Answers:
Q: How do I get the instrument on Emerald Isle?
A: Talk to all the peasants. One will sell it to you for 500 gold.
Q: Where is the longbow on Emerald Isle?
A: It is in the Dragon Cave.
Q: Where is the Floor Tile in the Temple of the Moon on Emerald Isle?
A: Check for a secret door on the western side of the temple.
Q: Where are the Red Dwarf Mines?
A: Northeastern Bracada, to the east of the stable.
Q: How do I get into The Pit?
A: You must have chosen the Light or Dark path first, then go
through the Hall of the Pit in northeastern Deyja.
Q: How do I get into Celeste?
A: Again, you must have chosen Light or Dark path first, then
go to the large arched teleport in Bracada and hit the spacebar.
Q: Where are the golem parts?
A: There are 7. One is in NW Dayja. Another is in NE Deyja. One is in
SW Barrow Downs. One is in Tatalia, on an island. Another is in Avlee
on an island. The dented/bad head is in the chest in the main teleport square
in Bracada. The final piece is at the base of two connected towers near the
stables in Bracada. Fly or Jump is required to get this piece.
Q: Where is the Tidewater map to Evenmorn Island?
A: In Tidewater Caverns, in the ship section there is a secret door on one of
the upper levels that reveals the chest containing the map. High
perception will aid in spotting this door.
Q: How do I get through the Walls of Mist in Celeste?
A: The three teleport arches in the main room take you to three seperate
sections of the Walls, each of which contains a key. The keys are as follows:
Left side - push the buttons in in different combinations and try the lever each time.
There are six buttons total, and more than one combination will work. This is easiest
in turn based mode. When you are able to pull the lever, this will raise the chest
holding the key.
Center - look for an elevator in one corner of the room. Ride this up, and in the area where
you get off is the chest containing the key.
Right side - when you get to the four fountains with buttons on them, press each button.
This will drain tyhe rectangular fountain to the north. When it is drained, you may jump
in for the chest containing the key.
Return to the main room, and insert the keys into the pillars. This seems to work best in
realtime mode with the character holding the keys selected. Keep in mind, you must
not have killed anything in the Walls of Mist and must use all three keys on the same visit
for the back door to open. The best results to the Walls of Mist are achieved using the
Invisibility spell.
Q: How do I get Light Magic skill?
A: First, you must have chosen the Light path and be given access to the Guild by completing
the Walls of Mist quest. In addition, your character must be at his/her final promotion level
(i.e. archmage, priest of light) and be of a class that can learn the skill. At this point, the
character will be given the option to learn the skill at any Light Guild.
Q: How do I get Dark Magic skill?
A: You must have chosen the Dark path and be given access to the Guild by completing
the Breeding Zone quest. In addition, your character must be at his/her final promotion
level (i.e. lich, priest of dark) and be of a class that can learn the skill. At this point, the
character will be given the option to learn the skill at any Dark Guild.
Q: Where is the Judge's house in Harmondale?
A: The Judge's house is a star shaped building in the southeast of Harmondale. It may be
reached by heading past Whitecliff Caverns.
Q: Where are the three statuettes?
A: There is one each in the Temple of the Sun and Temple of the Moon on Evenmorn Island,
and one in The Maze in Nighon.
Q: Where is the Breeding Zone?
A: Immediately west of where you enter The Pit from the Hall of the Pit.
Q: Where are the three paintings?
A: One is in the Haunted Mansion in the Barrow Downs. The other two are in
Castle Steadwick in Erathia.
Q: How do I open the rest of the Haunted Mansion?
A: The switch is the single bed in one of the rooms. Another switch is on a bookcase.
Using either will work.
Q: What do I do in the lower level of the Red Dwarf Mines?
A: Once you have the frayed belt for the Warrior Mage quest (given to you in Avlee), go
to the far end of the lower level where the machine you must sabotage is located. Once
you sabotage it, you will only have one hour to exit the lower level.
Q: What do I do in Clanker's Laboratory?
A: There is a secret switch on the bookcases opening more of the laboratory. In this
area is the switch to bring down the shield for the Dark advisor's quest.
Q: How can i get more money?
A: Several ways. Complete quests, pick up items and sell them, or Enchant Item (or use
grandmaster Fire Aura) on items and weapons then sell them with a high merchant skill.
Q: Where is the Altar Piece of Dark?
A: In the main room when you enter the Temple of Dark, look towards the floor behind
the altar for a switch. Press it to reveal the chest containing the piece.
Q: Where is the Altar Piece of Light?
A: When you get to the room with the three panels of sun-moon-star buttons, trigger the
Sun in the west, the Moon in the north, and the Stars in the east then touch the altar to
open the door leading to the fragment.
Q: Where are the Obelisks?
A: While I do not have the numbers for each obelisk, I do have their locations. The fourteen
obelisks are in: Harmondale, Avlee, Erathia, Bracada, Barrow Downs, Stone City, Eofol,
Tatalia, Tularean Forest, Celeste, The Pit, Deyja, Evenmorn Island, and Nighon.
Q: Where is the obelisk treasure?
A: You must have visited all fourteen obelisks first. Then, the treasure appears in the
southern circle of stones in Evenmorn Island at midnight.
Q: Where are the thirteen ArcoMage taverns?
A: The thirteen taverns are in Harmondale, Avlee, Erathia, Bracada, Barrow Downs,
Stone City, Tatalia, Tularean Forest, Celeste, The Pit, Deyja, Evenmorn Island, and Nighon.
Q: Can I get back to Emerald Isle once I leave?
A: No, you can not.
Q: Where are the Ancient Weapons teachers?
A: The advisors are the Expert and Master teachers, and the Grandmaster teacher is in the castle.
Q: When do I pick Light or Dark path?
A: When Judge Gray dies, you must pick a successor. If you pick Judge Fairweather, you will be
Light, and if you pick Judge Sleen, you will be Dark.
Q: Does it matter if I help the Elf King or Queen Catherine?
A: It does not matter who you help, or whether you help them or merely give them the appropriate
fake.
Q: What is the '0' quest that appears in my quest book?
A: This is a bug in the game.
Q: How do I get into the Faerie Mound?
A: Walk circles around the path in the mound, never straying from the path.
Q: What do I do with the key in the Faerie Mound?
A: In the room with the big tree, you will notice an alcove with ivy growing in it, then a wall that
sticks out, then the door. Search near the floor of the wall that is sticking out for a secret
keyhole.
Q: How do I defeat Tolberti in The Pit?
A: The best way is to cast Day of the Gods, Hour of Power, Day of Protection, Grandmaster
Protection From Magic, Regeneration, Preservation and Invisibility spells on your party.
Then, run up to him, SAVE, then engage him in rapid melee combat and hope you are
lucky. If you are not, reload the game and retry.
Q: What are the best spells?
A: This is merely my opinion:
Fire - Fire Aura, Immolation, Incinerate
Water - Enchant Item, Town Portal, Lloyd's Beacon, Acid Burst
Earth - Stone to Flesh, Telekinesis, Mass Distortion
Air - Fly, Invisibility, Wizard Eye, Jump
Body - Heal, Power Cure, Regeneration, Protection From Magic
Spirit - Raise Dead, Detect Life, Bless, Heroism, Resurrection
Mind - Mind Blast, Cure Paralysis, Cure Insanity
Light - Paralyze, Day of the Gods, Hour of Power, Day of Protection, Divine Intervention, Sunray

Q: How do I get through the Barrow Mounds?
A: The Barrow Mounds can be quite confusing. Each barrow has four exits; upper and lower left
and upper and lower right. The side is determined by the tunnel you take, and the upper or lower
is determined by the position of the lever next to the tunnel. A map is as follows:
Barrow - Upper Left Exit - Lower Left Exit - Upper Right Exit - Lower Right Exit

Q: Why is my own golem attacking me?
A: If you used the bad head to assemble your golem, it will attack you. Your choices are to avoid
it or to kill it.
Q: Where can I get artifacts and relics?
A: A few quests (Obelisk, ArcoMage) reward you with artifacts, as do a few tougher dungeons.
The best way to get artifacts and relics is to loot the corpses of dragons and titans though. Save,
loot corpses, and if you don't get what you want, reload and try again.
Q: How do I get to Nighon?
A: You must follow the tunnels from under Stone City through to the Tunnels To Nighon and
then through Thunderfist Mountain. Beware the Minotaur Lords.
Q: How do I get to Eofol?
A: One branch of Thunderfist Mountain leads to the Tunnels To Eofol. Beware the
Behemoths and Medusae.
