1. Introduction
---------------
Not many people know this, but there is an Altered Beast for Nintendo. It was
released in Japan, but never here. You can however, find a Japanese rom of
Altered Beast. Note that the Lord of the Underworld is technically Hades,
{since it's using Greek mythology}, but they don't really say it's him.
--------
2. Story
--------
The Goddesses Athena has been abducted the Lord of the Underworld. Athena's
Father Zeus, resurrects a centurion soldier, you, and bestows you the power to
morph into a beast. Using this power you must battle through eight stages and
rescue Athena from the Lord of the Underworld.
----------------
3. Controls/Tips
----------------
D-Pad - Move Character
Up - Jump
Down - Crouch
B Button - Kick/Melee
A Button - Punch/Projectile
- Press Up 2x, to execute a double jump. Handy for airborne foes.
- Melee is more powerful, but can leave you open to attack, if your not
careful.
- When crouching, your kick turns into a upward kick. So, if you're trying to
attack in front of you, use punch.
--------
4. Items
--------
There is only one item in the game.
Morph Orb - These items come out of a defeated Albino Dioskilos. These orb are
silver, with electricity surging around it. This orbs continually
make you stronger until you finally turn into the level's Altered
Beast. You need three to transform completely.
----------
5. Enemies
----------
Through out the game, you will encounter strange many beasts.
Zombie - The first and one of the weakest enemies you encounter. In the
original arcade, they can explode when you get to close, but not in
this version. All they do is continually move in the direction there
facing. They pop out of the ground and are extremely slow.
Dioskilos - These two headed wolfs, {which I named them after the two headed
dog from "Clash of the Titans"}, are very predictable. They
continually make short jumps forward and never stop. There are two
kinds of Dioskilos, Albino and Common. The Albino's have Morph
Orbs, which transform you into your Altered Beast. Note, that
whenever a Common appears, an Albino will be close by. Note,
through out the walkthrough, I will refer them as Common and
Albino.
Ghoul - Ghouls are undead creatures that hold their head in one hand and punch
with the other. The best way to attack them, is to continually crouch
punch, until they walk right into you.
Goliath - These large, decomposing creatures are quite strong. If your in your
first human form, it may take a few hits to kill. The best tactic is
to crouch punch, but he has the ability to punch downwards, so watch
yourself.
Gargoyle - These flying creatures can be bothersome. They continually track you
from the air, then fall straight down and try to slash you with it's
talons. In human form, you will have to double jump and kick or
punch it once to kill it. As an Altered Beast, you can double jump
and just use your projectile attack.
Jackal - These red skinned, humanoid animals jump back and forth really high.
When they land, they rather punch or sweep kick. The best tactic for
this creatures is to watch its movements and when it lands, attack.
Vulture - These green birds are like Gargoyles. The only differences is that
they attack diagonally and fly in the middle of the screen.
Demon - These purple, winged humanoids are exactly like the Gargoyles. The only
difference is that he uses a hammer to attack.
Globule - These are strange looking creatures. They are large, green blobs,
with a large mouth and two eyes. They hop about, until you get to
close to them. This is when they attack, they jump up in the air and
try to latch on to your head. Swirl the D-Pad to get it off quickly
and kick it, before it attacks again. They can also pop out of the
ground and fall from the sky.
Wyrm - These large, dragon serpents pop out of the ground and ceiling. You get
a warning from the rattler on the tip of its tail, before it flies up
or down. It's to hard to kill them in human form, so in Altered Beast
form, use any attack to hit its head.
Gryphon - These creatures make a comeback in "Golden Axe". These strange,
bird-like creatures attack by swinging their tail. Not a real threat,
but they are faster then most monsters in the game.
Antman - These humanoid ants just run across the screen. Just watch out for
their speed.
Turnail - A strange creature that has a face and shell of a turtle, but the
legs of a snail. From time to time it hides in its shell, but other
then that it's quite weak.
Manta Ray - This sea creature is a waste of time. All this creature does is
swim across the screen. Don't bother to attack unless its in the
way.
Ammonite - This shell creatures can get on your nerves. It moves by jumping in
the air, then rolls diagonally down. This also acts as its attack.
Attack only when you think you can't dodge it.
Hammerhead Shark - Almost a waste of time like the Manta Ray. It moves across
the screen and at times, it gets a burst of speed to ram
you. Don't bother attacking unless it's in the way.
Merman - These humanoids can really be annoying. It's like the vulture, only
worse because it takes a few hits to kill and this movements are a
little bit hard to predict. The best you can do is to attack him
before he attacks or if you think you can, attack when he is about to
attack.
Crustacean - These strange creatures have a humanoid body, snake-like tail and
pincers for hands. The movement is predictable. They move forward
a bit, then slash about with their pincers and repeats. Not a real
threat
Jersey Devil - These strange demons have a head of a goat, a human body, and
snake's lower torso and wings of a bat. These demons act like a
Vulture, only they punch and they usually fly away after one
pass.
Drake - These small green dragons don't do much. They move forward, stop and
jump. They continue this until they are off the screen.
Bruiser - This goat-man fights like a boxer, meaning he hops back and forth and
punches when it gets the chance.
Unicorn Warrior - This humanoid unicorn can be annoying. Its attack is a jump
kick, which travels in a arc. Try to get under it.
Bouncer - The humanoid warthog has a powerful punch, which surges with energy
when executed. Crouch punch is the best way to fend off this enemy.
Dilofish - These strange fish can roll up like a armadillo and roll towards
you. Crouch punch works best.
---------
6. Bosses
---------
Here is the list of bosses, straight from the walkthrough.
Abomination
Stage 1 - The Graveyard of Heroes
HP - 20
This strange looking boss has one attack: it can decapitate himself and throw
four heads, that travel straight, then down. His attack tracks you only in the
general area that your in, so it's not accurate. You can destroy his attack
with either of your attacks. The best way to attack is using your Projectile,
because using your Melee will damage you. Although, if you find the right spot,
you can use your Melee. To kill him, you need to hit him 20x. The best tactic I
found, was to stay on the far left and attack him with Projectiles. Then, when
his heads are about to hit you, use Melee to destroy them and continue your
assault with projectiles. Then just keep going back and forth until destroyed.
Warhog
Stage 2 - The African Jungle
HP - 20
This giant, humanoid hog has one attack: he fires large fireballs from his fist
that travel in an arc. When they land, they set the area on fire, making it
hard to dodge. His fireballs do track you, but use your Melee to destroy them.
You can also put out the fires with either of your attacks. A neat trick you
can do is to punch the fireballs as they land on you, and if your lucky, your
Projectile to fires at the Warhog. Basically, just use your Melee to go back
and forth, and when you get the chance, hit him with your projectile. An easier
way to kill him is to first see how far his fist comes out from under the
ground. Then get as close as you can to where its fist comes up and attack
every time it executes its attack. This will destroy the fireballs it throws
and hurt it in the process. It may hit him 20x to destroy
him.
Beholder
Stage 3 - The Black Swamp
HP - 20
This multi-eyed beast is quite easy. His attack is to fire four floating eyes
that moves in an predictable pattern. Note that two eyes move faster then the
other two. To beat him, you must hit him 20x in the large, central eye. The
best strategy I found was to wait near the bottom of the level until he fires
his eyes, then fly up and hit him four times with either attack. Then repeat
until dead.
Mollusk
Stage 4 - The Cave of Darkness
HP - 20
This dragon snail has an annoying attack: he fires four large fireballs that
not only moves in a downward spiral, but also covers the left side of the
screen to the shell of the creature. The only good news is that it's slow and
there is a trick to dodge it. First, get as close as you can to the shell, then
turn left and crouch, then when the fireballs get close to you, use your Melee
and you should land in the middle of the swirl. Now while your doing this,
attack 20x to kill it. It also has the ability to fire mucus in the swirl,
along with the fireballs. Luckily, they can destroyed.
Kraken
Stage 5 - The Sunken City
HP - 20
Ready for the hardest boss in the game!?! The reason that it is hard is that
its weak point is guarded well. The Kraken has two attacks, {and one acts as a
shield too}; first he can spit globs of ink at you, and he swings one of his
tentacles around. His weak point is the eye closest to the mouth. Because of
his tentacle guarding it, and his accurate aim with its ink globs, it's hard
to get a hit. The best way to attack is to stay near the top of the screen,
{preferably in the middle}, and continually dodge his ink globs, until it
starts to move its tentacle away. Then quickly swim to the left and shoot his
eye. Also note that he swings his tentacle away from his eye twice, so try to
attack at his second swing. This may take a while, since it's hard to hit it's
eye and you can only get one shot at a time. After twenty hits, the Kraken will
fall. Note, you can't destroy the ink globs and you can't hit him with your
Melee.
Efreet
Stage 6 - The Great Halls
HP - 20
This boss I would consider to be the second hardest boss of the game. It has
two attack: he can fire a stream of four large magmaballs, and can summon
little firebirds to help. The firebirds can get annoying, only if you are
trying to dodge his magma stream. The best way to dodge his magma stream is to
double jump, and just as you nearly touch the stream, use your Melee. Now as
you are doing this, try to use your projectile attack as much as you can. Note,
they he will not shake when you hit, so don't worry if you think you didn't hit
him. Another quick note, DON"T USE THE TIGER KICK NEAR OR ON HIM, because you
will only hurt yourself. Hit him 20x in the large red orb in it's stomach, and
it will fall.
Beelzebub
Stage 7 - The Volcano Plains
HP - 25-30
Is it just me, or does he have really big man boobs? Anyway, this servant has
two attacks: he can spit purple worms, and summon lightning, which are both
destructible. The summon lightning has a pattern, so start counting. Other then
that, this servant is relatively easy compare to the last two. His weak point
is the bubbling mass on his lower torso. I think it takes about 25-30 hits to
kill.
Lord of Darkness
Stage 8 - The Final Battle
HP - 25-30
Appears a large humanoid rhino. He attacks with large, energy arcs, {more or
less}, that fire in two positions. The low arc can be dodged by double jumping.
The high arc can be dodged by crouching. Start off by double jumping, because
you don't know which position it is going to fire. You can tell when he is
going to attack by looking at his shoulders. You will notice his elbow pop out
of shoulder before he fires. Other then that, he is no challenge. Just attack
his head with projectiles with ever you get the chance. It will take about
25-30 hits to kill.
-----------------
7. Altered Beasts
-----------------
Each level of the game has it's own Altered Beast to transform into. To become
an Altered Beast, you must get the three Morph Orbs. The first two Morph Orbs
you get, just makes you stronger.
Wolf
Stage 1 - The Graveyard of Heroes
Projectile - Fireball
Launches a red fireball from his palms and travel straight.
Melee - Wolf Kick
Engulfed in red flames, {that resemble a wolf's head}, you fly across the
screen.
Lion
Stage 2 - The African Jungle
Projectile - U-Turn Sphere
Fires a blue energy sphere that moves forward for a bit, then turns upwards and
back.
Melee - Energy Arc
You jump in a arc, while spinning with blue energy. Be careful, you come out of
the arc before you touch the ground.
Dragon
Stage 3 - The Black Swamp
Projectile - Thunder Bolt
Fires a golden, energy bolt from his fist and travels straight.
Melee - Thunder Talon
While kicking, your body surges with electricity, making you temporarily
untouchable.
Bear
Stage 4 - The Cave of Darkness
Projectile - Stone Breath
Spews incredible, dense air from his mouth that travels straight.
Melee - Energy Arc
You jump in a arc, while spinning with green energy. Unlike the Lion, you come
out of it as soon as you land.
Blue Shark
Stage 5 - The Sunken City
Projectile - Air Bubble
Spews a air bubble from the mouth and travels straight.
Melee - Tail Whip
You spin around and whack anything in front of you with your tail.
Tiger
Stage 6 - The Great Halls
Projectile - Energy Wave
Fires a energy ball that moves up and down, and gets larger as it moves
straight. Note, I don't think a larger energy ball has a strength difference.
Melee - Tiger Kick
Engulfed in flames, {that resembles a tiger's head}, you fly straight up and
straight back down.
Phoenix
Stage 7 - The Volcano Plains
Projectile - Spitfire
Fires a small fireball from his fist, that travels straight
Melee - Blaze Torpedo
Engulfed by flames, you fly across the screen.
Gold Wolf
Stage 8 - The Final Battle
Projectile - Fireball
Launches a blue fireball from his palms and travel straight.
Melee - Wolf Kick
Engulfed in blue flames, {that resemble a wolf's head}, you fly across the
screen.
--------------
8. Walkthrough
--------------
Like I wrote before, you will travel around the world through eight stages. Note
that the levels are longer if you don't get the first three Morph Orbs that
appear.
Stage 1 - The Graveyard of Heroes
Enemies - Zombie
Dioskilos
Goliath
Gargoyle
As Zeus resurrects you, {in the original, you hear a memorable voice clip;
"Rise from your grave"} begin moving forward to encounter your first enemy. A
Zombie will pop out of the ground and another soon after. After dispatching of
them, an Albino will come from the right. Watch his movements and quickly kill
him to get the Morph Orb. Soon after, a Ghoul will appear. Be careful when
attacking Ghouls, always crouch punch. Don't run up an attack, because another
two Zombies will pop out of the ground near the Ghoul. After those three
continue forward until another Albino appears. Don't attack the Albino just
yet, wait for the Common to come from behind. Take both out and continue
forward. A Zombie and Ghoul will appear. Take them out quickly and watch out
from behind, because an Albino and regular Common will appear shortly after the
Ghoul and Zombie. Quickly get the last Morph Orb to transform into the Wolf.
Soon after, a Goliath will make his first appearance and with a Ghoul as his
back up. Continue forward and Zombies will pop out of the ground, as well as
fall from the sky. Soon a Gould will appear. Take it out and move to the far
right, because there will be Zombies popping out of the ground from the middle
of the screen. Afterwards, move back into the middle of the screen and watch
out for the Gargoyle from the top right screen. Double jump and dispatch it.
Shortly after that, a Goliath, a Ghoul, and a couple of Zombies will follow.
After all that the, one of the servants of the Lord of the Underworld appears.
Abomination - This strange looking boss has one attack: it can decapitate
himself and throw four heads, that travel straight, then down.
His attack tracks you only in the general area that your in, so
it's not accurate. You can destroy his attack with either of your
attacks. The best way to attack is using your Projectile, because
using your Melee will damage you. Although, if you find the right
spot, you can use your Melee. To kill him, you need to hit him
20x. The best tactic I found, was to stay on the far left and
attack him with Projectiles. Then, when his heads are about to
hit you, use Melee to destroy them and continue your assault
with projectiles. Then just keep going back and forth until
destroyed.
Stage 2 - The African Jungle
Enemies - Jackal
Gargoyle
Dioskilos
Vulture
Demon
As soon as you begin, Jackals will appear from the right. Watch its movement
and attack when you are ready. Continue forward, taking out any Jackals until a
Gargoyle appears from the top right. Finish off the Gargoyle, and a Jackal will
attack from the right and one from the left. Dispatch another Jackal
afterwards, and a Common will appear. After taking it out, watch the left
screen, because a Vulture will make it's first appearance and an Albino will
appear at the left side of the screen. After getting your first Morph Orb and
taking out the Vulture, a Jackal and another Vulture will appear on the left
side of the screen. Afterwards, another Vulture from the left, then another
Common from the right and then another Vulture on the left, accompanied by a
Albino from the right. After the reputation, a Jackal will appear from the left
and soon after a Common from the same side. Then, another two Common, a
Vulture, and an Albino from the left. You will soon meet another servant to the
Lord of the Underworld. Two Jackals, one after another, will appear from the
right. Then a Gargoyle from the right, and a Demon from the left. The servant
will appear as soon as you kill the Demon.
Warhog - This giant, humanoid hog has one attack: he fires large fireballs from
his fist that travel in an arc. When they land, they set the area on
fire, making it hard to dodge. His fireballs do track you, but use
your Melee to destroy them. You can also put out the fires with either
of your attacks. A neat trick you can do is to punch the fireballs as
they land on you, and if your lucky, your Projectile to fires at the
Warhog. Basically, just use your Melee to go back and forth, and when
you get the chance, hit him with your projectile. An easier way to
kill him is to first see how far his fist comes out from under the
ground. Then get as close as you can to where its fist comes up and
attack every time it executes its attack. This will destroy the
fireballs it throws and hurt it in the process. It may Hit him 20x to
destroy him.
Stage 3 - The Black Swamp
Enemies - Globule
Dioskilos
Wyrm
Gryphon
Gargoyle
This is my favorite level, because you become a Dragon. As soon as you begin,
move into the center, because two Globules will fall from the left and another
two from the right. Quickly kick them, before they hop onto your head. After
you kill them, a Common will appear from the right. Don' go after him, just
stay to the far left, because Globules will pop out of the ground. A Albino
will also join the group, so kill it quickly before it goes away. Afterwards,
stay near the left side, because there are Wyrms in the ground and ceiling.
Continue on fighting, until you see an Albino. Watch the left and right sides,
because the Gryphon will make it's first appearance. Take them out quickly,
so you can get the Albino. Soon after, a Wyrm will come from the ceiling and
then Globules will start attacking from both sides. Then, a Gryphon will appear
from the right, then a Common from the left. After taking care of those two, an
Albino will appear, with a Gryphon on both sides of the screen. Now, you can
kill those annoying Wyrms. After a couple of Globules and a Gryphon, a blue
Gargoyle will appear. Don't be in the middle of the screen when you kill the
Gargoyle, because a Globule will fall. After that, only a Wyrm stands between
you and another of the servants of the Lord of the Underworld.
Beholder - This multi-eyed beast is quite easy. His attack is to fire four
floating eyes that move in an predictable pattern. Note that two
eyes move faster then the other two. To beat him, you must hit him
20x in the large, central eye. The best strategy I found was to wait
near the bottom of the level until he fires his eyes, then fly up
and hit him four times with either attack. Then repeat until dead.
Stage 4 - The Cave of Darkness
Enemies - Antman
Dioskilos
Goliath
Turnail
Gryphon
As soon as you begin, Antmen will begin attacking from left and right. When you
see a Common Dioskilos appear from the right, an Albino will follow with a
Goliath. When your done, a Turnail will appear. When you dispatch it, wait on
the left side of the platform, because an Albino will appear at the right edge.
Continue on and watch out for the Goliath from the left and the one from the
right. Ignore the left and quickly kill the right one. Then jump to the high
platform, then move to the lowest platform and wait at the left edge. Soon an
Albino will drop down and if you weren't there, you would have missed the
Albino. Continue right, taking out any enemy in your path, but stay near the
left edge of the screen, because a Turnail will fall sooner or later. Soon the
next servant of the Lord of the Underworld will show his face.
Mollusk - This dragon snail has an annoying attack: he fires four large
fireballs that not only moves in a downward spiral, but also covers
the left side of the screen to the shell of the creature. The only
good news is that it's slow and there is a trick to dodge it. First,
get as close as you can to the shell, then turn left and crouch, then
when the fireballs get close to you, use your Melee and you should
land in the middle of the swirl. Now while your doing this, attack
20x to kill it. It also has the ability to fire mucus in the swirl,
along with the fireballs. Luckily, they can destroyed.
Level 5 - The Sunken City
Enemies - Manta Ray
Ammonite
Hammerhead Shark
Merman
Dioskilos
Crustacean
Not only is this the most irritating level, but it also has the hardest boss in
the game. Begin moving forward, ignore any Manta Rays, unless they get in the
way. When you see an Ammonite in the top right corner, watch your back because
another will appear behind you. Dodge it, and move on. After a while, a Merman
will appear. Quickly take it out, before it takes you out. Soon a Common and an
Albino will appear. Continue on, dodging Ammonites and any other enemies until
a Common appears on the left. Right after it is a Merman and an Albino. Get
your Morph Orb and move on. Soon you will encounter the Crustaceans. Continue
forward, killing dodging or killing anything in your way and watch the bottom
right screen, because a Hammerhead will make an appearance. When a Merman
appears, watch the left screen because a Common will appear and later an
Albino. Grab the last Morph Orb and kill the Merman that stands between you and
the next servant.
Kraken - Ready for the hardest boss in the game!?! The reason that it is hard
is that its weak point is guarded well. The Kraken has two attacks,
{and one acts as a shield too}; first he can spit globs of ink at you,
and he swings one of his tentacles around. His weak point is the eye
closest to the mouth. Because of his tentacle guarding it, and his
accurate aim with it's ink globs, it's hard to get a hit. The best way
to attack is to stay near the top of the screen, { preferably in the
middle}, and continually dodge his ink globs, until it starts to move
it's tentacle away. Then quickly swim to the left and shoot his eye.
Also note that he swings his tentacle away from his eye twice, so try
to attack at his second swing. This may take a while, since it's hard
to hit it's eye and you can only get one shot at a time. After twenty
hits, the Kraken will fall. Note, you can't destroy the ink globs and
you can't hit him with your Melee.
Level 6 - The Great Halls
Enemies - Zombie
Ghoul
Dioskilos
Griffon
Demon
Globules
Begin moving forward and you will encounter some familiar faces. Take out the
Zombies, and watch out for the Ghouls on the left and the Common from the
right. Also, after you kill the Zombies, a Griffon will fall from the left and
another from the right. After that, an Albino will from the right. After all
that taken care of, continue right and watch the top of the screen for a Demon.
After a while, another Griffon while fall from the right and another from the
left. Once again, an Albino will fall from the right after the two Griffons.
You should have noticed the Ghouls coming from behind. Take them out, then
watch for another Demon to appear. Continue forward, taking out any enemies in
the way and watch your back from time to time. When a Common falls from the
right, get ready for another two Griffons, and an Albino from the left. Once
you turn into a Tiger, watch the ground for Globules. Continue forward and put
that Tiger Kick to use. When you reach a Demon, the servant is only a few steps
sway.
Efreet - This boss I would consider to be the second hardest boss of the game.
It has two attack: he can fire a stream of four large magmaballs, and
can summon little firebirds to help. The firebirds can get annoying,
only if you are trying to dodge his magma stream. The best way to
dodge his magma stream is to double jump, and just as you nearly touch
the stream, use your Melee. Now as you are doing this, try to use your
projectile attack as much as you can. Note, they he will not shake
when you hit, so don't worry if you think you didn't hit him. Another
quick note, DON"T USE THE TIGER KICK NEAR OR ON HIM, because you will
only hurt yourself. Hit him 20x in the large red orb in it's stomach,
and it will fall.
Stage 7 - The Volcano Plains
Enemies - Jersey Devil
Drake
Goliath
Dioskilos
As soon as you begin, duck, because there will be a Jersey Devil flying
over you and another from the top right. As you continue, a pair of Drakes and
a Goliath come from the right. Battle on until a Common appears from the right.
Soon an Albino and a Goliath will appear afterwards. Quickly kill the right
Goliath and Albino, because you probably noticed the two Goliaths coming from
the right. Continue on and a Demon will fly from the left. After its defeat a
Common will appear from the left. A Goliath will appear from the right and
another from the left, with an Albino afterwards. Continue forward and soon
another Common from the right, with two Goliaths and a Albino. Now just use
your Melee to take care of monsters until you reach the final servant.
Beelzebub - Is it just me, or does he have really big man boobs? Anyway, this
servant has two attacks: he can spit purple worms, and summon
lightning, which are both destructible. The summon lightning has a
pattern, so start counting. Other then that, this servant is
relatively easy compare to the last two. His weak point is the
bubbling mass on his lower torso. I think it takes about 25-30 hits
to kill.
Stage 8 - The Final Battle
Enemies - Bruiser
Unicorn Warrior
Bouncer
Dioskilos
Dilofish
This level can be hard, because of all the strong enemies. Begin forward and a
few Bruisers will start popping out. After taking a couple out, a Unicorn
Warrior will pop out from the left. Continue battling until a Common appears
from the left. Soon a Unicorn Warrior will appear from the right and another
paired up with a Bruiser from the left. Then an Albino will appear from the
right. After all that, continue forward a watch out for the Demon from the top
left. Continue forward and be careful of all the Unicorn Warriors and Bruisers
that pop out. Soon a Common will appear followed soon after by an Albino from
the left. Afterwards, another Albino will pop out from the right soon. Now that
your the Golden Wolf, take out as many of the monsters as you can. A new enemy
will fall from the right, so watch yourself. Battle on until the last Bruiser
is on top of the hill. Once it is destroyed, the Lord of the Underworld
appears.
Lord of Darkness - Appears a large humanoid rhino. He attacks with large,
energy arcs, {more ore less}, that fire in two positions.
The low arc can be dodged by double jumping. The high arc
can be dodged by crouching. Start off by double jumping,
because you don't know which position it is going to fire.
You can tell when he is going to attack by looking at his
shoulders. You will notice his elbow pop out of shoulder
before he fires. Other then that, he is no challenge. Just
attack his head with projectiles with ever you get the
chance. It will take about 25-30 hits to kill.
Ending
When the Lord of Underworld collapses, a dove flies out and transforms into
Athena. After the credits, you return Athena to Zeus and the curtains fall.
When the lights are turned on, you and Athena are sitting together in the
theater.

9.Review

Graphics = 2.5
Sound/Music = 2.5
Gameplay = 3.5
Overall = 3.5
This game was and still is a classic, no matter what version. Graphically, this
game is average. The backgrounds may be good, but colors were not used well and
its the same with the characters. Sound/Music is also average, but they did a
decent job off porting the arcade music. Gameplay is what makes this game fun.
Although not a long game, you can still play it quite a bit. Some people will
probably think it gets repetitive, but its still a game you can pick up and
play once in a while. Overall, a fun game worth trying out and beating it a
least once.
