Controls:

This game uses a special mat that comes with it, which you whack like the
Whack-A-Mole games in arcades and other places. It is a 4 x 4 mat which works
exactly the same way. You need to plug it into the expansion port to make it
work.

Not all stages use all of the buttons. Before the start a screen will show
which ones will have enemies pop up.
Gameplay:

When an enemy pops up, you need to whack the spot where it does. They might
only pop out a tiny bit so be quick about it.
A stage only lasts 60 second. To progress to the next stage, you need to get
at least 80% hits. If you made it, a bonus game will start where you can earn
more points by continuing to hit more enemies until finally missing one. The
miss will not count towards you rating, but the hits will. Therefore one can
only improve the percentage with the bonus game. Should you miss the cut, the
stage will simply restart from the beginning until you get 80 per cent or
more.
Hitting an empty space does not hurt your score, but waste you time aiming for
the real ones. In other words, go nuts slamming all buttons if you wish but it
probably won't do you much good in the long run.

There is an Easy and Hard mode to chose from. They different in the skill
required to whack the enemies in each stage. Use the Continue function to
input a password to start on a specific stage. There is also an Ura mode which
I am unsure how to unlock apart from using passwords. It features different
foes but the stages are the same style.
Score:
``````
The enemies come in different colors which are of different value. They differ
from enemy to enemy but what doesn't change is the multiplier of the points
for hitting one. For example, the if the brown mole yields 10 points then the
purple mole is worth 2 times 10 points, equaling 20 points. The number of
points mention in the stage walkthrough below is the base number.
The bonus time will add 1 point per second to the total score.

only need to concentrate on the bottom two rows for this one.

the volcano level, this is just two rows. This can be pretty brutal on Hard
mode.
