Welcome to 'The Quest of Ki' for the NES, a platformer released by Namco in
1988.

This third game in the series is a prequel to 'Tower of Druaga'. It follows the
priestess Ki (pronounced Kai) to rescue Gilgamesh, the hero of other games such
as Tower of Druaga. It leads directly into the events of said game.

If you didn't understand the introduction, the demon Druaga has stolen the blue
crystal rod and hides in his 60-level tower. The goddess Ishtar entrusts a
levitation device to a priestess/heroine named Ki in order to help her through
the many levels and defeat Druaga at the top.

Your aim is to find a key on each level, and exit through the door. As a bonus
there are treasure chests on most stages, which usually has good items but can
also contain bad or useless ones. Sometimes they are a mimic (enemy) or plain
empty. Often it is necessary to pick up a chest to complete the stage or make
it a lot easier to do so.


Controls:
`````````
The A button is used for jumping, but instead of jumping the heroine more or
less levitates until you let go off the button. You can control the directions
mid-air. Be aware that bumping your head against the ceiling will result in
loss of control and falling straight down to the floor below.

Hold the B button to dash. Running into a wall will result in a collision and
loss of control for a few moments. You can also dash mid-air to go faster.

The directional button move left and right.

Whereas the controls don't have a crouch button, it is still possible to duck
shots and flying hazards. Hit your head on the ceiling or wall and the heroine
will fall and take up only half the size as usual. You lose some control but it
may be very useful in certain situations.


There are two ways to die. One is to get touched by monster, projectile or
spiked floor. This can happen from any direction. The second way is to run out
of time which is given to complete the stage. Some treasure chests contain time
boosts.  Most enemies will disappear from the stage if they have caused you
death. This is not true for some fatalities like acid drops or cannons. When
you run out of lives the game is over.

Each stage starts by telling you which stage you are on, and how much time you
have available to complete it. The bottom number is the number of lives you
have left.


Time:
`````
Each second you have left on the clock after finishing a level yields points,
100 per second. There are also treasure chests with items that result in extra
points.


Treasures:
``````````

Warp:         Warps to another stage, sometimes forwards and backwards.

Gift:         10,000 points.

S-Flag:       Extra Life.

L-Flag:       +100 seconds to your timer.

Clock:        +60 seconds to your timer.

Sleep:        Makes some enemies stop moving, but you can still die from
             touching them.

Wings:        Use 'A' to stay in the air as much as you want to. Don't knock
             your head though.

Poison:       Quickly reduces the time. Not good, avoid.

Protection:   You can get hit one time without dying. You flash red.

Z:            Stops enemies, temporarily.

Candle:       Shows the otherwise invisible ghosts.

Spark:        Renders you invulnerable to the large red sparks.

Cross:        Removes the Sasquatch-like enemy from the stage.

Pearl:        Removes the big warrior with a trident from the stage.

Wave:         Prevents enemies from shooting.

Stage 1:
````````

Time: 50 seconds

The key is just on the right, and the door on further right. Simply dash over
there within two seconds. Not all stages are this easy.

Treasure Chest: Warp to Stage 6

Float up in the center, just to the right of the enemy hanging from the
ceiling.


Stage 2:
````````

Time: 40 seconds

The key is above the first ledge on the right and one can see the door just
on the right of that.

Treasure Chest: Gift

Float up on the left side, not bumping your head on the ceiling.


Stage 3:
````````

Time: 30 seconds

Levitate straight up, then right and the door is here.

Treasure Chest: S-Flag

Jump on the ledge with the pink slime and jump to the chest from here.


Stage 4:
````````

Time: 132 seconds

Lots of time available, dash to the right and collect the key hanging below
the ceiling. Continue and jump up to the higher level, then dash all the way
to the left.

Treasure Chest: Clock

It's on the right when you need to jump up to the second level. Can't miss
this.


Stage 5:
````````

Time: 103 seconds

Float up pretty much between the two ledges, slightly maneuvering to reach the
top. Fall off on the right and collect the key on the right side below the
door, and you know where the door is. It helps to collect the treasure chest
to disable the slimes.

Treasure: Sleep

After you fall down the high ledge, it's on the left below a short ledge and
left off the slimes.


Stage 6:
````````

Time: 47 seconds

Float up on the left all the way to the key. There is a raven flying around
above so don't go too high. The exit is at the top right.

Treasure Chest: Warp to Stage 11

Try to get this from below. Jump up between the two ledges and land on the
right in front of the enemy. Watch out for the bat above. When it has stopped
moving, carefully float between the two and then grab the chest.


Stage 7:
````````

Time: 66 seconds

Jump up on the right, avoiding the pink ghosts. The key is in the top right
corner. Continue left to find the exit.

Treasure: Wings

You can see it above at the start, go left and jump over the blue enemy at
the top to reach it. Careful of the ceiling.


Stage 8:
````````

Time: 96 seconds

Jump down, there is a green slime creeping around. Jump over the tentacle
thing to get the key, float up to the top and find the exit on the right.

Treasure: L-Flag

After you have the key, it's straight at top above the raven.

Stage 9:
````````

Time: 50 seconds

The key is right above the start. You can go right on either level. Top is
tricky with the low ceiling, simply dodging the acid drops is quite easy or
wait for the bats to stop and dash through to the exit.

Treasure: Poison

It's above the door, but you wouldn't want to collect it anyway.


Stage 10:
`````````

Time: 125 seconds

You have lots of time, the tricky part is in the center. First float up to
there but stay on the right. When the green slime is moving back left and the
flying ball is gone, grab the key at the top and at best land on the platform
with the door at the same time. The trick is to let go off A so you can easily
float to the right without bumping your head.

Treasure: Sleep

It's just before the door, but kind of useless unless you missed out on the
key when going up.


Stage 11:
`````````

Time: 139 seconds

First walk right, then when the fireball is gone jump but jump higher than the
ledge because there will be another fireball coming soon. Land behind it and
quickly float up to the next ledge. Stand on the pillar and grab the key, try
to land back on the pillar but you can also find a gap between the slimes if
you need to. Continue on to the door.

Treasure: Warp to Stage 19

A little tricky. Stand in front of the monster (like dropping from above) and
when it's breathing fire, jump-dash over it. Slightly tap A only and then
press B to get to the chest. You will need to jump over one more fireball
before the warp comes into effect.


Stage 12:
`````````

Time: 70 seconds

Quickly drop down and dash after the flying enemies. Jump over it and the
slime when you get to the right side and collect the key. Float up to the
highest ledge and dodge the foes until you get to the door.

Treasure: Gift

Just right off the door, but you have to jump up from below.


Stage 13:
`````````

Time: 70 seconds

Reach the next level and then time your jump to the treasure chest which will
give you a protection. At the bottom is another monster will spit fireballs.
You can time your way across this without protection but it certainly help.
The key is on the right side. Finally reach the door at the top.

Treasure: Protection

After the first fireball monster, it's on the way down.


Stage 14:
`````````

Time: 44 seconds

Get up to the ledge with the pink ghosts. From here, jump high to the key and
over to the door. I suggest ignoring the treasure.

Treasure: Wings

Not much point in taking these, but anyway you need to float across the spikes
carefully and dash the last bit, not hitting the ledge above and not going too
low.


Stage 15:
`````````

Time: 58 seconds

The key is just on the right where you start off. Then jump all the way up to
the top where the exit is.

Treasure: Z

On the first ledge. When you grab it, try to have the brown flying enemies at
a point where you can easily jump by them.


Stage 16:
`````````

Time: 100 seconds

You need the chest for this, unless you want to take a big risk. First grab
the key near the door and go down to get the treasure. Now you can see the
ghost flying near the electric sparks. Avoid both as you make it up to the
exit.

Treasure: Candle

Jump from pillar to pillar, and dodge the dripping acid.


Stage 17:
`````````

Time: 85 seconds
First get on the ledge above. Now time your jump over the frog and collect the
chest while you're there. Up on the next ledge, you can either try to swerve
your way to the key above, or wait for a good moment to land on the right of
the black slime, then jump up and to the exit.

Treasure: Clock

It's on the way up, can't miss it.


Stage 18:
`````````

Time: 164 seconds

Go left, jump and to the ledge when the coast is clear. Now wait for the
snails to be in a good position to get past them. Get the key and make your
way up.

Treasure: Gift

Just in front of the exit.


Stage 19:
`````````

Time: 59 seconds

The key is close by. After that, jump up and do a precise jump across to the
left so you can drop down to the exit.

Treasure: Warp to Stage 28

Needs very good timing. From the second ledge, jump up through the small gap
guarded by a bee and at the same time you can't hit your head on the ceiling.


Stage 20:
`````````

Time: 51 seconds

An introduction to the larger tentacle things. Jump over the one on the right
for the key, jump back and up to the exit.

Treasure: L-Flag

It's above the entrance, just avoid the tentacle hanging from the ceiling.


Stage 21:
`````````

Time: 71 seconds

First go up to the ledge, you should take the treasure chest. If not you have
to time your jump through the bees and it's kind of hard. With the treasure,
go back to the bottom level and left. All the way up at the top are two
sparks that would have killed you earlier, but now dash through them and get
the key on the other side plus the exit.

Treasure: Spark

Jump up from the start and float through the gap at the top to reach it way
before the snail arrives from the left.


Stage 22:
`````````

Time: 50 seconds

Wait for the brown things to shoot, then jump up and land on the key. Wait for
them to shoot again and jump to the next ledge, in front of the chest. From
here on it's easy all the way to the exit.

Treasure: Poison

It's at the top, but don't take it.


Stage 23:
`````````

Time: 180 seconds

Get the key you see above, then drop back down and go left. You have three
choices to get to the left side, the middle is probably the easiest. Grab the
treasure at the bottom and go back to where you started. The monster above is
now gone so go up to the exit.

Treasure: Cross

You need this, it's at the bottom left underneath the fireball spitting
monster.


Stage 24:
`````````

Time: 39 seconds

This is tough! Time is ok but there is a very difficult jump to make. Position
yourself on the right and when the fireball is coming up from the left, jump
up to the ledge. Wait there for the next one to come and jump over it, but
stay on this side of the ledge as there is tentacle creeping in the ceiling.
After you land quickly run left and over the monster. You can get the treasure
to stop the enemies but at this point you can finish the level without it.

Treasure: Z

It's just behind the fireball monster.


Stage 25:
`````````

Time: 62 seconds

For a quick solve, simply get the key and go back down. At the left side, once
you jump the flying ball will go berserk for a second which is your chance to
float by. Dodge the raven at the top and don't overlook the small spikes in
the floor. Then get up to the top.

Treasure: Mimic

Even if you'd make it near there in time, the last enemy blocks your way and
the Mimic would kill you. Well save yourself some time and don't attempt the
dangerous path.


Stage 26:
`````````

Time: 148 seconds

Run left and get the key. Dash back to the right. I highly suggest you grab
the treasure at top and dodge those enemies, it's not easy without.

Treasure: Protection

At the top right, easy to claim.


Stage 27:
`````````

Time: 92 seconds

Go left and dodge the raven. Enter the right area and grab the key while
avoiding the bust. You might want to wait for it to jump, then jump over it
and the same on the way back. Either way, continue up to the door.

Treasure: Gift

Just in front of the door.


Stage 28:
`````````

Time: 47 seconds

You can do this in three goods jumps. First position yourself below the exit
door. When you see both shots coming from the right, jump above the higher
one. You should land when the next ones have been fired already. Jump up to
the key and the next jump should be to the exit door already.


Treasure: Warp to Stage 37

From the start, go left and drop down just after the monster's fireball has
is going by. Dash left and jump up to the chest. Easier than some other chests
before this for sure.


Stage 29:
`````````

Time: 87 seconds

Jump up to the first tail creature's platform when it's walking left. Float
over it and land on the next ledge with the second creature. Drop down when
they are walking right and then collect the key. When the monsters are walking
back right, jump back up and continue to the top left. Those tails are very
long so don't get caught. From this ledge simply jump-dash over the spikes to
the exit.

Treasure: S-Flag

Above the two tail creatures on the left.


Stage 30:
`````````

Time: 30 seconds

Very easy, ignore the chest and go right to the key. Float up when the ghosts
are not around and exit via the door already. The chest will only give you
more time bonus points.

Treasure: Clock

It's on the platform above the entrance, it and makes things slightly more
difficult but still quite easy to collect and finish the level from here.


Stage 31:
`````````

Time: 58 seconds

First gently jump over the two owls sitting on the pillars. On the right side
jump up through the small gap on the top right and land at the highest point.
Grab the key and land on the treasure chest. Time this so the monster doesn't
shoot the moment you shoot when you land. Once you have the treasure you can
glide over to the left and up to the exit.

Stage 32:

Time: 93 seconds

Go left and when the ghost is flying right, grab the key and land on the
leftmost side of the upper ledge. The icicle will drop down in front of you.
Jump over it when the ghost is past on the left, then jump all the way up past
the cannon. On this platform, make the icicles drop and jump them when the
bee is not around. The exit is awaiting you.

Treasure: Gift

It's on the left where the cannon is shooting to. You'll have a hard time
getting back out though. You could try to dash in and against the wall so the
heroine ducks, then bump your head each time a shot comes flying so you are
ducked down. Tricky and not worth it.


Stage 33:
`````````

Time: 77 seconds

Get up on the next ledge and dodge the sparks on your way to the left. From
here, jump up and over to the top right when the sparks are not around. The
exit is already at the top.

Treasure: Protection

The chest above the entrance has a protection shield, it's nice, but doesn't
work against the sparks. The other chest has nothing and you'll probably waste
your protection against the tentacle thing to get it, not that it is of any
other use on this stage.


Stage 34:
`````````

Time: 73 seconds

Walk right and get up on the second ledge. Not time to rest, jump over the
magicians attacks and dodge the acid drops at the same time. When you reach
the next level there is a safe platform on the left side. The path to the door
is filed with spikes and acid drops, but it's not as hard as the previous
section.

Treasure: Clock

On the first ledge, float to the left where the pink ghosts are crawling
around and not hitting the spiked ceiling in the process. It's not hard, but
you'll spend a lot of time getting a time boost you don't necessarily need.



Stage 35:
`````````

Time: 150 seconds

Don't touch the chest, wait for the bee to go right a tad more and jump-dash
into the bottom right corner. The bee on the next level should first fly left
before you jump up there. Follow it but stay a little away from the left
corner as it will swoop down here. As it doesn't shoot you can safely let it
go by over your head and the key to the above entrance is in plain sight.

Treasure: Poison

It's in the way just next to the entrance. Jump over it.


Stage 36:
`````````

Time: 128 seconds

Jump over the obelisk above. Carefully as they jump once they have stopped.
Make your way to the top and collect the treasure chest. Now you can safely go
left and down to where you saw the key earlier, and return to the exit. Without
the chest it's extremely hard to get by the red slimes.

Treasure: Sleep

You definitely want this. It's in the top right corner of the map next to the
exit.


Stage 37:
`````````

Time: 42 seconds

There are a few ways to get the key. Going left at the pillar above and then
straight up is one way, but risky. The other way is to get to the platforms on
the left side of the exit, then up to the door and from here it's not so hard
to grab the key and safely jump back.

Treasure: Warp to Stage 44

NOT the spiked path below the entrance. It's much easier to go left and drop
down where the spiked animal is lurking around, jump the small pillar and grab
the chest.


Stage 38:
`````````

Time: 61 seconds

It's quite easy to finish this level quickly. Float up to the small pillar
above and past the higher ghost, then land on the left when the bee is going
right and behind you. Jump up to the key and the exit is just next to there.

Treasure: Wings | pearl

This is just an alternative way to get to the exit. Jump left over the owl and
grab the chest at the bottom containing the wings. Careful, the magician is
shooting from the right side.


Stage 39:
`````````

Time: 49 seconds

You can only go left at this point, so get up the first ledge but don't get
shot by the blue slime. Jump over it and collect the treasure chest. At this
point you can just float up to the top as the sparks don't hurt anymore. The
key is lying around up there too. If you want the present you'll have to take
a detour and risk getting shot by the blue slime here.

Treasure: Spark | Gift

The first chest above the entrance has a spark so you can safely go past the
large sparks blocking the shortcuts. The second ledge has a present.


Stage 40:
`````````

Time: 87 seconds

You can risk floating through straight up to get the key and arriving at the
exit, but it IS risky. Instead, go left, jump over the chest and land in the
alcove the cannon is shooting into. Grab the chest and then go all the way
back to where you started. Jump up, collecting the key in the process and land
near the exit. You can't grab the key from above, you drop too slowly.

Treasure: Poison | Candle

The bottom left corner is poison, you need to carefully jump over it. The
alcove the cannon is shooting into has the candle you require to see the
ghosts.


Stage 41:
`````````

Time: 59 seconds

The statue will let off a daze after opening its eyes. If you look at it at
this point you turn to stone and die. Luckily it opens its eyes well in
advance for you to see. First go left and collect the chest to make all small
enemies fall asleep. Return right and then jump up to where the statue is.
When it's not opening the eyes, jump to the highest level and collect the key.
From here it's easy to get left and exit the stage.

Treasure: Sleep | Gift

The bottom left corner is the sleep, very recommended to grab this. The gift
is on the right of the exit, jump over it to claim it.



Stage 42:
`````````

Time: 34 seconds

Jump up and dodge the shots, Go either right or left and up to the next ledge.
When the ghost is has passed and is behind you, jump to the exit. The key is
floating above it but don't be foolish and hit the spiked ceiling now that you
have it so far.

Treasure: Gift x2

Both the right and left side from the entrance have a gift. They aren't too
hard to reach but there isn't much time available to complete the rest of the
level.


Stage 43:
`````````

Time: 86 seconds

Not too straightforward. Try this: Go left and jump over the red slime while
dodging the acid drops. Jump to the platform above, make it to the small one
red slime is jumping about on and then get the key. It's risky, but the best
way to get here. Now jump right and the exit is nearby.

Treasure: Poison

It's in the bottom right corner. Unless you want a challenge to make it to the
exit from here, don't go there.


Stage 44:
`````````

Time: 67 seconds

Gently jump over the eagles and then the owls. The key is sitting on the last
pillar at the bottom right, and the door is above.


Treasure: Warp to Stage 51

Tough jump. Wait for the magicians to shoot and immediately float up and over
them. As soon as you land you need to jump to the chest.


Stage 45:
`````````

Time: 68 seconds

Immediately drop off on the left and walk right. Jump over the oncoming
penguin but don't jump too early as there is an eel waiting in the ceiling.
From here, jump to the next ledge past the ghost. Jumping over the penguin
you may want to add some speed as they return pretty quickly. Jump up to the
highest ledge which has both the key and the exit.

Treasure: Clock

On the ledge below the exit guarding by a pink ghost and a skating penguin.
You have plenty of time for this stage so it's only for scoring.


Stage 46:
`````````

Time: 35 seconds

Go left and up to the ledge with the bust. Easily jump over it and after the
bats have calmed down, float to the higher platform. The only danger here is a
raven at the ceiling. The key and chest are both here.

Treasure: S-Flag

In the bottom left corner. After the bust and the two bats, drop into the room
with the cannons shooting in both directions.


Stage 47:
`````````

Time: 62 seconds
Without this chest this could be hard. I suggest grabbing that first. The red
slime stops far enough of the ledge and shoots in the air. This is your chance
to grab the chest. No go back to the start and jump up to the key. The door is
at the top left of the stage, it's easy to get there at this point.

Treasure: Wave

On the right side at the lower level. The other chest is empty.


Stage 48:
`````````

Time: 77 seconds

First off collect the Wings from the chest. Now float across the narrow path
without hitting the spikes nor the ceiling. It's not easy. There are a few
spots to land. The key is along the way where you need to levitate in the
center of the corridor. Near the end is another chest as reward.

Treasure: Wings | Present

The wings are above the door, you will need it. The second chest is near the
end, you can hardly miss it.


Stage 49:
`````````

Time: 150 seconds

Ignore the path to the right. When a shot is fired off the cannon, jump into
that corridor and run after it while jumping the spike patches in the narrow
surroundings. Only slightly tap the jump to get across and don't run too fast
or you catch up with the shot. When you see the door above, slow down so you
don't crash into the wall at the end. Jump up to the key and the exit. Phew.

Treasure: Wings | Poison

So cruel. First off you need to go all the way to the right and jump the spike
patches in the narrow corridor just to get the wings. Back at the entrance,
float to the top and to the right, all the way, only to find it's poison. So
you won't need either of the two chests after all this hard work.


Stage 50:
`````````

Time: 180 seconds

Get to the ledge with the penguin and jump around it. At the top, get over the
pointy snail and drop down and to the right where a chest awaits. Return all
the way to the beginning. Drop to the right and follow that path up. When the
bee flies left you can go higher, the penguin could be a little annoying
though. Grab the cross from the chest and once again go back to the beginning
of the level. This time drop off the left side of the door and grab the key.
Levitate from the entrance and to the exit. The pink ghost is in the way so
you need to wait until he is all the way on the left.

Treasure: pearl | Cross

You need these to get through the level, it's above the left monster guarding
the key. The cross is at the top left corner, also needed to complete the
stage.


Stage 51:
`````````

Time: 30 seconds

Easy. Grab the key on the left, jump up to the ledge with the cannon below the
exit when it's safe to do so and continue on to finish the stage.

Treasure: Warp to Stage 58 | Mimic

The top left corner has a Mimic but you can see that from far away. The warp
chest is more interesting. You need to use the old "ouch my head hurts" duck
technique. Take a few steps, hit the ceiling to crouch down at the time the
shot zooms over your head. It takes some good timing but you can nails this
with a little practice.


Stage 52:
`````````

Time: 66 seconds

Jump over the pillar the magician was standing. Try jumping when fired his
bolts to make it across while he's gone. Get the chest below but don't waste
it foolishly on the upcoming bee, bust or frog. Get across the spikes and wait
for that certain bee to go left again. On the other side of the pillar, avoid
the bust and jump up over the frog at the top. There are two speeding penguins
below which may take away your protection while trying to get through.
Hopefully your timing is good enough to get the key and open the door.

Treasure: Protection

After the magician on the left. Cannot miss it.


Stage 53:
`````````

Time: 90 seconds

First collect the two treasure chests. Then go left at the bottom and
dash-jump over the red slimes. Watch the ghosts closely and dodge them to the
next ledge. Here you need to jump over the lower ghost and slam against the
ceiling so the upper on doesn't have the chance to get you. Once you recover
the ghosts should still be on the right side and it's clear to go higher. The
key is on the right of the door.

Treasure: Candle | Wave

The candle is below the entrance, the wave is past the lion above.


Stage 54:
`````````

Time: 117 seconds

First get the treasure chest as described below. Then go back to the beginning
and go left. Jump through the spark and go left at the top. The key is waiting
in the top left corner and the exit is just below. The only thing that could
harm you now are those spiky creatures on the right.

The spark is on the left side of the fireball spitting monster. You need to
go around the large tentacle and grab it before you get shot.


Stage 55:
`````````

Time: 104 seconds

Drop down on the left and land just on the right of the patch of spikes. Go
right step by step. Once the eel thing pops out of the ground, jump over it
but don't go too far right once again. There is one more of these eels in the
ground. Grab the key and slowly go back to the left. Jump up to the top. Edge
around the red slime and jump up right to the next ledge. The lower path is
blocked by an eel. Jump to the platform with the spikes and follow to this
way to the exit.

There are LOTS of areas to explore but none of them have anything but spikes,
tough jumps and enemies.


Stage 56:
`````````

Time: 34 seconds

Take one big leap to the highest left through the middle. Do so once the
magicians have zapped their energy. At the top, do not go as high as the
ceiling as there is another mage shooting from the right. Stay low and take
the key, then leave via the door on the left.

Treasure:

All three chests are empty.


Stage 57:
`````````

Time: 69 seconds

First grab the key on the left. Now you need to jump several times in
succession to pass the ostriches. They are fast like the penguins but much
larger. Only the first ledge has a small flying ball above. Land behind the
ostrich and when it comes back just gently fly over it. It's not so hard but
hitting a ceiling is most certainly death. At the top there is a present
waiting for you at the door.

Treasure: Gift

It's before the exit door you would need to jump over it to miss out.


Stage 58:
`````````

Time: 74 seconds

There are two ways to finish this. One way is to go the left path and collect
the wings, then turn around back to the entrance. Now go right and follow the
path to the next chest. Jump when the cannon is shooting and use your Wings
to get across the corridor. The other way is to get the Spark first, turn
around and make it to the Wings. Now fly up and go the to the exit, this is
slightly easier.


Treasure: Wings | Spark | Gift

The Wings are below the high corridor with the rapid sparks at the top, left
from the entrance. The Spark is on the right path before the long spiked
corridor and the cannon. The Gift is on the left side of the door.


Stage 59:
`````````

Time: 112 seconds

Go up instead of left and dash to the left here via the chest. Now drop down
and go up on the left side. You'll want to get the Wings at the top. Land
on the ledge just below and wait for the bee to start going right. Quickly
jump up there and dash in to grab the chest. Go back to where you just were
and then wing it to the right. Grabbing the chest with the wave is recommended
but also risky. Either way, dodge the ghosts on the right and make it up to
the exit.

The protection is near the spark in the center of the map. The Wings are at
the very top guarded by a bee. the Wave is a little bit below, on a path of
spikes. You need the Wings for this, and control well.

180 seconds to do what exactly? Simply jump up two levels and go left. The
game will take over the rest.

Stage 61:

Go left and dash past the spark. Get up to the next ledge and dash left when
the spark has just gone up past the heroine. Grab the wings and go back the
same way. Now for the mines. They are hard to get by but after all these are
the challenging stages. Fly over the first one, get to the platform and jump
over the next one. Grab the key and fly over to the exit on the right hand
side.

Treasure: Wings | Warp to Stage 61? | Gift

You need the wings or die trying to get to the exit. The warp gives you the
usual dragon picture but for some reason just restarts the level. Hmm. Anyone
to translate? The Gift is at the exit door.


Stage 62:

Time: 60 seconds

Not too hard. Go right and fly up to the platform. Jump over the frog and find
a way to land. Now go up and to the exit. Hey it's that Pac-Man ghost!

Stage 63:

Time: 60 seconds

Pick up the key and go left. This is the first hard part, getting past the
flying ball. Jump up on the side you want to, just when the ball hits it. You
should get past unharmed. The next jumping enemy is a little harder. You have
to jump high and dash past it in the air when it's landed. Tough to do and
also requires the small pink snail to be away. The rest of the stage is easy.

Stage 64:

Time: 50 seconds

First go up and grab the candle and the clock is also good. The get the
pearl in the bottom left corner. Now go back up to the top and go right to
find a cross. Now go back to the entrance and further right. At the bottom
right corner you will find the key. The exit is a down from the chest with
the cross, yes that's all the way back up. It's a good thing you took that
clock from the chest, right?!

Treasure: Wave | pearl | Candle | Cross

The wave is to the right of the entrance. The pearl is at the bottom left
corner. Find the candle at the top left. The clock is above the entrance.
The cross is at the top right.


Stage 65:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

Take the candle on the way at the right corner. Now you can see the ghosts
above. When the lower one is going left, follow it and stay low. On the left
side you need to jump up to the next ledge. Soon the icicle will fall down
just in front of the frog. Land just between the two enemies, perhaps stay a
little to the left near the icicle. Once you made this jump the rest of the
level is easy.

On the right side of the bottom level.


Stage 66:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

Jumping is extremely awkward here. You get dragged to the left and when you
land you need to make sure you don't slide to the left. So this first part is
very frustrating to get through. After you make it to the left. Jump up all
the way to the top where the key is floating. Getting past the black slime
is not as hard as the previous jumping activity and luckily this is nearing
the end already.

Stage 67:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

At first just make it up to the top, nothing new here. Bats and the blue slime
shouldn't be too hard. Follow the cannon's shot and drop down but immediately
face left so you don't turn to stone. Dropping down is quite tricky, as if you
take too long the statue will still turn you to stone down here. Try dashing
to the left just below the platform so you hit the right side and fall past
the two ravens below.

Treasure: Present

Behind the fireball spitting monster. Worth it?!


Stage 68:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

This stage is just one big room with flying ghosts and a few of these balloon
enemies that follow you. Dash left for around one second and fly straight up
to find the key. Now float down on the left side towards the exit. It's a
little random when you get shot but you can try to dodge them with dashes.

Treasure: Warp to Stage 51 (!)

It's in the top left corner of the large room, in case you want to go back
to some earlier levels for any reason...

Stage 69:
`````````

Time: 50 seconds

Ignore the penguin trail on the right and get the key above. Now wait for the
ostriches to arrive. When the second one is below, get down and dash after
them. Slow down towards the end as you will catch up with them and you will
also want to control your escape jump from this passageway. Hitting the
ceiling can still be recovered in time but try not to.

In front of the exit.


Stage 70:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

Get up to the next level, dash underneath the jumping guy as the nugget kills
you as well. On the next level you need to jump over the triple stacked balls,
and then jump underneath the Pac-Man ghost without hitting the eel afterwards.

Stage 71:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

Go right and up to the blue cannon. It shoots a little bit quicker than the
brown ones. Land and quickly dash left and up to the key plus exit. It's not
easy but you also try to bump-duck the shots if you don't like to be rushed
with the jumps.

Treasure: Gift

The lower chest has the gift. The one above the door is empty and well guarded
anyway.


Stage 72:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

The start is easy, remember those brown balls will stay on the spot once
you jump. There is also another one of those gravity drags going on so you
jump goes more left than you want it to. Get up to the chest with the wings.
Now you need to time your jump past the spark and the ball. With the wings
it's easier to float below the ball, but you continuously get dragged to the
left so it's quite tough to find a good opening.

Below the spark on the left of the raven. Very helpful.


Stage 73:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

You cannot see the brown ghost in this level but you can see it shooting.
Go left past the bat and jump on the small pillar. Now watch the two blue
ghosts and the shots from the invisible one just above you. When the blue
ghost have just started going right and the invisible ghost has taken a shot
towards the right side of the screen it should be clear to jump up. But the
fun doesn't stop here. Once you are up you need to quickly land and dash to
the right. Doesn't matter if you hit the wall there as it's home free after
this.

Treasure: pearl

Where the two blue ghosts fly left and right. If you don't take this you
need to go back the hard way.


Stage 74:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

Tough, tough stage. The wind will drag you to the right in the air. Keeping
this in mind, slightly jump to the left and then slowly go up to the key
without hitting the nugget. Now the fun begins. Descend and before hitting
the spikes, get around over the eagle and back down. The ceiling is dripping
acid all over so dodge them left and right to the top. You cannot even land
on the ledge with the owl. Once you made it to the top, there is an eel
waiting just past the tiny pillar so don't think you are done yet.

The wings are just next to the start. Without it you are history.


Stage 75:
`````````

Time: 50 seconds

Small and in my opinion easy stage. After picking up the key, position the
heroine on the left below the first pod.. Now at the exact point when the pods
open their missile slot, jump stay on the left side. When the pod on the
third storey has shot off the missile you should steer towards the top
right corner.

Stage 76:
`````````

Time: 100 seconds

First grab the Wings as described below. Now go up and left at the top. Drop
down and further left. When you are above the big foe, go up and grab the ball
near the exit door. Go back down where the foe was and follow the path to the
key. Now it's time to backtrack to the exit. The only hard part is getting
the wings at the start.

Treasure: Wings x7? | Warp to Stage 44

From the entrance, go up and left and past the spikes for a chest with Wings,
but they are tough to get. Unfortunately this is the only chest with Wings
that doesn't require to have Wings in the first place. Below is a warp.


Stage 77:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

Ascend to the key. Now you need to time your drop past the frog and land next
to the toy. Now quickly jump again and land on the save spot ahead. Next,
dodge the acid drop, toy, the frog and yet another toy. The float over to the
exit with a bit of dash in your body.

Treasure: L-Flag

You need to go left and jump the pillars in the narrow area. It takes a while
and you only have so much time to get back and complete the level.


Stage 78:
`````````

Time: 80 seconds

If the first jump is already so tough, what does it tell you about the rest of
the stage? You need to get around to the next ledge when the penguin has hit
the left wall so it will arrive when you do but not too early. Dash after it
and on the left side quickly jump over it when you can. With the wings in hand
you can easily ascend and get around the spiked platforms. You could try
landing on them but it's risky. When you get past the owl and go up the long
corridor, stay on the right wall to get the key. Float left and land after the
second acid spot. Now how to get past the eels hanging down from the ceiling?
Easy, dash through them before they fully extend! Here's the exit, finally.

Stage 79:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

Worst...stage...ever. It's flawed and depends a lot on luck. You have to deal
with strong winds and random Pac-Man ghost movements. After getting the key,
go down and wait above the cannon. Dash after one of the shots and at the end
you *must* jump or the next shot will hit you. Avoiding a shot will only delay
the inevitable. Thus you also *must* get past the Pac-Man ghosts and you
*must* land at the top or die in the next spikes. It's very, very tricky and
depends a lot on how the ghosts are aligned when you get there from the
dashing. Don't complain to be, complain to Namco. Anyway, when {IF} you made
it to the top, the next fun starts right here. Use short bursts of dashing
to get down but do not get caught at the bottom platform. Basically you can
land on the right edge of each small platform but it's hard to do. And you
need to land on the last one so you can jump off and get to top right corner.
Once there, it's just a matter of getting past the small toy. Unfortunately
the winds are so annoying the even make jumping to the door a difficult task
and bumping your head makes you vulnerable to the slow toy after all. Why
do I get the feeling we should have had Wings for this stage?

Stage 80:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

First go up to the top. Don't be tempted by the key as you can only go down
from here and hit the sleeping guy there. Instead, dash-jump to the left and
land at the exit. From the pillar, go down to the left and then right.
Continue until you find the wings. From here go left and ascend through the
small gap. At the top, grab the key and exit.

Treasure: Wings | L-Flag

Wings are at the bottom left corner. The L-Flag is on the left of the entrance
and right of the sleeping guy. You need the wings first and the drop in from
above the entrance. Grabbing the L-Flag wakes up the guy and I think he speeds
up the stage.


Stage 81:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

Not too hard compared to the previous stage. Walk to the bottom left corner
and prepare to do some precision jumping. When the hedgehog is nearly on the
left side, jump up to the ledge. You can float higher and land when it's safe.
Then you need to continue jumping up without a breather, as a bad jump could
ruin the entire thing. Once you made it to the large pillar, watch the space
at the bottom right. As soon as you see the fireball coming into the screen,
jump down to the gap of the spike patches. Gently grab the key above to also
dodge the shot, then get up to the door.

Stage 82:
`````````

Time: 15 seconds

You need to collect the clock first. Go right and when the cannon at the
bottom has shot, follow it and up to the chest. When the upper cannon is about
to shoot, get up there and then dash left to safety. From here, go up and left
at the top to the chest with the Wings. Use the Wings to go across to the left
side for the key and not having to deal with any of the nuggets. The exit is
in the third tall room on the left side.

Treasure: Clock | Wings

The clock is on the right side of the stage. The wings are somewhere above
the entrance door.


Stage 83:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

First get over those two poison chests, then wait for the cannon to shoot
and dash after the shot. On the right side, quickly jump and collect the key,
face left and land so the statue doesn't turn you to stone. Now jump up to
around the middle height of the fly's circle and then dash through it. It's
much easier than it looks. However, land around the gap on this platform and
not further left because there is a brown dangle in the ground. Simply jump
over it to the exit.

Treasure: Poison x2

The first two chests when you start the game are poison bottles so you will
need to jump them carefully.


Stage 84:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

Pick up the wings and start floating along the long corridor. There is a
small alcove where you can stop for rest as well as a small patch next to some
spikes when you go higher. When you reach the exit you still a key to open it.
Get on the platform with the hedgehog, jump over it when it comes back while
you grab the key and then get up on the higher platform to safety. The rest is
elementary.

Treasure: Wings | L-Flag

Near the entrance, of course you will need them. After a longish path of
spikes there is an alcove above with the L-Flag chest.


Stage 85:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

First get down to the lower part by jumping left a bit, turning around and
then dashing right. Next you need to jump higher and get to the top left for
the key. From here you could try to dash over to the right but hitting the
ceiling or overshooting into the ghosts is very probable. Instead, go back to
the bottom left, then jump up to the right pillar. Watch the ghosts. When the
second one hits the wall on the right, jump into the bottom right corner of
this pit. Quickly jump up and go right before they return. This is the
toughest part now. You need to jump off to the wall on the right, turn around
and dash into the gap underneath the platform. It takes some practice. Also
you cannot just dash into the wall on the left as there are spikes underneath.
Instead you should slow down here and then slowly descend to the left where
landing isn't too difficult.

It's on the left of the exit, of you did take the key you better jump over it
to reach this, should you want to!?


Stage 86:
`````````

Time: 70 seconds

Dash to the right past the bat and stand on the edge of the ledge above. Just
dash through the circle the fly is making, just don't go too far left. For the
second fly you need to jump over it when it's just past your head. You can
safely land in front of the spikes with enough space between it and the fly's
circle. Get up to the next ledge. Do some small jumps to see where the blue
ball is at above. When it's about to hit the left wall, jump up near the small
podium and grab the key, then drop off to the left before it gets you. The
two fly is pretty much the same as the platform below, but now you need to
do the dash and jump in one go. It's quite easy, but there is an extra bit to
consider. There is a brown dangle inside the ground further right, so when you
jump, jump higher below the ceiling to hit the wall on the right. Then you can
just jump up and left from here to the exit.

Stage 87:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

For the first part, stand on the small pillar and jump when the magician is
zapping at you. Land over on the right just one field next to the other small
pillar as there are brown dangles in the floor. Jump each one slowly
in-between the magician's magic attacks. On the right side, get up to the next
level and stand near the edge. This is the opposite as the previous level, so
first you need to jump into the circle and then dash to the left. Once you
have jumped, wait half a second and then dash or otherwise you are too fast
and hit the second fly.

Stage 88:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

First the difficult part. Walk right and land on the small patch on the right
or get up to the edge of the spike-laden platform. Both jumps are difficult
but you need to get up there. The wind doesn't help of course. Continue up to
the top and then go left. Grab the wings. The rest is pretty straightforward.
Take the key and fly back up, taking into account the extra steering needed.

Stage 89:
`````````

Time: 80 seconds

Take the lower path on the right, jump over the obelisk, then the eagle and
take the upper route while dodging the ostrich. Next, take the lower path once
more past the pointy snail and stand on the tiny panel it can't reach. Wait
for the pink ghost to walk left and then jump there and up to the pillar. When
the magician is dematerializing, jump where he was standing and then up the
higher level. Dash left, all the way left, don't even stop and you will grab
the chest, key and arrive at the exit in no time.

On the highest ledge but right off the big Spark so you need to go around.


Stage 90:
`````````

Time: 110 seconds

First, stand on the left of the first spark. When it's going up, quickly jump
in-between the gap of the pillar and dash to the right. Not too far though,
as the last gap has a spike. You should be on the last pillar now. Float up on
the right and land at the top. Now slowly jump from pillar to pillar and to
the left side. Grab the chest and go back for the key. When you are back at
the first pillar, wait for the Pac-Man ghosts to hit the right pillar you are
standing on and drop off to the bottom.

On the first tall pillar, but you need to go around the right side to get it.


Stage 91:
`````````

Time: 90 seconds

Getting over the pillars is not so hard, just some annoying wind to consider.
The next path requires the ceiling-hit-duck method. Every few steps you need
to bump your head so you duck underneath the shot, get your timing right and
it's not so hard. At the end, go up to the top and ascend over the blue
cannon. Go left and enter the

What a luxury, you don't need this at all. If you want it for any reason,
instead of going up from the brown cannon to the blue cannon, enter the
corridor between them on the left and follow the spiked path. It's difficult
to maneuver so be warned. You might even have trouble finishing the stage
under the time limit.


Stage 92:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

This is a very hard level. Get down to the small pillars and jump from one to
the other until the mid-way points with the eagles. Grab the key and land on
the right one. Repeat the jumping to arrive on the right. This is extremely
hard to pull off. If you have lives to spare, remove one of the eagles and
jump over the mines instead.

It's at the bottom left corner on one of the pillars.


Stage 93:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

You might think the Z will help stop the spark at the top but it doesn't last
long enough to get there. Instead, hope you picked it up at good moment so
those hedgehogs are positioned nicely below, jump over them to the right. Past
the two tentacles and then the lower path. To get past the cannons, wait for
them too shoot and gently jump into the middle of them. Quickly jump again to
get all the way to the top. Jump over the hedgehogs here and grab the key on
the left side of the path. Return to the exit.

Left of the entrance is the Z.


Stage 94:
`````````

Time: 120 seconds

First we need the wings to advance. Awkward winds here, steer to make up for
it. Get up to the top and after the bust you need to drop down and land on the
left side of the small platform. Jump to the right of the platform to collect
the chest, a minor burst will help staying alive. Now return to the start. Go
along the corridor, then up and around the ostrich. You can just about squeeze
past it without bumping your head. Grab the key and leave this stage behind.

The chest above the entrance and to the right has the Wings you need to
advance at the bottom.



Stage 95:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

Getting past the first cannon requires a pin-point jump. Your heroine just
fits above the shot and below the ceiling. That's where you need to be when
the shot passes underneath. Get around to the other side and prepare for
another dash across spikes chased by a shot. Jump down just before the cannon
shoots to be far enough ahead of the next one, but you still need to dash a
few times to stay ahead. When you see the pink ghost above soon you should
jump far up and onto the platform above where the obelisk is. Jump over it and
collect the key. Drop down and left. Take the clock on the left if you need
it, but for above chest you need to stay on one side (right) and jump-dash
over the spikes. Now you can safely pass the spike ball and continue left to
the exit.

The clock is a little bit down and right of the spark ball. The spark is above
the spiked platform right of the spark ball.


Stage 96:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

Another dumb luck stage. I find it easier to do long dashes forward rather
than do lots of small quick jumps over each fireball. It worked a lot more
times if I jump up and far ahead and land just after an oncoming fireball. In
about two long jumps you should reach the other side. Get the key at the top.
On the way back, I found it easiest to land in front of the monster's fireball
and then continue jumping. As you only need to go around half-way it's only
about one jump and then already up to the exit.

Stage 97:
`````````

Time: 60 seconds

Getting the key is not hard, the bee guards it poorly and you can quickly
swoop it and out. Get past the blue Pac-Man ghost and then wait for the other
two going left. You'll need to jump up and left a little and then dash into
the alcove on the bottom right to get the chest. Now it's just a simply matter
of winging it past the ghosts to the exit.

Required to get up to the exit. It's the chest left of the entrance.


Stage 98:
`````````

Time: 80 seconds

One of the harder stages. Get to the left side, then the fun begins. In the
center tunnel, dash through to the key and smack into the ceiling or wall to
duck from the shot just behind you. Now getting back is A LOT harder. You need
to dash into the ceiling across the next spikes on your left, because
otherwise you get shot by the next cannonball. Therefore a small running start
is required from the most right you can stand without hitting spikes. To also
get the maximum amount of time (required) to make this impossible jump
possible, hit your head on purpose so the heroine stands up just when the
previous shot passes. Tough, tough, tough. You also risk hitting the ceiling
too early, stepping into spikes, getting hit by the shot... Well if you do
make it back, at least the stage is pretty much complete. Oh no it isn't! The
middle bit between the two spikes on the top level has a brown dangle. After
all this work, don't get touched by a silly sausage and make a big jump over
it.

Stage 99:
`````````

Time: 80 seconds

First let's get the Wings. Go left and drop to the first ledge you can take to
the left. Go up and carefully go around the mine. Get back and then drop to
the bottom level. Go left and fly over the penguin, to the top and then to the
chest. You need the extra time. Backtrack to the entrance. There are two ways
to get the key. One is to go up and dash through the spike. It's obviously
very risky. The safer route is to go down the step-like platforms and
carefully fly over the penguin. On the other side, go up and follow this path
over the spike to the key. Return right and down where you came from but
follow it down some more. Go left, fly over the bee, then over the frog and
finally arrive in the bottom left corner. When the acid has dropped, quickly
ascend all the way without stopping.

Treasure: Wings | Clock | L-Flag

The clock is in the chest guarded by a mine. The clock is a little down and
right of the big spark going horizontal on the left side of the stage. The
L-Flag is near the horizontal spike on the right side of the stage.


Stage 100:
``````````

Time: 100 seconds

First you need the spark chest. It's the third one hanging below the spikes.
As you know what to do in the next part, take your time to grab this safely.
With this you can enter the left area with the many storey. Get down to the
second level for the cross. Then go up to the eight level previously guarded
by the Sasquatch-like monster and find the pearl. The exit is now available on
the middle floor. The key is waiting on the left of it.

A lot of these chest are empty. The second from the right is the warp.
The levels on the left have the rest of the treasure. These are all guarded
by sparks so you need to get that first:

2nd: Cross
