"SD Gundam Gaiden: Knight Gundam Monogatari 2 - Hikari no Kishi" is the
second installment in the Knight Gundam series. It takes place in a universe
in which the Gundam characters are reimagined as knights, wizards, kings and
other medieval type characters. This game is a direct sequel to the first
game, so you ought to play through the first one first. It may seem unrelated
at first, but the story converges with the first game's eventually.
Like the first game, this one is also a turn-based RPG. It is similar to
the first game in most respects, but everthing has been somewhat improved in
my opinion. Some features have been added as well.
This guide is meant to help guide you through the game even if your
Japanese is not very good. I have tried to translate all of the relevant
dialogue so that you can follow along with the story as well.

This game continues the story which began in SD Gundam Gaiden: Knight Gundam
Monogatari. The previous game ended with Knight Gundam defeating Satan
Gundam, who was transformed into Black Dragon. But the main evil force, Sieg
Zeon, managed to escape.
The scene in this game has changed to a different region in the Saddrac World
in which the two countries, Algus and Munzo, are at war with each other.
An Algus knight named Alex (アレックス) has entered Munzo Castle in an
attempt to rescue the kidnapped Prince Kamille (カミーユ). He encounters some
Zeon forces, who are allied with Munzo, and faces the magician Qubeley
(キュベレイ). Qubeley manages to capture Alex by using his powerful magic.
King Blex (ブレックス) governs Algus. His forces are divided into three
units: the cavalry led by Zeta, the infanty led by Double Zeta, and the
artillery led by Nu. The commanding officers are descendents of the Gundams.
Alex is also one of these descendents. Blex has ordered the rescue of Alex
and the overthrow of the Munzo Empire. The Algus forces have scattered in
each direction to find information on Alex's whereabouts.

There are six main playable characters, and also some minor characters you
control for a short time. The six main characters are:
Zeta (ゼータ) - Leader of the Algus cavalry.
Double Zeta (ダブルゼータ) - Leader of the Algus infantry.
Nu (ニュー) - Leader of the Algus artillery. He is the most powerful magic
user in the game.
Amuro (アムロ) - A Union knight who has traveled to Algus from Lacroa to
pursue the Zeon forces. Out of the six main characters, he is the only
magic user other than Nu.
Alex (アレックス) - A knight of the Algus kingdom.
Knight Gundam (ナイトガンダム) - A mysterious, powerful knight seeking to
destroy Sieg Zeon.

---= Menus =--- [sec3a]
=========
---Starting Screen------------------------------------------------[sec3a1]---
On the startup screen, you are presented with two windows on the upper part
of the screen. The lefthand side has the following options:
あたらしくはじめる - "Begin New"
つづきをする - "Continue"
ファイルをけす - "Delete File"
ファイルをコピーする - "Copy File"
The uses of those commands are clear to anyone who's played an RPG before.
The righthand side window at the top of the screen has the option:
VSモード - "Versus Mode"
This gives you the option to play a Carddas game against a friend or the
computer. You draw cards until you have 3 fighter cards, then you compete in
a best 2 out of 3 Carddas battle. See the "Carddas" section below for more
info.
---Exploration Menu-----------------------------------------------[sec3a2]---
Anytime outside of battle, press "Start" to access the menu system. The right
side of the menu has three windows. The top shows your gold total, the middle
on shows your current insurance (see "Death in the Party and Insurance"
section for more info), and the bottom menu has the following command
choices:
まほう - "Magic". Select to access a character's non-battle spells.
どうぐ - "Tools". Shows your party's inventory. Has the subcommands
つかう("Use") and すてる ("Drop").
ステータス - "Status". Shows status menu for each character. See "Status
Menu" for more details.
たいれつ - "Formation". Change order of characters in party.
そうび - "Equipment". Equip characters with weapons and armor.
キャンブ - "Camp". See "Camping" for details.
カードダス - "Carddas". Shows all of the Carddas cards you have.
---Status Menu----------------------------------------------------[sec3a3]---
The status menu has three windows. The left window shows the following
parameters:
M. HP - Max HP.
M. MP - Max MP.
すばやさ - Speed.
うん - Luck.
けいけん - Experience.
つぎまで - Experience until next level up.
ひっさつわざ - Character skill if it has been obtained.
The upper-right hand window shows the following values:
こうげき - Attack.
ぼうぎょ - Defense.
ちから - Strength.
わざ - Skill.
まほう - Magic.
The lower-right window shows your equipped weapons and armor. The slots are:
ぶき - Weapon.
よろい - Armor.
たて - Shield.
かぶと - Helmet.
マント - Mantle.
そのた - Other.
---Battle Menu----------------------------------------------------[sec3a4]---
During battle you have the following menu options:
たたかう にげだす
ぶんさん すけっと
いっせい しらべる
These options have the following meanings:
たたかう - "Fight". You then choose actions for each character.
ぶんさん - "Distribute". An auto-attack feature. Your characters won't just
physical
attack, though. They may cast spells.
いっせい - "Simultaneous". All your characters focus their attacks on one
enemy at the same time.
にげだす - "Run". If you fail, all the enemies get a turn to attack.
すけっと - "Support". This option is not available at first. Use it to call
for allies to help during battle. See "Call for Support" section
for more info.
しらべる - "Search". This option is not available at first. Use it to check
what enemy types the enemies are. See "Enemy Types" for more info.
If you choose "Fight", the following actions are available for each
character:
たたかう どうぐ
まほう そうび
ぼうぎょ わざ
The meanings of these commands are as follows:
たたかう - "Fight". Attack with normal physical attack.
まほう - "Magic". Use magic if this character has the ability.
ぼうぎょ - "Defend".
どうぐ - "Tools". Use inventory items.
そうび - "Equipment". Use equipped items during battle if they have a special
battle ability.
わざ - "Skill". Only available if the character has learned their special
skill. See "Skills" section for more info.
---Inn Menu-------------------------------------------------------[sec3a5]---
When you visit an inn, the innkeeper first asks if you'd like to stay the
night, so you have the following options:
はい - "Yes"
いいえ - "No"
If you select "yes", you have the following options:
とまる - "Stay"
ねぎる - "Haggle"
やめる - "Quit"
"Stay" means you elect to pay the asking price and spend the night. I didn't
try haggling very much, and when I did the innkeeper wouldn't budge. The
prices are pretty cheap anyway. When you stay the night, the innkeeper asks
if you'd like to save your game:
きろくする - "Record"
きろくしない - "Don't Record"
---Shop Menu------------------------------------------------------[sec3a6]---
When you visit a store, you are presented with the following options:
かう - "Buy"
うる - "Sell"
かいかえる - "Buy a replacement"
The first two options are straightforward. The third means that you want to
simultaneously buy a piece of equipment and sell the piece that the character
is currently equipped with. So, for example, you want to buy an Iron Sword
for character A, and character A is already equipped with a Copper Sword. If
you select the "Buy a replacement" option, select character A, then select
the Iron Sword, you will equip the Iron Sword and sell the Copper Sword all
at the same time with this command. The price of the item you are buying is
reduced to reflect the fact that you are selling an item at the same time.
====================================
---= Death in the Party and Insurance =--- [sec3b]
====================================
If all of your party members are wiped out, you return to the title screen
and have to start over from your last save point. If only some of your party
members are dead, you have to go to a church and select "Give an offering"
(きふをする). Your dead party members will be revived with a small amount of
HP remaining for the fee of 100 gold. You can also revive them with the item
Spirit Ball.
You can buy insurance in the town of Koasuli. The insurance makes it so that,
if all of your party members are wiped out, you don't have to start at your
last save point. Instead, you lose half of your gold, but keep all of your
items and experience. If you do choose to get the insurance, there are 3
different "courses" you can take. They last for different durations of time
and have different costs. They are:
Soothing Course (きやすめコース): 7 days, 100 gold.
Peace Course (やすらぎコース): 30 days, 500 gold.
Safety Course (あんしんコース): Infinite time, 5000 gold.
A day will pass every time you sleep at an inn. Personally, I found the
insurance pretty unnecessary since I never lost all of my party members. The
game as a whole is pretty easy. But 500 gold for 30 days is pretty cheap, so
perhaps it will make you feel safer to have it.
===========
---= Camping =--- [sec3c]
===========
There is now a feature where you can camp anywhere in the game to restore
your HP to full (but MP is not replenished). When you camp in an area with
monsters, there is a chance that you will be attacked. If this happens, you
engage in a normal battle, but you do not get your HP replenished from
camping. Instead, you have to try camping again and hope to not get attacked.
Camping is a good way to restore your HP before a boss fight, especially
early in the game when you don't have a lot of MP to heal.
===========
---= Battles =--- [sec3d]
===========
Battles in this game are turn-based. Many features are different in this game
as compared to the first in the series. Now, if you target an enemy with a
character and that enemy dies before the character acts, he will
automatically attack a different enemy.
Occasionally, your party will get attacked from behind, which causes the
order of your party to be reversed. In other words, the character in back
will be in front during that battle.
Sometimes during battle one of your equipped items will get knocked off.
After the fight, you get the item back, but you have to re-equip it.
If an equippable item has a special effect when used in battle, you have to
equip it before you can use it. For example, if you use the Electric Lance
during battle, you can cast Megafan. However, it has to be equipped on the
person trying to cast the spell.
---Call for Support-----------------------------------------------[sec3d1]---
During chapters 4 and 5, you can call for backup using the "Support"
(すけっと) command. During chapter 4, you can call the cavalry, infantry, or
artillery characters who you were controlling in the earlier chapters. You
cannot issue commands to these characters, and instead they choose their own
actions. They cannot be injured and always appear with full HP and MP.
During chapter 5, your backup characters will be different, and you will be
able to control their actions.
---Enemy Types----------------------------------------------------[sec3d2]---
There are three major enemy types in this game. They are "Skill" type,
"Strength" type, and "Magic" type. Your characters also have a type. For
example, the cavalry characters, including Zeta, are "Skill" type, the
infantry characters, including Double Zeta, are "Strength" type, and the
artillery characters, including Nu, are "Magic" type. Skill type is weak
against Magic type, Strength type is weak against Skill type, and Magic type
is weak against Strength type.
Early in the game, you will gain the "Search" (しらべる) command during
battle, which allows you to check the type of enemies you are facing. They
will flash a color to indicate what type they are. If they are Strength type,
they will flash red. If they are Magic type, they will flash yellow. If they
are Skill type, they will flash blue.
Many enemies are mixed type. If they are Magic and Skill type, they will
flash green (because yellow and blue make green). If they are Magic and
Strength type, they will flash orange. If they are Strength and Skill type,
they will flash purple. If they are strong in all catagories, they will flash
white.
---Status Ailments------------------------------------------------[sec3d3]---
Listed here are the status ailments you may come across during battle. There
may be some that I missed, and I don't know the effects of others because I
was never inflicted with them.
Poison (どく) - Lose HP after actions during battle and when walking around.
Don't lose HP when walking in towns. Cured with the item Antidote or the
Pure spell.
Blind (めつぶし) - Hit percent decrease. Goes away after battle ends.
Faint (きぜつ) - Character takes no actions for a few turns.
Sleep (ねむり) - Character takes no actions for a few turns.
Confusion (こんらん) - Character attacks own party members. Goes away after a
few turns.
Sick (びょうき) - Effect?
Sealed (ふういん) - Character can't use magic. Goes away after a few turns.
Curse (のろい) - Effect?
Engulfed in Flame - Character is damaged at the end of every turn for the
duration of the battle
Frozen - Effect?
===========
---= Carddas =--- [sec3e]
===========
Carddas is a card game that people play in this world. If you have played the
first Knight Gundam Monogatari, then you will already know how this works
since nothing has changed. There are two types of cards: fighter cards and
support cards. During each Carddas battle, you select a fighter card. You
also have the option of selecting one support card, which will boost a stat
of the fighter card, such as its maximum HP. The effect of the support card
is indicated in the lower-right corner of the card.
Your opponent also selects a fighter card and has the option of selecting a
support card. The two cards then engage in a turn-based battle, just like a
regular battle, except you don't get to choose the actions your card takes.
The only stat listed on your fighter cards is how much HP they have. You can
get a general idea of how strong the card is just from this stat, but also
you will know that if the character on the card is strong in "real life",
then their card will also be strong.
In this game, if you win a Carddas battle, you get to keep your opponent's
fighter card that was used and your own cards. If you lose the battle, then
you lose the cards you used. This is different from the first Knight Gundam
Monogatari in which you always lost the cards you used.
The numbering of cards in this game goes from 85 to 172. The earlier numbers
are the cards you could collect in the first game.
==========
---= Skills =--- [sec3f]
==========
Each character has a special skill attack that they can learn. Each character
only has one. These skill attacks cost HP to use instead of MP, and have
different effects depending on whose skill it is. Two characters, Alex and
Gundam, already have their skills. The rest of your characters gain the
skills by completing some small mission. These missions are indicated in the
walkthrough as they become available. Here is a list of the skills for each
character and their effects. The info is given in the following way:
Character: Skill name translation (Skill name) - effect, HP cost.
Nu: Fein Blastman (フェーンばくふうじん) - All enemies engulfed in flames,
25% of max HP.
Double Zeta: Double Moushuudan (ダブルもうしゅうだん) - Cause all enemies to
faint, 20% of max HP.
Amuro: Union Gashouken (ユニオンがしょうけん) - Inflict confusion on all
enemies, 25% of max HP.
Zeta: Zeta Disorder Comet (ゼータみだれすいせい) - Damage all enemies, 30% of
max HP.
Alex: Algus Anger Sword (アルガスいかりのけん) - Inflict instant death on one
enemy, 50% of max HP.
Gundam: Tornado Spark (トルネードスパーク) - Inflict instant death on all
enemies, 70% of max HP.
S-Dragon: Senkouzan (せんこうざん) - Inflict damage on single enemy, 50% of
max HP.

---= Chapter 1: 第1章 騎馬隊 (Cavalry) =--- [sec4a]
=======================================
---Texas---------------------------------------------------------------------
Your starting party is the Algus "cavalry", led by Zeta (ゼータ). The other
members are Lee Kasi (リ カスィ), Sniper II (スナイパーII), and GM Commando
(ジムコマンド). You are out gathering information as to the whereabouts of
Alex, and have traveled West of Algus Castle to the town of Texas (テキサス).
In Texas, you learn that the bridge in the East leading to Algus has been
destroyed by Zeon. You hear there are some stables to the West, a cave to the
South in which a horse was seen entering, and Gelgoog (ゲルググ) is a fencer
in a fortress to the Southwest.
If you try going to the cave in the South, you will find a horse at the end
of it, but it will not follow you since it doesn't know you. If you go to the
fortress, you won't be allowed in. The only option is to go West to the
stables.
---Stables-------------------------------------------------------------------
Head West of Texas to the stables. A guy in the house asks for your help, so
say "yes". He says he was going to present the horse Argama (アーガマ) to
Gelgoog at the fortress, but his son freed the horse. He says Gelgoog tore
down the bridge in the East to keep Argama in this area. He asks you to bring
Argama back to him. He gives you the Youth's Clothes (しょうねんのふく),
which carry the scent of the boy whom the horse likes, so it will follow you.
---Argama Cave---------------------------------------------------------------
Treasure: Medical Herb
Go South of Texas to find the Argama Cave. You will find a horse at the end
of dungeon. Without the Youth's Clothes, he won't follow you, but if you have
the Youth's Clothes, talk to the horse and you'll show it the Youth's
Clothes. It starts following you, so return to stables. The guy there says
that the Zeon kidnapped his kid and said they'd kill him if you don't bring
them the horse. He asks if you will help his son, so say "yes". He gives you
Passage Papers (つうこうしょう), which will allow you into the fortress. So
go Southwest from Texas to find the fortress.
---West Fortress-------------------------------------------------------------
With the Passage Papers, you will be allowed in the castle to see Gelgoog and
present him with the horse. You are brought to him and you ask about the boy.
He says that the boy should be under the ground right about now (meaning
dead), and that you are about to join him. A fight commences.
Boss: Gelgoog (ゲルググ) 200 EXP/100 Gold
You don't have much for options at this point. Just attack and he'll go down
after a few rounds. You should have one or two characters by now who have the
healing spell Midi (ミディ), so use that if anyone's HP gets low. Gelgoog
attacks twice per turn, but it's still an easy fight.
After the fight, you need to go find the boy. While wandering around the
castle, you will randomly encounter an enemy called High Zaku (ハイザック),
which drops an Iron Spear occasionally, a nice weapon for Zeta at this point
in the game (you can get it later, so don't waste too much energy trying to
get it). Go down several flights of stairs to the cavern-looking area. Here,
you will find the boy still alive, but about to be executed. To free him, you
fight an easy High Zaku battle. The boy says to return to his father's, but
you mention that you don't know what happened to the horse. The boy says not
to worry, it can take care of itself.
When you return to the stables, Argama the horse has already returned on its
own. The father wants to thank you for bringing his son back by giving you
the horse, but you refuse since the boy loves the horse so much. He gives you
Argama's Bridle (アーガマのたづな) instead. He says if you use it, Argama
will come running to you in times of trouble. He also mentions that the
townspeople have rebuilt the bridge to the East. Your party is excited to
return to Algus Castle.
========================================
---= Chapter 2: 第2章 戦士隊 (Infantry) =--- [sec4b]
========================================
---Mousa---------------------------------------------------------------------
In chapter two, you take control of the Algus "infantry", led by Double Zeta.
They are also seeking information about Alex, and have come to the town of
Mousa, located South of Algus. The party is composed of Double Zeta
(ダブルゼータ), Rick Dias (Rディアス), Cannon II (キャノンII), and Jegun
(ジェガン).
In town, you experience an earthquake. Some guy says that the Solomon
(ソロモン) Mine has collaped and people are trapped inside. The path back to
Algus has also been blocked by a landslide.
Around town, you hear that a house can be seen on a small island to the
South, and the Solomon Mine is to the South. You also hear that Rick Dom II
(リックドムII) was threatening to cause earthquakes.
Head South to find the Solomon Mine.
---Solomon Mine--------------------------------------------------------------
Treasure: Ointment
At the entrance, search the rock blocking the path inside and you will break
it, freeing the people who were trapped inside. When you walk further into
the cave, another earthquake causes you to be trapped. Inside, you find an
old man who too slow to get out in time. He says he and his daughter are
explosive experts, that she could blast open the cave entrance, and that you
might be able to find another exit out of the cave to go to town and get her.
Go further into the cave and eventually you will find a staircase leading
outside, then go back to the town of Mousa. Talk to a girl in the center
house at the top end of town who is old man's daughter. She says her
explosives were taken by Rick Dom II and that you'll have to go get them
back.
---South Fortress------------------------------------------------------------
Head Southwest to the fortress. The guards won't let you in since you don't
know the password. Go back to town and talk to a kid in the 3rd house up on
right side of town. He says he overheard some of the Zeon guards telling each
other the password. Say "yes" to him 3 times to give him 20 gold in exchange
for him telling you the password (you don't have to write it down). Go back
to the fortress, where the guards will let you in now that you know the
password. On the 2nd floor, you will find Rick Dom II, and begin a battle.
Don't forget that you can camp if you need to restore your HP before
beginning the battle.
Boss: Rick Dom II (リックドムII) 140 EXP/70 Gold
He is pretty tough. You may need to buy some better equipment and level up to
levels 8 or 9 to get by him.
If your HP is low after the fight, you may want to camp. Then, follow the
path that was behind Rick Dom II to get the Explosive (ばくやく). Return to
the girl in town and you will give her the Explosive. She says to go to the
mine and she'll follow right behind after she prepares the Explosive. Go to
the mine and the girl will free her dad. She says that she can open the
passage to the North also, so your party returns to Algus Castle.
=========================================
---= Chapter 3: 第3章 法術隊 (Artillery) =--- [sec4c]
=========================================
---Rasa----------------------------------------------------------------------
In chapter 3, you take control of the Algus "artillery", which are like the
magicians in this world. The party is lead by Nu (ニュー), with the other
members being Metasu (メタス), Tank II (タンクII), and GM Cannon
(ジムキャノン).
Nu's artillery group has headed to the East of Algus Castle toward the town
of Rasa (ラサ) to gather information about the whereabouts of Alex. The
people of town seem lethargic, and Nu suspects the Zeon are responsible.
Go to the house in the Northeast corner of town and talk to Matilda
(マチルダ), who explains that a disease has spread. She asks that you go
Southwest to Mount Kilimanjaro (キリマンジャロ) to get medicine that is
stored there. She says that no one else could go because the Zeon are
hovering around there. Say "yes", that you will go, and Matilda follows you.
So head Southwest to Kilimanjaro, which looks like a cave.
---Mount Kilimanjaro---------------------------------------------------------
Treasure: Ointment
Head into the cave and eventually you will find the Chilled Medicine
(れいきのはやく). When you get the medicine, Matilda says she tricked you by
orders of Geze (ゲゼ) and she stabs you. She then snaps out of what must have
been a trance and asks for your forgiveness. You say not to worry about it,
just to take the medicine back to the townspeople. Your HP is now low, so use
Midi or camp to restore it.
When you return to town, go to the Northeast house again to see Matilda. She
says the medicine is not working because of Geze's curse. He in in the
fortress located to the Southeast, so head there.
---East Fortress-------------------------------------------------------------
Treasure: Mega Pack, Sword Cane
When you enter the fortress, it seems empty. If you exit the top of the
screen, you just return to the world map again. So return to town and talk to
the lady you see at the upperleft portion of the screen when you enter town.
She says to close your eyes and focus. So head back to the fortress, where
you close your eyes and the screen goes dark. Walk forward and you will be in
the real fortress interior. Continue through and eventually you come across
Geze, where a fight commences:
Boss: Geze (ゲゼ) 127 EXP/16 Gold
The most annoying thing about this fight is he heals himself. But he is not
very strong, so you should overcome him fairly easily.
When you win, the curse is broken and the townspeople are all better. Go to
the house in the Northeast corner of town to find Matilda. She gives you the
Force Ring (りりょくのゆびわ), which is an excellent accessory that restores
MP to the wearer as they walk. Your party returns to Algus castle.
=====================================================
---= Chapter 4: 第4章 アルガス騎士団 (Algus Knights) =--- [sec4d]
=====================================================
---Algus Castle--------------------------------------------------------------
Amuro shows up at Algus Castle to lend his support to the fight against Zeon.
King Blex (ブレックス) says that they are at war with Munzo, but King Conscon
(コンスコン) of Munzo was previously a good king. Blex appoints Amuro as the
new commander of the Algus knights and gives him the mission to find Alex.
Your party during chapter four is composed of Amuro, Zeta, Double Zeta, and
Nu. This will be your main party for most of the game. I recommend equipping
Nu with the Force Ring so he can use MP freely. The only other magic user in
the game is Amuro, but he is not nearly as effective with magic as Nu.
In Algus Castle, you can get a Wonder Drug and also Haro (ハロ) from some of
the people wandering around the castle. Haro is a scout probe that wanders
around the world map in the region near you so you can see where to go.
In the basement, you can fight Henken (ヘンケン). If you defeat him, Amuro
will be rewarded with his special skill, Union Gashouken
(ユニオンがしょうけん). The battle is pretty tough at this point, so you
might have to come back later to defeat him.
In Algus Castle, you also learn that there is a big city called Koasuli
(コアスリー) to the North, so head there when you're finished exploring the
castle.
Outside on the world map, when you battle you will notice you have the new
ability to summon backup with the command すけっと ("Support"). See the "Game
Mechanics" section under "Call for Support" for more information.
As another side note, there is an enemy named Warkapuru (ワーカプール) in
this area that rarely drops the Tactics Scroll item which can be used to
instantly level up a character.
---Koasuli-------------------------------------------------------------------
In the town of Koasuli, you will hear about a slime boss named King Azzamu
(キングアッザム) who is in the Slime Cave, to the East. Also, a lookout hut
in West won't let anyone pass because of dangerous enemies recently. You hear
of Prince Kamille's love for the princess of Munzo.
In Koasuli, you can buy insurance from a lady in the Southeast building. See
the "Death in the Party and Insurance" section of the guide for more
information.
You can also buy Carddas cards in the shop building and in the Carddas
building in the Northeast corner of town. See the "Carddas" section of this
guide for more information.
Head East to the Slime Cave.
---Slime Cave----------------------------------------------------------------
Treasure: Spirit Ball, Stardust Staff
The enemies in the Slime Cave can be pretty tough, so you will probably need
to level up and buy some better equipment. My levels were in the range of 12
to 13 when I was able to finish this dungeon. Nu learns Midi-A, a more
powerful healing spell than Midi, when he reaches level 12, so this is a good
help. Well into the cave, you will find the slime boss.
Boss: King Azzamu (キングアッザム) 400 EXP/400 Gold
Magic is not effective during this battle, so conserve Nu's MP for healing.
The boss can attack all of your party for about 30 HP and he has a lot of HP,
so it is not an easy fight. Don't forget to call for backup from the cavalry
or infantry at the start of the battle.
After winning the battle, the slime boss says to search enemies during battle
to learn their "type". If they flash red when searched, they are "Strength"
type, blue is "Skill" type, and yellow is "Magic" type. There are some that
are mixed type. He says to use skills against strength types, magic against
skill types, and strength against magic types. See the "Enemy Types" section
for more information. He also restores you HP and MP.
Now that the slimes have stopped attacking people, the guard to the West of
Koasuli is willing to let you cross the bridge. Just across the bridge and a
little North is the next destination, the town of Fonbrown (フォンブラウン).
---Fonbrown------------------------------------------------------------------
In the town of Fonbrown, you hear that you have to pass through the East
forest to get to Gattlewood (キャトルウッド). You also hear that the princess
of Munzo was speaking with a woman named Haman (ハマーン), and that they went
to the Ice Cave, which is in the West. There used to be a spirit in the Ice
Cave long ago, but now there appears to be none. You used to throw a coin in
a spring within the cave to make the spirit appear. Someone mentions that
Haman can see through an enemy's strengths. Someone also mentions that the
Ice Cave is cold, so you should bring a Pocket Heater (カイロ). Finally, you
hear that, further West beyond the Ice Cave is the town of Dublin.
First, head East to find a guy in front of a tree. It is the Gold Knight. He
is on a journey but doesn't want to share any details other than to say that
he came to this tree, which can tell one's future, in order to be pointed to
his next destination. When you speak to the tree, Gattlewood, you are told
that you need to defeat three monsters: Bawoo (バウ), Dreissen (ドライセン),
and Qubeley (キュベレイ).
Next, walk directly West from Fonbrown to find the Ice Cave.
---Ice Cave------------------------------------------------------------------
Treasure: Spirit Ball, Wonder Drug, Artillery Shield, Revenge Sword, Flame
Mantle
Without a Pocket Heater, your party will be damaged when they walk in the
cave. You must have a Pocket Heater for each character, and they must equip
it, to prevent this damage while walking. Personally, I still prefer to have
Nu equipped with the Force Ring so he can use MP freely to heal and fight.
In the cave, you will come across Haman who is imploring Yuiri (ユイリィ),
the princess of Munzo, to abandon her love for the prince of Algus. When you
speak to her, she's startled because you're Algus knights and a fight begins.
Boss: Haman (ハマーン)
If you search her during the battle, she flashes blue, meaning she is "skill"
type. So we'll go heavy magic. Call the artillery for backup! Actually, she
doesn't seem to fight back, but you're supposed to kill her anyway.
When you win, you get Haman's Glasses (ハマーンのメガネ) which can be used
during battle to show the enemies' max HP and remaining HP. The princess
thanks you. She admits she came to the cave to ask a spirit to help her get
together with Prince Kamille. You tell her to leave the cave for safety, and
she uses a Magic Rope to go. Go Southwest from this spot in the cave to get
the Artillery Shield. Another floor down in the cave, you can get the
powerful Revenge Sword and a Flame Mantle. You will also find the spring that
people say the spirit appears if you through a coin into it. If you have a
Coin and go to the spring, you will toss it in, but nothing happens. So leave
the cave after treasure collecting.
You can replace the Pocket Heaters with a better accessory now, but don't get
rid of them yet.
If you return to Algus Castle now, you can get treasure chests that were
previously guarded. You can get the King Shield, King Helmet, King Armor,
King Sword, and King Mantle, which is all equipment for Amuro.
---Training Shrine-----------------------------------------------------------
North of the Ice Cave, you can find a little shrine. An old man inside says
you can learn a skill there for Nu. It requires that you drink poison, and
enter a cave to find the antidote. During this pursuit you can't use magic.
Agree and a stairway opens behind him. Go down the stairs and you are
automatically poisoned. Just make your way through the cave, it's very short.
Open the treasure chest at the end and you get the antidote. You appear back
outside, and Nu now has the new skill Fein Blastman (フェーンばくふうじん).
Look at the "Status" menu to find it listed at the lower-left end of the
screen. See the "Skills" section for more info.
---Dublin--------------------------------------------------------------------
West of the Ice Cave is Dublin (ダブリン).
In Dublin, you hear that the horse Argama of Texas has been injured. You are
also told that Bawoo's Fortress is to the Northeast. Bawoo is one of the 3
evil demons you're supposed to defeat. You also hear that North is Dakarl
(ダカール) village.
Return to the stables West of Texas and ask the dad about the horse and he
says that he can be healed if you find a Famous Horse Sole.
When you're ready to tackle Bawoo's Fortress, buy a Duplicate Key first from
Dublin (you might as well buy 2, but you only need one for right now). You'll
find Bawoo's Fortress to the East of the training shrine.
---Bawoo's Fortress----------------------------------------------------------
Treasures: Wonder Drug, Quick Foot Mantle
In Bawoo's Fortress, the enemy Gelgoog Cavalry (ゲルググキャバリヤー) drops
the Fencer Spear randomly, a good weapon for Zeta (you're able to buy it
soon, so don't try too hard to get it).
You'll find a locked door on the 2nd floor. You can open this door if you
brought a Duplicate Key. Through the locked door you find the ice spirit of
the Ice Cave who was captured by Bawoo. She says she'll appear whenever you
need her, just throw a Coin. If you explore the rest of Bawoo's Fortress,
you'll find that there's nothing else to do here at this time.
Return to the Ice Cave with a Coin in your inventory (buy one at Fonbrown),
and go to the spring on the bottom floor where you will throw the Coin. The
spirit appears and gives you an Ice Seed (こおりのたね) as thanks for helping
her. She says it will make water freeze.
Back at Bawoo's Fortress, go to the cavern-looking area in the basement where
there is a spring. Use the Ice Seed, which freezes the water, allowing you to
walk on it. Get the chest, then continue downward to find Bawoo, who you will
fight.
Boss: Bawoo (バウ)
When you search Bawoo, he flashes blue, so he is susceptible to magic. I
found this fight to be extremely easy. My characters were at levels 22 to 24.
Bawoo drops the Owl Staff (ふくろうのつえ). Follow the path behind where he
stood to find the Famous Horse Sole (めいばのていてつ).
Return to the stables West of Texas and you will use the Famous Horse Sole to
heal the horse. Now he can cross rivers. You can use him to travel over two
rivers North of Dublin to find the town of Dakarl (ダカール). Call the horse
using Argama's Bridle.
---Dakarl--------------------------------------------------------------------
In Dakarl, you hear that there's a mountain path to the East which leads to
Fifsulna (フィフスルナ), but if you enter it, your body moves of its own
accord.
You can also find a guy in the Northwest section of town selling mushrooms
which can inflict status ailments on enemies during battle.
Head East to attempt to pass through the the Vengeful Spirit Mountain Path.
---Vengeful Spirit Mountain Path---------------------------------------------
Treasure: Madness Helmet, Flame Covered Sword
When you enter the passage, your control over your character is messed up.
Really, this just means you push a different direction to move the way you
want. Push up to go right. Push right to go left. Push left to go down. Push
down to go up.
In the cave, you will shortly come across a graveyard. If you step on the
crosses, you will be attacked. They're not very difficult fights, so if you
think it will be faster to cross one or two crosses, then it might be a good
strategy. There are a couple treasures to obtain, but your main goal is just
to pass through the cave.
Back on the world map, head Northeast quite a ways to find Fifsulna village.
---Fifsulna------------------------------------------------------------------
In town, you hear about a mysterious jewel in a cave to the Southeast that
will turn the heart of anyone who touches it to good. You hear that near
Dreissen's Fortress is a suspicious shrine and that Dreissen's Fortress is
directly South.
A guy in jail (the Northwest building) wants you to become his henchman (you
need a Duplicate Key to get in the jail cell). He says he'll tell you
something good if you agree. Say "yes" and he goes out a passage, saying he's
returning to base and that you should come also. It's East, across a bridge.
Go East to a little house, where the guy is waiting. He says he wants you to
help him get the gem in the cave to the South. So head South to the cave.
---Justice Cavern------------------------------------------------------------
Treasure: Wonder Drug, Flame Flute, Blast Shield, Spirit Ball
Far into the cave, you can find the gem. The thief tries to touch it, and
instantly realizes he should reform his life of theft. He goes back to his
house. You resolve to leave the gem where it is.
Back on the world map, go North to the thief's house again and he'll be
there. Talk to him and he thanks you. He says ordinarily you can't get into
Dreissen's Fortress, but if you go in the back, you can get in. He gives you
the Thief Ring (とうぞくのゆびわ), which he says the person wearing it can
open any door. Try it out by trying to open the jail door back in town, after
equipping it on a party member.
---Training Shrine 2---------------------------------------------------------
Just barely to the Southeast of where you exited the Vengeful Spirit Mountain
Path, you can see a shrine across a few water gaps. Cross with Argama, the
horse. Inside, the old man says that there is an object hidden somewhere in
the dungeon below. To find it, you have to go around searching each tile
until you search the correct one. He offers you a hint for 1000 Gold. The
hint is: North 9, West 17, North 14. You can't follow these directions
exactly because rocks are in the way, so just basically count 23 steps North
and 17 steps West, then search the tiles around that area and you'll find the
hidden object.
For a reward, Double Zeta gets the skill Double Moushuudan
(ダブルもうしゅうだん).
---Dreissen's Fortress-------------------------------------------------------
Treasure: Mercury Armor, Curse Flute
To get to Dreissen's Fortress, cross the bridge to the East outside of town,
then go South, past the broken bridge, until you come to some rivers that you
can jump across to the West using the horse. Follow this path until you come
to the fortress.
If you go inside the fortress, you'll find that there's nowhere to go. So
exit the fortress and circle around the left side of the building to enter
through the back.
There are numerous locked doors in this fortress, but with the Thief Ring
equipped to someone, it's no problem. When you find Dreissen, he says he
heard you defeated Bawoo, but he won't be so easy.
Boss: Dreissen (ドライセン) 2230 EXP/1192 Gold
When searched, he flashes red, so spells are not effective. Just go all out
attacking and he should go down easy.
When defeated, Dreissen drops the Dragon Shield (りゅうのたて). You've now
defeated 2 of the 3 Zeon demons. You have no leads for where to go to find
the last one, unless you remember that somebody in Fonbrown mentioned a town
to the East that you haven't visited yet.
Warp back to Fonbrown then go East through the woods. Use the horse to jump
across some rivers and you come to a shack with a giant bird in it. Its name
is Gauda (ガゥーダ) and it says its child is missing and asks for your help,
so say "yes". It says it can't have gone far. Exit the shack then re-enter.
Gauda says it thinks its kid crossed the river to Shanguriru (シャングリラ)
city and asks that you investigate. It offers to take you there, so say
"yes".
---Shanguriru----------------------------------------------------------------
In a building toward the Northeast end of Shanguriru, you find the missing
bird, but a kid there won't let you have it.
Otherwise in town, you hear that Qubeley's (キュベレイ) Tower is to the East
and that Qubeley is going to kill Pegasus Whitebase. You hear that something
is in the forest to the East and a wise man is in a house to the North.
The Northwest building in town is a Carddas dojo.
If you visit the wise man in the house to the North, he tells you about the
Dream Lens, which shows a being's true form. He heard about it from Gauda.
---Training Shrine 3---------------------------------------------------------
A little Northeast from Shanguriru you can find another training shrine. To
complete this shrine, you have to win 9 Carddas battles. I used the cards
#116: Medusa Qubeley (メデューサキュベレイ) and #113: Bawoo (バウ) to win
these battles, which I got from the Carddas vending machine in town (I lost
once with Medusa Qubeley). The difficulty of these battles is random, so just
bring a few powerful cards and hope for the best.
When you win all 9 Carddas battles, you get the Algus Knights
(アルガスきしだん) card and a skill for Zeta: Zeta Disorder Comet
(ゼータみだれすいせい).
---Dream Cave----------------------------------------------------------------
Treasure: Meteor Sword, Wonder Drug, Fierce Attack Armor, Dream Lens
By going Northeast from Shanguriru, you will find a passage leading East,
then South, where you'll come across the Dream Cave. At the entrance, you are
presented with a fork in the road. If you take the right-side path, you will
have a long trek to the Meteor Sword. The left-hand side has other treasures,
plus the Dream Lens which you must get. With the Dream Lens in hand, return
to Shanguriru.
The kid who is keeping the bird will trade you the bird for the Algus Knights
card you earned in the training shrine. Now return to Gauda's shack (by first
warping to Fonbrown). Gauda says the chick wasn't really its kid and
disappears. Talk to the kid and you automatically use the Dream Lens to make
it change to its true forn, Pegasus. Gauda changed his shape to hide him from
the Zeon. You get the Pegasus Wing (ペガサスのはね), which you can use to
call Pegasus on the world map and fly around.
---Qubeley Tower-------------------------------------------------------------
Treasure: Spirit Ball, Gauntlets of Light, Dragon Bangle, Wisdom Helmet, Zeon
Armor, Crystal Shield.
Use Pegasus to reach the tower East of Shanguriru. On the first floor, there
are two sets of stairs. The one behind the locked door will take you to some
treasure, the other leads to Qubeley, the final of the 3 Zeon demons.
Boss: Qubeley (キュベレイ) 3340 EXP/600 Gold
He flashes yellow when searched. He has a pretty powerful spell that does
damage to all in the range of 30-90 HP depending on which character it is,
but he only starts using it when his HP is low. Just keep attacking and
healing.
When defeated, Qubeley drops the Lion Axe (ししのおの).
Now you have no leads of where to go next. Return to Gattlewood, the tree
East of Fonbrown, and he will say that Qubeley is not completely dead. He can
sense evil in the
sea to the South and that you should head to the Revival Temple.
If you go South of Mousa, you can find a house on an island. The guy inside
says there is a mysterious temple in the sea. From his house, go South 40
steps and East a long ways. Flying with Pegasus, follow these directions and
you'll find a temple and a house on an island. In the house, an old man tells
you that a suspicious man entered the temple and seems to have started some
evil ritual. Enter the temple.
---Revival Temple------------------------------------------------------------
Treasure: Recovery Ring, Spirit Ball
I'm guessing you'll be happy to find that it's tiny inside, so you don't have
to delve into another dungeon. You find Yazan (ヤザン) inside. He says he's
about to revive Qubeley, but he needs someone to sacrifice, so now he has
you.
Boss: Yazan (ヤザン) 300 EXP/300 Gold
He flashes blue when you search him, so magic is not effective. He just takes
a few hits and goes down, however.
When you win, Qubeley, now called "Medusa Qubeley", appears. He was able to
use Yazan as the sacrifice when you killed him. Another fight commences.
Boss: Medusa Qubeley (メデューサキュベレイ) 4450 EXP/0 Gold
He flashes orange when searched. He has the same attack-all spell as his
previous incarnation, so he can do some real damage. But you should be able
to handle him just by attacking and healing.
When defeated, he drops the Lion Axe again, but this version is the "real",
strong version. The other was a fake.
---Munzo Castle--------------------------------------------------------------
Treasure: Ball of Light, Zeon Armor, Fortune Helmet, Shabby Staff
Fly directly East from Gattlewood, the fortune-telling tree, and you will
come across a castle surrounded by mountains. This is Munzo, the country at
war with Algus. Inside the castle, you will eventually come across a locked
door. It says it has a hole in it the shape of a shield. You place the Dragon
Shield into the hole to open it. The next locked door has a hole in the shape
of a staff. You place the Owl Staff inside to open it. The final door has
hole shaped like an axe. If you haven't defeated Medusa Qubeley, then you
place the "false" Lion Axe into the opening and nothing happens. But if you
beat Medusa Qubeley and have the "correct" Lion Axe, then the door will open.
You now encounter Conscon, king of Munzo. When he sees you, he calls for Sieg
Zeon to help him. The voice of Sieg Zeon is then heard. He says not to fear,
that the Zeon will not fall to these knights, and he transforms Conscon into
a fierce creature who attacks.
Boss: The O Dante (ジオダンテ) 6670 EXP/5050 Gold
If you search him he flashes white, which means he is equally gifted at all
abilities. He has an attack-all ability that does 40-100 HP damage. Both
physical attacks and magic do middling damage against him, about 40 HP each.
He also has a spell to make all your party unconscious. Since your attacks do
little damage, the fight takes awhile. I conserved my magic for healing, and
just attacked with all my party.
Conscon reverts back to his original form. Sieg Zeon says that the next time
you meet it will be in his world, Moore (ムーア), and runs away. Conscon
apologizes. He was under the influence of Sieg Zeon, but now the war between
Algus and Munzo is over. He says go down the stairs behind him to find Alex.
When you find Alex, you release him and head back to Algus Castle. King Blex
praises you for your efforts. Amuro says he'd like to return to Lacroa to see
his old comrades and find out if they know anything more about Sieg Zeon. The
king asks Alex to accompany you. Alex tells Double Zeta, Zeta, and Nu to stay
behind, but to come if they are called.
On your way out of the castle, Prince Kamille and Princess Yuiri of Munzo
come to thank you. Amuro gives the Pegasus Wing to the princess so she can
use it to see Prince Kamille anytime she wants, and he asks them to take
Argama's Bridle back to the kid at the stables. Princess Yuiri gives you the
Charm (おまもり).
Amuro and Alex meet up with Amuro's old comrades at Lacroa Castle, including
the legendary Knight Gundam, and they set out on a new journey.
======================================================
---= Chapter 5: 第5章 導きのハープ (Harp of Guidance) =--- [sec4e]
======================================================
Amuro and Alex speak with King Revil and Knight Gundam. Amuro talks about
finding the Moore world, and Knight Gundam suggests seeking the Harp of
Guidance for this purpose. Knight Gundam says the spirit of Gattlewood might
know where to find it.
Your new party is Amuro, Alex, and Knight Gundam. In Lacroa Castle, you can
find an Electric Lance in a treasure chest in the basement.
If you use the "Support" (すけっと) command during battle now, you can call
Zeta, Double Zeta, or Nu. This time, when you call them, you will be able to
give them commands like if they are in your normal party.
Before heading to Gattlewood, you can exit the castle and go a little North
to Sento (セントー) Village.
---Sento---------------------------------------------------------------------
In Sento, you can get the Luck Helmet in a house in the Southwest corner of
town. It has no defensive power, but if you take it to the blacksmith (in the
house just above this one), he will upgrade it to something pretty nice (the
blacksmith was drunk during the last game, so he was worthless, but in this
game he has quit drinking).
You can also upgrade your equipment in the shops here. Unfortunately, you
can't explore the rest of this country since the bridge to the West is down.
So warp back to Fonbrown and head East to speak with the tree Gattlewood.
Before leaving Fonbrown, make sure you have two Pocket Heaters.
---Gattlewood Passage--------------------------------------------------------
Gattlewood says he knows what you seek, and a passageway opens so you can go
inside him. Inside is a short cavern, and after passing through, you appear
on a world map somewhere new.
In a nearby house, there are two kids who will tell you about the Magic
Sealing Bangle in Oljirina (オルジリナ). They also say there are castles to
the West and South.
---Mara Castle---------------------------------------------------------------
Mara (マーラ) Castle is to the West. Guards at the entrance won't let you
enter, but they say they can be persuaded if you bring them something to warm
them up. If you bring two Pocket Heaters, they will let you in.
Here, you learn that Princess Mara has been kidnapped and is being held
hostage in Bekurejieon (ベクレジイオン) Castle. To enter Bekurejieon Castle,
you need the Peace Stone.
---Oljirina------------------------------------------------------------------
You can reach the town of Oljirina by circling around the North side of the
lake surrounding Mara Castle, then heading South.
There is a treasure chest in a house's basement here that you are warned not
to open because it's theft. If you do, the game says that evil has begun to
sprout in your heart. I don't know what this means, but to stay on the safe
side, I would avoid opening this chest. If you do, however, you get the Magic
Sealing Bangle.
There's a woman in town standing in front of a pool that says she will trade
you the Peace Stone for a fur coat from the tailor. If you go in the tailor's
building, located in the North part of town in one of the center buildings,
you will learn that you can get a fur coat for 29800 gold or by trading 10
Monster Furs. Getting 10 Monster Furs is a huge pain, so I personally
recommend just spending the whopping 29800 gold. Take the Fur Coat
(けがわのコート) to the lady and get the Peace Stone (やすらぎのいし). Now
you can enter Bekurejieon Castle, which is located East of town, so head
there.
---Bekurejieon Castle--------------------------------------------------------
Treasure: Bloodsucking Sword, Skull Staff, Demon Sword, Crystal Armor.
You can only enter the castle if you have the Peace Stone. Otherwise, you are
overwhelmed with negative feelings and are compelled to jump back outside.
There is a man in this castle who says he's a sage. He asks if you were sent
to help him. Say "yes" and he says he doesn't want to be helped. He came here
to get away from the noise of civilization. For your trouble, he gives you an
Acceleration Bangle (かそくのうでわ), which gives the wearer an extra attack
per turn. This is an excellent item, and I recommend equipping it on Alex.
Elsewhere in the castle is the boss, Bekurejieon. You tell him to unhand the
princess.
Boss: Bekurejieon (ベクレジイオン) 9000 EXP/3000 Gold
He flashes white when you search him, suggesting he is well rounded in
ability. The Twin spell is very nice here, which Amuro has probably learned
by now. If you cast it on a character, they will be able to attack an extra
time per turn, so cast it on each character. I recommend calling Nu to the
battle for support so you have a good supply of healing magic.
When you defeat the boss, a flash of light hits Gundam and he transforms into
the Vassal Knight (バーサルナイト) and his equipment is broken in the
process. His stats make up for it for now, but you will want to re-equip him
soon to make him even more powerful. Continue forward and you find Princess
Mara. She thanks you and asks you to meet her back at her castle.
Back at Mara Castle, open the two chests on the first floor before talking to
the princess, or you will miss them. Then go upstairs and talk to her. She
thanks you and asks if there's anything she can do for you. You mention the
Harp of Guidance. She says she had a dream that she was to give it to some
heroes, so she does, and you return to Lacroa.
=================================================
---= Chapter 6: 第6章 光の騎士 (Knight of Light) =--- [sec4f]
=================================================
The Algus knights meet with King Revil. They discuss the fact that both the
Algus knights and Lacroa knights are descendants of the Gundam. The time for
the final battle with Sieg Zeon has come, and with the Harp of Guidance, you
should be able to enter his realm.
Warning: Don't go upstairs and talk to Fraw yet before saving your game.
On the first floor of the castle, go up the now accessible stairs in the
Southeast corner to find a treasure chest containing the Vassal Sword
(バーサルソード). Go save your game and make last minute upgrades to your
equipment.
When you are ready, go upstairs from the throne room in Lacroa Castle to see
Princess Fraw. When you talk to her, the harp begins making a sound, calling
out to Fraw. She plays the harp and the sky goes crazy. Your party is warped
to the Moore world, but Amuro falls back down. Apparently he was the only
one. Sayla comes to see if he's ok, and then the Gold Knight appears. He says
Sieg Zeon placed a curse on him. He removes his armor and Sayla screams out
"Brother!". It's Char (シャア). He seems to be nearing death due to the
curse. He offers Amuro a Blue Crystal (あおいすいしょう) and he says it will
take him to the Moore world.
---Moore World---------------------------------------------------------------
In the Moore world, your party (including Amuro) arrives and hears the voice
of Sieg Zeon. He says he awaits you taking down the 3 barriers in his world.
By the way, you can use the Return spell to return from the Moore world
anytime. To get back to the Moore world, just talk to Princess Fraw again.
If you return to Sento and visit the center house at the top of town, you can
get the Zeon Slayer, a powerful weapon for Alex.
In the Moore world, wander around until you find a shining orb. There are 3
that you must find, and at each one you will encounter a boss enemy. You have
to defeat all 3 to remove the barrier protecting Sieg Zeon's tower. The Moore
world is an infinitely looping place, so it's easy to get lost. If you think
it might help, you can return to the starting point by casting Return to
leave, and then talking to Princess Fraw to come back.
If you go West and slightly North from the starting point, you will find one
of the orbs and engage the fight with Vassal Shadow.
Boss: Vassal Shadow (バーサルシャドウ) 8000 EXP/5555 Gold
He flashes purple when searched. Cast Twin on your stronger fighters for
extra attacks. He's a super easy boss.
Vassal Shadow drops the Pegasus Armor (ペガサスのよろい) when defeated. If
you wander South and slightly East from the starting position, you will find
another orb and engage a fight with Alex Shadow.
Boss: Alex Shadow (アレックスシャドウ) 7000 EXP/4444 Gold
He flashes purple when searched. Yet another easy fight, which is easier if
you cast Twin.
Alex Shadow drops the Unicorn Sword (ユニコーンのけん). I'm not sure exactly
where the final orb is relative to the starting position, I just wandered
until I found it. You will engage Algus Shadow.
Boss: Algus Shadow (アルガスシャドウ) 6000 EXP/3333 Gold
Algus Shadow is the evil versions of Zeta, Double Zeta, and Nu. They shine
white when searched. Cast Twin on your strongest fighters again, use Nu to
heal when necessary, and they should go down fast.
Algus Shadow drops the Double Suicide Axe (しんじゅうのおの) when defeated.
When all 3 orbs have been found and the corresponding bosses defeated, the
ground shakes and a tower appears near the starting point. When you try to
enter the tower, you will be attacked by two Mad Golems at every step, which
is annoying. There are a total of 5 of these battles. Then you will engage a
boss battle when you reach the entrance.
Boss: Big Zam (ビグザム) 1400 EXP/0 Gold
He flashes yellow when searched. Again, a super easy boss.
When you defeat big Zam, he turns into his true form.
Boss: Ghost Big Zam (ゴーストビグザム) 1700 EXP/0 Gold
He flashes green when searched. He's strong against physical attacks, but I
casted Twin on everybody and attacked the whole time anyway to conserve MP
for healing.
When defeated, he drops the Maju Armor (まじゅうのよろい). You can now enter
the tower.
---Titan Tower---------------------------------------------------------------
Treasure: Helmet of Light, Sword of Light, Armor of Light, Mantle of Light,
Shield of Light
When you enter the tower, the voices of Fraw, Kamille, and Yuiri cheer you
on. It energizes your spirit, and your HP and MP are restored. In the
treasure chests here, you get the Light equipment, which are equippable by
Knight Gundam. When you go up the stairs, the Algus knights stay behind to
fight some henchmen while Gundam, Alex, and Amuro go on to find Sieg Zeon. On
the next floor, however, you are intercepted by Zenonmansa (ゼノンマンサ).
Alex stays behind to fight him, so Gundam and Amuro can more ahead to find
Sieg Zeon. When Gundam and Amuro arrive at the top floor, the scene cuts back
to the Algus knight fight with the Zeon henchmen.
Boss: Zeon Bodyguards (ジオンしんえいたい) 10000 EXP/0 Gold
The bodyguards flash purple when searched. They are strong against magic, so
conserve Nu's magic for healing. The enemy gets 3 attacks per turn, but is
pretty easy.
After defeating the bodyguards, the scene then cuts to Alex's battle. I
recommended equipping Alex with the Acceleration Bangle earlier because of
this fight that he has to handle alone.
Boss: Zenonmansa (ゼノンマンサ) 4000 EXP/0 Gold
He flashes purple when searched. Alex doesn't have much options for strategy,
but if he has the Acceleration Bangle equipped, he should take down this boss
well before his HP gets low. Hopefully you have some healing items for
backup.
When you win, the scene cuts back to Gundam and Amuro at the top of the
tower. Although you are expecting Sieg Zeon, surprise! It's Satan Gundam
again, in his new form "Neo Black Dragon".
Boss: Neo Black Dragon (ネオブラックドラゴン)
He flashes white when searched. Gundam fights this battle alone. However,
it's not a real battle. Just attack for a few turns, then a cutscene will
commence.
It is revealed that Knight Gundam and Satan Gundam are two halves of the same
being. They merge to form the powerful Superior Dragon (スペリオルドラゴン).
At this point, Sieg Zeon finally emerges and the final boss battle begins.
Boss: Sieg Zeon (ジークジオン)
Sieg Zeon flashes white when searched. For now, Gundam, now "Superior
Dragon", is fighting alongside Amuro. Use Amuro to cast Twin. After a short
time, Alex joins the fight, and then the three Algus knights. Sieg Zeon is
not all that strong, but he has crazy high HP, so the battle takes a really
long time, even though your characters can damage him a lot just with their
physical attacks. Have Amuro cast Twin on everyone (except maybe Nu), and
have everyone attack every turn. Nu should conserve his MP for healing. Sieg
Zeon has the ability to cancel your Twin spell, so that Amuro has to recast
it on everyone when this happens. Sieg Zeon doesn't do this very often,
however, so it's well worth your effort to recast the Twin spell on everybody
whenever necessary (starting with Superior Dragon every time, of course,
since he's the strongest). After a very long time, you will finally kill Sieg
Zeon.
---Ending--------------------------------------------------------------------
The knights give the last of their strength to Superior Dragon so he can
deliver the final blow. Their energy forms a ball of light and Superior
Dragon delivers the killing blow. The scene suddenly cuts to Princess Fraw
waking up Amuro on the floor of Lacroa Castle. Amuro is apparently the only
one who made it back from the Moore world. He wants to know why, and Fraw
says he was chosen to protect this world. She tells Amuro that the curse on
Char is broken and that he left on a journey with his sister Sayla. Amuro and
Fraw look into the sky and see a beam of light. They hope it's a sign that
their friends are ok.
