1.1 - VERSION HISTORY
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Version 0.9 - This is the first version, so everything's new. I won't go in
depth as much as the other Super Mario Bros. FAQs, because there are many
in-depth FAQs for that already.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.2 - INFO YOU SHOULD KNOW
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a 3-in-1 game, and 2 games require a special accessory to be plugged
into the Controller 2 Port.
Duck Hunt requires a Zapper.
World Class Track Meet requires a Power Pad.
For an instruction manual for Super Mario Bros., go to
http://www.world-of-nintendo.com/manuals/nes/super_mario_bros.shtml
For an instruction manual for Duck Hunt, go to
http://www.world-of-nintendo.com/manuals/nes/duck_hunt.shtml
I have never tried ROMs/EMULATORs, and I don't know if they have this game
ROM because I don't think the EMULATORs supports Power Pad or Zapper, I
could be wrong though.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

You might also want to see SpoonDog's Zapper Games FAQ at Gamefaqs.(Don't
worry-I didn't link directly to the FAQ!) The FAQ is at
http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/nes/game/22673.html
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
1.4 - POWER PAD INFO
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Power Pad has also been called "Family Trainer" and "Family Fun and Fitness"
From what I hear, you can cheat on some games by sitting on the pad and
using your hands, but I have never tried it, and the only game I've ever
played with Power Pad is World Class Track Meet.
Games that use Power Pad:
Athletic World
Dance Aerobics
Short Order+Eggsplode
Stadium Events/World Class Track Meet
Street Cop
Super Team Games
It looks like this: OO Side A OOOO Side B
OOOO OOOO
(Circles colored red or blue) OO OOOO
For an instruction manual for Power Pad, go to
http://www.world-of-nintendo.com/manuals/nes/power_pad.shtml
(Use caution when using the power pad. Make sure you won't slip on it or it
won't slip on the floor surface. Don't have a heart attack. Do warm ups so
you don't pull any muscles. Make sure you won't knock over stuff while
running/jumping. Don't get dehydrated.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
2.0 - SUPER MARIO BROS.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
To get bombs at the end of levels with flags, land on the flag when the last
digit of time left is at 9 to get 9 bombs, 6 to get 6 bombs, 3 to get 3
bombs, 1 to get 1 bomb, so 0,2,4,5,7,8 to get 0 bombs. The best I can
remember, bombs are worth 50 points each.
To get "little/big" or "pass the level and die":
at any #-4 level except 8-4, go to the end of the level with Bowser. Wait
by the ax until Bowser comes, and time it right to land on Bowser and the ax
at the same time. If you were small to begin with, you will die and pass
the level. If you were big, you will look big at the next level, but really
be small (1 hit and you die, not shrink). You can get a mushroom to shrink,
then you can get firepower while small if you get a flower. You will lose
this when you die.
Special Warp: At the end of the dungeon part of 1-2 before you go in the
pipe (before you choose to go to 1-3 or warp to 2-1, 3-1, or 4-1), smash the
bricks (you must be big [Super Mario]) but leave 1 or 2 still there at the
side most to the right (I have done it with both). Jump backwards into the
bricks, but don't smash them. You should moonwalk through the wall. Go to
the first pipe to get -1, second pipe to get 5-1, and it must be impossible
to get into the third pipe (if you take too long, the pipes will change to
2-1, 3-1, and 4-1 again). In the -1 world, you play over and over and over,
but you can't ever advance to another level, so you must restart.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.0 - DUCK HUNT
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can pick from Game A, B, or C by using SELECT button from controller 1
or shooting away from the screen on Zapper in Port 2. To start, hit START
on controller 1 or shoot at the screen with the Zapper. Game A is with 1
duck at a time, Game B is with 2 ducks at a time, and Game C is Clay
shooting. When you play Game A or B, you can supposedly control the ducks.
I haven't tried it yet (my nintendo is broken right now). Press START
during games to pause. Recommended target range is 6 feet, but if you want
to cheat, put the gun right up to the screen!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
4.0 - WORLD CLASS TRACK MEET
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Use side B of the Power Pad for this game. It should look like this (just
the circles):
O O O O Super Speed Position (Circle #'s 1,2,3,4)
O O O O Advanced Speed Position (Circle #'s 5,6,7,8)
O O O O Normal Speed Position (Circle #'s 9,10,11,12)
L R L R Left Foot/Right Foot
L R Player 1/Player 2
2 Players can race side by side in the Dash and Hurdles. You can run and
jump (can jump at every activity except Dash). Use SELECT to select event &
Select Letters. Use START to begin game. Use A to move blinking curser
right, and B to move it left. Use control pad to enter individual info.
The 6 choices at the beginning are: Tournament, 100M Dash, Long Jump, 110M
Hurdles, Triple Jump, and The Olympics.
Tournament:You will race 100M Dash, then 110M Hurdles against 6 opponents.
You get a prize after beating each opponent (medal or trophy).
-No.1:Turtle "Let's have a race" you will get Bronze medal.
-No.2:Bear "It's my turn now" you will get Silver medal.
-No.3:Horse "I am really fast" you will get Gold medal.
-No.4:Rabbit "Can you beat me?" Bronze trophy.
-No.5:Bobcat "Can you keep up with me?" Silver trophy.
-No.6:Cheetah "If you beat me, you're the best" Gold trophy.
To beat this, you need to vibrate your feet as fast as you can. Don't just
"run in place" because your legs will go up too high. The game recognizes
when your feet hit the pad, so vibrate as fast as possible. When you're
jumping hurdles, just quickly jump up and time correctly. Don't Start too
early or you will get a foul, and too many fouls will kick you out!
100M Dash:1-6 players can play this, and no need for a controller adapter,
you just take turns running two at a time. Not much else to say.
Long Jump:Vibrate and
jump at the last moment before the line (don't go over!). To "cheat," don't
jump straight up and down like with hurdles; jump OFF the pad, then when the
character almost lands, jump back on the pad (timing is everything).
110M Hurdles:Same as dash, but longer, and there's hurdles. Try not to trip
over them. Start at sound of whistle, so you don't get a foul.
Triple Jump:Start at whistle, vibrate your feet, then jump OFF the pad each
time, but jump back on in time, so the character doesn't fall over.
The Olympics:In this, you play 100M Dash, Long Jump, 110M Hurdles, and
Triple Jump. Like all except tournament, this is 1-6 players.
