Narrator: The 1st Annual Robot Tournament was held with 8 of
the world's most powerful robots. But... Mr. X, the sponsor
of the tournament, took control of the robots and began to
take over the world.
(MegaMan and Mr. X appear, with MegaMan looking very angry.)
MegaMan: Mr. X!! Why!?
(A picture of Mr. X standing over a model Earth appears.)
Mr. X: It's time to tell you the truth. I have been
manipulating that fool, Dr. Wily from the beginning. But now
I no longer need Dr. Wily's help. Come and face my power,
MegaMan!!
(A scene with an angry MegaMan and Rush appears.)
MegaMan: We'll stop you! Follow me, Rush!

(MegaMan defeats Mr. X in his castle. Mr. X jumps onto a
small flying machine.)
Mr. X: My scheme for world domination has faild! But I
still have enough power to destroy you!
*It was actually spelled "faild" in the NES version. However
this was corrected in Anniversary Collection.*
(Mr. X throws off his disguise, revealing himself to be Dr.
Wily. MegaMan jumps back in surprise as Dr. Wily waggles his
eyebrows and flies off in his saucer.)
(MegaMan defeats Dr. Wily, and ties him up. Wily rants and
raves before being put inside a prison cell and photographed
onto a newspaper.)
Narrator: Triumphant at last, MegaMan arrested the notorious
Dr. Wily and brought him to justice. Sentenced to prison for
his crimes, Dr. Wily now rules over a prison cell. At long
last, the world is at peace.
