Poker II is an unlicensed card game for the NES in Australia. It features
four different card games, each one simple enough to pick up and play with no
problems. That's really all there is to the game; once a game ends, you can
play it again or go back to the title screen. That said, if you want to play
some card games, this may be for you, otherwise you will miss nothing by
passing it up.

=====
Max 2
=====

In this mode, every player is dealt 13 cards and the playing area in the
middle is initially empty. The first player to go in a given round has a few
options. They can put two of the same value card (two Jacks, two 8's, etc.),
five cards in a straight sequence (2-3-4-5-6, 10-J-Q-K-A, etc.), or a single
card. Depending on what the first player puts down, the other three players
need to either continue the sequence, put down a higher value pair of cards,
or a higher value single card.

You need to select the card(s) you want to use by highlighting them and
pressing A. When you have your picks ready, press B and the "OUT" option will
appear. Otherwise, press B and you will get the option to "PASS" your turn.
If you don't have the card(s) needed for the pattern, you are not penalized.
The first person to throw out all of their cards wins the game.

============
Ghost-Buster
============

In this mode, each player is dealt 13 cards. Once all of the cards are dealt,
the first round is played automatically (starting with East), with all pairs
of cards being automatically sent out into the center playing area. Once each
player is out of card pairs, the rounds are played manually. Each player
picks a random face-down card from the next player, and if a pair is made
from that new card and the player's current cards, that pair is sent out and
the next player has their turn. Otherwise, that player has an extra card and
nothing else happens. The first player to have no cards remaining wins.

==
99
==

In this mode, each player is dealt 4 cards. In the center area, there is a
counter starting at 00, with a maximum being 99. Play moves in a clockwise
fashion, starting with East. Each player must throw one of their cards into
the center area, and the counter will rise that many points. You will receive
a new card after throwing out one of your cards. Queens are worth 20 points
and a King automatically brings the counter to 99. If the counter is above 90
and the value of your card is 10 (10, J, Q) and is NOT a King, the counter
will decrement 10-20 points. If the count is at 99, you need to place a King
or something other than a Queen to keep the count there.

It seems that if you have cards that will make the counter go to 99, you will
fold your hand, winning the game.

=============
Change Around
=============

In this mode, each player is dealt 13 cards. The center playing area is
initially empty. The first player to go (East) puts out a single card of any
suit. The other three players must put out a single card of the same suit (so
if East puts out a Club, everyone must put out a Club). Of the four cards in
the center, the player who put out the highest value card (Ace is the highest
here) wins the round and starts the next turn. If a player doesn't have a
card of that suit, the round ends and that player is forced to keep the other
cards currently in the center area (up to 3 additional cards).

The first player to have no cards remaining wins.
