The game is split up into three different parts. The first one is the single
player mode, the second for a custom made board but still singler player, and
the third to play versus against each other.

Strategy:

The objective of the game is to unmask all tiles in area that do NOT contain
a mine. At first you will most likely guess a few spots but after that there
is more to it.
@ - Mine
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 - No. of adjacent mines

In this example we can see that the 2 on the middle left says there is one more
mine hidden, therefore the ? must be a mine. The 1 confirms this.

Because the lower left 1 says there is a mine, the lower of the tiles in
question is therefore one for sure. This leads to the conclusion that the
upper ? cannot me a mine, as the numbers say there cannot be any more in the
area.
By this process of elimination, you can mark the tiles as mine or sweep them
off as the game title suggests. Sometimes this is not possible, thus you can
mark the panel as a ? if desired. It is very possible that it will come down
to having to guess between two or three tiles rather than applying any
tactics.
So often there is just guessing involved? Well yes, but good guessing perhaps.
Check this example:
|??????
|?1??4?
|??????
¯¯¯¯¯¯
Chances are 4 in 8, i.e. 50% that the fields surrounding the '4' have a mine
in them. Compare that to the 1 in 8, i.e. 12.5% around the '1' on the left.
Keep that in mind when the only choice left is to take a random stab into the
field. Unfortunately, sometimes situations are unavoidable:
__ __
|11| |1?|
|??| |??|
¯¯ ¯¯
There is no way to know which ? is in actually a mine, and a guess is
definitely required at this point. Good luck!
Advanced Techniques:
````````````````````
Time plays a big part in the game, here are some tips to improve your speed
and thus become a better player.
* Open side and corner tiles first, as the chances of them being empty are
higher compared to middle ones. Empty ones, as you might know, can open a
large area to work with in a single click!
* Marking tiles is not always required. Sure it helps, but you should be able
to know which ones have mines after a while, without getting confused later.
* Don't bother marking ?s, you might as well leave it blank.
* Learn patterns, the game throws the same ones at you over and over which you
should be able to recognize eventually and mark off quickly.
You need to have 2 players for this mode. The displayer is slighty different
than normally, with the bombs and timer displays as an icon on each side. The
dots in the center represent the number of wins. Each round fills one dot for
that particular player. After 3 wins, the player wins the game.
There are 20 bombs on a 12 x 16 grid.
The timer can be refilled by clearing spaces on the board. Each number counts
as 1 second. Therefore, unclearing a number '5' would add 5 seconds to the
timer. If the time runs out for one player, the other one wins the round.
Versus Tactics:
```````````````
Do not get into a frenzy trying to beat the other player quickly, but rather
do it in a good pace. There is no tetris-style versus where the opponent gets
any mines from you if they are flagged. In fact, if you patiently unflag your
own mines then you get the time needed to survive longer. Sure, the person
finishing first is the winner, but there is no point to rush and die quickly.
