0.) Introduction
----------------------------------------
JagDogger2525 here with a guide that I enjoyed to put time into.

PC Users: Please take note that the Driving Controls are what I believe to be
the controls from looking at the Xbox 360 Controls.

Multiplayer Emblem Note: The names are what I believe they should be since there
are only images and descriptions to the Emblems themselves and no names.

~~Once I have completed this guide, these numbered notes will disappear.~~

Note #1: As of 10/04/2011, yes, this guide is incomplete but since I had other
work to do, I was stressing to get this done. Please note that I will
periodically update this guide to fit the 1.00 requirements I plan on getting to
before the month is over. I know I do not have the walkthrough right now, it is
the very next thing on my list to accomplish with the secondary Missions and
Weapons for the next big update.

Note #2: As of 10/05/2011, yes, this guide is STILL incomplete. Please be
patient as I am periodically adding stuff in as I go to still fit the 1.00
requirements I plan on getting to before the month is over. I know I stated that
the walkthrough would be done before the current update, I want to apologize.

Note #3: As of 10/06/2011, yes, there is only a couple bits of the Walkthrough.
I wanted to get the base of all the missions in before I do the walkthrough so
everything would fall into place once I put the walkthrough in.

Note #4: 10/10/2011 - I was unable to complete a lot over the weekend. I decided
to ditch any walkthrough I had. I did this so I can integrate a more potent and
better Walkthrough once I complete the overall base of this guide. I have added
the bases of the sections I was holding off in order to at least get them out in
the open. I am still in the process of expanding each section and organizing
this guide to make it a perfect 1.00 Version guide for all of you.

Note #5: 10/15/2011 - I decided to ditch the "Other NPC's" subsection of the
NPC's section until further notice and ditch the "Story behind RAGE" altogether
since the "Timeline" basically sums up the Story much better anyways. Since I
took out those points and completed a couple more, I just need to type up the
Debrief Section, the Primary and Wasteland Legends Walkthroughs, and any other
Secondary Mission sections and this guide will be at version 1.00 FINALLY. Thank
you for your patience.

Note #6: 10/21/2011 - I have put this guide on hold until I have interest with
this guide. I really want to be finished with this guide but without interest, I
just can't continue. I mainly want to play Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One so I am
going to input what I have and leave it at that.

I will more than happy to answer questions about the walkthrough and any other
portion of the game yet I am just holding off on writing the guide in order to
play Ratchet & Clank, my favorite series that released All 4 One On the 18th.

I mainly want to thank all of you for your continued support in viewing my FAQ,
but since I have other plans, I would have to recommend the FAQ of both KOH13
and a1ka1in since both of their Walkthroughs are complete.

3.) Rage Debrief
----------------------------------------
a. Timeline
------------------------------
2004
--------------------
Scientists detect an asteroid the size of Manhattan spiraling in deep space.
Excitement turns to concern as prediction’s have it passing dangerously close to
Earth’s lunar orbit sometime in 2029. The asteroid is dubbed 99942 “Apophis” –
after the Egyptian god of chaos.

--------------------
2024
--------------------
Apophis is privately assigned a Torino rating of 7, the highest ever on the
scale to measure the likelihood of an object impacting Earth. Publicly, the US
and other collaborating governments announce a rating of 4. NASA and the
European Space Agency believe the rating will be increased to 10 with-in 12
months.

--------------------
2025
--------------------
The “Ark” project begins. Capsules are buried deep underground and designed to
burrow out at preset dates several years after the disaster. The goal of the
project is to preserve knowledge, genetic samples and other items essential for
human life. thousands of Arks contain groups of “inhabitants” who are injected
with Nanotrites, a new untested super-science of the day, allowing them to
survive cold sleep.

--------------------
2025–2027
--------------------
The government stockpiles massive arsenals of weapons and supplies within
hardened fortifications deep inside the Earth.

--------------------
August 2029
--------------------
News reaches the general population as smaller meteorites impact the Earth ahead
of Apophis. The Ark project is initiated.

--------------------
December 2029
--------------------
Apophis strikes the Moon and slams into the Earth carrying the force of 13.3
Gigatonnes of TNT. Entire countries are devastated, cities are erased, and lakes
and rivers evaporate. The Earth is cast into a multi-year impact winter as the
sun is blocked by dust and debris in the stratosphere. With-in one year, 80% of
all life disappeared on Earth.

--------------------
2035
--------------------
The dust starts to settle as survivors crawl out of caves and shelters to a
world that is nothing like before. Civilization is gone, and little hope
remains. People group together in loosely formed clans. Small settlements and
camps are constructed as many try to find shelter from the unknown dangers
lurking in the wasteland that has become Earth.

------------------------------
b. Interface
------------------------------
Minimap - Located in the upper right corner of the HUD and only available out in
the Wasteland. There are a few points of the Minimap you should become
         familiar with.
              White Kite: Your current location
White Line: The path to your current objective
              Blue Dot: Friendly/Neutral Vehicles
              Red Dot: Enemy Vehicles
White Diamond: The location of your current objective

Objective Text - Located in the upper left corner of the HUD, the Objective Text
shows the current mission and objective you are currently on.

Quick Use Items - Located in the lower left corner of the HUD as a little
diamond, the Quick Use Items shows what slots are in use. You
have to go to each one to see what Item is reserved for each
                 slot.

Ammo - Used as an extension of the Quick Use Item diamond, this allows you to
see how much ammo you have, the type of ammo you have loaded, and how
much is in your current clip.

Weapon Switch Menu - This menu can be accessed by holding
                    R2/R. Bumper/Ctrl (PS3/X360/PC respectively) and the menu
allows you to switch weapons (Right) and ammo types (Left).

Crosshair - Located at the middle of the screen, the crosshair determines where
you are going to shoot the next round or rounds, how accurate you
are shooting, when there is a prompt to activate something or to
talk to someone, and shows the time left to release a grenade.

Defibrillator Charges - Located under the Ammo extension, there are white bars
to show you how many defibrillator charges you have
left. Defibrillator charges are used if you fall in
battle and forget to either take cover or use bandages.

------------------------------
c. Dossier
------------------------------
The Dossier is the main profile menu. It is mainly used to access the key
components of inventory, mission and campaign progress, and character
statistics.

--------------------
Inventory
--------------------
Your inventory is a list of what you currently have on hand. Each item presents
with the name, a description, sell price (if able to sell), and an identifier.
There are four identifiers to each item: Exclamation Point; Hand; Gear/Cog; and
Dollar Sign.

Exclamation Point - Special Item; Do NOT sell if able
Hand - Quick Use Items; Keep Bandages and Grenades, Recommended to keep others
Gear/Cog - Important to create usable items with other items; Keep for recipes
Dollar Sign - Has no importance; Sell for cash

g. Vendors
------------------------------
Vendors are scattered across the Wasteland. They buy whatever you throw at them
and they will sell some useful items such as ammo, ingredients, and quick use
items. There is one rule of thumb though when trading with vendors, don't sell
ammo or ingredients until you know for sure you desprately need the money for
the next best thing that will be fully stocked.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4.) Walkthrough
----------------------------------------
aa. Prologue
------------------------------
The prologue starts out where you are inside of one of the cryogenic pods that
was seen in the introduction video. A computerized female voice indicates about
an outside threat. You have to go with the vertical calibration test once you
get out. Activate the center console. Go towards the door after a few seconds,
activate and walk through the door. After exiting, turn left then another left
down the pathway before coming across a Bandit. There will be a friend to help
you. Get in the passenger seat and watch the cut scene to be brought to the
location of your first mission. Follow Dan Hagar inside of the building. Talk to
him to start the mission.

goal post is slightly tilted but in order to make the goal, just back up far
enough to accelerate and boost your character through the goal post.

--------------------
Mutant Bash TV Field Goal

This goal post is west of the Mutant Bash TV location by a metal Authority door.
The goal post is straight up and down so it should not be a problem lining up
for the field goal. Just make sure you backup far enough.

Northern Watch Tower Field Goal
--------------------
At the North Watch Tower, there should be a goal post past a ridge. The goal
poast is, again, standing straight up and down so try and line up among the

11.) NPC's
----------------------------------------
a. Enemies
------------------------------
I) Mutants
--------------------
Mutants are the resultant of an Authority Nanotrite experiment gone wrong. After
a few mutants got out into the Wasteland, they began to breed and cause
destruction. There are several types of Mutants

Mutant Variants:
Standard Mutants - Dagger Thrower, Scoop Mutant, Club Mutant
Dyno-Mutant - A mutant that explodes
Slime Mutants - A mutant with a defensive Slime barrier
Kraken - A mutant with a tentacle
Large Mutants - A mutant that uses a Chaingun
Giant Mutants - A mutant as tall as a three-story building

--------------------
II) Clans
--------------------
A.) Gearheads
----------
"The Gearheads are the smartest bunch of bandits in the Wasteland. Not relying
solely on brute force for survival, these bandits have built advanced machinery
and weaponry that make them a force to be reckoned with. These bandits look to
technology for their salvation and vow to never let "Mother Nature" destroy them
again." - rage.wikia.com excerpt on the Gearheads

As the excerpt suggests, Gearheads rely heavily on the technological advances of
machines and other various weapons to bring you to your demise.

----------
B.) Ghost Clan
----------
The Ghost Clan, or Ghosts, are "fearless, intelligent, and agile combatants,
who possess the ability to jump, crawl, and navigate their surroundings like
world class gymnasts. They attack with grace, speed, and brutality. You never
know which direction they will strike you from, so when you find yourself in
Ghost territory, stay sharp. They can be found in dark, forgotten and abandoned
places where they decorate their surroundings with graffiti and grisly trophies
of their victims." - rage.wikia.com excerpt on the Ghost Clan

Ghosts have little to no armor at all as well as light weapons to supplement
their agility to quickly destroy their victims.

----------
C.) Jackal Clan
----------
The members of the Jackal Clan "act more like a pack of wolves on a hunt than a
well-trained military force. They adorn their bodies with bones, furs, and
animal scalps, giving them an appearance more beast than human. They are
incredibly strong and resilient, and although they wear little armor they can
shrug off bullets with willpower alone." - rage.wikia.com excerpt on the Jackal
Clan

The members of the Jackal Clan are more like the cavemen of the Wasteland and
they don't succumb too easily as the excerpt suggests.

----------
D.) Scorchers
----------
The worshippers of the Apophis asteroid, Scorchers, "believe a demigod rode the
burning rock straight into the soul of the planet, and that by tapping into its
energy, they will become the 'toughest motherf**kers' in the wasteland. They
decorate their bodies and vehicles with images of fire and destruction." -
rage.wikia.com excerpt on the Scorchers

The Scorchers are basically the nutty yet tough Looney Toons of the Wasteland
while they are pyromaniacs on the inside where they burn everything they see.

----------
E.) Shrouded Clan
----------
The Shrouded Clan is "made up of disillusioned members of other clans, that have
come together under a veil of secrecy to hide their true identity. The only way
to leave the clan is death." - rage.wikia.com excerpt on the Shrouded Clan

Secretly hiding who they really are, the Shrouded Clan is a group of engineers
who mainly use the Remote Control Bomb Car in order to detect any enemies who
stumble across their territory as well as traps for those who bypass those RC
Bomb Cars in their hideouts.

----------
F.) Wasted Clan
----------
"What the Wasted Clan lacks in intelligence, they make up for in personality.
Decorated in colorful tattoos and body armor, these bandits use fear and
intimidation instead of strategy and tactics." - rage.wikia.com excerpt on the
Wasted Clan

Out of all the other clans, the Wasted Clan members are more like tattooed and
colorful combat grunts. They can perform modifications and brew alcohol, yet
they are grouped in small and loose numbers.

--------------------
III) Authority
--------------------
The main purpose of the Authority is "to restore order to the world by any means
necessary, including killing unmutated humans." - rage.wikia.com excerpt on the
Authority

There are multiple variants of the enemies in the Authority:
Enforcers - The Non-Nanotrite Grunts of the Authority
Authority Mutants - The Nanotrite Grunts of the Authority
Elite Guards - The heavily armed enemies who guard the Capital Prime

Hidden Section
----------------------------------------
This Section is dedicated to the basis of hidden areas. Follow closely as you
may have a chance.

--------------------

Wolfenstein Room
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dGJ3br970Xs
Video Description:
"This hidden room is located in an area on your very first mission, and is
missable afterwards because the area is closed off later. It is during the Ghost
Hideout mission, where you have to go in and take out all the enemies.

The video starts right after you have the defibrillator tutorial. Take out the
enemies, and go close to the corner wall, next to the flat-screen TV. There is
no text prompt at all, so just press the 'Interact' button when you are close.

There are a couple other rooms like this in the game, with other themes (like
DOOM, Quake, etc)"

Notes: As the Video Description suggests, this room can be accessed through the
Ghost Hideout.

--------------------

Doom Room
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ybq3yfL2L9I
Video Description:
"This Easter Egg is located in the Gearhead Vault, within Subway Town. You can
access it through a main story quest.

Once you're able to access this area, clear out all the enemies and head towards
the area near the end with the computers. You'll need to activate 7 of them as
shown in the video, and you'll hear a distinct sound effect from DOOM for every
keyboard you interact with.

Once you've activated them all, head back to the beginning entrance, and a
previously locked door will now be accessible. You will then find a teleporter
that will transport you to a classic DOOM level. In that level, you will find a
DOOM Marine Bobblehead."

Notes: As the Video Description suggests, this room can be accessed through the
Gearhead Vault.

--------------------

Quake Room
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKx5Ms7g4l0
Video Description:
"To locate this room, you'll have to search the Wasted Garage for three hidden
buttons. Don't do this one while completing the mission to find parts for the
Buggy, return on your own later. The buttons do not have an onscreen prompt,
you'll know they've been activated when you hear a QUAKE-like sound effect.

1. Starting from the button of the building, the first button is on the second
floor. Run past where you had previously found the distributor cap for your
buggy, and look for a nightstand. Look beneath the drawer to find the first
button.

2. Moving up, the next button is on the third floor, in a small room behind a
filing cabinet. The button is facing the wall, behind the cabinet — you'll need
to crouch and press against the wall to see the button.

3. The last button is on the fourth floor. Find a red workbench, and look on the
wall just left of it. Crouch and interact to activate the button.

4. Return to the second floor to find the room. In one dead-end hallway, you'll
find a QUAKE symbol painted on one of the walls. Run up the steps and enter the
portal — inside you'll find a rare piece of treasure."

Notes: As the Video Description suggests, this room can be accessed through the
Wasted Garage
