Superstar Pro Wrestling was a Japanese Famicom (NES) wrestling game made in
1989. the engine was recycled to create the american World Championship
Wrestling (also for the NES).
how to play:
Opponent Standing:
A button: Kick
B button: Punch
you first must daze your opponent to grapple. depending on how worn down your
opponent is, it'll take a few kicks or punches to get them dazed, then walk
into them to grapple.
in grapple:
Selected Moves:
hold A+Direction, and release when powerbar is at full. the move is depended on
the direction
Common Moves:
B+Up does a body slam
B+Down does a headbutt
B+Left does a hammerthrow to the left
B+Right does a hammerthrow to the left
also...
doing Hammerthrows near the ropes will toss your opponent outside.
Fighting Outside:
A+Up to get back in
A+Down to go back out
B to pick the wrench up (wrenches randomly appear when a wrestler goes outside)
Top Rope Moves:
Climb to the top simply by walking towards the corner. your opponent must be
down fairly close, or you won't climb.
A button does a Splash
B button does a Kneedrop off the top
Opponent Down:
Press A to pin
Press B to pick opponent up
Opponent Running:
Pressing A or B will both do different moves that are dependant on your
wrestler.
Running at Opponent:
Pressing A or B will both do different moves that are dependant on your
wrestler.
Finishers: when your opponent is about done, get your opponent dazed close to
the middle of the ring, grapple, and hold A+B. if it was done right, the screen
will flash, and you will do your finisher.
Main Menu:
1 Player:
Singles Match, 1 Fall (Beat all the other wrestlers)
Tag Match, 1 Fall (Round Robin Tournament)
2 Player:
Singles Match, 3 Falls
Tag Match, 3 Falls
if you choose a Singles Match:
New Game

once you select your guy, you must choose 4 of each wrestler's 8 moves. the
screen to select moves will come up every time you wrestle, so if you don't
like the moves you chose the first time, you can choose different ones.
