Hey everyone. This is the e-mail policy portion of this FAQ. I am going to
list what I believe to be "acceptable" or "unacceptable" e-mails. Of course,
it would be very wise of you to correctly e-mail me if you are hoping for a
response. Also, if you have made a mistake when e-mailing me, it is very likely
I will block you so that you cannot send me any more messages. So, now that
you all know what will happen if you incorrectly e-mail me, you have to find
out what is acceptable and what is unacceptable. Please read below.
Do you have information that we have not covered in this FAQ? Well, read below.
If you happen to know something in the FAQ please e-mail me. I am always
interested in adding information from readers, but there are a few exceptions.
If this FAQ is NOT labeled "Final" as its version, your added information may
not neccessarily be used. I could possibly already know your information, but
have not gotten to that section yet. So, do not guarantee that I will post your
comments just because you were nice enough to e-mail us.
Now, for a little more about an "acceptable" e-mail, let's talk about the
subject of the e-mail. I get a lot of e-mails about other FAQs that I have
written, so I can easily miss your e-mail unless you identify it. So, in the
subject line, please include the words "Bomberman 2 FAQ" in your subject
line. This makes it a lot easier to sort things out in my e-mail. If you do
not refer to what game you are commenting/asking for help on, I will most
likely ignore the entire e-mail.
The last aspect that we would like to talk about is reading the FAQ. If you are
in doubt, check around the entire FAQ before coming to us for direct help. It
is likely that information is in other parts of the FAQ, and not neccessarily
the part that you are looking at during that very moment. Any comments that are
already answered in this FAQ will simply be ignored and blocked, as I have
taken a lot of time to write this guide for you, you can do a little something
for me as well.
If any of the above guidelines are not followed correctly your e-mails will be
considered "unacceptable" and I am sure you know what that means. I personally
think that it will be simple to follow the guidelines, and you will not have to
worry very much about the process. Thank you, again, for your cooperation.

2. Strategy/Game sec2

As you approach the start menu, you will find a few choices. It will look much
like what you see below.
GAME SELECT
1P
2P
ALL STAR 1P
ALL STAR 2P
WATCH
Of course, the general mode that you will be playing is the simple 1P, unless
you wish to play against another person. Regardless, I am going to start off
with the one player mode. Once you click on one player mode, you will be
asked if you want the DH rule. Always chose yes, and then you will proceed to
the teams menu. It looks like the below chart.
+-------------------------------------+---------------------------------------+
| National League | American League |
+=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=+=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=+
| | |
| St. Lou. | Minn. |
| S. Fran. | Detroit |
| N.Y. | Milw. |
| Cinci | N.Y. |
| L.A. | Boston |
| Atlanta | Calif. |
| Chicago | Texas |
| | |
+-------------------------------------+---------------------------------------+
Press the B button to choose your team, and then the computer will randomly
pick their own team. The action is about to start.
The next objective is to pick your starting pitcher. It is important to look
at their stats to the right, so that you can get a good picture of what is
going on, and how each one will react to the other teams playing skills. The
lower the ERA on the menu, the better the pitcher is likely to be.
================
BATTING STRATEGY
================
Now, the game begins. You will start off batting, and the computer will start
off pitching. Basically, first you are going to want to know the controls. To
swing the bat, simply press the B button. Make sure you look at the way the
ball is being throw so you do not swing on a terrible pitch. As most of you
already know, a pitcher can either throw a strike or a ball. If you get three
strikes, the batter is out, and the next batter comes in. If you get four balls
the batter will get to walk automatically to first base. So, you as a batter
must not swing at bad pitches or else you will get a strike.
You can move your player to the left and to the right of the batting zone. It
doesn't make a huge difference, but it is recommended that you do not get too
far or too close. The middle seems to work a lot for me. Now, once you actually
hit a ball, the screen will suddenly change to show a clear picture of where
the ball is traveling. This will give you a good sense on where to run after
you have hit the ball. That is the next topic, running.
Once you have hit a ball, you just move in the direction of the base. Make sure
you keep an eye out for how many bases to run. Here is the ideal way of running
bases...
+-------------------------------------+---------------------------------------+
| Run the certain bases | If and only if |
+=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=+=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=+
| | |
| 1 Base |The ball goes barely past shortstop |
| 2 Bases |The ball goes to the far wall |
| 3 Bases |Only on a homerun |
| 4 Bases |Only on a homerun |
| | |
+-------------------------------------+---------------------------------------+
=================
PITCHING STRATEGY
=================
When you are pitching the ball, it is crucial to scew around with your batting
opponent. Basically, you are going to want to move side to side. The bad part
about this game is that you can only throw one pitch, and the only way to
change the type of pitch is to move your poition on the mound. So, if you want
to throw a fast ball, head in the middle. If you want to throw a curve ball,
head towards the left if you are right handed, or right if you are left handed.
If you want to throw a breaking ball, hold back as you pitch. I will explain
all of this in the table below.
+-------------------------------------+---------------------------------------+
| Pitch Type | Controls |
+=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=+=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=+
| | |
| Fast Ball |Hold Up while you are pitching. |
| Curve Ball |Move to the left or right to pitch. |
| Breaking Ball |Hold Back while you are pitching. |
| Normal Pitch |Simply pitch by pressing B. |
| | |
+-------------------------------------+---------------------------------------+
The second part to the pitching side of the game is throwing the ball around
to get the batter out. So, let's say a batter hits a ball to the outfield, and
your player does not catch it. Quickly throw the ball by pressing the B button
while aiming in the direction of the player whom you wish to throw to. So, if
your pitcher has the ball, and you want to throw to first base, simply aim to
the first base area, and press B. This should quickly throw the ball to the
first base person.
=============
ALL-STAR GAME
=============
This is one of the modes on the beginning screen. Essentially, it is what it
says it is. The All-Star game has the best players from each of the leagues,
the American and the National league. So, if you are looking for a challenge,
this is the place to go. Also, your team will be really good, so expect a lot
of home runs, and a lot of baseball action!
This completes the guide for this game. I hope these strategies and information
help you master this game. Good luck!
