GAME INTRODUCTION
=================
While roaming the Canadian wilderness, the man called Logan was
accosted by the mysterious Dr. Cornelius and subjected to a brutal
barrage of body-altering experiments. He was given a newly forged set
of adamantium claws and bones. Now, Logan struggles against malevolent
villains as well as the uncontrollable beserker rage within him as
Wolverine. In this game, you are in total control of Wolverine, claws
and all. Your mission is to thwart the world domination plans of
Magneto as well as to put and end to the savage beast named Sabertooth,
your arch nemesis.

MUTANT FRIENDS
==============
PSYLOCKE: Weather using her "Psychic Blade" to disarm her foes without
causing them physical harm or her formidable martial arts skills in
hand-to-hand combat, Psylocke remains one of the most valuable members
of the Uncanny X-Men's new blue team. Her fierce fighting spirit,
mutant mind powers, and steel tough physical strength help keep the X-
Men victorious in their never ending fight against evil.
JUBILEE: When Jubilee's involved, the fireworks never stop. This
spunky Chinese American child of the Los Angeles malls is a blast in
more ways than one; her mutant metabolism allows her to generate light
energy plasma that explodes with spectacular force. Though Professor X
has since sidelined her from active duty due to her very young age,
Jubilee eagerly awaits the chance to burst into battle once again.
HAVOK: With a father who roams the stars as the Pirate Corsair and a
brother, Cyclops, who fires optic blasts, it's no wonder that havoc is
an incredibly powerful mutant in his own right. Havok has the ability
to generate tremendously torrid blasts of plasma by absorbing cosmic
energy. Although he must wear a protective suit to contain his intense
power, Havok has been a huge asset in the fight against the forces of
evil.

ITEMS
=====
The items that are listed in this section will be of great help to
you during your journey through the game. Most of them are vital to
survival and many of them are scattered throughout the nine levels of
the game.
HAMBURGERS: Finding and eating one of these tasty sandwiches will
recover four bars of strength that was lost in battle.
BOTTLE OF SPIRITS: Finding and drinking the contents of this bottle
will also recover four bars of strength that was lost in battle.
1UP ICON: Finding and collecting one of these icons will give to you
an extra life for your troubles.
POINT ICONS: These icons come in denominations of 500, and 1000.
Collecting these will add to your total score.
FREE GAME ICON: Collecting this icon will grant you and extra continue
if you happen to spend all of your lives. You start the game off with
only one continue.
HAVOK DEVICE: Given to you by PSYLOCKE, you can use this device to
call on Havok when your strength is low. You will be able to use your
healing factor while Havok is on screen to recover some strength.
Note: this device can only be used when your strength meter is the red
area.
SCUBA DEVICE: Given to you by JUBILEE, this device will allow you to
hold your breath under water for a longer period of time, 20 seconds
more to be exact.

ENEMIES (VILLAINS)
==================
MAGNETO: No mutant is as widely known and feared as the master of
magnetism, Magneto. To secure the safety and survival of mutant kind,
he has often resorted to extreme actions, responding to human savagery
with his own brand of barbarism backed by his immense powers.
Magneto's noble goals by foul deeds have made him the oldest and
deadliest foe of the X-Men.
SABERTOOTH: Like the X-Man Wolverine, Sabertooth has a mutant healing
factor that makes him immune to most harm. Sabertooth also shares with
his archenemy something else - they are both bio-engineered products of
the super secret Project-X Program. But unlike Wolverine, Sabertooth
uses his scientifically acquired savage skills to commit murder and
mayhem, making him one of the deadliest men on the face of the earth.

BESERKER METER AND ADAMANTIUM CLAWS
===================================
BESERKER METER: With each kill that Wolverine makes, his beserker
meter grows by two bars. Also, when Wolverine is damaged, his beserker
meter goes down gradually. When the Beserker Meter reaches full
capacity, Logan's heart will appear where Wolverine's face usually is
and it will beat at a high rate of speed. Wolverine will start
swinging and kicking wildly and will be impervious damage until the
Beserker Meter is emptied.
ADAMANTIUM CLAWS: By pushing the SELECT Button, you will be able to
bring out Wolverine's deadly claws. SNIKT! A picture of the claws
will take the place of where Wolverine's face usually is. To retract
them, hit the SELECT button again. When using the claws, you will deal
twice the damage to an enemy. However with each swing, you will you up
1/4 of 1 strength bar. If your strength bar drops into the red, you will
not have enough strength to use your claws.

WALKTHROUGH
===========

LEVEL 01: THE FIRST TRIAL
++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You will start this first trial at the bottom of a factory which
you will notice has a lot of pipes to hop on to. Run to the right and
hop on the gold pipe to the right but do not forget to arm your claws
first. Then, hop straight up onto the next two pipes and duck because
there is going to be a silver enemy that appears to the left. He will
fire a projectile at you. When it passes over your head, jump to the
pipe to the left and swipe him. Then, jump straight up onto the next
four pipes and ignore the silver enemy that materializes to the right.
When you get to the top pipe, jump to the right and chomp on the
hamburger that is located to the right but be prepared to duck when
another silver enemy appears. Wait for him to reappear from his
initial attack and then nail him when he makes an appearance. Move to
the right and fall off the ledge but push to the left to make it to the
left platform. Do this again and land on the gold pipe below and once
more because a silver enemy will appear here and you want to get to
that juicy burger. Then, when the silver enemy disappears, jump to
that pipe and wait for him to reappear. Make sure you are standing on
the edge so you do not get stung. After disposing of him, jump to the
right and then again to the gold pipe and wait because one silver enemy
will appear right above you and one will appear from the far right.
Just wait here until they fire off their rounds and disappear. When
the one to the right disappears, move to the right and wait for him to
rematerialize. When he does, give him a taste of cold adamantium.
Your next move will be to hop onto the small blue platforms to the
right and to make your way up to the next to which is a hop to the
right and hop to the left up respectively. When you get to this small
platform, wait until the silver enemy fires off his shot and then tag
him with your claws right as he is in mid disappearance. Then make
your way all the way to the top to snag the bottle of spirits while
avoiding the shot from the flying silver enemy. Move on by making the
huge leap to the right and as you land in the corridor, duck and crawl
towards the silver enemy who decides to appear in front of you. After
taking him down, hop down to the small gold platform to the right and
wait for the flying silver enemy to come into view. Then hop to the
right while slashing him with your claws and land on the next small
gold platform. You will have to do the same thing for the one below
him and then land on the next gold platform which is twice as big as
the others. Next, hop up onto the platforms to the right until you
make it to the next big corridor at the top. There will be a guard
patrolling the area with a handgun. Duck his initial attack and then
slice him to pieces.
Next, hop onto the perch and wait until the silver enemy appears
to the right on the gold pipe. When he does, nail him with a leaping
slash and do the same for the next two set of pipes to the right. When
you reach the top of the corridor, be prepared to jump when you land to
avoid the guard's shotgun blast. Then, take him out with a clean swipe
and hop on down to the next gold two gold pipes to the right. You will
see a silver enemy above you and a guard with a shotgun below you to
the right. Wait until the silver enemy above you disappears and then
hop to his pipe by slicing when he tries to rematerialize. Then, hop
up onto the two gold pipes the right and get ready to jump straight up
when the silver enemy materializes to the left. Next, hop to his
platform to the left and tag him when he reappears. Do not forget to
grab the 1UP while you are over here. Then head on back to the pipes
you were just on so that you can grab the hamburger that was just
sitting there. From here, do not even worry about killing the guard who
is wielding the shotgun. Just fall straight down and dismantle the
guard wielding the handgun. Next, move on to the right and crawl over
to the guard who tries to take you out with his handgun. Now all that
you have to do is make you way up the pipes by jumping straight up to
the left right and so on until you reach the exit door. You have
completed your first trial.

LEVEL 02: TRIAL BY AIR
+++++++++++++++++++++++
You will start the second trial on a platform in the top of the
sky in the upper left corner. Get a running start and leap onto the
platform to the right. Then run under the projectile from the silver
enemy to the right and land on the smaller platform below you. Do not
forget to take your claws out! Then head on down and slice the silver
enemy that appears in front of you. Next, get a running start and leap
over to the platform to the right. Next, hop onto the next orange
platform to the right and tag the silver enemy that materializes in
front of you. Then, leap to the right where the gap is and you will
make a blind leap that lets you land on a moving green conveyor
platform that will let you grab a hamburger. Then, as your moving to
the right, leap to the right and land on the next green platform. Your
next task is a little tricky. You will have to time it right to leap
across the next two moving platforms that are floating up and down.
When you land on the second platform, duck and punch three times in
order to get the small white platform in the lower right hand corner to
move towards you. Next, when the platform starts moving towards you,
time your jump so that you land on it and then jump to the green
platform to the right to go through a secret entrance! Hit up to enter
through the door. Once inside, grab the 1000 points and hop over to
the right where Psylocke is and pick up the Havok Device that she gives
to you!
When you reappear, you will be on an orange platform and you will
see a silver enemy with a jet pack. Take him down with your claws and
continue on to the right and hop onto the magnetic green platform to
the right. Next, hop on the small orange platform above the green one
and then to the bigger one to the right. Next, hop on to the next
orange platform to the right but watch out for the silver enemy who is
trying to nail you with his grenade launcher. After you take him down
with your claws, hop up to where he was just standing, wait until the
silver enemy above you comes into range, jump and shred him in mid-air.
You should land on the green magnetic platform. Next, make you way up
the next two green platforms and tag the silver enemy when he appears.
Next, run and jump to the orange platform to the right and jump down to
where you can pick up a spirits bottle. Then claw away at the silver
enemy that appears to the right.
Here, get a running start and jump to the right as you get to the
edge in order to pick up the 1UP icon to the right. Hit the orange
platform running and swipe at the silver enemy when he materializes.
Then hop up to the platform to the right and swing at the same time to
pick off the silver enemy. Jump up to the next orange platform to the
right and run and claw at the silver enemy when he comes into view.
Keep running and jump up three more platforms while ignoring the
airborne enemies who are trying to nail you with their bombs. When you
get the third platform run and jump down to the next one to the right
and tag the silver enemy that comes into sight. Then jump down to the
next green one to the right and ignore the airborne enemy. Finally,
make one final leap to the right in order to find the exit door to this
trial. You have now conquered your fear of heights.

LEVEL 03: TRIAL BY TRAPS
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
Here, as Sabertooth says, you are going to have to watch your step
bub. Make your way to the right but jump over the protruding spike to
the right and land on the next platform. Take out your claws, SNIKT,
and run past the spiked smasher when it goes down or else you will take
some major damage. Next, hope over the spikes to the right and duck
when you hit the next floor because a ninja is gunning for your head
with a Chinese star with your name on it. When he gets in close, let
him have it. Then continue on to the right where you will have to make
a timed jump. Watch the pendulum ax and wait for it to swing to the
right. When it does jump up to this platform and duck and crawl all
the way until you start swimming in the water. Then, swim all the way
across to the right and dodge and rocks that come out along the way.
When you get past the second set, jump out of the water and tag the
ninja while hopping onto the platform. Then, jump to the right to land
on the next one. Now, you will have to duck and then crawl past the
pendulum ax that is swinging back and forth. When you get past the ax,
stay low and take out the ninja to the right.
Now, make you way past the falling rock trap and jump up to the
platform to the right and then to the right again. Then, jump up to
the platform to the left and then the next one to the left but watch
out for falling rocks. Timing is of the essence. Next, hop onto the
platform to the left but do not go too far unless you want to get
caught on a spike. Then hop on the platform above you and then the
next two to the right above you. Make your way up the next two
platforms to the left and grab the much needed grub in the form of a
hamburger along the way. Be careful, hop on the platform to the left
and do not stop on the swinging pendulum hammer's account. Leap to
the next platform to the right and hop up onto the platform above you,
duck, and then jump to the ledge to the left. Walk a little bit to the
left to reveal the smashing spike trap and the run to the left when the
trap goes back down. When you get by this trap, duck and then crawl
towards the black ninja and claw his eyes out. Finally, head on
through the secret door to the left and low and behold you will find
two hamburgers, 1000 points, and a Free Game icon.
Now we have to find a way out of this level. When you reappear,
run to the left and watch out for the smash spike trap. Head on down
to platforms and when you fall to the second duck and take out the
awaiting ninja that approaches from the right. Then, move to the left
and watch out for the protruding pendulum that pops up now and then.
Next, jump to the left and make your way up the three platforms, right,
left, right, and up to the left where you will have to dishonor another
ninja. After that, make your way up to the next platform and run to
the left past the swinging pendulum ax and take a dip in the pool. You
may take a little bit of damage but it a helluva lot easier than the
alternative. Finally, hop out of the water and exit through the door
to the left and you have now disarmed trial number three.

LEVEL 04: TRIAL BY WATER
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
On this level, you will be doing a lot of swimming so dive right
into the right and sink on down to avoid the probes to the left. When
you get to the bottom, swim in between the water turrets and continue
on paddling to the right. Then, head on up to the right and hop on
out. Let your air meter build up and head on back into the water to
the right. Let yourself sink down and let the shark probe pass under
you before sinking down to the left. Steer clear of the turrets to the
right and continue to the right when you reach the bottom. Before
surfacing, let the shark probe pass from right to left above you and
head out of the water on the platform to the right. Up here, you will
find a spirits bottle. Now, let your air build back up and head back
into the water and sink down and then swim to the right wile avoiding
the turrets on the top and bottom. Then, sink straight down in the
middle to avoid the turrets on both sides but do not sink too fast
because there is a fan turret waiting for you at the bottom. Finally,
surface to the left, hop out of the water and swing away at the scuba
man before he can get a shot off.
Now, jump the gap to the right, duck the scuba man's shot, and the
nail him with your claws. Get a running start and snag the spirits
bottle to the left to regain some lost strength. Now swim all the way
down and avoid the shark probe and the missile turret at the bottom,
swim to the right, and hop out of the pool by going up and to the
right. See that door, good, watch out for Mr. Bubble and head on
through the door. Grab the hamburger that is to the right but jump
over the Scuba Device to the right. Go behind Jubilee to find another
Free Game Icon and then grab the Scuba Device that Jubilee has for you.
This will give you an additional 20 seconds of air underwater. Now,
jump back into the pool and sink to the bottom and to the right. Watch
out for the shark probe that moves from right to left and head up and
out of the water to the right. Jump the gap to the right and dispose
of the scuba man on the right. Then, hop in the water to the right and
sink on down but watch out for the shark probe and the fan turret at
the bottom. Surface on the small platform to the right and hop up onto
the next red platform to the right. Pop the bubbles that get in your
way. Now move to the right and jump over the turret into the pool and
then repeat the process three times to the right in order to grab
another sprits bottle. Do this one more time to the right and you will
grab another spirits bottle.
From here, hop back into the pool and sink down and swim to the
right and swim right past the scuba man by heading straight up. Do not
forget to avoid the two shark probes that move from right to left on
the way up to the surface. Hop out of the water to the left and run
straight until you get to the wall. Along the way, you will have to
contend with air bubbles and two scuba men so inch along until you make
it. Then, hop straight up four small platforms and hop into the water
to the right. You are going to have to avoid the moving fan turret and
then swim in between the turrets on the top and bottom of you and swim
along the surface towards the right when it allows you to. Next, swim
in between the turrets on the right and surface by hopping to the left.
Try to avoid the bubbles and pop them when you can and continue to the
left. When you see the scuba man to the left, immediately duck and
crawl towards him to swing at him. Then, hop across the small gap to
the left and claw the scuba man in the back before he can turn around.
Next, jump up onto the platform and make your way to the right and sang
the spirits bottle along the way. Now, make you way to the left by
hopping up the small platforms. They go up, then up left, then up
left, then up right, and then as you jump up right, nail the scuba man
with your claws.
Get ready to jump into the pool again to the right and sink down
to the bottom. Go in between the turrets to the right and eat the
hamburger in the upper left corner. Now if you want, swim to the far
right corner to grab another hamburger. Then make your way to the
surface by going up right but watch out for the shark probe along the
way. Next, stand on the platform to the left and pop bubbles until
your air reaches 45 again. When it does, head back into the water,
sink a little bit, and make your way to the left. Avoid the turrets
when doing so and snag the 1UP icon at the end and then head back the
way you came. From the platform, jump to the left from platform to
platform and dispose of the scuba men along the way in any fashion.
Also, watch out for them fragging bubbles that keep getting in the way.
After seeing where the air bubbles are coming from, hop up to the small
corridor and continue to the left while popping bubbles along the way.
At the end of this corridor is the exit and you have survived the water
trial.

LEVEL 05: TRIAL BY TERROR
++++++++++++++++++++++++++
As you start of in this nightmare, head on down to the right and
take out the slime creature to the right by ducking and punching. Then
hop over the green acid gap to the right. Take out the grim reaper
that is airborne with your claws and also take out the slime creature
as well before proceeding to the right. Watch out for the grim
reaper's skulls. When you see the skull stand to the right, duck down
in front of it and punch it until the skulls take out the Weapon X
zombie. Five shots should do the trick. Then, hop over the skull
stand and continue to the right. Take out the two slime creatures
above you and then jump up to take on the latter on top of the bones.
Take out your claws and wait for the Weapon X zombie to turn his back
on you and then claw him from the back. Continue to the right and jump
claw the grim reaper, and then punch out the slime creature. When you
see the next skull stand, use it to take out the ninja to the right
before proceeding. Then, hop over the acid pit to the right and punch
out the green slime creature. Next, hop over the skull stand and
attack the slime creature that is on top of the pile of bones. Then
jump claw the grim reaper and take apart the slime creature that
resides to the right.
Here, jump up to the next platform to the right and use the skulls
on the skull stand to take down the Weapon X zombie. Next, you will
have to jump across another acid pit. Then time your attack right to
take out the grim reaper in mid air as you leap to the next pillar.
Then hop across the next pillar and punch out the slime creature that
resides here. Finally, hop across one more acid pit and immediately
duck and crawl because there will be a ninja waiting for you on the
other side. Now, jump on down through the rabbit hole and try to grab
the hamburgers on the right and then left side as you are plunging
downward. When you reach the bottom, run to the right and defeat the
slime creature that is sitting on top of your coffin. Do the same for
the one on the left. Continue to the left and take out the slime
creature that is sitting on top of the bones. Use the skull stand to
the left to bring down another grim reaper. Make your way to the left
and defeat the Weapon X zombie by attacking it in the back with your
claws. Continue up the stairs to the left and take out the two slime
creatures that happen to be hopping about. This also applies to the
lonely one on the left.
Use the skulls on the skull stand to the left to trample the
Weapon X zombie, who is walking back and forth below you. Then make
your way to the left and clear the runway of the lone slime creature.
Then, get a running start and leap across and over the spikes to the
left. Use the skull stand to dismantle the grim reaper and the slime
creature that is residing on top of the bones and continue on to the
left. Dispose of the three slime creatures who are gathered around the
altar. Then, attack the Weapon X zombie, who is walking mindless back
and forth to the left, in the back with your claws. Continue to the
left and punch out the slime creature. Next, hop on the coffin in the
middle and grab a hamburger for the road. Then, continue to the left
and nail the Weapon X Zombie by jumping straight up and punching until
he is no more. Then, get a running start and leap across the pit of
spike onto the ledge to the left. Take out the slime creature on the
ledge and then jump up to the left and punch out another slime creature
before waking up from this nightmare. You will conquer your fear by
exiting through the door to the left.

LEVEL 06: TRIAL BY FIRE
++++++++++++++++++++++++
Man is it hot down here. Wait for the fire cloud to evaporate and
then jump across the fire pit but do not dawdle. Duck and bring them
claws out to take out the droid that walks towards you. Then, jump
across to the ledge on the right and take out another droid while
avoiding the flame man who is shooting fire grenades at you from below.
Next, jump to the next ledge and then immediately jump to the ledge to
the upper right or you will be toast, lava style. Hop up over the next
to ledges to the right and hop over the droid if possible. Then, leap
to the right and you should be able to land on the lower-most ledge
before the lava to the right. Hungry? Then quick jump to the left to
snag the hamburger and then quickly jump back to the right because the
ledge will not hold your weight. Jump to the next platform to the
right and claw out the droid and continue to the right by jumping down
to wear the spirits bottle is located. Then, leap across the lava gap
to the right, wait for the fire cloud to rise, and then leap across the
next lava gap to the right. You will have to do this one more time.
Then head on up the steps to the right and do not let the fire on the
third step, fifth, seventh, and eighth step burn your behind.
When you can, jump onto the white ledge to the left and then jump
over the fire pit to the left. Hop up to the next ledge and destroy
the droid that is patrolling this ledge. Then, hop to the right ledge,
and then right again to claw away at another patrolling droid. Watch
your step as you approach the fire pit and then jump over it when the
fire smoke evaporates. You will then have to jump over a droid to the
right, jump over the big fire, and then jump over another droid and the
over a small fire. One false move could cost you a life. After jumping
over this last obstacle, take apart the droid that approaches from the
right. Then hop on the platform onto the ledge and as it plummets
downwards, leap to the right in order to land on safe ground.
Immediately dismantle the droid who is waiting here. Then, jump across
the fire pit to the right. Hop on the ledge, it will fall so
immediately jump next to the big fire to the right and land right next
to it. Do not touch it because it spells instant death. Your next
move is to jump on the ledge to the left, jump to the next ledge while
clawing at the droid, and then jump to the next ledge to the left but
watch out for the heat pocket on the left of the ledge. Then, jump up
to the next ledge when the heat cloud evaporates and dismantle yet
another droid.
Here is how to fetch yourself another 1UP icon because I know that
you have seen it on the other side of the big bonfire. Jump to the
ledge to the left and then down on the second one. From the second
ledge, leap to the 1UP icon to the left and then immediately leap to
the ledge on the right. With practice, you will be able to do this
every time. Finally, leap across one more pit of lava and dismantle
the droid. Walk through the door on the left and cool off because this
trial is extinguished.

LEVEL 07: INTO THE FORTRESS
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Welcome to the fortress, as it is as huge as a maze, which will
have your fingers throbbing from hitting the jump button. Here we go.
Run down the stairs to the right and dodge the bullets that spew forth
from above. Hop over the opening and run past the motion gun. Jump
down, duck, and punch out the caterpillar. Then crawl to the right and
grab yourself a juicy hamburger. Continue crawling to the right and
dismantle the caterpillar that is in your way. Keep crawling to the
right and punch out the next caterpillar that gets in your way. When
you get to the opening, wait for the motion missile gun to fire its
weapon and then jump up and move to the left. Take cover under the
gray ledge and wait for the motion missile gun to fire its weapon and
then jump up and move to the right. Next, move down each tiny ledge on
the right and try to avoid the electrical impulses as you rappel down.
When you get to the last platform, leap across the spike pit to the
left. Then, hop up and run across through the left corridor. Time it
right and avoid contact with the motion gun by leaping to the platform
below it to the left and then to the next one on the left. Continue to
the left and take out the two guns along the way with your claws. Then
fall into the opening at the end of the corridor all the way down.
When you reach the floor, run to the right and pickup the two
hamburgers that were made your way.
Backtrack and jump up to the two platforms above and then right.
Here, you will have to run to the right and jump over four hurdles but
these hurdles are spikes and if you mess up, you will be impaled.
Don't even worry about the motion gun in the middle. When you get to
the edge, fall down and land. You will have to take down a missile
launcher soldier. Defeat these enemies the same as you did with the
Weapon X zombies. (In case you forget, use your claws when they walk
the other way.) The only difference is that they fire heat seeking
missiles so jump over them if they get one off. After disposing of the
soldier, jump up on the platform to the right and then claw out the
motion gun on route to the hamburger. Then, head back down to the left
and run past the motion guns. At the end of this corridor, you will
have to defeat another missile launcher soldier before proceeding.
Jump down the hole and then walk on down the steps to the right but
watch out for the lightning gun. In between charges, jump up to the
right, hop across the gap, and then you will have to hurdle over two
spike hurdles in order to obtain to hamburgers. Now, backtrack and
fall into the gap. You will have to jump over to spike hurdles but
this time, you will have to time your jumps so that you jump over the
spike hurdle after the electrical charge passes. Then, make your way
to the silver pillars and do the same by jumping from pillar to pillar.
Make sure that you are jumping from the farthest edge of the pillar or
you will not make the jump. After jumping over four spike pits,
continue on to the right.
Make you way up to the platforms by jumping upwards and dodging
electrical charges from the lightning guns and the motion guns. When
you make it to the top after jumping and dodging about ten or so guns,
continue to the right and follow the platforms to the left. When
jumping across the platforms, try not to worry about the motion guns
that are firing recklessly. Concentrate more on making sure that you
land on the platforms so that you do not get impaled. At the end of
the platform corridor, it will build up and there will be a hamburger
that will restore some of your lost strength. Then, continue jumping
from platform to platform to the right using the same strategy as
before. The difference here is that you will have to wait for the
silver enemies to dematerialize before jumping to the platform that
they occupy. There is one missile launcher soldier at the beginning
and there are five silver soldiers who appear and disappear. When you
get to the end of this corridor, as singled by the blue wallpaper, you
will have to run through two missile launcher soldier before walking
out the exit door of this maze. Compared to what you just went
through, these soldiers should be no problem for you. Your reward for
making it out of the maze in one piece is finding out that Sabertooth
has employed Magneto to try and stop you.

LEVEL 08: DEFEAT MAGNETO
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
This level makes the trial by fire level look like child's play.
This is where those Free Game icons that you've picked up will come in
handy. Proceed to the right by running down the ramp. When the silver
enemy appears, swing away and continue on to the right. Next, jump to
the right and make a blind leap of faith to the right and then jump
claw the silver enemy holding the grenade launcher to the left. Then,
hop the right platform (gold) and defeat the silver enemy when he
materializes. Afterwards, hop up on the small platform and then up and
then run to the right and jump across the spike pit to the right. Make
sure you time your jump when you are near the very edge or you know
what happens. When you jump across the second pit, you will have to
contend with another silver enemy. Put him in his place and leap
across to the gold platform to the right. Then, immediately duck
because most likely the silver enemy will get his shot off and then
disappear. When he reappears, tag him with your claws. Then fall on
down so that you land on top of the cannon and then jump to the purple
platform to the right. Then jump to the right to the green corridor.
You will have to deal with another silver enemy.
After you have defeated him, crawl to the right and fall through
the gap to the right. Taking out the silver enemy to the right of the
gap is optional. Go to the left and pick yourself up a spirit bottle
to help get you through the bad times. Then, jump over the purple
stinger floor to the right and run through the multi colored tunnel to
the right. You will have to dismantle a silver enemy along the way and
another one will appear above you as you exit. Take him out and the
hop to the right earth sphere, while clawing the flying silver enemy.
Then, jump to the right and wait for the electrical charge to be fired
and then proceed to the right. Run across on the conveyor floor and
jump over the spikes to the right. Take out the silver enemy and then
head on through the secret door. In here you will find two 1000 points
icons, 500 points icon, a hamburger, and a much needed 1UP icon. Exit
the room and backtrack to the earth sphere.
From the earth sphere platform, jump to the left to the gray
bridge and hop over the electric field to the small gray platform, next
to the spikes. Then, hop over the spikes and land on the conveyor
floor and then onto the small gray platform to the left. Next make a
leap of faith to the left over the spikes and you will land right
beside silver enemy with a grenade launcher. Slice through him the
first chance you get. Then, jump up to the gray steps, then the
conveyer floor and then up to the green patch to the left, up to the
gray platform and duck. Next, hop across the gap to the left and duck
again so that you do not get hit by the electrical charge. Hop onto
the electrical cannon and up to the gray platform. Next, jump onto the
small conveyer floor and nail the flying silver enemy at the same time
with those adamantium claws of yours. Make your way across and tag the
silver enemy that appears on the high gray pillar to the left. Then,
jump up there and continue to the left and ground the flying silver
enemy along the way. Continue to the left and peg the silver enemy as
he appears. Jump onto the gold platform to the left and kill the
silver enemy with the grenade launcher along the way. Continue left
and when the flying silver enemy comes into view, tag him in mid air
with your claws. Then, take out another silver enemy and run on to the
left. Make your way up to the gray platform and jump in between
electrical discharges to the left platform and then to the right
platform.
Time to jump and slice away. The final approach to Magneto starts
by running to the right and jumping over the grenade that the silver
enemy fires at you. When in range, sic him. Next, get a running start
and leap across so that you land on the green pillar to the right.
Then, jump straight up and take out the silver enemy that appears where
you have to jump to next. After you defeat him jump down to the purple
conveyer floor and take out the silver enemy because this is where you
have to jump to next. Then, leap down on the purple conveyor floor and
jumps across to the right so that you land on the earth colored
platform. Then leap across and swing your claws to take out the silver
enemy to the right. Run across this gray platform and jump across
again to the right and jump claw the flying silver enemy to the right.
Then jump to the right don to the earth colored platform and then up to
the gray platform where you will have to take out yet another silver
enemy. Continue to the right and you will have to make another huge
jump to the right and land on the green patch. Then take out another
silver enemy and make it to the earth platform to the right. Then jump
across the gap to the right (this is the last jump, I promise) while
taking down the flying silver enemy, land and hop over the electrical
impulses that come from the cannons. Finally, a couple more jumps to
the right and one more silver enemy and you will be ready to battle
Magneto.
MAGNETO BATTLE: When you reach Magneto, you will see magnetic balls
that come out from the different holes. Also, there is a magnetic
electrical field moving back and forth. First, make sure to whip out
those claws of yours. Second, take a stab at the electrical field and
then step back to avoid the falling magnetic balls. Rinse, wash, and
repeat. The field will crumble after five hits. Third, run on through
and peg Magneto with a slash of the claws and then get out of the way
when he throws his magnetic wave. When you here the noise that sounds
like a fog horn, that means he's charging, that is the time where he
can be hit. Hit him about four times and he will be defeated and he
will run away to his momma! Magneto has been defeated....but is this the
end?

LEVEL 09: THE FINAL BATTLE

SABERTOOTH BATTLE: Sabertooth is much like you in that he has a mutant
healing factor as well as super strong attacks in the form of Chinese
Stars. You could try to claw him to death but no matter how many times
you tag him, he will still be standing. So how do you defeat this
beast? First, do not equip your claws. We are going to use punches
for this battle. Second, try to lure him over to where you are
standing so you can jump over him. There is a cliff on the right so
move over to that area but do not get too close to the edge. Third,
when he throws his Chinese Stars at you, jump over them. When he
finally tries to jump over you to the right, run underneath of him and
hit him when he lands with a jab. This will smack him back a bit and
leave him off balance. Move right a little and jab him again. Move
right a little and jab him again and so on until you knock him clear
off of the cliff! Congratulations! You have beaten Wolverine and have
made this planet safe for mutants and humans alike...for now.
