II. Introduction
------------------
Greetings, everyone. This FAQ is based on the fourth sequal to the Mortal
Kombat series a.k.a. Mortal Kombat 4. Mortal Kombat 4 is a great game that fits
well as a good game under the game genres of "Action", "Fighting", and "3D". My
FAQ will not cover every concept in Mortal Kombat 4. However, it will cover one
character in the game. I will be sure to cover all of his moves, fatalities
done at defeat, and great methods to win. I can make one promise through all
this. If you use all of this FAQ's concepts well during gameplay, you will have
mastered the character. To learn more about the character, please read on. I
hope my FAQ is informative and helpful to all gamers. Enjoy.

VIII. Methods
---------------
Note: The following methods are for the two bosses only. However, I'm sure you
can find some means to use them during regular combat.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Goro (Sub-Boss)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do: The main key to beating Goro is to do "cheesy" moves only. What is meant by
this is that you should do a specific combo over and over. The best key to
defeating him is to do the High Punch, High Punch, Knee, Roundhouse combo I
mentioned earlier in the FAQ. This is the best combo to goro because it is the
only one that will actually make him stay down. As soon as he gets up, you
should run to him and continue with the combo. Keep your distance, and go for
it. Of course, my best advice is to try out each combo and see which one works
best for you.

Dont: Projectiles. Yes, projectiles affect him but only for a little while.
If you depend on projectiles for too long, he will eventually come in on you
and pound the life out of you. Another thing is distance. Never ever get too
close to Goro. Because if you do, he will use his most deadliest throws that
takes away almost half of your health. Don't bother to throw him, because more
than likely, he will either back-break you or do his pound. Do not treat him
like a regular Kombatant. Sweeping, kneeing, jumping kicks, and all regular
attacks are bad techniques and Goro will easily defeat you.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Shinnok (Boss)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do: The good news is that he is easier than Goro. He, unlike Goro, can actually
be treated like a regular Kombatant. Shinnok has absolutely no moves. He can
only do the basic moves but much faster and more skilled than the previous
Kombatants, except for Goro. His best moves will be his shape-lifting ability.
So whoever he shape-lifts into, treat the decoy as if he were the actual
Kombatant. Avoid all of his/her special attacks and use the best technique that
works for you.

Dont: Don't be intiminated by Shinnok. He is more of a Kombatant than a boss.

VIV. FAQ
----------
Q: Your methods are not working for the bosses. What am I supposed to do?
A: I said many times before that you must use this FAQ and choose the best
method that works best for you.

Q: How long will it take me to master the combos?
A: Yes, all of the combos do have a learning curve. Most of the combos should
not take you more than half an hour to learn. However, I made a particular
section for the best combos. That will take you a long since they are over five
hit combos. The best and fastest way to learn them is to use Reiko at Practice
Mode.

Q: The fatalities are so hard! What am I supposed to do?
A: Unfortunately, you can not try out the fatalities in Practice Mode at ease.
You must win in combat and then try them. Yes, this will indeed take a while
to learn each but be sure to be in the correct distance and press the correct
buttons.

Q: Now to the story part. The most anticipated answer to this following
question. IS REIKO SHAO KAHN?
A: No, it has been confirmed in Mortal Kombat: Deception that he is his own
warrior.

Q: What the heck would make you want to ask that question?
A: Because you put two and two together. You look at Reiko's official ending,
which is found at the "Reiko" section of this FAQ, and you look at the FMV
endings for the PC and Playstation. In the FMV endings, Reiko enter's Shao
Kahn's chamber and puts on Kahn's mask.

Q: FMV Ending? What was his orginal ending?
A: His original ending, found most in the home versions of N64, showed Reiko
simply walking through a portal. His ending was extended in the FMV ending. It
was actually considered a joke by an actual interview by Mortal Kombat creator
John Vogel.

Q: Reiko is considered an unpopular character. Is he likely to return in future
Mortal Kombat games?
A: That is just an opinion. To some, Reiko is considered a favorite and to
others he may be boring. Yes, the Mortal Kombat: Deception storyline confirms
that he will have at least some developments in games.

Q: Where is Reiko at now?
A: He is a forced slave to the Dragon King. I'm not allowed to discuss further.

Q: Why not?
A: Because I am not going to make this a multi-game guide and violate GameFAQs'
rules and regulations.
