Reasons
===============
Why did I make this FAQ?  Well, first off, GameFAQs has no FAQs on Super Spy
Hunter. Also, the bosses can be tough.  I know, I went through the whole game.
But they are still incredibly difficult.  So, out of sympathy for people like
me who had a hard time dealing with the bosses, I have some strategies that
may help.

Recommendations
===============
Before you go into battle, I recommend that you have as much Life and Power
Up as you can and that your cannon Control is set to Auto.
Power Ups are Red P items.  Life are Red L Items, and Cannon Control is
the Red C Item.  Subsequently obtaining C will result in control change from
Manual to Auto and vice-versa.  Just thought I'd warn you. Also, I'll use
1HK to describe a 1-Hit Kill.  In other words, if this hit you, it doesn't
matter how much armor you have or how much Life you have; you're dead.

Boss 1: Armored Transport
===============
Boss of Aquapolis
Phases: 3

GET OUT OF THE WAY!  The Transport will try to back into when he first appears.

PHASE 1:
The Transport will release a helicopter.  The copter fires a few missiles, but
I suggest dealing with it first by getting close to it and aiming your cannons
directly at it.  Don't worry about touching it; it's off the ground.
After you swiftly destroy the copter, the transport should be making its first
move by now: backing up again.  Move to the right to avoid it and then drive
forward in front of the truck.  If tou don't, you'll probably die after it
crushes you between itself and the barriers on the side.  Yes, a 1HK.  The
Transport doesn't do anything other than this, so just fire upon the truck
until its first explosion.

PHASE 2:
Now the Armored Transport has released two copters.  One is another blue one,
but unlike before, this one fires a LOT of missiles.  The other one just
fires a spread of normal bullets.  Use the same strategy to get rid of those
and then deal with the Armored Transport in the same manner.  One you blow
it up again, it's onto...

PHASE 3:
This time, you'll be facing the truck itself.
It'll release two sets of bullets, 4 bullets each, one after the other, from
its sides.  Dodge the bullets.  The truck will try to drive right at you.
Avoid the truck.  It'll also fire a barrage of missiles out of the back, and
there is less than a second in between shots.  Move as soon as you can to get
across. Best thing to do is to lure the truck to one of two opposite corners
of the screen and just circle it while avoiding the attacks.  Aim at the
truck and it'll go down soon enough.

Boss 2: Turret Terminator

Boss of Desert of Doom
Phases: 4
This boss is fairly straight forward but requires a bit of dodging.

PHASE 1:
Attack the center while dodging the bullets.  It's best to get close to it
and attack.

PHASE 2:
That's one gate opened.  Drive in and aim your cannons to the side to attack
the turrets.  Those get annoting.  Keep in sync with the Turret Terminator
and only drive out when you have a chance and need to get some distance.  Once
again, attack the center and dodge the bullets.

PHASE 3:
If you haven't destroyed the top two turrets, do so now in the same way.
After that, stay in sync with the Turret Terminator and destroy the armor in
the center.

PHASE 4:
All has been revealed!  This time, it has an eye that moves.  Don't worry, it
doesn't attack.  But the missiles bays that you just opened do.  If you can,
destroy the missiles when they come at you.  If not, dodge them and destroy
them later.  Other than that, this time, keep your shots lined up with the
eye and keep up the same strategy as before.  He'll be gone in a minute or
so.

Boss 3: Laser Cannon
===============
Boss of Hazardous Detour
Phases: 2

PHASE 1:
He has 5 Laser Beams.  They fire one at a time, and they are 1HK, so
avoid the lasers. If you get caught between two firing lasers and the
one in front of you is firing, you're screwed.
Attack the laser cannons until they explode.  Then attack the panels
behind the lasers until those explode.  Then attack the eye that
is revealed from beneath the panels and avoid its bullets.  Hopefully,
you've destroyed enough cannons to give yourself some breathing room.

PHASE 2:
This one a little tricky.  Although every breakable piece from Phase 1
is gone, you now have to deal with the dreaded Blue Eye.  Don't get
caught between the laser beams at the bottom of the machine.  Try to
stay in front of them.  The eye fires three bullets, one right after
the other directed at your vehicle, then it pauses.  Once again,
viciously attack the eye while avoiding the bullets and the lasers.
Keep up the assault and it is history.

Boss 4: Magnetic Destroyer

Boss of Collapsible Canyon
Phases: 2
Least Favorite Boss!  DRIVE FORWARD OR GET OVER!  If you're in the center,
the boss will hit you, and that's never pleasant.

PHASE 1:
As the boss chases you, it goes in a cycle: first, the 1HK Lasers from both
of its cannons, firing two sets of shots from each of its four corner
turrets while firing a few shots from the eye itself, repeat.  You have to
target both of those laser cannons.  You get trapped between the barrier
and the laser, get as close to the wall as you can and pray.  You might
just get lucky.  Other than that, aim for the cannons until both are blown.

PHASE 2:
Once you blow his cannons, he'll center himself before the next attack.
He'll slightly chase you.  He won't go all the way to the top or all
the way to the left, so you have plenty of breathing room.  He will,
however, be trying to shoot you with normal bullets.  Dodge the bullets.
He's annoyingly sluggish though.  Shoot the eye as best as you can.  He
won't display damage like other bosses, but he will go down if you give
it time.  It may take you a few tries though.

Boss 5: Turbo-Prop Space Cruiser

Boss of Amphibous/Aerial Assault
Phases: 3
This is a fun battle.  You are actually using the plane.  This is only
battle that does not take place on the ground.  You should be sufficiently
powered up because of the rock field before the boss.

PHASE 1:
Each one of the turbines will fire bullets every now and then, and two
turbines will fire at once, so avoid the shots.  You should be pretty good
at it now after having gone through half of this level going up against the
Terrorist Navi Fleet.  The side guns on the ships fire missiles.  Avoid and
destroy.
You won't get an opportunity to attack the ship until it shows its reactor.
You'll know it when you see it.  Shoot the exhaust and get in close and attack
it until it is black.  The ship will move up and you'll go into ...

PHASE 2:
Once again, same ordeal, just with more turbines and those hammer balls at the
top. Those are 1HK wrecking balls.  DON'T TOUCH.  Avoid bullets, destroy
missiles, and wait for the reactor to open up again to attack it until it
is black.

PHASE 3:
The ship moves up again, and now you're closer to those wrecking balls.
You're breathing room has just been cut.  Luckily, only the balls themselves are
destructive, not the chains that they are on.  If you need some breathing
room, use that, but you can still get hit, so move a little. You'll probably
have to attack the reactor twice.  The first time, it is very close to the
bottom of the screen which doesn't give you a lot of room.  The second time,
the ship moves back, which should give you just enough room to manuvever
and attack.

Boss 6: Super Turret Terminator
===============
1st Boss of Weapons Factory
Phases: 4
Yes, the Turret Terminator from Level 2 is back.  The only difference is that
he fires more bullets at a time and he requires more hits to beat.  Other than
that, use the same strategy as the normal Turret Terminator.

===============
Boss 7: Super Magnetic Destroyer
===============
2nd Boss of Weapons Factory
Phases: 2
Oh, great.  And I thought he as bad enough back in Level 4.  Now he's
super powerful, moves faster, but that's nothing to be concerned about.
Remember that he comes in from below, so brace yourself.

PHASE 1:
He moves a lot faster, so he may just crush you with his laser.  Other than
his speed, nothing has changed.  Just try to shoot the laser cannons as best
as you can.

PHASE 2:
This one is tricky, but if you know the trick, then you can win easily.
You'll get your best shots in from the bottom of the screen.  You have moved
from right to left, circle around to avoid his shots and positions yourself at
the bottom right to do it again.  Be patient and continue this process until
the super freak explodes.

Boss 8: Super Missile
===============
3rd Boss of Weapons Factory
Phases: 2

This is the final boss!  Horray!  He's not that bad, but it will take you a few
minutes, even at full power.

PHASE 1:
There's nothing to this really.  It's like fighing the Armored Transporter from
Level 1 again, but the only difference is that this once fires a laser out of
its tail.  This laser is a 1HK Laser (when isn't it?), so avoid it since it
will fire often.  Continue assaulting every part of the missile that you can
until it blows.

PHASE 2:
This time, the missile is shorter, and it's a little bit trickier.
The missile creates little Blue "Options" from its core that fire upon you.
Now, these Options fire bullets that you can destroy as well as the Options.
But each time an option is destroyed, the core will make a new one to take its
place.  The worst part about it is the fact that the Options surround the
weakpoint, making it difficult to get a shot through.  It still has the tail
laser, but it doesn't fire as often.  It still 1HKs, so avoid it as much as
possible.  Move as much as you can in order to shoot the bullets.  This will
lessen the chance that they'll hit you.  If you can, get in a bunch of good
shots from the tail.
Once the missiles shows signs of damage, the core will turn red, and so will
the options that it produces.  These Red Options fire normal bullets, so
these you'll have to dodge.  Continue to attack the missile's core until
it blows up.  After that, you're done.

Just thought I'd let you know, it is possible to make it show damage before
it fires off the first laser in Phase 2.
