4. Game Modes
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One Player - Single
===================
This is a one-on-one, single round fight, lasting 5 minutes. Winning the match
will allow you to advance to the next round against the next fighter. After
every match you win you will be given a password, so you can continue from the
same point at a later stage (or if you lose). The order you fight your
opponents in is completely random, and different every time.
One Player - Tag
================
This is similar to the "One Player - Single" mode. It is a single fight,
lasting 5 minutes. However, this time you are paired up with another character
against two opposing characters. You control whichever character is in the
ring for your side i.e. if you tag in the other character then you will switch
control to that character.
Two Player - Single
===================
This is a 15 minute, three round one-on-one fight, where the two human players
compete against each other.
Two Player - Tag
================
This is a 15 minute, three round tag team fight, where the two human players
compete against each other. The human players will always have control of the
wrestler currently in the ring, and can tag between the wrestler in the ring
and the one outside to change the character they are controlling.
While Running:
A - Headbutt
B - Clothesline
A+B - Stop Running
Facing Groggy Opponent:
A - Grapple (press different direction for each pre-selected grapple)
B - Grapple (press different direction for each pre-selected grapple)
A+B - Special Move/Finisher (when character is heavily damaged)
Beside Floored Opponent:
A - Pin
Beside Tag Partner:
A - Tag
Grapple Selection
=================
Before each match you have to select a grapple for each direction on the D-Pad
i.e. one for each of Up, Down, Left, and Right. Each wrestler has eight
different grapples to select from.
Power Bar
=========
During grapples a power bar will appear on screen, this indicates the amount
of damage dealt to the defending character. As you inflict damage on your
opponent, the bar will increase. When the bar is full, you can pull of your
character's special move. The screen will flash when a special move is used.
Introduction
============
Choosing your character is not very important in World Championship Wrestling.
All the wrestlers are of the same strength, the only difference is the
grapple animations shown in the game (as all of the grapples are of the same
power also). So, just pick your favourite, or else the guy with the cool
name! ^_^
