Cryo Chamber
= Look at the chamber
= Use the control pad of the chamber
= Set the chamber to 10 seconds cryofreeze
= Go to the bridge
*:> Eureka - Bridge
= Sit on the commander chair
= After the Goliath attacks you order Droole to go into Evasive action
= When Droole Objects say "OK! Let's risk almost certain death in the
asteroid field"
= After you see Cliffy drifting off in space, leave the commanding
chair and go down to the airlock room
*:> Eureka - Airlock Room
= Examine the console
= Open the closet west
= Take the oxygen tanks
= Choose "Pod Rotation"
= Enter the pod
*:> Pod
This works timed and goes pretty precise, so save before you do this.
= Move left until you see Cliffy
= Forward to Cliffy
= Push the claw forward and open it
= Move a bit until the system says "Target in range"
= Close the claw to grab Cliffy
= Move right until the green dot (which is the Eureka) is at the top of
your radar (at 12:00)
= Move forward and you'll get back onto your ship
*:> Eureka - Airlock Room
= Go to the bridge
*:> Eureka - Bridge
= Order Droole to lay in a course for 41666
= Light speed and go into orbit and beam down.
WLK0000000007
===========================================================================
Genetix
===========================================================================
Great, just what we needed, not only are you on a strange artificial world,
you also have become a fly (the guys at Sierra saw a certain movie I
suppose).
*:> Genetix - Dome East
= Now try to fly above the pond, and a creature will come out trying to
eat you and land onto your communicator (save before you do this,
because you will die if you mess this up).
= Land on the communicator
*:> Communicator
= Speak to Flo (and you'll explain your situation, and she'll inform
Cliffy).
= Fly away
*:> Genetix - Dome East
= Exit West
*:> Genetix - Done West
= Enter the keycard slot
*:> Genetix - KeyCard Slot
= You can try out the lasers, they form a clue to open the door once
you turned back into a human.
= Exit on the west side
*:> Genetix - Secret room
= Land on the computer
*:> Genetix - Computer
Use the next menu options
= Restart
= Systems
= Dome 3
= Security
You'll see the fly in your body dive into a dumpster. A concern for
later.
= Camera 3
You'll see Cliffy and WD-40 land
= Main Menu
= Activity Log
= Next until there are no more next pages (you'll see some really
interesting info here)
= Main Menu
= Projects
= Next and read all the stuff until there are no more next pages
= Main Menu
= Accounting
= You may read all the next pages if you want. One name here in this
list is very handy to know ;)
= Fly away
*:> Genetix - Secret room
= Go back to the dome through the keycard slot
*:> Genetix - Dome West
= Fly to Cliffy
= Exit east behind the rocks
*:> Genetix - Dumpster
= Land on your body
Cliffy will restore your body.
= Exit East
*:> Genetix - Dome West
= WD-40 will return your communicator and beam back to the ship
= Use the punch hole on the business card
= Pick the next hole pattern
* *
*
* *
= Use the card on the keycard slot
= Pass through the door
*:> Genetix - Secret room
= Go downstairs
= Press the button next to the compartment behind
= Get the liquid nitrogen tanks
= Leave the room
*:> Genetix - Dome West
= Beak back aboard when Cliffy asks you to.
*:> Eureka - Engineering
Sit out the scene were Spike hints you how to save Beatrice
= "We should initiate a manual control bypass to reverse the phase
polarity of the interface grid and then use the transporter to
reintegrate Beatrice's DNA molecules"
= Look at the cryocamber (LOOK, don't use the hand icon you you'll sign
your own death sentence).
= Open the chamber
= Pick up Beatrice
= Put her on the transporter (Cliffy will do the rest)
= Go to the bridge
*:> Eureka - Bridge
= Press on the orange button of your command chair
= Order WD40 to scan for ships and she'll report the Goliath is near
Gingivitis.
Now I need to warn you, from the moment you order Droole to go to
Gingivitis you must act quickly or you'll be destroyed by the Goliath.
= Order Droole to go to Gingivitis
WLK0000000008
===========================================================================
Gingivitis
===========================================================================
As soon as you go into regular speed on your arrival WD-40 will say
you'll meet the Goliath in 10 seconds
= Press the green button on your chair
= Order Cliffy to cloack the ship
= Wait until you see the Goliath and Cliffy will call you to the lab.
= Go to the engineering room
*:> Eureka - Engineering
Cliffy will show you a picture of the Goliath and you can move the
mouse over the Goliath and click and Cliffy will tell you if there are
many pukoids there.
= Try to find the area where (according to Cliffy) you'll find the
least amount of pukoid activity.
= Go to the airlock chamber
*:> Eureka - Airlock
Before you move on, make sure you got the next items or you'll be in
trouble
= Warp Core, you'll have that anyway since Beatrice gave it to you
after you rescued her from Thrakus
= Laser Gun, if you don't have it before you move on, you'll render the
game impossible to beat
= Fuse. Techincally you can get it later, but having it now is better
as when you get back later there is a time limit (it's in CLiffy's
toolbox if you missed it).
If you have all these items you're basically ready to go.
= Use the panel to rotate the pod
= Enter the pod
*:> Pod
This time you don't have to worry about fuel or oxygen. You just have
to click the right spot of the Goliath with is a bit in the back, just
next to the thrusters.
= Press the red button
= Use the laser gun to burn yourself a way in (if you see pukoid heads
appear, you chose the wrong spot meaning the game is over).
WLK0000000009
===========================================================================
The Goliath
===========================================================================
*:> Goliath - Engine Room
= Wait awhile and a pukoid will enter the room, as long as you stay
where you are, he won't see you. Wait until he leaves.
= Now quickly go upstairs and hit the other stairs
= Examine the panel
= Put the warp cap, Beatrice gave you onto its socket
= Now wait again for the pukoid to come and go
= Hit the door the pukoid came from
*:> Goliath - Corridor
= Now going through these corridors will always make you get caught
sooner or later no matter how careful you are. In stead pick up the
grating below.
*:> Goliath Maze - 8th floor
Now this is a maze with multiple floors. Look at the Goliath Maps if
you want maps of this place. Otherwise, follow these directions
= North
= East
= North x2
*:> Goliath Maze - Shaft A
Now watch out, this is the elevator shaft. If the elevator passes by
you'll be killed. If the elevator blocks your path, enter a random
floor and come back out, and (hopefully) you can make it now.
= You need to get to floor #6
*:> Goliath Maze - 6th floor
= South
= West
= North x2
= East
= North x2
*:> Goliath Maze - Shaft B
= Same story as before, but this time you need to get your self onto
floor #4
*:> Goliath Maze - 4th Floor
= South
= West
= North x2
= West x2
= North x2
*:> Goliath Maze - Shaft C
= Same story as before, but this time you need to get your self onto
floor #2
*:> Goliath Maze - 2nd Floor
= South x2
= West
= South
= East
= South
= Examine the swtich
= Turn it off
Now you'll be caught, but that is supposed to happen. WD-40 will come
to the rescue and you'll automatically go to the transporter room,
where Cliffy awaits
*:> Goliath Transporter room
= Wait until all pukoids are on the transporter pad. None of them may
be moving.
= When they are all on it, order Cliffy and he'll cure the pukoids
Sit out the scenario and you'll be beamed back to the Eureka
WLK000000000A
===========================================================================
The Grand Finale
===========================================================================
*:> Eureka - Engineering
= Go to the bridge
*:> Eureka - Bridge
= Order Droole to fire
= Order Droole to activate the RRS
= Press the red button on your commander chair
= Press the explosion button to activate the self destruct sequence
(you'll now have 10 minutes to finish the game)
= Go to engineering
*:> Eureka - Engineering
= Get Beatrice out of the cryo chamber
= Try to beam to the Goliath but the transporter is (once again)
malfunctioning
= Go to the corridor
*:> Eureka - Corridor
= Crawl into the tube east
*:> Eureka - Fuse tube
= Remove the middle front fuse
= Place in the fuse from your inventory
= Leave the tube
*:> Eureka - Corridor
Quirk will now break out.
= Hit the door to engineering and try not to be touched by Quirk
*:> Eureka - Engineering
= Get Spike out his cylinder
= Stand on the transporter
= Beam out
CONGRATULATIONS! YOU'VE COMPLETED SPACE QUEST V!
In case you cared, when writing this FAQ I scored 4955 out of 5000 points.

Contacting me
===========================================================================
First and most of all, DON'T try to e-mail me. E-mail addresses shown in
public are always only shown because some websites require me to and which
are as a result of that overflooded with spam and therefore never dug
through. In other words, your mail will very likely NEVER be seen at all!
Some websites have an internal personal message system. GameFAQs has that
system for example. Problem is I only visit GameFAQs to host my FAQs
because they are the biggest medium for FAQs and when I got nothing to
upload, you'll hardly see me there, so your messages there will also very
likely not reach me at all. When you see this FAQ on sites other than my
own or GameFAQs, it's very likely I don't even know it's hosted there, and
due to the Creative Commons license, hey I don't even have to know :)
So, if you have any questions or remarks regarding my FAQs, please go to my
own FAQ site at:
http://faq.tbbs.nl and make your comment or your question
right there. When you post there, I will always know immediately and very
likely I will answer in only a few days, if you are lucky even the same
day.
Oh yeah not to sound arrogant or anything, but I'll give you a glimpse of
some mails/comments/spam I received in the past on my FAQs and those are
the kind of messages that will most likely not get answered. Here I give
you my reply at forehand!
*:> Not to be rude but you know NOTHING about this game?
= Not to be rude, but you write NOTHING I have to know about this game.
= I also need you to know that most games I wrote FAQs on have been
played over and over about 20 times or more, and games I played less,
will very likely get a FAQ update after another 10 or 20
playthroughs. How many FAQ writers can say the same? (No, I'm not
being arrogant. I'm just an idiot for doing that, but I like doing
that) :P
*:> You did not cover even half you should cover
= Then give me the other half
*:> Me gustan tus FAQs
= Yo no comprendo
= In other words only send your mails in English or Dutch. Those are
the only two languages I know good enough to have a conversation in.
*:> Fix your English
= Be glad I write in English. If I spoke my own language you may not be
able to understand me, at all.
*:> Hey idiot, fix your FAQ!
= Hey idiot, fix your manners!
*:> I got the best viagra for sale
= If I would ever need that stuff you will NOT be the one I'd buy it
from!
*:> Your stories about how copyrights work are incorrect
= Obviously unlike you, I've read all proper documentation about that
subject and even spoken with the guys who actually deal with stuff
for a living. I'm not claiming to be an expert but I told you what I
know and also what I needed to know for my other activities outside
of FAQ writing.
= Perhaps this is interesting:
http://www.copyrightservice.co.uk/copyright/p01_uk_copyright_law
(This is the UK version of the document, but copyright is an
internationally set up phenomenon, and the core of the copyright
rules are the same in all countries in which the copyrights are part
of the law).
*:> You SUCK in levelling up (I often hear that about my RPG FAQs)
= You need to cheat your way through a game by grinding?
*:> I simply LOVE your FAQs. Thanks a lot.
= You're welcome. I'm glad they were helpful ;)
