===================================DISCLAIMER==================================
I have decided not to allow websites other than Gamefaqs (www.gamefaqs.com),
IGN (faqs.ign.com) & Gamespot (www.gamespot.com) to host my FAQs from now on.
Please don't ask, because I will not grant permission.  It's just that too many
sites don't keep their version of my FAQ up to date which makes for a lot of
hassle in my mailbox.
So if anyone sees this FAQ on any site other than those mentioned above, please
let me know and I will take care of the situation, thanks.

Just to make things crystal clear for some people, this FAQ is not to appear
anywhere at the following URLs:

###############################################################################
                              (B) INTRODUCTION
###############################################################################

Krion Conquest is a blatant Megaman clone.  From the game mechanics, the
weapon/power selection, the broom being a rip-off of Rush Jet from those games,
right down to the fact that the main character is a different-coloured Megaman
sprite with some minor changes.

Krion conquest is a lot harder than most Megaman games though and it's not
nearly as good as them, but if you've got nothing better to try why not?

###############################################################################
                                (C) CONTROLS
###############################################################################

The controls for this game are very simple, and are as follows:

Dpad - Move your character, crouch [down], angle shots [up].

A - Jump.
B - Fire shots, hold to charge shots or use some magic powers.

Start  - Pauses the game and brings up the menu [where you can choose
        different powers].

###############################################################################
                              (D) ITEMS/POWERS
###############################################################################

=====
Items
=====

Health - Comes in small and large variety, the small pieces of health refill a
        single segment on your meter.  The large pieces of health restore X
        segments on your health meter.

Extra Lives - These look like a small witch doll.

======
POWERS
======

When you pause the game and bring up the menu, you are able to choose from a
number of powers.  These powers are described below.

------
NORMAL
------

- Your normal shots.

----
FIRE
----

- A huge phoenix appears on the screen and kills everything on it at the time.
 Very helpful, but it also takes four segments away from your health meter
 each time you use it.

------
FREEZE
------

- If you charge your shots [by holding B] you will release a shot that can
 freeze...

----
BALL
----

- Your shots are replaced with balls that fly diagonally and bounce off
 anything.

-----
BROOM
-----

- Shoot once to call your broom, then jump on it and shoot again to make it
 travel forward.  You can also hold up when you shoot to make the broom fly
 up.  However if your head hits a ceiling or the broom hits an object it
 disappears, and sends you falling down to the ground.

###############################################################################
                               (E) WALKTHROUGH
###############################################################################

You will find the walkthrough for the entire game in the sections below.

###############################################################################
                               (E-01) ROUND 01
###############################################################################

=========
Round 1-1
=========

Shoot a pair of springs to your right and drop down the hole to reach the next
screen.

Here you can pause the game and use FIRE if you want to get rid of the enemy,
but that takes away four segments of your health meter, while if you get hit it
only takes away two segments.  So really you have nothing to lose by trying to
jump through the shots yourself, you might make it safely through.  Just don't
try to walk through because you will ALWAYS get hit this way.  Once through
drop down the hole to reach the next screen.

Shoot the pair of enemies before jumping over the wall and killing a group of
springs, then jump over the next wall to find a new type of enemy.  These guys
usually fly past you once, then come back and dive-bomb you.  They're very
annoying so I find it works best to shoot [up if you need to] them down before
they start diving, I'll be calling them divers from now on.  Kill the group of
divers and jump up the platforms before dropping down the hole on your right.

Shoot the spring and head left past the shots, then fall down the hole.

Use your broom to fly right before dropping right to the ledge, then jump the
cyborg's shots as you kill him.  Use the broom to go left across the spikes,
then drop down the hole.

Kill the cyborg here and carefully jump right while killing flying enemies,
then jump up to the next ledge.  Crouch and shoot to take out the turrets, then
continue right and get rid of all the flying enemies.  Use your broom to get
over the wall, then fall down the hole to finish this round.

=========
Round 1-2
=========

Kill the pair of divers and head right to kill another pair, then use the broom
to get over the wall.  Use normal or ball shots to kill the springs before
falling down the hole.

Use the broom to fly left up and over the spikes, then drop down the hole.

kill the pair of springs and continue right to fight more springs and a few
divers, then use your broom to cross the spikes as you shoot a small group of
divers.  Use your broom to get up the wall before shooting the nearby enemy,
then equip the ball power and drop down the hole.

Use your balls to kill the cyborg beyond the shield and the turret above, then
use your broom to reach the hole.

Carefully shoot/avoid the flying enemies while jumping across the spikes, then
shoot some divers and springs as you work your way to the hole on your right
and end this round.

=========
Round 1-3
=========

Equip your freeze power and use it [release a charged shot] on the flames up
ahead to continue right, then use your broom to reach the ledge above.  Use
your freeze power on the next set of flames, then ride your broom across the
spikes beyond while you shoot some flying enemies.  Head right and kill the
spawning enemies if you need some more health, then jump to the next ledge and
shoot the enemies that show up.  Use your broom to get up on the wall, then
fall down the hole on your right.

Kill the boomerang-throwing cyborg and jump across the spikes, then fall down
the hole.

Although you could freeze the flame here, I find it works better to just fly
past it with the broom and shoot the enemies on the way.  Drop down the hole
once you make it safely across the spikes.

Hug the left wall on your way down to land safely on the platform, then jump
left to a smaller one while shooting some enemies.  Use the broom to get the
extra life above, then drop down the hole.

Kill the pair of enemies and use your broom to get over the wall, then fall
down the hole to end this round.

--------------------
Boss: Thunder Knight
--------------------

For your first boss battle this guy is pretty easy, since he only has three
attacks and for the most part he moves pretty slowly.

His first attack is just an arc over one of the ledges at the bottom of the
screen.  Either the left or right one, he always comes from the outside of the
screen towards the middle on his first arc.  So by waiting closest to the
middle you will have the most time to react and get out of the way if he's on
your ledge.

The boss's second type of attack is the fastest, as he flies across the screen
just above the middle platform.  Since this attack is the fastest it leaves you
the least amount of time to dodge it.  For this reason I highly recommend that
you stay off the middle platform if at all possible.

For the boss's third attack he floats in one of the top two corners and takes
on a humanoid form, then he fires a spread of shots.  If you stand directly
below him though none of these shots will hit you.

You can ONLY hurt the boss when he takes on a humanoid form, so I find it works
best to attack him from below (by shooting up at him) when he takes on this
form.  Since you'll likely be standing under the boss when he does his spread
attack it only makes sense to fire up at him while you're waiting.  You can
even charge up a shot before he even starts firing for maximum damage.

After the battle you move on to the next round.

###############################################################################
                               (E-02) ROUND 02
###############################################################################

=========
Round 2-1
=========

Shoot the divers and jumpers to your right before dropping down the nearby
hole.

Use balls to take out the turrets and duck under the blades before dropping
down the hole.

Shoot the snake enemy in the head while avoiding its shots, then head right and
crouch under the flying enemies.  Use your broom to get past the spikes and
shoot the enemies on the other side before flying up the shaft.

Fly over the wall and kill the cyborg below, then fly up the next shaft.

Kill the enemy by using balls from the lower ledge, then fly up and crouch
before killing the nearby turret.  Drop down and use your broom to reach the
energy on your left, then fly right [as low as possible] and duck as you go.
Fly up to the extra life above and carefully drop back down, then fly right and
drop down the hole.

Kill the boomerang cyborg and fly over the wall, then drop down the hole
beyond to end this round.

=========
Round 2-2
=========

Use your broom to fly as far right along the upper ceiling as you can [while
shooting the flying enemies], then head right and duck a flying enemy.
Carefully take out some divers as you continue right, then drop down the hole.

Fly left to the ledge and carefully fly/jump past the spark so you can fall
down the left hole.

Fly right and jump off the broom when you're above the gap in the spikes, then
drop down the hole.

Fly low and crouch as you shoot some jumpers, then jump to the ledge above and
carefully inch forward enough that you can kill the snake enemy.  Fly to the
energy above and head right before falling down the hole.

Hug the left wall as you fall so you don't land on the enemy below, then kill
him and fly to the extra life before falling down the hole.

Jump the looping drill bit as you use your balls to hit the red button
repeatedly and get rid of the enemy, then fall down the hole to end the round.

=========
Round 2-3
=========

Kill the spawning enemies and carefully jump across the spikes as you kill some
flying enemies, then fly up to the energy above if you need it and kill the
boomerang cyborg and his minions to your right.  Continue right to face another
boomerang cyborg, then fall down the hole beyond.

Carefully jump across both ledges as you avoid the sparks, then fall down the
hole.

Duck when you land to avoid the spark, then drop right down the hole.

Duck both blades as you weave your way down to the hole below.

Kill the snake enemy and a few flying enemies, then fly across the spikes while
shooting some more flying enemies.  Kill the jumpers on the other side and fall
down the hole to end the round.

--------------
Boss: Yukimaru
--------------

When this battle starts the boss comes crashing to the ground [which also
makes one of the blocks fall from above if you're under them], then slowly
rises up again.

After this point the boss splits into two separate swarms, one of which slowly
follows you around the room in a circular formation.  About three seconds later
[there's really no visual indication] the second swarm comes shooting down at
you from above.

I find it works best to jump/duck this swarm before it hits you, then as the
swarm bounces around a bit you may need to jump/duck it once more before the
whole pattern repeats again.

You can avoid the falling block when the boss stomps by standing in the middle
of the room [where there are no blocks above you], otherwise just shoot like
crazy whenever the boss is not part of a swarm and you should beat him.

###############################################################################
                               (E-03) ROUND 03
###############################################################################

For this round you have an air meter as well as a health meter, so whenever
you're underwater your air meter goes down.  Once you run out of air your
health starts to decrease.  You need to make sure that you find spots where you
can jump out of the water every so often to get some air.

=========
Round 3-1
=========

Hug the left wall as you fall down a few screens and land on a ledge by some
spikes, then fall down the hole.

Jump on the wall to your right and get some air from the pocket above, then
kill the boomerang cyborg and get some more air.  Head right and kill a group
of swimming enemies as you jump some spikes and find some lasers bouncing above
you.  Carefully jump to the platform below the lasers and get some air above,
then kill some more flying enemies as you fall down the hole to your right.

Kill the boomerang cyborg and fall down the next hole.

Get some air to your right and shoot the pair of enemies, then continue right
and kill the swarm of fish before getting some more air.  Finally kill the pair
of enemies nearby and drop down the hole to end the round.

=========
Round 3-2
=========

Jump or duck the blades as you shoot some fish and head right, then grab some
air and fly across the spikes before falling down the hole.

Hug the left wall to land safely on a platform, then kill the boomerang cyborg
and fall down the hole.

Quickly grab some air and shoot any fish in your way, then fly across the
spikes while shooting the fish and swimming enemies.  Grab some air from the
next pocket and fall down the hole to your right.

Hug the right wall, but face left as you fall down to the next screen.

Shoot constantly so you kill the enemy when you land, then jump the spikes and
kill the enemy before falling down the hole.

Grab some air from the nearby pocket and kill a group of fish and swimming
enemies, then fall down the hole beyond to end the round.

=========
Round 3-3
=========

Carefully grab some air by the lasers and kill some fish beyond, then fly over
the snake creatures and quickly get more air from the next pocket.  Kill the
boomerang cyborg and take some more air before dropping down the hole.

Ignore the cyborg here and fly up to the ledge instead, then duck and kill the
turret before falling down the hole.

Carefully grab some air by the lasers and shoot the fish to your right, then
fall down the hole.

Fly up and over the spikes here, then fall down the next hole.

Shoot the swimming enemies and duck one of them before getting some air. Now
kill the boomerang enemy [or fly over him] and fall down the next hole to
reach the boss.

-----------------
Boss: Aqua Knight
-----------------

When this boss is not in his humanoid form he becomes a floating craft that
fires missiles, three at a time.  He fires the groups of missiles three times
[which means nine missiles in total].

After firing missiles the boss briefly returns to his humanoid form, then
changes back to the craft and rushes to the opposite side of the screen.

I find that if you duck the boss as he rushes past you, then you can jump into
the air to get him to fire his missiles from higher up.  If you can manage this
then you can just get in close to the boss and watch as all the missiles fly
harmlessly over you.  Otherwise you'll need to jump or duck them, which is
harder.

Either way you should equip the ball so you can easily damage the boss with
relatively little effort.

###############################################################################
                               (E-04) ROUND 04
###############################################################################

=========
Round 4-1
=========

Use your broom to fly up to the next screen.

Fly to the energy if you need it, otherwise fly up to the next screen.

Stick close to the right wall and fly up past the boomerang cyborg, then fly up
on the right side to the next screen.

Simply follow the shaft up to the next screen.

Weave through the spikes and fly up to the next screen.

Carefully fly around the boomerang cyborg on your left and take the left path
up to the next screen.

Follow the shaft up and grab the extra life, then continue up to the next
screen.

Fly across the spikes as you shoot the enemies in your way, then weave through
the path above and drop down to a turret below.  Destroy the turret and fly up
the shaft to the next screen.

Fly up past the spikes and ledge to reach the next screen.

It doesn't matter if you get hit by the enemy here, just make sure your broom
doesn't hit anything or you'll fall.  Shoot up at the enemy and fly into the
space beyond to end the round.

=========
Round 4-2
=========

Shoot the enemies as you jump across the platforms, then fly across the spikes
and duck so you don't lose your broom.  Fly up to the extra life if you want
[use the ball to clear out the enemies], then jump across the platforms and
take out a boomerang cyborg.  Continue right and destroy another boomerang
cyborg, then fly up the shaft beyond.

Carefully weave past the snake enemy as you fly up the next shaft.

Drop to the ground on the left and jump on a broom, then switch to your normal
weapon and start charging a shot as you fire upwards [to fly to the next
screen].

Release your charged shot to destroy the large enemy, then fly up the shaft.

Jump to the ledge on your right and get ready to face some new enemies that I
call bombers.  These guys have a shell that deflects your shots when they first
rush at you.  However they quickly fly above you and open up that shell to drop
a bomb on you, and at this point you can shoot and kill them as they try to
rush at you.  The bomb is easily dodged if you know it's coming, then you can
shoot these annoying guys out of the sky.
Shoot a trio of bombers as you jump right, then fly up the shaft to end the
round.

=========
Round 4-3
=========

Kill the bombers and a pair of boomerang cyborgs to your right, then fly up the
shaft.

Work your way past the teleporting enemies and fly up the shaft.

Carefully weave around the spikes before flying up the shaft.

Fly over the wall and take the low route across the spikes, then take the upper
route once you have a ledge to stand on.  Shoot the turrets up here and fly
over the spikes [duck as you go], then drop down and fly past the lasers [they
pause after every seven shots].  Continue right past two more laser guns, then
fly over the wall and drop down the hole as you shoot a bomber to reach the
boss.

--------------
Boss: Sky Hawk
--------------

This boss has two attacks at his disposal, a mace and some missiles.  The mace
is pretty easy to dodge because the boss fires it fairly slowly in about 8
directions and, you'll see it coming long enough to dodge out of the way if
you're paying attention.

The missiles on the other hand are VERY fast and actually rise or fall to try
to hit you as they fly across the screen.  The boss launches these missiles
very slowly and they open up before the back lights up and they fly at you.

The boss is vulnerable to damage on the red spot on top of his head, and you
can use balls at a distance to hit it.  Personally I find it works best to
fly up with the broom and shoot the red spot a few times, then quickly shoot
left to back up before repeating this strategy.

The only problem with doing this is that the boss will occasionally try to ram
you when you're up in the air.  However if you watch for a small flame in his
back you can quickly drop down to the ground to avoid this attack.

Otherwise just keep up whichever strategy works for you and the battle
shouldn't last long.

###############################################################################
                               (E-05) ROUND 05
###############################################################################

Head right across the screen to reach the final boss, who you'll be fighting in
three stages.  Unfortunately if you lose during any of the stages you have to
fight all three over again.

----
Boss
----

This pink boss jumps from the upper platforms to the ground as you fight him.
He fires a spreading triple shot down at you when on the upper platforms and
uses a horizontal blast when he's on the ground.  Watch the spread shot and
dodge accordingly, but when the boss is on the ground you can easily duck his
horizontal blast.

Otherwise I recommend charging your shots until the boss is on the ground, then
let one loose as you duck and fire off a few normal shots.  Repeat this pattern
and you should be done this stage of the battle in no time.

Afterwards the boss explodes, and his pieces form a blue clone of yourself.
This boss has your attacks so she tends to fire the ball down at the middle
platform when standing on either of the upper platforms.  When on the ground
she fires a charged normal shot at you that can't be ducked.

I find it works best to stay on the ground and wait for the boss to appear down
there.  Once she does you can quickly jump her shot and let off a charged shot
of your own.  If she happens to appear on the other side of the screen you can
shoot first and then jump her shot.

Either way you should make short work of her with this strategy and move on to
the third part of this battle.

For this part of the battle you fight a large purple creature that's as tall as
the screen, but she only has the one attack [unless you actually touch her] so
if you can learn to avoid it you should be fine.

Basically a glowing purple ball grows in the boss's hands and then pauses for a
brief moment when fully formed.  After this moment the ball is quickly launched
at you, but once you're used to the pause you can easily jump over the shot.
The boss moves back and forth and up and down in it's small area of the screen
so you don't need to worry about it actually touching any of the platforms that
you're standing on.

When you first start this stage of the battle you should see a glowing orange
square on the boss's forehead.  This is your target and the only other places
it appears is on the boss's two shoulders.

When the target is on the boss's head simply switch to your ball and fire them
at the target until it moves somewhere else.

When the target is on the farther shoulder you can jump straight up into the
air and fire normal shots at it [I used charged ones].

You can also use the strategy above when the target is on the closer shoulder,
but if you want to get rid of it faster [it's a little riskier] you can fire
balls form the middle platform.

Whatever your strategy just keep hitting the target and avoiding the boss's
shots, then when you win you can sit back and watch the ending!

###############################################################################

For a little while now I've had a paypal link in all my FAQs at the very bottom
here.  Mainly as a small experiment since a few other FAQ authors have also had
the same idea.

I had a few people email me before I put this link in because they wanted to
send money, so it's here for those people.

For the record I've received about $87 (which works out to a bit more in
Canadian lol) last I checked, so I've been getting cases of pop and making some
excellent progress on a few FAQs.

If you don't want to send money or can't then send me an email, it's nice to
hear what people thought about my work and there's always room for improvement.

My email address and paypal address for those that want to contribute are both

Many thanks, and I hope you continue to use my work!
