Introduction
************

One of many boxing games avaiable for the Nintendo, it is not as good as the
great Punch-Out but still should get a look if you are a fan. Try to beat the
Ranking in all categories!!

Controls
********

Choose one of the three boxing events by using the SELECT button.

Directional Pad    Move boxer
B                  Defensive
A                  Offensive
START              Pause

Use the A button for offensive moves, the B button for defensive moves. Use
the directions for some fancy footwork.

Moves:

If you don't use the directions then the A button will do a random punch. If
you do not defend with the direction buttons then the game will attempt to do
it for you. I suggest you do not let it.

Facing the opponent straight on, press right or left with the A button to throw
a straight punch. Press down and A to throw a body blow. Press up and A to
throw an upper cut.

Facing the opponent at an angle, press right or left with the A button to throw
a hook. Press up or down with the A button to throw a straight punch.

Facing the opponent straight on, sway away to defend against straight punches.
Sway back to defend against body blows and defend when he throws an upper cut.

Facing the opponent at an angle, defend against a hook and sway down to avoid
a straight punch.

Abilities:

You can change the boxer's abilities to speed, stamina, defense and punch.
Speed: movements and punching
Stamina: strength
Defense: defend against punches
Punch: power of punching strength, the higher the more damage dealt
There are four punch types: straight, upper cut, body blow and hook. You can
change the stats before a round begins. Different fights require different
strategies. You can improve the stats by winning matches and sparring or
playing the normal game modes. Losing will not result in any loss of stats.
A punch can get up to 20 strength. Use the up and down arrow to select a punch
and use right to increase the power or left to decrease it. Split all your
remaining power points and press START to begin.

Display:

Left is for Player 1, right is for Player 2.
The stamina bars indicates the player's physical strength. It will decrease as
time goes by and as you get punched.
The spirit gauge measures the fighting spirit of the player. When getting hit
or when the opponent dodges your punch, this bar will decrease. In reverse, the
bar will increase by landing punches and dodging the opponent's punches. Once
the bar reaches the red zone, one punch will knock down the other player.
The time shows how much is left per round.
The round is the number of rounds right now.

Password:

Use this function to retrieve your boxer by entering the name and password. The
password is assigned during Ranking after defeating the opponent. You can use
this boxer for the other two modes as well.

Rules
*****

Each match has five rounds. In ranking mode you only have three rounds for a
sparring match. A round is 60 seconds and has a break between each one. The
match is over when one person is KO (Knocked Out - unable to get up within 10
seconds of being knocked down), a TKO occurs after one player has been knocked
down three times in one round, or the a decision is made at the end of the
rounds. This depends on the punch points for each round the players collect. A
player gets 10 points for having more punches in one round, whereas the other
will lose 10 points for having less. If they both have the same then both get
10 points. If both players have the same points at the end of the game then the
player with more stamina will win.

Ranking:

You can build upon your strength to become World Champ. There are four weight
classifications: Welterweight, Middleweight, Cruiserweight and Heavyweight.
There is training and ranking for your to play. In training you spar against
your opponent before the fight. You can improve your speed, stamina or
punching. In ranking you match against the top five ranked fighters in each
class. As you rise in rankings by winning (you drop by losing), you can move on
to the next class after defeating the champ. Defeating the champ gives you a
password for later use.

VS:

Fight against another human player in versus mode. You can retrieve a player by
using a password from Ranking.

Tournament:

3 to 8 players can use this mode. The display shows who will be using what
controller to fight. The higher number uses the right controller, whereas the
lower one the left controller. You can retrieve a player by using a password
from ranking.
