GAME INTRODUCTION
==================
After a bloody tour of duty in Vietnam, Frank Castle came home to
live a peaceful life with his family. But that came to a sudden,
violent end when his wife and children were killed in a botched mob hit.
Since then, Castle has taken up the guise of the Punisher, and dedicated
himself to eliminating criminals -- permanently! Viewed as a vigilante
hero by some and a criminal by others, the Punisher only knows one kind
of justice -- the kind that comes out of the barrel of the gun!
(Adapted from Marvel Universe Series III.) Now it is your turn to wage
a one man war on crime. Protect the innocent, and punish the guilty.
=======
WEAPONS
=======
UZI (standard weapon): Capable of pumping out 5 rounds per second, this
weapon is more than capable of taking out the numerous criminals that
run the streets.
ASSAULT RIFLE: Picking up this weapon will guarantee the Punisher a
greater chance of bringing a criminal down easily. This weapon is
capable of firing 10 rounds per second and should be used in short
bursts.
SUPER GUN: The most powerful weapon in the game. This weapon will
annihilate anything that moves. The gun will spew out approximately 25
rounds per second! The only way to obtain this gun is to complete a
stage with a 100% kill rating.
GRENADES: Pull the pin and let it fly. Grenades are good for taking
out enemies that are in the same blast radius. They are especially
useful when strafing an enemy.
ROCKET LAUNCHER: This weapon has the same effect that a grenade has on
an enemy. The difference is that you can aim it anywhere on the screen.
=====
ITEMS
=====
AMMO CLIPS: Will add 50 rounds of ammunition to your current gun
(weapon).
HEALTH KITS: Will replenish approximately 1/3 of your health.
DAILY BUGLE: A newspaper that will give you helpful gameplay tips.
BULLET PROOF VEST: Will increase the Punisher's stamina (life bar) by
1/4.
ASSAULT RIFLE (White Gun Icon): Pick up this and you will be given an
Assault Rifle complete with 250 rounds of ammunition.
GRENADES: Will add 5 grenades to your inventory.
ROCKET LAUNCHER: Pick up this and you will be given a Rocket Launcher
with four rockets. Use them wisely.
PUNISHER SKULL ICON: Picking up this icon will grant you an extra life!
==============
COMMON ENEMIES
==============
STREET THUGS: They are armed with pistols and will usually stop walking
to fire off three shots in succession.
MAFIA WISEGUYS: They will usually walk nonchalantly onto the scene and
will open fire with a semi-automatic handgun.
SNIPERS: Usually hang out behind windows and will usually shoot 4 round
of ammo at use in succession at you with a sniper rifle.
GREEN BERETS: They will usually drop down from above, run across the
screen, or will lie down and roll, all while firing automatic rifles at
you relentlessly until they hit you or perish. They are also known to
pop out from behind corners.
GANG LEADERS: They usually come equipped with either a chain gun or a
rocket launcher. When you see on of these enemies, try to take him out
fast. If you don't, they will surely do you in. Also, they are heavily
armored.
NINJAS: They are very quick and will usually fly and jump from out of
nowhere and are very hard to hit. Their primary weapons are Chinese
stars and knives.
SCUBA MEN: These enemies like to hide in the water. When they pop
their heads above water, they will come out firing.
====================
END OF LEVEL BONUSES
====================
At the end of each stage, you will be evaluated based on your
performance. Your percentage of enemies eliminated will dictate what
rewards you will receive to start the next stage. They are as follows:
80%: BONUS HEALTH
85%: BONUS AMMO
90%: BONUS GRENADES
95%: BONUS LIFE
100%: BONUS SUPERGUN
For example, if you had shot down 96% of the enemies on a certain
stage, you would receive bonus health, bonus ammo, bonus grenades, and a
bonus life!
==============
WALKTHROUGH
==============
++++++++++++++++
LEVEL 1: HITMAN
++++++++++++++++
PUNISHER: "Everyone fights to control the streets. The Hitman is just
another fighter waiting for the Punisher's knockout punch!"
STAGE 1.1
The first stage will open up on a New York street with lots of
things to destroy like a stop sign, park bench, etc. When you take out
the first three thugs, an Assault Rifle icon will appear. Shoot it to
pick it up. You should be in front of a white car. Shoot out the
manhole and collect the ammo icon. Watch out for the snipers in the
windows. Continue taking out anything that moves. In between the two
buildings, if you shoot the trashcan, you will find a health kit.
Continue past the second building and you will see a green beret jump
down from above and a mafia wiseguy. Take them out quickly. The screen
will continue to advance and the enemies will keep coming. When you
hear the blues player play, don't shoot him. He is an innocent
bystander! Shoot him for a laugh if the music he is playing starts to
get on your nerves, but you will lose some health if you do!
The hydrant to the right of him contains a health kit. When you
come to the next building, you will see a white car. In between the
crossfire, shoot the roof of the car and it will reveal an Assault
Rifle. More enemies will come and in the alley is a trashcan. Shoot it
to unveil the grenades. You will pass by another two buildings. There
will be another trashcan after the second building. Snag the newspaper
to get the helpful tip. Also, the small Coke sign above it is housing a
health kit. Continue mowing down the enemies and take out the four
windows in the alleys. One of them will contain an ammo clip. Finally,
you will see a subway entrance. Shoot at it to bring out the GO arrow.
Shooting the Go arrow will allow you to enter the subway which is a
bonus world.
Now you are in the subway and will have to fight green berets
running around down here. In between the gunfights, shoot out the
window on the door which reveals a bullet proof vest. Next, shoot out
the first window on the subway car to gain five more grenades. The
window reveals a health kit. Then take out the window after the double
doors to acquire five more grenades. Finally, shooting out the last
window will net you another health kit. Don't forget to shoot and ammo
clips that are dropped after they are disposed of. You will need any
ammo that you can get! Hence, you will leave the bonus world and will
be back above ground.
When you arrive, there will be three thugs to take out. Also,
shooting the hood of the car to the right will net you a health kit.
Get ready for an ambush and come out gunning. Then, shoot out the park
bench to gain another assault rifle, the stop sign for an ammo clip, and
the manhole for another bullet proof vest. Watch out for the berets in
the alley. Continue taking down the scum and shoot out the top right
window of the building to read the newspaper. Then, shoot out the BEAM
sign to snag another health kit. Continue gunning down the criminals
and pepper the manhole to gain the rocket launcher. You get four so use
them sparingly. If you want to have a little fun, use this weapon to
demolish the white car big time. When you have reached the STOP
sign/ONE WAY sign at the end of the long alleyway stage 1.1 will be
completed. Prepare for your evaluation.
STAGE 1.2
You will begin this board in a long alley and will be attacked by
green berets. Just gun them down one by one. If you shoot the trashcan
to the right of the three street signs, you will gain a health kit.
Shooting the small Coke sign above it will net you an ammo clip.
Continue mowing down thugs and snipers until you come to the purple car.
If you pummel the car roof, you will gain another newspaper. Next,
destroying the HELO sign will give you another health kit. Then destroy
the second small window at the top of the screen to receive another ammo
clip. Then as the purple car passes, destroy the roof to earn an
Assault Rifle with 250 rounds. Take out the mafia wiseguys and shoot
the first small window above the storefront to score 4 Rockets. You
will hear the blues player play a tune. Shoot the small window above
him to gain another ammo clip.
Continue taking out the criminals. When you see the small Coke
sign between buildings, nail it to receive a bullet proof vest.
Continue destroying the thugs until you reach the next manhole. Shoot
the manhole to uncover yet another bullet proof vest. This vest should
max out your life meter! The third small Coke sign will net you a
health kit and if you destroy the BEAM sign, you will uncover another
ammo clip. Finally, when you reach the manhole at the end of the alley,
shoot at it and enter the bonus world when the GO arrow appears.
In this bonus world, you will enter the sewers and there are no
ninja turtles down here eating pizza, just green beret that want to put
a cap in your behind! If you shoot the box at the top of the stairs,
you will earn an ammo clip. Next, shooting the blue pipes will net you
two ammo clips and a health kit. Shoot the green berets that are
hanging upside-down and tag the next blue pipe to earn another health
kit. After tagging two more green berets, you will head back up to
street level again.
When you arrive out of the sewers, take out the two mafia wiseguys
and pick up the newspaper above them. Next, shoot out the second small
Coke sign and snag the ammo clips. Take out the BEAM sign if you need
the bullet proof vest. Otherwise, continue to mow down the green
berets. Continue to take out the thugs and snipers that litter the
streets. Then, shooting out the second small window to the right of the
storefront will net you a health kit. Pegging the small Coke sign will
give you another ammo clip. Then, continue to kill the green berets but
do not shoot the blues player! Shoot the last window on the right to
obtain another ammo clip. In the big gap, shooting out the BEAM sign
will grant you a health kit. When the next manhole appears on the
scene, shoot it to uncover another ammo clip. Continue gunning down bad
guys until you see the second Coke sign. Shoot it out to gain another
ammo clip. Taking out the last five green berets on the board will
signal the end of stage 1.2.
STAGE 1.3: BOSS BATTLE VS. HITMAN
Hitman will appear on the screen in a helicopter and will fire his
30mm chainguns at you. To take out his chainguns, dodge the bullets
that are fired at you an use the rocket launcher by targeting them. If
you have grenades, instead dodge the enemy fire and then throw a grenade
at them while moving. Continue this process until both guns are
dismantled. His energy should be at half life. Next, continue to
target the cockpit of the helicopter. When the Hitman opens it up to
fire back, blast him with your Uzi or Assault Rifle until he starts
throwing grenades. Dodge them at all costs. Repeat this process until
he is slumped over. The helicopter will crash land and it will be
wrecked. This turn of events, marks the end of Hitman and concludes
Level 1.
++++++++++++++++
LEVEL 2: JIGSAW
++++++++++++++++
PUNISHER: "We put them behind bars...but we still can't control them.
Gotta scatter Jigsaw's pieces. Make the system right!"
STAGE 2.1
This level starts you off on the harbor on the way to Alcatraz.
Take out the two thugs hanging out here. One of them will drop an
Assault Rifle. Do not bother shooting the crates because it is a waste
of ammo. When you see the last set of crates before the pier break,
shoot the support below the middle of them to gain an ammo clip.
Continue mowing down any foes that challenge you. Then shoot the third
support from the end of the pier to gain another ammo clip. Also, tag
the newspaper as well. There will be a big gap between the piers. Look
for the scuba men's' shadows and when they pop their head above water,
drill them.
The first support on the next pier contain a health kit. Continue
shooting the green berets that run by and ignore wasting ammo on the
crates. Shoot the newspaper on top of the shack and continue wasting
any green berets. When you see the next four crates, shoot the support
below after the crates to gain five more grenades. Again, ignore the
next set of crates and concentrate your fire on the green berets and
dodging their assault. You will finally find a bullet proof vest if you
shoot the first support below the opened shack. Also, if you tag the
last support below the opened shack, you will find four rockets! Then
shoot the first crate to obtain another bullet proof vest! Ignore the
four crates and concentrate on firing upon your enemies. Then, hit the
middle crates which is to the left of the blues player to obtain an
Assault Rifle with 250 rounds of ammo.
When you reach the end of the pier, shoot out the lights at the
bottom of the screen to gain a much needed health kit. Then, take out
the scuba men using the same process as before. You will then be
treated to a view of the outside of Alcatraz. Taking out the spotlight
will grant you nothing. Then take out the snipers who are on the roof
as they pop their heads up. If you destroy the third spotlight, you
will acquire a health kit. The big spotlight at the end of the roof
marks the completion of stage 2.2.
STAGE 2.2
This stage will start you inside the prison itself where two thugs
are waiting to be punished. After disposing of them, shoot out the
computer in the watch tower to gain an ammo clip. Next, take out the
green berets that fall from above and destroy the swinging light to gain
a health kit. Destroying the T.V. next to it will afford you another
bullet proof vest. The enemies will continue to come in droves. Shoot
out the second security keypad (looks like a wall socket) and uncover an
Assault Rifle. Continue the assault on the criminals and snag the
newspaper when the next T.V. appears on screen. Next, taking out the
next T.V. will grant you a health kit. Also, destroying the computer in
the security tower will reveal an extra life! Finally, shooting the
swinging light will give you another bullet proof vest. This will max
out your life meter. Berets will usually fire machine guns at you but
watch out for the ones that throw grenades and hang upside down. Do not
forget to grab the health kit that is on top of the third cell. Shoot
this place to get it. Hit the next swinging light to obtain another
ammo clip.
You will then hear the blues player begin to play. Shooting out
the wall around him will reveal an Assault Rifle and a health kit.
Shooting out the T.V. will grant you...nothing but the satisfaction of
destroying them. However, shooting the top of the third cell will give
you another ammo clip. Continue attacking the green berets that are
running around and plug the computer inside the watch tower to gain a
health kit. Finally, shoot out the word GATE on the doors to reveal the
GO arrow. Shoot this to enter the bonus world.
This will take you to the lower level of the prison. Taking out
the computer in the watch tower and the swinging light to the right will
net you an ammo clip a piece. Next, targeting the second cell will
grant you an ammo clip as well. To gain two more ammo clips, shoot the
next T.V. and the computer in the watch tower. The bar door with the
word GATE will lead you back upstairs.
When you arrive upstairs, shooting out the top of the last two
cells will give you an ammo clip and a bullet proof vest that you may or
might not need. This is where things will intensify. Get ready to
dodge and gun down anything that breathes because this is the finale of
stage 2.2. When you see the last T.V., nail it to grab yourself an
extra health kit. But before that, you will have to keep your finger on
the trigger until there are no more enemies left. Thus, this ends stage
2.2.
STAGE 2.3: BOSS BATTLE VS. JIGSAW
Jigsaw will start off in the middle of the screen. Pelt him with
as many bullets as you can. When he starts firing his sub-automatic
machine gun, start throwing grenades as you dodge his bullets. Shortly,
he will run off the screen and get right in your face. If you do not
move quick enough, he will smash your face with the butt of his gun.
Now this is the tricky part. You will have to use your hands and feet.
I recommend the feet. When he begins to move, push the kick button to
kick him in the head. When it connects, immediately dodge his fist.
Timing is everything. Keep repeating this until he runs back into the
background. Repeat the process of throwing grenades while dodging his
fire
as described above. Eventually, Jigsaw will be scattered and will keel
over. This marks the end of Level 2.
++++++++++++++++
LEVEL 3: KLIEGG
++++++++++++++++
PUNISHER: "Too many guns on the street. Makes my job tougher. Colonel
Kliegg's gun running must end."
STAGE 3.1
This level will start you back on the harbor with three green
berets running from right to left with gun a blazing. Take them down!
Shooting two out of the first four lower pier support will net you two
ammo clips. Also, shooting the left corner of the opened shack will
reward you with five more grenades. Then if you shoot the last support
underneath the opened shack, you will be reunited with the beloved
Assault Rifle. Finally, shooting out the second support before the pier
ends will net you some bathroom material. There will be a gap to the
next pier.
There is nothing in the first two crates. This is where the ninjas
will make their first appearance. Try to nail them as they land to
defeat them easy. Shooting bullets at them while they are in the air
most of the time will just hit air! Destroy the middle and the bottom
right crate in the set of four to reveal a health kit and an ammo clip.
Also, if you shoot the pier support below between the crates and the
opened shack, you will unveil another heath kit.
Do not bother shooting up the shack but you can grab the newspaper
if ya like. Then continue blasting anything that moves. When you see
the next set of four crates, the bottom right one is housing an ammo
clip. Remember, conserve as much ammo as possible. Then tagging the
second pier support after the crates will provide you will a much needed
bullet proof vest. Immediately, target the gang leader with the chain
gun and blow him away before he puts a serious hurting on you. Finally,
shoot the last pier support to gain a health kit.
There will be a small gap between the piers. Shooting the second
pier support will let you acquire another Assault Rifle. Then let the
fun begin by disposing of any criminals that rear their ugly heads.
Nothing is in the stack of next four crates this time. Now, concentrate
on nailing any green beret that appears on the screen until you get to
the six pack of crates. Shoot out the last one on the bottom right to
obtain four rockets. Then immediately target the gang leader with the
rocket launcher, shoot, then dodge his rockets or you will be dead.
Your next move is to knock out the pier light below the opened
shack and take out the green berets and thugs before picking it up. The
bottom crate to the right in the set of three hides an ammo clip. The
firepower will increase. Next, when you get to the set of four crates,
pegging the pier support below it in the middle will net you a bullet
proof vest. When you get beyond the next shack, be prepared to take
down another gang leader with a rocket launcher and a bad haircut. Do
not be to discouraged if you get hit because the pier support underneath
of him contains a health kit. Shoot out the last pier support to gain
five more grenades. This will bring about the demise of the first
stage.
STAGE 3.2
This stage starts off with an army of three in a warehouse. You
will notice right away that the intensity is stepped up a notch.
Destroy the first set of crates to gain an ammo clip. Next, after
disposing of the green berets, tag the top box in the pyramid of six to
reveal a health kit. Do not worry about the next six boxes because they
are empty but do pick up the paper. There is absolutely nothing in the
next two sets of crates so concentrate solely on the enemies. Finally,
shoot out the next door and you will see a GO arrow. Nail it to enter
the bonus world.
Right when you enter the bonus world, shoot out the first two green
vents to the left to obtain the bullet proof vest. Then, take out the
top left window to net five grenades. Then, destroy the top right
window in the next set of four windows to stockpile five more grenades.
When, you kill off the last hanging upside down berets, you will be
escorted from the bonus world.
Immediately concentrate your firepower on the gang leader with the
chaingun, in the top left corner of the steps. Also, shoot the door out
behind him to gain an ammo clip. Then shoot out he window to the right
to earn another five grenades. Shooting the left crates on the steel
beam will net you nothing but shooting out the top one on the right will
earn you a health kit. When you reach the elevator door, punch out the
middle left crate in the pile to acquire an Assault Rifle. Shoot the
enemies some more. Next, hitting the second window will earn you the
bullet proof vest that will max out your life meter. Continue taking
out any thugs and the like that appear. Next, tag the top box of the
six crate pyramid to snag another health kit. Then immediately take out
the gang leader with the rocket launcher who sits in front of the
elevator door. Apparently, he does not like you laughing at his
haircut. Also, shooting up the door to the right will reward you with a
health kit.
Next, shooting out the left crate in the pack of many will net you
an ammo clip. Take down the mafia wiseguys and company and shoot out
the crates to the right of the steel beam to earn another ammo clip.
Shooting out the middle crate in the six pack will reveal a health kit.
From there, shoot out anything that opposes you. Pick up the paper in
the top left window. Then, if you shoot out the top box of three next
to the steel beam, you will acquire another health kit. You are
probably wondering if this board will ever end. You get your answer as
five to eight berets come out of nowhere to ambush you. Punish the
guilty by filling them all with lead and this will conclude stage 3.2.
STAGE 3.3: BOSS BATTLE VS. KLIEGG
Kliegg is driving inside a tank. When he first treads onto the
scene from the left, pelt him with machine gun fire. When he starts
shooting, strafe left or right and throw a grenade while doing this.
The secret is not to worry about where the grenades go. Just throw them
and worry about dodging his onslaught. Besides, you should have picked
up plenty of grenades from the level before. When his life is at half
mast, he will still shoot you but you will have to strafe/dodge quicker
and throw grenades because you've only ticked him off but taking out his
treads. When he only has a little bit of life left, the top of his tank
will be destroyed and Col. Kliegg will lift up the hatch. When he does,
shoot him with everything you've got and dodge his fury of bullets.
With enough perseverance, this tough S.O.B. will go down!
++++++++++++++
LEVEL 4: SIJO
++++++++++++++
PUNISHER: "Ninjas are said to be super human. These street are for
human. No room for Sijo in this city...Not even in our sewers!"
STAGE 4.1
This level takes you back to the streets. Destroy the BEAM sign
that appears in the background to gain an ammo clip. Then its open
season on any green berets that happen to be passing through. Shooting
the second manhole will reveal a health kit while shattering the second
window behind the fence will earn you five grenades. Next, destroy the
next two BEAM signs to gain two more ammo clips. Do not forget to tag
the newspaper under the second BEAM sign as well. When you reach the
first building, take out the thugs and watch out for the snipers in the
windows. When you come to the subway entrance, do what the newspaper
says. Shoot the subway and when the GO arrows appears, take the subway
and enter the bonus world.
Smashing the first two windows on the train door will net you two
health kits. Watch out for the thugs that occupy the platform. next,
take out the tooth booth window to earn and ammo clip and a Punisher
icon will appear. Tag it to snag an extra life. Shooting out the first
train door window will reveal an ammo clip. After the two snipers who
appear in the train windows are disposed of, you will leave the bonus
world and be back on street level.
When you reappear, take out the three thugs standing around and
shoot the bottom right most window in the background to gain a crucial
ammo clip. To conserve ammo, just focus your firepower on any thug or
green beret that appears. When you see the next BEAM sign, trash it to
gain another ammo clip. You will have to rely mostly on the fallen
criminals who drop ammo clips until you reach the small Coke sign after
the building. When you see it, tag it to gain an Assault Rifle with
plenty of ammo. Ahh, that's refreshing! Shooting the second small Coke
sign before the second building will net you a newspaper. Now, open
fire on the gang leader with the rocket launcher as soon as he is in
sight. Then demolishing the BEAM sign will net you yet another Assault
Rifle.
The ammo crisis is now over. Shooting out the next manhole you see
will get you another ammo clip and continue mowing down anything that
breathes until you hear the blues player. Do not shoot him because you
cannot afford to lose the life. About this time, you will encounter
ninjas jumping on and off the screen. Nail them when they land on the
ground. Destroying the trashcan will net you a health kit but there is
no treasure in the rest of the trash. After you defeat the gang leader
with the chain gun, you will have survived stage 4.1.
STAGE 4.2
The battle continues in New York's sewers. Continue defeating any
ninja that jump through the air as they land and any green berets that
rain down from above. Also, collect the newspaper. Too bad this paper
doesn't have a comics section. Destroying the bottom of the second
sewer pip[e will reveal and ammo clip. Immediately after, set your sets
on the emerging gang leader with the chain gun. After the segway,
destroy the box at the top of the ladder to gain a bullet proof vest
which are scarce on this level.
The, putting holes in the top of the blue pipe will reveal a much
needed health kit. Also, targeting the box at the top of the stairs
will grant you an ammo clip. Of course, continue to pepper any enemy
that appears in plain site. When you arrive at the next blue sewer
pipe, shoot the top of it to gain another clip. If you take out the
thug to the right of the second pipe, he will drop an Assault Rifle if
you are lucky. Time for payback and now you have the ammo to do it!
Take out the small sewer pipe to gain an ammo clip. Also, if you take
out the box at the top of the stairs, you will be treated to a health
kit. Lollipop not included. Next, shooting out the next small blue
pipe will give you another health kit. And, if you shoot out the
concave next to the second small blue pipe, you will discover an extra
life. Putting holes in the top of the next pipe will net you an ammo
clip. Which you will need to take on the gang leader holding the rocket
launcher.
Then, proceed to destroy the bottom of the sewer pipe next to the
blues player to acquire a health kit. When you see the segway,
immediately pelt the gang leader holding the rocket launcher. Then,
nail the top of the blue pipe to replenish any lost health with the
health kit. You will need it against Sijo because this is the end of
stage 4.2.
STAGE 4.3: BOSS BATTLE VS. SIJO
Sijo will first appear in the center of the screen but will not
stay there long. Pump a few rounds into him and get out of the way when
he performs his leaping overhead strike attack. Dodge left or right
when he leaps from side to side. After his sword misses from the
overhead strike, plant a kick on him and immediately dodge left or right
to avoid is horizontal sword strike. Continue doing this until he
retreats back into the background. then, shoot him with you Uzi until
he starts throwing chinese stars. When he does, dodge/strafe left or
right while throwing grenades at him. If you do not have any, then just
dodge them. When he is done throwing stars, get out of the way when he
performs his leaping overhead sword strike attack. See a pattern
developing? Good. With enough patience and some well timed kicks to
the head, you will survive this battle and dishonor Sijo.
++++++++++++++++++
LEVEL 5: ASSASSIN
++++++++++++++++++
PUNISHER: "In the urban jungle...there is one man who stands alone.
The others are endangered...soon to be extinct. The Assassin is on that
list."
STAGE 5.1
Get ready to raid another weapons warehouse, Punisher style. Go in
with guns drawn and take out the top of the steel beam to reveal a bonus
life! Then take out the top carton right next to it to gain an ammo
clip. Most of the criminals that occupy this level will be thugs and
green berets. Next, shoot out the carton to the right of the elevator
door to reveal another ammo clip. Continue taking out the bad guys
until you reach the gang leader at the top of the stairs. Take him out
with your Assault Rifle because tossing a grenade will not reach him.
Shooting out the door above him will net you a health kit. Next, take
out the vent to the right to snag another Assault Rifle. When you reach
the next set of cartons, take out the middle right one to acquire an
ammo clip. Then, take out the bottom right one on the other side of the
gray pole to gain a health kit. Plug away at those who oppose you until
you reach the next gray steal beam. Shoot the carton to the right of it
to net yourself another ammo clip. Then destroy the middle right one in
the next set of cartons to gain a health boost. When you move past the
elevator door, immediately target the rocket launching gang leader at
the top of the stairs. He isn't that tough anyway, just tough looking.
Finally shoot at the cave to unveil the bonus world via pegging the GO
arrow!
This will place you somewhere in the back of the warehouse. Shoot
out the middle window in the set of three to gain an ammo clip. Don't
try this at home. Next, destroying the first and third carton to the
right of the green beam will give you two more ammo clips. Then
shattering the fourth window next to the green beam will get you...a
brand new car! Not true, but it will give you five more grenades.
Finally, you are shown the door back to the front of the warehouse.
When you reappear, shooting out all of the cartons will let you hit
the jackpot by revealing two ammo clips, an Assault Rifle, and a health
kit. Do not forget to dispose of anything that shoots at you. Next,
taking out the middle bottom carton of the second set will yield you
another Assault Rifle. If you whack the carton in the middle of the
next set, you will gain four rockets. Continue dealing out death to any
green berets that graces your presence and take a second to grab and
read the newspaper sitting in front of the steel beam in between. Two
steel beams later, take out the bottom of it to acquire a bullet proof
vest and destroy the top left carton to reveal a health kit. Do not
rest on your laurels because you will have to defeat an angry, chain
gunning gang leader in front of the elevator door. Taking down the
remaining green berets will end this stage.
STAGE 5.2
Another sewer?!? Ah this stage reeks of repetitiveness but who
said crime fighting was easy? Here we go. Take out the second blue
pipe to gain access to an Assault Rifle. Then proceed to kill the gang
leader toting the chain gun after a short silence. Shoot the concave
next to the blue pipe to unveil an ammo clip. Then take on the green
berets and ninja as they land. Thugs are dying to be shot as they walk
in front of your bullets. Putting holes in the next two pipes will
grant you five more grenades. Keep firing upon anything that moves but
the blues player.
If you shoot the top ledge to the right of him, you will find a
hidden bullet proof vest. For some reason on this level, this item is
hard to find. Shoot the blue pipes for the hell of it and read the
paper only if you want to. But after the third blue pipe, make sure to
make quick work of the gang leader toting the rocket launcher at the top
of the screen. Then shoot the pipe to the right of him to gain another
Assault Rifle. Continue disposing of the green berets and shoot the
next pipe you see to gain a health kit. The second and third pipe
contain nothing. Also, the big blue pipe contains nothing so pepper it
only if you are bored. Ah, the next blue pipe contains an ammo clip and
the concave to the right of it contain a bullet proof vest. As Ash
would say, "Groovy!"
Continue dominating anything that moves and when you arrive at the
ladder, target it and fire away to gain an ammo clip and the concave
next to it will grant you another bullet proof vest. Then, shoot the
concave next to the big blue pipe to reveal another ammo clip. No need
to read the newspaper, because by now, you know all the secret tips!
After taking down the last two guards behind the twin small blue pipes
the stage will finally end and you have an assassination to attend.
STAGE 5.3: BOSS BATTLE VS. ASSASSIN
This robotic boss is real easy to defeat. When he appears in the
middle of the screen, shoot him with as many bullets as you can dish out
before he shoot his arm cannon from his left arm. If his does this,
dodge immediately and peg him with grenades while dodging. When his
life is approximately 1/3 depleted his left arm will fall off and he
will comically look at it with a puzzled look. Then continue pelting
him with steady fire until his right arm falls off. This will happen
when his life is approximately 2/3 depleted. If he shoots at you before
his arm falls off, used the method of dodging and throwing grenades.
Finally shoot whatever is left of the assassin until he falls to his
knees into a heap of junk! Besides, you have bigger fish to fry and it
is now time to topple the Kingpin.

FINAL LEVEL: KINGPIN
+++++++++++++++++++++
PUNISHER: "They laugh at the law from behind office door. The Kingpin
will learn Don't laugh at me!"
STAGE 6.1
This battle will take place on in the inner city of New York in
front of Ed's Bar. For some unknown reason, I decided not to shatter it
but don't let that stop you from doing it! Anyway, watch out for
snipers and green berets for the battle will be intense from here on
out. Shoot out the manhole at the top of the screen to discover an ammo
clip. Then, take out the trashcan to the left of the gang leader and
shoot behind him to gain a health kit. Continue, gunning down anybody
that fires at you and shoot the next small Coke sign you see to amass
five grenades. Clocking the second manhole will revel four shiny new
rockets. Merry Christmas! Then, shatter the second window from the
door to the right to gain a health kit. Destroy the gang leader with
the chaingun and the sign behind him to gain an ammo clip.
You will be dodging a ton of enemy fire as the level progresses.
When you arrive at the next building, shoot out the sniper behind the
glass marked DELI. Then shoot the last windows at the top to acquire a
health kit. Next, tag the small Coke sign to gain another ammo clip.
When you reach the next building, shatter the window to gain another
ammo clip and shoot out the chaingun gang leader.
Shattering the middle window to the right will reveal a health kit.
Then, knocking over the trashcan will reveal an Assault Rifle and the
next manhole will net you five grenades. Finally, if you shoot the roof
of the car, you will receive an extra life. A blues singer breaks up
the monotony as you continue to whack the mafia wiseguys. Then, shoot
the first small Coke sign that appears to gain a bullet proof vest.
Proceed to wash that down with an ammo clip from the trashcan and a
health kit from the manhole. Peppering the next manhole will grant you
a newspaper...what a waste. This will conclude stage 1 of 4 in this
level.
STAGE 6.2
The road continues to the final showdown with the Kingpin.
Shooting out the first manhole will reveal five grenades, but you will
be under heavy fire from the green berets and ninjas. Do not worry
about picking through the trash. Nothing important here. Taking out
the manhole by the car will grant you five more grenades and shattering
the window to the left of Ed's Bar will net you a bullet proof vest.
Destroying the next park bench you see will give you an Assault Rifle.
And that's not all. If you shoot the manhole in front of the car, you
will be given an ammo clip free of charge. Then don't get too cocky
because you will have to deal with another gang leader toting a rocket
launcher who is perched on the steps.
Your next move is to tip over the trashcan to gain access to
another Assault Rifle. Tagging the manhole to the right will net you
five more grenades. If you destroy the park bench, you will be rewarded
with a health kit. Have your trigger finger ready and dispose of
anything that moves and then shoot the manhole in front of the next car
you see to gain another Assault Rifle. You will need it because an all
out gun battle will ensue. When you reach the next car, take apart the
roof to reveal a health kit, and shatter the windows on the building to
unveil another health kit and an ammo clip. Another blues player will
pierce the silence of the night.
Shoot the next manhole that appear to gain another ammo clip and
topple the trashcan at the top of the screen as well. Fallen enemies
will drop various items such as ammo clips and health kits but take out
the next park bench you see to gain another ammo clip anyway. Then,
shooting the manhole by the car will net you a health kit and killing
off the last of the green berets will conclude stage 6.2.
STAGE 6.3
You will continue the battle in the corporate offices on the
Kingpin. Break the door to gain an ammo clip. Then mow down any
enemies that appear. Shoot out the four windows that appear to gain a
health kit and an Assault Rifle. Make quick work of the gang leader
equipped with the chain gun who is standing in front of the elevator
door like he owns the joint. Continue eliminating the threat of
opposition and take out the second vent shaft of the twins to acquire
five grenades. Do not shoot the blues player but do shoot out the lower
left window of the four to reveal five more grenades.
Then, confront the gang leader with the chaingun with some
firepower of your own. Taking out the first of the twins vents will
give you a health kit. The plan is simple, see an enemy appear, make
enemy dead. After you see the four windows, shoot out the first of the
next two windows to gather another bullet proof vest. Then proceed to
knock down the door to gain another ammo clip. Continue killing
anything the moves and knock down the next door and you will receive
five more grenades. But stay alert, because the next door after that is
housing a rocket launching gang leader.
The next section of windows that appear contain a health kit. The
one after that contain an ammo clip. When you reach the blues player,
you are almost at the end of this stage. Shoot out the left vent of the
twins to discover a health kit. Then, take out the rocket launching
gang leader quickly who is lurking in a doorway. Finally, take care of
whatever green berets are left and you will be appear to see the
Kingpin. No appointment necessary!
STAGE 6.4: THE FINAL SHOWDOWN WITH KINGPIN
The Kingpin will stand in the middle to start the battle and will
be shooting two exploding bullet at a time at you. Remember all the
grenades that you've picked up? Time to start unloading them. Dodge
left and right while throwing a grenade when you are centered with him.
The second part is that he will get up in your face and bash you with a
double handed overhand strike. Dodge this attack and kick him in the
face. Once again timing is everything. When the kick connects, quickly
dodge to the left or the right or he will clock you with a haymaker.
When he retreats back into the background, he will begin firing two
exploding bullets at you at a time. Now, you have cracked his pattern!
With enough grenades and kicks to the head, the Kingpin will weeble,
wobble, and will fall down. Congratulations! Enjoy the ending sequence
and the satisfaction of making the streets a little safer at night.
