1. Introduction:
----------------
Recently I was going through GameFAQs archive of NES FAQ's and found
this is yet to have one written for it so I thought I would have ago

------------
3. Controls:
------------
A: Accelerate To A Max Speed Of 222
B: Accelerate To A Max Speed Of 400
Select: Select Which Course You Want To Race On
Start: Pause The Game
------------
4. The Game:
------------
Once you get past the Title screen you come to a course select screen. This
gives you the option of racing on either the easy course (Course 1) or the
hard Course (Course 2). The difference is there are more cars that move off
their line in the harder course.
The object of the game is to dodge all the traffic you pass and not get hit
by any of the other cars so you can complete the course. So far I know of 3
different tracks.
Scoring:
========
Passing Car/Truck: 50 points
Collecting Fuel Car: 1000 points
Superman Fly By: 1000 points (Not crashing for an extended time period)
Different Types Of Enemy Cars:
==============================
In Road Fighter there are 5 different types of cars that you will come
across each one acts a little differently to the other. Here is a list
of each type of car and what it does.
Yellow: Stays on the same line and doesn't move at all.
Blue: Moves a little to the left or right, quite unpredictable.
Red: Moves around a lot to both left and right, try to go wide of this
car
at all times.
Truck: Holds it's line and is wider and longer than the other cars.
Fuel Car: This car is made up off red yellow and blue. If you see it run
over it get some more fuel to keep your car going for longer. You
won't make it anywhere with out it.
The Tracks:
===========
Note: For each track I recommend that you use the A button to accelerate
which gives you a maximum of 222 km/h. You don't need to go 400 km/h you
only have a better chance of crashing and it sucks the fuel down a lot
quicker.
So always stick to the lower acceleration and you shouldn't have to much
trouble passing the tracks.
Track 1:
This is a very easy track to pass provided that you collect each fuel car as
it comes along and you shouldn't have too much trouble. Stick to the
acceleration so you don't lose control. You will come to a lot of yellow
cars
on this track which is good and just be careful of the blue and red cars
that
move around.
Track 2:
This is a little more difficult than the first track. There is a heck of a
lot more yellow and blue cars around that make staying on track a lot harder
than on the first track. Also be careful of the truck that is about three-
quarters of the way up the track. Keep to 222km/h for this track.
Track 3:
Very difficult this one compared to the first 2 tracks. This track only has
2 lanes most of the time and you have to pass mainly red and blue with
precision. At most you have three lanes to work with so be very cautious.
I'm yet to pass the 3rd track when I do I will update this FAQ with info on
the next track if there is one.
Track 4:
I have recieved an e-mail from Adam L telling me there is a 4th track and
that after that it just resets back to the first track. So like all old
games they just become repetitve and continue to loop through the few
levels.
Well that is my assuption. Adam has said he will see if there is an ending
after finishing all levels twice. I'll have to get my NES out soon and see
if I can get to this 4th level and write about here.

Codes:
------
So far I know of no codes or cheats for this game but if I find any they
well be listed here.

5. About The Game:
------------------
Thanks to a few helpful emails from Adam L I think there may be a few
slightly different versions of this game. Because through Adam's
e-mails he told me of a few things that I had wrong in this FAQ to do
woth controls of the game. But I checked and what i had was right for
my version i am working off. But he had a few silimarities in his
version to mine. For example to Superman Fly By. The version i have
was released on the NES in 1991 and looks like it was licenced to Palcom
Software to produce and sell from Konami.
Interestingly enough Adam pointed out that the Data Sheet on GameFAQs.com
had the game release date during the mid 80's. So from what i have
been told and seen I think there are 2 versions of this game.
Heres my take on it. Konami might have had an arcade version of this
game and may have released it in the USA on the Famicon. It wasn't
till years later that it was given a PAL release in the UK and Australia.
In the transition they made a few changes to the game which I will
list here. Remember what i have just written is my take on it. I may
be wrong for all i know. I will try and get ahold of a ROM of the
Road Fighter Version that Adam is talking about and see what the
differences are.
Anyone else who knows more about this e-mail me so I can get it right.

Adam L:
Telling me of the 4th level and that it loops after all 4 have been
completed. Also brought the Superman Fly By to my attention and
explained how tp get it. Also bringing to my attention of the possibility
of 2 versions of this game.

Well this game isn't hard to write a FAQ for I have been working on this for
about an hour and I think I'm nearly finished all of it excepted for the
track
section. If anyone knows of something I have missed out please e-mail me at
